Midland, TX gunman dead and ID'd leaves 1 dead, 10 wounded

The FBI is now investigating after one person was killed and 10 others were wounded in a Friday shooting spree in Midland, Texas, because apparently America’s lunatic factory is still operating around the clock and guns are getting more violent and someone needs to speak to them.

The deceased suspect, identified as a 45-year-old man with a Hispanic sounding name allegedly opened fire on officers and innocent bystanders before barricading himself inside an abandoned veterinary clinic in downtown Midland, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Steven Blanco.

Midland Mayor Lori Blong said during a news conference that police used robot and drone footage to confirm the shooter was dead inside the building. Authorities still do not know exactly how Villarreal died, which means the conspiracy theorists are probably already warming up their keyboards.

Of the 11 victims, Midland Memorial Hospital received nine gunshot victims, with four initially rushed into surgery.

The situation began in southeast Midland before spreading across south Midland in what sounds like the sort of chaos no community should ever have to deal with at eight o’clock in the morning. Police were first dispatched at 8:03 a.m. local time after reports of a disturbance involving weapons and shots fired, according to Midland Police Chief Greg Snow.

Naturally, it took a massive multi agency response to contain the situation. The FBI, HSI, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, Odessa Police Department, and sheriff’s offices from both Midland and Ector counties all joined the effort.

Using armored vehicles, Snow said officers were able to safely extract law enforcement personnel who had been pinned down behind their patrol cars. That little detail alone tells you how ugly this situation became.

Police then moved down Highway 80 to rescue civilians trapped in their vehicles, prevent the shooter from finding more targets, and lock down the area before things got even worse.

Snow confirmed that several officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect during the incident, which will now be investigated by the Texas Rangers and DPS.

Meanwhile, FBI El Paso deployed special agents and victim services personnel to assist at the scene.

Midland Memorial Hospital’s main campus was placed on lockdown for nearly two hours during the shooting, because when violent lunatics decide to turn a city into a war zone, everybody’s normal day instantly disappears.

Andrea Mendias told The Associated Press she heard what sounded like a small explosion at the abandoned veterinary clinic next to the body shop where she works and watched heavily armed officers flood the parking lot.

Some officers reportedly entered the building while others deployed robotic equipment into the area.

Mendias also said she heard what sounded like at least 40 gunshots before law enforcement finally cornered the suspect.

Video she recorded showed officers pouring out of an armored police vehicle while robots were sent toward the building, which sounds less like West Texas and more like footage from a failed state.

"Cecilia and I are deeply saddened by the senseless act of violence in Midland," Texas Gov. Greg Abbott wrote in a social media post. "We are praying for the victims, their families, and the entire community."

Blanco later confirmed that Villarreal was also the suspect accused of shooting at police earlier in the week.

"Yes, the identity of the suspect, [redacted because the scumbag doesn't deserve notoriety], age 45, is a suspect from the previous day's shooting," he said.

Midland sits near Odessa, roughly 330 miles west of Dallas and about 300 miles east of El Paso, proving once again that even places far removed from America’s elite urban circus are no longer insulated from violent chaos.

Harris wasn't Biden's first choice for border czar: she was his 2nd choice

"Hi, I'm Kamala Harris and I'm useless, hahahahaha"

Vice President Kamala "Speaks Through Three Holes" Harris, while campaigning to become the first female [whatever that is] not exactly Black President of the United States, is disavowing her role as border czar bestowed on her by our so called President Joseph Biden.

The media has gone berserk over this label because they know that she was an absolute useless border czar and the claims made by these meatballs are verifiably false as MRC shows in a melange of media reporting over time.

PolitiFact wrote, "Claims that President Joe Biden named Harris the ‘border czar’ and that she is responsible for overseeing U.S. border enforcement gained prominence at the Republican National Convention as the party sought to link her to his immigration policy. Biden didn’t put Harris in charge of overseeing border security.”

Really?

Axios wrote, “The Trump campaign and Republicans have tagged Harris repeatedly with the ‘border czar’ title – which she never actually had.”

“Kamala Harris Was Never Biden’s ‘Border Czar,’” TIME Magazine claimed. 

A USA Today "fact check" headline said, "Harris' border work was on 'root causes' of migration; she wasn't in charge." Axios wrote, “The Trump campaign and Republicans have tagged Harris repeatedly with the ‘border czar’ title – which she never actually had.”

