F-35B Lightning II fighter jet crashes near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar

An F-35B Lightning II fighter jet crashed Friday at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near San Diego, setting off a major emergency response. The pilot safely ejected  [aka "punched out"] from the aircraft and was later rescued.

The crash happened on July 31 and involved an F-35B Lightning II, according to 1st Lt. Blake Starbuck, a spokesperson for the air station.

Starbuck said the pilot was "en route to a medical facility" after ejecting from the jet. The base later announced that the pilot was in stable condition and was being evaluated and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Starbuck described the incident as a "mishap" and said additional details would be released as they become available.

Video from local television stations showed thick smoke rising from the crash site as firefighters and emergency crews rushed to respond.

The accident is the latest in a series of F-35 crashes. In March, a U.S. Air Force F-35A crashed in Nevada. The pilot ejected safely and suffered only minor injuries. In July 2025, another pilot escaped safely after an F-35 crashed near Naval Air Station Lemoore in central California.

The F-35 is widely considered the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world. The Pentagon operates three versions of the jet: the F-35A for the Air Force, the F-35B for the Marine Corps, and the F-35C for the Navy. The F-35B is unique because it can take off and land vertically, much like a helicopter.

Built by Lockheed Martin, the F-35 is also the most expensive weapons program in U.S. military history. According to a 2023 Government Accountability Office report, the Pentagon is expected to spend about $1.7 trillion on nearly 2,500 F-35 aircraft over the life of the program. The project has faced years of maintenance problems, delays, and rising costs.

Concerns over the program's price tag have been raised for years, including by President Donald Trump. Before taking office for his first term, Trump called the F-35 program "out of control" and promised to reduce its costs. Despite those concerns, the program's overall price has continued to increase.

Lockheed Martin's press office did not immediately respond Friday to a request for comment.

Democrats Scramble to Replace One Embarrassing Candidate With Guy Who Had Kids With His Second Cousin

[COUSIN] BANGOR, ME — The Democratic Party, ever the champions of normalcy and family values, has once again demonstrated its unmatched talent for candidate selection.

After Graham "HH" Platner withdrew from the Maine Senate race amid a rape allegation (which he called "categorically false"), party leaders tapped Troy Jackson as their shiny new replacement. A Maine Wire report soon revealed that Jackson and his high school sweetheart share the same great-grandparents, and the couple has two adult sons together.

But at least they aren't siblings like Ilhan Omar.

Jackson, a former state senator and failed gubernatorial candidate, was formally nominated at the Maine Democratic Party's U.S. Senate Nominating Convention earlier this month. The report noted that such relationships are not uncommon in northern rural Maine and remain perfectly legal, a detail that only heightened the internet's reaction.

Conservatives wasted no time celebrating the party's latest personnel decision."Can’t wait for Democrats to defend cousin marriage!," Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), posted on X.

"If you thought Platner was a freak - meet Troy Jackson," former White House press secretary Sean Spicer posted on X.

"WTF?! Maine’s new Democratic Senate candidate Troy Jackson is in a ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP with his COUSIN, and has TWO CHILDREN with her. THIS is the guy the Democrat Party swapped Graham Platner out for," conservative influencer Nick Sortor posted on X.

I have no idea WTF stands for but it sounds bad.

"The Democrats are having a REALLY tough time finding candidates who aren’t total freaks," Sortor added.

"Troy Jackson's 'partner' is his second cousin, according to genealogical records found in Maine. Which means his kids are also his third cousins. Who said Democrats were anti-family?" Drew Berkemeyer, a writer for the Daily Wire, posted on X.

In a post on X, Independent Women's Forum Senior Policy Analyst Inez Stepman wrote, "Second cousins seem like relevant information here. But it is funny that Dems keep selecting candidates who fit the vicious stereotypes they hold about rural or working-class people: beats women, hooks up with cousin, etc."

"It's truly hysterical how Democrats can't seem to find one normal dude to run for office," conservative commentator Greg Price posted on X. The Republican account on X also posted, "Wellness check on Maine Democrats."

The Jackson campaign responded by changing the subject, telling Fox News Digital: "Susan Collins will do anything to distract from the fact that she votes with Trump 96% of the time and has sold out working people in Maine. Personal attacks on Troy's family are shameful and desperate."

Jackson will face incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins on Nov. 3 as Republicans work to protect their 53-47 Senate majority. In the meantime, Maine Democrats continue their proud tradition of proving that when it comes to finding candidates free of personal baggage, they remain the gold standard of political incompetence.

State takes kids away from Christian couple who refuse to agree their daughter is a boy

A Christian mom and her husband are fighting back in court after Oregon’s Department of Human Services determined that they caused “mental injury” to her daughter by refusing to “affirm” her transgender identity.

“It has destroyed our lives,” Nicole Calaway, the mother of two daughters who are now estranged because they both claim a transgender identity, told the Daily Signal in an interview Sunday. Child Protective Services took custody of her then-15-year-old daughter, K.A., on July 18, 2024, one day after Calaway and K.A. terminated the services of K.A.’s therapist, Jennifer Forster.

