BIG NEWS: Elon is "willing" to join Trump's cabinet

Newsmax reports that Tesla CEO Elon Musk is open to joining the President Trump cabinet if the Donald wins the presidential election in November.

In an interview with Reuters on Monday, the former President was asked about whether he would have Musk in his cabinet or as an adviser. 

"I certainly would, if he would do it, I certainly would. He's a brilliant guy," Mr. Trump said.

And before you could say 'Coo Coo Cah Choo Mrs. Robinson', Musk tweeted on X, "I am willing to serve."

Musk included an AI-generated photo of himself at a podium with the name "Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.)," a likely reference to the Dogecoin meme cryptocurrency that Musk has long supported.

He and Trump seem to be getting along splendidly of late:

After the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump, Musk backed him for president, and last week held a live-streamed interview with him on X. During that Aug. 12 livestream, which was viewed over a billion times, Musk proposed the idea of a "government efficiency commission" and said he would be "happy to help out" on it. Trump replied, "I'd love it."

However, Musk denied reports that he pledged $45 million a month to a pro-Trump super PAC.

The relationship between Musk and Trump has finally thawed considerably from just two years ago, when Trump called Musk a "[BS] artist" after Musk said he was considering voting for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

Musk at the time responded on X: "It's time for Trump to hang up his hat and sail into the sunset," adding, "Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America."

During the Reuters interview, Trump also said he would consider ending the $7,500 tax credit for certain new electric vehicles, which presumably would affect Musk's business as CEO of an electric vehicle company, but Trump's plan makes sense and perhaps Musk agrees.

Buttigieg saves world's environment riding 2-wheeler with SUV escorts

He is going to save the world in his own mind. 

Riding his two-wheeler to work instead of a gas-guzzling vehicle is how Transportation Secretary Peter Buttigieg gets to work, at least on video. He is aiming to exemplify "the right thing to do" for all Americans to help fight global climate change. His two-wheeler and all our two-wheelers can save the planet, especially if India, China and Russia all cooperate and ride their two-wheelers too.

Pete was heading to an April Fool's Day Cabinet meeting when he was seen unloading his two-wheeler from the back of an SUV for his exhibition ride to the meeting.

As he rode out in the morning, two SUVs followed "Peddling Pete." The video was posted online by local WFMZ-TV.

“Pete Buttigieg has a history of gimmicky stunts, just for show, like doing a desk job on a military base for a few weeks, then trying to pose as a combat veteran. Now this phony stunt.” radio host Mark Simone observed of Mad Magazine's Alfred E. Neuman look-alike.

“Caught in the act,” said conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza on Twitter.

The former South Bend mayor who couldn't even get the town's potholes repaired, and a losing presidential contender, has tried to show off his green bona fides in his new role. 

Last week he mentioned the possibility of a vehicle mileage tax in Biden’s new infrastructure bill to help cover costs, before later walking it back as it made him look like an out of touch imbecile.

The Department of Transportation tried to cast Buttigieg as some kind of folk hero. “He rode his bike to the White House cabinet meeting and he rode his bike back to DOT after the meeting,” they proudly exclaimed.

What he did was to ride his bike back to the SUV a little bit down the road, load it into the vehicle and drive off in a cloud of dust, a puff of smoke, and a hearty, "What, me worry?"

Former Trump adviser says Cabinet members are plotting to remove POTUS

A report in the Washington Times said that according to former campaign adviser Roger Stone, some members of President Trump's own Cabinet have discussed plans to remove him from the White House by invoking the 25th Amendment.

Stone said during a recent C-SPAN interview that he heard some members of Trump's administration have weighed the possibility of taking him out of office.

"Do you have any evidence that anyone is actively plotting or attempting or laying the groundwork right now inside the Cabinet--inside the administration--to make that removal?" Tom LoBianco of the AP asked.

"I have sources, and I work my sources, and yes, I believe there are some who have had this discussion. This is both outside the Cabinet and in. I think it's the fallback plan for the establishment. That's why I'm trying to sound the clarion call," Mr. Stone said.

True to recent form as seen in the media, Stone declined to disclose names and specifics when pressed, but he insists his claim wasn't baseless.

"Like you, Tom, I cannot reveal those sources, and I'm not prepared to do so, but this is not a conspiracy theory," Stone told LoBianco. "There are members of the Cabinet who have had this discussion; let me just leave it at that."

Stone, 65, currently co-hosts an internet and radio program, "War Room," produced in connection with Alex Jones--a guy who hasn't met a conspiracy he doesn't like you to believe.

The White House did not respond to a media request for comment.

Angry Trump may 'clean house'

Sean Hannity's 'Question of the Day' may soon be: "How many people should Donald Trump fire from his Cabinet and staff?"

