March for our Lives is dying slowly

Perpetually angry at something gun related

There’s a certain absurdity baked into the gun control movement, a kind of tragicomic repetition that would make even Sisyphus wince. Everyone on that side of the debate seems compelled to start their own little outfit, each one parroting the same tired lines as the last, as if the sheer volume of organizations might somehow drown out the Second Amendment.

March for Our Lives at least had the decency to carve out a niche, focusing on America’s youth—a group typically more preoccupied with their phones than with policy. Born from the blood and anguish of Parkland, spearheaded by survivors who turned trauma into a megaphone, it burst onto the scene with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. Money flowed in, headlines followed, and for a moment, it looked like they might actually shift the tectonic plates of American gun culture.

But apparently not enough money flowed in to keep the lights on, as the group has just sacked most of its full-time staff—a pruning so severe it’s less a trim and more a clear-cut.

March For Our Lives is slashing its employees and anointing a new leader. Last week, the gun-control crusaders announced they’d be parting ways with 13 of their 16 full-time staffers—leaving a rump outfit that could barely man a picket line, let alone a movement. They’ve also tapped Jaclyn Corin, a 24-year-old Parkland survivor and co-founder, as their new executive director, thrusting her into the unenviable role of captaining a ship that’s sprung more leaks than a pair of Biden's 3-week-old skivvies.

“We are facing financial challenges as an organization, not unlike many nonprofit advocacy organizations in this time,” Corin told The 19th, with the sort of measured resignation you’d expect from someone watching their dreams sink into the quicksand of reality. “I am sure things would look differently with a different outcome of the election, but these are the systems and circumstances in which we have to make adjustments based on the financial situation we find ourselves in. It is incredibly unfortunate that these cuts have to happen.”

This isn’t just a stumble—it’s a face-plant for one of America’s loudest anti-gun voices. With the midterms looming, their ability to influence anything beyond a Twitter thread is now in serious doubt. It’s the culmination of a slow, pitiful decline from the dizzying heights of their early days—a fall from grace that’s been as predictable as it is painful to watch.

When I first saw the headline and dug into the piece, my mind went straight to DOGE—the Musk-Trump efficiency juggernaut—taking a flamethrower to the NGO gravy train. The money wasn’t meant to go directly to gun control groups, of course, but we all know the game: it gets funneled through pass-through entities, those clever little NGOs that scoop up USAID cash and sprinkle it onto anti-gun campaigns like confetti at a protest. With that spigot now largely shut off, I suspect we’re witnessing the first tremors of a broader reckoning for these outfits.

That said, I wouldn’t pin it all on DOGE’s budget axe. March For Our Lives was showing signs of distress before Trump swaggered back into the Oval Office and Musk started slashing government waste with the zeal of a man who’d rather be colonizing Mars. The rot, it seems, was already setting in.
The numbers tell a grim tale. Public records show fundraising at its two nonprofit arms has cratered. The non-political foundation went from $2.2 million in 2022 to $1.4 million in 2023, landing more than $300,000 in the red—a shortfall that’s less a hiccup and more a financial coronary. Its political advocacy wing fared worse, plunging from $7 million in 2022 to under $3.5 million the next year. Both bled deficits, and neither came close to the $18.6 million war chest they amassed in 2018’s heady days.

We don’t have 2024’s figures yet, but Corin’s comments suggest the bleeding hasn’t stopped—it’s just gotten messier. She admits they overreached, took on more than they could sustain, and watched the cash evaporate.

Michael Bloomberg could’ve plugged the gap with the loose change from his Mayfair townhouse, but he didn’t. I’d wager the laid-off staffers are mulling that over as they draft their CVs.

What we’re seeing here is a classic case of hubris meeting reality. They rode a tsunami of donations in 2018, assumed the well would never run dry, and built their operation on the shaky premise that the cheques would keep coming. They didn’t. Inflation bit, ordinary Americans tightened their belts, and even the deep-pocketed donors got stingier—perhaps tiring of a cause that’s starting to feel like a broken record.

Rather than adapt, they clung to optimism, hoping the tide would turn. It didn’t, and now they’re binning over 80 percent of their full-time staff—including, presumably, the very people tasked with shaking the money tree. A bold strategy, if your goal is to accelerate your own irrelevance.

March for Our Lives stormed in with righteous fury and a fat bankroll, but it’s limping out as a cautionary tale: even the loudest voices fade when the cash runs dry. They wanted to change America. Instead, they’ve just reminded us that idealism, unchecked by pragmatism, ends up as little more than ash.

BREAKING: Democratic staffer nabbed trying to smuggle ammo into Cannon House Office Building

Joe Cool Wannabe: Michael Hopkins

Very interesting. A congressional staffer who works for Rep. Joe Morelle (D-NY) was caught by the U.S. Capitol Police Monday morning as he was attempting to smuggle ammunition into the Cannon House Office Building.

Morelle (D) currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee and is the Ranking Member of the Committee on House Administration.

The USCP said in a statement:
At approximately 8:45 a.m., a House staffer entered the Cannon House Office Building and put his bag through screening. USCP officers noticed what appeared to be ammunition on the x-ray screen. After a hand search of the bag, officers found four ammunition magazines and eleven rounds of ammunition. The staffer told the officers that he forgot the ammunition was in the bag. 38-year-old Michael Hopkins (D) was arrested, and he is facing charges for unlawful possession of ammunition, including one charge for possession of a high-capacity magazine.”
It's likely he "forgot" he had ammunition in his bag and that high capacity magazines are against the law because the Democratic Party pushed this issue over and over until it passed as law. After all, don't most people put ammo at the bottom of their gym bag and pay no mind to the weight of four magazines and rounds bumping around?

At this time, it isn't known if Hopkins (D) is licensed to carry a firearm in D.C., what with their highly strict conditions. And if he's licensed to carry, is he allowed to possess ammunition outside his home or place of business?

Anyway, according to a D.C. criminal defense attorney:
When a person’s firearm is registered, they can keep ammunition for that firearm at their home or place of business. However, if they are found to be in possession of that ammunition outside of their home or place of business and they do not have the proper licensing to do that, they can be still charged with the crime. A separate license is required to carry the firearm and ammunition for that firearm outside of someone’s home or place of business.

Rep. Morelle's (D) office said in a statement on Monday:
This morning, our office was informed that a member of our staff was arrested by Capitol Police. We are currently gathering more information regarding the circumstances of the arrest. Our office is fully committed to cooperating with the investigation. As Ranking Member of the Committee on House Administration, Congressman Morelle is devoted to ensuring a safe and secure workplace for all.
According to his House bio, Morelle (D) is a member of the Gun Violence Task Force, and that is not a joke. He's also a member of the "Wine Caucus" and should be aware of the dangers of mixing alcohol and firearms.

