A lot of Trump insiders delighted Noem was canned

Joy, celebration, and even happy tears swept through Department of Homeland Security agency offices on Thursday afternoon as word came down that President Donald Trump had finally removed Secretary Kristi Noem from her post.

Trump administration insiders, including senior DHS officials, told the Washington Examiner they were stunned by the president's sudden decision to replace Noem at the helm of the third-largest federal department. This came after several months of scandal and relentlessly negative press.

But let's be real: the shock didn't last long. Relief and outright joy quickly took its place among those who had worked under Noem and even alongside her adviser, special government employee Corey Lewandowski.

“People in the office are actually crying out of happiness,” said one person.

Noem had served in her post for more than 13 months. She helped the White House carry out its mass deportation operation. She was frequently in front of the cameras, visiting DHS employees nationwide and starring in flashy social media videos. But behind closed doors, senior officials in Washington and in the field said her team made their jobs incredibly difficult.

“We’ve seen fake news and calls for resignation. I usually sympathize with the principle and instinctively, and actually, know the stories of their behavior are overstated or inaccurate. I cannot say that today,” a senior DHS official wrote in a text message Thursday afternoon. “Her actions have led to the reputational loss of the DHS. Her continued hobbling of the component heads leads to more negativity regarding law enforcement pros. I suspect this is hard for POTUS, he deserves better!”

Another source, a senior administration official, at first responded with an emoji of a smiling face with a halo, suggesting pure joy at the announcement.

That official pointed out that Lewandowski, though a special government employee legally bound to work fewer than 130 days per year, played a significant role in day-to-day operations across DHS. Lewandowski’s future remains to be seen, but all who spoke with the Washington Examiner were hopeful that he would depart along with Noem.

“The leaders of CBP and ICE will be able to do their job without constant interference and harassment by Corey Lewandowski,” the official wrote in a text message, optimistic that Lewandowski would also depart soon.

In January, the Washington Examiner was first to report that Noem and Lewandowski were waging an internal campaign to force Trump’s hand-picked commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Rodney Scott, to resign. This was because Scott had pushed back over the DHS’s aggressive approach to deportations and Lewandowski’s legal authority to continue working.

Sources said the lengths that the two took to push Scott toward the exit were “evil.” They even forced his top staff members to take random jobs across the department in various parts of the country to make his work unpleasant. Noem and Lewandowski were said to be eyeing Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks to replace Scott, though Scott has refused to resign.

Noem and Lewandowski had also tapped Border Patrol’s El Centro, California, chief Greg Bovino to singlehandedly lead Border Patrol operations in the interior of the country, assisting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

After descending on several cities in mid-2025 through early 2026, the operations had devolved into a chaotic state in Minneapolis. Noem was forced to remove Bovino from his job overseeing the at-large operations as public support in polls declined swiftly following the fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens.

White House border czar Tom Homan was dispatched to Minneapolis for several weeks. He has since steered the operation into a single, focused effort that targets specific violent illegal immigrants, not approaching or arresting illegal immigrants in public. Homan, the former acting director of ICE, also streamlined one chain of command for ICE operations, aided by other federal agencies.

Given Lewandowski’s heavy-handedness in immigration operations behind the scenes, the second person was doubtful that Lewandowski would depart.“Corey will endure, and he should be investigated and condemned for his malicious influence,” the official wrote.

A fourth person, a senior DHS official, said Lewandowski “should be gone too, but it wouldn’t hurt for some folks to ask openly and make sure that happens!”

A fifth person, a former senior official, stated in a text message, “Hopefully we have seen the last of Corey,” adding that “he is not a good person.”

In addition, Noem has accumulated a mountain of personal and professional problems in recent months. These ranged from her department’s issuance of noncompeted contracts, an alleged extramarital affair with Lewandowski, her portrayal of events of two police-involved shootings in Minnesota, and other concerns that lawmakers voiced in oversight hearings this week.Democrats, even some Republicans, on the House and Senate’s judiciary committees grilled Noem over the allotment of a $220 million DHS contract for advertisements that prominently featured the secretary.

Trump was upset Wednesday and Thursday over Noem’s claim on Capitol Hill that she had discussed the massive contract with him and had his support for moving forward with the expenditure, Punchbowl News reported. Hours later, Trump posted on Truth Social that Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) would replace Noem and that Noem would move into a new administration position.

The DHS did not respond to a request for comment on when Noem will officially depart the department, but Trump said Mullin will step in as her replacement on March 31.