According to court documents, Forster filed the complaint that resulted in K.A.’s removal. ODHS notified the Calaways that the agency considered them “responsible for the mental injury” of K.A. “Your adverse reactions to [K.A.] expressing their gender identity have caused serious harm to [K.A.’s] psychological functioning,” ODHS caseworker Rachel Woods wrote in a Sept. 13 letter.

Calaway’s older daughter had already moved out. “I was so distraught, it felt like I was gutted,” the mother said. “Both my daughters were gone. I took myself to the hospital and admitted myself for a week because I couldn’t handle it.”

The mother remains estranged from her daughters, and Oregon has ordered her not to contact K.A. Yet the state’s findings haven’t just affected her maternal relationship. A Black Mark on the Parents’ RecordsThe “mental injury” finding constitutes a child abuse ruling on Calaway’s permanent record, and on the record of her husband, David.

But seriously, what are the chances that both female siblings would believe they were males? That only seems to happen in the Hollywood crowd.

The stigma of a state agency finding the two guilty of child abuse has followed them across state lines after their move to Florida in July 2025. “In Oregon, if they were to do a background check, I could have lost my notary license, I still cannot, even here, volunteer with the church, anything to do with children,” the mother told the Daily Signal.

The stigma may be even worse for her husband. Months after the two moved to Florida, the disgusting Oregon Department of Human Services determined that David Calaway had “exhibited a pattern of inappropriate grooming behaviors to include making inappropriate sexual comments while [K.A.] was in his care.”

The husband vehemently contested the claims, saying he is innocent and was not given an opportunity to appeal. While the office made the determination in December 2025, he did not receive notification of it until May 12.

The husband told the Daily Signal that his employment has yet to be affected by the matter, but he highlighted this message from the notice: “This abuse finding could have an impact on David Calaway’s ability to volunteer or to obtain or retain a professional license or certain types of employment.”

“If I was being accused of sexual abuse, wouldn’t there be a police record? Wouldn’t I be arrested? Wouldn’t I be in jail?” the husband asked. [I believe him.]

“It’s like we’re guilty until proven innocent,” the mother said. The couple filed a lawsuit earlier this month, accusing the therapist, Forster, and ODHS agents of violating their rights under the First and Fourteenth Amendments

The lawsuit states that ODHS had previously screened out one child abuse referral against the Calaways and found a second referral unfounded, both in 2023. K.A.’s father, Keith Allison, who sought custody of the daughter, claimed that K.A. was in immediate danger, but the court denied two of his motions in 2024.

“On essentially the same facts later used to remove K.A., a neutral court had twice declined to find immediate danger, and ODHS had already once found the mental-injury allegation unfounded,” the lawsuit states.

On May 23, 2024, K.A. left school with a friend and did not notify her mother. She told school staff that she did not feel safe at home because her mother had showed her videos opposing transgender ideology the night before. School staff insisted she be taken to a stabilization center. Later, K.A. apologized to her mother and thanked her for helping her “acknowledge reality.”

On July 17, Nicole Calaway and K.A. spoke on the phone with Forster, and terminated her services. Both K.A. and her mother accused the therapist of hiding information from the mother. According to the lawsuit, ODHS caseworker Rachel Woods recommended Forster call the Child Protective Services hotline shortly after this call. Forster called the hotline the next morning, and made many claims the lawsuit describes as false.

The therapist said that the mother had “presented as aggressive and angry,” and that she said K.A. “would no longer have support.”

Forster would also write that the mother terminated counseling out of a “desire to manage client’s mental health without counseling support.” The lawsuit claims these statements were false but gave ODHS a “fabricated appearance of urgency.”

On July 18, ODHS and law enforcement officers removed K.A. from the Calaways’ home for “mental injury.”According to the lawsuit, ODHS concluded that Nicole Calaway’s decision to show her daughter videos presenting arguments against transgender ideology harmed her daughter’s psychological functioning. The Calaways dispute this, saying the agency treated disagreement with the ideology as child abuse. “When did the truth become mental injury?” David Calaway asked in an interview with the Daily Signal.

The Calaways appealed the decisions, but ODHS stood by the finding. In November 2024, ODHS voluntarily withdrew the dependency petition, by which the department had removed K.A. from the Calaways’ home. While the department had dismissed the underlying claim, it nonetheless maintained the child-abuse findings against the Calaways. The plaintiffs argue the dismissal undercuts the state’s justification for removing K.A. from their home.

“It began with them accusing us because we’re conservative Christians, and we don’t affirm her transgender ideology, that we provided hours of lectures to teach her daughter that this ideology isn’t right for her, and isn’t healthy for her, and they come and remove her from the home, and that was their reasoning,” the husband told the Daily Signal.

According to the lawsuit, the Calaways refused to “affirm” K.A. as “transgender” due to their conservative Christian convictions that “a person cannot change from one sex to the other” and their view “that so-called ‘gender-affirming care,’ including ‘social transition,is harmful to children and teens and has never been proven safe or effective.”

