NY Gov. Hochul pleads with New Yorkers to return from Florida, admits taxes chased them off

New York Governor Kathy Hochul did her best impression of a broke ex who suddenly wants the old flame back this week, basically pleading with the wealthy “captives” she’s already scared off to please, pretty please, come home and bankroll her endless parade of socialist wish-list items.

In a fireside chat with Nick Reisman at the Politico New York Agenda summit, Hochul finally uttered the words conservatives have been screaming into the void for years: high taxes make rich people leave. It’s human nature, guys.

Shocking development, I know.

After treating the state’s high-net-worth crowd like a bottomless slot machine for far too long, the governor had her come-to-Jesus moment: “I need people who are high-net-worth to support the generous social programs that we want to have in our state … cut me the checks, if you want to be supportive, but maybe the first step should be to go down to Palm Beach and see who we can bring back home because our tax base has been eroded.”

Translation: The well has run dry, the golden geese have flown south to a place with zero state income tax and a governor who doesn’t treat them like escaped prisoners.

Remote work changed everything,” Hochul whined, sounding exactly like a warden who just noticed the jailbreak in progress. “There were people who could only work in an office in Manhattan . . .  and they were captives to our state. They were going to stay. We saw that that’s not the case.”

She even copped to Wall Street eyeballing Texas, not because the Lone Star governor is more charming, but “they’re going there because of the tax rate.”

Despite this rare flash of self-awareness, Hochul’s big-brain fix isn’t slashing the bloated spending or dialing back the “generous” programs that created the exodus. Nope. She’s reduced to begging “patriotic millionaires” to “cut me the checks” and floating the idea of a recruitment safari in Florida. “Maybe the first step should be to go down to Palm Beach and see who we can bring back home because our tax base has been eroded,” she said, showing us again how much she knows about human nature.

Yeah, good luck selling that timeshare pitch. Why swap a beachfront cabana and year-round sunshine for a guilt-trip voicemail from Albany demanding tribute?

The governor also burned plenty of oxygen griping about the Trump administration, pinning everything from gas prices to her own flailing green-energy fantasies on the former president. She admitted her eco-mandates are “scaring the crap out of everybody” with utility bills going through the roof, yet she’s still peddling an “all-of-the-above approach” while begging for “breathing room.”

In the end, Hochul remains firmly in denial, clinging to her vision of a socialist paradise paid for by other people’s money. She’s just now discovering, way too late, what Margaret Thatcher tried to tell everyone: eventually, you run out of other people’s money.

Classic liberal arc: spend like there’s no tomorrow, chase away the payers, then act surprised when the math doesn’t math.

Hey, Kathy, human nature is a bummer.

Oh the horror! Leftist panic grows as conservatism grows in U.S.

It looks like America has had enough with left-wing fiddle-farting with our lives and the leftist media is doing a "Biden with Pope" move regarding the fear that Trump may win a second presidential term.

According to the left-wing outlet The Economist, a "growing peril" of a national conservative movement is spreading faster throughout the U.S. than crotch crabs on a president's son.

The outlet called on liberals to stop the MAGA movement that they claim is "dangerous." Which translates to 'stop the MAGA movement by any means necessary.' See, it's actually the leftist lunatics who are the real danger to democracy. [See Trump trials for further references.]

The authors compared conservatism in the 1980s during the Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher era to former President Trump's presidency.

The article warns that conservatives will reign power by capturing "state institutions, including courts, universities, and the independent press." As it stands now, the left wants to keep those institutions for themselves because they aren't good at sharing.

The Economist did not mention the real problems the U.S. and the rest of the Western world faces, thus avoiding focusing on the economy, law enforcement, the weaponization of the judicial system, the slow Islamization of the West, and the obvious threats by Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, and even North Korea.

Better not to look--it's pretty scary.

Instead, the outlet calls to arm against the growing conservative movement, as if we are the enemy. The reason that we're growing is because their policies aren't working and are even making things worse. Meanwhile, Biden and his party whistle past the grave, pretending that there's nothing to see other than a strong economy and the blossoms of democracy.

If you believe that tripe, you might believe that Joe Biden is the smartest president ever.

Biden makes contact with the dead: "Beware the eyes of Trump"

The following is satire based on the incredible truth.

Joe "Jumping Dentures" Biden may have finally made contact with the beyond at a seance. Or maybe he's just plain crazy goofy, but he claimed that the late Margaret Thatcher, who died six years ago, spoke to him and warned him about President Trump.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden  had to walk back his claim over the weekend after telling donors Margaret Thatcher is concerned about the United States under President Trump. He knew nobody would believe him, even if he actually did hear Maggie talking to him from behind a black curtain at the seance.

Woooooo.

Ms. Thatcher, the former prime minister of Britain, died in 2013 – nearly two years before Trump launched his first campaign for president.

According to Bloomberg News, Biden eventually corrected himself, explaining to the donors he meant to say British Prime Minister Theresa May instead of Thatcher, blaming the mix-up on a “Freudian slip.” [Biden often wears Freudian slips to bed at night to tickle Jill's fancy.]

Henny Youngman may have been the "King of the One-Liners," but Joe Biden is "King of the Gaffes." And lately, they are coming more frequently than Hamas rockets heading toward Israel.

