Fauci's Pandemic Memoirs Read Like a Hollywood Audition With a Side of Public Health

While Americans were wiping down groceries, homeschooling kids, closing businesses, canceling funerals, and wondering whether standing six feet apart from grandma was enough to survive the apocalypse, Dr. Anthony Fauci apparently had another pressing concern.

His fan mail.

Newly released private diary entries, published ahead of Fauci's Senate testimony after being subpoenaed by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), paint the portrait of a man who seemed just as fascinated by his exploding celebrity status as by the virus consuming the world.

Instead of reading like the journal of a wartime physician carrying the weight of a global pandemic, the entries tend to resemble the diary of an aspiring influencer who suddenly found himself trending.

"Press still hot and heavy about me," Fauci wrote on April 7, 2020. "Multiple stories per day directly or indirectly involving me."

What a dork.

At the time, thousands of Americans had already died, hospitals were scrambling for supplies, and families were saying goodbye to loved ones over FaceTime. Fauci, meanwhile, appeared to be tracking media mentions like they were stock prices. [Dud I mention he's a dork?]

By May, the self appreciation had only intensified.

"Big front page article abut me appeared in the Washington Post. Very flattering. The situation with my national and international fame is explosive and really unimaginable. It is not hyperbole to say that today I am the most famous and talked about person in the country and one of the most recognizable person in the world," Fauci wrote as he looked in his full-body mirror.

Not content to stop there, he added, "Countless profiles on me in multiple media. I cannot even read all the things that are written about me since I am so busy … seriously. POTUS seems to be enamored of me even though I am taking the spotlight away from him. We are developing a very unique and interesting relationship."

Look at me--I'm Mister Cool

So, while the globe is suffering from a raging pandemic, our humble servant is depicting himself as one of the most recognizable people on Earth.

The diaries also suggest Fauci viewed television appearances less as an opportunity to inform the public than as oxygen.

After complaining that White House officials were limiting his media access, he proudly recorded a conversation with then Vice President Mike Pence.

"I told him that I am being blocked from TV and I needed to get on TV to give the 'risk reduction' message and that I would avoid being pitted against him or the POTUS merely by not playing that game," Fauci wrote. "He did promise that he would get me out there on TV since he really liked my message. First time anyone ever spoke that way to VP. He truly likes me a lot (and vice versa)."

Dork.

Apparently, flattening the curve was important. Keeping Fauci off cable news was the real emergency. The people needed him; the world needs him.

At another point, Fauci admitted privately that the administration's contact tracing strategy was a "f*cking disaster and an abject failure."

Then, almost seamlessly, he noted he had been invited to appear on "Dancing With The Stars."

It's obvious that when the nation's pandemic response is collapsing, your next thought is ballroom choreography.

The celebrity obsession did not end with television.

The diaries feature a cast list worthy of the Oscars. Julia Roberts hosted him on Instagram Live, sent him flowers, and presented him with an award. Vogue editor Anna Wintour, comedian Trevor Noah, NBA star Steph Curry, actors Sean Penn and Matt Damon, rapper Lil Wayne, billionaire Larry Ellison, and numerous media personalities all wandered through Fauci's journal.

CNN's Jake Tapper appears repeatedly through calls, dinners, and text messages. Dana Bash congratulated Fauci after his exchange with Rep. Jim Jordan, even telling him that Wolf Blitzer joked nobody would have blamed him if he had told Jordan to "go f--k yourself."

When journalist Peter Nicholas suggested Fauci had been "humiliated" over a canceled CNN appearance, Fauci's diary recorded his response in two concise words.

"F--- you, Peter."

Apparently, social distancing did not apply to grudges [nor to certain state governors].

The journals also reveal Fauci becoming increasingly irritated with White House officials who threatened to reduce his television appearances. Mark Meadows allegedly argued with him over messaging, while Fauci praised communications director Alyssa Farah for helping restore his media bookings. He described Michael Caputo as "a con man who is completely full of sh-t."

His relationship with President Trump, however, began warmly. Fauci recalled Trump calling him "the smartest person in the world," telling him, "We are counting on you," and appearing "enamored" with him before the relationship later deteriorated after more information came forward.

Perhaps the most unintentionally revealing entries involve Fauci marveling that Secret Service agents no longer bothered checking his credentials because they recognized him. That made him a bit moist.

"Everyone is worried about my health and welfare, probably because it is all over the place that I am almost 80 years old," he wrote.

Some people measure success by lives saved; Fauci measured it by the number of his tv appearances and whether security waves them through the front gate by recognizing him.

