Not Very Sunny Hostin feels unsafe in neighborhoods flying Old Glory

The good news is that America's 250th birthday came and went without incident. The bad news is that someone forgot to warn Sunny [whose given name is an oxymoron] Hostin that millions of terrifying suburban homeowners might celebrate by displaying . . .  the American flag. OMG!

The View co-host has once again insisted that neighborhoods covered in Old Glory make her feel "unsafe," reviving a claim she first made in 2021 as though patriotic front porches are the latest national security threat. Interestingly, Hostin has never been attacked by a patriot nor the flag, so she might actually be pulling our collective leg.

During a discussion about America's semiquincentennial, Hostin reminded viewers that she still stands by her mental disorder that creates irrational fear and causes her to get the willies.

"I said this on this show many, many years ago, because this is my tenth year on the show," Hostin recalled. "I said there are times when I walk into a community and I see American flags all over the community and I suddenly feel unsafe because there’s a section of this country that has co-opted the American flag, and they equate being an American or an American flag with White supremacy and that should never be the symbol of White supremacy, but they have weaponized."

Can we finally agree that white supremacy is incredibly minute in our nation, and while it exists, it's highly probable that Hostin has never been the target of such disgusting behavior by someone flying Old Glory at their home. This is why her condition is possibly mental, or perhaps it's racist as she sees everything in terms of race and anger.  

One almost expects the next public service announcement to warn Americans that exposure to excessive patriotism may cause spontaneous cable news anxiety. 

Hostin's comments followed discussion of a viral image showing a group of white nationalists riding a Washington, D.C., Metro train while wearing American flag-themed insignias. The extremists deserve condemnation, but Hostin's leap from a handful of actual racists to ordinary families flying flags outside their homes requires an Olympic-level long jump.

"That, for me, was a defining image of modern America for Black Americans," Hostin said.

Apparently, the existence of fringe extremists now means every retired veteran, every family celebrating Independence Day, and every homeowner with a flagpole is part of the same terrifying landscape. By that logic, criminals who wave rainbow flags would make Pride flags suspicious, yet somehow that standard only seems to apply to Old Glory. And let's not forget those folks whose uniform has an American flag displayed.

Guest host Michelle Buteau eagerly joined the performance after spending the Fourth of July celebrating with a cake reading "America, Do Better B----," because Buteau is also a virtue-signaling person and knows that it's safer to be condemning our great nation than to take a conservative stand defending her.

"When you say it’s the best nation. The best nation for who? Because if we are celebrating 250 years, what are we exactly celebrating, is what I want to know," Buteau said. "So I’m really glad that picture was taken, because that picture is how we feel walking into many rooms, down the street. That picture is how we feel and nobody will believe us. So look at that picture and understand how it feels."

But somehow Buteau and Hostin along with her ilk, have no intention of leaving for what they see as a "better country." That's because there is no better country.  

Fortunately, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin managed to inject a rare dose of sanity into the conversation.

"The flag belongs to all of us," Griffin replied.

That simple statement seems almost revolutionary on an anti-American program determined to portray the Stars and Stripes as some sort of warning label.

Hostin has been telling this story for years. Back in 2021 she defended another media personality who claimed American flags made her uncomfortable, insisting that neighborhoods decorated with the nation's flag sent an unmistakable message.

"When someone of color, a Black woman, is telling you her feelings, people need to listen and not, you know, repudiate it and not say, 'Well, that can’t be true,'" Hostin had said at the time, later adding, "When I drive into a neighborhood, and it’s not July 4th, and I’m not in a predominantly military household neighborhood and there are flags, American flags, everywhere, alongside Trump flags, alongside flags with stars in a circle, I feel threatened."

Then came the dramatic conclusion.

"Because the message is very clear," she continued. "It’s a message of White supremacy. It’s a message of racism, and it’s a message of their country, not my country. I don’t understand why that would receive backlash. People need to listen when I am saying this is how I feel. This is my experience in this country."

Feelings are real. They are not automatically facts.

If someone genuinely believes that a cul-de-sac full of parents grilling burgers beneath American flags is an inherently dangerous place, the problem probably is not the flags. More likely, it is years of media conditioning that has convinced some people patriotism itself is suspicious by leftists like Hostin.

The irony is impossible to miss. The same commentators who insist the American flag "belongs to all of us" also spend an astonishing amount of time explaining why ordinary Americans should be viewed with suspicion for displaying it. You can't have it both ways, but she's too thickheaded to see this.

If Sunny Hostin truly feels endangered every time she sees Old Glory fluttering in the breeze, Americans can be forgiven for wondering whether the fear is rooted in reality, or simply another daytime television performance designed to turn patriotism into pathology.

I vote for pathology.

Mass shooter wannabe in GA, stopped by good guy citizens with guns

A Georgia man is sitting in jail after allegedly deciding that the proper response to a verbal argument at a family reunion was to come back dressed like he was auditioning for a low-budget militia movie and start shooting at people.

According to authorities in Lee County, deputies responded to reports of a shooting around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7. When they arrived, they found a “large gathering” and one individual suffering from a gunshot wound who was transported to a local hospital.

From the Lee County Sheriff's Office Facebook page:

“During the investigation, deputies interviewed multiple witnesses, reviewed security camera footage, and gathered physical evidence from the scene. Witnesses reported that Jeffrey Tyler Kinzer had been involved in a verbal confrontation with individuals attending a large gathering in the area. Witnesses further reported that Kinzer later returned on foot carrying an AR-style rifle and wearing body armor. Witnesses stated that Kinzer fired toward the gathering, and multiple individuals returned fire toward his location.”

Now, if you've been paying attention to the media for the last several years, you already know how this usually works. If the bad guy has a gun and innocent people are helpless victims, CNN clears the schedule, MSNBC breaks out the crying panelists, and every blue-check activist on social media starts demanding that your grandfather's squirrel rifle be outlawed by lunchtime.

