Trump announces Tulsi Gabbard's replacement

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he is appointing Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William J. “Bill” Pulte as Acting Director of National Intelligence following Tulsi Gabbard’s resignation last month.

The move puts one of Trump’s most loyal and aggressive reformers in charge of the nation’s intelligence apparatus. Pulte will continue serving as head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency while also taking the reins at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Trump highlighted Pulte’s management credentials when announcing the appointment.

“William has deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America, the safety and soundness of the Markets, and over 10 Trillion Dollars at Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac,” Trump said. The president also credited Pulte with helping deliver a “substantial increase” in housing market health over the past year.

Pulte succeeds Gabbard, who announced on May 22 that she would step down to support her husband as he battles a rare form of bone cancer. Her resignation becomes official at the end of June.

Gabbard leaves behind a tenure that dramatically reshaped the intelligence community. Her “ODNI 2.0” overhaul reduced the agency’s size by 40 percent, saving taxpayers an estimated $700 million annually. Her office also declassified more than 500,000 pages of previously withheld records, including documents related to allegations that the Obama administration weaponized intelligence agencies during the “Russia Hoax.”

Before departing on June 30, Gabbard plans to release additional investigative findings concerning Havana Syndrome, the origins and handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, and what she describes as the weaponization of the federal government.

Pulte is hardly a newcomer when it comes to taking on Washington’s political establishment. Since assuming leadership of the FHFA in March 2025, he has aggressively pursued allegations of financial misconduct involving several high-profile Trump critics.

Among the most notable cases is New York Attorney General Letitia James, whose civil fraud lawsuit against Trump made national headlines. Following an FHFA referral from Pulte, James was indicted on federal bank and mortgage fraud charges in Virginia. Pulte also referred Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA), a central figure in Trump’s first impeachment proceedings, to the Department of Justice over allegations of mortgage fraud.

The grandson of legendary homebuilder William J. Pulte, who built PulteGroup into a Fortune 500 powerhouse, Pulte charted his own course in private equity before entering public service.

He is also well known for his charitable work. In 2013, Pulte launched Blight Authority, a nonprofit organization focused on removing abandoned properties and combating urban decay in Detroit and Pontiac, Michigan. The effort earned widespread praise for improving neighborhood safety and revitalizing struggling communities.

Pulte later became a social media phenomenon through what became known as “Twitter Philanthropy,” personally giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars to Americans facing medical expenses, food insecurity, and other financial emergencies.

Now, with the intelligence community added to his portfolio, Pulte will have an opportunity to bring the same disruptive management style that has made him a favorite among Trump supporters and a frequent target of the president’s critics.

Soros-funded Leftist NY Attorney General Letitia James Hit with More Criminal Referral

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) was hit with two federal criminal referrals Wednesday alleging she may have committed homeowners insurance fraud. [Imagine that, a politician making money the old fashioned illegal way.]

Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director William Pulte alleged in the missives, obtained by The Post, that James may have falsified information in filings with Illinois-based Allstate Insurance Company and Florida-based Universal Property Insurance.

The referrals were sent to US Attorney for Northern District of Illinois Andrew Boutros and US Attorney for Southern District of Florida Jason Reding Quinones.

They come four months after a federal judge in Virginia dismissed a criminal indictment against James accusing the Empire State’s top prosecutor of mortgage fraud.

Both of Pulte’s referrals cite insurance documents posted on social media by Mike Davis, a close ally of President Trump and founder of the conservative judicial advocacy group Article III Project.

The documents appear to suggest James represented to the Illinois-based insurer that a Norfolk, Virginia, property she purchased in 2020 “would be occupied by a single adult, with no children,” Pulte wrote.

“Instead, according to the post, she knew the house was actually occupied by four people, three children and her niece,” the Housing chief continued. “As such, it appears Ms. James may have defrauded the Illinois-based insurance company.”

In the Florida referral, Pulte alleged James “made false representations” to Universal Property Insurance that the same Norfolk home “would be unoccupied five months out of the year.”

“Frustrated by repeated failures, where judges and grand juries have rejected their attempts to charge Attorney General James, Trump and his political enablers keep abusing their power to pursue a vendetta against her by trying to rename, refile, and repeat baseless allegations,” attorney Abbe Lowell said in a statement.

“They continue this improper revenge campaign instead of helping bring down the rising cost of living in this country,” Lowell added. “These desperate tactics will fail, just as every previous attempt has failed, and exposes an Administration that has abandoned its responsibility to the American people in favor of petty political payback.”

US District Judge Cameron Currie dismissed the DOJ’s mortgage fraud case against James last November after finding then interim US Attorney Lindsey Halligan was improperly appointed to her position and “had no lawful authority” to secure indictments.

Oh look at that, folks. Letitia James, the same Democrat Attorney General who has spent years turning the New York legal system into her own personal Trump hunting ground, now finds herself staring down not one, but two fresh federal criminal referrals for what sure smells like good old-fashioned homeowners insurance fraud. Shocking, yes, but karma too.

The woman who weaponized her office against political enemies suddenly gets a taste of actual accountability?

Because apparently, when you are a powerful Democrat prosecutor, the rules on telling the truth to insurance companies just do not apply the same way they do to the rest of us peasants and President Trump.

