NY Gov. Hochul pleads with New Yorkers to return from Florida, admits taxes chased them off

New York Governor Kathy Hochul did her best impression of a broke ex who suddenly wants the old flame back this week, basically pleading with the wealthy “captives” she’s already scared off to please, pretty please, come home and bankroll her endless parade of socialist wish-list items.

In a fireside chat with Nick Reisman at the Politico New York Agenda summit, Hochul finally uttered the words conservatives have been screaming into the void for years: high taxes make rich people leave. It’s human nature, guys.

Shocking development, I know.

After treating the state’s high-net-worth crowd like a bottomless slot machine for far too long, the governor had her come-to-Jesus moment: “I need people who are high-net-worth to support the generous social programs that we want to have in our state … cut me the checks, if you want to be supportive, but maybe the first step should be to go down to Palm Beach and see who we can bring back home because our tax base has been eroded.”

Translation: The well has run dry, the golden geese have flown south to a place with zero state income tax and a governor who doesn’t treat them like escaped prisoners.

“Remote work changed everything,” Hochul whined, sounding exactly like a warden who just noticed the jailbreak in progress. “There were people who could only work in an office in Manhattan . . .  and they were captives to our state. They were going to stay. We saw that that’s not the case.”

She even copped to Wall Street eyeballing Texas, not because the Lone Star governor is more charming, but “they’re going there because of the tax rate.”

Despite this rare flash of self-awareness, Hochul’s big-brain fix isn’t slashing the bloated spending or dialing back the “generous” programs that created the exodus. Nope. She’s reduced to begging “patriotic millionaires” to “cut me the checks” and floating the idea of a recruitment safari in Florida. “Maybe the first step should be to go down to Palm Beach and see who we can bring back home because our tax base has been eroded,” she said, showing us again how much she knows about human nature.

Yeah, good luck selling that timeshare pitch. Why swap a beachfront cabana and year-round sunshine for a guilt-trip voicemail from Albany demanding tribute?

The governor also burned plenty of oxygen griping about the Trump administration, pinning everything from gas prices to her own flailing green-energy fantasies on the former president. She admitted her eco-mandates are “scaring the crap out of everybody” with utility bills going through the roof, yet she’s still peddling an “all-of-the-above approach” while begging for “breathing room.”

In the end, Hochul remains firmly in denial, clinging to her vision of a socialist paradise paid for by other people’s money. She’s just now discovering, way too late, what Margaret Thatcher tried to tell everyone: eventually, you run out of other people’s money.

Classic liberal arc: spend like there’s no tomorrow, chase away the payers, then act surprised when the math doesn’t math.

Hey, Kathy, human nature is a bummer.

Cory 'Spartacus' Booker gets his ties on Wall Street

When Cory Booker jumped into the 2020 presidential race with his dramatic bug-eyed announcement on Friday, he promised to build his campaign the “right way,” by forgoing money from corporate political action committees and federal lobbyists.

But Spartacus' previous ties to Wall Street, the millions of dollars he accepted in donations from Wall Street companies and his defense of Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital in 2012, may bite him on the buns.

“I’m not about to sit here and indict private equity,” he said as he sat there during a "Meet the Press" interview back when he was the failed mayor of Newark, N.J. At the time, Obama’s presidential campaign was attacking Romney, who ultimately lost, in an ad describing him as someone who, in a fake Robin Hood reversal “takes from the poor and the middle class and gives to the rich.”

Booker subsequently changed tack and waffled on his position, blasting GOP efforts to take advantage of his statements and reaffirming his support for Obama, saying the president’s campaign had a right to scrutinize Romney’s characterization of himself as a job creator, which, of course he was.

And in the Senate, he opposed a compromise bill passed last year rolling back some of the restrictions on Wall Street imposed under the Dodd-Frank reform law in 2010.

“In the wake of the greed- and excess-fueled financial crisis, big banks got a massive bailout while millions of Americans lost their homes,” he said in March. “We shouldn’t be weakening the very safeguards put in place to prevent such a catastrophe from repeating itself.”

But low and behold, the finance industry contributed $2.8 million to Booker’s Senate campaign in 2014, with many of the largest donations coming from employees of three of the country’s biggest banks, according to records compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.

