Trump calls for immediate Iron Dome construction for US

President Donald Trump said that building an Iron Dome-like defense shield for the U.S. is a top priority for him. On Monday, he called for "immediate" action on the project before he signed an executive order.

Trump made these comments at a Republican dinner in Florida. He also praised his newly-confirmed Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. After arriving at Joint Base Andrews that night, Trump confirmed he had signed the executive order on the plane.

"Pete Hegseth, who's going to be great, by the way… I think he's going to be fantastic," Trump said at the event. "I know him very well. I think he's going to be fantastic."

"He's what we need, to immediately begin the construction of a state-of-the-art Iron Dome missile defense shield, which will be able to protect Americans."

Trump pointed out that the U.S. protects other countries but not itself. He also noted that President Ronald Reagan was interested in such a system during the Cold War, but "we didn't have the technology."

"And now we have phenomenal technology. You see that with Israel," Trump continued. "So I think the United States is entitled to that. And everything will be made right here in the USA 100%."

"We're going next to ensure that we have the most lethal fighting force in the world."

On Monday, the State Department indicated that developing an Iron Dome for the U.S. is one of Hegseth's priorities.

"Other areas the secretary will study include reinstating troops that were pushed out because of COVID-19 vaccination mandates and developing an Iron Dome anti-missile system for the United States," the statement read.

This isn't the first time Trump has talked about an Iron Dome for America. At the Commander-In-Chief inaugural ball on Jan. 20, Trump mentioned that the project was on his agenda.

"We're also doing the Iron Dome all made in America," Trump said. "We're going to have a nice Iron Dome."

He also brought up the idea during his 2024 campaign.

"By next term we will build a great Iron Dome over our country," Trump said at a West Palm Beach event on June 14. "We deserve a dome…it's a missile defense shield, and it'll all be made in America."

POTUS sending B-52s to S. Korea

U.S. military leaders are preparing to send B-52 Stratofortress bombers to the Korean peninsula as tensions mount after Kim (aka 'Lardbod') Jong Un carried out a series of missile launches in defiance of the weak-kneed United Nations.

The B-52 is a long-range, subsonic, jet-powered bomber capable of carrying 70,000 pounds of weapons and has a typical combat range of over 8,800 miles without aerial refueling. The current YB-52 has eight turboprop engines and was built to carry nukes for Cold War-era deterrence missions. Thus far, in combat, the B-52 has only dropped conventional (dumb bomb) munitions in combat. The official name Stratofortress is rarely used; informally it has become commonly referred to as BUFF, a military sobriquet whose last "F" cannot be printed here, but the first three letters in the acronym stand for "Big Ugly Fat".

"Uh oh"

Earlier this week, Corpulent Kim fired off four ballistic missiles into the seas less than 200 miles off Japan's coast. For this, President Trump is sending in B-1 and B-52 bombers to show he's fed up with Kim's shenanigans.

The annual Foal Eagle military exercises with U.S. and South Korean troops are currently taking place, another stern warning to Kim. About 300,000 South Koreans and 15,000 U.S. personnel are taking part in the operation.

Secretary of Defense James Mattis said the U.S. "remains steadfast in its commitment" to defend South Korea, according to Pentagon spokesman Navy Capt. Jeff Davis.

"He further emphasized that any attack on the United States or its allies will be defeated and any use of nuclear weapons will be met with a response that is effective and overwhelming," Capt. Davis said.

The Korean Times reports that the Trump administration is also expected to deploy a series of strategic assets from Guam and Japan. Also, the USS Carl Vinson, a Nimitz-class super-carrier will join the Foal Eagle exercise as it rendezvous from San Diego.

The USS Carl Vinson will carry 24 F/A-18 Super Hornet fighters, 10 air tankers, six SH-3H Sea King helicopters, four EA-6B Prowler jamming aircraft, 10 S-3 Viking anti-sub aircraft and four E-2 Hawkeye early warning aircraft.

It will be accompanied by the USS Lake Champlain (CG-57) a guided-missile cruiser, and two Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers.

The U.S. Marine Corps in Japan will deploy F-35B stealth fighters. 

"An F-35B is capable of evading anti-aircraft radar and making preemptive strikes," a military spokesman said.

According to Pyongyang's Korea Central News Agency, Kim has stressed "a need for preparation for a fight."

I don't think he'd get past the first minute of the first round.

Obama sent US Special Forces to Russian border

This is crazy news and the mainstream media hasn't put it out to the public yet. 

We all know Russian hostility against the US is at Cold War levels, and for his time in office, Obama, our so-called president, has responded to Putin like a wife angry at her husband for leaving the seat up.

But this is very serious and impossible to ignore--Russia is deploying nuclear-ready missiles along its western border with Poland and Lithuania, both NATO allies, and Belarus, a US ally not in NATO. In response to this move, Obama has sent US special forces to Lithuania.

