State takes kids away from Christian couple who refuse to agree their daughter is a boy

A Christian mom and her husband are fighting back in court after Oregon’s Department of Human Services determined that they caused “mental injury” to her daughter by refusing to “affirm” her transgender identity.

“It has destroyed our lives,” Nicole Calaway, the mother of two daughters who are now estranged because they both claim a transgender identity, told the Daily Signal in an interview Sunday. Child Protective Services took custody of her then-15-year-old daughter, K.A., on July 18, 2024, one day after Calaway and K.A. terminated the services of K.A.’s therapist, Jennifer Forster. 

According to court documents, Forster filed the complaint that resulted in K.A.’s removal. ODHS notified the Calaways that the agency considered them “responsible for the mental injury” of K.A. “Your adverse reactions to [K.A.] expressing their gender identity have caused serious harm to [K.A.’s] psychological functioning,” ODHS caseworker Rachel Woods wrote in a Sept. 13 letter. 

Calaway’s older daughter had already moved out. “I was so distraught, it felt like I was gutted,” the mother said. “Both my daughters were gone. I took myself to the hospital and admitted myself for a week because I couldn’t handle it.”

The mother remains estranged from her daughters, and Oregon has ordered her not to contact K.A. Yet the state’s findings haven’t just affected her maternal relationship. A Black Mark on the Parents’ RecordsThe “mental injury” finding constitutes a child abuse ruling on Calaway’s permanent record, and on the record of her husband, David. 

But seriously, what are the chances that both female siblings would believe they were males? That only seems to happen in the Hollywood crowd. 

The stigma of a state agency finding the two guilty of child abuse has followed them across state lines after their move to Florida in July 2025. “In Oregon, if they were to do a background check, I could have lost my notary license, I still cannot, even here, volunteer with the church, anything to do with children,” the mother told the Daily Signal.

The stigma may be even worse for her husband. Months after the two moved to Florida, the disgusting Oregon Department of Human Services determined that David Calaway had “exhibited a pattern of inappropriate grooming behaviors to include making inappropriate sexual comments while [K.A.] was in his care.” 

The husband vehemently contested the claims, saying he is innocent and was not given an opportunity to appeal. While the office made the determination in December 2025, he did not receive notification of it until May 12. 

The husband told the Daily Signal that his employment has yet to be affected by the matter, but he highlighted this message from the notice: “This abuse finding could have an impact on David Calaway’s ability to volunteer or to obtain or retain a professional license or certain types of employment.”

“If I was being accused of sexual abuse, wouldn’t there be a police record? Wouldn’t I be arrested? Wouldn’t I be in jail?” the husband asked. [I believe him.] 

“It’s like we’re guilty until proven innocent,” the mother said. The couple filed a lawsuit earlier this month, accusing the therapist, Forster, and ODHS agents of violating their rights under the First and Fourteenth Amendments. 

The lawsuit states that ODHS had previously screened out one child abuse referral against the Calaways and found a second referral unfounded, both in 2023. K.A.’s father, Keith Allison, who sought custody of the daughter, claimed that K.A. was in immediate danger, but the court denied two of his motions in 2024. 

“On essentially the same facts later used to remove K.A., a neutral court had twice declined to find immediate danger, and ODHS had already once found the mental-injury allegation unfounded,” the lawsuit states. 

On May 23, 2024, K.A. left school with a friend and did not notify her mother. She told school staff that she did not feel safe at home because her mother had showed her videos opposing transgender ideology the night before. School staff insisted she be taken to a stabilization center. Later, K.A. apologized to her mother and thanked her for helping her “acknowledge reality.” 

On July 17, Nicole Calaway and K.A. spoke on the phone with Forster, and terminated her services. Both K.A. and her mother accused the therapist of hiding information from the mother. According to the lawsuit, ODHS caseworker Rachel Woods recommended Forster call the Child Protective Services hotline shortly after this call. Forster called the hotline the next morning, and made many claims the lawsuit describes as false.

The therapist said that the mother had “presented as aggressive and angry,” and that she said K.A. “would no longer have support.” 

Forster would also write that the mother terminated counseling out of a “desire to manage client’s mental health without counseling support.” The lawsuit claims these statements were false but gave ODHS a “fabricated appearance of urgency.” 

On July 18, ODHS and law enforcement officers removed K.A. from the Calaways’ home for “mental injury.”According to the lawsuit, ODHS concluded that Nicole Calaway’s decision to show her daughter videos presenting arguments against transgender ideology harmed her daughter’s psychological functioning. The Calaways dispute this, saying the agency treated disagreement with the ideology as child abuse. “When did the truth become mental injury?” David Calaway asked in an interview with the Daily Signal.

The Calaways appealed the decisions, but ODHS stood by the finding. In November 2024, ODHS voluntarily withdrew the dependency petition, by which the department had removed K.A. from the Calaways’ home. While the department had dismissed the underlying claim, it nonetheless maintained the child-abuse findings against the Calaways. The plaintiffs argue the dismissal undercuts the state’s justification for removing K.A. from their home. 

“It began with them accusing us because we’re conservative Christians, and we don’t affirm her transgender ideology, that we provided hours of lectures to teach her daughter that this ideology isn’t right for her, and isn’t healthy for her, and they come and remove her from the home, and that was their reasoning,” the husband told the Daily Signal. 

According to the lawsuit, the Calaways refused to “affirm” K.A. as “transgender” due to their conservative Christian convictions that “a person cannot change from one sex to the other” and their view “that so-called ‘gender-affirming care,’ including ‘social transition,is harmful to children and teens and has never been proven safe or effective.” 

The lawsuit cites the United Kingdom’s Kass Review and the Department of Health and Human Services’ study finding little evidence for positive impacts from sex-rejecting procedures. The lawsuit accuses Forster of engaging in therapeutic malpractice because she “knew, or in the exercise of reasonable professional care should have known, that so-called ‘gender-affirming care,’ including social transition, is not a proven, safe, or effective treatment for an adolescent girl and is psychologically harmful.” 

Nicole Calaway told the Daily Signal she presented multiple videos to her daughter, including testimonials of detransitioners, “because I wanted her to make an informed decision. I did not want her to ruin her body. I still do not want her to ruin her body.” 