But this story has one inconvenient detail the anti-gun crowd really hates: armed citizens fought back.

The “large gathering” was reportedly a family reunion, and according to witnesses, the whole thing started when Kinzer allegedly drove by yelling racial slurs.

“He’s talking junk. He started yelling the ‘N-word,’” witness Ramell Green said. “He kept going, so we let him go. We just discussed what had happened after.”

Reasonable people would probably leave it there. Allegedly, Kinzer decided to escalate things dramatically.

The homeowner said she called the Lee County Sheriff’s Office after Kinzer first left the area. About five minutes later, Kinzer and the driver reportedly returned.

Only this time, according to witnesses, Kinzer showed up wearing body armor and carrying an AR-15-style rifle.

That tends to change the mood of a family barbecue pretty quickly.

Those outside spotted him from a distance and started running for cover before shots were fired.

“...People started taking positions because they saw he had a gun. And I was in the middle of the street,” Green said. “And I grabbed my gun and started returning fire and moving with him.”

This is what regular citizens sometimes have to do when evil shows up uninvited and heavily armed.

Green said there were roughly 20 relatives outside at the time, and he was trying to protect his family members from getting slaughtered. Which, judging by the details released so far, may very well be exactly what happened.

Kinzer, referred to as 36 or 41 years old in reports, was apparently wounded during the exchange, though not seriously enough to prevent him from being treated, released, and booked into the Lee County Jail afterward. He was released on $5,000 bond the next day.

And here's where things get especially interesting.

The sheriff’s office said Kinzer “acknowledged to deputies that he had been involved in the shooting.” Authorities also indicated he wasn’t alone when he returned to the gathering, though so far he appears to be the only person arrested.

There are still major unanswered questions about the incident, including whether Kinzer bonded out and what exactly motivated him to allegedly launch what sure looks like a racially charged attack on a family gathering.

But based on the initial reports, one thing seems pretty obvious: armed family members returning fire likely prevented a far worse tragedy. Thank heaven for the Second Amendment. Which may also explain why this story hasn’t exactly become the media obsession of the week.

Think about it. If this had ended with multiple dead victims and nobody fighting back, we’d probably still be getting wall-to-wall coverage complete with dramatic music, emotional town halls, and demands for sweeping gun control legislation. Politicians would already be standing at podiums insisting that law-abiding Americans need fewer rights because a violent lunatic exists.

Instead, the story involves legally armed citizens protecting their families and stopping an alleged attacker before the body count climbed.

Funny how quickly the national press loses interest when the facts ruin the narrative.

Texas Democrat Who Called to Imprison ‘Zionist Jews’ Loses House Runoff by Nearly 30 Points

There was a time, not even that long ago, when anti-Semitism was the one form of bigotry that united both parties in absolute condemnation. No serious candidate would dare peddle conspiracy theories about Jewish control of banks, media, or government. That was a given. Apparently, it is not anymore.

Something ugly has taken root on the progressive left. What began as campus “anti-Zionism” in the aftermath of the October 7th massacre has crept into mainstream Democratic politics, wearing the language of activism like a disguise. Yet this week in Texas, voters delivered a verdict that should give every American a small but meaningful reason for hope. 

Sometimes the system actually works.

Texas Democratic congressional candidate Johnny Garcia defeated the far-left activist Maureen Galindo in Tuesday night’s runoff election for the state’s 35th Congressional District, thereby ending a campaign marked by her repeated anti-Semitic social media posts. Galindo lost to Garcia by nearly 30 points.

Garcia, a former hostage negotiator and public information officer for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, had faced mounting attacks from Galindo throughout the campaign. These included accusations that he supported putting “Jews and Mexicans in warehouses” because of his support for immigration enforcement. Galindo, by contrast, seemed rather more taken with the idea of putting Jews in warehouses.

Good riddance.

Maureen Galindo did not merely lose an election on Tuesday night. She was annihilated, decisively, publicly, and by members of her own party. Every single point of that 30-point demolition was earned.

The things she actually said:

Let us not sanitize this. Galindo, a sex therapist and housing activist, proposed on Instagram turning an ICE detention center into “a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking.” That alone would have been vile enough. But she kept going.

It would also serve as “a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists,” she wrote. Read that again. A candidate for the United States Congress wrote that and still there are a boat load of secular Jews who, for some inexplicable reason, vote Democratic religiously.

On Texas Public Radio, she declared that “Zionist Jews own our media, our banks, and all of our politicians,” classic antisemitic tropes, lifted straight out of a 1930s propaganda pamphlet. But do not worry, she assured everyone she was not anti-Semitic. “I’m against Zionist Jews,” she clarified. As if that distinction could fool anyone.

She peddled conspiracy theories linking Israel to Jeffrey Epstein. She claimed Israel controlled ICE and the Department of Homeland Security. She called Zionists “genocidal European colonizer freaks” and said they were not “real Jews.”

Texas Dem Senate Candidate James Talarico Proudly Rebrands As "Talafreako," Launches Official Freak Merch Line

AUSTIN, TX—In a bold strategic masterstroke that political experts are calling "the most normal thing a Democrat has done all week," Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico has fully embraced his new nickname "Talafreako," graciously bestowed upon him by Republican opponent Ken Paxton.

Why did Paxton do so? Because Talarico freaking is.

The progressive leftist is now selling "I'm a Talafreako" T-shirts on his campaign website, proving once and for all that nothing says "serious Senate contender" like turning an insult into your entire brand identity, and while one can claim to be a socialist, it's capitalism that paved the way.

While speaking at a general election kickoff event in Houston this week, Talarico encouraged supporters to purchase a T-shirt, saying, "I also saw that Ken Paxton started calling me ‘Talafreako,’ and I am proud to announce that we have ‘I'm a Talafreako’ T-shirts on our website. So, when you go home tonight, make sure you grab one." 