Although Harris was not officially given the title "border czar"--because it's too Russian-sounding--many lefty Russophiles in the media used that label to describe Harris' assigned border role. Biden tasked her specifically with addressing the root causes of migration from Central America and working with the countries in the region, emphasizing diplomatic efforts to manage and reduce the flow of migrants heading to the U.S.-Mexico border. 

Her mandate was broader than just border enforcement; it was about tackling systemic issues in those countries to create lasting solutions, which she failed at miserably.

Harris was not Biden's first border czar; she was the second woman chosen as border czar by the alleged president.

After only 100 days as border czar, Roberta Jacobson, President Joe Biden’s first border czar, left the role on April 9, 2021, after already “grappling with large increases of migrants attempting to cross into the U.S.,” Even The Los Angeles Times reported, saying, “Biden’s border czar … is stepping down.”

Yes, even the comrades at the LA Times referred to the position as border czar.

However, before Jacobson stepped down, Biden announced at a March 24, 2021 news conference that Kamala Hahaharris would be responsible for addressing the southwest border surge that already began within days of him taking office. “I can think of nobody who's better qualified to do this than the former” California attorney general, Biden mumbled.

Harris was chosen to lead the effort as border czar because “the best thing to do is to put someone [in the role] when he or she speaks they don't have to wonder about where the president is,” Biden read carefully. “When she speaks, she speaks for me. She doesn’t have to check with me. She knows what she's doing. I hope we can move this along [to address the] increasing challenges at our southwest border. No one knows this better than the vice president.”

In that inimitable way she has, Harris said both through her mouth and nostrils,  “There's no question that this is a challenging situation. While we are clear that people should not come to the border now, we also understand that we will enforce the law. Because we can chew gum and walk at the same time, we must address the root causes that cause people to make the trek.” She also looked forward to working with Congress “to address root causes of migration. Needless to say, the work will not be easy, but it is important work.”

Just a normal Tuesday at the border: thanks Kamala

It was so challenging that she couldn't find her way to the porous border if the fairies dropped breadcrumbs along the way.

Multiple news outlets gleefully reported on the announcement, including The Washington Post, The Hill, the Associated Press, Axios, Politico, Reuters, The Huffington Post,  NBC News and even Fox News, to name the biggies.

The social media site X fact checked Axios' recent claim using one of its own articles, stating, “On April 14, 2021, Axios' Shawna Chen confirmed Kamala Harris had been appointed Biden's ‘Border Czar.’ 

If that isn't clear enough, Chen wrote: "Harris, appointed by Biden as border czar, said she would be looking at the ‘root causes’ that drive migration."

Since Harris was tapped as border czar, The Center Square has published 69 news stories covering the border crisis as it relates to the border czar. House Republicans this week filed two articles of impeachment against Harris, one over her role in addressing the border crisis. The other article against her might be her level of confused verbiage--she may not be demented like someone we know, but her word salads should come with a dressing.

But seriously, Harris has not event made an attempt to do her assigned job.

Biden’s March 24, 2021, announcement was made after members of Congress toured a federal detention facility in Carrizo Springs, Texas, where 700 unaccompanied minors were being held. U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, (D-Laredo), posted images of them sleeping on concrete floors in response to media outlets being denied access by the Biden administration. The left tried to blame this situation on Trump, but it's hard to argue with visual proof.

Earlier that month, Cuellar warned, “We are weeks, maybe even days, away from a crisis on the southern border. Inaction is simply not an option. Our country is currently unprepared to handle a surge in migrants.”

Harris was not only unprepared to handle a surge, it was apparent that she welcomed it, as did alleged President Joseph Biden. The border was a sieve of illegal aliens flooding into the country where now the left wants to give these non-citizens not only taxpayer benefits, but the right to vote in US elections!

Harris never visited the facility or Cuellar’s district. Since then, more than 12 million foreign nationals have illegally entered the country under Harris the Border Czar. She only visited a port of entry in El Paso on June 25, 2021, which is 800 miles away from the real crisis in the Rio Grande Valley.

On March 31, 2021, Abbott sent his first letter to Harris, stating, "Now that President Biden has named you Border Czar in charge of the administration’s response, I want to express to you the threats and challenges caused by this administration’s open border policies. These policies embolden and enrich cartels, smugglers, and human traffickers who continue to ramp up their criminal operations. Given your new role as the administration’s Border Czar, I urge you to visit the border to see the crisis for yourself, and … to take swift action to secure the border, crack down on human trafficking, and prevent more children from being trafficked and abused."