On his Issues page, Morelle (D) bragged about his tough stance on firearms and insisted, "I’ve spent my entire career fighting for gun reform and it’s one of my top priorities in Congress. Together we have made progress, but there is still so much work to do to keep families safe."

If somehow Hopkins (D) or Morelle (D) get in any legal trouble over this, rest assured that President Biden (D) will pardon them.

Oh, by the way, did I mention that Hopkins is a Democrat?

New study from Duke University finds gun control laws have no impact on homicide rates

I'm sorry to have to tell you gun grabbing leftists [just kidding, I'm not sorry] but a new study by the Duke University School of Medicine [aka Club Med] performed a study that found gun control laws have zero impact on homicide rates. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

This longitudinal study considered both suicide and homicide rates involving children below the age of 18 between the years 2009 through 2020. Mortality data provided by the CDC was used and a database of state-level firearm laws maintained by the Rand Corporation. Thirty-six gun control laws were examined to show the impact.

The laws included background checks, mandatory waiting periods, "stand your ground" laws, safe storage provisions, and the left's favorite, Red Flag laws where Big Brother can be your neighbor.

In the 12-year period of the study, there were 6,735 suicides and 10,278 homicides reported that involved a firearm.

The authors stated that they examined “suicide deaths by all firearms, including intentional self-harm by handguns only, intentional self-harm by rifles, shotguns, or large firearms only, and intentional self-harm by other or unspecified firearms, as well as homicide deaths for the same firearm types in each state.”

They did not use accidental deaths by firearms because there are myriad ways to die by accidents that have nothing to do with firearms.

What they found was that there was a small difference made regarding mandatory storage laws of firearms as it impacts on suicides. Evidently, it gives the person a modicum of time to possibly change their mind and go on living. But perhaps better education and tax incentives for gun safes would have gotten the same good results.

The reason that homicide rates were not affected is because the large majority of guns used in crimes of any kind are obtained illegally or are bought by people with no criminal record who would not be prevented from purchasing a firearm, just like they would not be denied purchasing a razor blade to slit their wrist, or a car to "do a Thelma and Louise."

There has not been one case that I can recall where stricter gun laws would have prevented a shooting.

So more gun control, even buy-backs [aka: gun confiscation] would not put a dent in homicides and suicides.

If people are so concerned about people dying before their time, perhaps they should consider the abortion explosion in the country, which has dramatically increased after Roe v. Wade was ended.

BREAKING: Seven children wounded in mass shooting in Indianapolis mall

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- Police were on patrol soon after 11:00 p.m. Saturday near the Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indianapolis when they heard gunshots ring out,  Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department told Fox 59.

The police ran toward the gunfire near West Maryland Street and located a "large group of juveniles" and found that six of them had gunshot wounds, Police Deputy Chief Tanya Terry said at a Sunday morning news conference, according to CNN.

The mall is in the heart of the Hoosier capital’s downtown nightlife district, with multiple busy bars and restaurants nearby.

Seven children between the ages of 12 and 17 were wounded in a mass shooting. They were all taken to a local hospital, one child was in critical condition initially but has since been upgraded to stable condition.

By Easter Sunday morning, the four boys and three girls were all in stable condition.

At the time of this posting, it is not known what led up to the shooting and no suspects have been taken into custody.

It's obvious that the Democrats are going to make heartfelt calls for more gun control because they never let a tragedy go to waste. But let's not kid ourselves, it isn't the guns that are violent and more gun control, even confiscating guns from law abiding citizens, isn't going to solve the problem with street violence.

Fathers in the home is a good first step along with familial lessons in moral clarity.

UPDATE--Moscow death toll rises to 133 in jihad attack by ISIS: 11 suspects arrested

Friday's Islamic jihad attack at a concert near Moscow has risen to 133, as authorities say they have arrested 11 suspects, four of whom were directly involved in the bloodbath.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the jihad attack in a statement on its affiliated social media channels. The U.S. has said it has intelligence confirming that, according to several outlets. Russia's Investigative Committee said it has opened a criminal probe into the attack.

The attack began when Muslim gunmen donning combat gear burst into Crocus City Hall in the city of Krasnogorsk, where concert-goers were gathering to hear the Russian band Picnic. Video [which will not be shown here] showed jihadis opening fire, shooting attendees at close range and setting off smoke bombs. They also threw explosives inside the hall, setting the building ablaze. Although people were being evacuated, a number of them were trapped inside the burning building, Russian media reported.

"Intelligence agencies have detained 11 people, including four terrorists, who were directly involved in an attack on the Crocus City Hall, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said in a statement, according to Russian state news agency Tass. The FSB is similar to our FBI, only less corrupt at the top.

"It has already been established that the terrorist attack was carefully planned. The weapons that the terrorists used had been placed in a cache in advance," the FSB noted.

Meanwhile, back in the United States, gun control extremists blame the entire incident on evil guns and call for stricter gun control here in order to avoid a similar incident from happening. However, after researching the gun control situation in Russia, using my somewhat trusty Chat GPT4, I found the following:

Gun control laws in Russia are generally quite strict. In Moscow, there are specific requirements and regulations for acquiring firearms, including background checks, permits, and registration. Only licensed individuals are allowed to purchase and possess firearms, and there are restrictions on the types of firearms that can be owned. It is important to abide by these laws to ensure public safety and comply with the regulations in place.

I also found that Russia's gun control laws are federal so they apply to all of Russia.

Initially, the FSB pinned the blame on Ukraine, with Russia's Investigative Committee saying that four suspects were stopped in the Bryansk region of western Russia, "not far from the border with Ukraine."

They planned to cross the border into Ukraine and "had contacts" there, state news agency Tass said, citing Russia’s FSB.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied any Ukrainian involvement before ISIS gleefully claimed responsibility.

"Ukraine certainly has nothing to do with the shooting/explosions in the Crocus City Hall (Moscow Region, Russia). It makes no sense whatsoever," Zelenskyy said on social media, adding, in part, "there is not the slightest doubt that the events in the Moscow suburbs will contribute to a sharp increase in military propaganda, accelerated militarization, expanded mobilization, and, ultimately, the scaling up of the war. And also to justify manifest genocidal strikes against the civilian population of Ukraine."

Putin has wished all those injured a speedy recovery and praised medical staff, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said, adding, "President Putin's atheist prayers go out to all who are affected by this horrible event, dah."

