New York Magazine, an evil rag, has just published a special package in its issue of 10 August 2026, under the title “Habibi City,” also presented as a celebration of SWANA New York. The piece of crap sets out to applaud the rising cultural presence of Southwest Asian and North African [SWANA] communities across the city: the parties, the restaurants, the artists, the comedians, the bookstores, all led by a younger generation that has decided the moment is theirs.

The cover photograph shows a gathering at Laylit, held at Elsewhere. The principal essay is the work of the execrable Zaina Arafat. 

Critics, most prominently John Podhoretz writing in the New York Post, have described the cover and its accompanying package as the “evil ‘Habibi City’ cover.” Similar language has appeared elsewhere. They contend that the issue advances an anti-Israel and anti-Zionist outlook, treats Jewish New Yorkers with marked coolness or as an unwelcome presence, resorts to formulations such as “the land mass currently called Israel,” and rearranges the events after 7 October so that the sense of threat is inverted. 

All of this, they note, unfolds against the political backdrop of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s New York. 

The magazine itself presents the exercise as a cheerful affirmation of SWANA cultural influence and community spirit. The word “evil” is the critics’ own. The dispute is only a few days old, yet it has already provoked considerable objection both online and in the opinion pages. 

Arafat [no relation to Yassar] is a Palestinian-American writer who makes no secret of her strong anti-Zionist/anti-Semitic convictions, although she never has covertly mentioned the latter hatred in public. She describes the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in terms that a range of Jewish organizations, the New York Post, The Free Press and others regard as antisemitic or as adding fuel to an antisemitic atmosphere.

In the lead essay she informs readers that SWANA New Yorkers continue to confront “xenophobia, Islamophobia, and Zionism.” Zionism is thereby placed on the same plane as racial prejudice or anti-Muslim hostility. 

She further presents the SWANA cultural flowering as “born out of the pain of the genocide in Gaza” and speaks of people “living under the threat of annihilation” in the period after 7 October.

The wider package, of which her essay is the centerpiece, employs the phrase “the land mass currently called Israel,” an expression critics have called an erasure of Jewish history and of any legitimate claim to the region. Coverage of Jewish and Israeli chefs and restaurants has been criticized as something closer to a hit piece.

Israeli Consul-General says Mamdani is an anti-Semite behind a fake smile

Israel’s Consul-General in New York City, Ofir Akunis, has accused the city’s mayor, Zohran Mamdani, of being an anti-Semite who conceals himself behind a false smile, which some would call a sh*t-eating-grin.

The charge was made in an interview with CBS News on Sunday.

“He is saying, I will ensure the security of the Jewish community in New York. How will you do it if you are saying that Israel is responsible for a genocide in Gaza?” Akunis said. “This is a disgusting lie, Mr. mayor. You know that there is no genocide in the Gaza Strip.”

In fact, the Gazan population has grown significantly since 1948 as the graph shows [below].

Akunis further condemned comrade Mamdani for applying the word “monsters” to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the influential pro-Israel lobby group in the United States. He didn't even have to mention Mamdani's anti-Semitic history and how she "Liked" a post on X praising the October 7, 2023 attack on innocent Israelis at a music festival and in their homes.

“It’s the same word that the Germans, that the Nazi regime used against the Jewish community,” Akunis said. 

The consul-general closed the interview by issuing a warning to the United States, a nation of which he declared himself a devoted admirer. “It’s very emotional to me to see the American flag right here in the streets of Manhattan,” he stated. “I don’t want to see them force the Sharia laws on you. You must stop them now before it will be too late for you.”

Bibi vows to visit the Big Apple in spite of the worm who said he'd arrest him

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear Tuesday that he has no intention of letting New York City's newest progressive jihadi and failed rapper, decide where he can and cannot travel. Despite Mayor comrade Zohran Mamdani's repeated demands that he be arrested if he sets foot in the city, Netanyahu announced he will still attend the United Nations General Assembly in September. 

"I'm going to New York," Netanyahu said during an interview with "Hannity" after meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House. Evidently, Bibi, a former IDF's Sayeret Matkal elite unit, is unafraid of the Uganda soy boy.

Apparently, being threatened with arrest by an anti-Semitic mayor who is too ignorant to realize that he cannot legally arrest him, ranked somewhere below "Tuesday" on Netanyahu's list of concerns.

"I'm going to speak the truth in front of this hate-spewing elected official who's pitting one group of New Yorkers against the others. He's turning them against New York Jews," Bibi said.

Netanyahu accused the Marx fan of reviving a political tradition that civilized nations were supposed to have buried generations ago, warning that the mayor's rhetoric deliberately fuels hostility toward Jewish residents, but everyone knows what Mamdani thinks of Jews.

Mamdani has spent years attacking Netanyahu over Israel's military operations in Gaza and Lebanon. 

The mayor's wife, Rama Sawaf Duwaji, even "liked" a post from The Slow Factory that showed photos of the border breach on October 7, 2023. On the next day, the witch liked posts from People's Forum NYC, among others supporting "Palestine resistance" including "From the river to the sea" messaging. Zohran is married to this harpy.

Most recently, Mamdani labeled the Israeli leader a "war criminal" and "the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people." He had nothing bad to say about the Hamassholes who initiated the attack on innocent Israelis.

Although Mamdani, a POS, admitted he has no legal authority to arrest Netanyahu under the International Criminal Court warrant, that minor inconvenience did not stop him from encouraging federal officials to do it instead. Apparently, in progressive politics, legal authority is now viewed as more of a suggestion than a requirement.