Workers at Goldman Sachs gave his campaign $80,400, compared with $78,120 from employees of Morgan Stanley and $64,582 from employees of JPMorgan Chase.

Law firms with major securities-industry practices gave the warrior Spartacus even more: Attorneys at Paul Weiss chipped in $177,020 while their peers at Sullivan & Cromwell donated $137,950.

Booker’s haul, which has already drawn scrutiny from envious progressives, far outstripped the industry’s contributions to any of his Democratic peers campaigning to move from the Senate to the White House in 2020.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, whose state is home to the headquarters of banks from Goldman to Citigroup, garnered only $1.15 million from the industry in her 2018 race. This is due, in part, to her inability to remain loyal to any one issue. She is like a weather vane and will go anywhere the wind blows.

Sen. Kamala Harris of California drew only $727,674 from Wall Street in her 2016 campaign, while Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts received just $355,271 in her re-election campaign last fall.

Booker had been mayor of Newark, New Jersey from 2006 to 2013. He was handed a poor, crime ridden city, and his solution was to eventually reduce the size of the police force, because liberals think backwards. Democrats have been elected to mayor of Newark consistently since 1953.

After Booker was elected, millions of dollars of private and public partnerships investment poured into Newark for Downtown development, but persistent underemployment and poverty was still an ongoing problem.

In 2008, the murder rate climbed by 30 percent according to the New York Times . It had dropped by that amount the previous year and made a bloody comeback with Spartacus in charge.

As of 2010, about 33 percent of the population was impoverished. That year, about two-thirds of voters age 18 and up, were registered Democrats, voting for the smoke and mirror promises made by that party.

Data from 2010 by the U.S. Census Bureau as reported in NJ.com describes Newark as the third poorest of 35 poorest towns in the state. The median income in Newark is $33,025 and a 29.1 below poverty level, [with the latest level slightly higher]. Camden only follows Atlantic City [$26,656 and median poverty level 36.6] and Camden [$26,214 and median poverty level 38.4] as the poorest city in the state.

In 2012, CNN Money rated Newark as America's 6th most dangerous city.

And Cory Booker wants to be president when he can't even figure out how to improve a city.

I hope you'll follow Brain Flushings and have a few laughs while you get a conservative viewpoint. Politics is the new NFL without the mindless kneeling and this blog will both inform you and hopefully entertain you bigly.

BREAKING: Both parties want a "do-over" primary

BREAKING: In an unprecedented move, both political parties simultaneously are calling for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump to step down and allow both the DNC and RNC to conduct a "do-over" primary nomination.

Mrs. Clinton's has refused to do so, arguing that this is her last rodeo. This is her last chance to move the country into a borderless, global economy while cashing in on the deal.

"Nobody has more experience than I do," the former secretary of state, former First Lady and former New York State senator said. While citing her past experience, Mrs. Clinton refused to outline her long list of accomplishment, saying that it would take too long and she has to prepare to run the nation.

Mr. Trump has also refused to back down from entering the election telling the press that he is not a quitter and definitely not a loser.

"I'm gonna win, and I'm gonna win big," he said, "and you can take that to the bank. But if you do, make sure you're in front of Hillary on the line--with all the money she gets in her pay to play bribes, she's gonna be there a long, long time, believe me."

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) said, "I am sickened by what I heard. Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified."

Kim Kardashian agreed with Ryan. "We women should all be revered," she said, "and whatever Mr. Ryan meant by 'championed'."

Caitlyn Jenner neither agreed nor disagreed with Kim, simply saying she was "unsure."

Speaker Ryan has not withdrawn his endorsement of Trump, but he took away his invitation to join him at the annual GOP-unity rally in Wisconsin. Mike Pence, the VP running mate of Trump, will attend in his place, and while he condemned Trump's lewd comments, he indicated his intentions of staying on the GOP ticket.

"I was offended by the words and actions described by Donald Trump in the 11-year-old video," Pence said in a statement. "I do not condone his remarks and cannot defend them. We look forward to the opportunity he has to show what is in his heart when he goes before the nation tomorrow night."

That ought to put some pressure on the Donald, if he knows what's good for him.

Mitch McConnell (Turtle-KY) endorsed Trump but said, "These comments are repugnant and unacceptable in any circumstances."