Russian special services are still conducting search operations. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin canceled all mass events in the capital in the next two days, and a number of other Russian regions followed suit.

Prosecutors want death penalty for Buffalo supermarket mass shooter

The 20-year-old scum bucket white supremacist whose name will not appear here, is currently facing a life sentence without parole for a mass shooting in a Buffalo, NY supermarket that killed ten people in 2022. It was a hate-motivated domestic terrorism.

But now federal prosecutors are making the unusual move of seeking the death penalty for this dirtbag, in spite of New York State not having capital punishment on the table, but the feds do and will pursue the ultimate justice.

Court papers were filed in the Western District of New York Friday announcing the intention to end the life of this human pile of excrement.

The shooter planned the mass shooting May 14, 2022 at the Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo “in order to maximize the number of Black victims,” the feds wrote in Friday’s filing.

The young scumbag's lawyers issued a statement Friday saying they are “deeply disappointed,” explaining that their murderer client was merely 18 when he killed all those black people and that he would be in prison for the rest of his life anyway.

But isn't it only fair to end him after he ended 10 innocent people based on their skin color?

So the lawyers tried to make this about gun control, which is a disgusting political ploy to distract from the mass shooting of innocent black people. The statement said:
“Rather than a prolonged and traumatic capital prosecution, the efforts of the federal government would be better spent on combatting the forces that facilitated this terrible crime, including easy access to deadly weapons and the failure of social media companies to moderate the hateful rhetoric and images that circulate online.”
Gun control and censorship don't stop hate and they certainly don't stop mentally ill white supremacist scum and others who hate anyone who is different than them from violence. It never has and never will. The solution isn't easy but it has to do with changing the mindset of people and making the family central in life.

Even New Mexico's Democrat AG refuses to defend Gov. Lujan Grisham's unconstitutional gun ban

Self-identifies as a dictator

The New Mexico Attorney General Raul Torrez refuses to defend Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham's illegal gun order, which faces a number of lawsuits. He told the governor in a letter on Tuesday that he believed the so called emergency order violates state and federal constitutions as it bans law abiding folks from carrying firearms in public spaces across Bernalillo County.

Torrez wrote: “I am writing to inform you that my office will not defend your administration in the above referenced cases challenging” Lujan Grisham’s order.

“Though I recognize my statutory obligation as New Mexico’s chief legal officer to defend state officials when they are sued in their official capacity, my duty to uphold and defend the constitutional rights of every citizen takes precedence,” his letter continued. “Simply put, I do not believe that the Emergency Order will have any meaningful impact on public safety but, more importantly, I do not believe it passes constitutional muster.”

Because it doesn't. It's a power-grab and will fail in court, but in the meanwhile, it may be put in place before it is heard there. Predictably, many law enforcement officials have said that they will not enforce the order because they plan to live up to their oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Lujan Grisham is domestic.

Lujan Grisham signed an executive order on Friday that banned open and concealed carrying firearms in Albuquerque and the rest of the surrounding county. The governor enacted the order — to remain in place for 30 days — after a spate of shootings that killed several children by scumbags who obviously will not abide by the order, leaving the rest of the public defenseless.

She's not the brightest light in the tool shed.

“The tragic deaths of 5-year-old Galilea Samaniego in a recent drive-by shooting and 11-year-old Froylan Villegas in a road rage incident should serve as a wakeup call to everyone,” Torrez wrote. “I encourage you to engage in a more thoughtful and deliberative process with members of the New Mexico Legislature rather than taking unilateral action that infringes on the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens while having little if any discernible impact on the underlying dynamics driving gun violence in our community.”

— Firearms Policy Coalition (@gunpolicy)
Torrez, a Democrat, joins a handful of other officials in refusing to enforce or defend the order. Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, also a Democrat, said in a statement to social media that the city’s police force would not be responsible for enforcing the governor’s order. Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen announced on Monday that he would not enforce the order either, calling it unconstitutional.

Dictator Lujan Grisham responded to Allen in a statement to the NM Political Report, saying that her administration had “given you the tools, Sheriff Allen — now stop being squeamish about using them. I will not back down from doing what’s right and I will always put the safety of the people of New Mexico first.”

He isn't being squeamish; he's being patriotic.

Lujan Grisham said in an interview on CNN: “It’s not for police to tell me what’s constitutional or not. They haven’t supported one, not one gun violence effort in the State of New Mexico including domestic violence protections, universal background checks.”

The guns have not responded to her comments against them.

Hopefully, Lujan Grisham will be impeached and soon thrown out of office.

Notice how the left left out talking about shooter's AR-15 and gun banning? Here's why.

The nation is aware of the horrific mass shooting in Cleveland, Texas on Friday night in which five people were slaughtered, including an 8-year-old boy.

The alleged shooter, Francisco Oropesa, executed his neighbors for asking him to not fire his AR-15 so close to their neighboring home because they had company and the noise was quite loud. So Oropesa followed the man who complained to his door and then began killing the family, one-by-one.

Two of the women killed — Diana Velazquez Alvarado and Julisa Molina Rivera — were murdered as they lay atop three children, trying to protect them. They also hid a two-month-old baby under clothing to hide it from Oropesa. These incredible women, three in all, died protecting their young and now leave behind six children.

It is already Monday as this is being written, and thus far, Oropesa is still on the loose. The police have in their possession the weapon he used but have "zero leads" regarding his whereabouts. He remains a danger to the public and there is an $80,000 reward for anyone providing information that leads to his arrest.

So why hasn't the progressives gone into their reflex mode of talking about gun control and the evils of scary guns? It's like a knee-jerk reaction but now all we get from them is crickets and swamp gas.

Well, not only is Oropesa a Mexican national, it has been confirmed that he is also an illegal alien and, wait for it . . . has been deported no less than five (5) times between 2009 and 2016. But like that ugly rash on Hunter Biden's testicles, he keeps coming back, as confirmed by Fox News' Bill Melugin:
NEW: Per ICE source, Francisco Oropesa, the Mexican national who police say fatally shot 5 of his neighbors in TX, is in the U.S. illegally. I’m told he’s been previously deported, has “multiple” illegal re-entries on his record, and was last encountered by ICE in 2016. pic.twitter.com/JX40Pj0mc7

— Bill Melugin (@BillFOXLA) April 30, 2023

NEW: Per a second DHS source, Oropesa was deported five times between 2009-2016.

— Bill Melugin (@BillFOXLA) April 30, 2023
The left is not going to keep this story in front of the public because the bigger story isn't the gun, it's the person who used it. But that's always the story and the left refuses to agree to that fact.