Noem will lead a Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, a new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere slated to be rolled out in Doral, Florida, this weekend, according to Trump.Look, this is the kind of shake-up that conservative voters have been waiting for in the second Trump term. Noem's tenure was a mess from the start, riddled with drama, alleged affairs, shady contracts, and internal sabotage that undermined the very border security mission the administration promised. The tears of joy in those DHS offices say it all: finally, someone is clearing out the dead weight so the real pros can get back to deporting criminals and securing the border without the constant interference. Trump deserves better, and so do the American people. This move is long overdue.

Minnesota's BCA removes itself from the ICE involved shooting

In a move that may involve a federal power grab, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has pulled out of investigating the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer during an enforcement operation in south Minneapolis.

The state agency announced it had "reluctantly withdrawn" after being shut out by the FBI from accessing crucial evidence needed for a "thorough and independent" probe.

Superintendent Drew Evans laid it out plainly in his statement. Just the day before, "after consultation with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI, it was decided that the BCA Force Investigations Unit would conduct a joint investigation with the FBI" into Good's death.

But then the rug was pulled. "Later that afternoon, the FBI informed the BCA that the U.S. Attorney’s Office had reversed course: the investigation would now be led solely by the FBI, and the BCA would no longer have access to the case materials, scene evidence or investigative interviews necessary to complete a thorough and independent investigation," Evans said.

"Without complete access to the evidence, witnesses and information collected, we cannot meet the investigative standards that Minnesota law and the public demands," he added. "As a result, the BCA has reluctantly withdrawn from the investigation. The BCA Force Investigations Unit was designed to ensure consistency, accountability and public confidence, none of which can be achieved without full cooperation and jurisdictional clarity."

This comes as DHS Secretary Kristi Noem unloaded on local authorities while speaking to reporters. "I'd like to know where they've been and why they're not out on the streets investigating all of these people that are harassing and inciting violence on law enforcement officers right now."

"They're allowing the situation to be volatile," Noem also said. "They're not doing their work. They haven't for years. And maybe they should get to work a little bit on the unprecedented fraud that we've seen in Minnesota and in Minneapolis by people that stole from American citizens and diverted funds away from vulnerable people and programs and services that they needed and put it into their own pockets. Minnesota is a train wreck."

[In truth, the left in general has demonized ICE and the feds to where they are seen as "Nazis" and "anarchists," so it's no wonder that agents are being violently attacked. I blame the left for Good's death and I believe from what was shown on the videos that the ICE officer was within the law to defend himself. It matters not what Ms. Good's intentions were when she began to drive toward the officer; it's the officer's perception of danger that legally matters.]

Anyway, Evans pushed back, insisting "We expect the FBI to conduct a thorough and complete investigation and that the full investigative file will be shared with the appropriate prosecutorial authorities at both the state and federal levels."

"The BCA remains fully committed to our partnerships to build public trust in use of deadly force investigations. If the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI were to reconsider this approach and express a willingness to resume a joint investigation, the BCA is prepared to reengage in support of our shared goal of public safety in Minnesota," he added.

The shooting went down amid an ICE operation, with DHS claiming agents were making arrests when Good had been impeding the arrests ICE was making on illegal alien Somalis and others, and then she attempted to use her vehicle as a weapon, forcing an agent to fire in self-defense. 

Good was hit in the head and pronounced dead, while the agent involved remains unidentified.

I don't particularly like the idea of BCA being pushed out of the investigation, and I hope the FBI will make a full and honest assessment and conclusion of the case. I believe they will, but they need to be as transparent as possible.

Illegal Immigrant Tour Bus Driver With New York License Accused Of Causing Fatal Wreck

Another Deadly Crash Courtesy of Biden's Border Disaster and Sanctuary State ShenanigansFolks, here we go again. Yet another illegal alien handed a commercial driver's license in a blue sanctuary state ends up behind the wheel of a massive vehicle, and an innocent American pays the ultimate price. This time, it's a Chinese illegal immigrant who somehow scored a New York CDL and allegedly plowed his tour bus into traffic in Tennessee, killing a 31-year-old trucker while glued to a video on his phone.

Chinese illegal immigrant Yisong Huang, 54, allegedly killed a 31-year-old truck driver and injured several others in Tennessee on December 9 while he was distracted by a video on his phone, according to the New York Post. And yes, this is just the latest in a disturbing wave of fatal wrecks involving illegals piloting big rigs and buses.