Netanyahu responded by comparing the atmosphere to one of history's darker chapters.

"What are we in the 1930s? What is this? So much hate, so many lies," Netanyahu told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

The prime minister also blasted the International Criminal Court, calling it a "corrupt, evil organization" that seems remarkably selective about who qualifies as a war criminal. Think about that fact.

"They don't charge Hezbollah… Supposedly, they charged Hamas, but a guy who's already dead. So no, it's fake. It's one big fake," he told Fox News.

Netanyahu warned that once unelected international bureaucrats begin inventing crimes for democratic leaders defending their countries from terrorists, it is only a matter of time before America lands in the crosshairs.

"They could say that the president of the United States is a war criminal, that American soldiers, valiantly fighting next to us, shoulder to shoulder, against the tyranny in Tehran, that they're war criminals."

Meanwhile, former New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, another leftist dolt, joined Mamdani's campaign to arrest Netanyahu, proving that nothing unites New York's progressive establishment quite like treating Israel's elected leader more harshly than the terrorist organizations trying to destroy his country.

Netanyahu also praised his latest meeting with President Trump, dismissing the media's endless hopes of finding daylight between Washington and Jerusalem.

"I always hate to disappoint our would-be critics who are trying to find cracks in our alliance. And what they find, like today, is a wall of granite," he said.

The Israeli leader emphasized that both governments remain committed to preventing Iran's radical regime from obtaining nuclear weapons. This is to the benefit of not only Israel and the United States, it's a benefit to the entire free world.

"We don't want to see this fanatic regime in Tehran have nuclear weapons to threaten every American and to threaten the peace of the world, and to threaten the existence of Israel," Bibi continued. "So we have a common goal, and it's gonna be achieved, either through diplomatic means or other means."

For now, Netanyahu appears unconcerned that New York's mayor wants him arrested. After spending years dealing with Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran's ayatollahs, and the United Nations, surviving a press conference in Manhattan may end up being the easiest challenge on his itinerary.

Mamdani needs to be thrown out of office, either by vote or governor Hochul's intervention. But the chances of the latter happening are slim to none.

Attacker yells something like "Al Lou's Snackbar" stabs a Jew and Asian in NYC's upper West Side

Two men, one of whom was visibly Jewish, were stabbed outside an Orthodox synagogue in Manhattan's West Side.

The NYPD's initial investigation suggests that mental health may have been a factor, or perhaps another case of anti-Semitism catching on among the fashionable Left. To their credit, investigators are also evaluating the stabbings as a potential hate crime, a refreshing change from pretending every attack on Jews is just an unfortunate coincidence.

The Lincoln Square Synagogue at 200 Amsterdam Avenue on the corner of West 69th Street in Manhattan's Lincoln Square neighborhood has stood since 1970, designed by Hausman & Rosenberg. On Thursday, it became the latest reminder that New York's promises of tolerance seem to apply to everyone except Jews.

Eyewitnesses allege that the suspect shouted something that sounded sort of like "Al Lou's Snack bar" during the attack, according to the Anti-Defamation League in a post on X.

Police said a 57 year old man was stabbed in the back, while a 50 year old man was stabbed in the chest because they are Jewish.

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who coincidentally is also Jewish, announced that 51 year old Raul Morales had been arrested in connection with both attacks and that "no other people are being sought," in a post on X early Friday morning.

She added that one victim is Asian and the other is Jewish, and that the NYPD is investigating whether the attacks qualify as a hate crime.

At the same time, Tisch said the initial investigation suggested the attacker's mental health "may have been a factor," just like it is with all Muslims who believe that killing people for being Jewish is the right thing to do to please Allah. The thing is, if Allah has created the world and thus created the Jews, then how dies he call himself perfect? I certainly wouldn't hire Allah as a project manager, that's for sure.

"At this time there is no known link between Morales and either of the victims, nor between the victims and each other," she said.

That explanation has become almost routine whenever someone attacks Jews. The script practically writes itself. Mention mental health, avoid uncomfortable questions, and hope everyone moves on before anyone notices the growing pattern. Has nobody on the freaking left read the Islamic war manual they call the Koran?

New York Mayor and proud anti-Semite, comrade Zohran Mamdani responded on X, writing, "I have been briefed on today’s horrifying stabbings on the Upper West Side, where an Asian man and a Jewish man were attacked."

"According to witness and victim statements, the perpetrator yelled 'Allahu Akbar' during both attacks. I am relieved that both victims are in stable condition."

"The NYPD’s initial investigation suggests that mental health may have been a factor. They are also evaluating these stabbings as potential hate crimes," he added, using taqiyya to keep things on the down-low.

That statement might carry more weight if New Yorkers had not spent months watching politicians and activists normalize anti-Israel rhetoric while insisting there was absolutely no connection between demonizing the Jewish state and rising hostility toward Jewish people. Apparently, the Left believes words have immense power, except when those words are directed at Jews.

Governor Kathy Hochul (D) also responded on X, saying she was "Disgusted by what appears to be another senseless attack on New Yorkers simply because they’re Jewish."

"The strength of New York has always been our ability to live together across every faith and background," she said, referring to the past.

Hochul pulled out an index card and read it: "Our hearts are also with the second victim. Asian New Yorkers, like Jewish New Yorkers, have endured waves of hate-fueled violence in recent years. Hate rarely stops with one group."

Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, was considerably less diplomatic. He directly blamed jihadi Mayor Mamdani for fostering the climate that made such violence more likely.

In a post on X, Danon wrote, "Zohran Mamdani, your incitement is putting Jewish lives in danger in New York, home to the largest Jewish community outside Israel."

"You have spent months fueling hatred, demonizing Israel and legitimizing hostility toward Jews. Now take responsibility for the consequences," he added.

"Stop the incitement. Before more people get hurt."

Yeah, sure. Like Mamdani is going to actually stop anti-Semitic violence when his constituency is comprised of blue and pink-hair commies, socialists, and brother Islamists who now accept anti-Semitic rhetoric as cocktail conversation.

Whether investigators ultimately conclude the attack was driven by mental illness, anti-Semitism, or both, one fact remains impossible to ignore. Jewish New Yorkers continue to find themselves targeted with alarming frequency, while too many public officials seem more comfortable explaining away the violence than confronting the toxic ideology that keeps producing it.

U.N. Discovers Closing One Of World's Most Important Shipping Lanes Might Actually Be Bad

The United Nations emerged from another emergency meeting Tuesday to announce a startling revelation: shutting down one of the world's busiest maritime chokepoints could have consequences.

The international body condemned the renewed fighting between the United States and Iran, warning that another closure of the Strait of Hormuz would create humanitarian problems across the globe. Apparently, even the U.N. has noticed that stopping the flow of oil, food and medicine isn't exactly a winning strategy.

U.N. rights chief Volker Turk called the renewed attacks "a huge setback for civilians in the region and beyond," warning about the "impact on human rights far beyond the region."

The strait "is a vital lifeline on which millions are reliant," Turk said.

He is an anti-Zionist Austrian-born UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, which in his case, is an oxymoron.  Since Oct, 7, 2023, Turk has been consistently critical of Israel's refusal to do nothing about the attack, while softly condemning the Hamassholes who FA'd. While he did refer to Hamas' slaughtering of Jews "heinous, brutal and shocking" war crimes, he apparently cannot comprehend Israel's need to defend herself.

This anti-Semite repeatedly accused Israel of war crimes, "mass killing" of Palestine civilians [without mentioning how Hamas fires rockets among the civilian population], hindering humanitarian aid, thus contributing to starvation, [without mentioning how Hamas blocks or steals the aid, uses it or sells it back to Gazans], and the "horrifying and unconscionable suffering" meted out to Palestinians [which doesn't actually exist].  This is not an exhaustive list of Turk's anti-Zionist claims, but you get the picture.

A lifeline is one way of describing the narrow waterway through which a massive share of the world's energy supply travels. It turns out civilization enjoys having cargo ships reach their destinations instead of playing maritime bumper cars with Iran's Revolutionary Guard.

"Disruptions to the flow of food, medicines, and other necessary commodities have severe socioeconomic and humanitarian consequences, both regionally and globally, he continued, adding that diplomacy, restraint and de-escalation must be prioritized," Turk said.

It is a familiar refrain from Turtle Bay, where calls for "restraint" tend to always arrive after terrorists, dictators or rogue regimes strike the innocents. 

Turk also insisted hostilities between the U.S. and Iran "must stop immediately," urging an immediate return to the ceasefire, especially due to the fact that Iran is getting its butt handed to them.

The appeal will no doubt be filed alongside the U.N.'s long and distinguished collection of sternly worded statements that have proven absolutely terrifying to the world's most aggressive regimes. Not!

Orthodox Jewish Man Told He Needs Government Permission to Pray in His Own Living Room as Supreme Court Steps In

Apparently, in modern America, inviting friends over for prayer now requires less faith in God and more faith in the local zoning board.

What began as a simple email from an Orthodox Jewish man to a few friends somehow escalated into a full blown government operation worthy of a narcotics investigation. The only contraband? Prayer. No, not Islamic prayer; Jewish prayer and evidently, that's a problem.

According to Amy Curtis at Townhall, an online magazine, in 2021 Daniel Grand invited several friends to gather for prayer in his home. Someone forwarded that email to the City of University Heights, which responded by issuing a cease-and-desist order declaring that Grand's home had become a "place of religious assembly."

Because nothing says "public safety" quite like a minyan of Jewish men quietly praying in a living room.

The city demanded that Grand obtain a government permit before hosting religious services in his own home. Officials also instructed police and neighbors to monitor his house and report visitors, giving the entire affair an unsettling "see something, say something" flavor, except the suspicious activity was apparently people arriving with prayer books instead of burglary tools.

The case has now reached the Supreme Court, where Alliance Defending Freedom will argue that Americans do not need bureaucratic approval to exercise one of the nation's oldest constitutional freedoms.

Gee, yah think?

"Every American has the right to host a prayer gathering in his home, and he certainly doesn’t need a city permit to do so. When government officials forbid that, courts must hold those individuals accountable, immediately," said ADF Senior Counsel and Vice President of Appellate Advocacy John Bursch. "The city’s actions underscore a troubling trend of weaponizing zoning laws against people of faith while allowing other gatherings of the same size, like book clubs or poker nights, to meet without issue. We’re pleased the Supreme Court will hear this case."

The comparison is impossible to ignore. 

Across America, public officials routinely accommodate large religious gatherings in parks, streets, and public spaces when they involve politically favored groups. Cities have approved amplified calls to prayer, street closures, and expansive mosque developments with little hesitation, often celebrating them as examples of diversity and inclusion.