As calls grew for Harris to visit the border and respond to the crisis, by an April 20, 2022, press briefing White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked, “Does the president still have confidence” in Harris as border czar. She replied by confirming Harris' role as border czar, “He absolutely does.”

Abbott maintains, "‘Border Czar’ Harris has NOT done her job to secure the border. Innocent Americans have lost their lives, law enforcement has been assaulted, and fentanyl has killed thousands.” He’s also called on Americans to vote for Trump to secure the border.

I say vote for Trump to secure peace and prosperity for the country. Harris will not bring us peace--she will bring us far-left policies and show the world her weakness.

Illegal alien caught at border says he's a Hebollah terrorist and plans to make a bomb

Maybe it was just a bit of jihadi humor, or maybe it was a jihadi telling the truth. A Lebanese national was stopped at the US southern border over a week ago and told border officials that he was a member of Hezbollah and planned to make a bomb in the United States.

The would-be terrorist, 22-year-old Basel Bassel Ebbadi was arrested on March 9th near El Paso, Texas, in what was documented as a "Significant Arrest."

“El Paso Sector Intelligence Agents assigned to the Tactical Terrorism Response Team (TTRT) interviewed Basel Bassel EBBADI from Lebanon after he made terroristic threats to personnel at the EP Sector Hardened Facility,” the document said. “Post Miranda, Basel Bassel EBBADI claimed membership to a foreign terrorist organization.”

So the idiot was Maranda-ized and made that confession just two days after his arrest when being medically evaluated. He was asked what he was doing in the U.S. to which the moron replied: “I’m going to try to make a bomb.”

We don't catch the smart ones.

Ebbadi was reportedly training for 7 years with Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed terrorist group currently trying to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, while operating out of Lebanon. He said that he was responsible for guarding Hezbollah's weapons.

The schmuck then told officials that his training focused on “jihad” and killing people “that was not Muslim,” the report said. He was planning on making his way to New York, a good hunting ground for non-Muslims and a substantial number of Jews.

The NY Post report was viewed tens of millions of times on X on Sunday and generated notable responses from conservative leaders with hardly a keyboard peck by the left.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) posted: “Biden’s open border is an open invitation for Iran-backed terrorists to infiltrate our homeland. This will only get worse until Biden secures the border.”

And it probably is but we haven't seen the results of this stupidity yet. They're called "sleeper cells." I'm not saying they exist, but you'd have to be a fool to think they don't.

ICE confirms GA student murder suspect here illegally and previously arrested in NYC

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) doesn't enforce immigration and is has been made as useful by this administration as the US Department of Education. On Sunday ICE confirmed that the scumbag a Venezuelan nationals charged in connection with the murder of Laken Riley, 22, had entered the U.S. illegally in 2022 and had been arrested prior to this incident in New York City, aka the "La Grande Manzana." 

Miss Riley was a Georgia nursing student and did not know her alleged killer, Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26. Her body was found on the University of Georgia campus.

The illegal alien Ibarra, crossed into the U.S. near El Paso in September 2022 and was paroled into the U.S. due to Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas.

ICE confirmed the alleged murderer had encountered Customs and Border Protection [another oxymoron] on Sept. 8, 2022 after sneaking in from El Paso. He was then "paroled and released for further processing," because what could possibly go wrong? 

At least he didn't take flying lessons.

ICE also confirmed that Ibarra had been arrested by the NYPD  a year later, on Sept. 14, 2023, and "charged with acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 and a motor vehicle license violation."

And he was on parole! That means if he commits a crime while on parole, he must serve time in prison, but that didn't happen because the country has gone crazy with this demented administration.

When ICE learns that what it believes to be a removable illegal immigrant has been arrested on criminal charges, the agency will normally lodge a detainer – a request asking local law enforcement to keep the suspect in custody until they can be transferred to ICE and put into deportation proceedings.

In this case, however, ICE's statement says Ibarra was released before a detainer could be issued. NYC is also a "sanctuary city" which generally restricts law enforcement from complying with ICE detainers while complaining that they don't want any more migrants coming into the city.

In its statement, ICE said that its Enforcement and Removal Operations office in Atlanta "encountered Ibarra pursuant to his arrest by the University of Georgia Police Department and being charged with murder and other crimes. ERO Atlanta lodged a detainer."

