Hegseth fires U.S. Navy Chief of Staff

In a decisive bit of housecleaning that has the swamp creatures squirming, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday showed Jon Harrison the door as the Navy's chief of staff, just days after the Senate greenlit Hung Cao as the service's new undersecretary.

This Harrison clown's got zerp military chops before getting shoehorned into the job, where he played budget fairy and policy puppet-master for the Navy, all while neutering the undersecretary's clout like it was yesterday's news.

"Jon Harrison will no longer serve as chief of staff to the Secretary of the Navy," the Department of Defense told the New York Post in a statement. "We are grateful for his service to the department." [Yeah, sure they are.]

Harrison tag-teamed with Navy Sec. John Phelan, another civilian suit with zilch in uniform experience, to ram through a bureaucratic shake-up, swapping out the yes-men who would prop up Cao and stacking the deck so the secretary's office calls all the shots on his military aides, Politico reports.

Talk about a power grab wrapped in red tape. And get this: Harrison's pink slip drops right on the heels of Hegseth's May edict to cull a fifth of the Pentagon's four-star bloat: generals and admirals who've been more focused on pronouns than projectiles.

Hegseth has been on a tear, booting high-octane brass left and right, including the military's only two female four-stars, The Guardian whines.

Then on Tuesday, Hegseth lit into the top echelons at Quantico, VA, torching the armed forces' dive into "woke" quicksand and blasting those godawful diversity-and-inclusion fever dreams that turned warriors into workshop attendees.

About time someone drained that rainbow swamp.

If you like Brain Flushings and want to Buy Me A Coffee, I would appreciate it, as it supports my work. Obviously, there is no pressure but I certainly wouldn't stop you.

911 Call shows how Austin et al, tried to cover up his hospitalization from the get-go

Houthis are firing missiles at our ships in the Red Sea. Israel and Hamas are at war. Ukraine and Russia are also at war. Kim Jong Un is totally unpredictable as he fires ordnance close to South Korea. Terrorists are among the illegal aliens invading our nation. A barely sentient old man is the POTUS. And Lloyd Austin, our Secretary of Defense, was AWOL for five days during all this and nobody but his close staff knew.

Austin is convalescing at home now after his two-week hospitalization. He was being treated for an infection after prostate surgery that he never told Biden about, nor even his Deputy Secretary of Defense, Kathleen Hicks. However, we now know more about his coverup of the events as a 911 call placed to rush him to the hospital on January 1st, shows how he and his loyal aides tried to keep his condition a secret right from the start.

The 911 call was obtained by the Daily Beast via public records request. It happened when Austin realized he needed to get himself to the hospital and the call shows how he intended to keep the situation secret as his big butt was carted off to Walter Reed Medical Center where he covertly remained for five days without even Joey Biden knowing his whereabouts [as if Biden would remember that he called in the first place].
One heck of a cover up from Lloyd Austin's team and the Biden admin: pic.twitter.com/o2iK7iPt5L— Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) January 16, 2024
According to the outlet's report, the coverup that saw the American people and senior Biden administration officials including the president and secretary of state left in the dark was "well-known among his close aides."

Austin's aide who made a 911 call to request an ambulance for the top official early this month requested that the dispatchers work to be “subtle” when they arrived at his residence, according to an audio recording of the Jan. 1 911 call exclusively obtained by The Daily Beast.

“Can I ask—can the ambulance not show up with lights and sirens? Uhm, we’re trying to remain a little subtle,” the aide said, according to the recording, which The Daily Beast obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in the state of Virginia.

The dispatcher responded that the ambulance could do that, noting that “usually when they turn into a residential neighborhood, they'll turn them off.” She added that the ambulance is required by law to run the sirens and lights on main streets, such as Georgetown Pike and Leesburg Pike.

The audio of the call, which has not previously been reported, reveals new details about the Secretary of Defense’s emergency, and suggests that the effort to keep his ailment secret was well-known among his close aides.

This administration, how can I say it gently, sucks!

BREAKING: We now know why Lloyd Austin was AWOL

Useless Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin did not have gender transition surgery that went awry. He did not need to have his pronouns checked. While he was AWOL from his job, telling nobody, including alleged President Joe Biden [his boss] where he was and what was wrong, he was hospitalized for five days due to complications from prostate cancer treatment. Not even his second in command, Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks, was told of Austin's situation while she vacationed in sunny Puerto Rico.

Ironically, nobody missed Austin, much like what happened when Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg took six weeks off to chest feed his child. We know Buttigieg's job is a waste of taxpayer money, but we need a defense department with a defense secretary leading it, but if Austin can be gone for five days, how much is he needed?

He should be forced to resign.