These referrals went straight to the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, Andrew Boutros, and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Jason Reding Quinones. And get this, they dropped just four months after a federal judge in Virginia already tossed out a previous criminal indictment against James for mortgage fraud. One fraud case down, but don't worry, the hits just keep on coming.

So which is it, Letitia? Single adult with no kids, or empty half the year? You can't have it both ways, unless of course you're a Democrat who thinks the law is just a suggestion for thee but not for me.

Of course, her lawyer Abbe Lowell came out swinging with the usual Democrat script, aka Trump Derangement Syndrome, (TDS).

Blah, blah, blah. The same tired talking points every time one of their own gets caught in the crosshairs. It is never their fault. It is always a “vendetta,” never actual evidence of wrongdoing. Meanwhile, the rest of America is just supposed to ignore the pattern of a top law enforcement official allegedly playing fast and loose with the truth on official documents. Yeah, sure.

And lest we forget, US District Judge Cameron Currie already dismissed the DOJ’s mortgage fraud case against James last November after ruling that the interim U.S. Attorney at the time had no lawful authority to bring the charges. Procedural dismissal, not an exoneration on the merits, but you know the left will spin it as total innocence anyway.

Here is the bottom line, guys. If Letitia James has been committing insurance fraud and mortgage fraud, she should face the music just like anybody else. No special treatment for blue-state Attorneys General who spent years trying to bankrupt political opponents through the courts. Equal justice under the law is the American way. Or at least it used to be, before the two-tiered system became the new normal under Democrats.

This is a woman who promised to go after Trump even before she went into office, and even before she had anything to charge him with, the very definition of lawfare.

Michael Cohen says he was "pressured" and "coerced" by Alvin Bragg and Letitia James to testify against Trump

Here we go again with another chapter in the never-ending Trump legal soap opera, but this time the script flip is coming from the guy who used to be the star witness against him.

Michael Cohen, the former fixer who spent years singing like a canary with a grudge, is now admitting he was "pressured" and "coerced" by Alvin Bragg and Letitia James to deliver the anti-Trump testimony they so desperately wanted.

In his latest Substack missive (because, of course, it's on Substack), Cohen drops this gem:"I felt pressured and coerced to only provide information and testimony . . .  against President Trump."

And just in case that wasn't clear enough, he doubles down: "I felt pressured and coerced to only provide information and testimony that would satisfy the government's desire to build the cases against and secure a judgment and convictions against President Trump."

He says the pressure started right from the opening bell in his first meetings with the prosecutors working for Bragg and James.

Regarding James specifically, Cohen writes: "Letitia James made it publicly known during her 2018 campaign for attorney general that, if elected, she would go after President Trump. Her office made clear that the testimony they wanted from me was testimony that would help them do just that. Again, I felt compelled and coerced to deliver what they were seeking."

Trump, never one to miss a chance to say "I told you so," called the whole thing proof of a "very corrupt investigation" in a Friday night chat with conservative media site The Daily Wire. He's been calling Cohen a liar since the beginning, and now the liar is basically agreeing that the fix was in to get him to talk. Cohen walks through the two big cases: the civil fraud suit from James' office about Trump supposedly puffing up asset values for loans, and the Manhattan DA's criminal hush-money extravaganza involving Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal.

Juries bought it both times, of course.

But now Cohen is out here saying: "Letitia James and Alvin Bragg may not share the same office or political calendar, but they share the same playbook. Both used their platforms to elevate their profiles, to claim the mantle of the officials who 'took down Trump.' In doing so, they blurred the line between justice and politics; and in that blur, the credibility of both suffered."

And the reason he's finally speaking up? A federal appeals court just breathed new life into Trump's push to toss the hush-money conviction, and Cohen figures staying quiet would make him complicit.

Another Clinton Judge Goes Full Activist to Save Comey and Letitia James – And Yeah, She Once Fought for Leniency for a Guy Who Raped and Murdered a Three-Year-Old

Look, we all know we're numb to Democrat judges pulling stunts at this point, but every once in a while one of them does something so brazen it still makes your jaw hit the floor. Such is the case with U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie – Clinton appointee, Democratic donor, and apparently lifelong member of the "feel bad for the scumcrumpet, not the victim" club.

This is the genius who just tossed the indictments against Jim “Higher Loyalty” Comey and New York's favorite mortgage-fraud-maven AG Letitia James because, technically without prejudice, so the charges could theoretically come back,  but good luck with that when the statute of limitations on Comey's case conveniently died five minutes after he got indicted.

Currie believes that the interim U.S. Attorney who brought the cases, Lindsay Halligan, was "unlawfully appointed." Translation: Orange Man Bad, so we're nuking the prosecutions from orbit.

And just to make sure you understand the kind of "impartial jurist" we’re dealing with here, let's rewind to Currie's pre-bench career. As a private defense attorney she went to bat for one Larry Donnell Williams, a charming fellow who in 1987 decided to rape and murder a three-year-old girl. Currie thought the guy deserved leniency. Let that one marinate for a second. But sure, tell me again how it's Republicans who are "soft on crime."

Here's the Washington Post report: 

"U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie ruled that Lindsey Halligan, the prosecutor overseeing both cases, had been unlawfully appointed as interim U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia and, therefore, indictments she single-handedly secured against Comey and James must be thrown out."

Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed "all available legal action including an immediate appeal," while white House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called Currie exactly what she is: another "partisan judge" who took "unprecedented steps to try to intervene in accountability."