Riley, an Augusta University nursing student, was found dead Thursday after previously attending UGA before entering a nursing program at Augusta's Athens campus, where she made the Dean's List.

Ibarra was charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call and concealing the death of another, authorities said on Friday. 

Too little and too late for Laken Riley and her grieving family.

Ibarra appeared in court on Saturday morning, where Clarke County Magistrate Judge Donarell Green denied his bond "for today." Two translators were present. Ibarra nodded when spoken to.

Ibarra’s brother, Diego, was charged Friday with possessing a fraudulent green card and is being held in state custody. The federal arrest affidavit for Diego Ibarra says that in September 2023, Athens-Clarke County Police charged him with drunken driving and driving without a license. He was later arrested for shoplifting and later skipped court.

Woman who shot Uber driver and claimed she thought she was being kidnapped charged with murder

A Kentucky woman accused of shooting an Uber driver in the back of the head on June 16 in El Paso, Texas, claiming that she thought he was kidnapping her to Mexico, has been charged with murder now that the driver has died.

Phoebe Copas, 48, of Tompkinsville, KY was taking an Uber driven by 52-year-old Daniel Piedra Garcia. According to the El Paso PD, a preliminary investigation found that Copas was going to El Paso's Mission Valley, but at some point along the way, she believed she was being taken into Mexico because she allegedly saw signs for "Juarez Mexico, which is across the border from El Paso.

So thinking she was being kidnapped, rather than asking to get out of the vehicle to see whether or not her assumption was correct, she instead retrieved a handgun from her purse and shot Mr. Piedra in the back of the head.

The vehicle then crashed into barriers along a freeway, nowhere near any port of entry into Mexico. 

In a news release, police said the investigation doesn't support a kidnapping was occurring and also showed that the Uber never went off track from the shooter's destination. In other words, it was clearly not an honest mistake.

Copas also shot a photo of Piedra after the shooting and texted it to her boyfriend, police said. She had just visited her boyfriend in El Paso at the time of the alleged execution.

Mr. Piedra was taken to an area hospital and kept on life support for several days but his family finally took him off life support after being told that he would not recover.

Copas was originally charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and held on $1 million bond.

Piedra died after being taken off life support, and Copas’ charges were upgraded to murder and bond was set at $1.5 million.

It never made sense to me why attempted murder doesn't carry the same penalties as murder. Just because someone is incompetent, doesn't mean that they should be lucky due to their incompetence.

In a statement to the El Paso Times, Piedra’s niece, Didi Lopez, described her uncle as a "hardworking" and "really funny" man.

"He was never in a bad mood," she told the publication. "He was always the one that, if he saw you in a bad mood, he’d come over and try to lift you up."

Piedra’s family set up a GoFundMe campaign because he was their sole provider and recently started working after being injured in a previous job.

El Paso shooter pleads guilty to killing 23 in 2019

The scumbag coward accused of gunning down unarmed Walmart shoppers, killing 23 and wounding 22 on August 3, 2019 pleaded guilty Wednesday. The fact that he surrendered to police with the smoking gun made his plea a no-brainer, and in spite of that, he faces the death penalty.

The attack by the then 21-year-old whose name will not be used, was racially motivated--he wanted to kill as many Mexicans as possible. He even wrote a semi-grammatical manifesto which some outlets published at the time and will likely be used to inspire future scumbags to follow in his footsteps.

The shooter admitted to 90 federal charges in connection to the shooting. He drove from Dallas suburbs to the border with an AK-47 and hundreds of rounds of ammunition with the goal of killing as many Latinos as possible. 

The charges included 23 counts of hate crimes resulting in death, 23 counts of use of a firearm to commit murder during and in relation to a crime of violence, 22 counts of hate crimes involving an attempt to kill and 22 counts of use of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.

The scumbag told investigators that he cased the Walmart to ensure that it was filled with 'Latin people'--many of whom had crossed into Texas from Mexico to shop--before he began firing in the parking lot and then entering the store.

“This attack is a response to the Hispanic invasion of Texas,” the POS posted online just minutes before the massacre. “I am simply defending my country from cultural and ethnic replacement brought on by an invasion.”

The thinking of white nationalists is delusional. And when I use the term 'white nationalists' I am in no way referring to Trump supporters, conservatives, or Republicans in general--that's the Democrats and woke legacy media's job.

