Calif. proposes a bill to criminalize undercover journalism

California Democrat Assembly-member Mia Bonta authored bill AB 2624 which has advanced out of the Assembly Judiciary Committee on a reported 11-2 vote as of April 13th. It has yet to become law, but if it does, the Golden State will become even more Orwellian than it already is.

Let me 'splain.

Assembly-member Carl DeMaio and independent journalist and YouTuber Nick Shirley along with other critics, have dubbed the bill the "Stop Nick Shirley Act," asserting that it would put the kibosh on investigative journalism by allowing taxpayer-funded organizations [particularly those serving immigrant communities] to demand the removal of videos that record in or even around their facilities, while imposing civil penalties, (such as fines up to $10,000 in some descriptions).

Nick Shirley has used public filming to expose alleged fraud in daycares, hospices, and government-funded programs, and opponents say the bill is a direct response to shield such entities from scrutiny.

So the 'Learing Centers' will remain in business by not providing services to children who don't go there, for example.

Supporters frame the bill as protecting privacy, particularly of those committing fraud, preventing doxxing/harassment, which is exceedingly a tactic on the left, and safeguarding vulnerable organizations or clients (e.g., in immigration support services and other 'Learing Centers') rather than broadly banning journalism.

The bill targets the release or use of recordings in specific contexts involving fraudulent government-funded entities, not all undercover work.

This is not the first time California has seen proposals affecting undercover or hidden-camera investigations. Past efforts included "ag-gag" [agriculture gag] style bills aimed at farms (to restrict secret filming of animal cruelty), some of which failed or were challenged on free speech grounds. An older bill (AB 1671 from 2016) sought to punish media for publishing certain undercover videos of health care providers but did not broadly pass in the criticized form.

Similar "ag-gag" laws in other states have faced court challenges for restricting First Amendment-protected news-gathering. As of April 15, 2026, AB 2624 remains in the legislative process (likely needing further votes in the Assembly and Senate, plus the governor's signature to become law). Some internet platforms make claims that it has already "passed" but it is only at the committee stage.

The bill's final scope, constitutionality (especially regarding public recordings or news gathering), and enforcement would depend on its exact text if enacted.

For the latest status, check the official California Legislative Information site (leginfo.legislature.ca.gov) for AB 2624. Free speech concerns around restrictions on filming in public or semi-public spaces tied to government funding have drawn significant criticism from journalists and transparency advocates across the spectrum.

SecDef Hegseth demands stricter orders on credentials to "protect national security"

Secretary of Defense, Peter Brian Hegseth, has issued orders Friday for journalists with access to the Pentagon, as the Trump administration is trying to plug the holes where sensitive information had been leaking like a used three-day-old baby diaper.

According to the new rules, credentialed reporters from most DoD headquarters in Arlington, VA, will not have access without official approval and escort, Hegseth's memorandum states.

The SecDef describes this move to protect classified national intelligence information and even sensitive unclassified information regarding operational security as "an unwavering imperative for the Department."

"While the Department remains committed to transparency, the Department is equally obligated to protect [Classified National Security Information] and sensitive information - the unauthorized disclosure of which could put the lives of U.S. Service members in danger," the secretary, a former US Army Major, said.

The new order will soon have members of the Pentagon press corps sing a form acknowledging their responsibility to protect national intelligence and sensitive information. [It's amazing this hasn't been standard operating procedure prior to Hegseth's appointment.] Journalists will also be issued new shiny badges that clearly identify them as members of the Pentagon press corps.

"We also anticipate a forthcoming announcement of additional security measures and enhanced scrutiny on the issuance of [credentials]," the memo said. "Failure by any member of the resident or visiting press to comply with these control measures will result in further restrictions and possibly revocation of press credentials."

The Pentagon Press Association (PPA), a membership organization representing the press corps covering the U.S. military, whined that the new rules seem to demonstrate a "direct attack on the freedom of the press." [What, is the PPA funded by China?]

"The decision is purportedly based on concerns about operational security," the group said in a statement. "But the Pentagon Press Corps has had access to non-secured, unclassified spaces in the Pentagon for decades, under Republican and Democratic administrations, including in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, without any concern about OP-SEC from DoD leadership."

Yes, and thus the leaks, you dolts. Just last month, the Pentagon fired three officials after announcing a leak investigation in March at the Department of Defense, so Hegseth is getting out ahead of the curve.

The Pentagon has also required legacy news outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Politico, NPR, CNN and NBC News, to vacate their office spaces in the building, and will have their offices fumigated from the stink. They plan to bring in more administration-friendly outlets like the New York Post, the Daily Caller, One America News Network, and Breitbart.

The department said the rotation system aimed to allow other media outlets the opportunity to cover the Pentagon as resident members of the press corps.

Hopefully these outlets will report honestly and not simply be typists for the administration. Based on their track record, it's likely we will get a better, more honest perspective of government than we did in the past.

Finally, the administration has begun using lie detector tests to probe unauthorized leaks at federal agencies. Some Department of Homeland Security officials were told they could be fired for refusing polygraphs. It's like a cop asking you to take a breathalyzer test to see why you rear-ended a car parked in a driveway and you sound like Joe Biden when you speak but you refuse the test. You're going to jail and lose your driving privileges for a period of time.

The White House said President Trump will not tolerate leaks to the media and that federal employees who leak material should be held accountable.

Hegseth is ensuring it doesn't happen on his watch.

Pothole Pete won't tell us why it took 3 weeks to show up at East Palestine

When you don't know the name of the U.S. Transportation Secretary, that is the definition of a good one. It's not unlike a good baseball umpire or NFL referee--they do such a good job, you don't get to see them before a problem is solved, because they solve the problems before they get out of hand.

Then there's Pete Buttigieg.

As most people are aware, on February 3rd of this month, a catastrophic train derailment led to a vinyl chloride spill and fire in the small Ohio town named East Palestine [pronounced 'Palesteen'. A containment fire was started to handle the spill but it did more harm than good. But the EPA and a few Democrats said the water was safe to drink, but didn't bother to test their 'science' by taking a drink themselves.