Of course Comey's lawyers are crowing that their guy can't be recharged because the five-year statute of limitations clock never actually stopped ticking. Currie's opinion basically high-fived that argument on the way out the door.

Remember, Trump-appointed interim U.S. Attorney Erik Siebert looked at the evidence against Comey and James, shrugged, and said "nope." Trump said you're fired" and put Halligan, a former White House aide and one of his personal lawyers, in the job. Days later, boom, indictments for Comey lying to Congress about leaks and James playing fast and loose with mortgage docs.

The DOJ argued the president has broad authority to fill those vacancies. Democrat judges, shockingly, disagreed.

So here we are: another Clinton judge playing goalie for the swamp, shielding a guy who wrote a book about his own integrity while leaking like a screen door on a submarine, and a New York AG who apparently thinks mortgage fraud is just aggressive home shopping.

If this is the game the left wants to play, weaponizing obscure appointment statutes to kill legitimate prosecutions,  then fine, gloves off. Every Democrat sacred cow needs to be dragged into court yesterday. The judicial coup has been running unchecked for years. Time to oppose it with extreme prejudice.

Because if defending child rapists and springing Jim Comey is what passes for "justice" on the left, the rest of us have zero reason to keep playing by Marquess of Queensberry rules.

Letitia James' Cop-Assaulting Fugitive Grand-Niece: The Family Business of Dodging the Law in a Subsidized Virginia Pad

Promising if elected, she'd find something on Trump she could use to indict him

Ah, the ironies of progressive privilege never cease to amuse . . . or outrage, depending on your tolerance for hypocrisy. New York's iron-fisted Attorney General Letitia James, who's spent years crusading against "systemic injustice" and turning her office into a personal vendetta machine against Donald Trump, now finds herself indicted for allegedly gaming the mortgage system to house a relative with a rap sheet longer than a CVS receipt. And get this: that relative, her grand-niece Nakia Thompson, isn't just any deadbeat like Hunter Biden, she's a self-avowed cop-hater who's been arrested twice for assaulting officers, all while crashing rent-free (or so she claims) in one of James' Virginia properties. 

Court docs don't lie, guys, but apparently James' conscience might.

Let's rewind to the prologue of this family saga, because Thompson's North Carolina escapades read like a greatest-hits album of bad decisions. 

Back in 2011, in Winston-Salem, she was pinched for "malicious conduct by a prisoner," a felony that sounds like it belongs in a prison-yard brawl scene from Oz. Tacked on were charges of assault on a government official and resisting a public officer, because nothing says "progressive values" like taking swings at cops. 

Thompson pled down that year, copping to the assault and resisting raps, which landed her merely 60 days behind bars. The malicious conduct felony was dropped, naturally. But in 2006, three counts of assault on a government official, plus a misdemeanor probation violation and a larceny charge. Then 2008 brought a bond forfeiture arrest. And don't forget the 2011 traffic citations for driving without a license and a wonky plate. she no-showed the hearing, naturally, leading to a 2019 disposition chat. 

Authorities confirm she's now a full-fledged "fugitive" for absconding parole, hightailing it to Virginia with her three kids after blowing off supervision. As a North Carolina Department of Corrections spokesperson told The New York Post: "Ms. Thompson is listed as an absconder for willfully avoiding supervision by her probation officer.” They added, "She was sentenced to probation for misdemeanor convictions for assault and battery and trespassing. Due to the level of the offenses, the district attorney has designated this case non-extraditable. She faces arrest if located in North Carolina, and possible activation by the court of the suspended sentence."

Fast-forward to the Virginia chapter, where Thompson's been squatting since 2020 in a Norfolk house owned by none other than "No One's Above the Law" Aunt Letitia, the same pad now starring in James' federal indictment for bank fraud. Federal prosecutors, led by U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan in the Eastern District of Virginia, say James lied on her mortgage app, calling it a "second home" she wouldn't rent out to snag a sweet rate. 

But oh, the plot thickens: She allegedly had paying tenants living there, which could net her up to 60 years if convicted on the bank fraud and false statements counts. Thompson herself spilled to a federal grand jury that she's been bunking there with the kids, rent-free. Former newspaper, The New York Times quoted sources close to James claiming she crashes there for "extended periods" herself, sure, because nothing screams "second home, not investment property" like family fugitives and surprise sleepovers.

Virginia has been no picnic for Thompson, either; it's more like a sequel nobody asked for. That same 2020, she pled guilty to petit and grand larceny, both felonies, and got two years' probation plus a $2,020 bill. A bunch of misdemeanors got tossed, along with the felony possession of burglary tools charge (because who needs those in the family photo album?). 

And her driving record? A nine-ticket hall of fame, capped by this summer's July speed-demon special: Four citations in one day, including 80 mph in a 55 zone and an improper highway stop. The year prior she was handed another 80-in-55 ticket, plus a summons for improper child restraint; she was found guilty in absentia and dinged $50. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor? Absolutely. 

It's like she treats traffic laws as optional, much like her parole terms.

James, ever the victim in her own narrative, is denying everything, faster than a Clinton aide at a deposition. Her lawyer branded the charges "tremendous breaches of the public’s trust." At a rally with anti-Semitic socialist NYC mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani, James fired back, framing it all as a Trump-era hit job: "We see powerful voices trying to silence truth and punish dissent and weaponize justice for political gain." Pot, meet kettle, James has built her career on exactly that playbook, from endless Trump probes to her real-estate shenanigans. If she's so keen on "weaponizing justice," maybe start with the family fugitive crashing in her subsidized Virginia crash pad. 

