Cincinnati's former white female police chief once was sued by subordinates for alleged discrimination against white male cops

Cincinnati just fired its police chief after a disastrous run marked by skyrocketing crime and tone-deaf leadership.

A termination announcement revealed that Teresa Theetge was "begged" to put more officers on the streets during a crime-riddled summer last year. She was removed from her role as the city's top law enforcement officer on Thursday after only about three years on the job. She previously served as a police officer in Cincinnati for 35 years.

City Manager Sheryl Long made Theetge's termination announcement.

"I recognize Chief Theetge’s more than 35 years of service to the Cincinnati Police Department and to this City. At the same time, after completing this review, it’s become clear that a change in leadership is necessary for the department moving forward," Long said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

In a scathing termination letter, Long blasted Theetge for what she viewed as ineffective leadership and poor communication, including failing to adhere to a summer anti-violence plan."As just one example, you admitted you did not agree with the City’s Summer Safety Plan, which included more police coverage in the urban core, and you admitted that I begged you to fill the police work details called for in the summer plan."

This is the kind of accountability cities desperately need but rarely deliver when progressive experiments in policing go off the rails.

Cincinnati found itself under national scrutiny last August after a viral beatdown in the city's downtown left a woman with neurological damage. In the early-morning hours of July 26, a confrontation outside the LoVe nightclub in the downtown business district led to a horrific beatdown captured on video. The footage spread like wildfire on social media, showing at least two White victims pummeled into the ground by a group of Black suspects. Even after the victims were down, the attackers kept stomping away, leaving one with a possibly life-altering brain injury.

Over the next month, seven people were arrested and charged in connection with the beating. Long also ripped Theetge for two shootings in the Fountain Square area downtown last October, saying she "failed to provide leadership in response to two shootings" in the area that month.

"You further admitted that on October 14 (the day after the second shooting) you chose to go to a play rather than attend a public safety town hall meeting . . . " Long wrote in the termination letter, later adding that Theetge "should not need to be told to attend a public safety meeting . . .  the night after a shooting on Fountain Square."

Priorities like that speak volumes.

Adding to the mess, in May of last year four White male officers filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Theetge, the city's first female police chief and a woman as white as milk. They accused her of passing them over for promotions and preferred assignments because of their race and sex.

"Defendants’ intentional and discriminatory practices in assigning Lieutenants to preferred assignments has disproportionately favored non-White males and/or females, without legitimate, non-discriminatory justification, thereby denying Plaintiffs equal employment opportunities," the suit says in part.

"The City and Chief Theetge have actively and systemically undertaken efforts to promote, advance, and make promotion and assignment decisions that are preferable to women and minorities, and to the exclusion of white men, including through hiring, diversity initiatives, outreach programs, promotional processes, and other steps that demonstrate both a systemic practice of discrimination against white males, and that there are background circumstances to support the suspicion that the defendant is that unusual employer who discriminates against the majority," the lawsuit also says.

Another blue city learns the hard way that DEI policing and weak leadership produce exactly the chaos you would expect.

Cincinnati city councilwoman racist says white victims of the mob attack 'begged for the beat down

Cincinnati's City Hall is burning hotter than hell in summer.

Councilwoman and obvious racist, Victoria Parks, is catching heat for a Facebook comment that has everyone's blood boiling. Under a post from someone named Leohna Alia La JCannon, showing a brutal downtown beatdown that went viral, an account tied to Parks posted: "They begged for that beat down!" Yeah, she really said that.

She next doubled down, adding, "I am grateful for the whole story." Grateful? What a witch.

The Facebook account screaming Parks' name checks out, listing her job as City Council Member for Cincinnati, with a résumé boasting former Hamilton County Commissioner and Chief of Staff to Todd Portune. It totally matches her official city bio.

This is no catfish; it’s the real deal.

Her page is a time capsule of council work, stretching back years. Oh, and she has two other Facebook accounts, one quiet since May 27, another gathering dust since 2022. Busy lady.