But in spite of not accepting Trump's comments, he continues to accept him as the GOP nominee as he has not withdrawn his endorsement.

The 70-year-old Trump apologized last night saying the comments "don't reflect who I am, but you gotta admit, for a guy my age, I'm pretty good, libido-wise."

Hillary Clinton has fallen out of favor with the Bernie Sanders socialists especially after WikiLeaks disclosed speeches allegedly made by the former secretary of state in which she said that Wall Street insiders are best equipped to help reform the financial sector and that Sanders supporters are a "bucket of losers."

This may have been one of the few instances in which Clinton allegedly told the truth.

The emails also showed that Clinton was aware of the high probability that her and her staff's Blackberries were targets for hackers, something she pretended not to realize as she used her trusty "incompetence defense" when questioned by Congress.

The emails show how she favors government healthcare and supports the pipeline as well as a global economy without borders.

For a video by Fox News on the emails, click here.

As it now stands, both candidates are adamantly refusing to step down and allow someone with more ethics,  a greater sense of morality and more credibility to take their places in the election. So America is clearly stuck with two of the most disliked, distrusted, disrespected and disturbing nominees in American history.

Especially Hillary Clinton .  .  .  she's freaking evil.

WikiLeaks releases some of Clinton's emails on paid speeches

It's a miracle that Hillary Clinton's email server was able to be hacked--just kidding--it's a miracle that half the American public still thinks she should be president.

The emails show that her campaign was very concerned that her paid speeches to Wall Street firms made behind closed doors would go public and her real beliefs would be made public.

Oh, the inhumanity.

Excerpts of her speeches were emailed to her campaign chairman John Podesta and on Friday they were leaked to WikiLeaks. The emails show Clinton promoting herself as a proponent of free trade and open borders.

"My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders," she told a Brazilian bank in 2013. This doesn't bode well for those of us who want to close our borders and make the country more secure, particularly from Islamic terrorism that has grown like a tumor in Western Europe.

"We have to resist, protectionism, other kinds of barriers to market access and to trade."

'Lying Hillary' opposes the Trans-Pacific Partnership as a candidate, but backed it as secretary of state.

When Hillary's campaign research director Tony Carrk learned about the leak, he was so freaked out over the political impact it would have if the speeches went public that he sent John Podesta some possible headlines that might result:

"CLINTON ADMITS SHE IS OUT OF TOUCH," "CLINTON SAYS YOU NEED TO HAVE A PRIVATE AND PUBLIC POSITION ON POLICY," and "CLINTON REMARKS ARE PRO KEYSTONE AND PRO TRADE," he wrote in a January 2016 email.
Clinton was paid as much as $225,000 per speech and received over $3 million from financial firms.

Gee, I wonder how much "pay-to-play" it takes to get a sleepover in the White House. I know when Bill resided there, he rented out the place and even removed the silverware when he left.

Sanders joins "Wall Shhtreet Hillary"

Bernie Sanders is ready to give up all that he stands for, dump his morals into the East Rivah, and join Hillary Clinton on the crooked campaign trail Tuesday. In an apparent political move, the socialist with a Brooklyn accent as thick as matzoh ball soup substituting Vaseline for water (or watah), is ready to formally endorse the Maven of Wall Shhtreet and forget he ever mentioned her being in bed with awl the bankahs and people on Wall Shhtreet.

Bernie Sandonesta is a sell-out, and is just another politician, just like Hillary, just like Bill and just like Obama. Well, Obama may be more than just a politician but that's for another time.

Fortunately (a word whose root is 'fortune'), both Hillary and Bernie aren't fond of Israel, in spite of the shrill speeches she makes about the little nation, she's just not that into them. You can go here and read more about her relationship with her long-term anti-Zionist, anti-Semitic family friends.

Sanders never talks about his Jewish background. In fact, had he been elected president, he would have been the first Jewish POTUS, but while Hillary uses gender for her demographic hopes of winning, Sanders uses free handouts.

The Vermont leftist senator's campaign declared victory this past weekend in helping pen the "most progressive [read: socialist] platform in party history." The Platform Committee adopted a load of revisions on climate change, minimum wage and free stuff. This came as Hillary realized Sanders' free stuff ideas were hooking kids who know less about economics than goldfish, so she pandered to them, as she always does. She will say and do anything to get elected.