Or is that just "dissent" we need to tolerate?

In the end, this isn't just a little mortgage mix-up; it's a masterclass in the elite left's two-tiered justice system. James prosecutes the little guy for far less while her own kin plays hopscotch across state lines, assaulting cops and racking up felonies. 

If conviction sticks, those 60 years might feel like poetic justice. Stay tuned, because in Letitia's world, the only thing more elastic than her ethics is her definition of "second home."

Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac's NY offices to close due to Letitia James' "corrupt policies"

If arrogance had a face

It looks like New York Attorney General Letitia James is finding out that actions have consequences. Fox News Digital dropped an exclusive bombshell Thursday, revealing that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are permanently shuttering their New York state offices, and they're pointing the finger squarely at James' "corrupt and dangerous business practices."

A source close to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), the folks who keep an eye on government-sponsored enterprises like Fannie and Freddie, said: "We are shutting down the two New York offices for Fannie and Freddie as a result of Letitia James' corrupt and dangerous business practices in the state." It doesn't get much clearer than that.

Expect a public announcement on the closures later today, per Fox.

But don’t worry, New Yorkers, Fannie and Freddie aren’t abandoning you entirely. "We’ll still employ New York residents, and we'll still continue to do mortgage loans in New York, of course," the source added. "But we are going to eliminate our physical presence. And to the extent that we have leases, we are going to be subleasing those." So, they're keeping the lights on for business, but they're done with New York's brick-and-mortar scene.

This move comes hot on the heels of a Department of Justice investigation into James' personal mortgage records, which kicked off earlier this year after FHFA chief Bill Pulte sent a criminal referral to the DOJ in April. The allegations claim that James might have fudged some paperwork to score better loan terms. At the center of the probe is a Norfolk, Virginia, home James bought in 2023, which she listed as her primary residence on mortgage documents and a Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac form. Problem is, as New York's AG, she's legally required to live in the Empire State. 

But that's not all. The referral also flagged a Brooklyn property James bought back in 2001. The certificate of occupancy says it's a five-unit residence, but James' mortgage docs claim it’s a four-unit property. That kind of discrepancy could, shall we say, complicate mortgage agreements, because somewhere along the line, she's lying.

James, of course, is denying any wrongdoing. 

Her office told the New York Times in April that a separate loan application for the Virginia home made it clear she wouldn't be living there full-time, and her mortgage agreement didn’t require it to be her primary residence. Her attorney, Abbe Lowell, went on the offensive, firing off a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi calling the referral "three pages of stale, threadbare allegations with no reason to proceed other than they are ‘based on media reports’ and are the next salvo in President Trump’s revenge tour against Attorney General James." A "revenge tour"? That's some spicy rhetoric.

Speaking of the President, James has made no secret of her disdain for the 47th president. She campaigned for AG in 2018 by promising to go after him with the full force of the law, vowing to expose the "con man" after her victory. Her office racked up nearly 100 legal challenges against Trump's first administration, and after his 2024 win, she doubled down, pledging to keep hauling him into court to "defend the rights of New Yorkers and the rule of law." 

So, here we are. Fannie and Freddie are packing up their New York offices, the DOJ is sniffing around James' mortgage deals, and the political feud between James and Trump is as fiery as ever. Something tells me this story has more twists to come.

DOJ starts criminal investigation into NY AG Letitia "I'm Coming for Trump" James

The Department of Justice is diving headfirst into a spicy criminal investigation of New York’s Attorney General Letitia James, and it’s got all the makings of a political cage match. 

A source with the inside track says a grand jury in Virginia’s Eastern District is slinging subpoenas like bowls of hash, zeroing in on claims that James played fast and loose with the truth about a single-family home in Virginia. Allegedly, she called it her “primary residence” to snag sweeter loan terms. Shady? Maybe. 

But wait, there’s more! The feds are also sniffing around another accusation: James supposedly puffed up the number of livable units in a Brooklyn multifamily property to, you guessed it, score better loan rates. If this smells like déjà vu, it’s because James built her career accusing others of the same financial sleight-of-hand--can you say Donald Trump?

The plot thickens with a criminal referral from William Pulte, Trump’s pick to lead the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Pulte’s not messing around—he’s the one who waved the red flag and told the DOJ to take a hard look at James. 

This all comes hot on the heels of James being the legal thorn in Trump’s side, leading the charge that made him the first U.S. president branded a felon. Remember that case? James went after Trump and his organization, claiming they fudged business records to cozy up to lenders. The result: 34 felony counts, a $350 million fine, and Trump’s still fighting the conviction like it’s a cage match.

Now, James’ attorney, Abbe Lowell, is swinging back, and he’s not pulling punches. “These baseless and long-discredited allegations, put to rest by my April 24 letter to the Department of Justice, are suddenly back in the news just days after President Trump publicly attacked Attorney General James,” 

Lowell sneered. He’s calling this a political hit job, straight-up “retribution” from Trump, despite U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi’s promise to the Senate that the DOJ wouldn’t be weaponized. Lowell’s ready to throw down, saying, “If prosecutors are genuinely interested in the truth, we are prepared to meet false claims with facts.”