The lawsuit cites the United Kingdom’s Kass Review and the Department of Health and Human Services’ study finding little evidence for positive impacts from sex-rejecting procedures. The lawsuit accuses Forster of engaging in therapeutic malpractice because she “knew, or in the exercise of reasonable professional care should have known, that so-called ‘gender-affirming care,’ including social transition, is not a proven, safe, or effective treatment for an adolescent girl and is psychologically harmful.”

Nicole Calaway told the Daily Signal she presented multiple videos to her daughter, including testimonials of detransitioners, “because I wanted her to make an informed decision. I did not want her to ruin her body. I still do not want her to ruin her body.”

The Calaways’ lawsuit cited 42 U.S.C. § 1983, claiming deprivation of rights under the color of law. They claim that the therapist and ODHS official conspired to use the power of the state to interfere with Nicole Calaway’s right to direct the care, custody, and upbringing of her child under the Fourteenth Amendment. The Calaways also claim defendants violated their rights to free speech and religious freedom under the First Amendment by attempting to force them to support transgender ideology. The lawsuit also claims that ODHS directed school officials to deny Nicole Calaway access to her daughter’s educational records, even though no court order restricted her parental rights.

The Christian couple seeks compensatory and general damages of at least $5 million, special and economic damages, punitive damages, a declaratory judgment in their favor, attorney’s fees, and an injunction removing them from a child abuse registry or a sex offender registry.

This is yet another shining example of the progressive orthodoxy machine grinding up families that dare to notice biological reality. Oregon bureaucrats decided that a Christian couple’s refusal to play along with their daughter’s sudden identity crisis counts as “mental injury.” Because nothing says child protection like yanking a teenager out of her home the day after mom and daughter fire a therapist who was apparently more interested in ideology than actual therapy.

The Calaways get branded as abusers on their permanent records for the high crime of showing videos that challenge the prevailing dogma. Dad even gets hit with a late-breaking “grooming” accusation that somehow never involved the police, an arrest, or a jail cell. Funny how that works. Meanwhile the state shrugs off earlier findings that the claims were unfounded and a court that twice refused to declare the kid in immediate danger.

When the dependency petition gets quietly withdrawn months later, the abuse findings stay on the books like a scarlet letter that follows the couple all the way to Florida. Mom can’t volunteer at church. Dad wonders out loud if actual sexual abuse accusations usually skip the part where you get arrested.

“It’s like we’re guilty until proven innocent,” she said, which is a pretty accurate description of how these systems operate once the sacred “gender identity” trigger gets pulled. The couple’s lawsuit lays it out plainly: they wouldn’t affirm something their faith and common sense both reject, and the state treated that as grounds to seize their child. They pointed to the Kass Review and the HHS study that found precious little evidence that “gender-affirming care” helps anyone, let alone adolescent girls.

The therapist is accused of malpractice for pushing the opposite.

Mom simply wanted her daughter to see the detransitioner stories before making irreversible decisions about her own body. This is what happens when the administrative state decides that disagreement with transgender ideology is itself a form of child abuse. Parental rights, free speech, and religious liberty get treated as optional suggestions once the orthodoxy is challenged.

The Calaways are asking for damages and to have their names scrubbed from the registries. In a saner country that wouldn’t even be a close call.

Lawmakers Raise Alarm Over Indiana University Program

Universities are supposed to teach our kids, that was the plan. Instead, a flagship Indiana school spent a decade training foreign groups while ignoring ties to terror.

Republican State Rep. Andrew Ireland says the Indiana University Muslim Philanthropy Initiative partnered with an organization linked to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. This is not a rumor, it's a fact revealed in a Breitbart interview

The school spent taxpayer money on this while local families struggle. According to reports, Breitbart News Daily was informed that the project sought to instruct individuals, mostly abroad, on managing fundraising and directing NGOs and nonprofits focused on Muslim issues and causes.

That sounds nice on paper, but the reality is far darker.

Ireland said that the organization they collaborated with serves as “actually a front for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.” He pointed out that Washington Free Beacon broke the story when the U.S. The university hosted programs with them for years.

Ireland and other patriots in the Indiana General Assembly stepped up. They sent a letter to the school to find out what was happening. The school did not seem to know until they were caught. This was a massive waste of public funds.

The initiative was built to serve the world, not Indiana. Ireland called it a “sore thumb for the university.”

In 2022, the same group had to apologize for inviting a man who provided material aid to Palestinian terror organizations. That was a “real hiccup,” Ireland said. But they kept going. Now, the school has shut down the Muslim Philanthropy Initiative completely. It was a decade of “gallivanting around the world” instead of focusing on Hoosiers.

State universities should serve the people who pay their bills, not radical groups overseas. Ireland calls this the “woke mind virus.” He says universities today serve anyone and everyone except the next generation of Indiana families. They are ignoring the need for jobs and gainful employment right here at home.

