Biden admin may have played around with Epstein files

So, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), a guy who’s never met a conspiracy theory he didn’t at least give a side-eye to, is out here dropping bombs about the Epstein files. 

Burchett’s got his tinfoil hat on, suggesting the Biden administration might’ve been rummaging through those files like a raccoon in a trash can, planting evidence to frame President Trump. Why? Well, apparently, the Wall Street Journal decided to stir the pot with a report claiming Trump sent Jeffrey Epstein a "bawdy" birthday letter back in 2003, complete with a hand-drawn nudie doodle. 

Trump’s response with a full-throated denial and a $10 billion defamation lawsuit slapped against the Journal, Rupert Murdoch, and the reporters who thought they could just scribble "Trump did it" and call it a day.

Now, Burchett’s not exactly whispering this in the group chat. He went on CNN and laid it out like a man who’s seen one too many X-Files reruns. "The reason I‘m worried about these files now is the fact that the Biden Administration, who, in my opinion, has a history of corruption, has tampered with these files, and we‘re never going to get to the bottom of it. I think stuff could have been placed in those files," he said, probably while adjusting his metaphorical detective hat. No proof, just a "gut feeling" and a vague nod to "historical reference," which is politician-speak for "I’ve got nothing, but trust me, it’s shady."

Burchett’s not alone in this circus. He’s one of ten Republicans backing Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-KY) discharge petition to pry those Epstein files open. You can almost hear the dramatic music swelling as he doubles down: "Do I have proof? No, I don't, but I have a gut feeling and a historical reference, which is every [inaudible] time something like this happens in this town, it gets covered up and it needs to stop." Then, in a move that’s pure political theater, he throws in, "I salute President Trump for pushing to move forward on those records that they have." 

Look, this whole thing smells like a reality show pitch gone wrong. You’ve got Trump suing the pants off the Wall Street Journal, and I hope he wins, Burchett playing Scooby-Doo with zero evidence, and the Epstein files sitting there like the world’s most cursed piñata. 

Will we ever get the truth? Probably not. D.C.’s got a black belt in cover-ups, and this story’s got more plot holes than a Michael Bay flick. But hey, it's entirely possible that Burchett's gut is accurate. We just don't know.

Zelenskyy unsure where the $100 billion plus went in US Aid

Zelenskyy made the claim in a recent interview with the Associated Press, where he casually admitted to having no idea the whereabouts of the majority of the funds allocated by the Biden administration.

“When I hear – both in the past and even now – from the U.S., that America has provided Ukraine with hundreds of billions, as the president of a nation at war, I can tell you – we’ve received more than $75 billion,” he said. “We’re talking about tangible things because this aid didn’t come as cash but rather as weapons, which amounted to about $70 billion.”

"But when it’s said that Ukraine received $200 billion to support the army during the war – that’s not true," he added. "I don’t know where all that money went."

So what's the big deal? Did he check the floor of his car? Maybe it fell under the seats.

"Perhaps it’s true on paper with hundreds of different programs – I won’t argue, and we’re immensely grateful for everything. But in reality, we received about $76 billion," he stated. "It’s significant aid, but it’s not $200 billion."

This means Zelenskyy is unsure of where just over 57 percent of the taxpayer money America sent to Ukraine is right now.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), some of the most vocal supporters of audits for the aid, may have a good point . . . unless, of course, Zee can come up with the dough.

seem like a rare duo who actually care what is happening with the funds and/or military equipment.

“We should immediately stop payments to Ukraine and begin a thorough audit of the $60 billion that Joe Biden and Congress have already sent there,” Massie wrote on X back in 2022.

From the days of bagman Hunter Biden, to the present day, Ukraine has been able to avoid accounting for the money we send them and it's only now that this administration is ready to turn off the money spigot.

In 2023, the Pentagon revealed an accounting "error" amounting to $6,200,000,000 that resulted in a surplus that would later be used in aid packages to the Eastern European nation.

Then-Deputy Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh announced the error at a presser, noting it took place in fiscal years 2022 and 2023 and was a result of overestimating the value of weapons being sent to Ukraine.

