Omar ran barefoot but got caught and is facing the alleged fraud consequences

Barefoot Muhammad Omar in Minnesota fraud scheme
captured hours after fleeing FBI in caught-on-camera escape

One of the fraud suspects in Minnesota, thought he could fly. He leaped without a cape from a fourth-floor balcony to escape arrest on Thursday morning and just a few hours later, was captured and in custody. Is this something an innocent person would do?

“After today’s interagency press conference announcing 15 public healthcare fraud indictments in Minnesota, the below subject who was on the run, Muhammad Omar, has now been arrested,” Patel wrote on X, including a photo of the suspect hobbling while holding one shoe.

“He is charged with healthcare fraud (18 U.S.C. § 1349, 18 U.S.C. § 1347) involving a Housing Stabilization Services company – with fraudulent claims for services not provided and diverting the proceeds for personal benefit,” the FBI director added.

The miscreant? A dude named Muhammad Abdulqadir Omar [no relation that we know of to Ilhan Omar]. He's been charged with Medicaid fraud

So who is this Muhammad Omar? He's a Minnesota man accused of orchestrating a multimillion-dollar healthcare fraud scheme  and is becoming a very high profile defendant in the sweeping DOJ fraud crackdown.

Authorities arrested the 32-year-old Omar after he allegedly attempted to evade federal agents by exiting a building the same way Minnesota's public assistance funds have reportedly been leaving state accounts for years: rapidly and without explanation.

The arrest came as federal prosecutors unveiled indictments against 15 individuals accused of helping themselves to roughly $90 million through a variety of healthcare-related schemes. According to investigators, the suspects allegedly discovered a little-known government reimbursement program called "Just Send Us Money And Don't Ask Questions."

Government officials reportedly expressed relief that Omar had been found before accidentally receiving another state contract, possibly from his namesake.

Federal prosecutors allege Omar co-owned North Home Health Care LLC and operated South Home Health Care LLC, businesses accused of billing Medicaid for services that either never happened or occurred primarily in the imaginations of accountants.

Court documents claim the companies submitted millions in questionable claims while providing taxpayers with the increasingly popular service known as "funding someone else's luxury purchases."

Investigators estimate North Home Health Care billed approximately $3.3 million and received about $3.2 million in reimbursements, a reimbursement rate experts described as "the sort of efficiency private businesses only dream about."

Authorities say Omar fled during a coordinated arrest operation but was later apprehended at a property connected to his business activities. Sources say agents located him by searching every place in Minnesota where government money had recently vanished.

The case is the latest chapter in Minnesota's ongoing fraud saga, a state tradition that now rivals ice fishing and apologizing for bumping into furniture. The most famous example remains the Feeding Our Future scandal, in which prosecutors alleged organizers somehow convinced the government that enormous numbers of meals were being served to children who appeared to exist only on spreadsheets.

That operation's alleged architect, Aimee Bock, was sentenced to more than 41 years in prison after prosecutors said she orchestrated a $250 million fraud scheme. State officials reportedly marked the occasion by lowering Minnesota's giant ceremonial "Days Since Massive Fraud Scandal" sign back to zero.

BREAKING: Minnesota fraud leader Aimee Bock sentenced

While the DOJ charged 15 people in the "shocking" $90,000,000 the Minnesota fraud schemes, one person, Aimee Bock, who was the leader of the scammers, has just been sentenced to prison. And while it was reasonable for anyone to be skeptical about what punishment would be meted out, Bock has received a 41.5 year sentence.

Just hours before this writing, a judge sentenced Bock, the leader of a Minnesota nonprofit agency to 41 years and 6 months in prison from the $250,000,000 fraud case that thanks to young journalist Nick Shirley uncovered because he is a real journalist and the Trump administration isn't playing games.

Bock ran "Feeding Our Future" that pretended to provide millions of needy kids with meals during the pandemic. The miscreant had to admit: “I understand I failed. I failed the public, my family, everyone.”