Lowell’s not done. He fired off a letter to Bondi, accusing Trump of turning the DOJ into his personal vengeance machine. “The stunning hypocrisy of President Trump’s complaint that the Justice Department had been ‘politicized’ and ‘weaponized’ against him is laid bare as he and others in his administration are now asking you to undertake the very same practice,” Lowell wrote, probably while sipping a coffee laced with righteous indignation. He’s got receipts, too, pointing to Trump’s public jabs at James and calls for revenge.

On the Virginia home fiasco, Lowell’s got an explanation, albeit a questionable one: James never meant to call it her primary residence. A power-of-attorney letter saying otherwise? Just a clerical oopsie, he claims, backed by other documents where James told her lender the truth. 

As for the Brooklyn property, Lowell says Pulte’s leaning on an outdated 2001 certificate of occupancy, ignoring updated records that list the place as a four-unit multifamily residence. Sounds like a paperwork food fight, but the stakes are high.

Here’s the kicker: James has been a ringleader among Democratic AGs suing to block Trump’s agenda since he kicked off his second term. So, is this investigation legit, or is it Trump settling scores with the woman who slapped him with a historic conviction? 

Either way, the DOJ’s wading into a swamp of accusations, counterclaims, and enough political bad blood to fill a miniseries. Grab the popcorn—this one’s gonna get uglier before it’s over.

Trump admin refers NY AG James for possible prosecution over mortgage fraud

You know what they say about payback that it's something that sounds like beach. This may be what is happening with New York Attorney General Letitia "Get Trump" James.

AG James has been punched with shocking allegations by the Trump administration, having accused her of mortgage fraud. That's bigger than Watergate!

In documents obtained by Fox News Channel's The Ingraham Angle, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) sent a criminal referral to the Department of Justice, accusing James of mortgage fraud.

Holy moley!

FHFA Director William Pulte dropped a bombshell in a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, accusing Letitia James of cooking the books to game lending requirements and snag sweeter loan deals. Pulte’s pointing fingers at a Virginia property James allegedly claimed as her main crib—despite being a New York elected official—and a New York building she called a four-unit structure when it’s supposedly five. Why? To score a cushier loan, that’s why.

Fox News contributor and GWU law professor Jonathan Turley, who’s never short on sharp takes, told Laura Ingraham the irony here is “perfectly crushing.” 

He didn’t hold back: “This is a person who prosecuted Trump for everything short of ripping a label off a mattress, and among the charges that were brought in New York, in just the civil but the criminal case, was making false or misleading statements to financial institutions.” 

Turley’s basically saying James is hoisted by her own petard. “As for James, if we apply the Letitia James standard that she created, there’d be little question here. This seems pretty straightforward.”

It gets weirder. James allegedly listed her dad as her husband to file as a married couple. Yeah, you read that right. Turley’s like, “The Supreme Court just stated earlier in March, in a case called Thompson, that they want to see knowing false statements under sections like 10-14, not just misleading statements. These are misleading statements: either it’s your principal residence or it’s not. Either you’re married to your father or he’s your father.” 

Mic drop!

The New York Post dug up documents showing James and her dad listed as “husband and wife” on a property buy in 1983 and 2000. Pulte’s not letting that slide, writing, “While this was a long time ago, it raises serious concerns about the validity of Ms. James’ representations on mortgage applications.” 

James, who’s been Trump’s legal kryptonite, led the 2022 civil fraud suit against him and his crew, gloating through the courtroom drama and cheering when Trump got slapped with a $454 million judgment (now on appeal). In 2025 alone, she’s unleashed at least five legal assaults on the Trump admin, including a push to block DOGE from Treasury systems and another over slashed research grants. Busy lady.

But now? The tables have turned, and the DOJ and James are dodging Fox News’ calls. Turley, back on Ingraham Angle, called the documents “quite damning.” This isn’t the first time someone’s been prosecuted for this kind of thing, and if James’ own standards are applied, she might be in deeper than she’d like.

GOP moves to impeach lawfare judges trying to stop Trump

"I'll get you, Donald Trump"

Margaret Brennan probably knows that a leftist district judge in a Rhode Island backwater can't stop a US president from conducting his Article II powers. And now congressional GOP members aren't sitting back and allowing the lawfare to rule the nation. They are finally moving to impeach two judges whose trite and conflicted rulings have thrown a wrench into President Trump's agenda.

Trump has promised to follow the court's decisions until they are eventually reversed, whether by regular federal appeals courts or by the U.S. Supreme Court. Someday.

To stop what they call a "judicial circus," the Republican Party wants to emphasize that an activist Democrat judge who can't write clear decisions shouldn't be on the federal bench. They also want to point out that a judge who manages his own non-profit organization shouldn't be deciding whether President Trump can stop funding to other non-profits. 

This seems fair.

Republican members of Congress have started actions to impeach two judges who have blocked President Trump's policies. These judicial actions are being guided by Norm Eisen, famous for the Letitia James New York legal drama that was a big hit with the left, and Andrew Weissmann, who led the unfounded "Russia! Russia! Russia!" legal attacks against Trump. Both appear regularly on MSNBC, which some call the "court of clowns."

So now we have to sit back and wait to see how it all pans out. I would not be surprised to see Republicans coming out on top.