The Calaways’ lawsuit cited 42 U.S.C. § 1983, claiming deprivation of rights under the color of law. They claim that the therapist and ODHS official conspired to use the power of the state to interfere with Nicole Calaway’s right to direct the care, custody, and upbringing of her child under the Fourteenth Amendment. The Calaways also claim defendants violated their rights to free speech and religious freedom under the First Amendment by attempting to force them to support transgender ideology. The lawsuit also claims that ODHS directed school officials to deny Nicole Calaway access to her daughter’s educational records, even though no court order restricted her parental rights.

The Christian couple seeks compensatory and general damages of at least $5 million, special and economic damages, punitive damages, a declaratory judgment in their favor, attorney’s fees, and an injunction removing them from a child abuse registry or a sex offender registry. 

This is yet another shining example of the progressive orthodoxy machine grinding up families that dare to notice biological reality. Oregon bureaucrats decided that a Christian couple’s refusal to play along with their daughter’s sudden identity crisis counts as “mental injury.” Because nothing says child protection like yanking a teenager out of her home the day after mom and daughter fire a therapist who was apparently more interested in ideology than actual therapy.

The Calaways get branded as abusers on their permanent records for the high crime of showing videos that challenge the prevailing dogma. Dad even gets hit with a late-breaking “grooming” accusation that somehow never involved the police, an arrest, or a jail cell. Funny how that works. Meanwhile the state shrugs off earlier findings that the claims were unfounded and a court that twice refused to declare the kid in immediate danger.

When the dependency petition gets quietly withdrawn months later, the abuse findings stay on the books like a scarlet letter that follows the couple all the way to Florida. Mom can’t volunteer at church. Dad wonders out loud if actual sexual abuse accusations usually skip the part where you get arrested.

The couple’s lawsuit lays it out plainly: they wouldn’t affirm something their faith and common sense both reject, and the state treated that as grounds to seize their child. They pointed to the Kass Review and the HHS study that found precious little evidence that “gender-affirming care” helps anyone, let alone adolescent girls. 

The therapist is accused of malpractice for pushing the opposite. 

Mom simply wanted her daughter to see the detransitioner stories before making irreversible decisions about her own body. This is what happens when the administrative state decides that disagreement with transgender ideology is itself a form of child abuse. Parental rights, free speech, and religious liberty get treated as optional suggestions once the orthodoxy is challenged. 

The Calaways are asking for damages and to have their names scrubbed from the registries. In a saner country that wouldn’t even be a close call.

Leftist mob attempted to crash Kash Patel's funeral trip

A mob of leftist protesters decided to harass FBI Director Kash Patel while he was reportedly in Portland, Oregon, attending a friend’s funeral this weekend because apparently nothing screams “saving democracy” like stalking federal officials outside a hotel.

According to Fox News, agitators swarmed the downtown area Saturday night after convincing themselves Patel was staying at the Sentinel Hotel. Social media footage showed protesters gathering outside the building, shouting rude slogans and waving professional signs in yet another example of the unhinged activism that has become routine during President Donald Trump’s second term.

The demonstrators claimed they were protesting the alleged “weaponization” of the FBI under Trump and Patel’s handling of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to FOX 12 Oregon. Evidently, the Left now thinks the proper response to political disagreement is tracking government aircraft and mobbing hotels.

It is still unclear where Patel actually stayed.

Police maintained a presence at the scene while unemployed and possibly paid protesters crowded outside the hotel entrance. Thankfully, unlike other recent left-wing demonstrations, the situation did not appear to devolve into leftist violence.

Fox News reported that activists used public flight-tracking data to monitor the Justice Department aircraft Patel reportedly uses. From there, they watched security activity downtown to determine which hotel he was “likely” staying at. Totally normal behavior that isn't well-appreciated by patrons of the hotel.

One protester admitted to Fox 12, “It wasn’t 100% confirmed but very likely he was at the Sentinel.” The same individual claimed the group gathered there “to protest the weaponization of Trump’s and Patel’s FBI to suppress our freedom of speech and freedom of press.”

Sure, surrounding a hotel and intimidating people attending a funeral definitely advances free speech.

Another protester who never personally met the FBI Director, or actually knew anything about him, simply called him “a creep,” because that is what he was told to think.

Others held professionally produced signs reading, “Kash Patel protects pedophiles” and “We don’t want you in our city, oink oink piggy piggy.”

Classy stuff from the self-proclaimed defenders of civility.

And this is becoming a trend. In January, leftist demonstrators in Minneapolis targeted both the Depot Renaissance Hotel and the Hilton Canopy Hotel because they believed ICE agents were staying there, according to Reuters. That protest escalated further, with rioters damaging property while attempting to force their way inside before police shut things down.

Remember when Democrats and the media spent years lecturing everyone about “political violence,” “threats to democracy,” and “dangerous rhetoric”? Funny how those concerns disappear when the mob is aimed at Trump officials.

The Dem Narrative Is Falling Apart as DHS Exposes the Identities in CBP Shooting in Portland

The Dem narrative is falling apart like an Ikea bookcase yet again as the DHS exposes the real identities behind the so-called "married couple" in the CBP shooting incident in Portland.

No surprise, the two injured parties turn out to be suspected affiliates of the notorious Tren de Aragua gang. 

Fox News reported on how Portland leaders demand ICE shut down operations in the city following the shooting of two migrants linked to Tren de Aragua, [TdA] is a transnational criminal organization originating from Venezuela.

As fresh protests flare up and Democrats voice their predictable outrage over yet another shooting involving a federal immigration agent in Portland, the Department of Homeland Security is cutting through the noise to lay out the facts on the two individuals involved and their suspected gang ties.

In a Friday post on X, DHS identified the pair as Luis David Nico Moncada and Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras, describing them as Venezuelan criminal illegal aliens and suspected members of the foreign terrorist organization Tren de Aragua. According to the agency, the two attempted to run over a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent and others with their vehicle, prompting the agent to open fire in self-defense.

The incident unfolded around 2:19 p.m. local time when Border Patrol agents stopped the vehicle and identified themselves as law enforcement, DHS explained.

