Kimberly Guilfoyle Vows To Fight Corruption Charges, Resigns At Trump’s Request

WASHINGTON—In a shocking development that leaves the entire geopolitical landscape forever altered, U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle has bravely stepped down after the White House politely requested she find a new hobby.

Guilfoyle’s departure follows a routine State Department inspector general investigation into minor administrative hurdles, which her legal team has dismissed as mere trifles. Despite the administration’s swift request for her exit, Guilfoyle immediately took to X to pledge that her devotion to the commander-in-chief remains stronger than a Greek olive branch.

“Serving as the United States Ambassador to Greece has been the honor of a lifetime,” Guilfoyle wrote. “These allegations are false, and I intend to vigorously defend my name, my reputation, and my integrity.”

During her historic tenure in Athens, the ambassador reportedly secured monumental agreements expanding American liquefied natural gas exports to Europe and single-handedly out-stared every statue in the Parthenon.

Even as officials moved to pack her bags, Guilfoyle maintained absolute loyalty toward President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, assuring the public that her enthusiasm for national greatness is entirely unbothered by mere bureaucracy.

“My gratitude and respect for President Trump and Secretary Rubio remain unwavering,” she stated, adding that “My commitment to President Trump, the America First movement, and the country I love will never end.”

White House insiders noted that the search for a replacement is already underway, with the administration hoping to find someone who can match Guilfoyle's signature volume in a crowded amphitheater.

The main allegations against her was reported by the Wall Street Journal, centering on claims that in July 2025, just prior to her being confirmed by the US Senate, she messaged a Trump donor, Eric Deters. She urgently asked that he wire $100,000 to pay her American Express bill in a way that "won't show up anywhere," while discussing help with his tax/legal issues and access to administration figures.

Deters has described it as a quid pro quo, said he did not pay the amount, and spoke out publicly about it (including plans to sue). Guilfoyle's attorney disputed the authenticity of the messages claiming she was owed money for speaking engagements and travel.

Other WSJ reporting has raised questions about her conduct in the role, including promoting certain Greek business interests/lobbyists, references to luxury stays or private travel, and other ethics concerns. The State Department’s inspector general has been looking into aspects of the matter, and congressional Democrats had requested information.

Guilfoyle, a former prosecutor, Fox News personality, and ex-wife of the execrable Gavin Newsom, was confirmed and sworn in as the first female U.S. ambassador to Greece in late 2025. Multiple outlets (CNBC, AP, Politico, NBC, CBS, etc.) are reporting the resignation request and her response as the end of her tenure.

The post is now vacant.