Austin, a 70-year-old DEI hire, was released from Walter Reed Army Medical Center one day after the initial procedure Dec. 22, only to experience “severe pain” on the evening of Jan. 1st that forced him to be rushed back to the hospital.

Between Jan. 1 and Jan. 5, Austin was incognito and useless, and while Biden was in the dark about Austin, Hicks was in the sun.

Our government is run by incompetent fools and headed by an old man with senile dementia who cannot string two coherent sentences together, even with a teleprompter.

BREAKING: Gen. James 'Mad Dog' Mattis leaving in February

Defense Secretary James Mattis will retire at the end of February, President Trump says Thursday evening.

Gen. Mattis will be retiring 'with distinction' Trump said, but it is likely that the Syrian pull-out may have been the last straw for the retired U.S. Marine Corps general.

President Trump ignored Mattis' suggestion as to who should be the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and this may have also contributed to his shocking announcement.

"Because you have the right to have a Secretary of Defense, whose views are aligned with yours, I believe it's right for me to step down from my position . . . " his letter said in small part.

Mattis is a Democrat and a fierce warrior for the United States.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned.

POTUS to speak on Afghanistan Monday

President Trump will be addressing the nation Monday night regarding the war in Afghanistan. Mr. Trump might be considering taking a fresh approach to the longest war we've fought.

Trump will "provide an update on the path forward for America's engagement in Afghanistan and South Asia," the White House announced.

He hinted that he and his top generals have agreed on a new strategy for the war after they put their heads together at Camp David retreat.

Trump went to Twitter to make his innermost thoughts known:
"Important day spent at Camp David with our very talented Generals and military leaders. Many decisions made, including on Afghanistan."
Since his inauguration, President Trump has considered several options for our involvement in Afghanistan, from sending more troops and actually treating it as a war, to walking away from it and actually treating is as an Obama strategy if he could get consensus.

The latter move is unlikely, however, since we are trying to deal with Islamic terrorism and that wouldn't be smart as it would only embolden ISIS, the Taliban and other groups like Antifa.

Defense Secretary James Mattis said earlier in the week that the administration was "very close" to finalizing a new approach.

Ash Carter tiptoes around China

Defense Secretary Ash Carter spoke at an international security conference in Singapore Saturday and said that China's military behavior in the South China Sea could lead to a "great wall of self-isolation," and perhaps a strong letter from Secretary of State John Kerry.

"There is growing anxiety in this region, and in this room, about China's activities on the seas, in cyberspace, and in the region's airspace," Carter said. "Indeed, in the South China Sea, China has taken some expansive and unprecedented actions, that have generated concerns about China's strategic intentions."

Carter also dismounted from his unicorn, named Barry, and called a future U.N. arbitration ruling on the Philippines challenge to China's claims in the contested region "an opportunity for China and the rest of the region to recommit to a principled future to renewed diplomacy, and lowering tensions, rather than raising them."

The SecDef defended the need to exercise its rights to fly and sail small military aircraft and ships near the coasts of other countries, including China's.

"What we stand for is the principle of rule of law and abiding by international law in the commons," Carter said. "It's not a focus on China," he lied, "it's a focus on principle."

Then he got back on his untrustworthy mount and rode off into the sunset.

Carter warns Russia . . . sort of

Secretary of Defense Ash "Don't Call Me Jimmy" Carter is welcoming in Gen. Curtis Sacparrotti, the new U.S. military boss for Europe. This was the perfect opportunity for him to send a tough bunch of words to Moscow about not messing with the NATO alliance. Words, much like we have seen by the administration in the past.

And we all know how that's working out.

Carter spoke in Stuttgart saying "We do not seek to make Russia an enemy. But make no mistake--we will defend our allies, the rules-based international order, and the positive future it affords us," he told the U.S. military's European Command.

Carter said that he does not want a Cold War nor a "hot" war. However, Carter said that Russia wants to 'erode' the peaceful order the West has had since the end of the Cold War.

Carter warned that the commie borscht-eaters are stepping up their submarine patrols to the North Atlantic, but feared to mention Russian jets showing off to us with their "barrel rolls over our military aircraft over the past several weeks. However, he did find the testicular fortitude to say that Russia's leaders are"nuclear saber-rattling" and that puts the world at risk.

The weak-kneed Obama administration's resolve to go up against Russia is debatable. In fact, back in 2012 Obama said on an open mike assuring then President Dmitry Medvedev that he would have more "flexibility" on the issue of missile defense after the election, showing the world that Obama is really our 'Manchurian Candidate."

There are over 60,000 U.S. troops stationed in Europe; during the Cold War there were over 200,000, mostly in Germany where Elvis was spotted.

Carter claimed that "Russia's aggressive actions only serve to further its isolation, and unite our alliance."