After Talarico exited the stage, the crowd at the Houston rally began chanting "Talafreako" repeatedly, in what observers described as either unbridled enthusiasm or the auditory equivalent of a cry for help.

Despite the bravado, some believe that, with Talarico already having to deal with a series of highly controversial resurfaced comments, the move will backfire with moderate Texas voters. Talarico’s prior comments include saying that "God is nonbinary," that there are six genders and that the Bible supports abortion.

He offered no examples, no proof of his blasphemous and biological claims. For example, he said in 2021 during a Texas House debate on a bill restricting transgender athletes, that there are six biological sexes. “Modern science recognizes that there are many more than two biological sexes — in fact, there are six.” This cretin was referring to chromosomal variations (e.g., XX, XY, XXY, XYY, XXX, XYY). Critics called it unscientific or an overreach to argue sex is a spectrum; he has since clarified there are two sexes (men and women) while noting rare chromosomal conditions deserve dignity.

In 2021 he said "God is nonbinary." In the same or related transgender policy debate, he stated: “God is both masculine and feminine and everything in between. God is nonbinary.” He later explained it as intentionally provocative to mean God transcends human categories, citing Galatians (“in Christ there is neither male nor female”). 

Republicans and critics viewed it as insulting to Christianity or Jesus and even to God the Father.

In 2020 our genius lefty claimed that racism is a "virus." After Ahmaud Arbery’s killing. He posted on X equating racism to a virus and wrote: “White skin gives me and every white American immunity from the virus. But we spread it wherever we go—through our words, our actions, and our systems. We don’t have to be showing symptoms—like a white hood or a Confederate flag—to be contagious.” 

He called for diagnosing it within ourselves and supporting #BlackLivesMatter. 

When restrictions on transgender participation was proposed regarding men in women's sports, this idiot called parental concerns a "far-right conspiracy."

He criticized Christian nationalism, and supported progressive policies on abortion and immigration.

A strategist familiar with the Senate race remarked to Fox News Digital that "Talarico can’t run from his record of supporting every freaky left-wing policy under the sun."

"Selling merch that says ‘Talafreako’ on it is just going to remind people that he is on the wrong side of every 80/20 issue," the strategist said, adding, "It’s so weird."

The thing is, the dude really is a freak and if Texas votes him in, they will learn their mistake the hard way.

"ChudTheBuilder" Charged with Attempted Murder

The internet has spent years proving that fame is easier to get than wisdom, and the saga of Dalton Eatherly, better known to his online devotees as “ChudTheBuilder,” is the latest exhibit in that digital museum of poor life choices.

Eatherly managed to transform what most people would consider a fast track to unemployment and public embarrassment into a surprisingly lucrative online brand. His formula was simple: walk up to strangers, yell racial slurs, film the reactions, upload the footage, and wait for the clicks to roll in. In the social media age, apparently all you need is a smartphone, a bad attitude, the personality of a scumcrumpet, and a complete lack of shame.

Now the 28-year-old live-streamer is facing attempted murder and multiple felony charges after allegedly shooting a black man outside a Tennessee courthouse earlier this month. The incident has reignited arguments about whether these professional outrage merchants are merely exercising free speech or deliberately pushing themselves toward increasingly dangerous behavior in pursuit of internet fame.

Authorities say Eatherly shot Joshua Fox, a veteran, outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville on May 13. Fox was reportedly struck multiple times and airlifted to a hospital for emergency surgery. 

Eatherly was also injured during the confrontation, as well he should be.

Prosecutors have charged the lowlife with attempted criminal homicide, employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. During a Thursday hearing, his bond was lowered from $1.25 million to $1 million.

According to investigators, what began as a verbal confrontation escalated rapidly. Court documents allege that Eatherly, obviously a coward, reached toward a firearm inside his jacket before the two men became involved in a physical struggle. Surveillance footage reportedly showed bullets ricocheting near bystanders outside the courthouse. 

After the shooting, Eatherly claimed in audio later posted online that he acted in self-defense.

Before finding himself on the wrong side of a criminal indictment, Eatherly had built a sizable following through videos that revolved around provoking confrontations in public while loudly deploying racial slurs. He consistently defended the behavior by invoking the First Amendment, a constitutional provision that has been forced to endure all sorts of creative interpretations over the years.

His notoriety accelerated in 2025 after a road-rage encounter involving a black woman went viral, a situation where he felt less frightened by a woman.

Eatherly says the backlash cost him his contracting job and nudged him toward becoming a full-time internet personality. From there, his audience exploded. He accumulated more than 200,000 racist followers on X, launched fundraising campaigns, and cultivated a fan base that viewed him as some kind of free-speech crusader battling political correctness.

Others saw something far less noble and more as a piece of human excrement.

Critics argue that Eatherly belongs to a growing class of live-stream provocateurs who turn public outrage into a business model. The angrier people get, the more views arrive. The more views arrive, the greater the incentive to push the boundaries even further.

“He’s trying to build this following by angering people,” Joshua Fisher-Birch of the Counter Extremism Project told Rolling Stone. “They are incentivized over time to do more and more radical actions in the real world to gain followers online.”

That progression is exactly what worries legal experts and civil rights advocates. Tennessee attorney David Raybin noted that repeatedly approaching strangers while armed and aggressively hurling slurs could potentially move beyond protected speech and into conduct that creates a reasonable fear of imminent harm.

Meanwhile, portions of the online alt-right have rallied behind the cow chip known as Eatherly.

Reports indicate that supporters raised more than $100,000 for his legal defense within a day of his arrest, with fundraising totals continuing to climb afterward.

The courtroom drama has already started matching the online circus. During Thursday’s hearing, Judge H. Reid Poland III ordered several disruptive attendees removed, including the defendant's fellow scumcrumpet, Jake Lang, who left the courtroom in handcuffs rather than by choice.