Sanders will join Clinton at a high school in Portsmouth N.H. evidently trying to get the kids to get their parents to vote for a felon.

Sanders hasn't yet said that he'll endorse the Dragon Lady but he told reporters that their two campaigns were coming "togethah," and added, "stay tuned."

Everyone got a big laugh out of that joke. Ha ha.

The one thing I can comfortably predict about Hillary is that if she's elected president, she will not stand by her campaign promises, will be incompetent as always, and find myriad ways to blame the 'obstructionist' GOP and the vast right wing conspiracy.

Hey Bernie--socialism this

With presumptive felon Hillary Clinton enjoying a fairly decent lead over presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in the race for the White House, the only good thing that has emerged from this situation is that Bernie Sanders has a snowball's chance in Islamabad in July of winning the Democratic nomination for president.

And it's hotter than hell in Islamabad in July.

But let's not talk about Islamabad, let's talk about how things are working out with socialism in Venezuela.

Who's the richest person in Venezuela?

Ding! Time is up--it's  Adele Chavez, the daughter of Hugo Chavez, the dead former leader of the socialist country.

This is the typical result of socialism--the elite not only rule, they line their pockets while the rest of the country starves.

And this is literally what is taking place in Venezuela; people are starving. They are attacking food delivery trucks and now the nation's food is transported under armed guard. Bernie would say that the food should be "dishhtributed to all the peepul," but the people who are getting first dibs are those elite I mentioned.

The military stand guard over bakeries and police fire rubber bullets at hungry mobs storming grocery stores. With even toilet paper getting very scarce, it's likely that soon rubber bullets will as well.

A 4-year-old girl was shot to death by a stray bullet as street gangs fought for food.

In one city, hundreds attacked a supermarket screaming for food and forced open a metal gate as they stormed inside the store taking flour, cornmeal, potatoes and anything else they could grab as they knocked over shelves.

Not one person in that mob wore a "Che" tee shirt.

In spite of the fact that Venezuela has one of the world's largest oil reserves, not of that wealth goes to where naive socialists like Bernie say it should go. Human nature dictates that it goes to the dictator.

There have been over 50 food riots, looting on a huge scale and protests that have often been met with police resistance and rubber bullets. Five people have been killed at last count, and more are likely to die.

This situation happened in 1989  in Caracus, on an even larger scale in which hundreds died at the hands of government security forces known as the "Caracazo" or "Caracus clash." The cause of the riots came from low oil prices, subsidy cuts and sudden poverty of the population.

So Bernie, we know you enjoyed campaigning throughout the country in a private jet. We know you believe that socialism is a good thing because its Robin Hood approach gives to the poor what belonged to the wealthy. We know that you have never actually created a job and outside of being a leftist politician, the only job you had was a pornographer.

So long, it's been good to know ya, Bernie.

Now all we have to deal with is Hillary Clinton who's in the back pocket of Wall Street but accuses Trump for that which she is clearly guilty.

Hillary, the ISIS queen

A socialist, a pathological liar, and the invisible man walk into a bar. Just kidding--they walked into the Democratic Debate last night.

The good news is, the Jets beat Dallas (sorry, my Texas friends). The bad news is, Hillary Clinton is still not indicted for her national security breach.

One of the most illuminating moments of the debate was when Bernie Sanders profusely apologized to Hillary regarding his staffer who got his hands on her voters list.
"Between us we're only 142 years old"

There should be no doubt in the mind of the American voter that Bernie is the kind of weakling we currently have in the White House, only difference is Bernie has a Brooklyn accent. I can hearing him telling Putin, "Oy want to apologize to yew, to Rusha and to the woild faw Amerika's behayvyah in the past. Yew won't get any trouble from me, I can assure yew. We ah very much alike, yew and me, Vladimir."

The other illuminating moment came when Hillary claimed that the United States is "where we need to be" in the fight against ISIS. In other words, she is Barack Obama with lipstick and a better three-point shot.

The Democratic nominee (unless she is charged with the crimes she committed, which is highly unlikely) talked about her anti-ISIS strategy after Bernie and Martin O'Malley (some guy they threw into the mix to add legitimacy to the "race") went after her for backing "regime changes" in Syria and Libya. Of course, these regime changes resulted in a myriad of problems which the liberals didn't foresee.