"Far too many innocent Americans have been killed by illegal aliens driving semi-trucks and big rigs. And yet, sanctuary states around the country have been issuing illegal aliens commercial driver’s licenses. The Trump Administration is ending the chaos," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement regarding the latest crash.

"The brave men and women of ICE are working nonstop to get criminal illegal aliens out of our communities and off our roads."

Turns out, after the smash-up, Huang bombed a basic English proficiency test, the kind that's federally required for a CDL. Huang slithered across the border illegally back in 2023 amid that massive wave of Chinese migrants pouring through Mexico. Border Patrol caught and released him anyway, and the Biden crew hooked him up with a work permit and Social Security card. Fast-forward, and New York's DMV hands him a license on April 11, 2025, after he flashes those federal docs. The state insists it was all above board, but the chances of that being true are equal to the chance of getting hit by a boat in Times Square.

With these crashes piling up, the Trump team is finally cracking down hard on states doling out CDLs to illegals, plus tightening testing rules, like actually enforcing that English-only mandate. A federal audit just exposed that over half of New York's CDLs were issued illegally, per the DOT, so now they're threatening to pull about $73 million in funding from New York unless they clean house.

Experts have laid the blame squarely on the Biden years, and his autopen, when work permits were dished out like joints at a Hunter Biden pool party,  paired with sloppy CDL testing oversight. Don't forget the third-party testing sites that rubber-stamp these things."There's no good checks and balances, to be perfectly honest with you," Lewie Pugh, Executive Vice President of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, had previously told conservative outlet, The Daily Wire. 

"A lot of states allow third party testing to do the CDLs and I would say that’s how most of these people get through," Pugh said.

Illinois justice system leaks like a sieve

Here's your daily dose of "sanctuary city" insanity, brought to you by the People's Republic of Illinois. 

While the rest of the country is trying to get dangerous illegal aliens off the streets, Governor Jabba the Hutt (D-IL) and Chicago's own Brandon "Let's Defund Everything But Illegal Aliens" Johnson have apparently decided that child rapists and murderers deserve a second, or third, or fourth chance to roam free. ICE just dropped a letter that ought to make every law-abiding Illinois resident's blood boil. 

Since January 2025, the Land of Lincoln has released a jaw-dropping 1,768 criminal illegal aliens who had active ICE detainers. You know, the little piece of paper that says, "Hey, local jail, hold this guy so we can deport him." But no, Illinois said "catch and release" is their new state fish., and these aren't jaywalkers or litterbugs. We're talking:

Attempted murder
Aggravated sexual assault
Aggravated kidnapping
Predatory criminal sexual assault of a child (yes, you read that right)
Child abduction
Multiple homicides

Todd Lyons, the acting ICE director, was blunt about the problem: "These offenders should be swiftly removed from the United States … and not be returned to our streets to wreak havoc on law-abiding citizens."

Instead, Illinois Democrats are basically rolling out the red carpet: "Welcome back to the neighborhood, here's your get-out-of-jail-free card!" It's suicidal for everyone except those who run this s**t show. 

There are still another 4,015 criminal aliens sitting in state and local custody with pending detainers, including 51 tied to homicides and over 800 sexual-predatory offenses, who could be sprung any day thanks to Governor "Pass the Gravy" Pritzker and Johnson's open contempt for federal law.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem showed up in Illinois on August 8 and torched the dynamic duo to their faces. Good for her. Someone had to say it out loud, but what effect it will have is probably nil. 

Lyons closed his letter with the question every taxpayer in Illinois deserves an answer to: Is the state going to "change course or continue releasing violent offenders who may otherwise walk the streets of Illinois again?"

It's time the Illinois government stop treating ICE detainers like they're suggestions on a Chinese takeout menu and instead put public safety ahead of their woke virtue-signaling. But don't hold your breath hoping Pritzker is suddenly going to grow a spine underneath all that adipose tissue. The bulbous billionaire heir and his light-on-crime mayor would rather let another child get assaulted than admit Trump-era immigration enforcement had a point because it's actually working in places other than Illinois.

Illinois taxpayers, enjoy the "sanctuary" you voted for. The rest of us will be over here praying we don't end up on the wrong side of one of these monsters the state just set loose.

ICE deports MS-13 leader who tried to 'game our immigration system' under Biden, DHS says

Oh, look at this, another shining example of why the Biden-Harris open-border circus was the greatest gift ever handed to MS-13 on a silver platter.