The border is a sieve and that's exactly the way this crappy, incompetent administration wants it to be because they want power and know these illegal aliens will give it to them in the future, Insofar as law enforcement and penalties for criminal actions, the Biden administration doesn't seem to care, unless it's white on non-white crime.

And while the left cries about gun control and laws, it was already against the law for this scumbag to have a firearm of any kind, and he wasn't even supposed to be in the country. So who do they blame? Trump, of course. It's verbal calisthenics.

Department of Homeland Security waste Alejandro Mayorkas wouldn’t even answer the question of whether or not the killer was an illegal alien when asked by host Chuck Todd of “Meet the Press.”
Biden DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says he can't comment on if the Texas man who murdered five of his neighbors execution-style and fled the scene is in the country illegally pic.twitter.com/UsjWhPMRou

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) April 30, 2023
The cover up by these elites is a clown car speeding downhill with innocent people at the bottom. Todd even suggested that Oropesa having a "consulate card" makes his presence in the United States legal. He is either an idiot or a liar, but admittedly, two things can be true at the same time.

Judge puts restraining order on IL gun control law days after it goes into effect

Effingham County Judge Joshua Morrison temporarily blocked fat cat Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker from enforcing a newly enacted ban on certain semiautomatic rifles and high-capacity magazines. Using a temporary restraining order, the judge slapped the gun control law after former Republican candidate for attorney general Tom DeVore sued to block the law.

DeVore spoke at a press release and said he's representing citizens from 87 Illinois counties who are challenging the law. He called it, "an outright attack on the constitutional rights of lawful gun owners across the state."

Morrison's ruling only applies to 850 plaintiffs listed in the lawsuit in Effingham County and four licensed gun dealers, but hopefully more gun owners will get the message and jump on board the freedom train.

Pritzker said the decision didn't surprise him and accused the plaintiffs of advancing "ideology over public safety" in seeking to have the law struck down. But it isn't ideology that is being advanced, it's advancing the individual's right to own and bear arms, particularly in defense against a government that would take that right away, much like all dictatorships do when seizing control over its people.

"We are well aware that this is only the first step in defending this important legislation," Pritzker said. "I remain confident that the courts will uphold the constitutionality of Illinois' law, which aligns with the eight other states with similar laws and was written in collaboration with lawmakers, advocates, and legal experts."

Except it is not constitutional by any stretch.

In an 11-page ruling, Morrison affirmed that the plaintiffs have a constitutional right to bear arms that is protected by both the Illinois state Constitution and the Constitution of the United States.

"Plaintiffs are being immediately and irreparably harmed each day in which their fundamental right to bear arms is being denied," Morrison wrote.

Just ask anyone who has ever needed to defend themselves with a firearm that ended up saving their life. And everyone knows, including the fat man, that if guns are made illegal [which is their ultimate goal] then the only people with guns will be the lawbreakers and the police.

How ironic is it that the left wants to defund the police but only want the police to have guns?

Judge Morrison cited a landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision from 2022 that struck down New York state’s concealed carry law. That 6-3 ruling in New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen found that the "plain text" of the Second Amendment protected the right of the plaintiffs in that case to carry firearms for self-defense.

"Due to the speed with which this bill was passed, the effect to protected classes could not have been considered, nor could the Legislature have studied if this was the least restrictive way to meet their goal," Morrison also wrote.

Pritzker signed the law on Jan. 10 in the knee-jerk response to the mass shooting that killed seven and injured 30 at the Highland Park July Fourth parade. The rationale for the law is that if guns magazines were restricted to 10 rounds for long guns and 15 rounds for handguns, along with other restrictions, the shooter would have complied with the law because mass shooters are basically law abiding murderers.

The idiot governor defended the gun control law, called the Protect Illinois Communities Act, saying it "takes weapons of war and mass destruction off the street while allowing law-abiding gun owners to retain their collections."

Well, the name sounds good but it doesn't protect anyone who follows the law from those who break it.

The left is good at labeling things as to how they want you to believe what they mean. Take for example the Inflation Reduction Act--it increases inflation and prioritizes their own issues such as climate change. Another example is the Pro-Choice movement, in which only one person gets to choose whether or not to take the life of the other unborn person.

The Illinois State Rifle Association, a gun rights group that filed a separate federal challenge to the law control law, applauded Morrison's ruling.

"This is a clear indication from the court that the General Assembly and Governor Pritzker rammed this law through improperly. The ISRA firmly believes the law is an infringement on all law-abiding residents’ 2nd Amendment rights," the group said.

Biden makes 'sick' remark proving yet again his ignorance

"Bang!"

Our puppet POTUS Joe Biden mumbled stuff on Thanksgiving about gun restrictions during a scripted press conference in Nantucket, MA. He received intense backlash from critics.

Never allowing a tragedy go to waste, the alleged President reiterated his ongoing support for new gun restrictions in order to make America a gun-free zone for law abiding people. He made reference to the recent mass shooting in Colorado in which none of the victims were armed

"The idea we still allow semi-automatic weapons to be purchased is sick," Biden said. "Just sick. It has no socially redeeming value. Zero. None. Not a single solitary rationale for it except profit for the gun manufacturers." He obviously prefers the blunderbuss.

Biden likely has no idea what a semi-automatic weapon is, much less the difference between a bullet and a round--most progressives don't.

President Biden and who he thinks is his sister

A reporter asked Hunter Biden's father [aka the Big Guy] if he would be able to make any movement on new gun laws while Republicans control the House in the next Congress, to which he said he would make that assessment as he counts votes.

"I'm going to try," Biden said. "I’m going to try to get rid of assault weapons."

But the Left never defines what an 'assault weapon' is because their long-term goal is to totally disarm the public, and that's a fact Jack.

High profile Twitter users pointed out that semi-automatic weapons typically include handguns, rifles, and shotguns, which account for a large swathe of the gun sales in the U.S.

[Fun Fact: Joe Biden owns a shotgun which he once advised people to shoot in the air to scare off any intruders, proving he knows as much about guns as he knows about gravity. Other leftists think you should shoot a gun-wielding intruder in the leg to stop him or her, proving they know as much as Biden about center mass targeting.]

Twitter, thanks to Elon, now allows for counter opinions as the site lit up after Biden spoke.

"So essentially all guns are on the Big Guy’s chopping block," Hollywood actor James Woods tweeted.

"Wow. Are there any guns Biden would not ban?" Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, asked.

U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie, (R-KY) said that Biden was "maligning most gun owners" with his unconstitutional stance on firearm purchases and noted that Americans rejected gun control measures floated by House Speaker Nancy "Dentures-a-Dancing" Pelosi, (D-CA).