Meanwhile, the Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, was nowhere to be found in the mostly White, Republican town in Ohio.

The public was livid that Pete didn't bother to come to assure the townsfolk, assess the damage and do an overview of the situation, and they said so on social media. It finally got Buttigieg's attention and he thought he better get his butt to the site.

However, when on Thursday he was asked by the press why it took him one day shy of three weeks to get to East Palestine, he refused to explain. He ignored press inquiries and his own press secretary also refused to answer the questions in front of the cameras.

Turning Point USA reporter Savanah Hernandez posted footage of Buttigieg’s visit to East Palestine, asking the useless Transportation Secretary why it took him nearly three weeks to visit the area.

“Why did it take you an entire two and a half weeks to actually get here to respond to East Palestine? Will you apologize to the residents of this city for the slow response,” she asked as the incompetent Buttigieg ignored her, walking away, Biden style.

A woman then approached Hernandez, identifying herself as Buttigieg’s press secretary.

“I don’t want to be on camera, please,” she said, offering to answer questions on the condition that cameras were off. After all, the public doesn't have the right to know what their government is doing.

Hernandez asked again why it took the Alfred E. Neuman lookalike so long to respond to the disaster, but his press secretary refused to answer because of the presence of cameras and the fear of accountability to the people they are sworn to serve.

“I’m sorry. I don’t want to do this on camera,” she said as other reporters jumped in.

“I’m happy to talk to you guys off camera,” she said as Hernandez asked her a question again.

“I’m happy to have a conversation with you. I do not want to be on camera,” the press secretary responded. A man then told members of the press to put the cameras away, to which Hernandez responded it was a public area, and they were, therefore, allowed to have them rolling.

Imagine, a so called press secretary censoring the press. Anyway, Ms. Hernandez tweeted:
I asked Sec. Buttigieg why it took him almost 3 weeks to come and speak to residents of East Palestine.

His press Secretary then told me I was aggressive for trying to ask questions on camera: pic.twitter.com/bOB52DIq0O

— Savanah Hernandez (@sav_says_) February 23, 2023
It turns out that Buttigieg's visit to East Palestine came a few days after he said he would visit when "the time is right." By that he meant whenever he was pressured into visiting the disaster. But not so coincidentally, it appears, his visit came merely one day after former President Donald Trump visited, handing out truckloads of water and buying McDonald's for first responders.

“We’re like a third-world nation, and this is an example of it, the breakdown. Our whole country is breaking down,” Trump said during his visit with East Palestine residents, adding that Buttigieg “should have been here a long time ago.”

I disagree with Trump: Buttigieg should have been gone, a long time ago. Or better yet, he should have never gotten the job in the first place because it was only because he is gay and married to a guy, that the Biden administration appointed him. He was a failure as the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and is a failure as Transportation Secretary.

Compromised News Network's Brian Stelter will do anything to keep his job

The Compromised News Network's Brian "Are You Going to Eat That" Stelter said on Sunday that the Hunter Biden scandal isn't just some  "right-wing media story." That's a far cry from what he originally called the story: "a classic example of the right-wing media machine."

Now that CNN has made a management change, Stelter knows his job is on the line and he will do or say anything to, or for anyone, to keep his job.

"Brian Stelter is a TV-news fan boy who's self-worth is connected to being on air, even if no one watches his show. But one of the many reasons he's seen as such a joke is his transparent strategy of doing or saying anything to stay on TV," conservative talk radio host Jason Rantz told Fox News Digital.

"He's not a journalist; he's a publicist for whatever management asks of him. He sees the direction CNN is taking, and he knows he's not the right fit so, suddenly, he's shifting again," Rantz added. "If Stelter had credibility with the audience to begin with, this would be an issue. This is only about credibility with management, telling them he'll do what's necessary to keep that paycheck."

On "Reliable Sources," Stelter's Sunday show with an oxymoronic title, he implied that so-called President Biden's 2024 re-election ambitions could be dashed by the ongoing federal investigation into his drug-addled son, Hunter, in an interview with Mike LaRosa, the former press secretary for First Lady Doctor Jill Biden.

"What about his son? What about Hunter?" Stelter, who is not gay, asked softly. "Hunter under federal investigation, charges can be coming at any time, this is not just a right-wing media story. This is a real problem for the Bidens."

How uncharacteristic of Stelter to point out an obvious truth. This isn't how he initially reacted to the Hunter Biden scandal. Back in 2020, he said the scandal was "manufactured" and pro-Trump "whataboutism" from the right.

"There's a lot about this story that does not add up… for all we know, these emails were made up, or maybe some are real and some are fakes, we don't know," Stelter told his viewer in 2020 about the story which dealt with Hunter's overseas shady business dealings. "But we do know that this is a classic example of the right-wing media machine," he told the viewer.

He once called the New York Post's reporting of Hunter Biden's laptop a "manufactured scandal," a "so-called scandal" and suggested the newspaper is not a "fully reliable source," like he is.

The current CNN CEO Chris Licht is evaluating all CNN yarn-spinners and executives to determine who should remain on staff after the network had drifted all the way to the left under Jeff Zucker, whom Stelter was known to deeply admire and have a slight crush on.

Zucker left CNN in early 2022 ahead of a merger that put the network under the control of Warner Bros. Discovery.

Earlier this year, Axios named Stelter, along with Jim "Dear Diary" Acosta, as CNN hosts who could be shown the door if the new regime institutes an overhaul and attempts to become an actual news network.

Fox News contributor Joe Concha believes the move toward the middle by Stelter stems from CNN having a new boss who wants to put an emphasis on "news," as opposed to liberal talking points.

"He’s pretending like he’s actually never said these things and thinks that it could be a big problem for the president in 2024. Yeah, welcome to the party, pal," Concha said Monday on "FOX & Friends First."