US special forces will help bolster Lithuanian and other NATO allies defenses against Russia and if push should hit the fan, shove will fight back to fulfill our NATO obligation. That could mean war.

Worse, it could mean Obama stays in office due to the fact that it would be a national emergency. My paranoid fear when he first took office was that he would go to any lengths to stay in power.

It makes me want to throw up in my mouth.

"The United States was the first to offer additional safety assurance measures to the Baltic countries following the deterioration of the security situation in the region after the annexation of the Crimea," said the Lithuanian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Asta Galdikaite. "US Special Operations Forces presence in Lithuania is one of the deterrents" she said, [against Russian expansion].

General Raymond Thomas head of the Pentagon's Special Operations Command told The New York Times that the Baltic states are "scared to death of Russia. They are very open about that."

If someone on either side of the showdown even goes so far as to "flip the bird," it could start a shooting war. But the shooting would be of nukes, not guns.

Russians undergo nuclear survival drills as Cold War gets hotter

During the Cold War, American school kids were taught to get under their desks when the air raid siren sounded. The teacher would shout: "Take cover" and we scrambled to the floor.

The desks would protect us from the nuclear blast, the shock wave, flying glass and falling debris. In our minds, we believed our desks could have been used to fight the Nazi tank commander, Rommel, because they were so strong and protective.

But it wasn't the Nazis we were preparing for--it was the Russians.

Now the Russians have stepped up nuclear survival measures as they see us as the possible threat and they are getting their old Soviet-era civil defense plans out of mothballs and upgrading bomb shelters ith their biggest cities.

As far as the Kremlin's Ministry of Emergency Situations is concerned, the Cold War has taken a curtain call. Russia has recently held its biggest civil defense drills since the U.S.S.R. had collapsed. About 40 million people all across Russia were involved with rehearsing a four-day response to chemical and nuclear threats.

Television stations aired videos of emergency workers in hazmat suits and other officials checking ventilation in bomb shelters. Students tried on gas masks and placed dummies on stretchers.

Commentators on state-run airwaves spoke in the strongest anti-American rhetoric in years. "Russia is sick of America's arrogant lies," Dmitry Kiselyov said a month after the Syrian peace plan fell apart. Kiselyov is a well-known and influential Russian.

Ironically, there isn't much coverage on what should be a growing concern over peace in the future. Does Russia know something we don't? Do they know something that our leaders are not telling us? 

Should we worry, or should we continue to cut our military strength?

DEFCON alert updated to level 3 due to Russian nuclear threat

The US has upped our defense readiness condition (DEFCON) alert to level 3 as the Russian threat to the nation goes 'beyond Cold War.' DEFCON is our military alert system to indicate the risk of nuclear war.

The lowest (normal) state of readiness is a 5. At our current level, the U.S. Air Force is ready to scramble in 15 minutes.

The DEFCON conspiracy theory website claims that although there isn't an imminent nuclear threat against us, the situation is considered "fluid and can change rapidly."

The website bases its warning on "current affairs" and reports: "Tensions between Russia and the United States have reached levels beyond the cold war in the recent week. The situation between Russia and the United States is extremely fluid at the moment. In all likelihood as dynamic as at times during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.

"At this time, the DEFCON Warning System feels that an increase to DEFCON 3 would be a prudent move."

Meanwhile, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are talking about scandals.

Carter warns Russia . . . sort of

Secretary of Defense Ash "Don't Call Me Jimmy" Carter is welcoming in Gen. Curtis Sacparrotti, the new U.S. military boss for Europe. This was the perfect opportunity for him to send a tough bunch of words to Moscow about not messing with the NATO alliance. Words, much like we have seen by the administration in the past. 

And we all know how that's working out.

Carter spoke in Stuttgart saying "We do not seek to make Russia an enemy. But make no mistake--we will defend our allies, the rules-based international order, and the positive future it affords us," he told the U.S. military's European Command.

Carter said that he does not want a Cold War nor a "hot" war. However, Carter said that Russia wants to 'erode' the peaceful order the West has had since the end of the Cold War.

Carter warned that the commie borscht-eaters are stepping up their submarine patrols to the North Atlantic, but feared to mention Russian jets showing off to us with their "barrel rolls over our military aircraft over the past several weeks. However, he did find the testicular fortitude to say that Russia's leaders are"nuclear saber-rattling" and that puts the world at risk.

The weak-kneed Obama administration's resolve to go up against Russia is debatable. In fact, back in 2012 Obama said on an open mike assuring then President Dmitry Medvedev that he would have more "flexibility" on the issue of missile defense after the election, showing the world that Obama is really our 'Manchurian Candidate."

There are over 60,000 U.S. troops stationed in Europe; during the Cold War there were over 200,000, mostly in Germany where Elvis was spotted.

Carter claimed that "Russia's aggressive actions only serve to further its isolation, and unite our alliance."