Even the Comedy News Network's Jake Tapper, was shocked when the error was originally reported at $3,000,000,000. He went so far as to call it a "hell of an accounting error” that "provides a lot of fodder to critics ... who say there’s not enough oversight going on.”

One thing is certain: that money went somewhere and did not disappear in a puff of smoke.

Thomas Massie introduces bill to ditch Dept. of Education

One of the biggest wastes of taxpayer money, (besides everything beyond infrastructure, law enforcement and defense) is the Department of Education. It takes away local control of what is being taught in the classroom and does not serve to actually educate our children. 

What this department actually does is indoctrinate the latest woke craze and turn the children into little lefty future Marxists. It's also the government's way of patting themselves on the shoulder while pretending to be doing something positive for the kids. And COVID-19 showed us their true colors as it was blatantly obvious that the Department of Education was not for the children, but for the teachers and staffing.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) believes the Department of Education needs to go, and he is exactly right.

On Wednesday Massie announced on X that he introduced H.R. 899, a bill that would obliterate the DoE, which is pronounced much like Homer Simpson's "D-oh," as well it should be. 

"I introduced a bill to end the Department of Education," Massie posted. "We must return the money and authority back to states, school districts, teachers, and parents before it’s too late."

On Massie's website, the congressman goes into further detail and quotes former President Ronald Reagan who also wanted to collapse the Department of Education:

"Unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. should not be in charge of our children’s intellectual and moral development. States and local communities are best positioned to shape curricula that meet the needs of their students. Schools should be accountable. Parents have the right to choose the most appropriate educational opportunity for their children, including home school, public school, or private school."

The DoE spends a crazy amount of money but of late has been reduced to spending $274 billion in 2023 from $638 billion the previous year. While that's a significant decrease, it's still more than the GDP of many small nations. Palau's 2021 GDP was about $324 million, not billion. Kiribati's GDP for the same year was $220 million. I'm not a math maven but I believe $324 million is even less than $1 billion.

It used to be said that cocaine was G-d's way of telling you that you're making too much money. Now it His way of saying we're financing a government department we don't even need. And the worst part is that the DoE breeds radicals who in turn bring in far left programs to the schools such as Critical Race Theory, "The 1619 Project," intersectionality, and LGBTQ curriculum. 

In September of last year, the DoE decided to investigate author and educator Christopher Rufo for "misgendering" a DEI director at New College of Florida.

"Misgendering" happens when you notice the person you're speaking to or about is a male or female based on their biological characteristics rather than their delusions.

Massie has it right: the DoE is a waste of time, money, and needs to go away for good.

Bowman pulls fire alarm, the left quickly defends him and he calls GOP critics "Nazi members': what a bunch of lunatics

He is either a liar or an idiot, but I don't really think he's the latter. Jamaal Bowman was caught on video Monday pulling a fire alarm, denying it, then admitting to it when it was seen on video, then saying he thought the handle on the device that said "FIRE" was a door handle. In either case, this guy does not deserve to be in Congress.

True to form, Republicans called his behavior an attempt to stop the vote to avoid a government shutdown, which makes it a criminal offense on two counts: one, there was no fire and the alarm calls for fire services to intervene' 2. it interferes with the work of Congress, you know, what the left says the January 6 folks did.

In response to those Republicans, Bowman referred to them as "Nazis" in an internal memo when they attempted to expel him from Congress. By doing so he greatly diluted the evilness of real Nazis and he is truly disgusting to have done that.

"I believe Congressman Bowman when he says this was an accident," Bowman's memo reads. "Republicans need to instead focus their energy on the Nazi members of their party before anything else."

He later tried to walk back the Nazi reference on X,  claiming that the guidance had been drafted by his staff and that he did not approve the use of the term.

So he didn't write it, didn't pull the alarm, and didn't beat his wife.

True to form, the dumbest Democrats made excuses for him after he came up with the lame excuse that he thought the handle that said "FIRE" was meant to open the door, even though he had just prior to pulling the alarm removed the "Emergency Exit Only" signs that were in front of the door.