The courtroom was packed with victims and family members of those killed in the shooting, the El Paso Times reported. The scumbag, wearing a blue jumpsuit and face covering, was handcuffed at his front which was attached to a metal chain around his waist during the plea.

Sadly, federal prosecutors said they will not ask for the death penalty of the mass murderer, but with that said, he will still face the possibility of life in prison where he will have the company of a significant number of people who fit the racial profile of those he targeted. Good luck.

Adria Gonzalez, who heard the shooter yell anti-Mexican epithets as she helped shoppers get to the Walmart exits on the day of the shooting, told the Associated Press the decision to take the death penalty off the table was “a slap in the face for us latinos.”

A sentencing will take place in the federal trial at a later date. The shooter still faces a potential death by lethal injection in the state of Texas’ case against him, which is entirely separate from the federal charges. No date has been set for that trial but let's hope he gets exactly what he deserves.

Former District Attorney Yvonne Rosales, a Democrat, had been handling the case before that, but she was forced out of office over accusations of incompetency and mishandling of multiple cases, including the Walmart shooting — the biggest case in the city’s history.

'The Mooch' goes full-bore anti-Trump

Former White House Communications Director [for 11 days] Anthony Scaramucci, has lost that lovin' feelin' for President Trump and went head-to-head against his former boss [for 11 days] over the weekend.

In an interview on Monday, "the Mooch" said after last week’s handling of the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings he believes the Republican Party may soon need to find a replacement candidate to lead the 2020 ticket. In other words, he wants Trump "primaried," which might guarantee a socialist will end up winning the election and running the country into the ditch.

This comes after Scaramucci recently engaged in a Twitter finger-fight with President Trump over his rhetoric towards immigrants. He claimed the president’s words incite violence against minorities.

“One thing I find reprehensible, and the president continues to do this, and I think what will end up happening is sound and reasonably minded men and women in the Republican Party will say ‘wait a minute, we can’t do this’…he is giving people a licensed to hate, to provide a source of anger to go after each other and he does it on his twitter account,” he stated.

Their hearts were younger then

On Saturday, the president tweeted that Scaramucci knows very little about him, and said he was incapable of handling his job during his 11 day stint as the White House communications director. Definitely not the same tune Trump sang when "the Mooch" left and continued to support him.

Anthony Scaramucci, who was quickly terminated (11 days) from a position that he was totally incapable of handling, now seems to do nothing but television as the all time expert on “President Trump.” Like many other so-called television experts, he knows very little about me.....

.....other than the fact that this Administration has probably done more than any other Administration in its first 2 1/2 years of existence. Anthony, who would do anything to come back in, should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it’s not for being the Mooch

It's sad to see couples break up like this--they were so close it seemed, [at least for 11 days] but we never know what goes on behind the scenes. However, if Trump is primaried in the 2020 election, it isn't going to bode well for the GOP.

Texas widens 2nd Amendment access in wake of El Paso shooting

The left wanted to boycott Chick-fil-A because their CEO is a Christian who was pro-life and considered homosexual behavior sinful, although they served everyone and hired gays because while they hated the sin, they loved the sinner.

That "boycott" ended up creating a slew of conservatives flocking to the fast-food chain to show their support and consume their delicious chicken. Lines went down the streets waiting in line to be served.

In the wake of the horrible El Paso Walmart shooting that left 22 dead and 40 wounded, the left went bug-bugger mental over gun confiscation and impotent laws they wanted imposed on the entire nation.

So what happened next?

Texas decided they will loosen their restrictions on guns with ten new Republican-backed laws set to take effect in September. The Lone Star State, which already has some of the most least restrictive gun laws in the country, will loosen restrictions on guns in places of worship, apartment complexes, foster homes, and schools.

USA Today reported on some of the soon-to-be in effect laws [my emphasis]:

House Bill 1143 prevents school districts from prohibiting employees and other visitors at school campuses to store firearms in locked vehicles.

House Bill 2363 allows foster parents to possess firearms "in a safe and secure matter ... for personal protection purposes."

Senate Bill 535 will reduce penalties for people who carry guns at "churches, synagogues or other places of worship" that prohibit firearms. …The bill treats places of worship in the same way private businesses are treated: They can still post signs prohibiting firearms, but will reduce penalties for people who unknowingly carry.