Fourth congressional district U.S. Representative-elect Mark Alford (R-MO) called Biden’s stance on gun laws "sheer ignorance," and cited an article noting that semi-automatic weapons make up 50% of all gun sales in America.

Earlier this year, Biden's call for an assault weapons ban went bust with Republicans, in spite of the fact that almost two dozen RINO senators bucked the gun lobby to advance a bipartisan gun bill.

The left controls the House until January while the Senate is split 50- 50. For an assault weapons bill to pass, at least 10 RINOs would be required to break the Senate's 60-vote filibuster threshold.

Meanwhile, Biden is still known as the President of the United States and is still becoming more and more confused as each day passes into the jasmine of what is left of his mind.

Anti-gun Democrat Nevada mayoral candidate's son arrested on gun crime: attempted murder

Pat Spearman, a Democrat Nevada state senator who is now running for North Las Vegas Mayor, spoke out against gun violence before her adopted 21-year-old son, shot her nephew on Thursday night around 6:43 p.m.

Naonche Tamar Osborne was arrested on attempted murder, battery with the use of a deadly weapon, and discharging a gun into an occupied structure or vehicle. All three charges are felonies.

The male victim, thought to be in his 40’s, was transported to UMC Medical Center, in stable condition. The shooting occurred at Spearman’s home, and she said that she was attending a Halloween event, at a nearby middle school when the incident took place. It is not known if Spearman's costume was that of a witch, a hypocrite or a drag queen.

An emotional Spearman held a press conference on Friday.

"As a mother, I support the justice system and my son. It’s with a heavy heart that my family is impacted by gun violence. I have more empathy than ever before for families that have to deal with such tragedies," she said, not mentioning the victim nor his condition.

Spearman plans on continuing in her race for North Las Vegas Mayor, in an election where early voting has since started. Spearman declared that the incident shouldn’t be politicized, in spite of her anti-gun stance.

"So let me be clear, this is not about politics. It is not about politics. It’s about a family that’s struggling," she said straight-faced.

How can it not be about politics when the shooting [with a gun] by the son of an anti-gun politician in her home took place? Sure you can feel sorry for her, but don't try to lie to us--gun violence and criminal justice are totally political issues.

The current alleged attempted murder comes on the heels of other similar crimes in the state.

Just two months ago, a sitting public official and Democrat, Robert Telles,  was charged with open murder for the slaying of Jeff German, a local investigative reporter.

Telles had also been appointed to serve on a state board by the incumbent Governor Sisolak (D). Later that month, a horrific 50-year cold case murder of a 19-year-old resulted in the arrest of Tudor Chirila, 77, a former Nevada Deputy Attorney General.

Spearman can say it’s not political until she's blue in the face, but along with the murderous stories coming out with political angles– she has a voting record on the issues, as well.

For example, she voted in favor of SB 452, which was a logistical nightmare for firearm carriers, forcing them to list, on their private property, that there are firearms on the premises. This attempt was so bad that even the far-left ACLU even opposed the bill, calling it a “stop and frisk” power.

Spearman also voted with the Democrat party line on SB286, targeting lower receiver manufacturing that the anti-gun lobby calls “ghost guns”; but the judiciary dissected parts of the law and remove them.

So the homemade attempted murder by her son of her nephew doesn't bode well for this gun-grabbing bag of wind.

Alec Baldwin blames guess who for "Rust" shooting

It has been about ten months since Alec Baldwin pointed a loaded gun at Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust," pulled the trigger [he swears he didn't] and the gun went off and killed Hutchins and wounded another person positioned behind her. Somehow, Baldwin considers himself the victim, proving he's as much of a narcissistic schmuck as he appears to be in public.

In a Comedy News Network interview on Saturday, Baldwin again tried to convince the person who watches CNN that he didn't pull the trigger of the gun that he didn't check before pointing it at Hutchins on Oct. 21, 2021. He merely pulled the hammer of the weapon back and it discharged.

He didn't check the gun. He is an idiot because he didn't check the gun.

The FBI did a forensic investigation of the gun and in a report obtained by USA Today concluded the gun could not have been fired “without a pull of the trigger.” And since he was the only person holding the gun, he was the only one who could have pulled the trigger and killed Hutchins.

Baldwin continued to insist he didn't pull the trigger of the loaded gun he aimed at Halyna Hutchins despite a ton of evidence that he was lying. He insisted that he wasn't responsible for Hutchins' death.

Hoping to get sympathy for the accidental killing of Hutchins, he said that since he is innocent, it's Trump supporters who questioned his innocence are magically guilty of shooting Halyna Hutchins.

“The former president of the United States said, ‘He probably shot her on purpose,'” Baldwin told CNN. “To me, that was really the only time I thought that I needed — that I was worried about what was going to happen.

“Because here was Trump, who instructed people to commit acts of violence, and he was pointing the finger at me and saying I was responsible for the death.”

Except that's a crock of bull.

In an interview on “The Chris Stigall Show” podcast on Nov. 4, 2021, Trump was asked about the shooting and said of Baldwin, “He’s a volatile guy.”

“As bad as it may have been kept, meaning, you know, the people that take care of the equipment and the guns and everything else — but even if it was loaded, and that’s a weird thing — maybe he loaded it,” Trump said.

“He’s a cuckoo-bird. He’s a nut-job. And usually, when there’s somebody like that, you know, in my opinion, he had something to do with it,” the former President correctly said.

“But if nothing else, how do you take a gun and just, whether it’s loaded or not loaded, how do you take a gun, point it at somebody that’s not even in the movie and just point it at this person and pull the trigger and now she’s dead?” former President Trump asked.

Second, Baldwin's suggestion that Trump “instructed people to commit acts of violence” had nothing to do about Baldwin but was likely referring to Jan. 6, 2021, which also was contrary to the facts. Trump never called for violence and in fact, told people to protest peacefully.

Baldwin was implying that Trump supporters would attempt to harm him or worse, after Trump said he was guilty. This is such a crap weasel assumption by the actor about half the nation and he said it with zero evidence.

Baldwin probably didn't mean to kill Hutchins but he pointed a real gun at her, assuming it was unloaded. He had to pull the trigger, whether he believes it or knows he did.

It's the not checking the gun, pointing it at a person, and pulling the trigger that makes Alec Baldwin come off as a narcissist and the jerk we all know he is.

Highland Park shooter's mother had unsavory past including child abuse. Father, no great shakes too.

The Highland Park Independence Day parade shooter's birthing person has a history of abuse allegations against her ex-boyfriend as well as other acts of miscreant behavior involving the law, as court documents show.