"Yesterday, two suspected Tren de Aragua gang associates, let loose on American streets by Joe Biden, weaponized their vehicle against Border Patrol in Portland," DHS wrote, adding that "the agent took immediate action to defend himself and others, shooting them."

Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Both suspects fled the scene but were later located by Portland Police, who provided first aid before transporting them to a hospital.

DHS noted that Moncada, the driver, entered the U.S. illegally in 2022 and was released into the country under the Biden administration. Beyond his suspected Tren de Aragua ties, he had prior arrests for driving under the influence and unauthorized use of a vehicle, and he faces a final order of removal.

Zambrano-Contreras, the passenger, entered illegally in the El Paso area in 2023 and was likewise released by the Biden administration. DHS stated she "played an active role in a Tren de Aragua prostitution ring" and had been involved in a previous shooting in Portland.

Pushing back hard against media portrayals, DHS labeled reports of the pair as an innocent "married couple" as "REVOLTING LIES," clarifying in another X post that "the two criminal illegal aliens who attacked Border Patrol in Portland are a gang member and his prostitute NOT an innocent ‘married couple.’"

Democrats, predictably mindless and reactionary, rushed to condemn federal law enforcement almost immediately after Thursday's shooting.

Portland Mayor Keith Wilson called for ICE to "halt all operations" in the city pending a full independent investigation. But Wilson has no authority to halt federal law enforcement operations and is whistling in the wind.

"We know what the federal government says happened here," Wilson said during a news conference Thursday. "There was a time when we could take them at their word. That time has long passed."

He went further, insisting that ICE agents and DHS leadership "must fully be investigated and held responsible for the violence inflicted on the American people in Minnesota, in Portland, and in all the communities across America."

Oregon Gov, Tina Kotek (D) weighed in, attributing the incident to the "reckless agenda of the Trump administration."

"While the details of the incident remain limited, one thing is very clear: when a president endorses tearing families apart and attempts to govern through fear and hate rather than shared values, you foster an environment of lawlessness and recklessness," she said.

Kotek highlighted concerns from Oregon's attorney general and others about excessive force by federal agents in Portland, arguing that "today's incident only heightens the need for transparency and accountability."

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) took to X to blame the Trump administration for 'inflaming violence.'

"I'm monitoring the first awful reports of two people shot in Portland by federal law enforcement," Wyden wrote before knowing who these thugs are. "I'll keep you updated, but Trump's deployment of federal agents in my hometown is clearly inflaming violence, and must end."

'Game Changer': DHS Drops the Mask on Portland's Costume-Clad Chaos Crew

If there's one thing the left's street theater has taught us, it's that nothing says "mostly peaceful" quite like a gaggle of grown adults playing dress-up to dodge the long arm of the law. You know the drill: bandanas yanked up like wannabe outlaws, ski masks straight out of a bad '80s heist flick, or those novelty character masks that leave just enough eyeball real estate to glare at the cameras. 

Lately in Portland, where the nightly "protests" have morphed into a full-blown cosplay convention outside the ICE facility, these merry pranksters have upped the ante. Full-blown costumes now, folks, the kind that wouldn't look out of place at a Comic-Con for malcontents. It's a page ripped right from the "No Kings" playbook back in mid-October, where the goal is straight-up deception of the feds trying to do their jobs.

A couple of snapshots from the scene say they've got more layers than an onion.

But here's where the plot twists: Those new rules slated to kick in come January just got fast-tracked. DHS hit the fast-forward button, and they're live now. No more hiding behind the Halloween haul if you're breaking the law. Straight from the DHS site, do yourself a favor and hit the "prohibited conduct" section for the unvarnished truth:

All persons are prohibited from engaging in the following conduct, on federal property or in areas outside federal property, that affects, threatens, or endangers federal property or persons on the federal property:

(a) Disorderly conduct, which includes, but is not limited to, assaulting, fighting, harassing, intimidating, threatening or other violent behavior, lewd acts, or the inappropriate disposal of feces, urine, and other bodily fluids.

(b) Wearing a mask, hood, disguise, or device that conceals the identity of the wearer when attempting to avoid detection or identification while violating any federal, state, or local law, ordinance, or regulation.

(c) Creating a loud or unusual noise, noxious odor, or other nuisance. Katie Daviscourt, the Post Millennial's investigative reporter who held her own at President Trump's Antifa roundtable last month, nails it: the new policy is a "game changer" in this endless tug-of-war between the black-bloc berserkers, their media cheerleaders, and an administration that's finally pushing back.

DHS laid it out in their rollout: The rushed timeline? Blame the "sharp uptick in violence" against immigration officers and detention centers—because nothing screams "justice reform" like firebombing feds. Other goodies in the package?

Expanded Charging Authority: FPS gets the green light to nail violators on or off property, as long as it messes with Uncle Sam's turf or tenants.

Modernized Prohibited Conduct: Drones, unauthorized tinkering, and digital sabotage are all off-limits now, because apparently even the tech bros in the mob need boundaries.

Additional Prohibited Conduct: Extra ammo for anything gumming up the works on federal grounds, safety, security, the whole orderly shebang.

Clearer Public Notice: Signs at the gates spelling it out, no fine print required.

Collaboration with Stakeholders: Teamwork makes the dream work: feds, guards, and local cops all in the huddle. Look, if history's any guide, the ACLU's ambulance-chasers will be filing briefs before the ink dries. Free speech! Expression! 

Oh, the humanity! But until the Ninth Circuit plays dress-up judge, at least ICE's got a sharper toolkit to unmask the mobs, and remind Portland's enablers that those "nonexistent" anarchists? Yes, they're very real, and very done hiding.

Fleeing Felon? Ex-Dem Oregon Commissioner Allegedly Swipes $30K from Elder, Bolts to Mexico with Kid in Tow

Oh, the irony is thicker than a Portland protest fog: A former Democratic bigwig in Oregon, Melissa Fireside, is now America's Most Wanted in sensible shoes after allegedly lifting $30,000 from her own mother's boyfriend, you know, the guy rotting away in an assisted living home. Because nothing screams "progressive values" and socialism, like preying on the vulnerable to pay off your own debts.

According to KPTV, this little escapade went down back in March 2025. Fireside, ex-Clackamas County Commissioner and presumably a card-carrying member of the "tax the rich, but not me" club, sweet-talked her way into the poor sap's bank account during a visit. Then, in a move straight out of a bad Lifetime movie, she rings up the bank, walks the guy through resetting his online login, and boom! Access granted. 

