Rubio and Vance Offer Competing Visions While White House Insists Everyone Is Singing From the Same Hymnal

For an administration that likes to remind everyone it's playing four-dimensional chess on the world stage, the Trump White House has found itself looking like a family trying to assemble IKEA furniture after losing the instructions. Everyone insists they're building the same bookshelf, but one guy is holding a hammer while another is convinced the leftover screws are decorative.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has spent the past week doing something that used to be considered a basic qualification for running American foreign policy: acknowledging that the Iranian regime is exactly what decades of history say it is. Vice President JD Vance, on the other hand, has been floating a more optimistic theory that suggests the mullahs are just one reconstruction package and a few friendly conversations away from becoming respectable neighbors. What has he been smoking?

The White House would like everyone to stop noticing.

Rubio has consistently defended Israel's campaign against Hezbollah for what any honest observer can see it is: a response to years of rocket attacks, terrorism, and the bizarre international expectation that Israelis should quietly absorb missiles because it makes European diplomats feel more comfortable and besides, Jews need to be annihilated because, you know, the Qur'an and stuff.

While visiting the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain, Rubio worked to reassure nervous allies following the preliminary U.S.-Iran agreement signed on June 17. Critics have questioned whether the deal hands Tehran far too much for far too little. Rubio answered those concerns with a sentence so grounded in reality that it almost sounded old fashioned.

"While we want a deal, we don't want a deal at any price," Rubio said.

Imagine that. A Secretary of State who remembers that negotiations are supposed to benefit America instead of serving as therapy sessions for hostile dictators.

That practical approach stands in pretty stark contrast to the messaging coming from the vice president.

Vance, on the other hand, has defended the agreement against Israeli criticism while arguing that Israeli strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut could complicate American diplomacy. That assumes Hezbollah is simply misunderstood and that their biggest obstacle to peace is poor calendar coordination with U.S. negotiators rather than an obsessive commitment to wiping Israel off the map.

Does he know nothing about Islamic anti-Semitism?

The vice president has also spoken favorably about Gulf nations helping finance Iran's reconstruction and has entertained the possibility of a more cooperative relationship with the Islamic Republic. Apparently decades of hostage taking, proxy wars, terrorism, and "Death to America" chants are now considered minor misunderstandings that can be smoothed over with enough infrastructure spending. He needs to forget about running for POTUS in '28.

Then came Thursday's interview.

Vance revealed that Washington had invited an Iranian intelligence official to serve as a deconfliction liaison with the Pentagon in Qatar. That's one of those ideas that sounds like it came out of a brainstorming session where someone asked, "What's the foreign policy equivalent of letting the bank robber install the security cameras?"

Naturally, everyone in the administration insists there isn't even the slightest disagreement.

"There is one camp, President Trump's camp, and the entire administration is fully behind the president's efforts to ensure Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon," spokeswoman Anna Kelly said.

State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott dismissed reports of friction as a "tired and fake" narrative before adding, "The entire administration is 100% in lockstep behind President Trump."

Rubio offered the same assurance Thursday.

"Everyone here is aligned behind the president."

Maybe they are.

But from where everyone else is sitting, this doesn't look like perfect harmony. It looks like one side is reading Ronald Reagan while the other is speed-running Barack Obama's Middle East playbook. Both keep insisting they're singing the same song, but one sounds like "God Bless America" while the other is humming "Kumbaya" with the ayatollah.

If this really is one unified strategy, somebody might want to hand out the same script before the next press conference.

Mamdani is to Reagan as AOC is to Einstein

Leave it to the New York comrade mayor Zohran Mamdani to lecture Americans on hardship while taking aim at one of the most popular and economically successful presidents in history.

During a Monday press conference, Mamdani mockingly referenced former President Ronald Reagan’s iconic 1986 quip: “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”

Mamdani, who never ran a real business and is a failed rapper, thought of himself as a master of rhetoric. The dolt replied: “I think nine more terrifying words are actually ‘I worked all day and can’t feed my family.’”

It is a fantasy line, but is completely a figment of his tiny imagination. 

Mamdani is attacking Ronald Reagan, a man whose conservative policies actually rescued the American worker, all while Mamdani practices a brand of fiscal theft today that guarantees future generations will pay the price tomorrow. If you don't believe that, ask the Teachers Union and the veterans from whom he stole money from their retirement funds and military parade funds, respectively.

Let us look at the facts. 

When Reagan took office in 1981, the American economy was being suffocated by Carter-era stagflation, a toxic mix of double-digit inflation and high unemployment. Reagan did not use big-government handouts; he crushed inflation from 13.5 percent down to 4.1 percent. He slashed the astronomical 21.5 percent prime interest rate in half, sparked a 92-month peacetime economic expansion, and oversaw the creation of over 16 million new jobs.

Reagan’s supply-side miracle did not simply help the wealthy; it lifted everyone. Real median family income rose by 12.6 percent, and poverty rates plummeted. Minority communities thrived, with black unemployment at a near all-time low and black-owned businesses expanding by nearly 38 percent.

Aside from bashing Israel, what has Mamdani actually done?

Reagan knew that the American taxpayer did not exist to fund bureaucratic overreach. As he noted in his 1980 GOP acceptance speech, any program representing a theft from their pocketbooks had to go.

Contrast that economic boom with Mamdani’s current high-wire balancing act in New York City. He recently took a rooftop victory lap, boasting that he magically closed a 12 billion dollar budget deficit without resorting to austerity. But take a look under the hood and see that Mamdani’s solution is just a massive shell game of short-term gimmicks and fiscal procrastination.