Meet Wilmer Alexy Garcia-Manzanarez, proud MS-13 "terrorist gang leader" wanted for murderer back in El Salvador. He was deported three times before Biden's crew decided, "Nah, let’s keep this charmer around," because nothing says "compassionate immigration policy" like giving a violent gangbanger with an outstanding murder warrant yet another bite at the American apple.

Here's the DHS laying it out plain:

"The Biden administration let this MS-13 gang member and wanted murderer claim fear of returning to El Salvador despite having a final order of removal and three prior deportations. Of course, a wanted murderer does not want to return to his country to face justice for his crimes," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

And then the money line: "Thanks to President Trump and Secretary Noem, this criminal illegal alien is OUT of our country," she added. "The days of the world’s criminals indefinitely remaining in our country are over."

Cue the angelic choir and harp strings.

This walking felony résumé illegally strolled across the Canadian border in 2001 (yes, the northern one, because why not make it a bipartisan border failure?), got caught, got released, got ordered removed, then treated our immigration laws like a revolving door at Macy's. Three deportations between 2007 and 2012, then he waltzes back in for a fourth illegal entry because, hey, fourth time’s the charm, right?

While he was here enjoying Biden's catch-and-release spa treatment, he racked up burglary, menacing with a weapon, DUI, property damage, driving without a license, basically the full Central American gangster starter kit.

But fear not, patriots. On November 3, 2025, this scumbag was finally stuffed onto a plane and shipped back to El Salvador, where I'm sure President Bukele has a lovely concrete suite waiting for him in CECOT with the rest of the Tren de Aragua and MS-13 alumni.

Moral of the story? Eight years of Democrat "asylum for everyone who can spell the word fear" nonsense almost turned us into the world’s largest halfway house for murderous illegal aliens. Thank God that nightmare is over.

ICE busts illegal Moldovan alian convicted of torture, murder via fenestration from 9th floor

Oh, joy. In a plot twist that even M. Night Shyamalan couldn't dream up, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has finally rounded up Victoria Sorocean, a Moldovan illegal alien and convicted killer whose idea of a good time apparently involved turning someone into a human piñata before yeeting them out a ninth-floor window. 

Victoria Sorocean was taken into custody in Los Angeles on Nov. 4 by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after authorities learned she had been convicted of premeditated murder with exceptional cruelty in 2013, ICE told Fox News on Tuesday.

According to DHS, Sorocean and an accomplice tortured their victim inside an apartment in Chisinau, Moldova, beating the person with a stick and electrical cable before throwing the victim out a ninth-floor window.

She was sentenced to 17 years in prison but fled the country to avoid serving her sentence. Smart move, Victoria, because nothing says "commitment issues" like dodging a Moldovan slammer by hopping a flight to the land of the free... and apparently the home of the thrown.

Sorocean was first arrested by ICE on Jan. 10, 2020, under the first Trump administration, but she later filed multiple legal appeals and asylum claims to delay removal, DHS said.Officials said she was ultimately released back into the U.S. in 2022 under the Biden administration. Ah, yes, the Biden era: where "catch and release" isn't just for fishermen, it's the official policy for folks who'd make Hannibal Lecter blush. Thanks to that genius stroke of compassion, our neighborhoods got an upgrade to "international fugitive flea market."

DHS said the case highlights the failures of the previous administration, which it said allowed millions of illegal aliens, including violent criminals and murderers like Sorocean, to roam free in American neighborhoods.

DHS slammed the Biden administration for releasing millions of illegal aliens, including violent criminals and murderers like Victoria Sorocean. 

"It shocks the conscience that the Biden administration released into America a cruel, violent illegal alien who tortured a human being, beat them with an electrical cable and a stick and then threw her victim from a ninth-floor window," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

"These are the types of barbaric criminal illegal aliens ICE is targeting every single day," she added. "Seventy percent of all ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S."

"This does not even include foreign fugitives like this convicted murderer. Under President [Donald] Trump and Secretary [Kristi] Noem, the world’s criminals are no longer welcome in the U.S.," McLaughlin said.

Sorocean will remain in ICE custody pending deportation proceedings, DHS said. Fingers crossed she gets the express lane back to Moldova, Vmaybe with a complimentary parachute this time, just to keep things thematic. In the meantime, here's to the adults finally showing up to clean up the mess left by the folks who thought open borders were a feature, not a bug.

ARMED DOMESTIC TERRORIST ARRESTED AFTER RAMMING BRAVE FEDERAL AGENTS IN CHICAGO – TIME TO CRUSH THESE ANTI-LAW THUGS!