Prosecutors say she funneled $29,000 straight to square up a loan from a state representative (because of course it was). Oh, and she skimmed an extra grand for her personal piggy bank. 

The whole mess came to light when the victim's daughter spotted the sketchy charges on his credit union statement and hit the panic button. Fast-forward to last week, and the Oregon Department of Justice drops a bombshell in an Oct. 31 presser: Fireside's probably hightailed it across the border, dragging her 9-year-old son along for the joyride. The kid's dad rang up the Clackamas County DA on Wednesday, frantic that the boy was yanked from school and that his ex had "apparently fled the country." 

Authorities suspect she waltzed into Mexico on a phony ID, because why not add identity fraud to her rap sheet?

And get this: Just Tuesday, she supposedly booked a hop from Mexico to Amsterdam. International woman of mystery? More like international woman of misdemeanor , wait, no, make that felonies. She's slapped with first-degree aggravated theft, first-degree theft, computer crime, and first-degree forgery. Her conditional release explicitly banned her from jetting out of Oregon without a hall pass. 

Trial was set for Dec. 2. Guess who's a no-show?

"Our top concern right now is the safety and well-being of this child," said Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield. "We are working closely with law enforcement partners here and at the federal level to locate Ms. Fireside and ensure she is held accountable under Oregon law. No one should be able to evade justice by crossing a border."

Spoken like a true blue-state enforcer, Dan, though one can't help but wonder if the DOJ's resources were this gung-ho when it came to, say, actual border security. 

Fireside's saga is a reminder: In the party of "eat the rich," sometimes they just help themselves to grandma's boyfriend's nest egg instead. Lock her up and send the bill to the state rep who loaned her the cash.

Antifa’s Portland Party Crashes Hard as Feds Roll In

Antifa's reign of chaos in Portland just hit a brick wall, and it's glorious. As RedState dropped earlier, President Donald Trump came out swinging Saturday morning, announcing he's sending in the cavalry to deal with the anti-ICE mayhem in that far-left dumpster fire of a city, where Antifa's been running amok like they own the place. You know, the same Antifa that Democrats swear is just a figment of our imagination.

"I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists," Trump declared on Truth Social, making it crystal clear he's green-lighting “full force” if these clowns don't back off.

Antifa, never ones to miss a chance to light a Molotov cocktail, reportedly cooked up a "direct action" stunt at Portland's ICE facility for Sunday afternoon. Spoiler alert: they're not exactly winning hearts and minds.

While we’re still waiting to see how that plays out, and when the troops will actually hit the ground, the feds weren't messing around Friday night, even before Trump's big announcement. They were already out there, ready to shut down the Antifa circus. When the black-clad brigade kicked off their Saturday night tantrum, they got a rude awakening. Not only did the feds bring the heat from the air:

But they also showed up on the ground, ready to rumble.

Katie Daviscourt, a boots-on-the-ground reporter for The Post Millennial, nailed it: "It's mass chaos tonight outside the ICE facility. Agitators appear to be furious about military deployment." Gee, you think? Nothing says "we’re losing" like a bunch of masked wannabe revolutionaries throwing a fit when the adults show up.

Here's the deal: Antifa's days of turning blue cities into their personal playground are numbered. Trump's done with the Democrats' spineless "leadership" that lets these thugs treat public streets like their own anarchist Airbnb. The longer they keep this up, the worse it’s gonna get for them.

Chinese Spies Busted Snooping on U.S. Navy: Another Day, Another CCP Plot

Well, folks, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is at it again, and this time, they’ve been caught red-handed, pun intended. 

Two Chinese nationals, Yuance Chen and Liren Lai, were nabbed by the FBI for allegedly playing James Bond for Beijing, spying on U.S. Navy personnel and bases while trying to recruit our service members for the CCP’s Ministry of State Security (MSS). Because apparently, the CCP thinks our Navy is just a Craigslist ad for their espionage schemes.

According to a juicy scoop first reported by Fox News, Chen, a Happy Valley, Oregon resident, and Lai, who waltzed into Houston on a tourist visa in April 2025, were arrested last Friday. The Department of Justice (DOJ) says these two were running a covert op for the MSS, China’s main foreign intelligence outfit. Their mission was to gather intel on Navy bases and personnel, recruit potential turncoats, and even orchestrate a shady “dead drop” cash payment. You know, standard spy stuff, straight out of a Tom Clancy novel, minus the charm.

The FBI, with a little help from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS—not the TV show, sadly), swooped in and cuffed the unhappy Chen in Happy Valley and Lai in Houston. 

FBI Director Kash Patel didn’t mince words, telling Fox News Digital, “Today’s arrests reflect the FBI’s unwavering commitment to protecting our national security and safeguarding the integrity of our military.” He added, “The individuals charged were acting on behalf of a hostile foreign intelligence service, part of the Chinese Communist Party’s broader effort to infiltrate and undermine our institutions. Thanks to outstanding coordination with our partners, including NCIS, we disrupted those efforts and sent a clear message: the United States will not tolerate espionage on American soil. Our counterintelligence operations remain focused, vigilant, and relentless.” 

The DOJ’s criminal complaint, filed in the Northern District of California, lays it all bare. The MSS, which apparently moonlights in snooping on civilians when it’s not busy with counterintelligence, recruited Chen through Lai back in 2021. By January 2022, the dynamic duo [aka Frick and Frack] was allegedly in Guangzhou, China, setting up a $10,000 cash-stuffed backpack drop in a Livermore, California day-use locker. Real cloak-and-dagger vibes. They didn’t stop there, either. The pair kept working for the MSS, scoping out Navy personnel who might be tempted to betray their country for a quick buck.

In 2022 and 2023, Chen and Lai took their spy tour to a U.S. Naval installation in Washington State and a Navy recruitment center in San Gabriel, California. At the recruitment center, Chen allegedly played paparazzi, snapping photos of a bulletin board listing Navy recruits’ names, programs, and hometowns—most of which, surprise, were listed as “China.” Those photos, the DOJ claims, were promptly sent to an MSS officer in China. Subtle, guys. Real subtle.