Please 'splain Jamaal. You were a school principal where they had fire drills. You know what an alarm box looks like. 

But he lied.

"I am embarrassed to admit that I activated the fire alarm, mistakenly thinking it would open the door. I regret this and sincerely apologize for any confusion this caused," read a statement from the lame lawmaker who obviously thinks that the people are stupid.

And speaking of stupid, the simpleminded congressman is also a member of the simpleminded group of Representatives that call themselves "The Squad." One shining star of the group, Rep. Alexandria Obviously-Commie (D-NY) held serious spectacles in her hand in an attempt to look more intelligent than a cucumber, and spoke up in Bowman's defense to Jake Tapper host of "State of the Union," on the Compromised News Network (CNN).

AOC tried to explain how, "in a moment of panic," her fellow Democrat pulled a fire alarm in a congressional office building, but she quickly changed the focus on GOP Rep. George Santos, who faces a 13-count federal indictment and who has lost the ability to tell the truth about most things.

Did he also panic about the signs he removed, perhaps thinking they would get in his way in his rush to vote?

"I think there's something to be said that the government's about to shut down, there's a vote clock that's going down, the exits that are normally open in that building were suddenly closed..." the birdbrain pretends to explain.

But host Jake Tapper jumps in: "So he pulled the fire alarm?"

She immediately stopped her explaining and pivoted to Bowman "fully participating" with House administration and U.S. Capitol Police and what she laughingly labeled a "misunderstanding."

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, (R-NY) unveiled a resolution to expel Bowman as a result.

"This is the United States Congress. It's not a New York City public high school," Malliotakis said on "Fox & Friends" Monday.

"And of all people, Jamaal Bowman knows the old fire alarm trick because he was a high school principal. And quite frankly, when he was the high school principal, there were serious ramifications if a student were to do that... including expulsion," she added.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) said that Bowman's statement about the doors and trying to get to the vote made no sense. He also posted a clip of a prior unhinged episode Bowman had with him in the hallways of the Capitol over guns.

True to form, Rep. Eric "Stinky" Swalwell tried to defend Bowman by attacking Massie, which was Swalwell's mistake.

Let us not pretend that Bowman had no idea that pulling the fire alarm would cause a fire alarm to go off and the fire department to respond while the building is evacuated and the vote delayed.

Then Massie finished Swalwell off with his response when he brought up Fang Fang.

Fang Fang’s boyfriend insinuates that being in a picture with a gun makes you unstable.

Dept. of Energy wants to crack down on more of your stuff

The Department of Energy is planning yet another crackdown on the things that you have in your home or for your personal use. It has gone from incandescent lightbulbs to gas stoves to gasoline cars and now to hot water heaters. What's next, soap?

The fascistic DOE announced their plan on Friday to crack down on home hot water heaters because grabbing power instead of releasing it, is how these tyrants roll. It's all part of a string of proposed rules from whoever is running the Biden administration to take away your right to buy appliances for your home or the type of vehicle you want to drive, in their effort to limit your consumer power.

So they hope to tighten requirements for water heaters, stating that “most common-sized electric water heaters to achieve efficiency gains with heat pump technology and gas-fired instantaneous water heaters to achieve efficiency gains through condensing technology,” according to the DOE's press release. 

This administration, and whoever is calling the shots because it isn't Joe Biden, is forcing their will upon us while using climate change fears as their cause for doing this to us. They say it will save us $11 billion yearly on utility bills and $198 billion over a thirty year period. The DOE also says it would also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 500 million tons during the same period, and even millions and millions more if a-holes like John Kerry, Pete Buttigieg and many senators refrain from using private jets or forcing military planes to haul their fat butts all over the globe so that they can pretend to care about the environment.

“Today’s actions — together with our industry partners and stakeholders — improve outdated efficiency standards for common household appliances, which is essential to slashing utility bills for American families and cutting harmful carbon emissions,” Energy Secretary, Frau Jennifer Granholm said in a statement.