Folks, you won't believe this insanity straight out of the Chicago, the Blowing City. 

New video footage has emerged showing a deranged woman slamming her vehicle into one carrying our heroic federal agents on Saturday. That lunatic? Marimar Martinez. She was also packing a weapon, got rightfully shot in self-defense, and now she's locked up tight.

And get this, Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, the driver of another vehicle in this vehicular ambush, was nabbed by our boys in blue. These cowards thought they could play demolition derby with our protectors but learned the opposite the hard way.

It all went down Saturday morning when Border Patrol warriors were bushwhacked near the intersection of 39th Place and S. Kedzie Avenue by a pack of domestic terrorists ramming their cars into federal agents like it was some twisted game. The officers heroically bailed out of their pinned-down ride, and when one suspect tried to mow them down, they dropped her cold. The woman peeled out to the hospital, got patched up, and was slapped in cuffs right after discharge. She's rotting in FBI custody now, where she belongs.

This Martinez witch was armed to the teeth with a semi-automatic and has a filthy rap sheet of doxxing our federal agents, putting bullseyes on their backs! 

But it didn't stop there – the mob turned feral, swarming with more degenerates hurling smoke, gas, rocks, and bottles at our DHS defenders. Pure anarchy!

Thank God for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stepping up like the patriot she is, deploying elite special operations teams to Chicago. That's how you BACK THE BLUE,  with muscle and resolve.

One more domestic terrorist got pinched for straight-up assaulting CBP heroes right at the scene. As our ICE enforcers raced to the shooting, another psycho tailed them and smashed their vehicle, trying to run them off the road. That idiot is in HSI custody too, facing the hammer. An ICE rig blew a tire in the melee and got swarmed by these vermin, forcing our agents to ditch it for their lives. The damage was catastrophic. A total gut-punch to see good gear wrecked by these scumcrumpets.

Heartbreakingly, several CBP lions were rushed to the hospital with injuries ranging from bruises to breaks.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin nailed it, calling out the madness: "These attacks on our brave law enforcement officers must END. Secretary Noem has taken action to deploy additional resources to restore law and order. We will not allow domestic terrorists to attack our law enforcement. If you lay a hand on law enforcement, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Spot on, Tricia. And she dropped the bomb: Martinez was flagged in a Border Patrol bulletin for doxxing agents and straight-up threatening them.

This armed harpy was named in a @CBP intelligence bulletin last week for doxing agents and posting online 'Hey to all my gang let's f*ck those mother f*ckers up, don't let them take anyone.' Chilling words from a stone-cold killer wannabe.

Praise the Lord, no feds were seriously hurt in this bloodbath, a miracle amid the madness. But leave it to Illinois' spineless but corpulent Governor J.B. Pritzker to downplay it all as "propaganda" in a sniveling CNN hit. Classic Dem deflection, siding with terrorists over our protectors. 

America, we can't let these attacks slide. Stand with our law enforcement, demand justice, and let's make Chicago safe again. God bless the badge!

BREAKING: Dallas ICE Shooting--Detainees Targeted; shooter dead

A grim scene unfolded in Dallas this morning, as a shooting at an ICE detention facility left two dead, including the attacker, and at least three detainees wounded. Fox News' Griff Jenkins, on the ground in Texas, reports the shooter took his own life after opening fire during a detainee transfer. Sources confirm no law enforcement officers were harmed, but the human toll is stark, with one detainee killed and others injured in what authorities are calling a deliberate attack.

The chaos erupted around 6:30 a.m. local time, per high-ranking Dallas Police Department sources, when the shooter exploited an open sally port during the transfer process, attempting to force his way into the facility. 

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem didn't hold back, confirming "multiple fatalities" in a statement on X: "There was a shooting this morning at the Dallas ICE Detention Facility. Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities. The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

Noem went further, pointing to a broader pattern of hostility: "While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families." Her words carry weight in a climate where ICE has become a lightning rod for criticism, often vilified by activists and politicians alike.

Vice President JD Vance echoed the sentiment, slamming what he called an "obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE." 

In a post on X, he added, "I'm praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families." The rhetoric isn't just political noise, DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin, speaking on Fox News, noted this wasn't the first threat to the facility. "Just a month ago to the day, there was a viable bomb threat" in Dallas, she said, suggesting the shooter may have been casing the location for some time. "It looks like he could have been watching to look at the processing and see what happens on a day-to-day basis at this Dallas field office," McLaughlin added. Her warning to critics was blunt: "We don't want to get anyone killed."