D.P., 48, [her name and the shooter's name will not be used here] also allegedly left the shooter in a hot car when he was a toddler and she had to complete 100 hours of community service for driving drunk in 2012. Perhaps a fried brain is at least partly responsible for the mentally ill behavior he underwent that left seven people dead and more than 30 injured as he sat in a woman's dress and fired randomly at people from a nearby rooftop.

"If you're growing up in that kind of traumatic environment, it can create an imbalance," said John Kelly, a criminal profiler and psychotherapist who has interviewed numerous killers. "There's no question about it."

He said early childhood is most important to a person's formative years, but brain development can continue into their mid-20s, [unless it got fried in a hot car].

In August 2002, when the shooter was a toddler, D.P. allegedly left him in a hot car for 27 minutes while shopping at Toys ‘R Us. She was arrested for this incident and was convicted for endangering the life or health of a child, a Class A misdemeanor. The shooter was 2-years-old at the time.
emeanor.

"If nobody cared about him as a child growing up, then he didn’t have that empathy," Kelly told Fox News Digital Friday. "Why does he have no remorse or no guilt or no empathy for other human beings? I’ve seen this in a lot of serial killers, because they were abused."

In 2012, D.P. was sentenced to a year of probation and 100 hours community service for driving under the influence after she got pulled over with a flat tire and a Blood Alcohol Level of 0.21%. The police report stated that she had a "strong odor of alcohol on breath and failing [field sobriety tests]."

She completed her community service in "a very commendable fashion with a good attitude," according to a letter from her supervisor, but raised a son who became a mass shooter and a piece of human excrement, fo which she is not proud, both as a mother and a birthing person.

Then there are the numerous 911 calls to the Illinois family’s home on McDaniels Avenue, in which the parents repeatedly blamed each other for verbal arguments. Many of the disputes ended with the shooter's father, leaving the home for the night, either voluntarily or by police request. Even he was arrested at least once and tried to run for the city's mayor but fortunately failed.

Another crazy case occurred before the shooter was born involving D.P.'s ex-boyfriend, Steven. in 1999. she sought an Order of Protection against Steven and accused him of sexually assaulting her then 4-year-old daughter [the shooter's half-sister]. The girl's sperm-donor [aka father] had previously died of carbon monoxide poisoning, as per court documents. Did she kill him? Who knows.

Both D.P. and daughter received counseling and D.P. had been hospitalized "due to the physical abuse of Steven Xxxxx." Pesina also alleged that Xxxxx harassed her and her daughter by making "unwanted phone calls and appearances at their place of residence."

It was how he showed he cared.

D.P. had other issues with men besides her husband while the shooter was growing up.

A man named David is named in several police reports at the family’s home, claiming to be D.P.'s "boyfriend," which she disputed.

She also accused a neighbor, William, of making unwanted advances to her, and the shooter's sperm donor called the cops one time to tell them the neighbor gave his wife a bottle of wine.

Cops were also at the family home in 2019 after threats were allegedly made by the shooter, but the wonderful parents refused to file complaints against him and no crimes were charged.

The shooter's parents both had the opportunity to have intervened and could have prevented him from legally buying the four firearms he eventually acquired. Had they stepped in, the shooter would have been arrested and "he would have to get a lawyer," Kelly said. "The prosecutor would have said, ‘Get him into counseling and get us some reports on him. We want to make sure he’s not a danger.' … He would’ve been evaluated for mental health, and at that point in time, I don’t know if he would have still been able to buy the rifle."

They didn't stop him and, in fact, were instrumental for him obtaining firearms.

But hey, why blame them or the shooter when it was the gun that did the killing? That's how the left sees it.

The guy who says "shoot in the air" to scare off criminals tells gun owners they are a "danger to yourself"

"And number 2 . . . "

Calling Joe Biden an idiot is me holding back on what I really think of him.

The idiot mumbled at an event in Beverly Hills, Friday evening. It was a fundraiser with Democratic elites and other California fat cats. Biden, who clearly knows as much about guns as a blowfish knows about algebra, raised the issue of gun control as a major priority for him and the person behind the curtain telling him what to say. Not inflation. Not the supply chain. Not the price at the pump. Not his bowl-circling approval numbers. Guns.

Biden doesn't know which end of the gun the bullet comes out of but he knows they're scary enough that if someone is trying to break into your house, just fire you rifle in the air and that should scare the intruder off.

Unless he sees that you were stupid enough to waste a round and illegally fire it in the air, as if it won't come down. Yes, Joe Biden is an idiot.

During his mumblings, he told a story about what it was like when he was campaigning in Delaware after supporting a ban on certain semi-automatic weapons. He also spoke about magazine capacity limits in the 1990's and probably would have gone along with a law banning mass shooters from reloading a fresh magazine into the rifle.

Biden said that when gun owners would approach him and criticize him for trying to take their guns away, he would ridicule them for owning high-capacity semiautomatic rifles and he doesn't even know what 'semiautomatic' means.

“They’d say, ‘God darn, Joe, what the hell are you doing taking my gun away?'” Biden lied. “And I said, ‘Let me ask you a question.’ I said, ‘How many — when you go deer hunting, how many deer are wearing Kevlar vests?'”

Okay, maybe he goes beyond being a simple idiot. Maybe he's also a schmuck. What does a Kevlar vest have to do with the made-up question the made-up gun owner asked? Is every thought that wanders into his head a non sequitur?

“‘By the way, if you need 30, 40, 60, up to 100 rounds to fire,’ I said, ‘you’re a danger to yourself, man,'” he continued, using a straw man argument implying that guns are only for hunting. After all, he was nea the bottom of his law class when he says he graduated, but maybe he should read the US Constitution.

During his remarks, Biden described himself as a gun owner, noting that he currently had a pair of shotguns and an entire staff of armed personnel ready to defend him instead of going hunting for deer.

“I’m a gun owner. I own two shotguns. My son Beau passed away. He had another shotgun,” he said. “We used to like to skeet shoot. We weren’t hunters.”

Biden likes to bring up his dead son for his victim points, but I too have a dead son who was shot seven times. And I wish my son had a gun to defend himself, but he was living in a strict gun-control city and the guy with the gun didn't give a damn about the law. This is the first time I've mentioned Brian on my blog but I am sick of the crap the Left tries to sell us.

Biden lied, as he usually does, that most gun owners were typically more dangerous to themselves just by having a gun.

“More people get killed with their own gun in their home trying to stop a burglar than, in fact, any other cause,” he said. “Think about that. Because it’s hard to do. It’s a hard thing to do.”

