Pres. Trump withdraws from TPP with pen and phone

President Trump has made good on a campaign promise and signed an executive order withdrawing the USA from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, better known as TPP.

What is TPP?

In a nutshell:
It was signed in February 2016 and is comprised of 12 countries that have a border on the Pacific Ocean. Its purpose is ostensibly to slash tariffs and foster trade. These 12 countries already control 40 percent of the world's trade and have a population of around 800 million. TPP was a plan that hoped to foster closer relationships between TPP countries on regulations and economic policies and was designed to create an EU-type single market.
All 12 nations needed to ratify TPP but with Trump as POTUS, the writing was on the wall. In order for it to have been successful, the US had to be in the deal. Obama was for TPP and Hillary Clinton was for it before she was against it. To take effect, it must be ratified by at least 6 countries that account for 85 percent of the group's economic output.
Opponents to TPP see it as a secretive deal favoring big business and other countries at the expense of American jobs and national sovereignty.

But since when was Obama interested in national sovereignty?

Even liberals were in large part against it because it would make it easier for companies to sue governments that change policies on such things as education and health providing in favor of state-provided services, sort of like the state as "Big Brother," which was apparently Obama's goal.

Both sides of the aisle saw TPP as intensifying competition between the labor forces of member countries.

Good start with hitting the ground running, Mr. President.

Hypocrisy Rodham Clinton

This isn't brand new--we've always known that Hillary Clinton pays women about $0.71 to the dollar the men at the Clinton Foundation make, but now hacked emails released by WikiLeaks describes a payroll schedule where men at the foundation averaged about $68,000 per year in salary and women averaged about $64,000.

The disclosing email was sent by an employee to Bruce Lindsey, the foundation's chairman, and to Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta.

The averages were based on 25 men and 37 women employed by the foundation.

Hillary has always been quite vocal for a woman's right to choose for herself if she wants to kill her unborn child. She has also advocated equal pay for all but the foundation checkbook evidently didn't get the memo.

Her hypocrisy is palpable.

She lies when she claims to be for women's rights--if she really was, she would be appalled at anyone who accepted money from nations that oppress, beat and kill women. But she accepts money from the Saudis and a bunch of other Islamic nations that do just that.

She lies when she denies all wrong doing with national security. She lies about a video being responsible for the attack in Benghazi, and then lied to the families of the dead.

She lies about her support of TPP and open borders.

She lies when she says "hello."

WikiLeaks releases some of Clinton's emails on paid speeches

It's a miracle that Hillary Clinton's email server was able to be hacked--just kidding--it's a miracle that half the American public still thinks she should be president.

The emails show that her campaign was very concerned that her paid speeches to Wall Street firms made behind closed doors would go public and her real beliefs would be made public.

Oh, the inhumanity.

Excerpts of her speeches were emailed to her campaign chairman John Podesta and on Friday they were leaked to WikiLeaks. The emails show Clinton promoting herself as a proponent of free trade and open borders.

"My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders," she told a Brazilian bank in 2013. This doesn't bode well for those of us who want to close our borders and make the country more secure, particularly from Islamic terrorism that has grown like a tumor in Western Europe.

"We have to resist, protectionism, other kinds of barriers to market access and to trade."

'Lying Hillary' opposes the Trans-Pacific Partnership as a candidate, but backed it as secretary of state.

When Hillary's campaign research director Tony Carrk learned about the leak, he was so freaked out over the political impact it would have if the speeches went public that he sent John Podesta some possible headlines that might result:

"CLINTON ADMITS SHE IS OUT OF TOUCH," "CLINTON SAYS YOU NEED TO HAVE A PRIVATE AND PUBLIC POSITION ON POLICY," and "CLINTON REMARKS ARE PRO KEYSTONE AND PRO TRADE," he wrote in a January 2016 email.
Clinton was paid as much as $225,000 per speech and received over $3 million from financial firms.

Gee, I wonder how much "pay-to-play" it takes to get a sleepover in the White House. I know when Bill resided there, he rented out the place and even removed the silverware when he left.