Yet an Orthodox Jewish man hosting a few friends in his own home somehow becomes an alleged zoning menace requiring government surveillance. One has to wonder what would happen if the situation involved Muslims or even Christians. 

One has to wonder where the permit requirement begins and ends. Will families soon need city approval before reading the Bible around the dinner table? Will Bible studies require occupancy inspections? Perhaps neighborhood Hanukkah celebrations will need environmental impact statements.

The First Amendment was not written to protect only the fashionable religions of the moment. It was written precisely to prevent governments from deciding which faiths deserve freedom and which require paperwork.

Thankfully, the Supreme Court now has an opportunity to remind local officials that a private home is not government property, prayer is not a zoning violation, and constitutional rights do not come with an application fee.

And maybe, just maybe, the government officials who infringed on this man's First Amendment rights, can be held legally responsible.

Doctors Without Borders? Critics Say It's Becoming Doctors Without Boundaries for Anti-Israel Activism

Doctors Without Borders has long cultivated the image of a fearless humanitarian organization, rushing into war zones armed with medicine, compassion, and neutrality. According to a bombshell report from NGO Monitor, however, somewhere along the way the organization appears to have misplaced the neutrality and replaced it with an ideological pamphlet.

The report, Documenting the Antisemitic Organizational Culture of Doctors Without Borders, argues that anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, and outright hostility toward Israel are not isolated incidents inside MSF, but have become embedded in the organization's culture.

Drawing on testimony from former senior officials, longtime employees, and Jewish staff members, NGO Monitor concludes that anti-Israel activism has become less of an unfortunate side effect and more of an unofficial job requirement.

According to the report, it is "clear that anti-Semitism and anti-Israel bias are widespread in MSF's organizational culture and are expressed by both top officials and lower-level staff."

Former MSF Secretary-General Richard Rossin says this transformation is hardly new. Speaking to Canada's National Post in July 2024, Rossin recalled that hostility toward Israel "was perceptible around the beginning of the 80's."

"Anti-Semitism within MSF began under the cover of anti-Zionism. It [the ideological shift] cannot be fixed. How can you fix anti-Semitism, which is not an opinion but a mental disease?" he said.

Apparently, the organization's commitment to "without borders" did come with at least one exception: Israelis.

Rossin recounted a 2010 mission to Uganda where an MSF Holland contingent reportedly refused to cooperate with an Israeli medical NGO that had arrived to help civilians. The National Post described it as an example of "one-way empathy," where ideological prejudice overpowered the humanitarian mission.

That selective compassion, Rossin believes, continues to influence MSF's work in Gaza today.

Former MSF Secretary-General Alain Destexhe offered an even harsher assessment.

"I think now MSF in Gaza is really taking the side [of] Hamas and against Israel. Americans need to know that Doctors Without Borders is not anymore the organization that it was 15 or 20 years ago. It has become a biased, partial and militant organization."

He added:

"MSF is lying, MSF is partial, MSF is biased, and MSF are accomplices of Hamas."

For an organization that constantly lectures the world about impartiality, critics say those are astonishing accusations coming from one of its own former leaders.

Michael Goldfarb, who spent 15 years working for MSF in the United States, described what he says was routine hostility toward both Israel and Jews.

"European colleagues freely told me, knowing I am Jewish, that Israel doesn't have a right to exist."

He said the atmosphere inside the organization had become saturated with ideological extremism.

"You see extreme ideological fervor, Israel as a Nazi state, Jews as the oppressive, colonial, white supremacists, Zionism as Nazism," Goldfarb said. "Nothing meaningful has been done to address anti-Semitism, to show solidarity with Jewish staff, or call out this hate. That creates a permissive environment in which it flourishes."

One has to wonder how an organization dedicated to healing people became so comfortable demonizing the world's only Jewish state while apparently ignoring the hatred directed at its own Jewish employees.

Dr. Estrella Lasry, who served as a tropical medicine advisor at MSF's Geneva headquarters for more than a decade, described what she called an institutional indifference toward Israelis murdered by Hamas.

She recalled "the appalling lack of empathy in the organization towards the victims in Israel."

When she challenged the organization's messaging, the response was not exactly a master class in open dialogue.

"I said our communication was biased and for an organization that claims to be impartial, it was creating a biased, skewed, false narrative around what was actually going on. It was giving a very one-sided view … I was told I was part of the 'Israeli propaganda machine' in a meeting, and nobody flinched."

According to NGO Monitor, the hostility extends beyond private conversations.

The report says MSF's internal staff forum, known as "the Souk," has featured posts declaring: "The fight for freedom … is about liberating the world from the grip of Zionism…"; "Israel is a '76-year-old crime scene'"; and "As for the accusation of rape against Palestinian resistance fighters, I believe these are propaganda."

If accurate, those statements suggest that conspiracy theories and terrorist apologetics have found a surprisingly comfortable home inside an organization that insists it operates above politics.

"Clearly, the organization has blatantly and repeatedly violated its claim to act on the basis of neutrality, impartiality, and independence," NGO Monitor concluded.

The report further alleges that complaints about systemic anti-Semitism were routinely brushed aside by leadership, while those raising concerns found themselves ignored or marginalized.

NGO Monitor argues that meaningful reform will require far more than another diversity seminar or carefully worded press release. It recommends sweeping structural changes, new leadership, independent oversight, and greater accountability for board members and institutional funders.