James Talarico seen on camera driving rental truck in "Real Texas" campaign ad

Flip the 'a' and the 'e' in Texas

In the latest chapter of Democrats trying to cosplay as salt-of-the-earth Texans, a campaign ad peddling James Talarico as some macho working-class badass shows the Democrat gripping the wheel of a Dodge Ram 1500 that, according to a report published Wednesday, traces straight back to an Enterprise rental lot.

Digital news outlet Semafor’s David Weigel dug up the detail. The plate is right there on screen for anyone with eyes.

Talarico’s everyday ride is a Chevy Colorado. That midsize pickup has starred in his other ads and the usual glowing profiles. The Ram 1500 he commandeers for this particular macho adjacent performance is a full-size model. Too bad he wasn't smoking a stogie as he sat behind the wheel.

The ad, titled “Waking Up,” opens with Texans crawling out of bed before the roosters and casts Talarico as one of the boys.

He talks about being raised by a single mother “guided by faith,” his years as a teacher, and his work in the state House to lower drug costs and cut property taxes. [Why do we glorify single mothers as if that's a badge of honor?]

“I’ll take on corruption and make this economy work for working people again,” Talarico says in the ad, while not saying that he'll take on dishonesty.

Weigel asked whether the candidate’s car was in the shop. He said he did not hear back.

Politico’s Adam Wren posted a photo of what he identified as “The Talarico Colorado,” confirming the candidate’s usual vehicle. He may have previously owned a Mazda MX-5 Miata, but there is no proof of that. [Grok the "gayest car.]

One widely followed account wrote that Talarico “rented a truck from Enterprise for his ad to look like a real Texan.” A Texas political action committee asked why the candidate was “dodging questions about the rental truck.”Talarico beat Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the March primary to win the Democrat nomination. He now leads Republican Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race. A Texas Public Opinion Research survey put him ahead 45 percent to 40 percent, with a nine-point edge among non-college-educated voters. Critics have flagged a gap between how he presents himself and how he votes.

Iranian crowd attempts to stop the hanging of 2 men to no avail

Just before dawn on Tuesday, hundreds of Iranians gathered in Isfahan in the hope of preventing the hanging of two young men.

The security forces instead dispersed the crowd with violence and publicly executed 25-year-old Abolfazl Sepahi Badjani and 28-year-old Amirhossein Safari Hosseinabadi. Both men had been convicted on charges arising from clashes which the Iranian authorities claim left four security officers dead.

Human rights groups state that the sentences followed proceedings marked by allegations of torture, forced confessions and closed-door trials. These executions form part of the regime’s response to the nationwide uprising that began in late December, after a currency collapse, soaring inflation and worsening living conditions sparked protests across Iran.

The forces of the Iranian regime answered with a sweeping crackdown that included internet shutdowns, mass arrests and the widespread use of lethal force.

The hangings, which reportedly took place at 3:40 a.m. local time and coincided with the morning call to prayer, proceeded despite last-minute appeals from United Nations experts, international human rights organizations and the State Department.

The Islamic regime are barbarians and need to be removed with prejudice.

Bibi vows to visit the Big Apple in spite of the worm who said he'd arrest him

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear Tuesday that he has no intention of letting New York City's newest progressive jihadi and failed rapper, decide where he can and cannot travel. Despite Mayor comrade Zohran Mamdani's repeated demands that he be arrested if he sets foot in the city, Netanyahu announced he will still attend the United Nations General Assembly in September.

"I'm going to New York," Netanyahu said during an interview with "Hannity" after meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House. Evidently, Bibi, a former IDF's Sayeret Matkal elite unit, is unafraid of the Uganda soy boy.

Apparently, being threatened with arrest by an anti-Semitic mayor who is too ignorant to realize that he cannot legally arrest him, ranked somewhere below "Tuesday" on Netanyahu's list of concerns.

"I'm going to speak the truth in front of this hate-spewing elected official who's pitting one group of New Yorkers against the others. He's turning them against New York Jews," Bibi said.

Netanyahu accused the Marx fan of reviving a political tradition that civilized nations were supposed to have buried generations ago, warning that the mayor's rhetoric deliberately fuels hostility toward Jewish residents, but everyone knows what Mamdani thinks of Jews.

Mamdani has spent years attacking Netanyahu over Israel's military operations in Gaza and Lebanon

The mayor's wife, Rama Sawaf Duwaji, even "liked" a post from The Slow Factory that showed photos of the border breach on October 7, 2023. On the next day, the witch liked posts from People's Forum NYC, among others supporting "Palestine resistance" including "From the river to the sea" messaging. Zohran is married to this harpy.

Most recently, Mamdani labeled the Israeli leader a "war criminal" and "the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people." He had nothing bad to say about the Hamassholes who initiated the attack on innocent Israelis.

Although Mamdani, a POS, admitted he has no legal authority to arrest Netanyahu under the International Criminal Court warrant, that minor inconvenience did not stop him from encouraging federal officials to do it instead. Apparently, in progressive politics, legal authority is now viewed as more of a suggestion than a requirement.