To patch the hole for fiscal year 2027, the socialist mayor relies on roughly 2.8 billion dollars in one-time measures. He is implementing a punitive pied-a-terre tax and clawing back unincorporated business tax credits that hit self-employed New Yorkers making as little as 142,000 dollars, giving productive citizens an explicit incentive to flee the city. Worse yet, he is extending the amortization period for unfunded pension liabilities, pushing hundreds of millions in city obligations well into the 2030s.

By kicking the pension can down the road and relying on temporary state aid infusions from Albany, Mamdani is not saving New York; he is merely loading up a fiscal time bomb. Fiscal experts note that these gimmicks leave the city dangerously exposed to massive multi-billion-dollar deficits in the years ahead, topping out at an estimated 9.8 billion dollars by 2030. 

Mamdani wants to pretend that he's the champion of the working class. In reality, Reagan’s free-market policies allowed families to feed themselves through dignity and work. Mamdani’s progressive playbook simply steals financial stability from the future to fund big-government hubris today.

Activist lefty judge blocks Trump's defunding of Planned Parenthood

"I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born." -- Ronald Reagan

 
Well look who’s at it again. A federal judge in Massachusetts, an Obama appointee, naturally, decided to play superhero for Planned Parenthood, slapping a restraining order on a key provision in what Trump called his “big, beautiful bill.” This provision would’ve yanked Medicaid funding from the abortion factory for a year, but U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani said, “Not so fast.” She likes dead babies.

In her ruling, the far leftist didn’t mince words: “Defendants shall take all steps necessary to ensure that Medicaid funding continues to be disbursed in the customary manner.” 

Translation: keep the cash flowing to Planned Parenthood like it’s just another Tuesday. Her order, which lasts two weeks, also bans the Trump administration, their agents, employees, or anyone else in cahoots with them from “enforcing, retroactively enforcing, or otherwise applying” the funding cut. 

Judicial overreach, at its worst, of course.

The Hill points out, “Talwani’s ruling still allows the administration to enforce the provision against other providers, but Planned Parenthood says it comprises almost the entirety of the impacted entities.” 

So, basically, this is a tailor-made carveout for the baby terrorist giant. 

Let’s talk numbers. Planned Parenthood’s 2024 annual report bragged about performing 392,715 abortions from October 2021 to September 2022, a 5% jump from the 374,155 the year prior. This, despite Roe v. Wade getting the boot from the Supreme Court in June 2022. The Catholic News Agency noted, “[T]he document says that locations in states ‘where abortion is protected’ saw a 700% increase in demand.” Oh, and they helped coordinate travel for over 33,000 abortions. Because nothing says “healthcare” like a cross-state abortion road trip.

Just last month, the Supreme Court reminded everyone that lower courts don’t get to play emperor over the Executive Branch. Justice Amy Coney Barrett put it bluntly: “federal courts do not exercise general oversight of the Executive Branch; they resolve cases and controversies consistent with the authority Congress has given them.” 

Apparently, Judge Talwani didn’t get the memo, but more likely disregarded the ruling.

So, for now, Planned Parenthood keeps its taxpayer-funded gravy train, courtesy of a leftist judge with a pen, a vendetta, and no love for the unborn. 

This is just the beginning and we need to wait and see how it pans out for our future children.

Van Hollen's trip to El Salvador might be illegal: libs used it as pretext for Michael Flynn probe

Van Hollen schmoozes with MS-13 wife-beating gang mamber: allegedly

Senator Chris Van Hollen, (D-MD), decided to play cowboy diplomat, jetting off to El Salvador to spring a deportee named Kilmar Abrego Garcia. 

This isn’t just a bad look—it’s potentially illegal. 

Enter the Logan Act of 1799, a law that says, in no uncertain terms, you don’t get to freelance America’s foreign policy. The statute? Clear as day: any American who corresponds with foreign officials “with intent to influence the[ir] measures … in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States” faces fines or jail time.

Now, let’s rewind to the namesake of this act, George Logan, a Pennsylvania senator who thought he could charm French diplomat Charles de Talleyrand into ending the Quasi War after Paris gave President John Adams the cold shoulder. Logan even had a letter from Vice President Thomas Jefferson in his pocket, trying to sweet-talk the French. Sound familiar? It should, because conservatives are now asking if Van Hollen’s little Salvadoran adventure crosses the same line.

Roger Stone, never one to mince words, took to X and dropped a bombshell: “Why hasn’t this U.S. senator been arrested for violation of the Logan Act? It’s illegal to conduct your own foreign policy.” 

Boom. 

WMAL’s Vince Coglianese went further, reading the Logan Act on air and posing the million-dollar question to his listeners: “Is Chris Van Hollen violating the Logan Act?” He pointed out the hypocrisy, noting, “Because this is what they accused General [Michael] Flynn of doing … the incoming national security advisor … who was merely having conversations with foreign diplomats [after] people had chosen President Donald Trump.” 

The left clutched their pearls when Flynn chatted with Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak before Trump’s first inauguration, screaming “Logan Act!” until it sparked an FBI probe that torpedoed Flynn’s career. Notes from FBI agent Peter Strzok literally read, “VP: Logan Act,” hinting Joe Biden himself pushed the idea, while Jim Comey shrugged that Flynn’s talks seemed “legit.” Double standards, anyone?

Fox News contributor Byron York, always a voice of reason, chimed in on X, admitting he’s long called the Logan Act a “dead letter.” But here’s the kicker: “But politically, it’s useful to know that Sen. Van Hollen traveled to a foreign country to bash the President of the United States.” Ouch. The American Accountability Foundation isn’t letting this slide either. They fired off a letter to Senate Ethics Committee Chairman James Lankford, (R-OK), demanding a probe. AAF’s Thomas Jones didn’t hold back, calling Garcia “essentially an enemy combatant in the ongoing invasion … by transnational gangs.” That’s not hyperbole; that’s the border crisis the left pretends doesn’t exist.