As the legal process unfolds, Eatherly’s case has become a convenient vessel for every modern debate about online radicalization, rage-bait content, and whether social media platforms reward increasingly reckless behavior. Those conversations will continue for months.

Prosecutors, however, appear focused on a much narrower question: whether a man who built an online audience by provoking confrontations ultimately crossed the line from internet spectacle into real-world violence. That distinction tends to matter quite a bit more in court than it does in a live-stream chat.

Hopefully, Eatherly will get what he allegedly deserves.

Republican beats Democrat in deep blue state after his social media history gets uncovered

A Republican pulled off a genuine shocker in deep-blue Northern Virginia on Tuesday, snagging a county-level seat that nobody saw coming after the Democrat nominee's ancient social media skeletons came tumbling out of the closet.

Jeannie LaCroix, 64, won the special election for a Prince William County Board of Supervisors seat, beating Democrat Muhammed Sufiyan Casim, 36, a Muslim Pakistani immigrant. The turning point? Revelations that Casim, back in his 20s in the 2010s, had posted a bunch of racist, misogynist, and antisemitic stuff online, as Potomac Local News laid out.

Casim tried to clean it up in an interview with the Prince William Times. "I wasn’t realizing the cultural weight and the context, so I used that word foolishly, but not in a derogatory or prejudicial way," he said, explaining that he had used the N-word to refer to his black friend. "Back in those days, a lot of kids would use that word both with kids of African American origin and people of any brown ethnicity." He also suggested he had just been copying the behavior of "kids" of "brown ethnicity" at the time.

In a March 2 X post where he confirmed he wasn't dropping out, Casim went the victim route, blaming the rhetoric of the former Republican chairman of the Board (who left office seven years ago) for emboldening neo-Nazis, then adding, "As a Muslim-American who has experienced what it’s like to live in America after 9/11, discussions around cultural sensitivity are very important to me."

LaCroix took 43.7% of the vote to Casim's 37%, with write-ins grabbing 19.2%, per the Prince William County Office of Elections via Potomac Local News. The Republican rode the wave of a fractured Democratic side. Pamela Montgomery, who lost the primary to Casim, jumped in as a write-in just a week before Election Day because of those decade-old posts. She even led in fundraising despite the late start.

"For Democrats, confronting racism is not optional. It is foundational," Montgomery, who is Black, wrote in a letter published by the Prince William Times on Election Day. "When racist language surfaces, especially from someone seeking public office, the response should be clear: acknowledge it, condemn it, and demand accountability."

This race filled the vacancy left by Democrat Margaret Franklin, who resigned after winning a Virginia House of Delegates seat in January. Franklin had crushed Casim in the Dem primary for that state House spot by more than 2-to-1.

Prince William County is the kind of affluent, diverse D.C. suburb that Democrats usually own. Kamala Harris carried it by 18 points in 2024, and Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger won it by 34 points in November 2025. The northeastern precincts around Woodbridge are some of the bluest in the whole county, per 2024 VoteHub data.

LaCroix's win stands out as one of the rare flips from blue to red in a special election during President Donald Trump's second term. Meanwhile, over the past year, Democrats have been flipping multiple state legislative seats in areas Trump carried by double digits in 2024.

Sometimes the past really does refuse to stay buried, especially when it's dumb stuff someone posted online in their 20s. And sometimes voters decide that "I was young and foolish" doesn't quite cut it when you're running for office. Who knew accountability could swing both ways?

Miami GOP head calls for GOP party official to resign

Florida Republican leaders are demanding that Miami GOP Secretary Abel Alexander Carvajal resign immediately after explosive revelations emerged about his involvement in a conservative group chat riddled with vile racial slurs, antisemitic statements, and other disgusting content.

Miami-Dade County Republican Party Chairman Kevin Cooper declared that "anyone associated with this chat should resign immediately." Meanwhile, Republican state Rep. Juan Porras directly called on Carvajal to step down on Wednesday, blasting the messages as "deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable."

Carvajal launched the group chat last fall, mainly for conservative students at Florida International University. Leaked messages revealed participants unleashing a barrage of racial slurs targeting Jews and Black people. Among the worst offenders were Dariel Gonzalez, then the College Republicans' recruitment chairman, and Ian Valdes, the Turning Point USA chapter president. Carvajal chimed in occasionally, deleted some messages, but never shut the chat down, according to the Miami Herald.

In one exchange, Gonzalez wrote, "You can f*** all the ks you want. Just don't marry them and procreate," warning about the danger of having "a little k running arounddddd." Valdes shot back, "I would def not marry a Jew." [The k abbreviation apparently stands for the disgusting antisemitic slur that rhymes with 'bike'.]

In another antisemitic moment, Valdes renamed the group chat "Gooning in Agartha," a reference to crude slang for male masturbation combined with the mythical underground civilization pushed by Heinrich Himmler, Adolf Hitler's right-hand man. Valdes called Agartha "esoteric nazism essentially," and Gonzalez described it as "Nazi heaven sort of."

Elsewhere, Valdes pushed, "We need to have a moratorium on immigration temporarily unless it's someone from a first world country….Yeah I obviously mean whites."

The chat also featured plenty of misogynistic trash talk about women, along with repeated use of the n-word and violent, hateful comments against Black people. Gonzalez sneered, "Ew you had colored professors?!" adding, "I reguse [sic] to be indoctrinated by the coloreds." He later insisted, "Avoid the coloreds like the plague."

Another exchange reported by the Floridian Press included a user spewing violent fantasies about wanting to "exterminate ns in the gas chamber" and "eat ns," among other sickening rants. Gonzalez's response? "How edgy."

Carvajal, the Miami GOP secretary who created the chat, once he was caught claimed, "had I known and had I seen some of these messages, I would have called the police." When pressed on whether he would resign, he shot back, "Of course not … for a chat where the messages that were stated were not mine."