The MSS wasn’t just sitting back sipping tea, or ordering a combo plate either. 

They allegedly gave Chen a playbook: what to say to potential recruits, how much cash the MSS could dangle, preferred Navy job assignments for their targets, and tips to keep Chen from getting caught. 

Spoiler: He got caught. Chen even cozied up to a Navy member on social media, arranging a tour of the USS Abraham Lincoln in San Diego and feeding information about the sailor back to the MSS. Meanwhile, Chen made trips to Guangzhou in April 2024 and March 2025 to huddle with MSS officers and discuss his paycheck for these dirty deeds.

Lai, for his part, claimed he was just an innocent online retailer visiting Houston for a two-week business trip in April 2025. 

Sure, and snakes have hips.

By May 9, Lai was spotted road-tripping from Houston to California and back to Junction, Texas, well past his supposed two-week stay. Nothing screams “tourist” like a multi-state jaunt with a side of espionage soup.

Both Chen and Lai are now staring down charges of acting as unregistered foreign agents, which could land them up to seven years in prison and a $250,000 fine each. 

Assistant Attorney General John Eisenberg summed it up nicely: “Hostile foreign intelligence services like the PRC’s Ministry of State Security dedicate years to recruiting individuals and cultivating them as intelligence assets to do their bidding within the United States. Under my leadership, the National Security Division will continue to defend our nation and way of life by rooting out and exposing our adversaries’ clandestine spy networks.” In other words, the CCP’s spy games just got a time-out.

So, there you have it. Another day, another CCP plot to undermine the U.S. military. You’d think they’d get tired of losing at this game, but apparently, Beijing’s got a thing for playing the villain. Stay vigilant, folks. These spies aren’t exactly hiding in plain sight, but they’re trying.

Pam Bondi has 3 arrested for "domestic terrorism" in cases against Tesla

In a robust display of law and order, U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi has thrown down the gauntlet, announcing on Thursday that three miscreants now face charges for their audacious assaults on Tesla properties across the nation. This is not a mere slap on the wrist; it’s a resounding crack of the whip.

“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” Bondi declared with steely resolve in her statement. And she’s not mincing words: “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.” No equivocation, no pandering—just the cold, hard promise of justice.

The statement lays out the stakes with stark clarity: these three, should they be convicted, will face a mandatory minimum of five years in the clink, with the prospect of two decades behind bars looming large. This is not a game for the faint-hearted; it’s a serious reckoning for those who thought they could wreak havoc and saunter away unscathed. Bondi’s message is unmistakable: the rule of law still has teeth, and it’s ready to bite.

The statement didn't identify the arrestees but gave a brief synopsis of each case. The cases detailed in the statement appeared to match cases announced in recent days and weeks by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

On the first defendant mentioned, the DOJ said:

One defendant, also armed with a suppressed AR-15 rifle, was arrested after throwing approximately eight Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership located in Salem, Oregon.

The case appears to be a reference to Adam Matthew Lansky, 41, who was arrested for allegedly “throwing Molotov cocktails at a local car dealership” and allegedly firing “multiple firearm rounds into a building and at least one vehicle,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon.

On the second defendant, the DOJ said:

Another was arrested in Loveland, Colorado after attempting to light Teslas on fire with Molotov cocktails. The defendant was later found in possession of materials used to produce additional incendiary weapons.

The case appears to be a match to Justin Thomas Nelson, 42, who the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado says was arrested on “one count of malicious destruction of property for a series of incidents at the Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado.”

On the final defendant mentioned, the DOJ said:

In Charleston, South Carolina, a third defendant wrote profane messages against President Trump around Tesla charging stations before lighting the charging stations on fire with Molotov cocktails.

The case appears to be a match for a case out of the USAO’s District of South Carolina against Daniel Clarke-Pounder, 24, who was arrested “on criminal charges related to an arson at a North Charleston Tesla charging station.”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the arrests with a post on X that said, “The hammer of justice strikes.”

Liberal governor recriminalizes drugs. because the left's ideas don't work

If you are not a liberal at 25, you have no heart. If you are not a conservative at 35 you have no brain-- Unknown

Winston Churchill is often credited with the above quote, but there is no proof he actually said those words. However, its validity rings true because when we look at liberal ideas that have been instituted, they tend to fall apart over time.  

Democratic Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek has legislatively completed its U-turn on a policy that didn't last long: the decriminalizing of the possession of small amounts of certain drugs. She signed a law that reverses Measure 110, which was instituted in 2020. The voters in her state approved the decriminalizing of most illegal possession and controlled substance offenses and redirect a major chunk of Oregon's marijuana tax revenue to fund grants for addiction services. That's like allowing underage children to drink alcohol then use tax money to fund alcohol recovery programs for children.

But in spite of the stupidity of this leftist move of decriminalization, about 58% of Oregonians approved the measure. As a result, addiction and  deaths from overdose have skyrocketed in the state and across the country, as fentanyl began coming in over the border.

By August, 56% of Oregonians said they disapproved of the pioneering drug law and both Republicans and Democrats introduced legislation to roll back the controversial measure.

See, when the problem comes to their own neighborhoods, the finally remove their heads from the clouds [or in most cases, their nether regions] and walk back the stupid plans. So far, California is still having their heads up their nether regions, so it's going to take more time for the various problems to come to the neighborhoods of those at the top of the food chain. Of course this also addresses the homelessness, immigration and not simply the drug problems.

The new walk-back law, HB 4002, takes effect on September 1, and makes so-called personal use possession a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail. It allows cops to confiscate the drugs and crack down on their use in parks and on the street. The law also establishes pathways to treatment as an alternative to prison time by encouraging law enforcement agencies to create deflection programs that would divert people to addiction and mental health services instead of the criminal justice system.

In a signing letter, Kotek said the law’s success will depend on "deep coordination" between courts, police, prosecutors, defense attorneys and local mental health providers, describing them as "necessary partners to achieve the vision for this legislation, so defunding the police is no longer on the Oregon agenda.

Oregon House Republican Leader Jeff Helfrich said he supports Kotek’s decision and said it was a crucial first step toward addressing the ongoing drug crisis in the state.