The Logan Act’s been weaponized before. Trump’s critics screeched about it when Bob Woodward’s book claimed the former president had calls with Vladimir Putin between White House stints. The Lincoln Project and Kamala Harris piled on, naturally. FBI notes from the Flynn saga even show agents debating whether to trick him into admitting a Logan Act violation: “What is our goal?” ex-FBI counterintelligence chief Bill Priestap wrote. “Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?” Charming.

This isn’t new. Ronald Reagan floated using the Logan Act against Jesse Jackson for his Cuba and Nicaragua jaunts in the ‘80s. Trump called out John Kerry and Christopher Murphy for their Iran contacts in 2019 and 2020. Murphy’s response? “It’s literally my job to meet with foreign leaders,” he said, hiding behind his Senate subcommittee role. 

Cute. Yet, here’s the rub: no one’s ever been convicted under the Logan Act. George Logan himself got a pass, grandfathered out. Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, (R-PA), tried to repeal this relic, but no dice.

So, what’s the deal? Van Hollen’s stunt reeks of hypocrisy, undermining U.S. policy while the left stays silent. The Logan Act may be a dusty law, but it exposes the left’s selective outrage. If Flynn was fair game, why not Van Hollen? The answer, folks, is politics. Pure, unadulterated politics.

Trump calls for immediate Iron Dome construction for US

President Donald Trump said that building an Iron Dome-like defense shield for the U.S. is a top priority for him. On Monday, he called for "immediate" action on the project before he signed an executive order.

Trump made these comments at a Republican dinner in Florida. He also praised his newly-confirmed Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. After arriving at Joint Base Andrews that night, Trump confirmed he had signed the executive order on the plane.

"Pete Hegseth, who's going to be great, by the way… I think he's going to be fantastic," Trump said at the event. "I know him very well. I think he's going to be fantastic."

"He's what we need, to immediately begin the construction of a state-of-the-art Iron Dome missile defense shield, which will be able to protect Americans."

Trump pointed out that the U.S. protects other countries but not itself. He also noted that President Ronald Reagan was interested in such a system during the Cold War, but "we didn't have the technology."

"And now we have phenomenal technology. You see that with Israel," Trump continued. "So I think the United States is entitled to that. And everything will be made right here in the USA 100%."

"We're going next to ensure that we have the most lethal fighting force in the world."

On Monday, the State Department indicated that developing an Iron Dome for the U.S. is one of Hegseth's priorities.

"Other areas the secretary will study include reinstating troops that were pushed out because of COVID-19 vaccination mandates and developing an Iron Dome anti-missile system for the United States," the statement read.

This isn't the first time Trump has talked about an Iron Dome for America. At the Commander-In-Chief inaugural ball on Jan. 20, Trump mentioned that the project was on his agenda.

"We're also doing the Iron Dome all made in America," Trump said. "We're going to have a nice Iron Dome."

He also brought up the idea during his 2024 campaign.

"By next term we will build a great Iron Dome over our country," Trump said at a West Palm Beach event on June 14. "We deserve a dome…it's a missile defense shield, and it'll all be made in America."

President Trump defunds Planned Parenthood ending tax-funded abortions

President Donald Trump is receiving praise from pro-life groups for two significant actions he took in his first week back in office. These actions include signing executive orders to defund International Planned Parenthood and to enforce the Hyde Amendment.

As LifeNews reported, Trump signed an executive order to enforce the Hyde Amendment, which reinforces the ban on using federal funds for elective abortions.

"This action underscores the administration’s commitment to preventing taxpayer dollars from being used to fund killing babies in abortions."

The Hyde Amendment, enacted in 1976, has long prohibited federal funding for abortions, with exceptions only in very rare emergency cases. Trump's order not only reaffirms this policy but also reverses previous executive orders by Joe Biden that expanded abortion access.

Trump also revoked Biden's executive order that had canceled the Mexico City Policy which provides U.S. taxpayer funding for abortions outside the U.S.

"During his first week in office last term, Trump signed the Mexico City policy in one of his first acts as president. The pro-life policy prohibits American tax dollars to groups that promote or provide abortions overseas. The move defunded two major abortion chains of hundreds of millions of American tax dollars. The International Planned Parenthood Federation alone estimated a $100 million loss from its budget."
The Mexico City policy, originally introduced by President Ronald Reagan, has typically been supported by pro-life presidents and rescinded by those favoring abortion rights. Trump not only reinstated this policy but also expanded its scope to include more global health assistance funds and programs.

"Every innocent life deserves to be protected. Ensuring that taxpayer dollars don’t pay for abortions has saved lives, and it’s a policy that continues to receive bipartisan support from a majority of Americans. Government-compelled participation in abortion has no place in our country. American taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to fund abortions or to export and promote them abroad. We’re pleased to see the Trump administration take these crucial steps to redirect American taxpayer dollars to programs that offer real health care for women and children instead of the scandal-ridden abortion industry."
The California Pro-Life Council also praised Trump for these decisions:

"President Donald Trump has taken decisive action by revoking former President Joe Biden’s orders that expanded access to abortion."
Trump's executive order on Friday aimed to enforce the Hyde Amendment, preventing federal funding for elective abortions, emphasizing that American taxpayers should not be forced to pay for abortions at home or abroad.

By revoking these Biden-era orders, Trump reasserts a policy to stop the use of federal taxpayer dollars for elective abortions, returning to a more traditional stance.

Trump also reinstated the Mexico City Policy, ensuring that foreign NGOs cannot fund or promote abortions if they want to receive U.S. global health aid, a policy from the Reagan era which had been rescinded by Biden.