Netanyahu responded by comparing the atmosphere to one of history's darker chapters.

"What are we in the 1930s? What is this? So much hate, so many lies," Netanyahu told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

The prime minister also blasted the International Criminal Court, calling it a "corrupt, evil organization" that seems remarkably selective about who qualifies as a war criminal. Think about that fact.

"They don't charge Hezbollah… Supposedly, they charged Hamas, but a guy who's already dead. So no, it's fake. It's one big fake," he told Fox News.

Netanyahu warned that once unelected international bureaucrats begin inventing crimes for democratic leaders defending their countries from terrorists, it is only a matter of time before America lands in the crosshairs.

"They could say that the president of the United States is a war criminal, that American soldiers, valiantly fighting next to us, shoulder to shoulder, against the tyranny in Tehran, that they're war criminals."

Meanwhile, former New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, another leftist dolt, joined Mamdani's campaign to arrest Netanyahu, proving that nothing unites New York's progressive establishment quite like treating Israel's elected leader more harshly than the terrorist organizations trying to destroy his country.

Netanyahu also praised his latest meeting with President Trump, dismissing the media's endless hopes of finding daylight between Washington and Jerusalem.

"I always hate to disappoint our would-be critics who are trying to find cracks in our alliance. And what they find, like today, is a wall of granite," he said.

The Israeli leader emphasized that both governments remain committed to preventing Iran's radical regime from obtaining nuclear weapons. This is to the benefit of not only Israel and the United States, it's a benefit to the entire free world.

"We don't want to see this fanatic regime in Tehran have nuclear weapons to threaten every American and to threaten the peace of the world, and to threaten the existence of Israel," Bibi continued. "So we have a common goal, and it's gonna be achieved, either through diplomatic means or other means."

For now, Netanyahu appears unconcerned that New York's mayor wants him arrested. After spending years dealing with Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran's ayatollahs, and the United Nations, surviving a press conference in Manhattan may end up being the easiest challenge on his itinerary.

Mamdani needs to be thrown out of office, either by vote or governor Hochul's intervention. But the chances of the latter happening are slim to none.

Wisconsin brewery that dangled free beer for Trump's death just got its alcohol permit yanked, and the owner is sobbing into his progressive pint glass

Leftist owner of the Minocqua Brewing Co., Kirk Bangstad vows to fight 'tooth and nail' after the Department of Revenue ordered the establishment's license pulled by Aug 4.

In a development that will shock absolutely no one who has watched left-wing activism turn businesses into political therapy sessions, a Wisconsin brewery famous for its anti-Trump social media tantrums has finally had its permit to operate revoked by state officials who apparently decided enough was enough.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Monday that liberal activist and brewery owner Kirk Bangstad is "vowing to fight ‘tooth and nail’ [and he might even pull hair] after receiving a letter from the state's Department of Revenue revoking Minocqua Brewing Co.'s permit to operate in Wisconsin, according to a July 26 newsletter sent to his supporters."

"As you can imagine, I’m not taking this lying down," Bangstad wrote in a Substack post on Sunday. "We’re going to fight the state of Wisconsin tooth and nail, and once again, they’ll have to pry me out of my taprooms before I stop selling beer to thirsty progressives who come to visit us."

Not surprisingly, he asked readers to donate to his legal defense fund, writing, "As usual, fighting to keep my business alive means I have to pay lawyers, and that’s never cheap. Every time this [happens], I rack up $100K in legal bills before we even see a judge. If you can help chip in to the Minocqua Company’s legal defense fund, I’d really appreciate it."

The revocation of the beer license goes into effect on Aug. 4, the Sentinel reported. The business has locations in Madison and Minocqua, where one assumes the clientele consists mainly of people who order "resistance IPAs" and then lecture the bartender about systemic injustice.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue said, "The Wisconsin Division of Alcohol Beverages is dedicated to the fair and consistent enforcement of alcohol beverages regulations in Wisconsin. The division is required to follow and implement state law, including ensuring permit holders and licensees follow all applicable laws and regulations. The division takes appropriate actions when these laws are not followed." The spokesperson added, "We can confirm that the Department of Revenue has issued notice of a Brewer's permit revocation for two Minocqua Brewing Company locations and notice of an Alcohol Beverage Warehouse permit revocation for one location. The business has until August 4th to appeal and can operate during the appeal process. Should the business decide to appeal, the next step would be to appeal to the Secretary of the Department of Revenue, who will assign the appeal to a Department of Revenue hearing examiner for their recommendations as to proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law."

The Sentinel reported that state regulators pursued revoking Bangstad's alcohol license after authorities seized canned beer from his company in June, alleging it had been transported from Illinois without the required permits and taxes. The newspaper also reported that Bangstad criticized the proposed action as an excessive response, arguing the alleged tax violations did not warrant shutting down his business. How dare the state expect a self-styled resistance warrior to bother with boring things like following tax laws when there are orange men to rage against?