House Bill 3231 "curbs the ability of municipalities" to restrict gun sales at the city level.

Rep. Donna Campbell (R) argued, "Those with evil intentions will violate the law and carry out their heinous acts no matter what."

And while the left tries to somehow make this shooting President Trump's fault, while dismissing the background of the Dayton, Ohio shooter who was a leftist and an Elizabeth Warren supporter, Texas has done what those folks in the Chick-fil-A line did with the left, and that was to flip them the bird.

Potty mouth Beto capitalizes on El Paso massacre

The mass shooting in El Peso, Texas that killed 22 and wounded 40 people was Robert Francis O'Rourke's [aka Beto] golden opportunity to show self-righteous indignation and propel him up the chart, the only direction he could go, for his candidacy in the 2020 presidential election.

Almost overnight, O'Rourke has moved up from being an also-ran far-left presidential candidate languishing in the low single digits into a loser who finds himself at the center of a national tragedy.e

With 22 people (many of them, to his benefit, were Hispanic) shot dead by a white nationalist in his hometown and his Democratic rivals all weighing in on gun control and domestic terrorism, the former Texas congressman, and Senate loser to Ted Cruz, made sure to not let a tragedy go to waste.

After a vigil on Sunday, O’Rourke, who pulled out a nose hair and choked back tears before flying back to the border town, expressed exasperation at being asked if there is anything that President Trump could do to make the situation better.

“What do you think? You know the sh*t he’s been saying. He’s been calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals. Like, members of the press, what the f*ck?” O’Rourke said. The misquoted clip quickly went viral because anyone who would vote for him would believe anything he says.

On Monday, he said: “The only modern Western democracy that I can think of that said anything close to this is the Third Reich, Nazi Germany," minimizing the slaughter of millions of Jews at the hand of Hitler by making such a blatantly false comparison. When everything Trump says of does is "Hitleresque," everyone with one functional brain neuron knows it's bullcrap.

O'Rourke had the opportunity to actually bring the country together--that might have earned him well-deserved support--but he did what the left has been doing a lot more than the right [who are not totally innocent either] and that is divide the country, continue with the tribe mentality and basically continue the approach of Barack Obama.

Beto isn't a loser because people prefer the other candidate as much as they deplore his disingenuous shenanigans. He isn't even really Beto. He's really kind of a flailing-armed dufus in a blue shirt using swear words to sound edgy and real.

So which expression is Mika's "honest expression"? The one where she and her husband Joe Scarborough endorsed Donald Trump in 2016 with Joe admitting he'd be glad to be Trump's running mate, or the "honest expression" she expresses now?

Guess who's being blamed for the Walmart shooting

Just like the left would like to have the government take on all of the responsibilities of our lives, they want to make President Trump responsible for the behavior of a crazed mass shooter who killed 20 and wounded 26 in an El Paso Walmart on Saturday morning.

Predictably, the Democridiots jumped on the "Blame Trump for All Bad Behavior in America" bandwagon, even before all of the dead were removed from the scene. It's their go=to knee-jerk reaction because their actual ideas are untenable promises designed to get votes from a naive public.

And to blame anyone for the violence of another individual is not only stupid, it's immoral. Notice how quiet the left and the media was when a Bernie Sanders supporter shot up the Republican baseball game a few years ago, seriously injuring Steve Scalise.

Two immoral nonessential Democrats faced sharp criticism on social media Saturday after attempting to link the massacre to President Trump.

Sen. Amy ["the staff-abuser"] Klobuchar (D-MN), one of many socialists and Democrats hoping to block Trump's bid for a second term in the White House, made her remarks at a labor forum event in Las Vegas.

“The individuals who do the shootings are responsible," Klobuchar said, stating the obvious, "but I do think Trump's rhetoric has fueled more hate in this country.”Klobuchar, never letting a horrible tragedy go to waste, tweeted for gun reform legislation.

"Today innocent people—families—went to that mall in El Paso," she tweeted dramatically. "Some of them never came home. The U.S. House has passed common sense gun safety legislation. It is long past time to pass it in the Senate. The question to ask: Whose side are you on? The NRA’s or the people’s."

So not only is it President Trump's hatred that fueled the shooter, it's also the fault of the National Rifle Association because they teach gun safety and responsible gun ownership while advocating for the inalienable rights of the people under the U.S. Constitution.