Marjorie Dannenfelser of SBA Pro-Life America also expressed gratitude for these actions:

"Trump signed crucial pro-life executive orders which SBA has strongly prioritized and advocated for: Restoring Hyde Amendment protections at the Department of Defense and at Veterans Affairs. The Hyde Amendment is the long-standing bi-partisan rule that prevents most federal funding of abortion, but which was flagrantly violated by the previous administration. Stopping the use of U.S. taxpayer dollars going to international Planned Parenthood efforts, restoring what is commonly called the Mexico City Policy."

Oh the horror! Leftist panic grows as conservatism grows in U.S.

It looks like America has had enough with left-wing fiddle-farting with our lives and the leftist media is doing a "Biden with Pope" move regarding the fear that Trump may win a second presidential term.

According to the left-wing outlet The Economist, a "growing peril" of a national conservative movement is spreading faster throughout the U.S. than crotch crabs on a president's son.

The outlet called on liberals to stop the MAGA movement that they claim is "dangerous." Which translates to 'stop the MAGA movement by any means necessary.' See, it's actually the leftist lunatics who are the real danger to democracy. [See Trump trials for further references.]

The authors compared conservatism in the 1980s during the Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher era to former President Trump's presidency.

The article warns that conservatives will reign power by capturing "state institutions, including courts, universities, and the independent press." As it stands now, the left wants to keep those institutions for themselves because they aren't good at sharing.

The Economist did not mention the real problems the U.S. and the rest of the Western world faces, thus avoiding focusing on the economy, law enforcement, the weaponization of the judicial system, the slow Islamization of the West, and the obvious threats by Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, and even North Korea. 

Better not to look--it's pretty scary.

Instead, the outlet calls to arm against the growing conservative movement, as if we are the enemy. The reason that we're growing is because their policies aren't working and are even making things worse. Meanwhile, Biden and his party whistle past the grave, pretending that there's nothing to see other than a strong economy and the blossoms of democracy.

If you believe that tripe, you might believe that Joe Biden is the smartest president ever.

Trump says DeSantis' 6-week heartbeat bill 'too harsh'

"I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born" --Ronald Reagan

Former President Trump went after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over the latter's abortion stance on Monday. While all abortions are harsh on the baby, because murder is harsh in any timeframe, Trump said that Florida's so called heartbeat bill, or six-week ban, was "too harsh."

Gov. DeSantis has not yet announced his bid for the White House, but most people believe he's going to do that very soon. Trump has anticipated that likelihood and has been going after him more aggressively now and the abortion issue might be the thing that voters will use to decide on which candidate best represents their values.

Trump made the abortion-related statement in an interview with The Messenger, which was published on Monday. However, even though the interview covered a lot of ground, he didn't elaborate on his personal stance regarding abortion, but claimed he "heard" that pro-life advocates oppose the DeSantis bill.

If anything, pro-lifers would prefer that abortions performed during any period in a pregnancy would be banned, but at least the six-week ban is the best we can hope for at this time. Trump, on the other hand, in many ways is further to the left than DeSantis and seems willing to compromise values for votes.

"He has to do what he has to do," Trump said when asked about Florida's six-week ban. "If you look at what DeSantis did, a lot of people don't even know if he knew what he was doing. But he signed six weeks, and many people within the pro-life movement feel that that was too harsh."

If someone said that they didn't know if Biden knew what he was doing, that would be fair to say, but DeSantis knows what he's doing and is governing Florida like a true conservative.

When asked about whether he would support a six-week ban, Trump didn't want to commit and replied, "I'm looking at all options."

In other words, it appears that Trump is looking at the best political outcome for his opinion, rather than having values congruent with conservatives.

Trump also confirmed in the interview that he supported the same exceptions in abortion legislation that conservatives agree with, "the life of the mother, raping and incest." No conservatives oppose this so Trump knows he's on safe ground.

"Just as Ronald Reagan was a believer in the exceptions, but I'm a believer in the exceptions," he added. However let's be honest, Ron DeSantis is more like Reagan than Trump is. Even DeSantis' six-week abortion bill includes the same exceptions.

Trump went on to take credit for the three Supreme Court justices he got appointed who were essential in overturning Roe v. Wade, claiming that he was the only president who could have accomplished that feat. And he's 

"For 50 years, they've been trying to get rid of Roe v Wade. I was able to do it. Nobody else could have done that but me. And I was able to do it [by nominating] three excellent judges on the Justices of the Supreme Court. And I was able to do that," he said hyperbolically. 

"I'm looking at all alternatives. I'm looking at many alternatives," Trump replied when asked if six weeks was too harsh. "But I was able to get us to the table by terminating Roe v. Wade. That's the most important thing that's ever happened for the pro-life movement."

And yes, you have to give Trump the credit he's due with Roe v. Wade but you also have to understand that he isn't opposed to abortion the way Ron DeSantis is. 

The tough question is, who is best equipped to beat Joe Biden in 2024, if he's still running? It may very well be Trump because people want entertainment over substance. 

In either case, the Republican candidate must get our votes. We cannot allow the left to destroy the country as we have known it, and we must rebuild what we had if we get the nod from the people.

Another Colin K. makes the news: lied to press about Trump-era spy balloons

Do not trust the news media because they trust what's fed to them by government liars and propagandists. 

Alleged President Joe Biden did nothing until after a Chinese spy balloon finished collecting and transmitting its data as it flew over the United States. Days went by while Biden and whoever controls his strings knew about it after a civilian discovered it flying above his home. Finally, the military shot it down.

Now came cleanup in aisle nine.

Something had to be done to cover up Biden's indecisiveness, confusion and incontinence. The idea was to holler "squirrel!" and hope the nation will look away from Biden's latest clusterfrack, as I like to call it, and blame the Democrat's favorite fall guy, former President Donald Trump.

So a Pentagon official spoke to a gaggle of stenographers working for various news outlets and claimed that Chinese spy balloons wasn't unusual at all. In fact, three Chinese spy balloons traveled hither and thither and yon all over the place during the Trump administration, but suggested that he was too cowardly to have them shot down.