Russia, of course, sees it differently. They believe the U.S. violated a 1997 treaty saying that NATO cannot amass forces along the Border with Russia, but the treaty doesn't say what an agreeable number of forces would be.

Carter told the media that the U.S. is considering adding more personnel in Eastern Europe but is going to consult first with NATO officials before final decisions are made. He believes up to four battalions (about 4,000) soldiers could be added.

While Carter talked like Rocky Balboa, he ended the conversation sounding like Richard Simmons, saying that he's willing to work together in the future. 'We'll keep the door open for Russia. But it's up to the Kremlin to decide."

Medvedev warns of "grave consequences" if we don't fall in line

According to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev (he's the guy who Obama told to be patient because in his second term he will be "more flexible") the world is fighting a new Cold War. He said that if the West fails to cooperate with Russia's involvement in Syria and elsewhere, there will be grave consequences.

"We have slid, in essence, into times of a new Cold War," he said Saturday in Germany as he addressed senior international officials at a security conference. He referenced the Syria fighting as a situation where Russian-Western cooperation is vital, particularly on military issues and that cooperation was key.

"Military officials must be in constant contact. They should be calling each other 10 times a day," Medvedev said.

Russia has been helping Syrian president Bashar al-Assad militarily while we have been helping the rebels who are trying to overthrow the chinless leader. It's more of a lose-lose situation than anything else.

In the current talks, Russia and the United States are in a working group whose task is to determine what specifically needs to be done in order to effect a cease-fire in the Syrian conflict. 

In one group exercise, a Russian group member said to an American group member, "Trust me," as the American group member had to close his eyes and fall backwards, trusting that the Russian would catch him.

He didn't and the American crashed to the floor and his his head.

And that is what the Hillary reset button has accomplished.

Okay, I made the 'trust me-fall backwards' part up, but it isn't far from the truth.

The NY Times: America's Most Red Paper

Chelsea Manning had an Op Ed in the Gray Lady, aka The New York Times. You should remember Chelsea as Bradley Manning, but he has since changed his name to fit his self-image of a woman trapped inside a traitor's body.  It seems fitting that someone like Chelsea would write for America's most red paper.

Back in 1996, The New York Times did an obituary piece on another American traitor, Alger Hiss, who died all too soon at the age of 92. The evidence of Hiss's guilt was overwhelming but the paper referred to Alger Hiss as: " . . . the erudite diplomat and Harvard trained government lawyer who was convicted of perjury in an espionage case that became one of the great riddles of the Cold War . . . " in an article by Janny Scott. 

But columnist, George Will said that Hiss's claim to innocence up to the time of his death had become "one of the long-running lies of modern American history." I tend to believe Will and those who testified against Hiss who had no ax to grind.

It seems that the Times always goes out of its way to defend or glorify those who hate America. 

Back to Miss Manning. on August 21, 2013 the editorial board wrote that they believe the 35 year sentence Chelsea received was too severe (see New York Times ).

"He had previously pleaded guilty to lesser versions of those [Espionage Act] crimes that exposed him to 20 years behind bars. For a defense lawyer, a sentence of one-third the potential maximum [90 years] is usually not a bad outcome. But from where we sit, it is still too much, given his stated desire not to betray his country but to encourage debate on American aims and shed light on the "day to day" realities of the American war effort."

So Chelsea gave over 700,000 classified government documents to Wikileaks, the largest cache of secret material ever made public in American history for all our enemies to see, He broke the law, betrayed his oath as a military intelligence analyst, helped the enemies of the United States with information, and The New York Times thinks 35 years is "too long by any standard." 

No, 35 years is too long by The New York Times' standard because they believe Manning's intentions supersede his behavior. That makes as much sense as a drunk driver claiming he didn't mean to jump the curb and kill those people.

Mad Magazine once made light of the Times with a masthead that read: "For all the news that fits we print," a take-off on their actual slogan. The trouble is, that is no longer true of the Times, and most of the mainstream media. They often do not print what they don't want you to read. You have to get your real news from the blogs and a few conservative news outlets.

Why Bob Costas is an Idiot

Bob Costas they say, is suffering from pink eye, but I believe it may be more serious than that; I'd say he has a case of pinko. He spoke glowingly of Vladimir Putin and it became very clear that he, Costas, should stick to sports broadcasting and stay as far away from actual politics and history as possible. He's either an idiot or a communist.

You remember Mikhail Gorbachev and glasnost. Well, glasnost was not originated by Gorby to describe how he led Russia "out of its totalitarian state and to democracy, to freedom, to openness" to quote his words (Disinformation by Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa and Ronald Rychlak, p. 14). Glasnost is deception and an art perfected by Russian rulers. Even George W. Bush was fooled by Putin when, in 2001, at the end of the Slovenia summit he said of Putin: "I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy" (p.14). Bush might have added: "so will you carry me across the stream, Mr. Scorpion?"