The diaries conclude with yet another celebrity cameo. At the 2022 Kennedy Center Honors, Fauci hugged Hunter Biden, who joked the internet "would explode" if someone photographed them together because they were both "being attacked by the far right GOP."

One almost expects the next page to include an acceptance speech thanking his agent, his stylist, and everyone who made his rise from bureaucrat to pandemic superstar possible.

Rand Paul argues the journals reveal a public official more concerned with his personal brand than the crisis facing the country. After months of negotiations broke down, Paul subpoenaed Fauci to testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

"He’s been slow-walking information to us for six months or more," Paul said. "We’ve been negotiating over the date for several months. He agreed, then he said he wouldn’t. So, I think it’s time that we bring him in."

The American people spent the pandemic wondering whether the science was settled.

The diary suggests at least one thing certainly was.

Anthony Fauci never missed an opportunity to check whether the spotlight was still shining on Anthony Fauci.

What a dork!

Celebrities who promised to leave if they didn't get their way

Celebrities are a fickle group of finkefutses. They always seem to be acting and trying to get us to believe them when they make wild declarations about how they'll move out of the US if Donald Trump gets elected President.

He did, they didn't.

Now the new claim is that the liberal celebrity folks will leave Twitter if Elon Musk successfully buys the company.

He did, they didn't.

So let's look at some of those celebs who promised to check out but didn't.

Lena Dunham: Prior to the 2016 election, this pro-Clinton advocate said, "I know a lot of people have threatened to do this, but I really will. I know a lovely place in Vancouver."

After Trump won, Dunham kept quiet following Tuesday's election night, but on Friday of that week she went on Instagram to address those who "demanded" she follow through with her promise to move to Canada.

"For those demanding I move to Canada based on something I said when this man seemed like a steak salesman with a long shot at the presidency: stay busy reveling in your new regime," she wrote. "I will go many places during my lifetime, surrounded by kindreds on a mission to spread justice and light."

In other words, she lied.

Amy Schumer, the niece of Sen. Chuck "Nostrils" Schumer (D-NY) also claimed that she would move out of the US if Trump won, saying that she would need to learn Spanish as she planned moving somewhere in Spain. You may not have noticed, but she's still here and even showed up at the Academy Awards punch-fest.

Cher had said she would leave the planet if necessary and even move to Jupiter. She was not referring to Jupiter, Florida but the actual planet. We all know that Cher is a hard left Democrat who lies, and not only did she not tap Elon Musk on the shoulder for a Space-X ride to Jupiter, but she didn't leave the US.

Sean Penn is another celebrity who made a promise. He claimed that if Volodymyr Zelenskyy was not invited to appear at the Academy Award show, he would smelt his Oscars. Zelenskyy was not invited but like most leftists with their hyperbole, his Oscars are safe and sound.

Next we have Whoopi Goldberg one of the braintrusts on The View, a progressive think tank where Democrats develop strategies to combat patriotism. Whoopi claimed that if Trump were to be elected, that "maybe it's time for me to move, you know."

While people wanted her to leave the country, she refused to go and The View remains in negative IQ numbers.

Snoop Dogg also admitted he was looking for a home in Canada it Trump won. He even posted a photo of the CN Tower in Toronto on Instagram and asked Canadian Drake for real estate advice. "My new home. @champagnepapi [Drake] I need the hookup on some property… I'm going to the. 6ix."

He didn't move to Canada, of course.

Miley Cyrus supported Bernie Sanders first, then moved to Hillary Clinton when Bernie was cancelled with the help of the media and DNC. She declared, "My heart is broken into a 100000 pieces…I am moving if [Donald Trump] is my president! I don't say things I don't mean!"

She lied. After Trump won, instead of abiding by her words, she then said she accepts Trump as president and called for him to have an open mind.

George Lopez used to be a comedian, like all former comedians on the far-left. Before the election, he said that Trump "won't have to worry about immigration we'll all go back." Hahahaha funny. He's still here.

It's the same case with Raven Simone who said she's moving to Canada if Trump wins, and Samuel L. Jackson saying he'd move his "black ass to South Africa." His black ass is still here, and she never left.

Barbra Streisand said she would move to Australia or Canada if Hillary didn't break the glass ceiling. She didn't because there is no glass ceiling and nobody likes her.

Chelsea Handler, a woman who had sex with her sister, said she would move to "another country" if Trump won. He did, she didn't.

