Omar was just fine with the investigation, now karma steps in

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said in April that she would welcome any and all investigations into her personal history. On Monday morning, federal agents apparently decided to take her up on the offer, arriving at her Washington, D.C., home with a search warrant and a rather inconvenient interest in her immigration paperwork.

Omar quickly characterized the raid as a political hit job and another example of President Donald Trump “weaponizing” federal law enforcement. According to Fox News, investigators are examining immigration documents completed by Omar’s late father when the family arrived in the United States in 1995.

The investigation raises questions about a personal history that has attracted scrutiny for years, particularly Omar’s complicated marital timeline and allegations concerning her second husband. Whether those allegations establish any wrongdoing is a separate question, and one investigators will have to answer with evidence rather than political talking points.

Omar was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1982, the youngest of seven children. After losing her mother at age two, she fled Somalia’s civil war at age nine and spent four years in a refugee camp in Kenya. She arrived in the United States with her father in 1995 and became a naturalized citizen in 2000, at age 17.

Her journey to American citizenship is part of her public biography. The circumstances surrounding the paperwork filed on her family’s behalf are now reportedly part of a federal investigation. For a congresswoman who has made a career of commenting on American institutions, the prospect of having those institutions scrutinize her own records is an unwelcome change of scenery.

Then there is Omar’s marriage history, a subject that has generated years of headlines, allegations, and unanswered questions.

Omar first married Ahmed Hirsi, also known as Ahmed Aden, in a Muslim ceremony in 2002. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, she applied for a legal marriage license but did not complete a civil marriage. The couple had two children before separating in 2008. Since they had not legally married, no civil divorce was necessary.

In 2009, Omar married Ahmed Elmi, a British citizen who reportedly described himself as a “dirty dandy.” Reports have alleged that Elmi was Omar’s biological brother and that the marriage was arranged to help him obtain U.S. immigration status. Those allegations have never been conclusively established, and the absence of reliable birth records from Somalia’s civil-war period has complicated efforts to verify the claims.

The timeline only added to the controversy.

Omar reportedly ended her marriage to Elmi through a religious ceremony, leaving the legal status of that marriage unresolved. In 2012, she reunited with Hirsi, and the two had a third child. Omar and Elmi were legally divorced in 2017. In 2018, she legally married Hirsi.

In 2019, Omar legally divorced Hirsi. Several months later, she married political consultant Tim Mynett, who had worked on her congressional campaign before their marriage.

At this point, Omar’s marital history has enough plot twists to keep a daytime television writer employed. But complicated personal history and criminal conduct are not the same thing, and the distinction matters. Even if investigators were to establish that a marriage had been used to circumvent immigration law, that would not automatically prove every allegation circulating online.

The New York Post has reported that, even if a sham marriage involving Elmi were established, one possible consequence would be the State Department barring him from returning to the United States. That is a different matter from proving Omar committed a crime or violated the requirements for obtaining citizenship.

The current investigation reportedly concerns something potentially more consequential: the original immigration documents filed when Omar’s family entered the United States in 1995.

“If there’s enough evidence that she or [her father] lied on her immigration application to become a United States citizen, whether it was one time or several times, the Trump administration could initiate a denaturalization process that would strip her of her citizenship,” a top immigration official told The Post.

That is a serious allegation with potentially serious consequences. It is also a conditional statement, not a finding that Omar committed fraud. Any attempt to revoke her citizenship would require the government to establish the applicable legal grounds and satisfy the relevant evidentiary and procedural requirements.

The questions surrounding those original documents have also drawn attention to Omar’s father, Nur Omar Mohamed.

Mohamed served as a colonel in the Somali Army under Siad Barre, the socialist dictator who seized power in 1969 and introduced what he called “scientific socialism.” Mohamed is documented as having served during the Ogaden War in the late 1970s. Although forces on both sides of that conflict have faced allegations of war crimes and abuses, Mohamed has not been personally linked to those accusations.

Barre’s regime, meanwhile, became notorious for its brutal campaign against the Isaaq clan in the late 1980s. Between 1987 and 1989, government forces carried out a campaign widely described as genocidal, known as the Hargeisa Holocaust, in an effort to crush the Isaaq population and depopulate Somaliland. The atrocities included indiscriminate bombing, attacks on fleeing civilians, the use of land mines in civilian areas, the poisoning of wells, and sexual violence.

The precise date Mohamed left military service remains unclear, although some reports place the end of his service around the collapse of Barre’s regime in 1991.

His military background does not establish that he concealed anything on immigration forms. Nor does it establish that Omar knew of or participated in any alleged misrepresentation. But if investigators find that relevant information was omitted or falsified on documents submitted for the family, they will have to determine whether those omissions were material and whether they have any legal bearing on Omar’s citizenship.

That is the central question, not the political theater surrounding it.

Omar can call the raid politically motivated. The Trump administration can insist that the investigation is legitimate. Neither claim settles the matter. The documents, the evidence, and the law will have to do that.

For years, Omar’s critics have demanded answers about her immigration history and marriages. Now, according to reports, federal investigators are examining records that may help determine whether any of those concerns have a legitimate legal basis.

Omar once said she welcomed investigations. The government has reportedly begun one.

She is entitled to the presumption that allegations must be proved. The public is entitled to expect that immigration laws will be applied according to the same standards, regardless of whether the person under investigation serves in Congress.

If the records establish no wrongdoing, the investigation should reflect that. If they establish material misrepresentations, the government should follow the law.

Either way, the outcome should depend on evidence, not on who gets to label the investigation a political witch hunt first.