"We’ve been talking about this for some time and don’t pretend like you [didn't] dismiss this story as a manufactured scandal and now, because you have a new boss, I guess he’s trying to keep his job by actually doing his job, by talking about this story the way it should be talked about," Concha said.

Yahoo News reporter--a candidate for Medal of Honor in his mind

"Your task will not be an easy one. The enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely. . . I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory! Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking--General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander

More than 4,400 Allied servicemen were killed in the assault, and 7,500 more were wounded or went missing, mostly Americans, but the true casualty figures were never known. What is known is that there were over 6,600 American casualties overall. The German casualty figures were never known but estimates range from 4,000 to 9,000. And these figures are just from the first day of the Battle of Normandy and by the time Normandy was fully secured, more than 425,000 casualties were inflicted on both sides and over 15,000 French civilians were killed.

Today, we have a national correspondent for Yahoo News who compared covering President Donald Trump's term in office to soldiers fighting on the bloody beaches of the Normandy Invasion, aka D-Day.

What a freaking hero. He even compared Trump supporters to the Nazis.

Alexander Nazaryan, who probably doesn't know which end of a rifle the bullet exits, has worked for Yahoo News since 2018. He made the D-Day comparison in a Thursday article originally titled "I Miss the Thrill of Trump." This brave reporter later changed the title to "I Was an Enemy of the People."

The point of Nazaryan's overly long piece was to tell his colleagues of their need to maintain an "adversarial" position toward those in power, but you can relax--the press will hardly do that with Biden.

But the salient point of the article was how he soldiered on covering Trump and compared his bravery to the men who died at the Normandy Invasion.

Give that man a Medal of Honor.

What a brave soul this man is--he reminds me of Brian Williams and Hillary Clinton all rolled up into one, covered in a bun of Richard Blumenthal, all war heroes they have claimed. All targets of enemies with guns. Google them.

Feeling the thrill yet?

“Covering the administration was thrilling for many journalists, in the way that I imagine storming Omaha Beach must have been for a 20-year-old fresh from the plains of Kansas,” Nazaryan wrote. “He hadn’t signed up for battle, but there he was, liberating France.”

To refer to the storming of a beach under heavy enemy fire as "thrilling" is proof this moron has no idea of the terror that was endured that day. He obviously has never been to war or if he had been and was fired upon and felt thrilled, he is a bigger moron than I originally thought.

Twitter users blasted the fool. Katie Pavlich of Townhall and a Fox News contributor posted:
Storming Omaha Beach was not “thrilling.” It was terrifying and a death sentence for thousands. How despicable this description is for endless reasons. Incredible ignorance and arrogance. https://t.co/TyvpFdFRl6
“When you accidentally publish your journal in the Atlantic,” mocked journalist Katie Herzog, who also pointed out the headline change.
Note the headline change https://t.co/3U0HO88ux9
— Katie Herzog (@kittypurrzog) February 11, 2021
Jeff Blehar, a journalist and cohost of a podcast for National Review, described Nazaryan’s Omaha Beach comparison:
Just an utterly breathtaking paragraph. pic.twitter.com/A2W9j7Pc2d
— Jeff B., who on earth is this guy?? (@EsotericCD) February 11, 2021
It's disgusting on so many levels, and hard to believe that Nazaryan is taken seriously by anyone who ever served in war, or has the imagination to understand what it must have been like on that Tuesday morning of June 6, 1944.

Jake Tapper feels bullied by POTUS: "It's not fair"

Jake Tapper

Comedy News Network's anchor Jake Tapper is ticked off at President Trump because he posted "mean tweets" about him and c'mon, that's not fair, and he isn't going to be his friend and he isn't talking to him anymore.

Of course this got social media to respond to Tapper's statement and he was blasted on Monday.

It began when Fox News host Mark Levin mocked Tapper along with CNN’s in-house, not gay media pundit, Brian Stelter in a tweet, along with a segment in which Tapper bravely called White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany a liar.

"Helter Stelter, Fake Tapper, et all, have forever destroyed their reputations. CNN has been fully exposed by Project Veritas and the daily insane rants of their on-air Democrat," Levin wrote, in reference to recordings of CNN's conference calls that were recently published by Project Veritas. One can hear on the calls the network heads ditching a negative story about Biden's campaign.

Trump retweeted Levin’s message which angered Tapper, a guy known for going after young reporters who dare write negative facts about him in private messages. Tapper went public in his criticism of Trump.

"The American people are suffering though the deadliest month of the pandemic and the president is RTing mean tweets about me," Tapper weeped and accompanied a screen shot of Levin's tweet with "Donald J. Trump retweeted" highlighted.

Tapper's covertly tearful response got a barge load of responses as well. Curtis Houck managing editor of NewsBusters responded: "The pettiest man in news, everyone."

And Mark Levin also chimed in: "You’re such a clown, Jake. No circumspection. No professionalism. All narcissism all the time."

After Tapper had gone after McEnany, saying that he doesn't have her on his program because she "lies the way that, you know, most people breathe," and therefore isn’t valuable to viewers.she slammed back with this perfect response:
"This is a therapy session for a broken network, and @jaketapper is lazy enough to participate by lobbing baseless personal attacks, with ZERO evidence," McEnany wrote. "Jake’s real problem: I do not leak. I do not lie. But I DO call out the lies of the media (i.e. CNN Russia collusion hoax!)"
Meanwhile,  another make believe journalist at CNN, Jim Acosta, said that he will not be doing any real journalisming with Joe Biden as President because it may damage the Democratic Party and the advancement of Marxism.

Good luck, America.

BLM counter-protester who punched pro-Trumper ID'd as a journalism student

A Black Lives Matter Marxist who was videoed punching a Trump supporter in her head last weekend at the Million MAGA March in Washington, D.C., has reportedly been identified as a Howard University journalism student, as reported by the Post Millennial, and she also works as a freelance journalist.