For critics, the central question is no longer whether Doctors Without Borders has opinions about Israel. Every individual is entitled to opinions.

The question is whether an organization that depends on public trust and donor support can continue presenting itself as politically neutral while, according to former insiders, cultivating an environment where anti-Zionism increasingly serves as a socially acceptable mask for anti-Semitism.

IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Who Held Israeli Hostages, Including Capt. Daniel Perez

Another Mo bites the dust, gets his goats, and can harm no more

There are moments in war when justice, however incomplete, arrives with unmistakable clarity. The killing of Muhammad Na'im Jandiya by the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet is one such moment. Of course, it doesn't undo the horrors of October 7, nor does it restore the lives that were stolen. But it removes from the world a terrorist scumwafer who devoted his life to kidnapping, terror, and murder.

The IDF announced Friday that Jandiya, the head of military security for Hamas's Shajaiyah Battalion, was killed in a strike in northern Gaza earlier this week. His record serves as yet another reminder of the nature of the organization that continues to cloak barbarism beneath the language of "resistance."

Jandiya participated in the kidnapping of Capt. Daniel Perez during the October 7 massacre, one of the darkest days in Israel's modern history. Perez commanded St.-Sgt. Itay Chen and Sgt. Tomer Leibovitz, both of whom were murdered during the assault. Another member of his unit, Matan Angrest, was taken hostage into Gaza.

After October 7, Jandiya also imprisoned Israeli hostages Yotam Haim, Samar Talalka, and Alon Shamriz in the labyrinth of tunnels beneath Gaza's Shuja'iya neighborhood. These three hostages were later tragically killed by Israeli forces in a heartbreaking case of mistaken identity, a reminder of the impossible moral terrain imposed by Hamas's deliberate strategy of embedding captives among terrorists.

In a video shared on social media, Rabbi Doron Perez, the father of Capt. Daniel Perez, responded to the news with words that reflected both grief and gratitude.

"What a zechut [honor] to live in a sovereign Jewish state where we are able to bring such evildoers to justice," he said. "We may be the smallest nation in the world, but we are the largest family. Am Yisrael Chai."

He also thanked the Shin Bet and the IDF for their relentless pursuit of "those who have done so much evil, bad, and plan to do more."

The IDF stated that Jandiya remained actively involved in Hamas's military operations until his death.

"As part of Jandia's senior position in the Shajaiyah Battalion, he also recently tried to promote terrorist plots against our forces operating in the Gaza Strip," the military announced.

The military further noted that Jandiya participated in Hamas's grotesque hostage release "ceremonies," carefully staged propaganda spectacles designed to sanitize an organization whose defining characteristics remain kidnapping, torture, and the deliberate targeting of civilians.

The death of one Hamas commander does not end the conflict. Nor does it erase the suffering inflicted on the hostages, their families, or the countless victims of October 7. But it does underscore an essential truth that is too often obscured in international debate: men like Muhammad Na'im Jandiya were not bystanders caught in war's crossfire. They were architects of atrocity who made terrorism their vocation.

His death is not a cause for celebration. It is the sober administration of justice against a man whose legacy consists entirely of cruelty, hostage-taking, and violence.

House Passes Bipartisan Resolution To Throw Rashida Tlaib's Latest Anti-Israel Tantrum In The Congressional Trash

WASHINGTON—In a development so shocking it briefly caused Capitol Hill to malfunction like a government website on tax day, the House of Representatives actually accomplished something useful Tuesday. Democrats and Republicans united in rare harmony to take the anti-Semitic Rep. Rashida Tlaib's latest anti-Israel performance art piece, escort it gently but firmly to the nearest legislative Port-o-Potty, and set it on fire.

Tlaib's war powers resolution, aimed at handcuffing U.S. military involvement in Lebanon, went down in a solid bipartisan 235-189 vote. Twenty-two Democrats bravely jumped ship from the Michigan congresswoman, joining nearly every Republican in opposition. 

In Washington terms, that's the equivalent of the entire room agreeing the fire alarm isn't just another progressive policy proposal.

The measure would have banned U.S. forces from any "hostilities" in Lebanon, a pressing issue if America were, you know, actually fighting there. But facts remain stubbornly uncooperative with Tlaib's worldview, i.e., that the Jewish state needs to be eliminated.

One lonely Republican dissenter was the execrable Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, whose foreign policy instincts continue to spin wildly like a compass next to an industrial magnet. Time to vote him out.

Michigan's premier anti-Israel activist cosplaying as a member of Congress tried to limit military authority in a nation where America isn't conducting combat operations. It's roughly as urgent as demanding emergency legislation to stop astronauts from invading Saskatchewan.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and most Democrats voted to tie President Donald Trump's hands on using force in Lebanon without congressional permission. Of course, Jeffries had opposed an earlier version of Tlaib's scheme, proving once again that consistency in the Democratic Party is treated like an optional accessory, right next to "supporting the troops."

The whole thing was a concurrent resolution, carrying all the legal weight of a strongly worded Facebook post. Even if it passed, it would never have reached President Trump's desk for a signature, veto, or well-deserved eye-roll.

Tlaib, Congress's only Palestinian American member and Israel's most dedicated congressional tormentor, has spent years accusing the Jewish state of "ethnic cleansing" in Gaza and Lebanon. Republicans correctly note that her laser focus on condemning Israel while giving Hezbollah a rhetorical free pass amounts to providing comfort to an Iranian-backed terrorist outfit.