Now that former FBI DirectorJames Comey has been shown the proverbial front door, the White House appears to be in chaos. President Trump's friends are telling him that his staff is unsure how to work with him and his approval ratings are in the dumper and there are leaks, which makes for a messy dumper.

One of those friends said, "The advice he's getting is to go big--that he has nothing to lose. The question now is how big and how bold. I'm not sure he knows the answer to that yet."

If Trump goes full Rambo, his White House inner sanctum would shrink like a cashmere sweater in boiling water. He would have his family doing the heavy lifting and they have no government experience. The leaks may stop but the problems won't.

On the brighter side, Trump sometimes has a bark worse than his bite and while saying he's going to fire someone, he may not follow through. Thus, it's possible the talks he's having with his confidants is just talk and a way for him to feel supported.

At the end of this week, the President is heading on his first international trip. He's going to meet with Netanyahu and his Palestinian counterpart, Abbass (the 'Abb' is silent). So the process, if he really will go through with it, may take some time. 

It's also possible he may cut people out of the information flow to cut down on leaks, as opposed to firing them. He may want to keep the drama at a minimum for now. 

The confidential sources say that Trump isn't only unhappy with his staff, but he feels ill-served by his Cabinet officials, saying that they're either tooting their own horns too much, or they're not doing a good enough job kissing up to him with praise over his diplomatic prowess.

The sources say that no Cabinet member is expected to be fired anytime soon, but expect a West Wing shuffle in the future.

One of the few top officials, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has been winning Trump's praise as he has been defending him in public as he did on "Meet the Press."

Pocahontas and Hypocrisy

Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren is the poster girl for dishonesty and is making a strong run to win the slot for hypocrisy as she presses the Trump Cabinet picks to follow [get this] ethics guidelines.

Warren was dubbed Pocahontas after she lied about her native American status to aid her career. She talks about victim-hood as an evil yet victimized an historically victimized group: the Cherokee, by claiming to be a member of the tribe.

Then she refused to acknowledge what she did and never apologized for her lie.

But that's just one facet to her lying past.

Pocahontas fudged descriptions of her corporate legal work and nickel-and-dimed the federal electronic court docket system while having an almost million-dollar-a-year family income. You can learn more about this at: http://elizabethwarrenwiki.org/

Warren even lied about being the first nursing mother to take the New Jersey Bar Exam.

Now she has the audacity to grill Trump's picks over ethics in her self-righteous bid for public face-time.

Warren who took advantage of a loophole in ethics law to avoid disclosing $1.3 million credit line against her home is now warning cabinet picks that incomplete financial disclosures put the nation at risk.

Warren wrote in the Washington Post that "it is critical that each nominee follows basic ethics rules to ensure that they will act for the benefit of all the American people" [and not just the native American people of her tribe]. She argued that financial disclosures are necessary to "reveal potentially damaging information that may undermine fitness to serve" and said nominees with "complex financial histories" [like her $1.3 million credit line] need to be "forthcoming and transparent."

Elizabeth Warren is just one example of the left's unending hypocrisy. And the fact that she can criticize the same thing that she is guilty of doing, shows us how stupid she believes her supporters are--for once, she's correct.

POTUS' choice for SCOTUS short list ready

President Trump is ready to make his Supreme Court justice choice this week after the country has gone 11 months with an empty seat after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. The Democrats weren't happy with the wait, but since it was nearing the end of a socialist president's term, the GOP, under Mitch McConnell, thought it best to take the gamble and wait until after the election.

A brilliant move.

It was worth the wait as it is likely Trump will pick a conservative Constitutional originalist as Justice Scalia was, to fill the seat.

President Trump has assured us the decision is coming soon. "I'll be making my decision this week, we'll be announcing next week," he said after meeting with bipartisan Senate leaders Tuesday. "We'll pick a truly great Supreme Court justice."

It will be very, very great. So great we're going to say 'Hey Donald, your pick was too great. We're getting tired of all this greatness.'

According to sources who ask to remain anonymous in order to find out more secret stuff, the list is down to  three or four names, all of whom are federal appeals court judges.

You may recall that President Trump said at a presser last week before taking the oath of office that a decision on the pick for Supreme Court would come within two weeks after taking office.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer backed up that timeline on Monday, and said the nomination remains a "priority."

Trump already met with Judge William Pryor from the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, in Birmingham, Ala. He is a close friend of the Attorney General nominee Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.).

Pryor was initially given a recess appointment to the appeals court but Senate Democrats tried to block his subsequent nominations, citing his strong criticism of the Roe v. Wade decision establishing a woman's right to kill her unborn baby. He called it the "worst abomination in the history of constitutional law."

As Ronald Reagan pointed out: "I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born."

Other possible judges on Trump's short list may be Judge Neil Gorsuch, on the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, with chambers in Denver. 