"Republicans stood united and forced Democrats to do what Oregonians demanded: recriminalize drugs," Helfrich said, according to KEZI.

Rep. Tim Knopp, (R-OR), agreed with Helfrich’s sentiments and said it brings an end to the liberal experiment although more needs to be done to address the state’s drug crisis.

"Make no mistake, this bill is not enough to undo the disaster of Measure 110," Knopp said in a statement. "House Republicans are ready to continue the work we started and bring real change to Salem in the next session."

"Now that the Governor has given the re-criminalization bill her stamp of approval, we can finally end the chapter on Oregon’s experiment with decriminalizing hard drugs."

"HB 4002 is not a perfect solution; legislators will have much more work to do in upcoming sessions. But it sets a standard for how the state should approach the drug addiction crisis: by empowering law enforcement and our behavioral health systems to work together to help Oregonians struggling with chronic addiction seek life-saving treatment."

So while fentanyl overdoses rose over 500% in Multnomah County alone, between 2018 and 2022, it's waking the left up to the crisis and Democrats are doing the "Moon Walk" in reverse.

It's time the adults took over.

Two women who allegedly murdered a man, caught in Nevada

You should see their body piercings

A pair of women who were wanted in connection with the murder of a man found dead at a campsite in Oregon’s Tillamook State Forest last week have been bagged and arrested in Nevada, authorities said Monday. 

The body of the 52-year-old victim was found Friday at a campsite on the East Fork of the Trask River while a Tillamook deputy was making routine visits to the state forest’s campsites, according to the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy also found the man’s useless barking dog tied to a nearby tree. The pooch evidently did nothing to save its master's life.

Detectives discovered spent cartridges at the scene and determined the man has been shot and his light blue 2002 Toyota Sienna minivan stolen, according to authorities. He had been staying at a nearby campsite.

Investigators identified the beautiful Ms. Alyssa Sturgill, 40, and the effervescent Lisa Peaslee, 41, as persons of interest in the case after finding learning they were also living in sin in their car at the same location where the victim was found. 

Sturgill and Peaslee’s car was located nearby the scene.

Detectives alerted law enforcement in the western U.S. to the missing minivan and persons of interest.

On Sunday, deputies in Mineral County, Nevada, stopped Sturgill and Peaslee driving the stolen minivan, the sheriff’s office said.

The not-so elusive duo was arrested on local Nevada charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and held without bail.

On Monday, a judge in Tillamook County signed arrest warrants for the women on charges of second-degree murder, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, unabashed homeliness, and first-degree theft.

Sturgill and Peaslee were expected to be extradited back to Tillamook County to face the charges.

Drag Queen Story Time in Oregon draws armed protesters

Eugene, OR -- A disturbance outside of Old Nick's Pub began as a scheduled "drag queen story hour" was to take place in order to groom children. The pub, named after one of Satan's monikers, serves alcohol and is normally out of bounds for children but we have a brain addled geriatric in the White House and anything goes, as they say.

The plan for the "entertainment" venue was to include a performance of an eleven-year-old child in drag whose parents pimped him out for the night. The event was announced on a local news station and social media which prompted an organized protest against the sexualization of children in this satanic manner.

This spurred a separate group of child abusers and perverts to form their own counter-protest in support of the age-inappropriate activity. So this led up to a confrontation that quickly escalated with some protesters armed, others hurling rocks and smoke bombs at each other from opposite sides of the street.

But the "show" must go on and it did as scheduled, however the eleven-year-old child was removed from the venue and sat in the audience of about 50 people. In all, there were about 200 protesters and counter-protesters [aka: grooming supporters] outside the bar where the drag queen story time was held.

Due to the kerfuffle, the street had to be shut down. Some in the crowd had semi-automatic rifle, the cops said, and you know which side of the protest they supported.

One person suffered an unspecified injury and was taken to a local hospital, but no other physical violence was reported. The protesters opposed to the show described the show participants as monsters and asked why this was being done to children. 

The counter-protesters, or groomers, responded with chants claiming that “this is what protecting children looks like.” Of course this is yet another example of how the Left's claims are the exact opposite of reality. [Take the Inflation Reduction Act, for example.] Protecting children is allowing them to be children, not exposing them to confusing displays of men dressed as caricatures of sexualized women.

Antifa disrupts Christian worship, Proud Boys clash with them, police 'sit on their hands' and watch

 Portland, OR -- A crowd of Marxist Antifa scumcrumpets violently shut down a Christian prayer even on the waterfront prior to another kerfuffle between them and alleged Proud Boys members. The groups threw projectiles at each other and called each other bad names.

Police on the sidelines decided the best way to handle the fighting was to watch and later decide who won, as the city's social workers shouted at the frenzy, "Use your words; use your words!"

One social worker, who asked to remain anonymous due to his fear of being doxxed, said that he attempted to break up a pair of fighters by telling them they needed a 'time out.' Neither fighter stopped fighting but the social worker felt he at least tried, and as far as he was concerned, they stopped fighting in their hearts.

The first brew ha ha started Saturday at an open-air event planned at Tom McCall Waterfront Park near the Battleship Oregon Memorial. Artur Pallowski, a preacher who had been arrested in Canada for defying coronavirus restrictions [that only apply to sophisticated Democrats and Barack Obama] hosted the event. 

Several Marxist Twitter accounts that call themselves Antifa, tweeted about the event, ostensibly to alert fellow scumbags to prepare for battle. Videos posted online showed them dressed in black as they showed up for the fight.

Andy Ngo video recorded some of the event. You can see some of the video he shot and judge what happened for yourself.

Dozens of people carrying black umbrellas and shields are seen spraying red and yellow gas at the group of worshippers, as other Antifa members steal sound equipment, lawn chairs and wagons left across the lawn by families who had come to listen to the pastor speak. 

Meanwhile, the police did nothing.

"All Cops are B*******, in the name of Jesus," a dude’s voice is heard saying during the melee. Most likely this person was an antifa-level intellectual, based on his ability to speak a coherent sentence. 

Children and toddlers along with parents were at the worship event when antifa Marxists began hurling things at them.

A videographer said that antifa threw eggs and "[T]hey threw a flash bomb [probably meant a flash bang] into a group of kids who were out there."

A male worshipper said one of the pastors walked up to ask the group of demonstrators to stop -- but he was pepper sprayed. 