Having this demented house plant as president is an embarrassment. He lies whenever his mumbling begins--it seems like he isn't capable of being truthful. He lies about everything: from being accepted to the U.S. Naval Academy, to driving an 18-wheeler, to Cornpop, to how the Covid vaccine became available under his administration, and so on. It never stops.

Biden is a joke, but the joke is on all of us.

Uvalde PD stop cooperating with state amid words that make them feel unsafe

The Uvalde, Texas police department and local school district police have stopped cooperating with the Department of Safety investigation as they are feeling "unsafe" with the words being used to describe their behavior during the massacre that killed 19 children and two teachers at the Robb Elementary School. Their lack of cooperation is not surprising as we have witnessed their lack of action against the now-dead shooter, an 18-year-old mentally ill man.

"It was scary," a cop who wished to remain anonymous to avoid dangerous, scary criticism said. "I was hoping he would run out of ammo and then we'd charge him, but he was well prepared and we used strategic patience, like Barack Obama used. It didn't work out very well for all parties."

The Uvalde Police Department and Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District police force stopped cooperating Friday after they were criticized at a press conference, which made them feel unsafe and forced them to retreat to their "safe spaces."

Steven McCraw, the head of the Texas Department of Public Safety, said the police made the "wrong decision" when they stayed a safe distance from the danger in order to go home to their wives and kids or just dogs and cats, depending upon who you asked.

Peter Arredondo, the Uvalde school district police chief, has stayed out of sight and not responded to Texas Rangers for two days for a follow-up interview after having made initial statements following the shooting.

Arredondo made the decision to not immediately confront the shooter at the school during his rampage last week because it was too dangerous. The "bravest" waited in a school hallway for almost 50 minutes. Fifty freaking minutes! Children were being shot and these cowards did nothing to stop him for 50 minutes.

McCraw said that Arredondo believed the situation had changed from active shooter to barricaded shooter, in spite of 911 calls coming from children inside the classroom. In spite of the training the cops received only 8 weeks prior to the rampage that clearly directs law enforcement to waste no time and confront the threat immediately once the location is known.

Then the cops didn't have a key to open the door and they worried that they might get cut if they came in through a window or perhaps have to pay for the door if they broke it down.

The entire incident was a clusterfrack of misinformation, cowardice, bad decisions, and lies. Nineteen children and two teachers were killed by this mentally ill person and the signs were there that he had a problem.

Meanwhile the left used the opportunity to 'never let a crisis go to waste' and called for more gun control, as if that would have prevented this incident.

Locked doors with only one school entrance, armed and trained school staff, metal detectors, faster, braver police response, and improved reporting of mental health issues, especially after threats are made, would have likely prevented this from happening, at least to the horrible degree that it did.

After destroying his Oscars, Sean Penn is ready to destroy Russia's military and help Ukraine

Badass actor Sean Penn, 61, said he's thinking about helping Ukraine in their fight against the Russian invaders. This isn't a publicity stunt, just like his threat to smelt his two Oscars if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wasn't invited to speak at the Oscars was not a publicity stunt. Penn is serious and Penn is pissed, but he's still in the "thinking about" phase of his threat after Zelenskyy made his plea for help.

So far, Penn's Oscars remain safe.

Penn used to have a private gun collection consisting of 62 firearms. He has since given them up after a deep discussion with luminary and actress Charlize Theron. He then had a sculpture made from these weapons.

The sculpture rendered the weapons useless, therefore Penn will not be able to use them to fight for the cause of freedom against the Russian scourge. Ironically,  he is now against the ownership of firearms by the public, but fortunately, Ukrainians don't necessarily go along with his philosophy and have picked up rifles to defend their homeland, as the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides for Americans.

Sean Penn's weapons collection made impotent but artsy

In a dramatic speech Penn made to Hollywood Authentic [which, of course, is an oxymoron] he bravely declared:
“The only possible reason for me staying in Ukraine longer last time would’ve been for me to be holding a rifle, probably without body armor, because as a foreigner, you would want to give that body armor to one of the civilian fighters who doesn’t have it or to a fighter with more skills than I have, or to a younger man or woman who could fight for longer or whatever. So, where I am in life is short of doing that, but if you’ve been in Ukraine [fighting] has to cross your mind. And you kind of think what century is this? Because I was at the gas station in Brentwood the other day and I’m now thinking about taking up arms against Russia? What the fuck is going on?”
Penn has been using the war in Ukraine to make a few bucks with a documentary showing what's going on there. He met with top Ukrainian officials including President Zelenskyy and asked how he could assist.

Zelenskyy posted a video on social media of his meeting with the future Oscar-smelting Penn. The caption said, “The more people know about the war in Ukraine, the more chances there are to stop Russia.”

“So, seeing Zelenskyy the day before invasion, I would say, it serves to reason that he would not have felt fully tested. And then seeing him the next day, it struck me that I was now looking at a guy who knew that he had to rise to the ultimate level of human courage and leadership. I think he found out that he was born to do that,” the anti-gun activist actor said.

Penn said that his "intention is to go back into Ukraine," perhaps in camouflage, perhaps with body armor and night vision goggles, boots, the whole shebang. Who knows? He didn't say, but he's still against guns and that could spell trouble for him and for the plight of the Ukrainian people if he cannot save the day.

But what about those Oscars? We're still waiting.

Alec Baldwin blames his dead victim for him shooting her

It takes a special kind of scum weasel to be irresponsible with a firearm, shoot someone and then blame the victim for her death. This scum weasel is Alec Baldwin and words cannot express how much he is loathed by anyone who has ever had a smidgeon of firearms safety training under their belt.

Baldwin has filed legal papers that lay out some of the blame on the person he shot and killed with a handgun: Halyna Hutchins.

Ms. Hutchins was a Hollywood cinematographer whose career was beginning to climb before Alec Baldwin held a firearm, pointed it at her and the gun went off and killed her. They were filming a movie called "Rust."

In Baldwin's recent court filing, he claims that his contract with the movie productions shields him from any financial responsibility for the deadly shooting, which occurred on the New Mexico set. It also claims that it was Hutchins who told the chronically angry Baldwin where to aim the gun that ended her life. Evidently, she assumed it was not loaded and that Baldwin had checked it. Even if she didn't assume the latter, it is always, always, always the responsibility of the person with the gun to practice gun safety and that means the first thing one does is check to see if it is loaded.

Baldwin did not check the gun.

The filing says Hutchins “directed Baldwin to hold the gun higher, to a point where it was directed toward her. She was looking carefully at the monitor and then at Baldwin, and then back again, as she gave these instructions.”

And before Baldwin followed her directions for the shot, he did not check the gun.