NY Gov. Hochul lied about fighting back against President-elect Trump

Democrat New York Governor Kathy Hochul had promised, after Donald Trump won the presidential election in a landslide victory, that she would fight back against potential "revenge or retribution" now that he will be taking the White House in January. Of course, her attorney general, Letitia James also jumped on the TDS bandwagon.

Trump's lawyer, Mike Davis, gave Hochul a clear warning about what would happen if she violates “Trump’s constitutional rights or any other American’s Constitutional rights.”

The warning had a positive impact on the leftist governor as she had a "very cordial" talk with Trump and told him she would work with him on issues involving New York State.

“It was a very cordial call, and listen, I said I’ll work with anybody," Hochul said. “I basically just reaffirmed there are areas we can work together, like infrastructure, where we rely on federal money, and he seems to share my priorities."

She told Trump that she wants to work with him in protecting the CHIPS act that would return manufacturing jobs from overseas with projects and bringing Penn Station and the city’s subway city back to life— and Trump agreed.

During the election, Trump organized huge rallies in areas where Hochul has influence. She had once criticized New Yorkers who backed Trump by saying, "They are anti-woman, anti-abortion, and anti-American because they trash American values and what our country stands for."

Meanwhile, Trump committed to improving the city and saving his hometown.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams also pledged to collaborate with Trump to "develop a realistic and compassionate national strategy for our immigration system."

If Hochul and Adams stick to their promises and cooperate with Trump, there's hope that New York City, which has been overwhelmed by millions of undocumented immigrants, might improve. Perhaps other Democratic leaders will take a similar approach, but that remains to be seen.

FDNY will be hunting down firefighters who booed Letitia James

The full-figure NY Attorney General Letitia "Get Trump" James spoke to the FDNY firefighters in a ceremony at a Brooklyn church last week. It went over like a fart in a 2-man submarine.

Now the head of the FDNY is pushing back against a report that they are actually "hunting" down firefighters who booed and shouted "Trump, Trump, Trump." 

"Oh, come on. We’re in a house of God. First, Uhm, simmer down,” the New York AG said, attempting to simmer the crowd down. “Thank you for getting it out of your system,” she finished up with, rudely talking to these men as if they were children.

In a statement, FDNY Chief of Department John Hodgens said that the firefighters who disrupted James’s speech will be forced to take woke “re-education” classes and may be forced to adopt their own pronouns.

And while they claim to not be hunting down the protestors, they want them to turn themselves in so that they can be disciplined.

"Nobody is hunting anyone down," FDNY spokesman Jim Long told Fox News Digital in an email on Sunday morning. "We’re looking into those who clearly broke department regulations. It has nothing to do with politics. It’s about professionalism at an official event held in a house of worship."

Re-education has everything to do with politics--it's the opposite of freedom of expression as found in the U.S. Constitution and it's a Marxist tactic.

The New York Post first reported that FDNY Chief of Department John Hodgens wrote in an email to department brass that the FDNY’s Bureau of Investigation and Trials was investigating the incident and "will figure out who those members are." If that doesn't sound like hunting down people, I don't know what to say.

"I recommend they come forward. I have been told by the commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward and we don’t have to hunt them down," Hodges said in the email obtained by the Post. If that doesn't sound even more like the FDNY plans to hunt down their Trump supporters, you cannot be convinced otherwise.

The booing erupted as James walked up to the podium to honor the swearing-in of the first full-figure African American woman chaplain of the FDNY, the Rev. Pamela Holmes, as well as other first responders.

Following the ceremony, Hodgens admonished the rowdy behavior of the firefighters.

"Today’s ceremony was about one thing: the accomplishments of the members being promoted," he said. "The members whose behavior distracted from that celebration were an embarrassment and not befitting of the world's best fire department."

James led the months-long civil trial against Trump in New York City that alleged the former president had inflated his assets and committed fraud.

Judge Arthur Engoron handed down his ruling last month, finding Trump liable for more than $350 million in damages and barring him from operating his business in New York for three years.

Let the Shadenfreude begin: Trump Org. Guilty of Tax Evasion

The Trump Organization was found guilty Tuesday of committing tax fraud, to the utter delight of the left. In spite of the fact that former President Trump is not being charged in the case, the left hopes that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, will be able to find something, anything, that will put Trump in prison for the rest of his life.

The jury began deliberating on Monday and found the Trump Organization companies guilty on all charges of tax fraud as well as other crimes. The verdict of the six-week trial was announced Tuesday and included 17 criminal counts for the Trump Payroll Corporation and the Trump Corporation, both which were indicted in July of last year.

The company's CFO, Allen Weisselberg was accused of using illegal measures to reduce payroll liability from executive salaries via untaxed bonuses and perks worth millions. He pleaded guilty in August and agreed to testify against the company to save his sorry butt in a deal with prosecutors. He is expected to serve a mere five months in jail and vowed not to drop the soap like he dropped a dime on the company.

Bragg said that Trump remains under investigation and will be for the rest of his life if nothing can immediately implicate him in a crime.

The investigation initially targeted hush-money payments made by former Trump lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen during the 2016 presidential campaign to porn performer Stormy Daniels, but later widened to include the corporate tax fraud charges. Once Cohen turned on Trump, he instantly became the darling of the left and his name was barely mentioned in the trial.