The cops watched.

The Portland Tribune reported that members of the Proud Boys, eventually descended on the worship event and clashed with the Antifa members. Additional video circulated online by independent journalist Andy Ngo shows the clashes carried onto a nearby city street, and the alleged Proud Boys members, seen dressed in yellow and black garb, fired a paint ball gun at several Antifa members.

It was a fun time for all . . . except the toddlers and kids and anyone who was injured.

A Portland Police Bureau cruiser pulled up at the scuffle and flashed its siren, which scared other police officers who weren't ready for it as fighters couldn't care less about the noise, One guy yelled at the officer behind the wheel, "Do your job," but got the same results from the cop as the siren got from the scufflers.

Portland going for the gold in shootings for the year

The U.S. Women's Soccer team may not get the gold this time around, [kneeling for the National Anthem is bad karma] but the record for homicides is looking good for the bad guys as 53 have already occurred this year and it's looking to break the all-time high record of 70 from back in 1987.

In spite of the surge in murders, Portland Police seem unable to find cops willing to put their careers on the line to fill positions on the newly re-constructed "gun violence" team so it looks like guns will continue to be violent.

Portland Police Association Executive Director Daryl Turner says that one reason cops of the Rapid Response team resigned is that some elected officials did not support officers during the more than 150 days of [mostly peaceful] riots in the liberal city.

The department is struggling to find naive officers willing to serve on its newly resurrected gun violence unit which had been shut down over a year ago when the Black Lives Matter movement along with antifa thugs, were looting, destroying property, intimidating and killing people for not being Marxist anarchists.

The Portland's Gun Violence Reduction Team, once prestigious, is now considered a trap for cops who simply want to do their job as they come under intense scrutiny and are considered guilty and need to be punished before exonerating evidence unfolds.

Homicides have surged since the unit was disbanded last summer after the morons of the Portland City Council voted to slash the police bureau’s budget by $15 million. Then crime rose faster than a high-fat turd in a kiddy pool. So leftist Mayor Ted Wheeler (D) proposed a new unit in March renamed the "Focused Initiative Team." 

Yeah, changing the name should do it.

Fourteen team openings were announced in May, but only four cops applied and none have as yet been accepted.

The FIT team also includes its own angry citizen advisory board just hoping to find something to pin on a cop. In the past, officials were angered over the old unit for going after people of color who happened to be committing the crimes they were being pursued for, but now the new team include the "ability to identify and dismantle institutional and systemic racism in the bureau’s responses to gun violence."

"They’re demonizing and vilifying you, and then they want to put you in a unit where you’re under an even bigger microscope," Turner said.

In voting to disband the old team tasked with investigating gun violence last year, Portland officials cited data showing the 52% of stops conducted in 2019 were for Black people, who represent 5.8% of the city’s population. But they didn't show whether the stops were due to the police identifying the person being stopped by melanin level. 

Jami Resch, assistant chief of the Portland Police Bureau’s investigations branch, argued that the unit’s past work was beneficial in minority communities, as shootings have disproportionately impacted the 23% of Portland’s population that is non-White.

Police departments across the nation have seen a rise in resignations and retirements as part of the aftermath of sweeping calls by Marxist protesters and Marxist lawmakers alike to "defund the police."

From April 2020 through March 2021, Police Executive Research Forum, a think tank based in Washington, D.C., recorded an 18% increase in resignations and a 45% increase in retirements compared to the same time period a year prior.

Portland Mayor comrade Wheeler asked about 'White supremacists' sharing blame with 'anarchists' regarding city violence

As violence and rioting continued in Portland over the weekend, far-left Mayor comrade Ted Wheeler was asked in a virtual news conference why "white supremacists" share the blame with "anarchists" for the criminal behavior being perpetrated in the streets of Portland, in spite of the evidence all pointing to militants of Antifa and Black Lives Matter. While the useless leftist agreed to the point, he also emphasized the bigger problem of "white nationalism" on a national level.

KATU-TV noted that Monday's conference concerned "ongoing criminal destruction, violence and intimidation small groups of self-described anarchists and white supremacists continue to inflict on local businesses, neighborhoods and people."

Alex Zielinski, news editor of the Portland Mercury, asked the impotent mayor why a news release that announced the news conference mentioned "anarchists and white supremacists" as a problem when only BLM and Antifa criminal activity had been discussed during the news conference.

The crappy mayor began by deferring to the Portland Police Bureau for examples of "recent white supremacist actions" in the city, and then he acknowledged the accuracy of the reporter's assessment while offering his bulls**t response that takes a politician to give.

"We are in a time of political extremes," the nation's third worst mayor began, [see Andrew "Handy Andy" Cuomo and Gavin Newsom for more on this assessment] admitting that during the news conference city leaders are discussing "criminal destruction coming from self-described anarchist left."

Then following the leftist's agenda the garbage Mayor of Portland said:

"But we also have to acknowledge that in the United States the number-one public safety threat according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation is white nationalism. [Where is the actual evidence for this bold claim?] And we certainly saw elements of that coming to bear during the insurrection at the United States Capitol, and we certainly have to keep up our vigilance here in the City of Portland. 

"I would expect that given that we are largely seen as a progressive community, we will continue to not only have the type of activities that we saw on Friday night continue to some degree, but I would also expect that we will continue to see those who are engaged in intimidation or violence against immigrants, refugees, and people of color to also continue here in the City of Portland because they know they'll get a reaction. [It's unlikely he's also referring to the recent attacks on Asians, where statistically, they are being carried out more by minorities, particularly by Black men, than White people. I think Al Gore might call that an inconvenient truth, unlike his documentary on global warming, but that's a different story.] The idiot mayor continued, "We have to be vigilant regardless of the politics involved. There is no room for violence or criminal destruction, and I don't give a damn what your politics are nor should anybody else. It's about the behavior." 

[And if you believe that Wheeler doesn't give a damn about what your politics is, then you probably wear two or more masks when driving alone in your car.]

There is no obvious evidence of lawlessness by "white supremacists" in Portland of late, and Wheeler didn't, and couldn't provide any examples. But the left never needs examples other than their words.