The court document argues that it was clear Hutchins thought the gun was unloaded — or “cold,” using Hollywood terminology. Of course she did--anyone who directs someone to point a firearm at them for a movie would think the weapon was not loaded. But the responsibility always lies with the person holding the weapon.

“In giving and following these instructions, Hutchins and Baldwin shared a core, vital belief: that the gun was ‘cold’ and contained no live rounds,” the document says.

So Baldwin shared a core, vital BELIEF, that the gun was "cold."

Baldwin’s filing also says Hutchins instructed Baldwin to pull back the firearm’s hammer.

It goes on to assert that it was not Baldwin’s responsibility to check the firearm he was handed to see if it was loaded because the movie’s guns were under the authority of the set armorer.

But the document is full of crap. It was Baldwin's responsibility. He is also, ironically, against the ownership of firearms and the Second Amendment. That makes sense when you consider that he still claims that he didn't pull the trigger. If guns have minds of their own, then owning one could get you in trouble if it decides to kill someone.

Baldwin is a despicable individual and will likely get away with this mindless and senseless shooting, scot- free as New Mexico authorities haven't filed any charges against him.

NY unelected Gov. blames the gun for killing NYPD officer, not the human

Stupid is as stupid does

New York Governor [inherited position] Kathy Hochul (D-what else?) used the shooting of two police officers Friday to make a political stance. Rather than blaming the scumbag who ambushed the cops, the leftist fool went after the inanimate object and asked for Congress to help "fight the scourge of illegal guns on our streets."

Fighting the scourge of illegal guns has little to do with the law--they're ILLEGAL guns used by lawbreakers who don't care what Congress has to say about them. This is so obvious that it's tiring to keep saying it. The only way to get illegal guns off the streets is to get the criminals who use them off the streets. Perhaps the Left needs to think about what they've done with their 'no bail' policies and the turnstile justice system that isn't a justice system for law abiding citizen victims.

Using the same, predictable worn out rhetoric, Hochul said at a press conference in Buffalo: "Our hearts and prayers are with the families and the members of the NYPD, but also, it's a resounding call to action."

So far, the only call to action the Left has demanded was to defund the police. They always seem to get it backwards. She continued: "We have to do more to fight the scourge of illegal guns on our streets. And we need Washington teaming up with us, teaming up with locals, to get it done."

'Stop and frisk' was a way that law enforcement was able to get illegal guns off the street, but the Left put an end to that, and this led to more illegal guns on the street.

The Left always get things backwards.

NYPD Officers Jason Rivera, 22, and Wilbert Mora, 27, were ambushed at a Harlem apartment Friday night in response to a domestic dispute between a woman and her adult son. Officer Rivera died from his wounds and Mora is fighting for his life with a serious head wound, officials said.

The shooter, a 47-year-old black man was critically wounded. He was on probation for a 2003 felony narcotics conviction and has a long rap sheet.

A stolen Glock handgun from Baltimore in 2017 was recovered at the scene.

Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday called on federal authorities to do more to seize illegal guns.

"We're removing thousands of guns off the street, but there's an endless flow that continues to come through our city borders," Adams said. " I am encouraged by the president's acknowledgement that we need to collaborate with city, state, and federal entities the way we did during 9-11 to fight terrorism we have to fight the crimes on our street."

Hochul admitted that her state has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country but guns are coming in from other states where the Second Amendment is respected. [She didn't put it that way, of course.] She said that federal intervention is needed, but did not specify how that would get illegal guns off the street.restrictions and that federal action is needed.

"These guns, despite our tough laws here in the state of New York, and we're proud of them, they're coming in from other states," the unelected governor said. "They're flooding our streets, and I have pledged the resources of the New York State police to become embedded with NYPD and others to help them.

"In fact, we've tripled – just a week ago on our budget, tripled the funding for this gun interdiction effort because they're coming in from Virginia and Maryland and coming in from Pennsylvania to our very streets," she continued. "And we have to do whatever we can to protect our neighborhoods."

And more social workers isn't the answer. Stop and frisk, tougher jail sentences and a "broken windows" approach is a start.

It has taken these recent tragedies in New York City in recent weeks to get leaders to call on Democratic lawmakers in Albany to repeal its bail reform law whereby criminals get to walk out the door of the police station before the arresting officer finishes the paperwork of the crime.

It's madness, perpetrated by lawmakers who never have the personal experience of being violated as a result of the laws they create.

Michigan Dems push gun control after Oxford school shooting

Their solutions are as fake as their news outlets. The Demolition Party aka Democrats, are calling for more gun control legislation after the school shooting at Oxford High School on Tuesday, as they pretend that it would have prevented the 15-year-old shooter from committing the crime in which he killed four students and wounded seven others.

The handgun, a Sig Sauer, was purchased legally by the shooter's father who apparently did not prevent access to the weapon that his son took and used to do the murders. So gun control was not the issue, the fact that the gun was not locked away and warning signs the shooter gave out, were the problem. And it looks as if the parents are going to go on trial for their irresponsible behavior.

Democratic Michigan Senators Brenda Carter and Rosemary Bayer, who represent the district that Oxford High School is located in, released a statement from the legislature's Firearm Safety and Violence Prevention Caucus on Wednesday calling for "commonsense gun safety legislation."

Common sense gun safety legislation usually requires that all guns need to be made illegal and those in the possession of owners must be taken from them either by paying owners to turn them in, or by force at the end of a legal government gun.

"We are heartbroken by the tragic events that happened in our own backyard. No parent should have to fear for their child's safety at school, and no community should have to bury the children they helped to raise," read the hasty statement likely written before all the dead were buried because Democrats never let a tragedy go to waste.

"While we have met resistance on taking proactive measures to prevent gun violence in the past, we are asking folks to consider a change of heart and mind so the students who died at Oxford — and who have died in countless other tragedies across the country — have not died in vain," the caucus continued.

Useless tripe. What kind of legislation would have been able to prevent this horrible tragedy aside from preventing the father of this mentally ill kid from buying a gun?

"While now is a time of healing and community support as we all grieve, the time for action is imminent because this tragedy would never happen again in Michigan."

Even Frau Gov. Whitmer got into the act and released a statement calling for leftist lawmakers to act against gun violence, whatever that means. Is there anyone who acts for gun violence?

"Gun violence is a public health crisis that claims lives every day. We have the tools to reduce gun violence in Michigan. This is a time for us to come together and help our children feel safe at school," said Whitmer, who has no idea of what a public health crisis really is. While Covid is a public health crisis, she violated her own mandate about the virus and so did her husband.

Insofar as guns and safety are concerned, the left sounds like they've been consulting with Alec Baldwin