Strangely missing from Tlaib's resolution was any condemnation of Hezbollah, the terror group that has spent years rocketing Israeli civilians and turning southern Lebanon into its personal launchpad. Apparently the actual people firing rockets at school buses deserve less congressional attention than the country daring to defend itself.

Earlier this month, Tlaib pushed an even broader version that critics said could have forced U.S. personnel guarding the American Embassy to abandon their posts and crippled aid to the Lebanese Armed Forces fighting actual terrorists. Even by Washington standards, siding against the non-terrorist side is a special kind of genius.

After that flop, she rolled out a revised version with polite exemptions for diplomatic security and training Lebanese troops. Nothing says "principled stand" like frantically editing your legislation after everyone reads the first draft and recoils in horror.

Republicans rightly wondered why Congress was wasting time stopping a war America isn't fighting.

"There are not U.S. combat forces conducting operations or engaged in hostilities in Lebanon," House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, (R-FL), said during debate. "They are training the Lebanese Armed Forces."

"Why are they training?" Mast continued. "Because there's probably at least 40,000, probably more, Hezbollah terrorists spread across the South of Lebanon that are actively engaged in targeting Israel and have been doing so for many years."

Mast went further, correctly labeling supporters of the resolution as "proxies for Hezbollah," a remark unlikely to earn him a Christmas card from the Squad.

Ranking Member Gregory Meeks (D-NY), defended the pointless exercise by claiming it would prevent America from entering "another forever war that is not in our national interest."

A noble thought, if only the United States were actually in a war in Lebanon. Instead, Congress spent the afternoon solemnly debating how to stop a ghost from invading a house it never entered, while Hezbollah kept doing what it does best: trying to annihilate Israel and counting on enough useful idiots in Washington to stay distracted by imaginary American aggression. 

At least this time, sanity prevailed. Barely.

Left Eats Its Own: Pro Hamas Activists Chase Scott Wiener Out of San Francisco Pride Event Anyway

If anyone still needed proof that the modern Left eventually devours everyone who isn't sufficiently revolutionary, California state Sen. Scott Wiener, a gay Jewish activist, just volunteered as Exhibit A.

Wiener, a Democrat, is one of the architects of California's progressive agenda, discovered the hard way that decades of faithful service to the activist class earn you exactly nothing once the mob decides your loyalty to Israel is unforgivable.

Video posted to X shows Wiener attempting to walk through crowds gathering for San Francisco's Trans March before being greeted with the sort of tolerance, inclusion, and acceptance progressives are always promising everyone else.

"You stopped being queer the moment you started supporting Israel, you piece of sh*t!" one participant screamed in a high-pitched falsetto.

Nothing says "love is love" quite like informing a gay Jewish man that his sexual orientation has been revoked because he refuses to hate the Jewish state.

Ironically, the video begins with the person filming praising Wiener's record on LGBT legislation. Apparently all of those years of advancing progressive causes were erased the instant Israel entered the conversation.

"I think your policy on the genocide of Gaza is terrible," the person filming Wiener said as masked activists converged around him. "I think you do not belong here."

Soon, more masked protesters surrounded the senator, shouting that he was a "genocidal piece of sht" while chanting, "We fcking hate you!" Because they love Hamas.

It was another inspiring display from the same political movement that constantly lectures America about kindness, empathy, and stamping out hate.

Former MTV reality star Spencer Pratt could not resist pointing out the poetic justice.

"Hey, Wiener guy! Remember when you called me a 'McBigot'?" Pratt wrote on X. "How does it feel now that the Frankenstein you created is coming for you? Every stupid communist learns this history lesson the hard way. Enjoy!"

That may have been the most accurate political analysis of the entire episode.

The activists repeatedly insisted Wiener had betrayed the LGBT community by refusing to adopt their preferred anti Israel orthodoxy.

"It sucks because you've been wonderful, you've been wonderful for trans people, and you've been terrible, and you've been terrible, you've been terrible, you've been terrible on Gaza!" one protester yelled as Wiener kept walking.

Dimitry Yakoushkin, who shared the video online, celebrated the confrontation by declaring Wiener insufficiently radical.

"Scott Wiener showed up to the trans march and for the first time we kicked his a** out," Yakoushkin wrote. "It's sad because while he's written some good legislation for queers, hes [sic] ultimately a genocidal-supporting center right shill."

Imagine being a California Democrat who helped push one of the most progressive agendas in America only to be branded "center right" because you failed the latest ideological purity test. On today's Left, anyone to the right of Che Guevara is apparently a conservative.

The truly remarkable part is that Wiener has hardly been an unwavering defender of Israel. After the October 7 Hamas massacre, he criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and by January 2026 even declared in a video that he does "believe Israel has committed genocide in Gaza."

That dramatic shift earned him exactly zero forgiveness.

The revolutionary tribunal had already reached its verdict.

"You're a piece of sh*t on Gaza!" the person filming shouted. "How could you do that? How could you betray queers? How could you oppress people?"

For years, conservatives have warned that identity politics eventually collapses into endless purity tests where no amount of ideological conformity is ever enough. Scott Wiener spent years helping build that machine.

This week, it finally decided to run over one of its own.

Hezbollah Furious That Lebanon Might Stop Letting Hezbollah Run Lebanon

Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem is having a rough weekend. The terror group's secretary general blasted the newly signed Israel-Lebanon framework agreement as "null," a "humiliation," and an outrageous assault on the sacred tradition of heavily armed militias operating their own private state inside another state.