“This proposal reinforces the trajectory of consumer savings that forms the key pillar of Bidenomics and builds on the unprecedented actions already taken by this Administration to lower energy costs for working families across the nation,” she added.

While DOE said the proposed standards would “accelerate deployment” of electric heat pump water heaters, Fox News reported they would force cheaper gas heaters off the market. The news outlet noted that non-condensing gas-fired heaters are cheaper, having a smaller size and lower installation costs.

The three words Rep. Tom Massie (R-KY) told the Biden administration were: "Leave us alone." This is a sentiment that sums it up perfectly.

House rejects censuring Schiff including 20 GOPers who voted with them

The Republican-led House of Self-Interested Representatives on Wednesday voted against a formal censure of Rep. Adam "Shiftless" Schiff (D-CA) for lying about collusion between Russia and former President Trump (R-USA) and claiming to have inside information from top secret sources.

Twenty GOPers joined the majority of progressive Democrats in voting 225-196 in favor of tabling the resolution to censure and condemn the lying Schiff, while seven cowardly members voted “present” and five did not cast a vote as they were out looking for their spines.

Take note of the following Republicans [in alphabetical order] who voted with the left to table the motion:

Reps. Kelly Armstrong (ND), Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR), Juan Ciscomani (AZ), Tom Cole (OK), Warren Davidson (OH), Brian Fitzpatrick (PA), Kay Granger (TX), Garret Graves (LA), Thomas Kean Jr. (NJ), Kevin Kiley (CA), Young Kim (CA), Mike Lawler (NY), Thomas Massie (KY), Tom McClintock (CA), Mark Molinaro (NY), Jay Obernolte (CA), Mike Simpson (ID), Mike Turner (OH), David Valadao (CA) and little Steve Womack (AR).

The one Republican with the 'biggest set' was Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL). She was the person who brought forward the resolution, meant to be fast-tracked for consideration, and she referred it to the House Ethics Committee, an obvious oxymoron much like jumbo shrimp.

 The four-page resolution primarily accused Schiff of abusing his position and lying about the Russia matter, but also mentioned issues related to the Ukraine-focused impeachment inquiry against Trump. 

Unfortunately, the one issue that gummed up the bill and caused the GOP have the vapors was a clause calling for the pencil-neck geek to be fined millions of dollars if the panel found that he lied and abused sensitive information obtained from his former role in the House Intelligence Committee. He was kicked off the committee by the incoming Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

Rep. Luna proposed a $16 million fine as it represents roughly half the cost of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) said Schiff acted “unethically,” but the measure was not constitutional because it would violate the 8th and 27th Amendments regarding excessive fines and that it would require an election before a fine could be put into effect.

Rep. Luna tried to clarify that the financial penalty in the motion was a “suggested fine that can be paid with campaign funds, like any other fine levied by Ethics,” but that did not alleviate the concerns nor make it constitutional, unfortunately. 

“Allowing a majority of Congress to take $16 million (92 years of pay) from any member of Congress is shortsighted,” Massie tweeted after the vote. “Can we not imagine a time when this precedent would be used against conservatives? Fortunately it failed.”

Okay, okay, Massie is correct, but wouldn't it have been fun to have the resolution pass? Too bad Luna went overboard as Schiff lives to lie another day . . . at least for now.

So sure, we may want to vote those RINOs out who voted with the Democrats, but what they actually did was to act in a pro-constitutional, aka conservative, fashion.

Why did the Nashville school shooter target the Covenant School? What we know

Not everything gets reported in the news, especially when it bodes poorly for the Left's agenda. The recent, horrible Christian school mass shooting in Nashville is no exception. What's worse, the media madee the female killer, who identified as a transgender man, the victim in the story; not the three children and three adults who were slaughtered by her.

Nashville City Council Member Robert Swope spoke to the NY Post and provided them with some important information. Specifically, although police haven't yet released information regarding the domestic terrorist's motive, they could say that the three 9 year olds and the three adults were not targeted, but the school was the target of the killing.