Russia, of course, sees it differently. They believe the U.S. violated a 1997 treaty saying that NATO cannot amass forces along the Border with Russia, but the treaty doesn't say what an agreeable number of forces would be.

Carter told the media that the U.S. is considering adding more personnel in Eastern Europe but is going to consult first with NATO officials before final decisions are made. He believes up to four battalions (about 4,000) soldiers could be added.

While Carter talked like Rocky Balboa, he ended the conversation sounding like Richard Simmons, saying that he's willing to work together in the future. 'We'll keep the door open for Russia. But it's up to the Kremlin to decide."

Elvis has left the building.

Ash Carter's tough words to Iran

The Obama administration will go down in history as being the toughest, most vocabulary-strong nation in North America. We don't need to confront our enemies on a battlefield, we can do it with words in the media. That's sure to bring the fear of Allah into the hearts of Iran and other foe.

Secretary of Defense Ash Carter defined Iran's treatment of American sailors they detained this past January as "outrageous." He even said that the treatment is "inconsistent with international law," and boy, they're in big trouble now that the Senate Armed Services Committee heard those powerful words on Wednesday.

Carter thinks the nuclear deal with Iran will actually get them to not develop nuclear weapons. But he had to acknowledge that "our concerns with Iran persist."

Gee, ya think?

Carter sent this barrage of words out against Iran:
"I want to say some words about Iran's treatment of our sailors on Farsi Island back in January. As I made clear then Iran's actions were outrageous, unprofessional and inconsistent with international law and nothing we've learned about the circumstances of this incident since then changes that fact. It's because of Iran's recklessness and destabilizing behavior in that part of the world that DOD remains full speed ahead in our investments, our planning, and our posture to ensure that we deter Iran's aggression, deter its malign influence and uphold our ironclad commitments to our regional friends and allies, especially Israel, to whom we maintain an unwavering, and unbreakable commitment."

In spite of Iran's anticipation of these strong and harsh words, an Iranian general bragged how the Islamic Republic had over 13,000 pages of intelligence from the computers of the sailors, the GPS devices, and maps. They also made videos of the sailors and claimed that one of them cried on camera while they kneeled at gunpoint.

Had Iran known how harsh our Secretary of Defense's words were going to be, they would have thought twice about capturing our sailors and humiliating them for all the world to see.

Then they would have gone ahead and did exactly what they did. They know how Obama's words are as weak as his three-point shot.

All hat, no cattle.

An administration of idiots

Are we being led by an administration of idiots? Amateurs? Do they care about our national security or are they so clueless that they don't even realize how dangerous their blase attitudes are about how they secure their government emails?

Defense Secretary Ash Carter did a "Hillary Clinton" during the first thrree months as SecDef this year. That is, he used his personal email account for his "professional" correspondence (scare quotes for me indicate my skepticism), the Pentagon admitted on Wednesday.

The New York Times first reported this story saying that Carter had been confronted about his email habits by Denis McDonough, the White House Chief of Staff, three months after he took office as defense secretary (aka "Government Secrets Disseminater to Russia, China, ISIS and Fox News").

Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook released a statement saying that Carter believes his use of personal email for work-related business was a mistake, but did not mention whether it was a violation of Pentagon email policies.

If it was not a violation of Pentagon email policies, that would mean the Pentagon email policies were either written by a) one of our enemy countries or entities; b) Hillary Clinton; or c) an Alzheimer patient.

Cook said Carter stopped using his personal email, but he didn't say when. That is very reassuring to us.

Carter admitted that he occasionally used his personal iPhone to send messages to his staff, but added that no classified information was in those messages [or at least marked classified].

The Times reported that our SecDef was assigned a government email account when he first became Obama's SecDef "yes man" in February, but he didn't think he needed to use a secure account when a personal account could almost do the same job. Even his own staff thought he would or could be hacked.

In 2012 Pentagon policy barred all employees, not just the upper echelon, from conducting government business on their personal email, and even President Obama barred federal employees from sending or receiving emails from personal accounts unless the messages were either copied or forwarded into government accounts within 20 days. Did Carter follow that directive?

You make the call.

Even while Hillary was under FBI investigation about her alleged mishandling of classified information, using a private account for all her emails as secretary of state, evidently Carter didn't think it also pertained to him. He continued this practice no less than two months after the "Scandal Queen's" practices were made public.

The Times reported that the emails it received under FOIA were between Carter and Eric Fanning, his then chief of staff and now acting secretary of the Army.

Personally, I don't care a fig what the emails said or who the emails involved, the fact that our secretary of defense, like our incompetent secretary of state, cannot follow a simple procedure is an indication of an administration that is out of control with its arrogance and belief that the law and common sense don't apply to them.