Apparently, nothing says "national sovereignty" quite like taking orders from Tehran while stockpiling rockets in civilian neighborhoods.

Speaking on Saturday, Qassem declared that any effort to tie Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon to Hezbollah giving up its arsenal crossed "all red lines." Translation: Israel is expected to leave, but Hezbollah is expected to keep enough missiles to redecorate northern Israel whenever the mood strikes.

“We say to the Lebanese authorities, it is time for you to retract your sins that are destroying Lebanon,” Qassem asserted.

That is certainly one way to describe the situation. Another would be to ask whether the organization that has dragged Lebanon into repeated wars, frightened away investors, and treated the country's sovereignty like an optional suggestion is perhaps looking in the wrong mirror.

The framework agreement, signed Friday by the United States, Israel, and Lebanon after days of negotiations in Washington, lays out a step by step plan to dismantle Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure, disarm the group, and allow the IDF to withdraw from southern Lebanon as the threat disappears.

In other words, somebody finally proposed the radical idea that a country's army should be the country's army.

The agreement also calls for the United States to strengthen the Lebanese Armed Forces so the nation's military, instead of an Iranian proxy, can provide security within Lebanon.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the deal, calling it “a major achievement for the State of Israel” in a public address.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun welcomed the agreement as “the first step on the path to restoring Lebanon's sovereignty” in a post on X.

Qassem, meanwhile, appears to believe Lebanese sovereignty is best preserved by ensuring Hezbollah remains more heavily armed than the Lebanese government itself. It is a fascinating constitutional theory, albeit one that seems to exist nowhere outside the offices of Iran's Revolutionary Guard.

For years Hezbollah has insisted it is merely defending Lebanon. Now that someone has suggested Lebanon might defend itself, Hezbollah suddenly finds the proposal deeply offensive.

U.N. Official Responds To Oct. 7 Survivor With The International Symbol For "Not My Problem"

For decades, the United Nations has searched tirelessly for new and innovative ways to disappoint Jews. This week, it may have achieved a career defining performance.

The chamber of the United Nations Human Rights Council fell into an awkward silence as Ilana Gritzewsky, a survivor of Hamas' October 7 massacre, stepped up to the microphone and did something increasingly rare in international diplomacy: tell the truth in front of people determined not t:o hear it.

Standing before Reem Alsalem, the U.N.'s special rapporteur on violence against women, Gritzewsky delivered firsthand testimony of the horrors she endured during Hamas captivity. While most people would respond to such testimony with compassion, horror, or at the very least basic human decency, the U.N. apparently prefers a more avant garde approach.

Gritzewsky recounted the attack on her kibbutz. She described murder, arson, kidnapping, sexual abuse, beatings, and waking up half naked surrounded by seven Hamas terrorists. She spoke about her broken hip, broken jaw, and the psychological scars that still follow her home every day.

She then confronted the woman whose job title literally includes the words "violence against women."

“In captivity, Jewish women were raped, abused, and humiliated. And you, special rapporteur, you choose silence and denial. You say there was no evidence of sexual violence on October 7th,” she told Alsalem directly. “I’m standing here today, not as a report, not as a statistic. I am a woman who survived. I am the living proof of sexual violence by Hamas.”

Then came the question that turned the room into a monument to moral cowardice.

“When I, another Israeli woman, begged not to be raped, why were you silent? Please look at me. Do you believe us now? Will you apologize?”

At that moment, Alsalem faced an incredibly difficult choice. She could acknowledge reality. She could show empathy. She could apologize.

Instead, she apparently chose Option Four.

Silence.

Followed by a smirk.

Nothing quite captures the modern U.N. like watching a survivor of sexual violence beg to be believed while a senior human rights official reacts like she's sitting through an inconvenient staff meeting.

The exchange exposed a record that would be scandalous if scandal still existed at Turtle Bay. Last November, Alsalem publicly claimed that “no independent investigation found that rape took place on October 7,” despite a U.N. report concluding there were reasonable grounds to believe Hamas committed sexual violence during the massacre and even stronger evidence regarding hostages held in captivity.

As recently as April 2026, she was reportedly dismissing survivor testimony as “misinformation” used to “justify genocide against Palestinians.”

Apparently, according to this remarkable theory, Israeli women are simultaneously victims, witnesses, and public relations props whose testimony becomes invalid whenever it interferes with a preferred political narrative.

Her June 2026 report, "Violence against Mothers," somehow managed to discuss motherhood, war, and women's rights while treating Hamas like a mythical creature whose existence remains unconfirmed. The report accused Israel of reproductive violence and genocide, worried that American and Israeli strikes against Iran might harm Tehran's women's rights record, and omitted any meaningful discussion of Hamas atrocities.

Israeli mothers murdered in front of their children? Missing.

Families tortured by years of hostage uncertainty? Missing.

The systematic destruction of entire families by Hamas terrorists? Also missing.

One suspects that if Hamas filed its atrocities under a different heading, perhaps "climate justice" or "sustainable development," they might finally receive a mention.

On June 23, Ilana Gritzewsky offered Reem Alsalem a simple choice. Look at a survivor. Acknowledge her suffering. Admit the truth.

The survivor spoke.

The evidence stood in front of her.

And the U.N.'s representative for violence against women looked away.

For an organization that constantly reminds the world to listen to women, the message could not have been clearer.

