Walz's Minnesota: Million-Dollar SNAP Fraud Scheme In Governor's Backyard Sparks Outrage: 'Cruel Joke'

In a shocking development that has left exactly zero people who have been paying attention to Minnesota even mildly surprised, authorities have uncovered a million-dollar food stamp fraud operation running right in Tim Walz's backyard, as if he was clueless.

The scheme, which authorities described as involving "a high degree of sophistication," apparently consisted of buying stuff at Sam's Club and Costco and then reselling it; truly the kind of criminal mastermindery that would make Ocean's Eleven look like a grocery run, and might actually eliminate Walz from suspicion for that reason.

Abdidwahid Mohamed, owner of the creatively named Minnesota Food Grocery LLC, allegedly racked up $1,141,082 in EBT payments using cards registered to other people. Investigators say they watched him make the purchases, followed him back to his store, and confirmed it all with surveillance and GPS. Many of the actual cardholders were either out of the country or insisted they never shopped at those stores. Shocking to think that such skulduggery exists in Minnesota.

"Mohamed received $1,141,082 in EBT payments," according to the complaint, which added that the plan "involved a high degree of sophistication or planning or occurred over a lengthy period of time."

Mohamed faces up to only 20 years in prison or a $100,000 fine if found guilty, penalties that in Minnesota probably come with a participation trophy and a strongly worded letter.

Minnesota Congressman Tom Emmer is demanding accountability from Governor Tim Walz amid the state's broader fraud woes, including a staggering $9 billion Medicaid probe. Emmer alleges Walz is either incompetent or complicit in the theft of taxpayer funds, highlighting what critics call a thriving culture of corruption. One thing for sure, if Walz is complicit, he's certainly not the mastermind.

"Minneapolis didn't become America's fraud capital by accident," Dalia al-Aqidi (a Republican running for Congress in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District against Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar) told Fox News Digital. "It was earned. This week, it's a grocer charged with running up $1.1 million in charges on other people's EBT cards. Next week, it will be something else, but the bill always lands on the Minnesotans who actually pay taxes."

Aqidi says that families tell her "affordability" is what "keeps them up night" and the "cruel joke is that the money is here to really make a difference for people."

"It is just lining the wrong pockets and paying for luxury cars and houses on the other side of the world. The fraudsters are only half the story. The other half are the people administering these programs, from the front lines all the way up to Ilhan Omar, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Governor Tim Walz. There has been talk about ending fraud in Minnesota for years. I am going to Washington to actually do it."

Two Republican lawmakers echoed the frustration. State Sen. Mark Koran called it "yet another example of why Minnesota is target number one for fraudsters."

"The sheer volume of welfare programs, combined with the inability of state agencies to detect obvious fraud is alarming. Once again, it was a private retailer, not the state, that uncovered this fraud scheme," Koran added, referencing the suspect being initially flagged by Walmart’s Global Investigation Team.

"All individuals involved, including the people that sold their EBT cards to Abdi Mohamed, have to be fully prosecuted," Koran said. People who come here to steal from hardworking Minnesota taxpayers deserve serious consequences.

State Sen. Michael Holmstrom kept it real: "This may be the laziest one yet."

"We had this guy, Abdi Mohamed, and he named his scam company 'Minnesota Food Grocery LLC.' They aren’t even trying, because they have been conditioned to believe there are no consequences."

The bust comes as part of a larger fraud scandal centered in Minnesota's social services programs, particularly within the Somali community, and a fresh Trump administration push against food stamp abuse.

"Since its inception, SNAP has helped our most vulnerable citizens afford the essential and nutritious food they need," Rollins and Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote in a Fox News op-ed in March. "At least, that is what the program is supposed to do.

"Over time, however, SNAP has been taken advantage of, allowing many to game the system and leaving millions of vulnerable Americans without healthy, nutrient-dense food options."

In related news, Minnesota officials continue to express bewilderment that when you create a massive, poorly supervised pile of free money, people occasionally treat it like a pile of free money. Walz could not be reached for comment, as he was reportedly busy checking the state couch cushions for another $9 billion.

Minnesota's BCA removes itself from the ICE involved shooting

In a move that may involve a federal power grab, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has pulled out of investigating the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer during an enforcement operation in south Minneapolis.

The state agency announced it had "reluctantly withdrawn" after being shut out by the FBI from accessing crucial evidence needed for a "thorough and independent" probe.

Superintendent Drew Evans laid it out plainly in his statement. Just the day before, "after consultation with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI, it was decided that the BCA Force Investigations Unit would conduct a joint investigation with the FBI" into Good's death.

But then the rug was pulled. "Later that afternoon, the FBI informed the BCA that the U.S. Attorney’s Office had reversed course: the investigation would now be led solely by the FBI, and the BCA would no longer have access to the case materials, scene evidence or investigative interviews necessary to complete a thorough and independent investigation," Evans said.