The incident has Texas lawmakers on edge. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued a statement vowing to monitor the situation closely: "My team and I are closely monitoring the situation at the ICE Detention Facility in Dallas. We are praying for the swift recovery of those injured, and we are deeply grateful to the brave first responders who rushed to the scene."

What's clear is that this wasn’t random. The shooter’s timing, targeting a vulnerable moment during detainee processing, suggests premeditation. Yet the motive remains murky, and investigators are digging for answers. McLaughlin promised Homeland Security would "get down to the bottom" of it, but for now, the focus is on the victims, detainees caught in the crossfire of a violent act.

BREAKING: Minneapolis Catholic school shooting, prompted huge law enforcement response

Alright, folks, strap in for another grim chapter in the saga of a world gone mad. A shooting rocked Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday, and the details are as gut-wrenching as you’d expect. Minnesota’s own Governor Tim Walz, never one to miss a chance to emote on X, chimed in with, "I've been briefed on a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School" and "I'm praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence." Thanks for the prayers, Tim, but let's get to the meat of this.

The Minneapolis Police Department, via a city message, tried to calm the panic with, "there is no active threat to the community at this time" and "the shooter is contained.”  Fox 9 sources say the suspect, whose name is still under wraps, isn't just contained but dead. One less problem to deal with, I suppose. City officials added, "Stay away from the area to allow emergency personnel to help victims." Solid advice, because nothing screams chaos like rubberneckers clogging up a crime scene.

The visuals are straight out of a nightmare. Footage from the scene showed parents hustling their kids away from the school, probably wondering how "back to school" turned into "run for your life." Locals told Fox 9 they heard so much gunfire they thought someone was hammering shingles on a roof. That's right, gunshots so frequent they blend into the neighborhood soundtrack. A federal source, not one for sugarcoating, told the outlet that a "substantial number" of people were injured. No word on specifics, but that phrase doesn't exactly scream "minor incident."

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem jumped in, saying, "DHS is monitoring the horrific shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis." She added, "We are in communication with our interagency partners, and will share more information as soon as it becomes available. I am praying for the victims of this heinous attack and their families." 

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, not to be outdone in the "I’m on top of this" department, declared, "I’m monitoring reports of horrific violence in South Minneapolis." He's in touch with Chief O'Hara, and the city's emergency response team is apparently activated. "We will share more information as soon as we can. Please give our officers the space they need to respond to the situation," he said. 

The ATF's St. Paul office confirmed their agents are on the scene, responding to "an active shooter situation at Annunciation Church in Minneapolis." And President Trump, never one to sit out a crisis, posted on Truth Social: "I have been fully briefed on the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The FBI quickly responded and they are on the scene. The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation. Please join me in praying for everyone involved!" 

Monitoring, praying, briefing: sounds like D.C. has a thesaurus open to the crisis management page.

The school, part of Annunciation Church and serving K-8 kids, just kicked off the academic year on Monday, per Fox 9. Nothing says "welcome back" like dodging bullets, right? This is where we're at, schools turning into war zones while politicians and bureaucrats churn out the same tired script.

Kristi Noem Slams Sanctuary City Policies After Illegal Migrant Shoots CBP Officer in NYC Ambu

In a fiery press briefing, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem didn’t hold back, pinning the blame squarely on New York City’s sanctuary policies for a brazen attack on an off-duty Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer in Riverside Park. The officer was shot in the face and forearm during an attempted robbery over the weekend, and Noem is calling out the lunacy of letting criminals roam free under the guise of “progressive” governance.

"There's absolutely zero reason that someone who is scum of the earth like this should be running loose on the streets of New York City," Noem declared, referring to Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, a Dominican national nabbed by Border Patrol in April 2023. This thug, arrested four times in NYC, was repeatedly released thanks to Mayor Eric Adams’ sanctuary city nonsense. "He was arrested four different times in New York City, and because of the mayor’s policies and sanctuary city policies, was released back to do harm to people and to individuals living in this city," Noem said, her frustration palpable.

The second suspect, Christhian Aybar-Berroa, another illegal alien from the Dominican Republic who slipped into the U.S. in 2022 under Biden's watch, was also collared. Noem didn’t mince words: "He was arrested for reckless endangerment and larceny and was released before ICE could get him off the streets." She took to X to hammer the point home, noting that detainers were "ignored" because of Adams' policies. This guy had a final removal order from 2023, yet here he is, allegedly shooting up NYC. Unreal.