Weisselberg [aka "The Weasel"] spent several days on the stand where he testified about the tax schemes. He, along with two others, Jeff McConney and Donald Bender, who had been given immunity detailed the methods the Trump Organization executives used to avoid taxes and payroll liability on large bonuses and benefits.

"Weisselberg did it for Weisselberg," Trump's lawyers said repeatedly, a phrase a prosecutor later called their "mantra."

Prosecutors said Weisselberg was one of several top executives who received large annual bonus checks, signed by Trump and logged as if they were payments to independent contractors, and luxury perks such as high-end apartments, private school tuition and cars that were not reported as salary.

And Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Joshua Steinglass said during his closing argument that Trump knew about because he can read minds and asked Juror number four to pick a number; any number.

"The fact is this was sanctioned, and that the practice was known to Mr. Trump," Steinglass claimed.

The Trump Organization could face up to $1.6 million in fines. Sentencing is expected to take place on Jan. 13, 2023.

Alan Futerfas, an attorney for the Trump Organization, said the company will "certainly" file an appeal.

Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, a soft-on-crime progressive, praised the jury and called the verdict "a very just result." 

"The former president's companies now stand convicted of crimes. That is consequential. It underscores that in Manhattan, we have one standard of justice for all," Bragg told reporters outside the courtroom.

Meanwhile, murder is up in Bragg's borough and criminals get their no-bail walking papers before the cops finish writing their reports. Many have called for Bragg's removal from office, but only the Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul, can do that and she isn't going to lift a finger. Bragg has downgraded over half of the felony cases that came before his office, but Trump is a different story.

New York Attorney General Letitia James has indicated the jury's findings could have bearing on a civil case being pursued by her office, which conducted a civil investigation to find something, anything, on Trump. They have the person, now they're looking to find a crime, a maneuver known as 'law fare.'

The criminal case is laser focused on executive compensation while James' case, filed in September, accuses the former President and his children of widespread, long standing efforts to commit fraud and manipulate property valuations [which means they tried to get as much money as they could when selling property--like asking more for your house when selling it than the market says it's worth--something that isn't illegal unless it's Trump and his progeny]. 

The company and the Trumps deny all allegations in that case, which is scheduled to go to trial in October 2023.

DeSantis' office blasts Democrat Sheriff who cannot suck enough at his job

Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' office made a Democrat Texas sheriff sound like a Biden administration wannabe and a total scumcrumpet.

The Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar announced at a press conference, in front of cameras that likely needed polarizing lens filters to reduce the shine from his bald head, that he was opening an investigation into the 50 illegal immigrants that were sheltered, fed and who had volunteered to go to Martha's Vineyard last week.

Salazar said that he was "bother[ed]" by the flights “and so we are absolutely opening up an investigation into this,” in the hope of scoring political points with the left. In other words, he has a person who did what he doesn't like and so he's going to look for a crime. This is the opposite of what his job entails so you can imagine how good a sheriff he must be. In fact, it was his county where over 50 migrants died inside a truck carriage and instead of investigating the deaths, he simply blamed it on the GOP.

Salazar seems reminiscent of former Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, an incompetent coward who mishandled the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in November 2018. Both of these sheriffs are obviously more interested in political opportunities than with actual law enforcement. 

Salazar even admitted that he could not name a single law that was broken and could not identify even one suspect. So he has a person and is looking to dump a crime on that person, much like NY Attorney General Letitia James wants to do with former President Trump.

A spokesperson for DeSantis responded to Salazar’s  political remarks by saying in a statement: “Immigrants have been more than willing to leave Bexar County after being abandoned, homeless, and ‘left to fend for themselves.'”

“Florida gave them an opportunity to seek greener pastures in a sanctuary jurisdiction that offered greater resources for them, as we expected,” the spokesperson continued. “Unless the MA national guard has abandoned these individuals, they have been provided accommodations, sustenance, clothing and more options to succeed following their unfair enticement into the United States, unlike the 53 immigrants who died in a truck found abandoned in Bexar County this June.”

Gov. DeSantis told the press that the people who were contracted to relocate the illegal immigrants to a "sanctuary" location, provided them with a release form to sign and a packet that included a map of Marth's Vineyard and information in Spanish and English. “So it was obvious that that’s where they were going and they gave that to them,” DeSantis added.

The information DeSantis provided was confirmed by Florida's Voice as they had obtained the brochures the illegal immigrants were given before the air conditioned jet flight to Martha's Vineyard.

Florida’s Voice said that the brochure contained information “directly from the Massachusetts government website.”

Trump blasts NY AG James at disposition in her own office

The left has awakened the sleeping fully automatic assault weapon and former President Donald J. Trump. In a series of Truth Social posts, Trump went after New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday and it's obvious that he hasn't lost a beat.

He called James' targeting of him a "witch hunt" for political reasons and posted:

“Seeing racist N.Y.S. Attorney General tomorrow, for a continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in U.S. history! My great company, and myself, are being attacked from all sides. Banana Republic!” 

As Attorney General, James has overseen several legal inquiries targeting Trump, after promising to pursue investigations against him when she was a Democratic candidate for office. This began even before there was evidence of any wrong-doing.

Trump shared two videos demonstrating evidence of James’ partisanship, including one featuring a quote from James in which she promised to sue him as a partisan campaign promise.

And typical of Trump's style, he attacked her for her plush offices in the midst of New Yorkers in a crime epidemic:

“At the very plush, beautiful, and expensive A.G.’s office. Nice working conditions, as people are being murdered all over New York – and she spends her time and effort on trying to ‘get Trump.'”