Biden’s confusing comments came Saturday during a closed-door fundraiser in Columbia, South Carolina. He listed Thatcher as one of 14 heads of state who he claimed has voiced concerns to him about Trump, the outlet reported. Also on the list were Gerald Ford, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Japan Prime Minister Sessue Hayakawa and Israel's Golda Meir.

During his wandering tour Sleepy Joe was asked by media if he had a nickname for President Trump. He replied that he didn't want to "get down in the mud" with Trump, then he got down in the mud and gave the sobriquet of "clown."

Brilliant!

“There’s so many nicknames I’m inclined to give this guy,” Biden said. “You can just start with clown.”

Other nicknames he thought might work were: "Donald Duck Trump," "Funny Hair Trump," "Sump Pump Trump" and finally "Not a Very Good President Trump."

Brilliant!

When asked what he planned to do to relax at night while on the campaign trail, Biden said, "I'm just gonna sit in a nice, hot bathtub and watch those old bubbles rise to the top."

Obama wants to give himself more of our money

"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." -- Margaret Thatcher
Hillary Clinton went brain dead when Chris Matthews asked her what the differences are between socialists and Democrats. Either she sees no large differences, or she doesn't have a grasp on political/economical concepts. The truth is, I suspect, she doesn't want to admit to the two being virtually the same.

Bernie Sanders calls himself a democratic socialist. He knows quite clearly what a socialist is and he embraces democratic socialism where there is democratic control of a socialist economic system, thereby combining political democracy with government ownership of important elements of production.

And if you know anything at all about how wonderfully our government conducts businesses (e.g. the U.S. Postal Service) you would rather vote for Hillary, the felon, than Bernie, the democratic socialist, if you had no choice.

Now we have President Barack Obama, a leftist guy who has dictatorially tried to take the country as far left as he could, and he wants more of our money for himself when he retires.

He takes socialism to even lower lows.

You remember how long it took him to produce a budget. Well, his 2016 and 2017 budget request was drafted a lot quicker and published on Wednesday. The Thief in Chief is proposing an 18% hike in appropriations and expenditures of former presidents.

Just a little self-serving, Mr. Obama. If you believe he's doing it out of some kind of benevolence, you better check your med levels.

With his million dollar vacations and his kids wearing $20 thousand dresses, I think it's about time the public reined him in.

Ever notice how socialists really do want to spend other people's money?

"US as bad as ISIS" says UK's Corbyn

He's not just a leftist and hater of free enterprise and private ownership, he's a vegetarian and now a contender of the UK's Labor Party (although they tend to spell it "Labour").

I'm talking about Jeremy Corbyn, a Putin-loving asshat who compared U.S. troops to ISIS. He's even more of a dhimmie than David Cameron.

Corbyn is leading the campaign to take over Britain's Labor Party and people there are as attracted to him as flies on poop.

When the Labor Party lost the general election in May under Edward Miliband who later resigned, many figured that this left of center party would move back to the right, but they were wrong. Corbyn is now a top contender backed by the trade unions and a coalition of activists of various age groups.

This will likely have an impact on the relationship between the US and UK. I imagine Obama will cream in his jeans having another socialist buddy to commiserate with, but I don't see how it will improve relationships with normal Americans.
Corbyn compares us to those who
did this

Corbyn, like Donald Trump, has 53% approval while his nearest rival has 21%. Voting ends September 19th and results are expected on the 12th. If Corbyn wins, he will be the leader of the opposition party in Parliament and if Labor wins a majority in Parliament, the guy could become the Prime Minister.

"I think Americans should have the same concern as British audiences," says Dan Hodges, a former Labor Party adviser. "Jeremy Corbyn, if he does win, will become the most hard-left leader of a major political party in post-war British political history."

Hodges also warned, "Ideologically, he is someone who leans more toward Moscow than Washington."

In an interview on Russian television last year, Corbyn blamed the problems in Iraq on "Western meddling," and compared our troops to ISIS.

"Yes, [ISIS troops] are brutal, yes some of what they have done is quite appalling, likewise what Americans did in Fallujah and other places is appalling," Corbyn said.

Putin welcomes Corbyn's election. So too does ISIS, I suspect.

What does this mean?

First it probably means that Corbyn has never been to Fallujah or even set foot in an active war zone, otherwise he would have never given moral equivalency to ISIS.

ISIS hangs gays
Of course war is a dirty, horrible business, and yes, some people on both sides of a war do things that go beyond the bounds of being justified. But ISIS is expected to kill infidels, children, apostates, gays, and all those people Corbyn pretends to represent and who are too ignorant, at times, to be aware of the truth regarding ISIS.

Secondly it means that the US can no longer expect the UK to "have our six" when it comes to Russia, even when it comes to sanctions for their behavior in Ukraine. Clearly a Corbyn-run UK will not support us in our efforts in the Middle East and will likely not support Israel's right to exist.

Thirdly, what it means to the UK is the fact that Corbyn wants to raise taxes and domestic spending and reintroduce the calls for state ownership of all industry, much like Bernie Sanders might try but will fail, just as Obama did.

Jeremy Corbyn is so insane that back in 1984 he invited Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams to Parliament, merely 2 weeks after Adams' IRA killed 5 people and maiming dozens more at a hotel where then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was staying.

Corbyn is so insane that he wants to scrap the UK's nuclear deterrent program and withdraw from NATO. He also welcomed Hamas and Hezbollah to Parliament and referred to them as "my friends."

This man is a danger to the country he might lead. And he isn't even a Muslim.

And he isn't even Barack Obama.