The CBP officer, ambushed while sitting by the water with a friend, showed incredible grit. According to Homeland Security, "A witness of the attack, believed to be an attempted robbery, states that she and the victim were sitting on the rocks by the water when 2 subjects on a scooter drove up to them and the passenger got off the back and approached them with a firearm drawn. The off-duty CBP officer responded by withdrawing his own firearm in self-defense." 

The officer took bullets to his right arm and left cheek but still managed to wound Nunez, who was later dropped off at a Bronx hospital with shots to the leg and groin. Talk about a hero.

Noem, after visiting the officer, said, "His quick action speaks to his tenacity and his excellence in training and skill. And because of that, one of the perpetrators was wounded in this interaction and was incarcerated when he came in to get medical treatment." She added, "I just want you all to know that we have our hearts and our prayers going out with our officer and with his family and his friends, and will be lifting him up in prayer for his quick recovery and healing from this terrible tragedy that has befallen him."

But Noem wasn’t done and unleashed a blistering critique of sanctuary city mayors across the country, from Adams to Boston's Michelle Wu, LA's Karen Bass, and Chicago's Brandon Johnson. "I’m calling on every single mayor and sanctuary city and sanctuary governor to change their policies and to change their tactics right now," she demanded. "When I look at what Mayor Adams has done to New York City, it breaks my heart to see the families that have suffered because of his policies."

CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott piled on, stating, "We should not be here today. The reason these two assailants are inside the United States today is because of failed border policies by the Biden administration." Border czar Tom Homan, visibly shaken after seeing the officer, added, "I visited the officer last night, of course, he was heavily sedated, so I didn’t have words with him. But I did talk to his family. They’re devastated. It's just a shock to the soul when you walk in and see that young man laying there." Homan's warning was clear: "Sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals. President Trump is not going to tolerate it."

Even President Trump weighed in, writing, "An incredible CBP Officer was shot in the face by an Illegal Alien Monster freed into the Country under Joe Biden. The CBP Officer bravely fought off his attacker, despite his wounds, demonstrating enormous Skill and Courage."

Mayor Adams, trying to save face, admitted Nunez is a career criminal with "prior arrests for assault and violating an order protection," plus an active bench warrant and charges for robbery and stabbing. "He has inflicted violence in our city and once he is charged for last night’s crimes, we will be able to add attempted murder to his rap sheet," Adams said. 

Too little, too late. Noem's message is loud and clear: sanctuary policies are a magnet for chaos, and it’s time to stop coddling criminals. How many more lives need to be shattered before these mayors wake up?

Trump Authorizes ICE to Defend Themselves After Violent Clashes in California

Federal immigration officers were attacked with rocks and bricks during enforcement operations at cannabis farms in California.
Border Czar Tom Homan has demanded an end to violence against ICE agents after reports surfaced that a protester fired a gun at federal officers.
On Friday, President Donald Trump announced he has granted "Total Authorization" to federal immigration agents to protect themselves following violent encounters with protesters during an operation at a California cannabis farm.
While returning from Texas, where he assessed the damage from floods that killed at least 120 people, Trump posted a detailed message on Truth Social about the attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
"I am on my way back from Texas, and watched in disbelief as THUGS were violently throwing rocks and bricks at ICE Officers while they were moving down a roadway in their car and/or official vehicle," he wrote on Truth Social.
"Tremendous damage was done to these brand new vehicles. I know for a fact that these Officers are having a hard time with allowing this to happen in that it shows such total disrespect for LAW AND ORDER."
Federal authorities raided Glass House Farms in Camarillo and Carpinteria, using tear gas to control the situation. Reports indicate that protesters threw objects at agents.
In response, Trump stated he instructed Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and Border Czar Tom Homan to direct ICE, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other law enforcement agencies facing "thrown rocks, bricks, or any other form of assault, to stop their car, and arrest these SLIMEBALLS, using whatever means is necessary to do so."
"I am giving Total Authorization for ICE to protect itself, just like they protect the Public," he wrote. "I never want to see a car carrying a Law Enforcement Officer attacked again! AUTHORIZATION IMMEDIATELY GRANTED FOR ARREST AND INCARCERATION. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
The United Farm Workers reported that one worker died from injuries sustained during the incident.
"This man was not in and has not been in CBP or ICE custody," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital. "Although he was not being pursued by law enforcement, this individual climbed up to the roof of a greenhouse and fell 30 feet. CBP immediately called a medivac to the scene to get him care as quickly as possible."