Porras made it clear that Carvajal's failure to shut down the chat and take decisive action as a leader is indefensible. The state representative, who also serves as a Miami-Dade GOP state committee member, stressed that "Hatred toward Jewish Americans, racist rhetoric, calls for violence, all these ideas have no place in our party, our state, or our country."

"Leadership carries responsibility," Porras added. "When someone in a leadership role engages in this kind of behavior, it damages the trust placed in our party by voters across Florida. The Republican Party stands for law, order, and respect for every American. We believe in the dignity of every person."

Cooper, as the first Jewish chairman of the Miami-Dade Republican Party, said he was "shocked" by the WhatsApp messages.

Hunter College Prof. not fired but on leave for racist hot-mic comments

Hunter College has placed an associate biology professor on leave after she managed to drop some truly vile comments during a virtual Community Education Council meeting. The backlash was swift and entirely deserved. 

As of this writing, she has not been fired.

This all went down on February 10 when Allyson Friedman, who moonlights as a parent at a public school, was attending the meeting virtually. A Black eighth-grade student was voicing concerns about her Upper West Side school potentially shutting down. That's when Friedman's hot mic betrayed her.

"They’re too dumb to know they’re in a bad school," she was heard saying.

She kept going: "If you train a black person well enough, they’ll know to use the back. You don’t have to tell them anymore."

Disgusting.

The remarks appeared to riff on a quote from Carter G. Woodson in his 1933 book "The Mis-Education of the Negro," which the district's interim acting superintendent had referenced earlier. Woodson wrote: "If you make a man think that he is justly an outcast, you do not have to order him to the back door. He will go without being told."

The meeting went dead silent for about 10 seconds. Two other adults immediately called her out, while others sat there in shock, hands over mouths. The moderators apologized to the student and moved on.

Hunter College President Nancy Cantor issued a statement Wednesday addressing the mess."I write to share an update about actions that Hunter College is taking as a result of the incident during a recent virtual meeting of the New York City School District 3 Community Education Council in which abhorrent remarks were heard coming from a district parent who also is a Hunter employee," Cantor wrote.

"As I shared earlier, we are investigating this matter under the university's applicable conduct and nondiscrimination policies. Pending the outcome of our investigation, the employee has been placed on leave."

The statement did not clarify whether Friedman is still getting paid. Earlier, the CUNY school had said it was "reviewing" her conduct after the audio spread online and ignited widespread outrage.

Friedman tried to clean it up later, claiming she was explaining systemic racism to her own child "by referencing an example of an obviously racist trope." She added that her full remarks were not completely audible due to the microphone mishap.

"My complete comments make clear these abhorrent views are not my own, nor were they directed at any student or group," Friedman told the New York Times.

Public officials were having none of it and demanded action.

Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman Sigal called the comments "outrageous."

"It is particularly despicable that these vile words were uttered while children were giving testimony at the meeting, exposing them to this hatred," he said.

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. posted on X: "She still isn't fired???" 

United Jewish Teachers president Moshe Spern wrote: "She shouldn't be near any child at all. Her words are abhorrent and racist. I feel awful for all those children who witnessed this. Hunter shouldn’t allow her to continue in her role until a full investigation is complete."

Cantor noted in her statement that counseling services and an employee assistance program are available for anyone in the school community needing support.

"This painful incident unfolded at a meeting where Black History Month was being celebrated, and the pernicious and enduring effects of anti-Black systemic racism were being discussed, especially with regard to the role of educational institutions in addressing them," Cantor wrote.

"Hunter has long embraced such a role, which requires constant vigilance to remain attentive and responsive to the ways in which we continually draw and redraw discriminatory social lines."

The professor is tenured, so this could drag on, but the hot mic moment has left her exposed and the school scrambling. In a world where educators are supposed to model better behavior, this one set the bar somewhere below basement level.

Want to shovel snow? 5 forms of ID please. Want to vote? No problem.

Snowcialism has officially arrived in the Big Apple, folks. Comrade Mayor Zohran Mamdani, is dead set against requiring ID to vote because apparently that's racist or a poll tax or Jim Crow 2.0 or whatever the talking point is this week. But when it comes to signing up to shovel snow for the city during a monster blizzard? Oh, then he wants no less than five forms of identification. 

Welcome to peak progressive logic.

The NYC Sanitation Department website lays it out clear as day: to register as an emergency snow shoveler, you need two small photos (1-1.5 square inches), two original forms of ID plus copies, and your Social Security card. That's right, multiple layers of paperwork just to pick up a shovel and earn some extra cash clearing sidewalks and hydrants. 

Soon they'll be asking us to provide fingerprints, a DNA sample, and an Xray to prove our right to shovel snow.

Mamdani, ever the helpful socialist cum communist, hit a presser Saturday and urged New Yorkers to step up. "For those who want to do more to help your neighbors and earn some extra cash, you too can become an emergency snow shoveler. Just show up at your local sanitation garage… with your paperwork which is accessible online," Hizzoner said at a presser Saturday.

The gig pays $19.14 an hour, jumping to $28.71 after the first 40 hours in a week. Not bad for some side hustle, but good luck if you don't have your ID portfolio ready to go.

Of course, this comes from the same guy who's tied to the New York chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. The DSA hates voter ID laws with a passion, calling them out as "racist voter ID laws and secret poll taxes like the ‘SAVE America Act.'" Their website proudly declares, "Our candidates for office stand firm against racist voter ID laws and secret poll taxes like the ‘SAVE America Act.'"

So what is it called when people must produce 5 forms of ID to shovel snow?

Social media lit up with ice-cold mockery over the glaring hypocrisy. Fox News host Jimmy Failla quipped on X, "This is Jim SNOW 2.0." X user Casey Cook posted, "No joke. To register to shovel snow in Mamdani’s NYC….for the impending snowstorm, you need two types of identification. Can’t make this up." 