Swope told the outlet that Hale had “looked at” two other schools, both public, before deciding “the security was too great to do what she wanted to do.” 

“So she chose a private Christian school, for, probably the reason is that the security is a whole lot less,” he went on.

In other words, it was gun-free, and probably had no bag inspection x-ray equipment to inspect backpacks and the like.

Swope was now convinced that the community needed to “harden [our] schools from ballistics, active AI systems that can recognize guns at a hundred yards outside under any circumstances.” He said he and other Nashville officials were looking into how they could do that.

Basically, Swope said the same thing the Nashville Police Chief John Drake had previously said and that the left-leaning media glossed over. In Chief Drake's case, he also included shopping malls and other soft target locations.

“We strongly believe there was going to be some other targets, including maybe family members, and one of the malls here in Nashville,” Drake said. “And that just did not happen.”

So why didn’t the shooter hit the other location that she was considering?

You might notice that Drake used the pronoun 'they' in his comment so as not to offend the sensitivities of the LGBTQ+1%~67! community. The shooter was a female, not a 'they.'

So the shooter planned carefully and saw that other locations had security measures in place so she decided to go to a gun-free [soft target] zone, a school she had attended knowing it would have no opposition. Fortunately, the school was in Nashville, not Uvalde, so the police showed what bravery was all about and killed her before she could kill anyone else.

But the targeting of the school was clear but the media wanted you to think it was due to it being a Christian school and therefore anti-LGBTQ+1%~67! which it is not. The media wanted us to feel sorry for the shooter, not the victims.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) had an unhinged fit in the Congressional hallway, and blamed the GOP for not doing something because his thinking is initiated by knee jerks.

When Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) stopped and brought up his bill to have trained teachers armed, so that there might be some measure of security, the idiot Bowman went berserk. Bowman said that more guns equal more death. So if an armed, trained teacher had a gun and shot the killer before she could kill innocent children and staff, that would lead to only one more death, not mass death. Bowman is clearly not a math genius.

If shooters know that teachers are armed, how many of these lunatics do you think would try a school shooting spree? Maybe they would go to a softer target, but taking it the next step, if concealed carry permits were universally easier to obtain, wouldn't these crazy killers think twice? And if they didn't think twice about firing on the public, wouldn't they be stopped sooner, rather than later when the police arrive?

Seconds count.

If they changed the term 'gun-free zones' to 'soft target zone' or 'unarmed target zone,' that might make mass shooters think twice about their chosen endeavor.

It's a sad irony that in schools where defunding the police was pushed by leftists, and officers were removed from these schools, [as in the Denver East High School] it became a target and did not end well on March 22nd as two people were wounded and the shooter killed himself.

By what logic does it make sense that outlawing guns--in a country that has more guns than people--would keep people willing to break the law shoot and kill the people who follow the law?

And before the bodies were cold, the left went into their "never let a tragedy go to waste" mode.

Biden makes 'sick' remark proving yet again his ignorance

"Bang!"

Our puppet POTUS Joe Biden mumbled stuff on Thanksgiving about gun restrictions during a scripted press conference in Nantucket, MA. He received intense backlash from critics.

Never allowing a tragedy go to waste, the alleged President reiterated his ongoing support for new gun restrictions in order to make America a gun-free zone for law abiding people. He made reference to the recent mass shooting in Colorado in which none of the victims were armed

"The idea we still allow semi-automatic weapons to be purchased is sick," Biden said. "Just sick. It has no socially redeeming value. Zero. None. Not a single solitary rationale for it except profit for the gun manufacturers." He obviously prefers the blunderbuss. 

Biden likely has no idea what a semi-automatic weapon is, much less the difference between a bullet and a round--most progressives don't.

President Biden and who he thinks is his sister

A reporter asked Hunter Biden's father [aka the Big Guy] if he would be able to make any movement on new gun laws while Republicans control the House in the next Congress, to which he said he would make that assessment as he counts votes.

"I'm going to try," Biden said. "I’m going to try to get rid of assault weapons."