NY Democratic Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin resigns after being arrested for campaign finance fraud

After his arrest, Democratic Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin decided to resign his position as it would be difficult to conduct business from the slammer or out in the exercise yard.

The resignation came just hours after he was indicted by federal prosecutors in Manhattan of five charges of corruption alleging Benjamin tried to trade a state grant for campaign money from a previous campaign for state Senate.

“I have accepted Brian Benjamin’s resignation effective immediately. While the legal process plays out, it is clear to both of us that he cannot continue to serve as Lieutenant Governor,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said.

“New Yorkers deserve absolute confidence in their government, and I will continue working every day to deliver for them,” she added, without realizing the irony of her statement.

Hochul, an unelected Democrat who replaced disgraced Democrat Andrew Cuomo [aka "Handy Andy"] spent the day dodging questions about her selection of Benjamin, the man who replaced her. Instead, she deflected by focusing on the shooting that took place Tuesday morning in Brooklyn.

Anyway, Benjamin's name will likely stay on the ballot because he would have needed to remove it in February and didn't get busted until this month.

Benjamin’s indictment and resignation should provide Hochul’s Democratic opponents a new opening in their bid to unseat her state’s June 28 primary, a contest the governor appeared to have largely sewn up after Attorney General Letitia James ended her campaign in December. 

Perhaps James' self-serving attacks on scandal-ridden crap weasel Andrew Cuomo came back to bite her somewhere.

Irony Alert: Handy Andy Cuomo filing professional misconduct complaint against NY AG Letitia James

Former disgraced senior-killer Democratic Governor of New York and older brother of the Andy and Fredo Comedy Team, Andrew Cuomo, plans to file a complaint about, wait for it . . . a professional misconduct complaint against New York Attorney General Letitia James, another likely hopeful for the governorship of the Empire State.

James you may recall, has made it very clear that she wants to find legal dirt on President Trump, which actually lends credence to Cuomo's claim, but it's doubtful that this would come up in court.

The disgraced ex-governor's attorney, Rita Glavin, accused AG James's office of "selectively" redacting information in the bombshell sexual harassment report that led to Cuomo's resignation last year from office. She is also accused of including "materially misleading information" in the report, and "slow rolling" the release of the underlying interview depositions after announcing its findings.

Glavin said James' office has not taken Cuomo's criticisms of the report seriously. At least it seems so on the surface.

"What she [James] has done and all she has done is she has publicly dismissed our complaints," Glavin said.

Maybe Trump needs to also jump on the anti-James bandwagon, but then he would be perceived as uniting with a scumcrumpet Cuomo.

"(Cuomo) feels strongly that there was misconduct here, that the attorney general misused her office," Glavin said Thursday when she announced the complaint. She will be filing the grievance to an Attorney Grievance Committee. Glavin said it's not yet clear if Cuomo will only file the complaint against James, or if he will also name investigators who worked on the report. She did not commit to making the complaint public.

Well, that's politics for you--we have James who may have done a smear job on Cuomo just to gain personal political power for herself. And maybe she went after Trump [thus far unsuccessfully] to earn brownie points with the Democratic Party. In any case, you can clearly see all the agendas at play.

Scotland may pardon women executed as witches 400 years ago: it's too late

Scotland is considering pardoning people who were executed as witches 400 years ago. That's too late--if the Scots had only left them alone, they'd still be alive today.

The Daily Wire reported the story explaining that the witch trials in Scotland was based on a power struggle between the Roman Catholic Church and the aristocracy.

According to The Wall Street Journal:

In all, until the Witchcraft Act was repealed in 1735, some 3,837 people were accused of the crime — the overwhelming majority of them women — with some two-thirds executed, more per head of population than anywhere else in Europe…

In some instances, people accused their neighbors of the crime to settle scores. Much of the Scottish aristocracy threw their weight behind the purges, hoping they would speed the decline of the Catholic Church and allow them to pick from its landholdings, say academics who studied the phenomenon.

Others, including King James, believed in witches and developed what they thought were scientific methods to detect them, such as pricking them with long needles to see how much they bled. If there wasn’t enough blood, it was held as a sure sign that the accused was a witch.

The way accusations were used back in Scotland seems similar to the way that claims of blasphemy is still used today in Islamic countries in order to get rid of people who people want to be rid of.

Cuomosexual aide DeRosa caught playing "tonsil hockey" with Andrew Cuomo

Horrible Democratic ex-governor of New York Andrew Cuomo and his then-top aide, Melissa DeRosa, a 39-year-old married woman, was allegedly seen by a state police bodyguard of Andy's  “making out on the sidewalk like high schoolers.”

The alleged swapping of spit occurring between May and December was revealed in sworn testimony of a state trooper who has accused Cuomo of sexually harassing her and whose interview transcript was released by Attorney General Letitia James earlier this week in the hopes of eventually stealing the governor's seat in Albany.

Although Mrs. DeRosa isn’t identified as Cuomo’s tonsil hockey teammate in the 143-page document, three sources with knowledge of the proceedings said her name is among several that were blacked out and replaced with job titles, which in her case is “Senior Staffer #1” — the person with whom the then-governor was allegedly seen glued together like kids at the hop. [If you know what a "hop" is, you're old.]