Another user piled on with a Greta Thunberg gif, captioning it, "Mamdani's snow shovelers must be 'Eligible to work in the United States,'" followed by her famous "how dare you."

A City Hall spokesperson tried to clean it up for The Post, explaining, "As with any employer, the City of New York has a legal obligation under federal law to verify work authorization and maintain proper documentation before issuing payment. We are not legally permitted to hand out checks without completing that process."

Fair enough on the federal I-9 rules, but try telling that to the left when the same logic applies to election integrity. Suddenly it's suppression.

Jingle Bells Gets the Joy Reid Treatment: Now It's Racist, Because Why Not Ruin Christmas?

Look, if there's one thing we've learned over the years, it's that nothing says "holiday spirit" quite like a former cable news host dredging up century-and-a-half-old minstrel show trivia to declare war on a tune that's been jingling bells since before the Civil War. Enter Joy Reid, the ex-MSNBC personality who parted ways with "The ReidOut" earlier this year, timing that, let's be honest, feels like a gift to anyone tired of prime-time grievance theater. 

She's got 1.3 million Instagran followers hanging on her every biased repost, and this week, she decided to drop a Yuletide bombshell: "Jingle Bells" isn't just a sleigh ride classic; it's a covert Confederate dog whistle mocking Black folks.

The clip she shared, now going viral faster than fruitcake at a family gathering, features some guy decked out in a Santa hat and ugly Christmas sweater, eyeballing a plaque in Medford, Massachusetts, where James Lord Pierpont supposedly penned the ditty back in 1857. "This is where a racist Confederate soldier wrote ‘Jingle Bells’ to make fun of Black people," blares the on-screen caption, like a Black Friday sale sign for outrage. 

The video piles on: Pierpont was broke, so he whipped up the original "One Horse Open Sleigh" for minstrel gigs where white actors in blackface lampooned Black people fumbling through winter frolics. Oh, and get this—Pierpont later ditched his abolitionist kin up North to fight for the Stars and Bars, cranking out pro-slavery anthems on the side.

Reid, never one to let a good grievance go unamplified, slapped her own caption on it: "Lord have mercy." That's her way of saying, "See? Even Santa's got skeletons in the sleigh." The video name-drops a 2017 Cambridge University Press paper, "The Story I Must Tell: ‘Jingle Bells’ in the Minstrel Repertoire," where author Kyna Hamill observes, "The legacy of ‘Jingle Bells’ is, as we shall see, a prime example of a common misreading of much popular music from the nineteenth century." Hamill adds, "Its blackface and racist origins have been subtly and systematically removed from its history."

Fair enough; history's messy, and minstrelsy was a vile stain on 19th-century pop culture. But here's the kicker, and it's a big one: Hamill herself has been pushing back hard against this exact spin for years. Back in 2017, she told the Boston Herald flat-out, "I never said it was racist now," stressing that her work zeros in on the song's performance history and origins, not some grand verdict on Pierpont's authorial intent or a call to cancel carols. She's not out here auditioning for the Grinch; she's a theater historian unpacking how tunes like this got sanitized over time. Yet here we are, 2025, with Reid's repost breathing fresh life into the distortion, turning academic nuance into social media napalm, because everything in Joy's joyless mind is racist if you can think it so.

Over on Fox's "Outnumbered," panel treated Reid's share like the latest front in the endless culture skirmish. And the X-verse is lit up like a Christmas tree on fire, with people blasting out parodies ("Jingle bells, Joy Reid smells...") and eye-rolls about how this is peak "race-baiting rhetoric" from a woman who seems constitutionally incapable of spotting a silver lining without first hunting for the tarnish. Her allegiance bias in all her reporting over the years is obvious as she sees racism in every story.

At the end of the day, if we're cherry-picking 1850s sheet music to torch holiday playlists, what's next, banning "Rudolph" for bullying the differently nosed? 

Reid's got her lane, and it's paved with perpetual victimhood, but maybe, just maybe, we can let "Jingle Bells" jingle on without the scarlet letter. After all, the real horror show isn't American history, it's pretending every old lyric is a personal attack on the present. 

Dashing through the snow with a little less sanctimony? Now that would be music to anyone's ears.

White Lib Melts Down, Spews Idiotic Racist Gibberish at Winsome Earle-Sears—And Boy, Does He Look Dumb

Folks, if there's one thing I've learned in this clown show called politics, it's that where you find a heap of racism, you're knee-deep in stupidity too. And brother, that combo exploded like a bad firework at a Virginia college football game on Saturday, all thanks to some unhinged leftist white dude targeting Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican powerhouse running for governor.

Imagine this: Earle-Sears is just trying to enjoy a game at James Madison University when this genius fan, let's call him Captain Barfbreath, starts hollering racist garbage her way. "Go back to Haiti!" he screams. "Traitor!" Oh, the drama. 

Except... plot twist! Earle-Sears isn't from Haiti. She's Jamaican, you absolute muppet. Strike one for the dimwit, and strike two, he picked the worst possible moment to audition for America's Got Tantrums: right in front of a camera. Now the whole internet's roasting him like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Turns out, our hero's name is Scott Pogorelc, a staffer at Zeta Associates—which, fun fact, is tucked under the Lockheed Martin umbrella. Oh, and he's a big-shot Democratic donor to boot. Small world, right? The kind of guy who probably virtue-signals harder than a solar-powered Prius.

But Earle-Sears is a class act, as always. She fired back on X without missing a beat: "I’ve been called names no one should ever hear, and I've watched people hold racist signs meant to shame me. And because I have an R next to my name, few care,” she wrote. “But I am no victim. Words won't break me, and they won’t stop this campaign. We are going to win."

Boom! 

Not only did Pogorelc botch Earle-Sears' entire background like a kid flunking geography, he served it up on a silver platter for the world to meme into oblivion. Lockheed's HR folks must be speed-dialing his desk as we speak, how long till he's updating that resume?