But the Left never defines what an 'assault weapon' is because their long-term goal is to totally disarm the public, and that's a fact Jack.

High profile Twitter users pointed out that semi-automatic weapons typically include handguns, rifles, and shotguns, which account for a large swathe of the gun sales in the U.S. 

[Fun Fact: Joe Biden owns a shotgun which he once advised people to shoot in the air to scare off any intruders, proving he knows as much about guns as he knows about gravity. Other leftists think you should shoot a gun-wielding intruder in the leg to stop him or her, proving they know as much as Biden about center mass targeting.]

Twitter, thanks to Elon, now allows for counter opinions as the site lit up after Biden spoke.

"So essentially all guns are on the Big Guy’s chopping block," Hollywood actor James Woods tweeted.

"Wow. Are there any guns Biden would not ban?" Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, asked.

U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie, (R-KY) said that Biden was "maligning most gun owners" with his unconstitutional stance on firearm purchases and noted that Americans rejected gun control measures floated by House Speaker Nancy "Dentures-a-Dancing" Pelosi, (D-CA).

Fourth congressional district U.S. Representative-elect Mark Alford (R-MO) called Biden’s stance on gun laws "sheer ignorance," and cited an article noting that semi-automatic weapons make up 50% of all gun sales in America.

Earlier this year, Biden's call for an assault weapons ban went bust with Republicans, in spite of the fact that almost two dozen RINO senators bucked the gun lobby to advance a bipartisan gun bill.

The left controls the House until January while the Senate is split 50- 50. For an assault weapons bill to pass, at least 10 RINOs would be required to break the Senate's 60-vote filibuster threshold.

Thomas Massie on his COVID-19 bill maneuver: "I was just standing up for the Constitution"

The GOP's Nancy Pelosi

He's like the kid who wants to take his ball back and go home because the team only had eight players instead of nine. He's like House Leader Nancy "Hands a Flying" Pelosi who delayed the Coronavirus bill for three days before it could be passed.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is now the most hated man on Capitol Hill after he almost derailed the coronavirus relief bill because he wanted a formal vote last Friday, oblivious to the notion that desperate times call for desperate measures.

He spoke with Fox News in an attempt to provide an excuse for his grandstanding.

“I was just [grand]standing up for the Constitution, and I did it in a [pseudo]professional manner that did not delay the bill,” Massie claimed in a phone interview, because he couldn't be in the Fox studio in person due to the crisis.

The useless Congressman added, “This is the biggest transfer of wealth in human history.” And the rules come before the lives of those who make them.

The Constitution requires that a majority of members be present on the floor of Congress in order to do business, but his colleagues, who were bright enough to want to safely isolate themselves from the virus, believed it more important to do so than to follow that rule. After all, it's one way to avoid adding to the spread of the pandemic. 

They weren't amused with Massie and neither was the American public.

“Massie has now become the most hated person on Capitol Hill," said Rep. Peter King, (R-NY), who, at 4:30 a.m. drove to the Capitol to ensure the measure got passed Friday.

“Congress should show up to work if they're telling truckers and grocery store baggers to show up to work. A congressman making $174,000 with health benefits should sure as hell show up,” Massie said, forgetting that truckers, while doing yeoman's work, are not sitting among hundreds of colleagues holding a virus hoedown.

Before the vote on Friday, Massie was pressured by congressional leaders to drop his objection.

“I was proffered several things in exchange for withdrawing my objection to the passage of this bill... I was also threatened,” he said.

“I feel like an endorsement was proffered and a committee assignment was proffered,” Massie whined.

Trump also called Massie on the phone Friday morning and urged him not to object, for fear that would delay the bill. Massie said that he would keep the conversation he had with President Trump confidential out of respect for him.

But Trump obviously wasn’t happy with transpired on the call. “Throw Massie out of Republican Party!” he tweeted that morning.

“Workers & small businesses need money now in order to survive. Virus wasn’t their fault. It is ‘HELL’ dealing with the Dems, had to give up some stupid things in order to get the ‘big picture’ done. 90% GREAT!” he also tweeted and currently holds the record for the highest number of tweets than any other U.S. President.