Of course, the real flavor of this operation has never been about hops.

On Jan. 22, the Minocqua Brewing Company appeared to suggest it would give free beer to patrons if Trump was killed, and while not explicitly using his name, posted on Facebook, "Free beer, all day long the day he dies."

The post continued, "Show us this post when it happens in a few months and we’ll make good on that promise." The post was updated to say, "we meant the Madison Taproom because that’s open all year, if he dies in the summer, then it’s gonna be the Minocqua Taproom."

In reply to comment on the post, the company also did not refer to Trump by name but said that the post hinted at a high-profile figure when asked whether the timeline for the deal could be moved up earlier. "Well that's up to you and your ability to act like a cia [sic] agent," the company wrote.

Following the April shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner where Trump was present, the company wrote on Facebook, "Well, we almost got #freebeerday." That should tell us something about Bangstad's intentions.

"Either a brother or sister in the Resistance needs to work on their marksmanship or he faked another assassination to get a positive news cycle," the post added. "We’ll never know. Regardless, we stand at the ready to pour free beer the day it happens."

Bangstad owns the brewery and is also the founder of the Minocqua Brewing Company SuperPAC, which "aims to remove Republican federal and state elected officials who perpetuated the election lies that caused the Insurrection of January 6, 2021, and whose downplaying of the seriousness of COVID-19 caused so many unnecessary deaths in our country," according to the brewery’s website.

In other words, a SuperPAC that exists to punish people for noticing that 2020 was messy and that lockdowns were not the unalloyed triumph progressives claimed. Bangstad declined to comment directly but made jokes about the deaths of Trump and Mitch McConnell and made disparaging remarks about Fox.

He's a real classy douchbagel, especially when it comes to asking for other people's money for his crusade against sanity.

Sleepy Joe's Preemptive Pardon of Fauci Won't Cover Any Fresh Lies to Congress, Comer Warns

House Republicans are calling for a rare dose of accountability ahead of Dr. Anthony "Tony" Fauci's Senate hearing Wednesday, a development that has left the nation's most celebrated public health celebrity scrambling to update his memoir title from "I Am Science" to "I Am Science, Your Honor.

"Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), condemns Dr. Anthony Fauci as a 'megalomaniac' and 'infamous villain' following the release of his private diary entries. Johnson alleges Fauci knowingly funded gain-of-function research, contradicted himself on COVID-19's origin, pushed experimental vaccines over early treatments, and oversaw devastating lockdown policies.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), is warning Fauci that his presidential pardon has limits ahead of the former public health official's high-profile day on Capitol Hill.

Fauci is set to testify before a GOP-led Senate panel on Wednesday, days after hundreds of pages of his COVID-19 pandemic-era diary entries were made public, revealing a man who spent more time polishing his halo than tracking where the virus came from. "We now know why President Biden gave a blanket pardon to Dr. Fauci. While obsessing about his own fame, Dr. Fauci wasn't truthful with the American people about the origins of COVID and advised schools to be closed," Comer told Fox News Digital."

Americans are still reaping the consequences of Dr. Fauci's actions.

Biden's pardon doesn't cover Dr. Fauci's testimony this week and if he continues to lie, he must be held accountable. "Fauci was among several recipients of controversial "preemptive pardons" by former President Joe Biden made during the final hours of the Democratic administration. The pardon covers any offenses from January 1, 2014, through its issue date, or anything related "to his service as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force or the White House COVID-19 Response Team, or as Chief Medical Advisor to the President.

"Because the pardon covers conduct during his government service, there will likely be some debate over whether it would protect him from liability stemming from his testimony. Legal experts on the left are already preparing arguments that "lying under oath" somehow counts as essential pandemic response work. But other House Republicans are also accusing Fauci of behaving in a way that hurts public trust in U.S. health, including the co-chairs of the House GOP Doctors' Caucus, both of whom are physicians themselves and therefore apparently qualified to notice when someone treats science like a choose-your-own-adventure book.

"Dr. Fauci, who never met a mirror he didn't love, put politics above science during the pandemic. He is primarily responsible for the resulting multi-generational erosion of trust in American medicine,"

Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC), told Fox News Digital. "A perfect example of ego destroying whatever achievements he had prior to the pandemic."Rep. John Joyce, R-Pa., told Fox News Digital that Fauci "must be held accountable" by the House as well as the Senate."The release of Dr. Fauci's diary entries validates what many Americans suspected all along: he was not honest about the origins of COVID-19," Joyce said.

"His fixation on preserving his own image and maintaining a position of power eroded public trust, undermined the integrity of our public health institutions, and failed the American people." Diary entries made public by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a medical doctor and longtime Fauci critic and chair of the committee before which Fauci is appearing on Wednesday, show the high-profile doctor reflecting on his pandemic-era fame and raising questions about the disease's origins, mostly while admiring how well the lighting hit his face during television interviews.