And get this: It wouldn't shock me one bit if this knucklehead had a Black Lives Matter flag flapping in his yard back in 2020, right next to his "Hate Has No Home Here" yard sign. Bet he logs hours on social media screeching about how Trump and his voters are the real racists. Yet here he is, straight out of the 1950s playbook, pulling the "go back to where you came from" card on a Black woman, why? Because she dares to think for herself and slap that R on her ballot. The hypocrisy is thicker than Kamala Harris's skull.

See, your garden-variety progressive is usually slicker than this, they cloak their ugly biases in "allyship" jargon and DEI buzzwords. But nobody handed Pogorelc the mask. He just went full villain monologue, unscripted and unhinged. What a way to go down in flames.

Cincinnati city councilwoman racist says white victims of the mob attack 'begged for the beat down

Cincinnati's City Hall is burning hotter than hell in summer. 

Councilwoman and obvious racist, Victoria Parks, is catching heat for a Facebook comment that has everyone's blood boiling. Under a post from someone named Leohna Alia La JCannon, showing a brutal downtown beatdown that went viral, an account tied to Parks posted: "They begged for that beat down!" Yeah, she really said that. 

She next doubled down, adding, "I am grateful for the whole story." Grateful? What a witch.

The Facebook account screaming Parks' name checks out, listing her job as City Council Member for Cincinnati, with a résumé boasting former Hamilton County Commissioner and Chief of Staff to Todd Portune. It totally matches her official city bio. 

This is no catfish; it’s the real deal. 

Her page is a time capsule of council work, stretching back years. Oh, and she has two other Facebook accounts, one quiet since May 27, another gathering dust since 2022. Busy lady.

The internet is losing its damn mind. Screenshots of Parks' comment are spreading like wildfire on X, and the pitchforks are out. Ohio State Rep. Phil Plummer (39th District) isn’t holding back, roaring on X: "Cincinnati Councilwoman Victoria Parks must resign immediately!"

Defending violent criminals who viciously beat innocent people is disgusting and racist. Her words "They begged for that beat down!' are disgusting. Prosecutors must charge the attackers with a hate crime. We must protect our streets!"  

Then there's the X mob piling on: "You’re a racist pig, Victoria Parks," one user pointed out. Another screamed, "THIS IS INSANE!" demanding her head on a political pike.

So, what's the deal with the brawl? 

Picture this: Saturday morning, corner of Fourth and Elm, Cincinnati's downtown business district. A mob savagely lays into two people, with video showing a white woman, who went to the aid of the man that was beign beaten, getting knocked out cold by black man in the street. It's ugly, it's viral, and it has the city on edge.

Now, Parks' bio brags about her leading the charge on declaring racism a public health crisis and making Juneteenth a paid holiday for Hamilton County workers. But who's the racist? It sounds noble, sure, but how do you square that with cheering a brutal street assault?

Cincinnati's council is nonpartisan, but Parks, along with all nine members, got the nod from the local Dems. She's already said she's not running again, planning to ride off into the sunset when her term ends. 

The Fraternal Order of Police isn't having it. President Ken Kober told Fox News Digital: "It’s unconscionable that an elected official would be celebrating violence in the very city she was voted to serve. This highlights the poor political environment that police officers, residents and visitors are currently enduring. Thankfully, there's an election in November. I urge voters to vote for change!" 

Parks? Radio silence, along with other Cincinnati members.

Trial begins for UCLA Prof. who refused to "exercise compassion" with race-based grading

The trial of UCLA accounting professor Gordon Klein is underway in Santa Monica, and it’s a doozy. Klein’s suing the university for $22 million after they suspended him in 2020 for refusing to go along with a student demand to grade Black students more leniently following thug George Floyd’s death. 

Talk about a case that cuts right to the heart of campus insanity.

Back in June 2020, with the nation reeling from Floyd’s death, a group of Klein’s students emailed him, demanding a “no-harm” final exam that could only boost their grades, with shorter tests and extended deadlines. Their reasoned that they were too traumatized to focus on finals because, as they put it, “we have been placed in a position where we much (sic) choose between actively supporting our Black classmates or focusing on finishing up our spring quarter.” They added, “We believe that remaining neutral in times of injustice brings power to the oppressor and therefore staying silent is not an option.”

They insisted this wasn’t about canceling finals for non-Black students but about asking Klein to “exercise compassion and leniency with black students in our major.” Sounds like a not-so-subtle call for race-based grading, doesn’t it?

Klein wasn’t having it. His response was a masterclass in sarcasm that landed him in hot water. “Thanks for your suggestion in your email below that I give Black students special treatment, given the tragedy in Minnesota,” he fired back. Then he went for the jugular: “Do you know the names of the classmates that are Black? How can I identify them since we’ve been having online classes only?” He didn’t stop there, asking about students of “mixed parentage, such as half Black-half Asian? What do you suggest I do with respect to them? A full concession or just half?”

Klein even pointed out that “a White student from [Minneapolis] might be possibly even more devastated by this, especially because some might think that they’re racist even if they are not.” He capped it off with MLK’s iconic line about judging people by character, not skin color. You’d think that’d be a slam dunk, but no, students screenshotted his email, posted it online, and the outrage, virtue-signaling mob descended.

UCLA's cowards caved fast, suspending Klein in June 2020. 

Anderson School Dean Antonio Bernardo tut-tutted in a campus message, saying, “Conduct that demonstrates a disregard for our core principles, including an abuse of power, is not acceptable.” He added, “I deeply regret the increased pain and anger that our community has experienced at this very difficult time.” 

The university reinstated him by September, but the damage was done. Klein’s lawsuit claims UCLA torched his lucrative expert witness practice, where he pulled in about $1 million a year on cases like Michael Jackson’s wrongful death suit. “By this moment, as a direct and immediate result of [his] public suspension and excoriation, Professor Klein’s expert witness practice had been permanently destroyed,” the suit states. 