The cowardly attacker, Brittany S. [as in Scumcrumpet] McAlister, 29, of Washington, D.C. punched the Trump supporter unexpectedly and cowardly fled back into her group of BLMers.  Graphic videos of multiple attacks in D.C. were also posted on social media, including video of McAlister running up and punching the Trump supporter from behind at Black Lives Matter Plaza.

In another incident also captured on video, the cowardly McAlister allegedly kicked an unconscious man after he had reportedly been been sucker-punched by Kenneth Wayne Deberry, 39, who was reluctantly arrested and charged by police.

And they say journalism is dead.

According to a news release from the Metropolitan Police Department, McAlister has not been arrested and is not yet charged with any crime, though police say they are looking for the suspect in the film, much like O.J. Simpson is still looking for Nicole Brown Simpson's killer.

D.C. police are asking for help identifying suspects in violent crimes captured on video Saturday because they simply cannot believe their lying eyes.

The Post Millennial reported screenshots of a tweet from the far-left group Refuse Fascism [a clever term used to cover up the fact that they are the real fascists and if you don't go along with that, you are a fascist] that has since been deleted profiling McAlister.

The lovely Ms. McAlister had also given a speech at Black Lives Matter Plaza, but her social media accounts have been deactivated for some reason.

Tens of thousands of Trump supporters had gathered in D.C. for a "Stop the Steal" rally at Freedom Plaza to show support for President Donald Trump as his campaign continues to challenge the results of the election. During the day protests were peaceful.

However as night fell, counter-protesters committed acts of violence against Trump supporters who stayed behind after the protests were over.

People were ambushed from behind. An elderly man was shoved to the ground by a person too scared to go after a younger and more physically challenging individual. Another couple was outnumbered and harassed, and others were ganged up on and brutally beaten.

Police arrested merely 21 people in D.C. following these violent incidents. Had they been more proactive, the number of arrests would have been much higher.
Stabbing victim at Million
MAGA March

President Trump naturally weighed in on the violence on Twitter, criticizing D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser for "not doing her job." But of course, as a leftist, Bowser was doing her job by allowing BLM to terrorize peaceful protesters whose opinions differ from the Democratic Party.

In a standard, yadda yadda statement given to Fox News, Howard University strongly condemned "all forms of violence and abhorrent behavior."

"The University has stringent policies and procedures in place to investigate potential wrongdoing and will take the appropriate action against any student found to be in violation of our Code of Conduct," the university claimed.

As previously mentioned, yadda, yadda.

The Metropolitan Police Department also has stringent policies and procedures in place to deal with violence and those who commit violence. A lot of good that did to the victims of Mayor Bowser's BLM battalion.

Biden has racist gaffe: 'If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black'

In an interview with African-American radio host Charlamagne the God on "The Breakfast Club," presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden let it slip again that he's a racist. I say "again" because it isn't the first time he publicly proved who he is.

Remember when discussing Mitt Romney's presidential run when Biden was speaking to a black audience and said of the senator, "He's gonna put y'all back in chains." That wasn't only a lie, it was downright racist.

But no worries, Joe, the media will cover for you.

During the interview from Friday on the radio, Biden, in defense of his racial issues said, "If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black."

That's more than a simple gaffe--it's an attitude that shows the Democrats believe they own the black vote, like the southern Democrats that owned slaves. It's disgusting but it won't matter come November as it now stands. Biden will have to screw up a lot worse for it to destroy his chances of beating Trump, who the media portray [without objective evidence] as a racist.

The interview began with Charlamagne telling Biden bluntly, “You know, I’ve been critical of you…”

“I know you have,” Biden interjected before Charlamagne could finish his thought. “You don’t know me,” he added, before breaking into a grin, which for him, is a 'tell' that he's angry.

After the two diffused the situation by asking how each were doing, Biden made sure to say that “the black community is getting killed” amid the coronavirus crisis, a comment with which the host heartily agreed.

It's as if Trump has command of the little buggers and is sending them to the black community for some strange reason.

The host allowed Biden a few minutes to give his talking points about the COVID-19 response designed to criticize Trump, but then he put the tottering old geezer on the spot about what “a lot of black voters, including myself, feel”: that the “Democrats take black voters for granted.”

Which Biden proved with what he said about blacks who don't vote for him.

See the entire video below.

Biden responded by citing his overwhelming victory in some primary contests, which does not answer the question posed to him about taking black votes for granted. In fact, one might think it supports Charlamagne's premise.

“What people don’t know about me is that I come from the state with the eighth largest black population in America,” Biden declared, looking almost angry, and evidently thinking he comes from Alabama, which is 8th having 26.38% of blacks in the population. In fact, Biden comes from Scranton, Pennsylvania, which is 23rd, with 10.79% regarding black percentage of population. Even Delaware, which he pretends to come from, is 10th, with 20.95%.

“I get 96% of that vote for the last 40 years. They are the first that, as I say it my way, ‘brung me to the dance.’… I get overwhelming support from the black leadership, young and old.”

Which kind of implies that he might expect them to vote for him and thus takes them for granted.

After Biden rattled off various decisions and positions he’s taken that he said were on behalf of the black community, the host asked him about his potential running mate, particularly reports that Sen. Amy Klobuchar, a white woman who eats salad with a comb, was being vetted as his choice. Those reports, said Charlamagne, had a lot of black people “not too happy” because they want his running mate to be an African American woman, particularly since black voters are so crucial to his electoral chances.

Biden was asked by the host what he would say to those critics in the black community, and Gropey Joe responded, “What I say to them is that I’m not acknowledging anybody who is being considered, but I guarantee you there are multiple black women being considered. Multiple.”

“Thanks so much. That’s really our time. I apologize,” an aide from "A Place for Dad" interjected.

“You can’t do that to black media!” Charlamagne replied.