Massie said he also received threats from the public that day, telling him he needed to be “taken out and shot” and “should go die” among other threats to him and his family, which is not the nice way to remove him from office.

Capitol Hill police and Massie’s local sheriff agreed on providing extra security for his house in Kentucky while Massie was in D.C.

Undeterred by the threats and offers, Massie spoke on the floor of the House later that day and explained: “I came here to make sure our republic doesn’t die by unanimous consent in an empty chamber, and I request a recorded vote.”

Massie's effort was emasculated, as congressional leaders had already figured out how to get around his objections — by filling the chamber with enough members to demonstrate a quorum.

So when his request for a recorded vote was denied, the idiot's objection “on the basis a quorum [majority] is not present” fell flat. 

The presiding member of Congress declared that enough members were present, and they passed the bill with a quick voice vote, in which individual votes were not recorded.

Massie said he left a voice message for Trump later in the day to try to patch things up and hopefully get his endorsement for continuing to have a political future. “The message I left was, 'Look, the bill wasn't delayed by what I insisted upon, and that's because I didn't surprise anybody. I told everybody at least 24 hours in advance what I was going to do.'”

Big deal. He told everyone what a grandstanding fool he intended to be on the House floor.

That time actually gave a majority of representatives enough time to get to the floor of Congress, even though they still refused to hold a recorded vote once there.

“They were trying to avoid accountability,” Massie said, adding that some representatives were trying to hide from putting their name to such an expensive bill. 

And he knows this as a fact, how?

“The tragedy of this bill is it’s a massive wealth transfer from the middle class to the moneyed class [rich investors and lobbyists]. Just going by the numbers — the most that somebody qualifies for is $1,200 under this bill... where's the rest of that money going?”

The balance of the money is going to aid the states, unemployment benefits, airlines, hospitals, business loans for the 'little guy', and to smaller irrelevant programs having nothing to do with the virus. At least the GOP objected to that but House Leader Pelosi pushed the pork and held the country over a pork barrel as the clock was ticking.

“We should be responding to the virus itself — and if there's any relief, that should be given to the taxpayers, not to the moneyed class,” he said.

“Responding to the virus means giving a guarantee that any American – whether they're a politician or a celebrity or a grocery bagger at Kroger – can get access to this [coronavirus] test,” he said seriously, not mentioning the fact that politicians have taxpayer funded private health care insurance and are not forced to be covered under Obamacare.

“If it costs $100 to test each of 350 million people — that's $35 billion, which is 1.5 percent of this bill,” Massie said, not considering the economic ramifications of how the virus is crippling the nation, and the fact that there is more to the pandemic than simply testing for the virus. 

How about the need for equipment and research for a cure?

“The only way we can allow people to go back to work is to figure out who should be at home and who should be at work. If you know from testing that you're not a carrier, or you know that you're immune to it, you should be able to move about freely,” Massie said, evidently not thinking about the damage that has already been done by the global work outage.

But his faulty reasoning about the bill hasn’t persuaded everyone.

Todd McMurtry, who is Massie's primary challenger, is trying to make hay of the situation. 

"I think what he did is unconscionable, and I think it's disqualifying. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody in the House gets sick and I wouldn't be surprised if one of those people had a bad health outcome and that's on Thomas Massie," McMurtry, said on Saturday.

“I've seen his votes over the years and I realized that he's totally ineffective and he's purely ... a libertarian ideologue," he said of Massie, also accusing him of not voting with Trump enough.

Massie said he supports the president but he's only telling a half truth.

“I've only had praise for the president in the three-and-a-half years that he'd been president. Of course, I've had some policy disagreements, but I’ve never let it become personal,” he said.

Massie said he helped Trump with his actions on Friday, by setting a precedent that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi can’t pass bills with an empty chamber.

“What I did this week by forcing Nancy Pelosi to make people to come to work in order to pass the bill, gets him more negotiating leverage going forward.”

And possibly expose them to the virus.