Feds Raid Ilhan Omar’s D.C. Home as Immigration Fraud Investigation Takes Unexpected Turn

Federal agents showed up at Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Washington, D.C., home early Monday morning, bringing an immigration fraud investigation into the Minnesota Democrat’s personal affairs and giving her another opportunity to accuse President Donald Trump of political persecution.

The Minnesota Democrat says the search is political intimidation, while federal investigators appear interested in paperwork that may be considerably less entertaining than her latest accusations against Trump.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents began the search around 6 a.m., with the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice involved in the operation. According to two sources familiar with the investigation, the probe concerns Omar’s immigration paperwork, which was completed by her late father when she was a child.

The Department of Justice confirmed that federal investigators had obtained legal authorization for the search.

"Today in the Washington, D.C., area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice. This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal investigation," a DOJ spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

The department subsequently confirmed that the investigation was "criminal" in nature.

Omar responded to the raid on X with the predictable enthusiasm of a politician who has just discovered that federal law enforcement can investigate members of Congress, too.

"I’m ok," she wrote.

"Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement." [Make no mistake, Ilhan Omar hates the United States and Israel.]

"For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns," she continued. "This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced."

Omar apparently believes the appropriate response to a federal investigation is to declare herself the victim of a political conspiracy before the public knows what investigators have found. Whether the evidence supports her interpretation remains to be seen.

The congresswoman has faced scrutiny over various controversies during her time in Washington, but the current investigation is reportedly focused on her immigration paperwork. President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, disclosed in mid-September that Omar was the subject of an ongoing "criminal" investigation, although he did not reveal its precise nature.

HSI, the investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, handles cases involving cross-border crime, human trafficking, drug smuggling, cybercrime and other international threats. Its investigators generally have more pressing concerns than providing political theater for cable news, making the DOJ's confirmation of a criminal investigation worth watching.

Omar’s financial disclosures have also attracted attention, producing figures that invite questions of their own.

In 2024, the congresswoman reported that her husband held assets valued between $6 million and $30 million. In her 2025 disclosure, however, the maximum reported value of their shared assets fell to $125,000.

That represents a staggering reduction of nearly $30 million from the previous year's upper estimate. The lower estimate of $20,000 in assets, combined with reported debt estimates ranging from $30,000 to $100,000, could suggest a negative net worth, depending on the actual figures involved.

The disclosures also listed separate debts for Omar and her husband, each reportedly ranging from $15,000 to $50,000. Her obligations included student loans, while her husband’s included credit card debt.

Omar has repeatedly declined to clarify the discrepancies in her financial disclosures, not to mention her alleged marriage to her brother.

To be clear, the financial reporting and the immigration investigation are separate matters, and the reported discrepancies do not establish criminal wrongdoing. The current investigation has not, based on the information publicly available in these reports, resulted in any announced charges.

Still, a congresswoman who has spent years denouncing political opponents, accusing the president of authoritarianism and portraying herself as a target of persecution now finds herself under federal scrutiny. She insists the investigation is an act of political intimidation. Federal authorities say they are conducting a criminal investigation.

The public will have to wait to learn what, if anything, investigators uncover.

For now, Omar is sticking to her familiar defense: Trump is the problem, the investigation is political, and she will not be silenced.

Federal investigators, meanwhile, appear interested in examining the paperwork rather than debating the congresswoman’s social media commentary. That may be the most consequential difference between the two sides of this developing story.

Democrats Scramble to Replace One Embarrassing Candidate With Guy Who Had Kids With His Second Cousin

[COUSIN] BANGOR, ME — The Democratic Party, ever the champions of normalcy and family values, has once again demonstrated its unmatched talent for candidate selection.

After Graham "HH" Platner withdrew from the Maine Senate race amid a rape allegation (which he called "categorically false"), party leaders tapped Troy Jackson as their shiny new replacement. A Maine Wire report soon revealed that Jackson and his high school sweetheart share the same great-grandparents, and the couple has two adult sons together.

But at least they aren't siblings like Ilhan Omar.

Jackson, a former state senator and failed gubernatorial candidate, was formally nominated at the Maine Democratic Party's U.S. Senate Nominating Convention earlier this month. The report noted that such relationships are not uncommon in northern rural Maine and remain perfectly legal, a detail that only heightened the internet's reaction.

Conservatives wasted no time celebrating the party's latest personnel decision."Can’t wait for Democrats to defend cousin marriage!," Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), posted on X.

"If you thought Platner was a freak - meet Troy Jackson," former White House press secretary Sean Spicer posted on X.

"WTF?! Maine’s new Democratic Senate candidate Troy Jackson is in a ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP with his COUSIN, and has TWO CHILDREN with her. THIS is the guy the Democrat Party swapped Graham Platner out for," conservative influencer Nick Sortor posted on X.

I have no idea WTF stands for but it sounds bad.

"The Democrats are having a REALLY tough time finding candidates who aren’t total freaks," Sortor added.

"Troy Jackson's 'partner' is his second cousin, according to genealogical records found in Maine. Which means his kids are also his third cousins. Who said Democrats were anti-family?" Drew Berkemeyer, a writer for the Daily Wire, posted on X.

In a post on X, Independent Women's Forum Senior Policy Analyst Inez Stepman wrote, "Second cousins seem like relevant information here. But it is funny that Dems keep selecting candidates who fit the vicious stereotypes they hold about rural or working-class people: beats women, hooks up with cousin, etc."

"It's truly hysterical how Democrats can't seem to find one normal dude to run for office," conservative commentator Greg Price posted on X. The Republican account on X also posted, "Wellness check on Maine Democrats."