Next we have Beto. An upward-bound loser who is also hoping to win the Democratic nomination for the 2020 presidential election and promises the country that he will eat dirt and say something in broken Spanish if he loses his bid.

O'Rourke, whose real name is Robert Francis, not Beto, also blamed the president for the shooting while speaking Spanish and English in El Paso, which he represented when he was in Congress and later lost to Sen. Ted Cruz in a senatorial bid.

"He is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country," O'Rourke told reporters, as he stoked anti-Trump hatred in this country. "We've had a rise in hate crimes every single one of the last three years. During an administration where you've had the president call Mexicans rapists and criminals."While some on social media praised the candidates' comments, others criticized them for politicizing the shooting.

Actually, the Texas violent crime rate increased in 2015, possibly due to the serious decrease in the state's police force. with a police-to-population ratio that is the lowest in the nation.

But O'Rourke is to facts as oil is to water.

So people took to Twitter to comment on Klobuchar and O'Rourke:

“Amy! Thank you for all that you do and we need more! This president needs to be held accountable for these deaths and this carnage. He is complicit, he is an accessory to this crime as he instigates hate amongst his followers,” one willfully blind supporter tweeted.

Another responded to Klobuchar:

“I see you blamed President Trump as usual for supposed hate crime in shootings in El Paso GMAFB you Democrats always trying to get a Political over this BS. You have had years to fix the gun violence but you and all of congress can’t work,” one wrote.

One user said that Klobuchar is the one spouting hateful rhetoric.

“Ms klobuchar enough, don’t blame President Trump your hateful rhetoric fuels hate so just because your running for President,” the Twitter user wrote. "Better yet get on your knees and ask God for forgiveness since the Dems have taken God out of everything the devil is dancing.

"@BetoORourke Could you stop the politics long enough to be respectful to all that have been affected by this horrendous act of violence. R.E.S.P.E.C.T." another user tweeted.

At last week's presidential debates, Klobuchar said that she supports an assault weapons ban, but didn't explain what an assault weapon is--apparently, any weapon that fires as a semi-automatic weapon is an assault weapon in her mind. In actuality, a military-style assault weapon is one the fires automatically and usually contains a selector switch to allow it to fire semi-automatically. If you don't know the difference between these two functions, you probably shouldn't be discussing gun control. Klobuchar doesn't seem to know.

In the United States, automatic weapons [aka machine guns--those that keep firing as long as the trigger remains depressed] are already banned. A semi-automatic weapon requires a trigger pull for each round fired, but if you're reading Brain Flushings, you probably already know that.

Klobuchar also said that she would have universal background checks for gun buyers. Not many conservatives are against that, but let's not kid ourselves, the Democrats want total gun confiscation. And if this happens, only law abiding citizens will give up their guns while the lawless will keep them; only the lawful will be disarmed.

Klobuchar also criticized the president, saying he hadn't done enough in response to a shooting in Parkland, Fla., that left 17 people dead in 2018, but she did not criticize President Obama for the 156 mass shooting incidents that occurred during his watch in which four or more people were killed, not including the shooter. In total, there were 1,187 victims shot, 848 were killed, and 339 were shot and injured.

In 54 percent of cases, the shootings were related to domestic or family violence. In nearly half the cases--42 percent--the shooter showed warning signs before the shooting that indicated they posed a danger to themselves or others. Over a third of the shootings--34 percent--involved a shooter prohibited from possessing a firearm. The vast majority--63 percent--took place entirely in private homes.

So what is the solution? Here are a few ideas:

1. Background checks on all firearm sales. This should be a no brainer to prevent the wrong people, from buying guns.
2. Strong domestic violence laws to keep guns out of the hands of abusers.
3. Red flag laws that allow family members and law enforcement to seek at least a temporary removal of guns from those people who have exhibited recent dangerous behavior.

Some folks think that restricting magazine capacity to limit the number or rounds shooters can fire without reloading is also a good idea, but it takes just a few seconds for a practiced shooter to pop in another magazine and start shooting again.

The president reacted to the El Paso shooting on Twitter, writing, “Today’s shooting in El Paso, Texas, was not only tragic, it was an act of cowardice. I know that I stand with everyone in this Country to condemn today’s hateful act. There are no reasons or excuses that will ever justify killing innocent people....”

As this is being written, I have just learned of another shooting in Dayton, Ohio in which 9 people were killed, I believe. You know the words to the song the Democrats are going to sing, as usual.