“Feeding Our Future operated like a cash pipeline, open to anyone willing to submit fraudulent claims and pay kickbacks,” prosecutors said in a court filing. “The ripple effects of her actions are profound, immeasurable, and will have lasting consequences for both Minnesota and the nation.”

Kenneth Udoibok, her attorney, asked the court for a much shorter sentence as Bock gave investigators important information and argued she was unfairly depicted as the brains behind the fraud. He claimed that her two co-defendants were responsible for running the scams.

There was a boat-load of Somalis from the community, the largest in Minnesota, who were also convicted for participating in the food fraud schemes that have gone on for years in courts.

Meanwhile, Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) is not answering questions and has even been implicated by Bock to be part of the scheme to bilk millions of taxpayer funds and put it into their own pockets and some in the Somali community.

And let's not forget some of the other actors in the scenario: Gov. Tampon Tim Walz, and Minnesota AG Keith Ellison.

Now that the sentence has been announced, many are more hopeful that those politicians who have historically been untouchable, may soon be sleeping in the same room where their toilet and sink are attached as one unit.

Ilhan Omar Goes Full Ghost Mode When Asked About Massive Minnesota Feeding Scam She Helped Supercharge

She knows we know, but thinks she's untouchable

Rep. Ilhan Omar (Socialist-MN) had nothing to say when Fox News Digital asked her point-blank if she would cooperate with the investigation into Minnesota's massive "Feeding Our Future" scandal. The far-left lawmaker faces accusations of ties to those at the center of a scheme federal prosecutors say ripped off taxpayers for roughly $250 million. Yet when pressed on those connections, Omar went radio silent.

(H/T Fox News Digital)

"Did you ask Minnesota Democrats to block the subpoena for the investigation of Feeding Our Future on the state level?" she was asked in the halls of Congress on Monday. No response. She also blew off the follow-up: "Would you cooperate with that subpoena and provide documents if they request it here in the House Oversight Committee?"

After the story ran, Omar's office coughed up a statement to Fox News Digital denying any involvement.

"Any claim that I had knowledge of this scheme is flat-out false," Omar said. "The MEALS Act was signed into law by President Trump and passed with bipartisan support as part of a broader legislative package. Trump’s USDA Secretary set the regulatory framework during the rollout of the program. I have always championed feeding kids and will continue to ensure our children do not go hungry."

Omar continued, "The moment this fraud came to light, I immediately sent a letter to the USDA Secretary demanding answers and accountability. As I stated from the beginning, stealing millions of dollars under the guise of feeding hungry children to bankroll lavish lifestyles and extravagant expenses is reprehensible. I’m grateful that Aimee Bock and every individual involved in this abhorrent scheme are being held accountable for defrauding taxpayers and betraying vulnerable children."

Her MEALS Act, the 2020 COVID relief bill she sponsored, is widely viewed as a key link to the scandal. Republicans argue it supercharged the fraud by fast-tracking USDA waiver authority for meal sites and gutting basic safeguards.

Despite months of dodging questions and refusing to provide information on her documented connections to some of the convicted players, Omar continues to play coy.

The Minnesota House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee invited her to testify this month and requested documents related to the scandal. She missed the deadline, which led to a subpoena vote that fell short after Democrats blocked the GOP push. It needed six votes to pass and got only five.

"She didn't even respond, ghosted us," state Rep. Kristin Robbins, chair of the committee, told Fox News Digital back in April. The committee wanted communications showing how Omar pushed expanded access to federal child nutrition programs, including emails, texts, and meeting records with the Minnesota Department of Education and constituents. They also asked about her public promotion of a Minneapolis restaurant later tied to the program, including a Somali-language TV spot where she highlighted Safari Restaurant as a meal site.

Records of contact with Aimee Bock and dozens of other charged or implicated individuals were also requested. Bock, the nonprofit founder, is staring down a possible 50-year prison sentence."A lot of the sites were working directly with her, being that a lot of the operators were from the same Somali community," Bock said about Omar in a recent jailhouse interview with the New York Post. "There were a lot of people that had been reaching out to her office and staff, and I presume her personally, to work through some of those gaps with the waivers."