The Jackson campaign responded by changing the subject, telling Fox News Digital: "Susan Collins will do anything to distract from the fact that she votes with Trump 96% of the time and has sold out working people in Maine. Personal attacks on Troy's family are shameful and desperate."

Jackson will face incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins on Nov. 3 as Republicans work to protect their 53-47 Senate majority. In the meantime, Maine Democrats continue their proud tradition of proving that when it comes to finding candidates free of personal baggage, they remain the gold standard of political incompetence.

Ilhan Omar Goes Full Ghost Mode When Asked About Massive Minnesota Feeding Scam She Helped Supercharge

She knows we know, but thinks she's untouchable

Rep. Ilhan Omar (Socialist-MN) had nothing to say when Fox News Digital asked her point-blank if she would cooperate with the investigation into Minnesota's massive "Feeding Our Future" scandal. The far-left lawmaker faces accusations of ties to those at the center of a scheme federal prosecutors say ripped off taxpayers for roughly $250 million. Yet when pressed on those connections, Omar went radio silent.

(H/T Fox News Digital)

"Did you ask Minnesota Democrats to block the subpoena for the investigation of Feeding Our Future on the state level?" she was asked in the halls of Congress on Monday. No response. She also blew off the follow-up: "Would you cooperate with that subpoena and provide documents if they request it here in the House Oversight Committee?"

After the story ran, Omar's office coughed up a statement to Fox News Digital denying any involvement.

"Any claim that I had knowledge of this scheme is flat-out false," Omar said. "The MEALS Act was signed into law by President Trump and passed with bipartisan support as part of a broader legislative package. Trump’s USDA Secretary set the regulatory framework during the rollout of the program. I have always championed feeding kids and will continue to ensure our children do not go hungry."

Omar continued, "The moment this fraud came to light, I immediately sent a letter to the USDA Secretary demanding answers and accountability. As I stated from the beginning, stealing millions of dollars under the guise of feeding hungry children to bankroll lavish lifestyles and extravagant expenses is reprehensible. I’m grateful that Aimee Bock and every individual involved in this abhorrent scheme are being held accountable for defrauding taxpayers and betraying vulnerable children."

Her MEALS Act, the 2020 COVID relief bill she sponsored, is widely viewed as a key link to the scandal. Republicans argue it supercharged the fraud by fast-tracking USDA waiver authority for meal sites and gutting basic safeguards.

Despite months of dodging questions and refusing to provide information on her documented connections to some of the convicted players, Omar continues to play coy.

The Minnesota House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee invited her to testify this month and requested documents related to the scandal. She missed the deadline, which led to a subpoena vote that fell short after Democrats blocked the GOP push. It needed six votes to pass and got only five.

"She didn't even respond, ghosted us," state Rep. Kristin Robbins, chair of the committee, told Fox News Digital back in April. The committee wanted communications showing how Omar pushed expanded access to federal child nutrition programs, including emails, texts, and meeting records with the Minnesota Department of Education and constituents. They also asked about her public promotion of a Minneapolis restaurant later tied to the program, including a Somali-language TV spot where she highlighted Safari Restaurant as a meal site.

Records of contact with Aimee Bock and dozens of other charged or implicated individuals were also requested. Bock, the nonprofit founder, is staring down a possible 50-year prison sentence."A lot of the sites were working directly with her, being that a lot of the operators were from the same Somali community," Bock said about Omar in a recent jailhouse interview with the New York Post. "There were a lot of people that had been reaching out to her office and staff, and I presume her personally, to work through some of those gaps with the waivers."

Just last week, the committee dropped an 84-page report slamming Gov. Tim Walz's administration for creating a "culture of tolerance" that let fraudsters loot billions in taxpayer funds. The findings followed two dozen hearings and hundreds of whistleblower tips about ignored warnings and oversight breakdowns.

An estimated $300 million in federal meal program fraud and up to $9 billion in Medicaid fraud were stolen, according to the report, far higher than initial figures.

It also points directly at Omar's MEALS Act for loosening anti-fraud protections in nutrition programs, making it much tougher to confirm whether kids were actually being fed.

In related news, sources confirm Omar is currently hard at work on new legislation titled the "No Questions Asked Feeding Freedom Act," which would replace all remaining oversight with strongly worded statements and inspirational Instagram posts.

Tlaib resolution recognizes ‘ongoing nakba,’ calls for ‘right of return,’ that is, the destruction of Israel

Her mouth is cavernous

The fact that Rashida Tlaib, an agent of the Palestinian jihad that is working for the destruction of Israel, sits as a member of the United States House of Representatives is a stark indication of how profound the rot in American politics has become, and how deeply the forces of jihad have managed to infiltrate the institutions of the republic. She does not recognize, of course, the elementary historical reality that the Arabs left Israel in 1948 because the Arab Higher Committee told them to do so.

The documentation for this is abundant and may be found in The Palestinian Delusion. Yet now she demands a so-called right of return, which this resolution explicitly includes. That would mean flooding Israel with millions of fake refugees, for under the unique and generous definitions employed by the United Nations even the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and beyond of those who left in 1948 count as refugees. The result would be the demographic destruction of the Jewish state and its transformation into a twenty-third Arab Muslim state. This resolution is in effect a call for Congress to endorse the ideology of those who attacked the United States on 11 September 2001.

US Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) on Thursday reintroduced a congressional resolution recognizing the 78th anniversary of what she described as the “ongoing nakba,” using the Arabic term for “catastrophe” deployed by Palestinians and anti-Israel activists to refer to the establishment of the modern state of Israel in 1948.

The real catastrophe is that the moment Israel became the Jewish State, the Islamic Middle East wanted to destroy it.