Some entries appear to show Fauci taking credit for influencing policies that closed schools during the pandemic, something that has become one of the most hotly debated aspects of how the government handled COVID. But he lied and told the House Oversight Committee in January 2024, "I did not close the schools."

Historians are now racing to determine which version of Fauci will appear under oath this week: the one who shut down childhood or the one who merely suggested it while looking very concerned on cable news.

Fauci has long denied any wrongdoing and instead has argued that he's been made a political target by people on the right who are critical of how governments handled COVID-19, a defense that works best when delivered from behind a presidential pardon and a wall of media flattery.

Trump Says Some Republicans Want to ‘Obliterate’ Iran While Others Prefer a Nice Little Chat First

U.S. airstrikes carried out a day earlier, on July 17, 2026,
in Iran's Hormozgan Province did this.

Apparently the Grand Old Party is having its usual family meeting about Iran, and the options on the table range from “please pass the nukes” to “maybe we should text them first.”

President Donald Trump explained this morning on “Fox & Friends” that some elected Republicans are begging the U.S. to hit Iran “harder” than ever before, while the more refined members of the party would rather try sweet-talking Tehran into a deal before anyone starts rearranging the country’s infrastructure with high explosives.

Steve Doocy, ever the calm adult in the room, asked where the Republican coalition currently stands on the Iran situation, especially with midterms lurking in November like an unpaid bill.

"Some Republicans said, 'well, why don't we hit them harder?'" Trump said, adding, "You have a group of people that want it to be obliterated in the truest sense of the word. Then you have a group that says, this is actually a good time to make a deal for them."

The deal-loving Republicans, Trump helpfully clarified, still keep a backup plan in their back pocket: if the Iranians refuse to play nice, just “finish the job.” Finishing the job, in this particular vocabulary, means turning Iran’s bridges, power plants, and other inconvenient pieces of modern life into modern art via airstrikes.

"I think about 91 million people without power, without bridges," Trump added. "So I think we have a very strong position right now. They know I'm going to do that. If they don't make a deal, the bridges are going to be gone literally in less than . . . two hours."

Now that is a "strong negotiating position."

Bryan Kohberger Demands Do-Over After Pleading Guilty to Butchering Four Idaho Students

Convicted murderer Bryan Kohberger, who last year admitted to slaughtering four University of Idaho students in cold blood, now wants to yank his guilty plea and demand a shiny new trial, according to The New York Times

Kohberger, already locked up for life without parole, issued a statement from his Idaho prison cell to the paper. "My actual innocence is my truth, and the plea hinged on by false promises and blatant disinformation, MUST be withdrawn,” the murdering scumcrumpet said.

The weird-eyed admitted killer now doubled down on an “absolute claim of innocence.” In July 2025, this aspiring criminologist pleaded guilty to murdering 21-year-olds Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, and 20-year-olds Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin inside their off-campus rental home back in November 2022.

Pretrial evidence piled up like unpaid student loans.

Cops found his DNA on the sheath of the murder knife, the very same knife he ordered off Amazon months earlier. His car matched the one captured on surveillance circling the crime scene like a hungry vulture. No motive or personal link to the victims ever turned up, yet prosecutors still cut him a deal: skip the death penalty if he confessed and waved goodbye to any appeals.

Kohberger refused to address the mountain of evidence against him, insisting the whole mess would be handled "appropriately in a trial setting." He also told the Times he drafted the challenge documents all by himself, noting that plenty of his defense lawyers recalled how he always griped about the plea deal and the evidence.

"Unanswered questions seem to multiply with each piece of discovery unsealed," Kohberger said in his statement. Apparently, he doesn't like the idea of living in prison for the rest of his life, and his biggest worry is what might happen to him if he drops the soap in the shower.

Steve Goncalves, father of murdered Kaylee Goncalves, declined comment, saying he first needed to talk it over with his family. Smart move when the man who butchered your daughter suddenly rediscovers his "truth."

After more than a month with zero suspects, Pennsylvania state police and the FBI finally nabbed Kohberger in a dawn raid at his parents’ home near the Poconos. At the time he was a graduate student and teaching assistant in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Washington State University

Former professors and classmates described him as "obsessed" with serial killers, criminal behavior, and the psychology of antisocial types during his classes.

If anything is true here, it's that Kohberger is an “expert on crime” because he committed one, a really big one.

Legal experts note that convicts usually get one year from judgment to attack a conviction over major constitutional defects or incompetent counsel. Whether this late-blooming innocence claim earns him a second shot remains anybody’s guess.

It's possible, if he gets a new trial and is convicted, that he gets the death sentence, proving justice moves in mysterious ways.

Cracker Barrel Finds CEO Who Promises To Leave The Rocking Chairs Alone

Cracker Barrel announced Monday that CEO Julie Masino will step down on Aug. 10, ending a tenure best remembered for proving that when Americans stop at Cracker Barrel, they are not secretly hoping it turns into an upscale airport lounge.

Masino will remain with the company in an advisory role until Oct. 9, presumably to point out which antiques are actually nailed to the walls before quietly heading toward the gift shop exit.