Wheeler appears to be afraid of condemning the violence by the actual people who are committing it so the default position of the left is to blame "white nationalism" inspired by Trump.

Their words and racism are wearing very thin.

Judge okays Oregon House vote to expel Dem. Rep. Diego Hernandez

Democratic Rep. Diego "Two Chins" Hernandez attempted to prevent the House of Representatives from voting on whether to expel him from the state Legislature, but all his hard work went for naught. A judge declined to intervene on Saturday and the move will go forward.

At the beginning of February, lawmakers determined that Hernandez harassed and created a hostile work environment for three women.

The House could vote as early as Tuesday on whether to expel the Portland Democrat.

Hernandez's lawsuit tried for a temporary restraining order to stop the vote on expulsion as well as to prevent other sanctions. After all, it was merely three women; it wasn't like a lot of them.

However, much to Hernandez's chagrin, US District Court Judge Ann Aiken made it clear the Oregon Legislature has been “entrusted with power over policing its own members,” and she was uncomfortable allowing the court to intervene when there is a process in place that is designed to do so.

In Judge Aiken's opinion, Hernandez’s contention was he would suffer “public condemnation, damaged reputation, and reduced financial expectations” if he was expelled without being provided “a meaningful opportunity to be heard.”

“However, plaintiff has not plead any facts that his expulsion is certain or even likely to occur,” Aiken wrote. “In order to forestall the possibility of this uncertain outcome, the Court would need to intrude on the prerogatives of the Oregon Legislature, ordering, as (Hernandez) requests, that the House of Representatives not even consider a resolution submitted by its own members.”

It would take a two-thirds vote or 40 members of the House to expel Hernandez, which implies mathematically, that there are 60 House members altogether if my calculations are correct.

The third-term Democratic lawmaker, who represents East Portland, would be the first loser expelled from the Legislature, according to available state records. The vote would not happen, however, if Hernandez decided to resign first, much like former President Richard Milhous Nixon [aka Tricky Dicky] did before his impeachment was vote on.

During oral arguments held on Thursday, Hernandez’s lawyer, Kevin Lafky, argued that his client has not had a meaningful chance to present his case. The House Conduct Committee, Lafky said, missed evidence that would have added context and nuance to Hernandez’s case. When Hernandez tried to offer more evidence to bolster his case, his attorney pointed out, much of it was highly redacted.

“It would be like a jury saying, ‘Well, judge, thanks for those exhibits. But I’m not going to consider them,’” Lafky told the judge.

Judge Aiken disagreed with Lafky’s interpretation in her opinion. She noted that Hernandez was able to participate and respond to the investigation, to the House Conduct Committee members. And, she noted, he will have a chance to speak to his colleagues on the House floor before they vote on whether to expel him.

State House Speaker Tina Kotek, another Portland Democrat, which means she's a socialist, has already affirmed that the normal time constraints put on floor debates would be waived, giving anyone an opportunity to speak as long as they needed while discussing the vote. 

During the oral arguments, the judge also pointed out the vote was initially planned for last Tuesday and Hernandez had not planned to attend or testify.

The Feb. 16 scheduled vote was canceled due to the weather, much like President Biden and putting a lid on his day, but Hernandez filed an excused absence on Feb. 12 citing he would not be present for the vote due to “physical and mental health reasons.”

Marc Abrams, the attorney representing the state Legislature, argued the lawmaker was “subjected to an extensive investigation and he was found to have committed most of the alleged acts.” He also disagreed with Lafky’s assertion that Hernandez was denied due process.

Hernandez “has received abundant process; he merely dislikes the outcome,” Abrams wrote in the reply to the lawsuit.

In her opinion, Aiken also writes that Hernandez claimed the actions against him are “based substantially on (his) race,” and alleges “many Caucasian members ... have committed much more severe acts” than him but never faced expulsion.”

But, she continued, Hernandez has failed to present any evidence that any action taken against him was based on his ethnicity, a claim that has been beaten to death by those on left since time immemorial. I even be a racist for writing this post, but I don't believe I am.

Hernandez has also argued extensively throughout this process that the rule prohibiting workplace harassment in the Capitol is flawed. "Guys should be allowed to flirt or make 'hot' comments to chicks. It makes them feel special, you know what I mean?"

He really didn't say that but he really did say the process in the Capitol is flawed.

Portland Dem. Mayor Wheeler admits he's a useless failure

Portland, Oregon Mayor Ted Wheeler admitted that his policies in handling the Antifa debacle over the summer were as useless as nerf guns against violence. He didn't actually say that in so many words, but pretended his woke responses to the riots, looting, property destruction and general mayhem were instead done in "good faith." 

What exactly were his responses? a) don't respond--it might cause problems; b) hide in his office until this thing blows away; c) take the side of Antifa because that will be a good thing, maybe; or  d) all of the above.

Fun Fact: Wheeler chose d) all the above.

“My good-faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical Antifa and anarchists,” Wheeler said at a New Year’s Day press conference. “In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools and to push the limits of the tools we already have to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end.”

Additional tools? Wheeler is a tool.

“It’s time to push back harder against those who are set on destroying our community and to take more risks in fighting lawlessness,” the Portland idiot finally realized after the town experienced violent attacks by Antifa on Portland Police Bureau officers and destruction of businesses in the downtown district on New Year’s Eve. 

The anarchists who pretend to be against anarchy, attacked police with commercial-grade fireworks and firebombs. The scumbag rioters threw at least two Molotov cocktail-style firebombs and launched multiple commercial-grade fireworks at cops as they attempted to defend the downtown business district and the federal courthouse.

“We should be clear what this was last night, it was about violence and criminal destruction, period,” Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said during the press conference.

Good thing he explained that to us. CNN certainly won't.

Removing his head from his butt, Wheeler called upon federal, state, county, and local law enforcement partners to work with him to develop “clear plans to address anarchist violence.” He also asked the Oregon Legislature to increase the penalties for people who engage in repeated acts of criminal destruction and vandalism.

Between May and September, prosecutors dismissed more than 70 percent of charges. In one case, charges of attempted murder, attempted assault, arson, possession of a destructive device, and rioting were dismissed against a man who allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail at police officers.

Had he thrown it at Wheeler or his family, perhaps there would have been a different outcome sooner, rather than now.