“I do that to white media and black media because my wife has to go on at 6 o’clock,” said Biden. “Ooh. Uh oh, I’m in trouble,” he added, which worried Charlamagne who thought Biden had gone incontinent.

“Listen, you’ve got to come see us when you come to New York, VP Biden,” said Charlamagne. “It’s a long way until November. We’ve got more questions…”

“You’ve got more questions?” Biden said. “Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

“It don’t have nothing to do with Trump,” Charlamagne replied. “It has to do with the fact I want something for my community. I would love to see…”

“Take a look at my record, man!” Biden, clearly angry exclaimed.

A number of people responded to the racist interview on Twitter.
If @realDonaldTrump said this there would be riots in the street. I held picket signs and protested segregation, while Joe Biden fought for it. I will proudly support Trump, let's see him tell me to my face I'm not black.
— Burgess Owens (@BurgessOwens) May 22, 2020
Even Don Junior tweeted:
So interesting how @twitter is censoring the racist clip of @JoeBiden telling black Americans that they “ain’t black” if they don’t vote for him.
They’re trying to protect Joe! They don’t want the American people to know about his disgusting & dehumanizing racist mentality. pic.twitter.com/H5Ch9xEKob
— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) May 22, 2020
But like it was mentioned above, the media will protect Biden and only go after Trump.

Also, the left-leaning media will only report on things that suit their narrative. For example, you probably won't hear much about the 20-year-old black man beating on a white 75-year-old nursing home resident and also beating on an elderly lady. The idiot perpetrator videoed himself in the act and that was how he was identified and caught.
If it was a white guy beating on a black resident, you know it would be in every paper and TV network across the nation. And somehow, it would all be Trump's fault. But you won't see Rev. Al Sharptongue or Don Lemon discussing this.

What has happened to journalism has made the country worse for it.

Communist News Network's Jim Acosta tries to divide America and hurt COVID-19 efforts

CNN's Jim Acosta has once again proven that not only is he not a journalist but a useful idiot for the Communist Party, but that he would want to see President Trump's efforts at getting the government to deal with the COVID-19 [coronavirus] fail and allow Americans to die in the process.

There's little doubt that this is the Communist News Network's latest attempt to weaponize coronavirus against President Trump. [H/T Fox News]

Acosta’s story headlined, “Source: Trump is concerned about coming into contact with people infected with coronavirus,” cited a single source “close to” the president who said Trump is worried after coming into contact with a Brazilian official who tested positive for coronavirus. The president of Brazil also later tested positive for the virus.
"See, I'm touching you; I'm touching you."
Acosta, on the other hand, says that he welcomes contact with those infected with the virus that has now become a pandemic. "I touch strangers; I touch children," he said, "and I'm going to continue touching people no matter what the cost to my personal safety. Trump doesn't have the guts to touch people with coronavirus because, unlike me and Brian Stelter, we enjoy the touch and contact with strangers."

Reacting to Acosta's words Media Research Center Vice President Dan Gainor told Fox News: "This is them most idiotic thing I've seen all week. And this week that's saying something. Of course, ‘Trump is concerned about coming into contact with people infected with coronavirus.’ We all are. And we're all supposed to be. That's how you stop a virus, by being concerned about who you interact with and taking precautions.”

“I know Jim Acosta hates Trump. But this is even stupid for one of the most ridiculous figures in the history of journalism. What's amazing is Acosta isn't even good at trolling Trump. All he does is embarrass CNN and further degrade the news industry,” Gainor said. “CNN is trying to hurt Trump and divide our country in a time of national crisis.”

DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall said that Acosta’s story “clearly falls into the category of ‘this is not news’” and simply the latest example of CNN’s anti-Trump business model.

“That CNN and it's White House correspondent want to make a big deal out of a normal concern is just more indication of their wide-ranging agenda to pester the Trump administration,” McCall told Fox News.

But Acosta doubled-down: "I welcome a fight with COVID-19. I'm not afraid a little microscopic organism can hurt me--I'm Jim Freaking Acosta."

The O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper reported Thursday that Fabio Wajngarten, met with President Trump in Mar-A-Lago on Saturday, tested positive for the virus early Wednesday. Health officials confirmed the diagnosis.

Friday, Fox News confirmed that Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil's president who also met with Trump on Saturday, also tested positive. This may be a factor in President Trump's concern--he is, at the age of 73, within the parameters of those most highly vulnerable to the virus.

This story is what is known as a CNN "scoop."

“Any sensible person would prefer to avoid the virus, so reporting that Trump is concerned is really a ‘so what?’ moment journalistically,” McCall said. “Using an unnamed source to leak this story when there are plenty of on-the-record sources available to the media to discuss the matter is also curious. Given the many other important aspects of the COVID-19 situation that need attention, this comes off as a real journalistic tangent and waste of time.”

Gainor’s colleague, MRC director Tom Graham, joked that the alternative headline could have been, “EVERYONE is concerned about coming into contact with people infected with coronavirus.”

It's time for Jim Acosta to do what he is more suited for: becoming a test pilot. Yes, he can test the pilot light of old gas stoves that still use a pilot light rather than the modern day igniter. If Acosta can blow out the tiny flame, the stove is considered defective . . .  like his thinking.

Pelosi goes after James Rosen, gets toasted

Speaker Nancy "Dancing Dentures" Pelosi (D-CA) called journalist James Rosen of Sinclair Broadcast Group "Mr. Republican talking points" Thursday after he asked her a whistleblower question at a press conference.

"And so I wonder if you could explain to the American people why the legal rights of the whistleblower should prevail in this political setting over those of President Trump, who should ordinarily enjoy a right to confront his accuser," Rosen asked Pelosi.

Pelosi's feathers were ruffled.

"Well, let me just say this," Pelosi responded, her acrimonious smile betraying her anger as she pointed at Rosen. "I'll say to you, Mr. Republican Talking Points, what I said to the president of the United States: When you talk about the whistleblower, you're coming into my wheelhouse."