It was later revealed that the balloons in question were only over US territory for just a few minutes--one was off the coast of Hawaii--and it wasn't known at the time. They were discovered years after Trump left office so the claim of Trump's cowardice was as real as the invisible person Biden shakes hands with on occasion. 

The Pentagon refused to identify the official who gave the misleading commentary to the press, but two Republican senators have discovered who he is, as reported by The Washington Free Beacon.

Pentagon official Colin Kahl illegally leaked classified information about the Chinese spy balloon to deflect blame about the Biden administration’s mishandling of the situation, according to two Republican senators.

Biden was told to appoint Kahl for under secretary of defense for policy. He was the guy who provided "reporters" with classified information stating that the CCP spy balloons may have infiltrated the US during the Trump administration, as Senators Roger Wicker (R-MS) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) alleged.

Rather than checking the story, these so called reporters just reported what they were told, no questions asked. 

The Kahl propaganda appeared in stories at CNN, Bloomberg, and the Washington Post, as a way to shift blame from Biden and his handlers to Trump, while leaving out the critical point that it was much later after Trump left office that the prior balloons were discovered.

This was the first time that Kahl was named as the leaker of confidential information. He purposely misled naive reporters, including Jennifer Griffin of Fox News. Even she failed to check out the details. Not one reporter checked out the details and were easily lied to.

As Ronald Reagan is famous for saying: "trust, but verify."

I would just verify--they don't deserve our trust.

Non aborted Kagan says killing pre-born babies "part of the fabric of women's existence in this country"

“I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.”  Ronald Reagan

Supreme Court Justice and far-Left viable Elena Kagan said on Wednesday that abortion is  “part of the fabric of women’s existence in this country.” She was not referring to the existence of women who, as pre-born babies, are killed every year, but to women like herself who have already been born. 

Kagan was attempting to defend the 1973 Roe v. Wade precedent in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case.

She butted heads with Mississippi Solicitor General Scott G. Steward during oral arguments at SCOTUS who was attempting to defend Mississippi's 2018 law banning abortion, including in cases of rape and incest, before 15 weeks of pregnancy. 

After all, it isn't the fault of the fetus that his or her mother was raped, and should not have to be killed on that basis.

Kagan said that the Court must avoid the perception that it was merely a political body--in spite of the fact that Roe itself had created that notion and she failed to acknowledge that--and she argued that nothing much had changed since Roe and Planned Parenthood of Southeaster Pennsylvania v. Case (1992) to change the principles at stake.

Which is precisely the point, Stewart argued, because they "have no basis in the Constitution."

The battle continues between those who would kill unwanted babies against those who deem life precious. The Court's decision may be reached Friday, but Monday may be more likely. Whatever decision is reached, there will be fury and the gnashing of teeth.

Rev. Al may throw his misshapen hat into the ring for 2020: Ted Cruz responds

The very right and race baiting "Reverend" Alfred Charles Sharpton [aka Al Sharptongue] reportedly had a thought. He is considering running for President of the United States of America!

Hopefully Sharptongue will bring the country together but the chances of that happening is about the same as getting struck by lightning on a clear day at noon while taking the Trump Tower escalator down to the main floor while being recorded by Fox News with Rev Al holding the camera. It's also about the same as the chances of him being elected in the first place.

On Wednesday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), noted a report that Sharptongue is considering throwing his porkpie hat in the ring as one more name to add to the list of candidates running for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. Cruz offered a hilarious idea for one more candidate who could fill out the Democratic field. He tweeted:

“What America needs: more Dem presidential candidates! Just a reminder, under the 22nd Amendment, Jimmy Carter’s still eligible for another term.”

Carter, who will turn 95 on October 1, served as president of the United States from 1977 to 1981. He is often seen as one of the worst presidents ever. He signed the Panama Canal Treaty and gave up control by the year 2000; he implemented price controls and had an economy by 1980 whose interest rate was an enormous 21%, inflation at 13.5%, and unemployment at a deplorable 7%. He also pulled out our missiles from South Korea without consulting his military advisors and he is a known anti-Zionist and full-blown GOP hater, particularly President Ronald Reagan.

Last June and before, he said at the Carter Center's retreat of President Trump that a deeper investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election would prove Trump really lost the election to Hillary Clinton. "There's no doubt that the Russians did interfere in the election. And I think the interference, although not yet quantified, if fully investigated would show that Trump didn't actually win the election in 2016. He lost the election and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.”

Hey Honey, that isn't by any chance a Jew yonder?

Does Carter have inside information he's not revealing? Does he now believe that Mueller is incompetent and should have found Trump complicit with Putin? Does he have a shred of evidence to back up his bold claim?

When asked if Trump was an illegitimate president, Carter answered, "Based on what I just said, which I can't retract," as the clueless audience laughed at the hysterical joke.

Now you see just how anti-Zionist = anti-Semitic the Carters are and how much they disliked Reagan.

Nordlinger continued that Carter also attempted to undermine former president George H. W. Bush, that prior to the Gulf War, Carter “wrote members of the U.N. Security Council — including Mitterrand’s France and Communist China — urging them to thwart the Bush administration’s effort. Our government found out about it when the Canadian prime minister, Brian Mulroney, called the defense secretary, Dick Cheney, and said, ‘What the . . .?’” [the three dots begin with the letter 'f'].

Seriously, can you imagine Al Sharpton as POTUS? It would be hilarious but only for the first hour or so.

Calif. restaurant food requirements

California is without a doubt the most progressive woke state in the union and they prove it once again. Los Angeles is proposing a city law that would demand that movie theaters, the Los Angeles Zoo, Los Angeles International Airport restaurants and other large-scale entertainment venues sell at least one vegan protein option such as tofu or sprouts or some other thing that isn't bacon.