The internet is losing its damn mind. Screenshots of Parks' comment are spreading like wildfire on X, and the pitchforks are out. Ohio State Rep. Phil Plummer (39th District) isn’t holding back, roaring on X: "Cincinnati Councilwoman Victoria Parks must resign immediately!"

Defending violent criminals who viciously beat innocent people is disgusting and racist. Her words "They begged for that beat down!' are disgusting. Prosecutors must charge the attackers with a hate crime. We must protect our streets!"

Then there's the X mob piling on: "You’re a racist pig, Victoria Parks," one user pointed out. Another screamed, "THIS IS INSANE!" demanding her head on a political pike.

So, what's the deal with the brawl?

Picture this: Saturday morning, corner of Fourth and Elm, Cincinnati's downtown business district. A mob savagely lays into two people, with video showing a white woman, who went to the aid of the man that was beign beaten, getting knocked out cold by black man in the street. It's ugly, it's viral, and it has the city on edge.

Now, Parks' bio brags about her leading the charge on declaring racism a public health crisis and making Juneteenth a paid holiday for Hamilton County workers. But who's the racist? It sounds noble, sure, but how do you square that with cheering a brutal street assault?

Cincinnati's council is nonpartisan, but Parks, along with all nine members, got the nod from the local Dems. She's already said she's not running again, planning to ride off into the sunset when her term ends.

The Fraternal Order of Police isn't having it. President Ken Kober told Fox News Digital: "It’s unconscionable that an elected official would be celebrating violence in the very city she was voted to serve. This highlights the poor political environment that police officers, residents and visitors are currently enduring. Thankfully, there's an election in November. I urge voters to vote for change!"

Parks? Radio silence, along with other Cincinnati members.

This isn’t just a Cincinnati story, it’s a five-alarm fire about trust, power, and what the hell elected officials are thinking when they hit "post." Stay tuned, because this pot’s gonna boil over.

Armed Suspect Who Attempted To Breach Ohio FBI Office Killed

Have we reached a breaking point in this country where regular Americans are seeing our institutions of law and order an existential threat? Doesn't it make sense that the guy who tried to break into the FBI headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio was thinking along those lines?

After a long standoff, officials in law enforcement announced they had shot and killed the armed suspect Thursday who attempted the break-in by firing a nail gun into the FBI building.

The suspect is identified as 42-year-old Ricky Shiffer.

Shiffer reportedly flashed an AR-15-style rifle and fled the scene as law enforcement gave chase. They closed of Interstate 71 and State Route 73 as Shiffer headed toward the state capital of Columbus.

“At approximately 9 AM this morning an armed subject attempted to breach the Visitor Screening Facility at #FBI Cincinnati,” the local FBI office posted on Twitter. “After an alarm and a response by FBI special agents, the subject fled north onto Interstate 71.”

The incident at FBI headquarters was linked a short time later to a lockdown in nearby Clinton County, where residents were advised to stay inside and lock their doors.

There is no evidence, at this time, that the suspect was a Trump supporter but that's likely not a sufficient reason not to blame the former President for the actions of another individual he likely does not know, has never met, nor condones his actions.

Mass gun violence in Cincinnati as 9 people are shot by a violent gun

A video showing people fleeing from the sounds of a violent gun shooting multiple times in Cincinnati this past weekend. The video is a 15-second clip from a resident's doorbell camera and you can hear multiple gunshots in the background.

Lt. Colonel Mike John [no relation to the former pitcher Tommy] confirmed there had been an active shooter in the area and that multiple shots were fired, FOX 19 reported. At least nine people were injured by the violent gun in the shooting, but none of them are in critical condition.

A police officer fired one shot at the person with the violent gun but he or she fled the scene. It is not known whether that person was wounded by the good guy with a gun.

There were no suspects in custody as of 5 a.m. Sunday and police believe there was only one violent gun with a shooter involved, but they couldn't confirm that.

"Seen people running and it was just [a] melee," a witness with questionable grammar and poor sentence structure told FOX 19. "Chaos. I actually saw the cops running down the street trying to find the guy who they were looking for."