Her answer to the attack by her so-called competition may have come from her novel "Hard Choices" as she described the jihadist situation as a series of "complex problems." She touted that "We now finally are where we need to be. We have a strategy and a commitment to go after ISIS which is a danger to us as well as the region, and we finally have a U.N. Security Council resolution bringing the world together to go after a political transition in Syria."

The tallest Republican hopeful, Jeb Bush tweeted: "No @HillaryClinton--We are not 'where we need to be' in fight against ISIS."

Then Michelle Obama tweeted a photo of herself holding a sign saying: #BringBackOurGirls.

Bernie Sanders said he wanted to 'tawk' about climate change and the economy.

The Clinton campaign didn't back down as they argued that the U.N. resolution is a positive step, in spite of the fact that most Americans, whose vote is not based on a candidate's physical composition, disagree with that nonsense.

Clinton made the outrageous claim that ISIS is circulating videos of Trump's comments about Islam as a recruitment tool. "He is becoming ISIS' best recruiter," the Scandal Queen monotoned.

People who will vote for Hillary, even if she beheaded Monica Lewinsky on the debate stage, do not care if she can back up her claim with proof.

"If Hillary said it, it must be true, for the very mouthing of her words make it true."

And when Donald Trump called the San Bernadino shooting an act radical Islamic terrorism, Hillary argued that his remarks about Muslims are "fanning the flames" abroad for radical Islam.

In other words, if you see something, call it anything but what you saw because you might make someone angry. What nonsense.

And you have to laugh when you hear Sanders 'tawking' about 'Wall Shtreet' and how much they're going to hate him, as Hillary nods her head in agreement, as if they're going to hate her too.

She doesn't mention that her campaign donor's list includes a ton of Wall Street firms, Time Warner, 21st Century Fox, Lehman Brothers and much more. But if you examine who gives to her foundation in the Nonprofit Quarterly, you will see the vast sums of money given by foreign countries who ask nothing in return but favors if and when she becomes the next POTUS.

That's why some call her the Scandal Queen.

Woodstock on the Stock Exchange

Your Taxes at Work
What's the meaning behind the protest in the Occupy Wall Street protest? Some say it's Tea Party envy and I don't disagree, but I think it's even more than that. I believe it's a way a group of people try to capture some sort of meaning in their sorry lives. Their message is incoherent, for the most part, and it's a "You, my government, owe me a job."  "I hate you, you damn rich banks."  "I hate the rich on Wall Street who have all the money, and I have nothing but loans from them, and it's unfair."

I believe that, at a deeper level, these protestors are a bunch of unwashed hippy wannabees who are trying to recapture a primal Woodstock moment that their parents experienced. These libiots want to make history, and they even say that in their mindless chanting. They say that "this is what democracy looks like," but if they actually get what they're asking for, democracy will go down the tubes and George Soros will do the flushing of the toilet.

 Not An Irish Spring
Many of these people are socialists, and they have the right to be lazy and stupid socialists. But some of these protestors are undoubtedly communists, hate America, and love idiots like Michael Moore, a guy who made all his money as a capitalist denouncing capitalism. And the protestors don't even get it. Some of them don't get it so much, they don't even know that they actually are communists and socialists. They just want the wealthy to share their money with them. But even before that message went out, the mob assembled without a definition of what the heck they were protesting about in the first place. Usually protests work the opposite way around in America--people are upset about the way things are running, and the last straw is the protest--here is was the protest, then the discussion of why they were protesting. Sounds very insinsoros to me.

The media compares these people to the tea party but the major differences that I see between the two groups is the tea party people actually shower, have jobs, and know what it is they're upset about. When the tea party protests, nobody gets arrested, there is no violence, no traces of anti-Semitism, nor anti-America, just a real concern over the way the government is getting involved in things they aren't qualified to get involved with, and generally tend to screw up when they do.

Obama and some unions are supporting these protestors. It's just another way our president can divide us and hopefully win next year. The unions, with their Hoffaesque mentality support the unwashed because they will support anyone who goes against the managers of wealth, in spite of the fact that the union leaders possess so much of it themselves.

So next time you're in the Wall Street area and see a mob, as opposed to a group of protestors, hold your head high as you hold your nose, and keep walking on your way to work.