Just last week, the committee dropped an 84-page report slamming Gov. Tim Walz's administration for creating a "culture of tolerance" that let fraudsters loot billions in taxpayer funds. The findings followed two dozen hearings and hundreds of whistleblower tips about ignored warnings and oversight breakdowns.

An estimated $300 million in federal meal program fraud and up to $9 billion in Medicaid fraud were stolen, according to the report, far higher than initial figures.

It also points directly at Omar's MEALS Act for loosening anti-fraud protections in nutrition programs, making it much tougher to confirm whether kids were actually being fed.

In related news, sources confirm Omar is currently hard at work on new legislation titled the "No Questions Asked Feeding Freedom Act," which would replace all remaining oversight with strongly worded statements and inspirational Instagram posts.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Omar "ghosted" MN hearing on her alleged fraud ties: lawmakers take action

Minnesota Republican lawmaker Kristin Robbins doesn't mess around. She is demanding answers from Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) after the serial controversy magnet failed to show up at a state hearing looking into her possible connections to the massive pandemic-era fraud scandal that is still making national headlines.

State Rep. Robbins, who chairs the House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee, fired off a formal letter to Omar on April 22. In it she roasted Omar, a woman who allegedly married her own brother, for blowing off the scheduled committee hearing she had been invited to attend and demanded a pile of documentation tied to the infamous "Feeding Our Future" investigation.

"Minnesotans and the Members of the House Fraud Prevention & State Oversight Committee were disappointed that you failed to appear before our committee to answer questions," Robbins wrote in the letter, obtained by Fox News Digital. The hearing zeroed in on the MEALS Act, that federal COVID-19 relief measure from 2020 sponsored by none other than Omar herself.

Even though Omar pulled her usual no-show routine, Robbins made it clear the committee still wants answers. They are now formally requesting records from Omar’s office along with responses to a list of pointed questions laid out in the letter.

Robbins wants to see communications showing how Omar pushed for expanded access to federal child nutrition programs. That includes emails, texts, and meeting records with the Minnesota Department of Education and various constituents.

The request also takes a hard look at her very public promotion of a Minneapolis restaurant that later popped up in connection with the program. Robbins pointed to a Somali-language TV appearance where Omar hyped up Safari Restaurant as a meal distribution site and demanded all communications related to that video and the restaurant’s involvement in the scheme.

That same video was played during Tuesday’s committee meeting while lawmakers dug into Omar’s ties to those in the Minneapolis Somali community linked to the fraud. Fox News Digital [and now Brain Flushings] has been all over this story for a while now.

Robbins is also seeking records of any contact between Omar and a lengthy list of people who have been charged or implicated in the Feeding Our Future case. That includes nonprofit founder Aimee Bock and dozens of alleged co-conspirators.

"She didn't even respond, ghosted us," Robbins told the outlet about the Democrat congresswoman ignoring the invitation to appear. "And her Meals Act is what created the conditions that allowed Feeding Our Future to happen."

When asked if Omar has ever bothered responding to any requests from the committee, Robbins replied, "No, we’ve sent multiple emails, multiple letters, nothing."

The letter further probes political donations Omar received from people who later got hit with charges in the case. It asks for "any and all" communications with those donors.

Robbins, who is running for governor of Minnesota, gave Omar until May 5 to cough up a written response and all the requested materials. That seems like plenty of time to get her act together.

This latest move is just another escalation in the Republican-led effort to get to the bottom of the Feeding Our Future scandal. Federal prosecutors say it involved the theft of hundreds of millions in taxpayer-funded child nutrition aid during the COVID panic. It sits inside a broader fraud disaster believed to total in the tens of billions.

Omar’s possible connections to this Minnesota mess are only part of the fun. She is also staring down a possible ethics investigation into her personal financial disclosures and fresh accusations, including some from Vice President JD Vance, that she committed immigration fraud. The evidence that she married her brother to get him immigration status into the country is pretty damning.

Just another Tuesday in the life of the congresswoman who never seems to run out of scandals along with her dislike for white men, Israel, and the good old USA.