Judge rules on motion to dismiss illegal alien's lawsuit

Well here we go again. The Biden Justice Department just got a judicial smackdown that’s worth popping some popcorn and sitting back to enjoy the deal. 

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis didn’t just deny their motions to dismiss Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s lawsuit over his botched deportation to El Salvador, she called one of their arguments straight-up “meritless.” Ouch, that’s gotta sting for the DOJ’s legal eagles, who probably thought they could waltz into court and sweep this mess under the rug.

“You made three arguments, defendants, and none are availing … meritless,” Xinis told DOJ attorney Bridget O’Hickey, who must’ve felt like she was back in law school getting a failing grade. The judge wasn’t playing around, and she had every reason to be angry. 

Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national, was one of over 250 Venezuelan and Salvadoran men deported to El Salvador’s maximum-security CECOT prison in March. The guy sued over his deportation, and now he’s back in the U.S., facing human trafficking charges in Tennessee. But here’s where it gets juicy: the government didn’t bother telling Xinis or Abrego Garcia’s lawyers when they brought him back in June and slapped him with an indictment. Classy move, DOJ.

Xinis, who’d already ordered the feds to get Abrego Garcia back to the U.S., wasn’t buying the government’s excuses. She grilled O’Hickey, asking if the U.S. cooked up the indictment just to drag him back. “Obviously you did have power to produce Mr. Abrego because you produced him less than a week later,” Xinis said, pointing out the DOJ’s shady timeline. A sealed indictment in Tennessee dropped six days after the government claimed in Maryland they had no power to bring him back. Sounds like someone’s pants were on fire.

The judge didn’t stop there. She called it “highly problematic” that the feds were scheming to investigate and prosecute Abrego Garcia without looping in her court. “We knew it was coming because eventually it was unsealed,” she said, noting that his lawyers only found out he was back in the U.S. from news reports. Imagine that, your client’s fate hinges on a Comedy News Network ticker. 

Xinis wasn’t amused, asking O’Hickey, “How can this representation be one I can credit?” Good question, Your Honor.

O’Hickey tried to spin it, claiming the U.S. was “negotiating” with El Salvador to bring him back while simultaneously filing motions to dismiss. “At some point, don’t you have an obligation to me to say, ‘Judge, we have the power, we produced him, moot,’” Xinis shot back. She even questioned whether the DOJ’s lawyers knew the Tennessee indictment was coming. O’Hickey’s response was a vague word salad about “ongoing negotiations” and “tandem proceedings,” which would have made Kamala Harris proud. 

Xinis wasn’t having it: “Is the indictment one of those steps? Since we are talking about my court order.”

Here’s where it gets even messier. The DOJ claimed Abrego Garcia wasn’t under investigation until April, a month after his lawsuit started. O’Hickey doubled down, saying, “I don’t believe that’s true, your honor,” even though that contradicts what law enforcement said in Tennessee. 

Xinis also shut down the DOJ’s second motion to dismiss, which argued the lawsuit was moot since Abrego Garcia’s back in the U.S. She’s worried he could be deported again if released from custody, and she’s not wrong to be skeptical. The government’s track record here isn’t exactly inspiring confidence. Xinis laid out a path for the feds to prove they won’t screw this up again: name a country where they’d send him and give him time to challenge it, or promise in a “binding way” that he’ll get due process. 

You know, that pesky thing called the U.S. Constitution.

O’Hickey tried to downplay the deportation as an “isolated error,” insisting, “We’ve acknowledged this was an error and have no intention of making that error a second time.” 

Xinis wasn’t buying the mea culpa. “For three months your clients told the world they weren’t going to do anything to bring him back,” she fired back. “Doesn’t that matter?” She even pointed out that the president, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Attorney General Pam Bondi all claimed there was no error. “I have been told that there was no error,” Xinis said, before ruling, “I don’t find at the moment that this case is moot.”

The DOJ’s Jonathan Guynn admitted that if Abrego Garcia is released from pretrial detention in Tennessee, DHS plans to deport him again, destination TBD. Xinis, fed up with the vagueness, ordered government officials with “firsthand knowledge” to testify Thursday about what happens if he’s released. “It’s like trying to nail Jello to a wall trying to find out what is going to happen next week,” she said, making it clear she’s not letting the feds “spirit him away again” without due process.

This whole saga is a masterclass in government incompetence. The DOJ’s been caught playing fast and loose with the truth, and Judge Xinis is holding their feet to the fire.