"Without complete access to the evidence, witnesses and information collected, we cannot meet the investigative standards that Minnesota law and the public demands," he added. "As a result, the BCA has reluctantly withdrawn from the investigation. The BCA Force Investigations Unit was designed to ensure consistency, accountability and public confidence, none of which can be achieved without full cooperation and jurisdictional clarity."

This comes as DHS Secretary Kristi Noem unloaded on local authorities while speaking to reporters. "I'd like to know where they've been and why they're not out on the streets investigating all of these people that are harassing and inciting violence on law enforcement officers right now."

"They're allowing the situation to be volatile," Noem also said. "They're not doing their work. They haven't for years. And maybe they should get to work a little bit on the unprecedented fraud that we've seen in Minnesota and in Minneapolis by people that stole from American citizens and diverted funds away from vulnerable people and programs and services that they needed and put it into their own pockets. Minnesota is a train wreck."

[In truth, the left in general has demonized ICE and the feds to where they are seen as "Nazis" and "anarchists," so it's no wonder that agents are being violently attacked. I blame the left for Good's death and I believe from what was shown on the videos that the ICE officer was within the law to defend himself. It matters not what Ms. Good's intentions were when she began to drive toward the officer; it's the officer's perception of danger that legally matters.]

Anyway, Evans pushed back, insisting "We expect the FBI to conduct a thorough and complete investigation and that the full investigative file will be shared with the appropriate prosecutorial authorities at both the state and federal levels."

"The BCA remains fully committed to our partnerships to build public trust in use of deadly force investigations. If the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI were to reconsider this approach and express a willingness to resume a joint investigation, the BCA is prepared to reengage in support of our shared goal of public safety in Minnesota," he added.

The shooting went down amid an ICE operation, with DHS claiming agents were making arrests when Good had been impeding the arrests ICE was making on illegal alien Somalis and others, and then she attempted to use her vehicle as a weapon, forcing an agent to fire in self-defense. 

Good was hit in the head and pronounced dead, while the agent involved remains unidentified.

I don't particularly like the idea of BCA being pushed out of the investigation, and I hope the FBI will make a full and honest assessment and conclusion of the case. I believe they will, but they need to be as transparent as possible.

MN manhunt is over: who's the assassin who shot lawmakers?

The double murder of Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark Hortman has left the Land of 10,000 Lakes reeling, and the arrest of Vance Luther Boelter, the prime suspect, only deepens the mystery. This is a tragedy and a political lightning rod. 

The details coming out about Boelter are raising more questions than answers.

Boelter, 57, was nabbed after a two-day manhunt, accused of gunning down the Hortmans and attempting to kill State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette. According to Democrat possibly gay Gov. Tim Walz and law enforcement, this wasn’t random; it was political. Boelter allegedly had a hit list targeting Democratic politicians and abortion rights activists, including groups like Planned Parenthood. Not surprisingly, the intended murders would not have stopped the murdering of the unborn, but Boelter is probably mentally ill and unable to make that analysis.

So, who is this guy? Boelter’s a Minnesota native from Green Isle, a small farming town of about 600 souls, according to the Star Tribune. 

He has a background that sounds like it could’ve come from a Norman Rockwell painting with a twist: evangelical Christian college in Dallas, degree in practical theology (1990), followed by a bachelor’s in elective studies from St. Cloud State (1996). Boelter was ordained as a minister in 1993, and spent time as a missionary in central Africa, teaching farming in the Democratic Republic of Congo “on my own dime,” as he put it. 

He and his loving wife Jenny, who runs their small security firm, Praetorian Guard Security Services, LLC, raised four daughters and a son. Neighbors called the alleged killer friendly but private, and one said they “would have never expected anything like this.” Isn’t that always the way--it's always the quiet ones, right?

But here’s where it gets murky. Boelter allegedly used a company vehicle and uniform to pose as a cop during the shootings. His wife was detained after being found with a wad of cash and passports. 

Then there’s his political footprint. 

Former Gov. Mark Dayton, a Democrat, appointed Boelter to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board in 2016, a position Tampon Tim Walz re-upped in 2019. These are unpaid roles, and a board member defensively noted in the spirit of Sergeant Schultz from Hogan's Heroes, that he “did not interact with the governor on a regular basis.” 

In a 2020 state report, Boelter claimed “no party preference,” but friends paint a different picture: a “Devout Christian,” [except for the murder part] conservative, and Trump rally regular who registered as a Republican in Oklahoma back in 2004.

David Carlson, a friend of over 50 years, said Boelter was “staunchly against abortion” and “thought it [abortion] was murder,” sort of like what he did to the lawmakers.

A 2023 sermon video shows him lamenting that the U.S. is in a “bad place” spiritually because “people don’t know what sex they are” and churches aren’t vocal enough against abortion. Minnesota AG Keith Ellison confirmed Boelter’s writings named him and other Democrats, though the full manifesto hasn’t been made public. Carlson also pegged him as an ardent Trump supporter, so somehow the shootings are going to be President Trump's fault, not the mentally ill alleged shooter.