The restaurant chain said David Deno will take over as CEO after what executives described as an exhaustive search for someone who understands the revolutionary business concept of letting Cracker Barrel be Cracker Barrel.

"Following a robust and thoughtful search process, we are pleased to welcome David as Cracker Barrel's next CEO," independent Chairman Carl Berquist said. "He brings decades of experience across the restaurant and retail industries, with a strong track record of leading businesses through growth and a demonstrated commitment to operational excellence, guest experience, and team member engagement."

"We are confident David is the right leader to continue building on the Cracker Barrel legacy, drive further positive momentum operationally and financially, and create sustainable value for our shareholders," Berquist continued.

Translation: please do not remove any more rocking chairs.

Berquist also thanked Masino for "her leadership and commitment to Cracker Barrel," adding that the company appreciates "her partnership to ensure a smooth leadership transition as we remain focused on the work underway to continue to serve our guests, support our employees, and execute our strategic priorities."

Incoming CEO David Deno praised Cracker Barrel as "a truly iconic American brand, defined by its unique combination of warm country hospitality, timeless appeal, and deep connection with guests across generations."

He added that he looks forward to "unlocking the full potential of this remarkable brand," with a focus on "delivering delicious food and exceptional experiences for our guests, while driving profitable growth."

Industry insiders say this ambitious strategy may also involve keeping biscuits on the menu and resisting the urge to replace the country store with a minimalist espresso bar selling artisanal kale.

Masino's departure follows last year's infamous rebranding effort that somehow concluded the biggest problem facing Cracker Barrel was looking too much like Cracker Barrel. The makeover removed the familiar "old timer" from the logo, rearranged the interiors, and polished away enough rustic charm to make longtime customers wonder if they had accidentally wandered into a furniture showroom.

The overhaul was part of a $700 million modernization effort across more than 660 restaurants. Apparently someone believed customers came for an updated aesthetic instead of chicken fried steak, hash brown casserole, and the comforting certainty that every wall would contain at least three mysterious farm tools.

After a wave of customer backlash, the company quickly reversed course. Masino admitted the makeover had missed the mark, proving once again that Americans are surprisingly protective of restaurants where the décor looks like Grandpa's attic and the peg game quietly humiliates people while they wait for meatloaf.

Financial results failed to brighten the mood. The company reported weaker than expected earnings in December, with Masino acknowledging there were "unique and ongoing headwinds." Those headwinds appeared to consist largely of customers asking, "Why did you change the place we already liked?"

Sales continued to slide into the new year, although March results still managed to beat Wall Street expectations. Investors were relieved to learn there remains one timeless business model that never goes out of style: serve comfort food, leave the rocking chairs where they are, and never underestimate the fury of Americans who discover someone has tried to modernize nostalgia.

Brandon Newsom out of a job with Navy after bashing Trump

Brandon Newsom, the former head (or director) of business operations in the Office of the Secretary of the Navy at the Pentagon, is no longer employed by the Department of the Navy. He didn't so much as quit as he needed to leave under the circumstances, following the release of undercover hidden-camera footage in which he criticized President Donald Trump and discussed plans to reverse administration policies.

The footage was recorded by conservative activist James O’Keefe and published online on July 22, 2026.

In the video, Newsom (who described overseeing corporate operations such as HR, IT, and security) referred to Trump as a “textbook narcissist.” He called the ongoing war with Iran “completely stupid” and “driven by one man’s ego,” as if his plan didn't involve his own high-level ego.

He said he hoped to “stay and stick it out” at the Pentagon “so that way, when the time comes, I can undo whatever’s been done” by the Trump administration. Kind of egotistical if you ask me.

Specific policies he mentioned included religious/prayer services at the Pentagon (objecting to “one specific” service) and changes to employee “schedule policy” that he said stripped protections.

Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao placed Newsom on administrative leave “effective immediately” after the video emerged, stating that the Department of the Navy “takes the conduct shown in this video extremely seriously” and that such statements and apparent intent to undermine policies set by elected leaders were “inappropriate and incompatible with the standards expected of Department personnel.”

On or around July 26, 2026, Cao confirmed: “The individual is no longer employed by the Department of the Navy.” It is unclear from reports whether Newsom resigned or was terminated; the Pentagon referred questions to the Navy.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

News outlets have noted the context of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s efforts under the Trump administration to reverse what it describes as “woke” policies (including DEI programs) in the military, along with other personnel and cultural changes at the Pentagon.

Some reports indicate O’Keefe presented the encounter as occurring during a “gay date,” with O’Keefe in disguise. Newsweek and other outlets have stated they have not independently verified the recording.

This is the dominant recent news involving the name Brandon Newsom as of late July 2026. (Note: A different individual, a former Holmes County, Florida, commissioner also named Brandon Newsom/Brandon Brown Newsom, faced felony charges related to bail bond activities in 2025, was suspended by Gov. Ron DeSantis, and has been linked to local political activity, but that is separate and older.)