He was born in 1967 and went to Harvard Law School, clerked for Justices Byron White and Anthony Kennedy. He then went into private practice before joining the Bush Justice Department. His mother is Anne Burford, the first female EPA administrator. He also wrote: "The Future of Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia."

Judge Thomas Hardiman, 3rd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, with chamber in Pittsburgh.

He was born in 1965 and his 2010 ruling that a jail policy of strip-searching all those arrested does not violate the Fourth Amendment was affirmed by the Supreme Court. He also sits on the same court as President Trump's sister, Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, but she is not being considered for any high court vacancy.

There are more possible considerations but we shall see what he does in the days to come.

So far, Trump has met with auto industry leaders and others, and will be meeting with the British and Canadian Prime Ministers, Theresa May and Justin Trudeau, respectively.

Trump's Cabinet picks will be questioned by both parties

Monday will be President Donald Trump's first regular workday on the job. His Cabinet picks will be questioned by the Senate at the confirmation hearings. 

Trump's pick for CIA Director, Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kansas) will be grilled for the top spook position. He has already been asked by the Democrats about his opinions regarding global warming because Democrats think the fires set by ISIS to kill Jordanian pilots were actually caused by climate change.

Both parties have strong differences about the future of Trump's over 20 nominees. Top Democrats have decided to slow down the process of picking Pompeo for CIA Director. They worry that in spite of his graduating first in his class at West Point, he may not have a good grasp on LBGTQEXIK issues and abortion. 

Worse, he might also be a racist due to his party affiliation.

So the party that brought us the Vietnam War but protested it when Nixon became president is now gumming up the works in spite of the swift conformations Obama was granted by the GOP his first day in office. The top Democrats postponed Pompeo's vote because they wouldn't rush through the process of confirmation because they tend to need more time to suck enough.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck "Nostrils" Schumer told CNN's "State of the Union" that several of Trump's remaining nominees will be subject to a "thorough debate." And Schumer, as we all know, is a master debater, but he said he was "dubious" about eight or nine of Trump's picks.

So far, the Senate has confirmed Gens. James Mattis (aka "The Monk") as SecDef, and John Kelly as Homeland Security Secretary. But with all his bluster and nostril flaring, there is little Schumer can do about blocking a confirmation if the Republicans stick together. And we can all thank Harry Reid (aka "Hairy Weed") for that. 

A simple majority of 51 will do just fine and the GOP has a 52 to 48 majority in the Senate thanks to Obama's policies.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) appears confident about being able to get enough votes to have all of President Trump's nominees confirmed. (What goes around, comes around, Hairy.)

Even former ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson's chances becoming Secretary of State has improved when two influential GOPers expressed support after having waivered over his past professional ties to Russia.

"Though we still have concerns about his past dealing with the Russian government and President Vladimir Putin, we believe that Mr. Tillerson can be an effective advocate for U.S. interests," Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham said in a joint statement.

Along with McCain and Graham, fellow GOPer Sen. Marco Rubio questioned whether Tillerson has too many conflicts of interest, especially with Russia to champion U.S. policy abroad. 

For example, while at ExxonMobil, Tillerson spoke out against the sanctions we levied on Moscow when they annexed Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula in 2014. The penalties cost ExxonMobil hundreds of millions of dollars.

So Monday should prove to be an interesting day in terms of how the Democrats handle the confirmation hearing. By gumming up the gears they risk losing whatever support they have among somewhat normal independents.

Let's just see.

Another woman for Cabinet post--liberals confused

Washington D.C. -- President-elect Donald J. Trump has chosen Betsy DeVos, 58, to become education secretary. She is a charter school advocate and GOP donor from Michigan.

Liberals tend to dislike charter schools, not because they more often score higher academically than public schools in the inner cities, but because they are not unionized and under-performing teachers are held accountable. Yet while they were all ready to jump on Trump's picks, they're at a "Betsy loss" for words, believing that he would select an all white male Cabinet.

DeVos is Trump's second woman to fill a spot in his Cabinet. Earlier Wednesday he named SC governor Nikki Haley as our US ambassador to the United Nations, a position currently held by uber leftist Semantha Power.

Both DeVos and Haley will need Senate confirmation.

Trump describes DeVos as "a brilliant and passionate education advocate," and is known for supporting charter schools and vouchers. Liberals hate the idea of school choice for families and would rather keep kids from urban ghettos in their ghetto schools where there are significantly lower expectations.

The one issue that DeVos stands for is the Common Core standards that Trump rallied against in his campaign, but with Trump as POTUS, it's a non-issue.

Ms. DeVos is a former Michigan Republican Party chairwoman. Her husband, Dick, is an heir to the Amway fortune and a former company president. He could make you rich if you bought into the company.