The resolution, introduced on the anniversary of Israel’s independence, accuses the Jewish state of carrying out “ethnic cleansing,” “apartheid,” and “genocide” against Palestinians, language that many pro-Israel lawmakers in Congress and advocacy groups strongly reject as inflammatory and inaccurate. Of course, those who make that claim are the perpetrators who make that blame. It seems like the world forgot what happened on October 7, 2023.

Anyway, the measure also calls for renewed US support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), an agency that employed Hamas terrorists and for that reason has faced mounting scrutiny from Israel and several Western governments over those observations.

In a statement announcing the resolution, Tlaib argued that the so-called nakba “did not end” with the Arab-Israeli war in 1948 and continues today through Israeli military operations and settlement expansion.

“War criminal Netanyahu and his cabinet have repeatedly threatened to ethnically cleanse the entire Palestinian population in Gaza, annex the land, and permanently occupy it. Today, they are extending these same threats towards southern Lebanon,” the anti-Semite congressperson said, referring to Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and military operations against US-designated terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah. “As we mark the 78th anniversary of the Nakba, we honor all of those killed since the ethnic cleansing of Palestine began and all those who have been forced from their homes and violently displaced from their land.”

Activists often invoke the term “nakba” when discussing the displacement of some 750,000 Palestinian Arabs following Israel’s War of Independence, many of whom left the nascent state for varied reasons, including that they were encouraged by Arab leaders to flee their homes to make way for the invading Arab armies. THEY WERE ENCOURAGED TO LEAVE ISRAEL BY ARAB LEADERS.

At the same time, about 850,000 Jews were forced to flee or expelled from Middle Eastern and North African countries in the 20th century, primarily in the aftermath of Israel’s declaring independence.

Tlaib’s disgusting resolution is co-sponsored by several prominent socialists, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Ilhan Omar (MN), Ayanna Pressley (MA), and Summer Lee (PA).

The resolution also calls for a so-called Palestinian “right of return,” a demand insisting that potentially millions of descendants of Palestinian refugees should be able to return to the land of Israel, a step that, according to proponents, would result in the abolition of the world’s only Jewish state.

While refugees are generally defined as those who flee a country out of credible fear of persecution, UNRWA uniquely defines Palestinian refugees to include all descendants of those who left the land, regardless of where they were born.

Am Yisrael Chai!

Walz's Minnesota: Million-Dollar SNAP Fraud Scheme In Governor's Backyard Sparks Outrage: 'Cruel Joke'

T. Tim Walz

In a shocking development that has left exactly zero people who have been paying attention to Minnesota even mildly surprised, authorities have uncovered a million-dollar food stamp fraud operation running right in Tim Walz's backyard, as if he was clueless.

The scheme, which authorities described as involving "a high degree of sophistication," apparently consisted of buying stuff at Sam's Club and Costco and then reselling it; truly the kind of criminal mastermindery that would make Ocean's Eleven look like a grocery run, and might actually eliminate Walz from suspicion for that reason.

Abdidwahid Mohamed, owner of the creatively named Minnesota Food Grocery LLC, allegedly racked up $1,141,082 in EBT payments using cards registered to other people. Investigators say they watched him make the purchases, followed him back to his store, and confirmed it all with surveillance and GPS. Many of the actual cardholders were either out of the country or insisted they never shopped at those stores. Shocking to think that such skulduggery exists in Minnesota.

"Mohamed received $1,141,082 in EBT payments," according to the complaint, which added that the plan "involved a high degree of sophistication or planning or occurred over a lengthy period of time."

Mohamed faces up to only 20 years in prison or a $100,000 fine if found guilty, penalties that in Minnesota probably come with a participation trophy and a strongly worded letter.

Minnesota Congressman Tom Emmer is demanding accountability from Governor Tim Walz amid the state's broader fraud woes, including a staggering $9 billion Medicaid probe. Emmer alleges Walz is either incompetent or complicit in the theft of taxpayer funds, highlighting what critics call a thriving culture of corruption. One thing for sure, if Walz is complicit, he's certainly not the mastermind.

"Minneapolis didn't become America's fraud capital by accident," Dalia al-Aqidi (a Republican running for Congress in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District against Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar) told Fox News Digital. "It was earned. This week, it's a grocer charged with running up $1.1 million in charges on other people's EBT cards. Next week, it will be something else, but the bill always lands on the Minnesotans who actually pay taxes."

Aqidi says that families tell her "affordability" is what "keeps them up night" and the "cruel joke is that the money is here to really make a difference for people."

"It is just lining the wrong pockets and paying for luxury cars and houses on the other side of the world. The fraudsters are only half the story. The other half are the people administering these programs, from the front lines all the way up to Ilhan Omar, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Governor Tim Walz. There has been talk about ending fraud in Minnesota for years. I am going to Washington to actually do it."

Two Republican lawmakers echoed the frustration. State Sen. Mark Koran called it "yet another example of why Minnesota is target number one for fraudsters."

"The sheer volume of welfare programs, combined with the inability of state agencies to detect obvious fraud is alarming. Once again, it was a private retailer, not the state, that uncovered this fraud scheme," Koran added, referencing the suspect being initially flagged by Walmart’s Global Investigation Team.

"All individuals involved, including the people that sold their EBT cards to Abdi Mohamed, have to be fully prosecuted," Koran said. People who come here to steal from hardworking Minnesota taxpayers deserve serious consequences.

State Sen. Michael Holmstrom kept it real: "This may be the laziest one yet."

"We had this guy, Abdi Mohamed, and he named his scam company 'Minnesota Food Grocery LLC.' They aren’t even trying, because they have been conditioned to believe there are no consequences."