Connect the dots, and you’ve got a guy with strong ideological leanings, but the why and how of his alleged rampage are still fuzzy.

The morning of the shootings, Boelter sent chilling texts to friends: “I love you guys, I made some choices… I’m going to be gone for a while. May be dead shortly.” He added, “I wish it hadn’t gone this way.” 

To his fabulous wife, he texted, “Words are not going to explain how sorry I am for this situation.” 

He presciently paid four months’ rent in advance, suggesting he knew the endgame, whether that meant death or capture. After fleeing, he left a confession letter to the FBI in his vehicle, admitting he was “the shooter at large in Minnesota.” 

That’s not exactly the work of a mastermind covering his tracks. When you consider that he apparently holds human life sacred, as we see with his anti-abortion stance, he took two lives and attempted to take many more. That's sick.

Boelter is now in federal custody after a brief stint in Hennepin County jail on $5 million bail, with a public defender appointed. Early speculation ran wild as some thought he was a Democrat angry over votes on healthcare for illegal immigrants (Hortman voted for it, Hoffman against repealing it). That theory’s looking shaky, given the hit list and his conservative bent. 

For now, law enforcement says he acted alone, but they’re digging for possible accomplices, while Democrats are probably preparing impeachment documentation against Trump for his role in the shootings.

This case is a powder keg. A Trump-supporting, anti-abortion ex-missionary with a security company and a hit list? It’s the kind of story that fuels endless X threads and cable news shouting matches. 

But let’s stick to what we know: two people are dead, two more narrowly escaped, and Boelter’s motives, while politically tinged, are still a puzzle. Was he a lone wolf driven by ideology, or is there more to this? The maximum sentence if guilty is the death penalty. Stay tuned, because this story’s far from over.

ICE captures illegal alien wanted for allegedly killing mother in DUI crash

Folks, brace yourselves for another gut-punch from the open-borders crowd. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) finally nabbed an Ecuadorian illegal immigrant in Minnesota on Friday, a guy who’s staring down vehicular homicide charges. 

Back in August, German Adriano Llangari Inga, allegedly hammered with a blood alcohol level “twice the legal limit,” plowed through a family, killing Victoria Eileen Harwell, a Minnesota mom, and injuring her teenage daughter and sister. That’s according to DHS and local news reports. 

Here’s where it gets infuriating. 

Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office had the illegal alien in their clutches on May 10 for an outstanding warrant. Did they hold him? Nope. They let him waltz out on May 13, completely ignoring ICE’s detainer request that very same day. 

This wasn’t their first incident where they ignored the law. 

In August, right after the crash, ICE slapped another detainer on him. Hennepin County’s responded by flipping a middle finger to federal law enforcement, citing some state Attorney General guidance that they “cannot lawfully hold individuals in custody based solely on an administrative detainer issued by the Department of Homeland Security or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).”

Let that sink in. An illegal alien who should be deported, kills a mom, allegedly drunk as a skunk, and the county’s like, “Sorry, our hands are tied.” Their official statement: “If a judicially-signed warrant is presented to HCSO, ICE will be notified when it becomes the holding agency. In the absence of such a warrant, individuals must be released once all criminal charges or holds have been resolved. HCSO is committed to working with federal and local partners and honoring the constitutional rights of all individuals.” 

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin didn’t mince words: “Despite a lack of cooperation from local Minnesota authorities, ICE arrested criminal illegal alien German Llangari Inga. This criminal illegal alien has been evading prosecution for vehicular homicide that resulted in the death of Minnesota mom, Victoria Eileen Harwell.” 

Of course, McLaughlin is right. Hennepin County dropped the ball not once, but twice, ignoring ICE’s detainer requests like it’s just another Tuesday. “Despite Hennepin County refusing to honor this criminal illegal alien’s detainer TWICE, ICE officers tracked him down and removed this criminal from Minnesota’s streets,” McLaughlin added. “Tim Walz should be thanking ICE, not using despicable rhetoric. Remember sanctuary politicians are fighting for criminal illegal aliens. President Trump and Secretary Noem are fighting for the victims of illegal alien crime, like Eileen Harwell.”

This guy’s rap sheet with immigration is a mess, too. ICE says he first showed up in June 2016, got detained by Border Patrol, slapped with an expedited removal order, and tossed into deportation proceedings. Yet, here he was, still roaming free until Friday. 

The Trump White House called out Minnesota’s leaders earlier this month when this guy was still on the lam. Alex Pfeiffer, White House Principal Deputy Communications Director, laid it bare: “An illegal immigrant drove drunk, killed an innocent mother, and is now on the run because Democrats didn’t do their most important job: protect their constituents.”

This is what happens when sanctuary policies coddle criminals over citizens. A mother is dead, a family’s shattered, and local authorities are playing legal gymnastics to dodge accountability. Thank God ICE stepped up, but why does it have to be this hard to keep our streets safe?