I'm not a lawyer but this seems unconstitutional. But what do I know?

Paul "I'm More Virtuous Than You" Koretz [his last name is pronounced 'Putz'] was inspired by a burning desire to fight global warming, which has changed its name to climate change because the first name wasn't working out.
Koretz wanted to make it easier for non-meat eaters to be fed properly. He proposed a law that would need approval by the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office before becoming mandatory.

"There's really no downside to it," Koretz told Variety.  “The change could easily be made in any venue. A movie theater serves hot dogs. They can serve vegan dogs. It’s easy.”

And if the vegan stuff doesn't sell, it's no skin off of Koretz's back.

The thing is, government should keep out of private businesses. If there was a call for vegan burgers, vegan hot dogs, or other vegan dishes that try to taste like meat, food establishments would be serving it. That's what the free market is all about.

But forcing private companies to sell something they did not plan on selling, seems a bit tyrannical to me.

It isn't that I don't like my veggies, but don't force a company to sell them.

Ronald Reagan was right when he said that the scariest nine words you'll ever hear are: "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."

Judge rules Seattle's tax on the wealthy is illegal

"How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin." -- Ronald Reagan

Seattle is one of the most liberal (read 'socialist') cities in America. Their controversial tax on the wealthy (akin to "You make too much money--I want some of it") failed its first legal test after a judge ruled the new ordinance violates state law. But the progressives (read 'socialists') aren't backing down and pledge to appeal the decision. This sets up a Washington State Supreme Court case.

Judge John Ruhl of King County Superior Court ruled Wednesday that the city did not have the authority (including moral authority, but that's a different story) to impose the tax because state law prohibits tax on net income.

City Attorney Pete Holmes (no known relation to porn star John Holmes, but what John did with women, Pete is trying to do to the wealthy in Seattle) said the decision was "disappointing" but, in a joint statement with Seattle Mayor Tim Burgess (which, coincidentally came while both men were smoking 'joints') said their goal to eliminate the state's "over-reliance on regressive sales taxes" would continue [and so would their immoral attempt to bleed successful people for more of their money].

"We are also living in a time of extreme income inequality that corrodes our social compact and causes many to wonder whether wealthy individuals are paying their fair share," the socialists said.

You want fair share? The fairest of fair shares would be for every single taxpayer to pay the same percentage of their income in taxes, like a church tithe--that's a fair share. Everyone has skin in the game and everyone pays the same percentage.

The whole idea of the progressive's concept of fair share is not fair at all. In fact, as I said, it's immoral.

Opponents of the tax said the ruling is proof that Seattle officials knew the tax was legally flawed by still tried to push it through.

"In our system of government, the Legislature makes laws and the courts interpret them," Freedom Foundation Chief Litigation Counsel David Dewhirst told Fox News in a written statement. "If you want to change the existing tax laws, you can ask your legislator to introduce a bill, or you can sponsor a ballot initiative. And if you want to amend the Constitution, there's a process for that too."

The tax was passed by the Seattle City Council in July. It targets successful people who've worked hard to get to the income level they're at. Local lawmakers say the tax is "a new formula for fairness."

Of course, the opposite is true when you break it down in simple terms: you want to take more from me and redistribute it to people who haven't worked for it. 

I'll say it again: that's immoral.

We're going to go nuclear this week: thanks Harry

President Trump will be making the announcement Tuesday as to who he will nominate for the vacant seat on the US Supreme Court. 

There will be a battle and Chuck Schumer's nostrils will flare, pulling out all of the oxygen in the room, even though the Senate Minority Leader from New York  says it's just business, nothing personal, and certainly not revenge. But you know he will be fighting the appointment every step of the way as Republicans move to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia.

But thanks to Hairy Weed Harry Reid, there is the nuclear option whereby the nuclear option is now available to the Republicans as it was to the Democrats.

The nuclear option will happen if the GOP quashes the filibuster, a process the Democrats kept scratching at in 2013 when they nuked the filibuster for most judicial and executive-branch nominees.

The party of the KKK had the majority back then and never thought they would lose it, as former Senate leader Reid decided to keep the minority Republicans from keeping the country from bowing to the will of Obama. Instead of the 60 votes normally needed to nominate appointees, all the Democrats needed was 51 votes. 

This is how the party of Bull Connor and Robert Byrd was able to pack the lower courts with Obama liberals.

Even Schumer admits that Republicans have an edge since they control the Congress and the White House. He knows that no matter how many tears he sheds, all of Trump's cabinet choices are likely to be confirmed--and his choices appear to be even more conservative than were Ronald Reagan's.

The only exception Reid left when he changed the rules, was with the Supreme Court. So to get things done, Mitch McConnell might have no alternative but to use his power as House Majority Leader, to squash the filibuster altogether.

If McConnell cannot persuade eight Democrats to go along with Trump's SCOTUS nominee while ensuring all 52 Republicans vote for Trump's pick, then he will have to go nuclear.

McConnell's decision to hold off Obama's choice of Judge Merrick Garland after Justice Scalia died last February was a gamble that paid off, big league.

POTUS' choice for SCOTUS short list ready

President Trump is ready to make his Supreme Court justice choice this week after the country has gone 11 months with an empty seat after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. The Democrats weren't happy with the wait, but since it was nearing the end of a socialist president's term, the GOP, under Mitch McConnell, thought it best to take the gamble and wait until after the election.

A brilliant move.

It was worth the wait as it is likely Trump will pick a conservative Constitutional originalist as Justice Scalia was, to fill the seat.

President Trump has assured us the decision is coming soon. "I'll be making my decision this week, we'll be announcing next week," he said after meeting with bipartisan Senate leaders Tuesday. "We'll pick a truly great Supreme Court justice."