The bust comes as part of a larger fraud scandal centered in Minnesota's social services programs, particularly within the Somali community, and a fresh Trump administration push against food stamp abuse.

"Since its inception, SNAP has helped our most vulnerable citizens afford the essential and nutritious food they need," Rollins and Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote in a Fox News op-ed in March. "At least, that is what the program is supposed to do.

"Over time, however, SNAP has been taken advantage of, allowing many to game the system and leaving millions of vulnerable Americans without healthy, nutrient-dense food options."

In related news, Minnesota officials continue to express bewilderment that when you create a massive, poorly supervised pile of free money, people occasionally treat it like a pile of free money. Walz could not be reached for comment, as he was reportedly busy checking the state couch cushions for another $9 billion.

Ilhan Omar Ghosts Minnesota Committee Probing Her Ties To Epic Feeding Our Future Fraud, Subpoena Fails In Predictable Fashion

MINNEAPOLIS — Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), refused to respond to a request from a Minnesota committee seeking more information on her ties to the massive fraud scandal in the state, prompting a failed subpoena vote on Tuesday, but the committee’s chair says more options exist.

The subpoena, which required a two-thirds committee vote in favor to pass, only got five out of the six votes needed despite the committee's Republican majority.

"We have reached out to Representative Ilhan Omar on multiple occasions, inviting her to testify and inviting and requesting documents," State Rep. Kristin Robbins, chair of the House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee, said ahead of the vote. "We have endeavored in multiple ways to get access to [information] because, as everyone knows, Representative Omar had had some role, whether inadvertent or not. She passed the MEALS Act in March of 2020, and that took the guardrails off the federal school nutrition program, which created the conditions for [fraud]."

"I do think the subpoena is important. This is one of dozens, if not hundreds of things we are investigating. We have had hundreds of whistleblower reports. They continue to come in weekly," Robbins added, noting she will continue to try to reach out to Omar's office to get cooperation. "Even though the committee will no longer have official hearings we will continue to investigate these whistleblower reports and webs of fraud."

Fox News Digital touched base with Robbins on Tuesday about possible next steps."They're fading," Robbins said about the committee’s options after a failed subpoena vote. "But I'll certainly talk to our friends in Congress to see if they would be willing to issue a subpoena. I don't know if they are, but they would have the same authority and it's still relevant to them because it's a federal program that's been swindled. So I don't know if they would be willing to do it, but it's worth asking."

Robbins added that the federal government has a "whole menu of legal options" given that Omar is a member of Congress.

"They have so many investigations going on, I don’t know where this falls on the priority list," Robbins said.

Last month, Robbins says the congresswoman "ghosted" the committee by failing to appear to testify at a hearing focused on the MEALS Act, a federal COVID-19 relief measure passed in 2020 and sponsored by Omar.

"Minnesotans and the Members of the House Fraud Prevention & State Oversight Committee were disappointed that you failed to appear before our committee to answer questions," Robbins wrote before asking Omar to turn over communications showing how she promoted expanded access to federal child nutrition programs, including emails, texts and meeting records with the Minnesota Department of Education and constituents.

The request also zeroed in on Omar’s public promotion of a Minneapolis restaurant that later became linked to the program. Robbins cited a Somali-language TV appearance in which Omar highlighted Safari Restaurant as a meal distribution site and asked for all communications related to the video and the restaurant’s participation.

Robbins is seeking records of any contact between Omar and a long list of individuals charged or implicated in the Feeding Our Future case, including nonprofit founder Aimee Bock and dozens of alleged co-conspirators.

The deadline for Omar to respond to the committee’s questions was Tuesday, May 5."It’s the same story every time," Robbins posted on X after the vote. "Fraud is committed, information is suppressed, and the dysfunction continues."

At press time, Omar's office had reportedly responded to the committee by sending a single emoji and a link to her latest GoFundMe for "fighting Islamophobia while totally not involved in any nutrition-related shenanigans."

Ilhan Omar's un-Islamic winery and what we know

Rep. Ilhan Omar (Squad-MN) claims that her alleged inflated net worth was due to an accounting mistake. If this indeed is the case, then Omar's judgment in who she hires is obviously so poor that she is not qualified to be a member of Congress. But if you believe any average accountant could make such an enormous accounting error, then you need to question your own judgment. It simply doesn't happen to that extent.

Earlier this year, Omar reported a net worth of around $30 million, which brought up the question of possible fraud. Then Nick Shirley investigated a bunch of Somali-led scams highlighting the infamous 'Learing Center' (or Learning Center for you spelling buffs) in Minneapolis. The 'Learing Center' received $1.9 million in 2025 via Minnesota's Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) and there are reports they received around $4 million total over prior years. It was Shirley who exposed the fraud as his investigation into the Somali-led scams brought attention to Omar's financial dealings.

Omar just dropped her latest financial disclosure bombshell, and holy moly, it turns out she and her hubby, [not the brother hubby] former political consultant Tim Mynett, somehow scraped together a net worth somewhere between a modest $6 million and a "whoa, nelly" $30 million by the end of 2024.

Nearly all of that cheddar comes from Mynett’s ownership in his two companies, which were worth a combined grand total of no more than $51,000 at the end of 2023. Lawmakers get to play the fun game of disclosing assets in vague ranges, so the exact size of Omar’s personal jackpot remains a delightful mystery. What we do know is that their net worth exploded by at least 3,500 percent in a single year. Nothing suspicious there, folks. Move along.