She then bragged, while unwittingly revealing her age:
"I have more experience in intelligence than anybody in the Congress, anybody that's ever served, 25 years on the committee as top Democrat, ex officio, as Speaker and leader. I was there when we wrote the whistleblower laws. The whistleblower is there to speak truth to power and have protection for doing that. And any, any retribution or harm coming to a whistleblower undermines our ability to hear truth about power. So, I will defend the rights of the whistleblower vehemently, vehemently."

When Rosen pushed back, Pelosi said Trump can make his case to before those overseeing impeachment proceedings, adding that "the president is not above the law, the president will be held accountable, and nobody should have the right to endanger whistleblowers, and that is the system that I will defend, and the American people understand that."

The President also has a right to face his accuser, because his accuser also is not above the law, and legally, has no right to anonymity as Democrats would have us believe.

So how did Rosen, a journalist who was spied on by the Obama administration, react? By reporting how Pelosi grew "testy" to his question, which happens to be perfectly reasonable, adding that the Speaker "attacked" him and resorted to "personal disparagement" to his question.

Perhaps she wasn't ready for a question from the press who wasn't a leftist shill for the DNC.

Twitter was abuzz with responses to Pelosi's angst. One person tweeted:
"Knee-jerk reaction Alinsky RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."
Another posted:
"I watched as it happened today and had to pick my jaw up off the floor. She was way out of line. There was nothing at all wrong with your question or how you asked."
And another:
"She not used to having real journalist ask her questions."
If you noticed, Pelosi never answered Rosen's question.

Some "journalists" want Warren to have free pass

Some so-called journalists are advising their colleagues against questioning veracity-challenged Elizabeth "Throwing Bull" Warren about Medicare for All and how she plans to have us pay for it.

Warren, who claims to be only 70, is one of the top contenders for the Democratic nomination but may eventually vie for a spot on "Dancing With the Stars" if the presidential gig doesn't pan out.

For Warren and her fellow leftists, government cannot be big enough. She is staunchly behind a total government takeover of the healthcare industry, which of course would be like putting early Ebenezer Scrooge in charge of Welfare benefits.

The 1/1024th Native American refuses to acknowledge that her plan would mean a huge increase in taxes among the middle class, and this continues to prompt actual reporters to ask her to clarify the plan, which she is loath to do. All she keeps saying is that "overall costs" would go down.

At least Sen. "Brooklyn" Bernie Sanders (I-VT) admitted that the same plan, which he was first to propose and which Warren stole from him, would indeed raise taxes up the wazoo, while also claiming that overall costs would go down. Bernie proposed a 4 percent tax increase on families making more than $29,000 a year, which is peanuts and would burden the poor even more drastically than is currently the case.

In the Democratic debates when the moderator asked gay South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg after Warren asked him to explain his use of the word "evasive," Buttigieg said, "Well, we heard it tonight. A yes or no question that didn't get a yes or no answer."

Buttigieg added: “This is why people here in the Midwest are so frustrated with Washington in general and Capitol Hill in particular. Your signature, senator, is to have a plan for everything, except this. No plan has been laid out to explain how a multi-trillion-dollar hole in this Medicare for All plan that Sen. Warren is putting forward is supposed to get filled in.”

The left loves to do this--think Nancy Pelosi and Obamacare when she said that we have to pass the bill so we can know what's in it.

Washington Post columnist Margaret Sullivan, the former public editor of the New York Times, said after the debate that asking Warren about how she’d finance Medicare for All was “doing President Trump’s work for him.”

Because the truth actually does do President Trump's work for him.

But let's pretend that the press is actually on the side of Trump, not the Democrats. We can refer to the claim as "gas lighting."

New York University professor Jay Rosen, who teaches journalism [but is not related to James Rosen, a journalist who was labeled a "conspirator" by the Obama administration], chimed in on Twitter on Wednesday, saying: “The ‘make Elizabeth Warren say she would raise taxes on the middle class’ question should be a credibility killer. For the journalists who keep asking it.”

Actually, it seems the opposite is true--most people believe the media is in the pocket of the left and pursuing an answer to a question that would directly affect all taxpayers are not only fair, but crucial in understanding where candidates stand on important issues.

Huffington Post leftist-editor-in-chief Lydia Polgreen, another former New York Times hack, also criticized the notion of unbiased journalism.

“’Will you raise middle class taxes’ is a lazy, gotcha question based on untested premises,” she lied. “A fairer question would be to ask candidates to explain how they’d convince voters of the tax tradeoff’s benefits.”

Medicare for All is projected to cost $32.6 trillion over 10 years. That translates to more dollars than all the paper on Earth to print that amount.

Blowback over Covington Catholic 'Blackface' accusation begins

New York's Daily News' ironically used to be known as New York's picture newspaper. Maybe that's because a large number of those who buy it only look at the pictures. But that's the irony--the pictures [as in video] at the Lincoln Memorial of Native American serial liar, Nathan Phillips, clearly show that the boys from Covington Catholic High School, in Kentucky, did not harass him, but it was the other way around. Yet that didn't stop the rag from trying to go after the school in order to somehow justify their lies about the incident.

After the left-leaning media-led smear campaign against the Covington High School boys fell apart with video evidence clearly demonstrating that not only did the boys not target an African American group with "racial epithets" and "harass" Phillips, (it was the boys were actually the ones who were pelted with insults and harassed) the left-wing New York Daily News published another hit-piece on the Catholic school on Monday.

The piece, shamelessly titled "SEE IT: Covington Catholic High students in blackface at past basketball game," begins by saying snarkily, "This won’t help Kentucky student Nick Sandmann’s case." It then shamelessly "reports":
A photo said to be featuring Covington Catholic High School students clad in blackface during a 2015 basketball game made the rounds on Twitter Monday morning amid last week’s Indigenous Peoples March controversy.
The photo depicts several white students, some in blackface, shouting at an opposing black player.
While the photo’s origins couldn't be verified, the official Covington Catholic High School YouTube account published a video last January boasting its basketball school spirit, and several clips, including one from 2012, showcase attendees chanting in black face, a mockery of the opposing players. The school took down the video later on Monday.
It's obvious to anyone with a high school education, or who at least attended one high school or college basketball game, that the idiots at the Daily News have no idea what they're talking about.

Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire summed up the arguments succinctly in an op-ed:
Anyone with, say, a third of a functioning brain rattling around in their skulls will immediately understand the scene. The kids are all wearing black because the fans of sports teams often will come to games all in the same color. Oftentimes fans will wear black as part of a "blackout." Other times they'll white as part of a "whiteout." Or sometimes they'll wear blue or red or any other color. This is standard operating procedure in American sports, especially scholastic sports.
Why are they screaming at the opposing player? Well, because he is the opposing player and that's what the home fans do and have done in every basketball game or football game ever played anywhere on Earth. Why is the opposing player black? Well, because that just happens to be his race. If he was white, they would be just as unwelcoming. This is part of the pageantry of sports.
The blowback to the leftist Daily News' hit-piece has gone online, including a post from Robert Barnes, the lawyer who repeatedly called out journalists for libeling the Covington teens and is threatening lawsuits on their behalf against any who fail to adequately retract their false reports.

"Fake news. This is a blackout event, not people in blackface. Hence, notice how the kids entire bodies are in black paint or black clothing. I guess NYDN thought it wouldn’t be fair if they didn’t get sued too," wrote Barnes in response to the Daily News tweet.

Let's hope Barnes is serious and drags their butts to court.

"Many independent journalists who lean left agree the kids were falsely attacked, led by one of the best grassroots journalists in the country on these kind of issues," he wrote Tuesday after a series of posts directed as specific reporters. "No media member who refuses to retract at this juncture has any credible defense to libeling these kids."

The problem is that the First Amendment generally protects journalists from being sued. But this is not journalism--that seems to have died a long time ago, even before Trump became president.

The Comedy News Network sues Pres. Trump and top aides

Here's a laugh, CNN filed suit against the Trump administration Tuesday after the White House yanked Jim Acosta's "hard pass" credential after he refused to give up the microphone after the President told him to over and over. The mistake the White House made was to say the reason for suspending Acosta's credentials was because he grabbed a female intern.

I believe the "grab" was pretty much incidental--I could be wrong--but the real issue has much more to do with Acosta's total disrespect for the office of the president and his lack of decorum in the White House. That should have been the focus, not something that can be considered even remotely debatable.

CNN's suit was filed by former George W. Bush's lawyer, Ted Olson, and it demands Acosta's White House credentials be returned.

Let's be clear: Jim Acosta does not have the right to be in the White House; it's a privilege. CNN is trying to say that Trump is banning him because he doesn't like what Acosta says or how he asks questions, but c'mon--April Ryan is Jim Acosta in drag. Trump likes her and she likes him as much as cats likes dogs and he hasn't taken away her "hard pass."

The problem with Acosta is that he's always the story, instead of the actual story.

CNN's claim is that revoking Acosta's press pass violates the constitutional rights to freedom of the press and due process.

That's nonsense. CNN can send in another reporter to cover the White House. If CNN was correct, they would never be allowed to fire any of their own staff, which in Acosta's case, would be a wonderful idea.

CNN's Jim Acosta has WH press credential confiscated

The United States Secret Service confiscated the Comedy News Network's Jim "Where's My Mirror" Acosta's "hard pass" late Wednesday night after the self-aggrandizing "journalist" pulled yet another obnoxious display of impropriety during a White House press briefing. Acosta is clearly more concerned with calling attention to himself, and making Jim Acosta the story, than actually reporting the news.

"I've just been denied entrance to the WH. Secret Service just informed me I cannot enter the WH grounds for my 8 pm hit," the comedy reporter tweeted comedically.

"President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his Administration," Sarah Sanders tweeted. "We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern."

"Contrary to CNN's assertions there is no greater demonstration of the President's support of a free press than the event he held today," Sanders added. "Only they would attack the President for not supporting a free press in the midst of him taking 68 questions from 35 different reporters."

And of course, Sanders is correct.

But Acosta even denied he laid his hands on the intern and video proof that he did shows he lied. Look at about the 1:26 minute mark and see exactly that.

Video doesn't lie and Acosta does. It's a good thing they took his "hard pass." All the White House needs to do at this point is demand Acosta no longer represent them and have them replace him with an actual journalist who will ask tough questions and keep his opinions to him or herself. Their opinions are not journalism.

Ben Rhodes: idiot savant, or just an idiot?

According to the self-proclaimed geniuses on the left, everything that's wrong with the world can somehow be blamed on President Trump, no matter how tortured the connection.

Former failed novelist and Obama's failed Deputy National Security Advisor [see: ISIS, Iran, Al Qaeda, Syria and China] Ben Rhodes, is claiming that President Trump's rhetoric meant that "journalists everywhere are less safe."

Ben's brother, David, is president of CBS News.

Rhodes made that silly comment Tuesday on Morons Speaking Nothing But Communism's [MSNBC] "Morning Joe." When asked/prompted about Trump's response to the likely killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, Rhodes bloviated: "What you have to realize is, there's nobody else who can play the role of the United States to hold people like this to account. We are the world's oldest and most significant democracy [actually, we're a republic]. And if we're not doing this, if we're not setting up for this, there's not somebody else who will do that."

But Rhodes wasn't finished objurgating. "The consequences of that are journalists everywhere are less safe. And let's face it, we have a president of the United States who says journalists are the enemy of the state. So values like freedom of speech and dissent suddenly are very endangered around the world. [How he makes that giant leap remains a mystery.] And that's a trend line that I think is getting worse. This vacuum [not unlike the one between his ears] of any advocacy for any democratic values is putting people at risk and there's nobody else who will fill that vacuum if the President of the United States and the United States of America is not doing that." [What? Now there are two countries with similar names?]