It will be very, very great. So great we're going to say 'Hey Donald, your pick was too great. We're getting tired of all this greatness.'

According to sources who ask to remain anonymous in order to find out more secret stuff, the list is down to  three or four names, all of whom are federal appeals court judges.

You may recall that President Trump said at a presser last week before taking the oath of office that a decision on the pick for Supreme Court would come within two weeks after taking office.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer backed up that timeline on Monday, and said the nomination remains a "priority."

Trump already met with Judge William Pryor from the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, in Birmingham, Ala. He is a close friend of the Attorney General nominee Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.).

Pryor was initially given a recess appointment to the appeals court but Senate Democrats tried to block his subsequent nominations, citing his strong criticism of the Roe v. Wade decision establishing a woman's right to kill her unborn baby. He called it the "worst abomination in the history of constitutional law."

As Ronald Reagan pointed out: "I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born."

Other possible judges on Trump's short list may be Judge Neil Gorsuch, on the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, with chambers in Denver. 

He was born in 1967 and went to Harvard Law School, clerked for Justices Byron White and Anthony Kennedy. He then went into private practice before joining the Bush Justice Department. His mother is Anne Burford, the first female EPA administrator. He also wrote: "The Future of Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia."

Judge Thomas Hardiman, 3rd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, with chamber in Pittsburgh.

He was born in 1965 and his 2010 ruling that a jail policy of strip-searching all those arrested does not violate the Fourth Amendment was affirmed by the Supreme Court. He also sits on the same court as President Trump's sister, Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, but she is not being considered for any high court vacancy.

There are more possible considerations but we shall see what he does in the days to come.

So far, Trump has met with auto industry leaders and others, and will be meeting with the British and Canadian Prime Ministers, Theresa May and Justin Trudeau, respectively.

Why Lena Dunham sucks socks that smell

Lena Dunham said that she wishes she'd had an abortion to fight the "stigma around this issue." Many people wish her Dunham's mother felt the same way.

"Something I've thought about  a lot is the fact that there is stigma around abortion," she said on her podcast.

Dunham had visited the abortion factory known as Planned Parenthood, where their only plan is how to avoid being a parent. She was asked there by a young girl who told her to join in a project where women share stories of abortion.

"I sort of jumped," Dunham giggled. "'I haven't had an abortion,' I told her. I wanted to make it really clear to her that as much as I was going out and fighting for other women's options, I myself had never had an abortion."

"Even I, the woman who cares as much as anybody about a woman's right to choose, felt it was important that people know I was unblemished in this department," she said, adding, "Now I can say that I still haven't had an abortion, but I wish I had."

The idea that this idiot would say that she wishes she had the chance to end the life of an infant disgusts me, as it disgusted many on Twitter who saw her statement. 

Ronald Reagan said it best: "I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born."

Ferrell pulls out in time

Funny man Will Ferrell said that he will not star in the comedy that he produced and thought was great liberal cinema before the public went ballistic. The film, Reagan is about the tragedy of Alzheimer's disease and how it robs the individual of memory, physical abilities and creates a sense of chronic anxiety.

The trade press wrote that Ferrell would star and produce the movie, but now he's "doing a Hillary" and claiming that he only just received and reviewed the manuscript, then decided not to do it.

And Bill "never had sex with that woman . . . Monica Lewinsky.

The New York Post reported: 

"The 'Reagan' script is one of a number of scripts that had been submitted to Will Ferrell which he had considered. While it is by no means an 'Alzheimer's comedy' as has been suggested, Mr. Ferrell is not pursuing this project," the rep said.

The rep wouldn't say whether the decision was a direct result of the outcry from Reagan's daughter, Patti Davis, who on Thursday called the movie "cruel" and Farrell "heartless."

The flick offers an "alternate take" on history and is set at the beginning of Reagan's second term--when he's struck by dementia, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which scored a copy of the manuscript.

Comedic bits center on the idea that president had no clue where he was or what he was doing through the term, the showbiz news site reported.

In one scene, a low-level aid is tasked with convincing the commander-in-chief that he is an actor playing the president in a movie.

In another, there's a mix-up over a wardrobe assistant named Libby and the country Libya. "I want Libby gone. No more Libby," Reagan proclaims--leading to the bombing of Libya. 

But the film isn't an 'Alzheimer's comedy' it's merely about making a little fun of a great president with Alzheimer's disease (which happened to be diagnosed several years after he left office). 

What a knee-slapper. 

Ferrell denies ever considering playing the starring role but The Wrap, another trade press journal wrote:

Will Ferrell will play President Ronald Reagan in "Reagan," a political satire written by Mike Rosolio, whose script was voted to the 2015 Black List of Hollywood's best unproduced screenplays.

Ferrell will produce under his Gary Sanchez Productions banner. The funnyman is no stranger to political comedies, have starred in "The Campaign" and "Dick." He also played President George W. Bush on "Saturday Night Live" and the Broadway show "You're Welcome America." 

So it's very clear that Ferrell was all in on this film but backed out when the Reagan kids wrote about his heartlessness and insensitivity about what President Reagan went through with Alzheimer's. 

What is also very clear is the level of scumbaggery Ferrell has crawled down to--a level often seen when liberals attack conservatives. They need to rewrite history in order to make their case, but conservatives merely need to look at history to make their's.

Ronald Reagan was by far, a greater and more honorable president than what the liberals have given us. He put his hand over his heart for the National Anthem. Obama put his hands on his junk.

And Reagan knew America was comprised of 50 states, while Obama thought there was 57.

The liberals own most of the media, but we can vote them out at the box office. They're too stupid to feel humiliated.

Will Ferrell pulled out of the movie for no other reason than to save his career. As for me, I will vote at the box office when his next film comes out.