UCLA’s defense? 

They’re arguing Klein got the boot for his “tone and manner.” Because apparently, it’s not about principle, it’s about hurt feelings. The trial’s expected to wrap up next week, and you can bet it’ll be a circus until then.

This case is a glaring example of how universities bend over backward to avoid being called racist, even when it means punishing a professor for refusing to treat students differently based on race, which by definition, is itself racist. 

Klein’s standing his ground, and win or lose, he’s exposing the absurdity of it all.

UCLA Med School sued for racial discrimination: aka racism

UCLA’s medical school is in a hot mess, and it’s about time. A federal class-action lawsuit just dropped, accusing the school and its officials of thumbing their noses at both California law and a Supreme Court ruling by using race as a factor in admissions. Racism much?

That’s right—despite affirmative action being illegal in the Golden State since 1996 and getting the boot nationwide in 2023, UCLA’s allegedly been playing fast and loose with racial preferences. And the evidence is overwhelming.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in California’s Central District federal court, comes courtesy of Do No Harm, a group founded in 2022 to squash affirmative action in medicine. Students for Fair Admissions, the folks who took down Harvard’s race-based admissions at the Supreme Court, and Kelly Mahoney, a college grad who got the cold shoulder from UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, worked to stop the medical school and UCLA officials from “engaging in intentional discrimination on the basis of race and ethnicity in the admissions process.” 

Good luck finding a clearer case of alleged wrongdoing and what one might consider to be racism where one group of folks with immutable characteristics is favored over another group, usually White people, particularly White men.

This mess kicked into high gear last year when the Washington Free Beacon blew the lid off UCLA’s admissions practices. The report zeroed in on Jennifer Lucero, the dean of admissions, who is accused of prioritizing race over merit. Things got spicy during a 2021 admissions meeting when a Black applicant with grades and test scores “far below the UCLA average” came up for review. Some committee members dared to question if this candidate was cut out for a top-tier medical school. Lucero’s response? She lost her excrement.

“Did you not know African-American women are dying at a higher rate than everybody else?” Lucero reportedly snapped at an admissions officer. The candidate’s subpar scores were irrelevant to the discussion. 

“We need people like this in the medical school,” she insisted. Translation: Forget qualifications, it’s all about the agenda.

California banned affirmative action in admissions nearly three decades ago, and the Supreme Court doubled down in 2023. This kind of race-based decision-making is supposed to be dead and buried, but under Lucero's watch, starting in 2020, it’s allegedly been business as usual. 

The results have been catastrophic. 

UCLA’s medical school plummeted from 6th to 18th in U.S. News & World Report’s rankings for medical research within three years of Lucero’s hiring. In some cohorts she admitted, over 50 percent of students flunked standardized tests in emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics. We’re talking future doctors who can’t hack the basics in medical intervention.

Naturally, it gets worse. 

One professor recounted a student in the operating room who couldn’t identify a major artery when asked, then had the gall to berate the professor for calling her out. Another said students finishing clinical rotations were clueless about basic lab tests and, in some cases, couldn’t even present patients properly. This is what happens when you ditch merit for quotas.

Lucero, who moonlights as the vice chair for equity, diversity, and inclusion (D.E.I.) in UCLA’s anesthesiology department, allegedly led the charge to lower the bar for Black and Latino applicants while demanding near-perfect scores from Whites and Asians. One admissions committee member put it bluntly: The bar for underrepresented minorities is “as low as you could possibly imagine.” After all, who needs competency and grades when you have diversity, yadda yadda.

Here’s the kicker: Lucero’s too slick to openly admit it’s about race. Instead, she reportedly used proxies like zip codes to achieve the same discriminatory results. Sneaky, but not sneaky enough. The Free Beacon’s bombshell last May sparked an investigation by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in March 2025. 

HHS’s Office of Civil Rights is now digging into whether Lucero’s admissions office holds Black and Hispanic applicants to a lower standard than their White and Asian peers. “HHS will not tolerate informal admissions practices and institutional policies that promote racial discrimination at HHS-funded institutions,” the agency told the outlet. “This investigation reflects the Administration’s commitment to honor the hard work, excellence, and individual achievement of all students and not just those of particular racial backgrounds.” 

By lowering requirements for any group of people clearly implies that they are considered to be inferior to those one expects the highest standards. This is what might be called 'quiet racism.'

But wait, there’s more. Just days before the lawsuit hit, The Free Beacon dropped another bombshell: UCLA is still doing it and thus is breaking the law.

On April 8, the medical school circulated a memo outlining “guiding principles for student representation on the admissions committee,” which includes third- and fourth-year medical students alongside faculty. The guidelines mandate considering race when picking student admissions officers. “The Chairs of the [admissions committee] will review all submitted recommendations to ensure representation from those who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQ+,” the memo reads, according to a screenshot obtained by The Free Beacon.

Legal experts are floored. “Putting in writing, while under federal investigation for discrimination, that your faculty will ‘review’ the proposed slate of students included in a program ‘to ensure representation from those who identify as BIPOC and LBGTQ+’ is astonishingly brazen,” said Dan Morenoff, executive director of the American Civil Rights Project. “You have to wonder how it’s possible for no one either in the administration or with its outside counsel to even roughly read either the law or the room.” 

Let’s cut to the chase: This is as clear-cut as it gets. California law and federal law both say race-based admissions are illegal. UCLA’s medical school, led by Lucero, is allegedly flouting both while producing doctors who can’t pass basic tests or identify arteries and might even pass out at the sign of blood, for all we know.

The lawsuit needs to deliver a wake-up call—fire Lucero, recommit to merit, and stop this discriminatory nonsense. If not, UCLA’s not just failing its students; it’s failing every patient who’ll one day depend on them. Stay tuned, because this fight’s just getting started.