Blah, blah, blah.

Blaming Trump for all the ills of society is not only a lie, but it's going to come back and bite Democrats on their collective . . . collective.

Taking Rhodes seriously as someone who knows what he's talking about is a mistake. In a blistering article about Rhodes' lack of experience while in the Obama administration, it's clear that he was just a political operative, not a real pundit, and certainly not a journalist.

It sounds like a cliché to say that it's imperative for all conservatives to vote in the impending midterm elections. If we lose the House and/or Senate, we will have only ourselves to blame. This is really a time when every vote counts. So vote, and vote often--just kidding about the last part.

Comrade de Blasio censors the media with his NYPD 'muscle'

Comrade de Blasio
photo: Brigitte Stelzer
New York City Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio had two of his bodyguards physically remove a credentialed Post reporter who had the audacity of hope to be able to ask the mayor a question on Sunday. Where did this reporter think he was? The United States of America?

The communist de Blasio was at the annual Dominican Day Parade in Manhattan when the reporter simply sought his reaction to the Post's front page story about the myriad meetings de Blasio's had with lobbyists.

The question ironically also came after the mayor appeared on national TV to say, "I believe in a free, strong media with diverse views--I'll defend it with all I've got."

Apparently, he ain't got squat because two hours after he cut a ribbon to kick off the parade and posing for photos near West 37th Street and Sixth Avenue, Kevin Sheehan asked him to comment on the "CITY FOR SALE" Page One story.

But rather than answering the question or declining to say anything, the scumbag mayor stood by and watched as two of his NYPD security detail approached the reporter, who was wearing an NYPD issued press pass around his neck. One cop grabbed him by the shoulder and began leading him away from comrade de Blasio.
photo: Brigitte Stelzer
"Kevin, you have to leave. You can't be here," the plainclothes cop said as both bodyguards led the reporter a half-block away. NYPD public-[mis]information officer Brian Magoolaghan told him, "Come on, Kevin. No stunts today.?

So Kevin Sheehan is a stuntman reporter.

The mayor's office held 136 meetings with lobbyists from January to March of this year alone, but they initially didn't want to discuss this.

Earlier in the day, de Blasio appeared on the Communist News Network's [aka CNN] "Reliable Sources" and discussed his Guardian interview last week. He told the liberal British birdcage liner his dislike for The Post's parent company, News Corp, and its founder Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch.

The host and bald stooge Brian Stelter pressed the leftist mayor about his criticism of The Post, which de Blasio referred to as a "right-wing rag."

"Why do you feel it's your role to be calling out a newspaper because you don't like the content?" Stelter asked, his head shining in the lights.

"Because I think it's not happening enough.  . . . It's not happening the way I think it should," the hater of the First Amendment answered.

The answer he gave to Stelter's question didn't bother to challenge the premise that de Blasio is calling out the paper because he doesn't like the content. This is because the mayor of New York City is too stupid to pick up on the insinuation.

De Blasio's press secretary said in an email about questions: "The Department takes appropriate and necessary measures to protect dignitaries, including [commie dictators like] the Mayor of the City of New York."

Anti-Trump fake newsers call victories 'losses'

President Trump supported a number of candidates in a special congressional election in the primaries and in Ohio's special election, and they all won except in races too close to call. Nevertheless, he could create world peace and the media would complain about all the military folks that are jobless because of him.

"Journalists" got herniated fingers as they worked their butts off spinning a pro-leftist narrative before the voting. CNN "dummy" Don Lemon said Republicans are "people who will lie, steal, and cheat, lie to their mother, lie to themselves about what's right of this country, about truth and facts."

Lemon must get his talking points from Rosie O'Donnell, an idiot who claims Trump pays people to attend his rallies. But imagine a so-called news anchor speaking that way about half the country. No wonder CNN has become a laughable losing outlet that lacks all sense of objectivity.

Even before the votes were counted, journalists talked about a "blue wave" and hawked the idea that these elections and the midterms are "a major sign of trouble for Republicans."

Politico , that leftist garbage heap, wrote of "Democrats surging." They also said the same about Hillary Clinton in 2016--that President Hillary Clinton would be occupying the Oval Office in January 2017. Strike two for those dumpster divers.

CNBC's John Harwood tweeted his thought that winning in these elections was a sign the GOP was going to lose in November. But since the GOP won, he has been quiet about his predictions.

The media also underreported and distorted the fact that midterm elections are typically bad for the party in the White House. But in 2014 NPR explained "History tells us that midterm elections are bad--sometimes very bad--for the party that controls the White House." This way, if the left would have won, the message would have been: "See, the midterms are a referendum on the Trump administration."

Until news outlets stop suppressing stories that don't fit their agendas, [such as Islamic terrorism, Democrats and immigrants who commit crimes], or tell the complete story [such as the fact that all criminals are separated from the parent(s) who commits crimes, not just illegal immigrants], people will turn to other sources for their information.

And finally, journalists need to return to the roots of journalism: neutrality.

'The Jim Acosta Story', starring Jim Acosta as Jim Acosta

CNN's Jim Acosta appeared on Stephen Colbert and told the story about how he doesn't want to be "the story."

So why did he appear on Stephen Colbert's show?

Because Jim Acosta is deeply committed to, and in love with . . .  Jim Acosta. And he wants to and has to be the story.

The opinion reporter [as opposed to actual journalist] is giving the profession of journalism a kick in the family jewels with the way he grandstands against White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders and the president.

It might be wise of the White House to cut out the daily press briefings and limit them in number. But I don't see that happening, however, because Trump tends to be very transparent and I suspect he secretly loves the media because they serve as a foil and distraction for him.

People who want real unbiased news no longer trust the media and the effects are obvious as more and more newspapers are going out of business, or letting go a large part of their staffing, or going online exclusively.

Hopefully, Jim Acosta will no longer be relevant and will go out of business.