Some women, apparently, are more equal than others.

Communist candidate runs out of live interview when asked about her social media history, wins nomination anyway

Newly minted socialist congressional candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier dramatically walked out of a radio interview Tuesday after hosts had the audacity to ask her about the mountain of unhinged social media posts that have defined her campaign against New York Democratic Rep. Adriano Espaillat.

Just hours after bolting from the live Spanish-language station La Mega like a student fleeing a pop quiz, Comrade Avila Chevalier pulled off a stunning upset by defeating the five-term incumbent and Congressional Hispanic Caucus chair in New York's deep-blue 13th District, which covers chunks of Manhattan and the Bronx. 

The win sends this DSA darling straight to Congress, where she will almost certainly be sworn in come November to represent the very voters she once lectured about the evils of nationalism.

Backed by socialist anti-Zionist/anti-Semitist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the Democratic Socialists [aka Communists] of America, Avila Chevalier had zero interest in answering questions on primary Election Day about her colorful history of archived, now-deleted posts. Those greatest hits include trashing Democratic leaders, demanding the abolition of police and prisons, opposing all deportations, and hurling various rhetorical grenades at U.S. institutions and foreign policy. Other than that, she's as sweet as apple pie.

Oh, wait. 

She also spearheaded anti-Israel protests at Columbia University and hung around with a campus crew that openly cheered "Death to America." Because nothing says "future congresswoman" than calling for the death of the nation in which you choose to run for public office.

The backlash reached new heights over her bizarre takes on Dominican nationalism. 

In old posts, she refused to fly the Dominican flag on her profile because, unlike calling for death to America, she considered nationalism "violent." This landed especially well in her heavily Dominican-American district, where locals began wondering if their candidate actually likes the culture she wants to represent.

When radio hosts tried to give her a chance to address the Dominican community before polls closed, Avila Chevalier pivoted straight into unity mode. She said she felt bad about her old tweets in a general, non-specific way and that it was time to come together and fight for the important things. Pressed on the flag controversy, she insisted she wanted to talk about "the issues impacting residents of New York 13" instead. When a third host kept pushing, she snapped that she was not going to sit there and be yelled at, declared she had already addressed it, wished everyone a beautiful day, yanked off her headphones, and marched out of the studio.

Truth being, she was scared to deal with her own words.

The old social media dumpster fire has been the central drama of the Democratic primary, with Avila Chevalier claiming the scrutiny distracts from the real issues and insisting she has evolved since posting all that stuff. She has apologized for some of the rhetoric, including shots at former Vice President Kamala Harris, but she still proudly defends her belief that "all deportations are wrong." Opponents have pointed out that this might be a problem for voters who prefer not having open borders as official policy.

In the end, none of it mattered much in one of America's bluest districts. The controversy simply tested whether voters would overlook a trail of radical statements in favor of fresh socialist promises. They did. Congratulations to the newest member of Congress. America surely cannot wait, and will get what they voted for . . . good and hard.

UPDATE: Montreal police officer, suspect, and civilian confirmed dead in Côte-des-Neiges shooting in a gun-free zone

Canada got another grim reminder Monday that violent crime does not stop at the border.

A deadly shooting in the highly Jewish area in Montreal's Côte-des-Neiges district left three people dead, including a police officer and a civilian, after a gunman opened fire from a hotel. Authorities say the suspect, armed with a long gun, was also killed during the incident.

Montreal Police Chief Fady Dagher confirmed that a second officer suffered serious injuries but remains in stable condition. Officials have not yet determined who fired the shot that killed the civilian.

The chaos began around 11:35 a.m. when someone called 911 to report a man sticking a firearm out of a window at the Hilton hotel. Responding officers quickly came under fire upon arrival.

"It’s a very, very sad day," Dagher told reporters. "It’s a nightmare."

The police chief noted that it has been 24 years since a Montreal police officer was killed in the line of duty. It isn't known exactly how many years or hours have gone by since Jews were targeted.

Authorities issued a citywide emergency alert urging residents to shelter in place, lock their doors, and stay away from windows while police secured the area. The alert remained active for several hours before being lifted shortly after 3 p.m.

Witnesses described a scene that rapidly descended into panic.

"When the first round of shots went off, we thought it was construction because there’s two big construction sites in the area," said local resident Brandon Benchimol-Elkaim. "In the park that’s in between the complex, parents were yanking their kids off of the park play structure and running. So something didn’t feel right."

Moments later, he said, the true nature of the situation became impossible to ignore.

"Right outside our window, we saw them going into the grocery store, guns drawn, hiding behind cars and SWAT team arrived shortly after. And since then, it’s been a ghost town out here."

The neighborhood, known for its dense mix of residential buildings, businesses, and diverse communities, was effectively locked down as police conducted their operation. Quebec transportation officials closed portions of the Décarie Expressway and other major routes, while significant sections of two Montreal metro lines were also shut down.

Public Security Minister Ian Lafrenière expressed sympathy for the victims and their families but declined to comment further on the police response, citing his previous service with the Montreal police force.

Investigators are still working to determine what motivated the attack. Officials believe the suspect acted alone and have found no evidence suggesting a second shooter was involved.

The investigation remains ongoing. 

The identity of the now dead shooter has not been made public.

Update: The killed civilian was identified as Rabbi Michael Moshe Mizrahi, a Jewish local and member of the local Chabad center, the Jewish organization announced.