No Guts, No Freedom

Obama's strategy to train Iraqi forces and provide them with weapons is as brilliant as his plan to fund companies like Solyndra and provide them with taxpayer money. Both are out of business.

According to Defense Secretary Ash Carter, Iraqi forces were not outgunned or out manned in Ramadi, they simply displayed "no will to fight." So my guess is that Obama will throw more taxpayer dollars at the problem, as if that will change anything.

Carter spoke on CNN's "State of the Union" about last week's battle stating that the Iraqi forces far outnumbered the ISIS scumcrumpets. "What apparently happened is the Iraqi forces just showed no will to fight. They were not outnumbered. In fact, they vastly outnumbered the opposing force. That says to me," Carter said, "and I think to most of us, that we have an issue with the will of the Iraqis to fight ISIL and defend themselves."

What it says to me is that Obama never seems to make the right decisions.

Hakim al-Zamili, head of Iraq's parliamentary defense and security committee, responded to Carter's claims stating the U.S. military commanders failed to support the Iraqis and are pointing fingers of blame on them. According to al-Zamili, Carter's claims are "unrealistic and baseless," and U.S. military is simply trying to "throw the blame on somebody else."

Personally, I blame the mothers and fathers of the Iraqi fighters who have failed to provide their offspring with a sense of patriotism and civic duty.

I also blame the lack of testicular fortitude of the "fighters" themselves--the Brownies have more courage than those dudes.

Ramadi is less than a quarter of a tank of gas from Baghdad, about 70 miles, and is a strategic win for ISIS in more ways than one. It's a recruiting tool for young and impressionable psychopaths and controls much of the western part of Iraq.

Ramadi has fueled questions about Obama's approach in Iraq: retraining the Iraqi so-called army while rebuilding it, and pushing Baghdad to make nice to Iraq's Sunnis and bombing the Islamic State targets without using American forces.

"No denying it is a setback," White House spokesman Eric Schultz said. (Eric is not related to Ed Schultz, but if he were, he would have said Obama is doing a great job and the GOP can go to hell.)

While Carter defended his paycheck by saying the airstrikes are an effective strategy against ISIL, he admitted that they cannot be a replacement for Iraqi forces willing to defend their country.

Carter also said that there are no military plans to send U.S. troops into the fight as target spotters, which means that the Obama administration is okay with having the appearance of fighting ISIL by blowing up empty buildings and riderless camels but he obviously doesn't see the Islamic State as a threat.

Perhaps he sees them as a future ally once Israel is out of the picture.

The Islamic State inherited about 6 tanks, 6 artillery pieces, dozens of armored personnel carriers and about 100 Humvees. IS considers this booty just like their prophet did--they were also hoping for sex slaves.

Panetta: Another James Clapper with a Bigger Nose

"So Barack says to Netanyahu . . . "
Leon Panetta spoke at the Brookings Institute where he admonished Israel and said that they better do more to negotiate with the Palestinians and "Just get to the damned table--". He said that Israel must negotiate for a two state solution, and used some expletives to show the pseudo-macho frustrations of a little man with a large nose. Although he admitted that the failure to negotiate isn't entirely Israel's fault, but he made it clear that Israel should reach out and mend fences with those who share an interest in regional stability--you know, like Egypt, Turkey and Jordan--places that love the Jewish people.

Of course, Panetta's thinking is evidence that he has a thought disorder, is smoking dope, or is simply an Obama zombie. He said that everyone knows what the problem between the two countries are, but it's obvious that Panetta hasn't really a clue about what the problems are between Palestine and Israel: it's Islam, stupid.

When are we, as a nation, going to "get it?" What will it take to prove to us, in the West, that Muslims detest Jews? When will we believe what they are saying in Muslim countries, like Iran, that Israel must be destroyed, Jews must be killed, and Islam must spread throughout the world? When will we, as a nation, understand that this threat to Israel is no less a threat to us? We're just deeper into the Islamic time schedule of jihad.

The worst thing you can call an Arab is "Jew." This anti-Semitism isn't a new hatred, it's an old, religious one, straight from their "holy book" the Koran, proclaimed to be the actual words of Allah. And this desert god has said in the Koran, that Jews were derived from pigs and apes. But don't think Christians are off the hook--they're the same as Jews, only less piggish or something.

So Panetta can expletive all he damn well wants, it isn't going to change how Islam sees Israel. It does not matter how many concessions Israel agrees to give them. It isn't concessions they want. What they want is an end to Israel. They meant it when they said it the last time, and a thousand times before that. They meant it when they said that Islam will rule the world and the name of Allah will be spoken by everyone. Those who refuse to speak the name of Allah will not be around to refuse. This is the Islamic concept of "peace."

Panetta is truly a danger to himself and others.