This miraculous cash avalanche might create a few awkward moments for the Minnesota Democrat, who spent February whining to Business Insider about a "coordinated right-wing disinformation campaign" that had the audacity to claim she’s worth millions. Omar dismissed any suggestion that she’s sitting on more than a few thousand bucks as "ridiculous" and "categorically false." She even hopped on X to taunt her critics: "maybe try checking my public financial statements and you will see I barely have thousands let alone millions."

Turns out Omar has her better half to thank for rocketing her straight into multimillionaire territory in 2024. Mynett’s California winery eStCru LLC and his venture capital outfit Rose Lake Capital pulled off financial miracles that would make even the most optimistic lottery winner blush. End of 2023? Combined stake worth no more than $51k, bank accounts with less than $700 between them, and the dynamic duo of Mynett and his partner, former DNC adviser Will Hailer, were getting sued by angry investors who claimed they’d been defrauded out of millions.

By the end of 2024? Mynett’s stake in the two firms had magically inflated to between $6 and $30 million, and he and Hailer settled those pesky lawsuits with cold, hard cash. The Washington Free Beacon has the receipts.

Mynett’s various business adventures have been a delightful recurring headache for Omar ever since the two tied the knot back in March 2020. They were both still married to other people when they first crossed paths, of course, but that didn’t stop them from starting up an affair while Mynett was raking in a cool $2.9 million from Omar’s campaign as her political consultant. That arrangement proved short-lived once the public started paying attention to all the cozy financial ties. By the end of 2020, Mynett wisely bailed on political consulting and pivoted with Hailer into the glamorous worlds of wine and venture capital. Because nothing says "fresh start" like leaving one ethically questionable gig for two more.

Omar "ghosted" MN hearing on her alleged fraud ties: lawmakers take action

Minnesota Republican lawmaker Kristin Robbins doesn't mess around. She is demanding answers from Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) after the serial controversy magnet failed to show up at a state hearing looking into her possible connections to the massive pandemic-era fraud scandal that is still making national headlines.

State Rep. Robbins, who chairs the House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee, fired off a formal letter to Omar on April 22. In it she roasted Omar, a woman who allegedly married her own brother, for blowing off the scheduled committee hearing she had been invited to attend and demanded a pile of documentation tied to the infamous "Feeding Our Future" investigation.

"Minnesotans and the Members of the House Fraud Prevention & State Oversight Committee were disappointed that you failed to appear before our committee to answer questions," Robbins wrote in the letter, obtained by Fox News Digital. The hearing zeroed in on the MEALS Act, that federal COVID-19 relief measure from 2020 sponsored by none other than Omar herself.

Even though Omar pulled her usual no-show routine, Robbins made it clear the committee still wants answers. They are now formally requesting records from Omar’s office along with responses to a list of pointed questions laid out in the letter.

Robbins wants to see communications showing how Omar pushed for expanded access to federal child nutrition programs. That includes emails, texts, and meeting records with the Minnesota Department of Education and various constituents.

The request also takes a hard look at her very public promotion of a Minneapolis restaurant that later popped up in connection with the program. Robbins pointed to a Somali-language TV appearance where Omar hyped up Safari Restaurant as a meal distribution site and demanded all communications related to that video and the restaurant’s involvement in the scheme.

That same video was played during Tuesday’s committee meeting while lawmakers dug into Omar’s ties to those in the Minneapolis Somali community linked to the fraud. Fox News Digital [and now Brain Flushings] has been all over this story for a while now.

Robbins is also seeking records of any contact between Omar and a lengthy list of people who have been charged or implicated in the Feeding Our Future case. That includes nonprofit founder Aimee Bock and dozens of alleged co-conspirators.

"She didn't even respond, ghosted us," Robbins told the outlet about the Democrat congresswoman ignoring the invitation to appear. "And her Meals Act is what created the conditions that allowed Feeding Our Future to happen."

When asked if Omar has ever bothered responding to any requests from the committee, Robbins replied, "No, we’ve sent multiple emails, multiple letters, nothing."

The letter further probes political donations Omar received from people who later got hit with charges in the case. It asks for "any and all" communications with those donors.

Robbins, who is running for governor of Minnesota, gave Omar until May 5 to cough up a written response and all the requested materials. That seems like plenty of time to get her act together.

This latest move is just another escalation in the Republican-led effort to get to the bottom of the Feeding Our Future scandal. Federal prosecutors say it involved the theft of hundreds of millions in taxpayer-funded child nutrition aid during the COVID panic. It sits inside a broader fraud disaster believed to total in the tens of billions.

Omar’s possible connections to this Minnesota mess are only part of the fun. She is also staring down a possible ethics investigation into her personal financial disclosures and fresh accusations, including some from Vice President JD Vance, that she committed immigration fraud. The evidence that she married her brother to get him immigration status into the country is pretty damning.

Just another Tuesday in the life of the congresswoman who never seems to run out of scandals along with her dislike for white men, Israel, and the good old USA.

Ilhan Omar's accountant's dog ate his worksheet, evidently

Ilhan Omar without makeup and sleep

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Anti-Semite-MN) announced she is not a millionaire after all and pinned the whole thing on a hilarious "major accounting error" once a congressional financial disclosure pegged her assets as high as $30 million and sparked awkward questions from Republicans and a congressional watchdog.

An amended filing reviewed by The Wall Street Journal revealed that the far-left so called Squad member and her husband's assets were actually somewhere between $18,004 and $95,000, which represented a pretty steep plunge from the earlier disclosure that had them sitting pretty between $6 million and $30 million.

"The amended disclosure confirms what we've said all along: The congresswoman is not a millionaire," Omar spokesperson comrade Jacklyn Rogers told the Journal, adding that the filing was corrected "as soon as the discrepancy was identified" [and reasonable accusations were made by Republicans who noticed her incredible new-found inexplicable wealth].