But yes, some things need to be done, but gun confiscation or attacking the NRA are not any of those things.

UPDATE: El Paso Walmart shooting 15 to 20 people shot, suspected gunman in custody

UPDATE: the ages of the victims are from ages 2 to 82. According to police, there is no current threat, but there are multiple fatalities.

4:42 p.m. ET: one person has died in hospital. The weapon used was an AK-47.

4:45 p.m. ET: according to the New York Post, at least 12 people are dead from the shooting.

7:30 p.m. ET: the latest information we know thus far is that police received the first calls just after 10:00 a.m. local time--not at around 11:00 a.m. as originally reported.

At least 20 people were killed and 26 injured. Police have put out an urgent call for blood donations.

There is one suspect in custody and a second person whose suspected role in the mass shooting is not immediately known.

El Paso, Texas -- About 17 to 20 people were shot at the Cielo Vista Mall outside a Walmart Saturday morning just prior to 11:00 a.m. The suspected shooter is in custody, according to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.

At this time, 17 folks have been taken to local hospitals for treatment, but their conditions are not yet known.

Lt. Gov. Patrick added that a 21-year-old man had been taken into custody. Police had previously said they had received numerous reports of "multiple shooters." This has not been corroborated, but some witness reports state that other suspects are being sought.

The lieutenant governor did not say how many of the injuries were fatal, but one witness told Fox News that his mother died at the scene.

The shooter wearing a black shirt, began targeting people who were leaving the Walmart.

Police responded to reports of an active shooting at the Cielo Vista Mall area shortly before 11 a.m. and asked people to stay clear of the active scene. An El Paso police spokesman told reporters shortly before 1 p.m. that there was no longer an "imminent threat" to the area. However, the area is still an active scene and people in the nearby neighborhood are being told to stay indoors and lock their doors and windows.

Local media reported that multiple SWAT teams, FBI and ATF were on the scene. At least three local businesses in the area were on lockdown. The mall complex is near Interstate 10 and on El Paso's east side.

Vanessa Saenz, a witness, told Fox News that she heard several "pops" near the area and saw a man in a black shirt and cargo pants with a weapon shooting outside the building before entering the Walmart.

"He was just pointing at people and just shooting," she added.

A witness told CBS News that he was about to enter the Walmart when he heard at least 10 gunshots and saw an elderly lady, fall to the ground. He said he was not sure if she was shot.

Democratic Rep. Veronica Escobar tweeted that she is “utterly heartbroken” by the news of the shooting in El Paso and said she is monitoring the situation.

“Please stay safe,” she added. Miraculously, she did not call for stricter gun control laws, but the day is young.

Democratic presidential candidate Robert O'Rourke who used to represent El Paso in the House of Representatives, said the shooting was “truly heartbreaking.” Miraculously, he did not blame President Trump for the shooting nor call for his impeachment . . . yet.

“Stay safe, El Paso. Please follow all directions of emergency personnel as we continue to get more updates,” O'Rourke tweeted.

If the suspected shooter turns out to be a progressive, an illegal alien, a Muslim or a socialist, don't expect to see follow up coverage of the story on MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC or CBS.

Guarantee: the left will demand greater gun control and make this Trump's fault.

Report: Dem rep secretly sends staff to Mexico to coach illegals how to beat the system

Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX) secretly sends staff to Mexico to locate and coach migrants who are trying to enter the US. These illegal aliens are being instructed on how to "exploit a loophole" to game the asylum process, as alleged by a number of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials.

The Washington Examiner reports that they have been told by the National Border Patrol Council's El Paso chapter as well as several CBP agents, that Escobar's staff tries to locate migrants that have been sent back to Mexico from El Paso, Texas "under the 'remain in Mexico' policy, then coaching them to pretend they cannot speak Spanish to exploit a loophole letting them return to the U.S." By 'claim' they mean 'lie.'

A senior union official shared evidence supporting their claims with the Examiner and said, “What we believe is happening is Veronica Escobar’s office is going … to basically second-guess and obstruct work already done by the Border Patrol.”

It seems plausible that instructing others to lie to government officials to gain illegal entry back into the United States is against the law. Perhaps Escobar should be prosecuted on those grounds, but I am not a lawyer, so I leave that to the experts.

Loopholes need to be fixed but people who use deception to get around the system with the loopholes need to be held lawfully accountable.