Hostages win, taxpayers lose again

Why is it not surprising that the U.S. taxpayer will be footing the bill Iran was supposed to pay for the embassy personnel taken hostage in the 1979 Islamic Revolution?

It isn't surprising because this administration would go so far as to kiss the Ayatollah's butt in Macy's window to appease him.

A fund known as the "United States Victims of State Sponsors of Terrorism Fund" (better known as "Americans Will Handle the Heavy Lifting for you, Iran Fund") with over $1 billion of taxpayer money set aside, was an added boner to the omnibus bill penned by Congress and signed into law by so-called President Barack Hussein Obama on December 28th.

What the hell, it isn't their money.

The 52 Americans that were held in captivity by Iran can get up to $4.4 million each, and each spouse and child of the victims get another $600,000 each. It looks like Iran lucked out with the U.S. picking up the tab.

The victims have been seeking numeration for being held but were prevented from suing Iran because the 1981 Algiers Accords, which secured their release. The Algiers Accords had a provision barring litigation by the hostages from suing the Iranian government.

The hostages were taken from the U.S. embassy in Tehran when hundreds of student protesters stormed the complex. A few months later, former failed President Jimmy Carter authorized Operation Eagle Claw, a rescue attempt that failed as miserably as his presidency. Thus, the hostages were held for 444 days and after lengthy negotiations, were released on President Ronald Reagan's inauguration in January 1981.

As usual, Obama lets Iran win while American taxpayers continue to lose.

Kerry Defends the Stupidly Bad Deal

Hairplugs McGoo and his comical sidekick

John Kerry, our so-called Secretary of State, showed just how bright he is: the "anytime--anywhere" inspections were never on the table. Why weren't they on the table? Because the Obama administration is about as professional as a Kindergarten kid.

Kerry is so stupid, he actually believes that snap inspections should not be part of the agreement, and worse, that the United States should be part of the team doing the inspecting. What a bunch of amateurs we have in this clusterfart of an administration. 

Ronald Reagan said, "Trust, but verify." Who is going to verify the absence of Iranian nuclear weapons for us--another Islamic nation? And why are we not allowed to be part of the inspection team?

Kerry told Fox News that "There is no such standard within arms control inspections. We never had a discussion about 'anywhere, anytime' managed access."

Why not, Mr. Hairplugs? 

Plugs McKenzie and Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz claim that International Atomic Energy Agency inspections within 24 days of a request will be sufficient to detect nuclear activity.

Sorry, I don't believe them. In fact, I don't believe Iran will tell the inspectors where all the sites are located and I believe that this administration is the most dangerous bunch of fools this country has ever had the misfortune to have in power.

Iran still chants "Death to America, death to Israel." Does Obama think they're kidding or does he have more covert intentions?

Kerry couldn't negotiate a chocolate bar away from a 5 year old. Our Americans remain in captivity, Iran remains a terrorist state, and Obama cares more about his crappy legacy than the safety of the American people. 

Tehran was granted a last-minute request to lift the arms embargo and we still have four Americans being held by Iran. Kerry's excuse was: "Every single meeting, everywhere in the world that ever took place with the Iranians, we have raised the issue of the American citizens. And we are working on the issue of the American citizens even now."

Raising an issue and raising hell with Iran are two different things. We needed to be tough, unlike Kerry and his sideshow clown. We needed to tell the ayatollah that if they don't release our people, we will make the current sanctions seem like high school detention compared to what we'd do next.

The Iranians are laughing at our Kerry clown and his sidekick. The Iranians got everything they wanted and Obama got to say he has a deal. What a loser we have running the country; it's embarrassing.

My Eyes Nearly Vomited Watching Obama

One thing we must admit: President Obama has lived up to his original campaign promise of bringing the country together. However, in this case, the case of Ferguson, MO,  it was like bringing two boxers together in Las Vegas. Instead of Don King and his schizophrenic hairdo, we have Reverend Al Sharpton and his schizophrenic racism. In fact, if we can honestly say that Al Sharpton is a "reverend," we ought to be able to also say that Abu Bakr al Bagdhadi is a man of good will.

My eyes nearly vomited as I watched Barack speak last night after the grand jury decision was reached not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for shooting the robbery suspect, Michael Brown. 

Barry asked for the police to use restraint and good judgment in the aftermath of the decision, and while he said this, the town was burning and being looted, and rioting took place as we watched on the split screen. 

The police and the anarchists were brought together. The country "came together" and another campaign promise could be chalked up alongside ObamaCare.

But seeing Obama and Ferguson was a dramatic demonstration of the ineptitude of a man who believes his words are magic, like his pen. Back in 2007 he boasted that one of the skills he would bring to the presidency is his incredible ability to "pull together the different strands of American life and focus on what we have in common."

Many of us knew he was lying and now we know that when his lips move, and especially when he punctuates a sentence with the word "period," he is lying through his teeth. 

The so-called president went on to say that we have "made enormous progress in race relations." Well, duh, he got elected to the highest office in the land and he's black. 

It isn't rich, old white men holding black people back--it's their social conditions. Black young men killing other black young men. The "uncool" going to school mentality for many young black kids. The absence of both parents in the home. The list goes on and yes, it pertains to all ethnic groups, but we see a profusion of it in the black community, and pointing that out does not make me a racist anymore than saying Al Sharpton is a race-baiting thug who should be tried for tax evasion.

Facts, as Ronald Reagan said, are stubborn things.

Obama has failed to bring us together like he promised. He has failed to enhance our relationship with the Muslim world, as promised. And I know that if the races in this case were reversed, there would be no Sharpton-Obama outcry. No media hype. No story. 

Obama hasn't even condemned the Ferguson riots. Instead he warns the police, telling them to behave properly.

It was disgusting watching Obama preach to us. My eyes can attest to that.