The revised disclosure arrived after the Office of Congressional Conduct politely asked for more information earlier this year, according to the Journal.

Omar's attorney explained in a letter to the watchdog that the wildly inaccurate filing was totally unintentional and simply the result of trusting those fancy accountants. "Perhaps it was a dog to blame who ate her accountant's worksheet," some on the left said in her defense.

"As the busiest of people, it is very common for members and their spouses to rely on learned professionals like accountants to make calculations and determinations that appear on public filings," the attorney wrote, according to the Journal. "While the error is of course unfortunate, there is nothing untoward and nothing illegal has occurred." It is not known whether or not her lawyer is associated with CAIR or any other untoward group.

The amended filing shows Omar reported between $102,503 and $1,005,200 in income in 2024 from assets she and her latest husband own, according to the Journal. Documentation attached to the attorney's letter showed $213,200 in distributions to her husband from his venture capital management firm and $3,000 from an un-Islamic winery.

A 2025 email between Omar's husband and his accountant valued the venture capital firm at $7.9 million and the un-Islamic winery at $1.5 million, though he owns roughly one-third of both businesses, according to tax documents cited by the Journal.

The updated disclosure also shows Omar has between $15,001 and $50,000 in student loan debt and a similar amount in credit card debt which she has not paid.

The massive discrepancy had already drawn sharp scrutiny from House Republicans, who wondered aloud how such an enormous swing in reported assets managed to sail through without anyone noticing.

In a February letter to Omar's latest husband, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) raised concerns about financial disclosures showing the value of two companies, eStCru LLC and Rose Lake Capital, had magically surged from tens of thousands of dollars in 2023 to as much as $30 million in 2024. The chances of that happening without anyone immediately noticing is about as likely as finding Don Lemon in bed with Rep. Omar.

Comer said the sudden increase "raises concerns that unknown individuals may be investing to gain influence," and requested financial records tied to the businesses.

Omar's office pushed back, describing Comer's request as "a political stunt" and part of a campaign "meant to fundraise, not real oversight," according to The Associated Press.

So it's a political stunt when the GOP notices what appears to be improprieties, but not when the shoe is on the other foot. Now that is what is known as politics.

Her most recent husband: definitely not her brother this time

A 2025 financial disclosure filing had previously listed Omar's latest husband's business interests in the millions, including an un-Islamic winery valued between $1 million and $5 million and a venture capital firm valued between $5 million and $25 million.

Those valuations were later revised in the amended filing, with the businesses listed as having no net value once liabilities were factored in, according to the Journal.

Omar, an anti-Semite originally from Somalia and member of the "Squad," has frequently clashed with President Donald Trump since first being elected in 2018 and has long been a target of Republican criticism because of her pro-Somalia/anti-American stance.

Trump has suggested that Omar benefited from Minnesota's sprawling welfare fraud scandal involving many people from the Somali community, a claim she has denied.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton weighed in on the amended filing, questioning how previously unreported liabilities somehow vaporized millions in reported assets:
"Ilhan Omar says her congressional financial reports have massive accounting error," Fitton wrote on X. She and her husband only worth 18k-86k, NOT $6 million-$30 million! Previously unreported 'liabilities' erase wealth!"

MN fraud scandal: 6th family member who met with Keith Ellison to plead guilty

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and AG Keith Ellison (D) face questioning over an alleged $9 billion fraud. Critics accuse them of a cover-up, diverting funds meant for vulnerable citizens. Imagine that, a pair of Democrats being accused of covering up fraud.

Yet another member of a family within Minnesota’s Somali community is expected to plead guilty on Thursday in the massive fraud scandal that has drawn national attention and prompted criticism of Attorney General Keith Ellison over a meeting he held with members of the family in question. Let me repeat: Ellison met with members of the family in which one guy will likely plead guilty of fraud.

Gandi Mohamed, 45, (Probably D) is expected to either plead guilty at a change of plea hearing scheduled for Thursday or choose to enter a plea of no contest, which would allow him to accept conviction and be sentenced without admitting guilt, according to court records. No contest is as good as pleading guilty, but sounds better.

Mohamed is the sixth member of his family who would be pleading guilty in the scheme prosecutors say fraudulently claimed to be serving meals while instead pocketing $14 million from the federal child nutrition program, Fox 9 Minneapolis reported.

Center of the American Experiment policy fellow Bill Glahn told Fox News Digital that "it’s good that he and his co-conspirators have all been convicted in the case, however, a courtroom trial would have been a useful exercise to show the public the scope and scale of the fraud."

The Mohamed family was present at the now infamous 2021 meeting between Ellison and members of the Somali community where would-be fraudsters could be heard asking the state's attorney general to help them secure more funding, before the conversation turned to campaign donations.

"The only way that we can protect what we have is by inserting ourselves into the political arena. Putting our votes where it needs to be. But most importantly, putting our dollars in the right place. And supporting candidates that will fight to protect our interests," one of the Somali community members says in the recording.

"That's right," Ellison responds.

Ellison has denied any wrongdoing regarding the recording, saying he was completely unaware of the fraudsters' crimes at the time of the meeting. [And if you believe that, you might be interested in a bridge I have for sale in Brooklyn]. The meeting occurred before any convictions in the case and before President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice had indicted anyone."I took a meeting in good faith with people I didn’t know and some turned out to have done bad things. I did nothing for them and took nothing from them," Ellison wrote in an April 2025 op-ed for the Minnesota Star Tribune.

Following that meeting, Gandi gave the maximum $2,500 campaign donation to Ellison that the attorney general returned to the Department of Justice in 2025.

"Our Attorney General, Keith Ellison, is not only looking the other way but doing so after taking donations from these very fraudsters," Republican Dalia al-Aqidi who is running for Congress in Minneapolis against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) told Fox News Digital. "This is a betrayal of every Minnesotan who trusted him with that office."

Al-Aqidi explained that the voters in her district are "furious" about the fraud scandal.

"Which is why I've rolled out a five-point plan to prevent fraud before it starts," al-Aqidi said. "This isn't just about taxpayers, it's about people who really need food and housing. Preventing fraud isn't complicated, it just takes the political will to stop this type of abuse. It's clear that this scheme is being used to buy votes, and that has to stop."

BREAKING: Eric Swalwell outed by the FEC on possible campaign funds misuse

Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has been exposed for using Campaign Funds to pay his wife for babysitting their kids, ages 8, 7, and 4.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings and reporting on Eric "Gasman" Swalwell show that his use of campaign funds for childcare: reimbursed him for at least $200,000 (some reports cite over $244,000) for childcare expenses between 2019 and 2025.

This is the highest amount spent on childcare by any House member in that period, which may imply expenses that may have included kids designer clothes, silk diapers, a lot of dining out at high-end restaurants, multiple trips to Disney Land, and three Lamborghini kiddy cars.

In recent gubernatorial campaign filings, the committee made three payments totaling $6,068 directly to his wife, Brittany Swalwell, labeled for "childcare." Uh-huh, sure. This is what campaign donors paid for and we're to believe Swalwell, and many other Capitol Hill dwellers, are as honest as the day is long?

The campaign has also made substantial payments to third-party babysitters/nannies (e.g., over $102,000 to one longtime nanny) and daycare providers, with some reimbursements going back to Swalwell himself.

Nannies are lining up everywhere in California for a job with Gasman.

FEC rules (established via advisory opinions, including one sought by Swalwell) allow campaign funds for childcare only when expenses are a "direct result of campaign activity,"  meaning they would not have been incurred otherwise (e.g., when the candidate travels for their own campaign and the spouse is unavailable).

The FEC has explicitly barred using funds for childcare during travel for other candidates' campaigns or at the request of foreign governments.

Critics, including campaign finance experts, have called the scale of spending (including post-election payments and reimbursements to himself or family) a "slippery slope" or potentially personal use of donor money, noting that childcare is inherently a personal expense. Watchdogs have filed complaints over post-election babysitter payments (e.g., ~$17,000 in late 2022).

Swalwell and his wife have a combined household income averaging over $444,000 annually (2021–2024), placing them in the top 5% of D.C.-area households. He earns a congressional salary of ~$184,000, and his wife has earned $200,000–$250,000 in various roles, such as babysitting and taking in wash. [She works her fingers to the bone.]

Swalwell has defended the practice as a "pro-family" policy enabled by FEC precedents that apply to other candidates as well (e.g., some Democrats like the execrable Ilhan Omar (MN) have also used campaign funds for childcare).

His campaign has stated the expenses tie to his schedule and that he is not a billionaire unlike some rivals.  These payments are disclosed in public FEC filings and have been the subject of multiple news reports and past complaints, though no final determination of illegality has been universally confirmed across all instances. The core controversy centers on whether all claimed "campaign-related" childcare truly qualifies under FEC standards versus routine family needs.

VP Vance makes fraud claim on Ilhan Omar: African nation calls for her extradition

An African nation is calling for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) to be extradited after Vice President JD Vance claimed during an interview that the lawmaker committed immigration fraud, after allegedly marrying her brother.

The Republic of Somaliland, a partially recognized state in the Horn of Africa, reacted in a post on X to the claim that Vance made in a podcast interview with conservative commentator Benny Johnson.

"Deportation? Please you’re just sending the princess back to her kingdom. Extradition? Say the word. . ." the post read.

In the interview, Vance spoke with White House immigration advisor Stephen Miller about potential legal action against Omar, saying, "We think Ilhan Omar definitely committed immigration fraud against the United States of America."

"We’re trying to look at what the remedies are," the Vice President said. "That’s the thing that we’re trying to figure out is what are the legal remedies now that we know that she’s committed immigration fraud, how do you go after her, how do you investigate her, how do you actually do the thing, how do you build a case necessary to get some justice for the American people?"

Omar has denied accusations from President Trump and the White House that she married her brother to enter the United States. In December, she called the accusations "bigoted lies," writing on social media that Trump was obsessed with her. Well, they're not bigoted just because she and her alleged bro-hubby are black, they're allegations that appear to have elements of evidence that she did marry him in order to bypass normal legal immigration routes.

"He needs serious help," Omar, a blatant anti-American wrote on X at the time. "Since he has no economic policies to tout, he’s resorting to regurgitating bigoted lies instead."

Again, aside from her melanin level, how is pointing out a possible crime bigoted?

Somaliland’s post about Omar, who is from Somalia, comes amid criticism over her opposition to the recognition of an independent Somaliland and her defense of Somalia’s territorial claims. Somaliland has acted as a self-governing territory since 1991, maintaining internal security and building its own democratic institutions.

While most in the international community, including the U.S., do not recognize Somaliland as an independent country, Israel became the first UN member state to recognize the self-declared state.

Ole Doc Abdallah speaks with Bibi

Somaliland president Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdallah on a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, Dec. 26. (Benjamin Netanyahu via X)Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced last year that Israel had established full diplomatic relations with Somaliland, describing the move as being in the spirit of the United States-brokered Abraham Accords.