Mia Farrow: posted a tweet that received a lot of blowback and has since been deleted, that said: “Well if Twitter becomes even more toxic – with Trumpy-treasonous lies & all the hatred – it will be taken less seriously, and people like me will quit – for peace of mind.”

She later responded by asking Musk to "keep Twitter worthy of your previous achievements and of lawful people everywhere."

There were others who also went after Musk and free speech.

Finally, idiot and fake black civil rights activist, Shaun King, deleted his Twitter account and said Musk's takeover is "about white power." He later returned to the app and had backed up his earlier posts by writing: “The man was raised in Apartheid by a white nationalist. He’s upset that Twitter won’t allow white nationalists to target/harass people. That’s his definition of free speech.”

There is no evidence that Elon Musk has a racist bone in his body, as Shaun King tends to claim about most wealthy conservative white men. This makes King the racist, not Musk.

After destroying his Oscars, Sean Penn is ready to destroy Russia's military and help Ukraine

Badass actor Sean Penn, 61, said he's thinking about helping Ukraine in their fight against the Russian invaders. This isn't a publicity stunt, just like his threat to smelt his two Oscars if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wasn't invited to speak at the Oscars was not a publicity stunt. Penn is serious and Penn is pissed, but he's still in the "thinking about" phase of his threat after Zelenskyy made his plea for help.

So far, Penn's Oscars remain safe.

Penn used to have a private gun collection consisting of 62 firearms. He has since given them up after a deep discussion with luminary and actress Charlize Theron. He then had a sculpture made from these weapons.

The sculpture rendered the weapons useless, therefore Penn will not be able to use them to fight for the cause of freedom against the Russian scourge. Ironically,  he is now against the ownership of firearms by the public, but fortunately, Ukrainians don't necessarily go along with his philosophy and have picked up rifles to defend their homeland, as the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides for Americans.

Sean Penn's weapons collection made impotent but artsy

In a dramatic speech Penn made to Hollywood Authentic [which, of course, is an oxymoron] he bravely declared:
“The only possible reason for me staying in Ukraine longer last time would’ve been for me to be holding a rifle, probably without body armor, because as a foreigner, you would want to give that body armor to one of the civilian fighters who doesn’t have it or to a fighter with more skills than I have, or to a younger man or woman who could fight for longer or whatever. So, where I am in life is short of doing that, but if you’ve been in Ukraine [fighting] has to cross your mind. And you kind of think what century is this? Because I was at the gas station in Brentwood the other day and I’m now thinking about taking up arms against Russia? What the fuck is going on?”
Penn has been using the war in Ukraine to make a few bucks with a documentary showing what's going on there. He met with top Ukrainian officials including President Zelenskyy and asked how he could assist.

Zelenskyy posted a video on social media of his meeting with the future Oscar-smelting Penn. The caption said, “The more people know about the war in Ukraine, the more chances there are to stop Russia.”

“So, seeing Zelenskyy the day before invasion, I would say, it serves to reason that he would not have felt fully tested. And then seeing him the next day, it struck me that I was now looking at a guy who knew that he had to rise to the ultimate level of human courage and leadership. I think he found out that he was born to do that,” the anti-gun activist actor said.

Penn said that his "intention is to go back into Ukraine," perhaps in camouflage, perhaps with body armor and night vision goggles, boots, the whole shebang. Who knows? He didn't say, but he's still against guns and that could spell trouble for him and for the plight of the Ukrainian people if he cannot save the day.

But what about those Oscars? We're still waiting.

If Sean Penn destroys his Oscar over Zelenskyy, I will destroy my road race trophies over climate change

Actor and unintentional comedian Sean Penn threatened to "smelt" his Oscars if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not invited to speak at the self-aggrandizing Academy Awards show. To Penn's credit, this is the highest form of virtue signaling many of us have ever seen. What bravery. What courage. Penn doesn't only pretend to play brave and courageous people, he is willing to destroy his trophies to show the world how brave and courageous he is. Kudos, dude.

"If it comes back to it, I will smelt [my Oscar awards] in public," if the Academy doesn't do what Penn says they must. He told the Comedy News Network (CNN) on Saturday, "I pray that’s not what’s happened. I pray there have not been arrogant people, who consider themselves representatives of the greater good in my industry, that have [decided against checking] with leadership in Ukraine. So I’m just going to hope that that’s not what’s happened. I hope [every attendee] walks out if it is," if they don't do what Penn demands.

Taking my cues from this American legend, I have decided that I will throw all of my running trophies in the garbage to be picked up on Wednesday morning [if they come on time] if Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not invited to speak during the Oscar presentations. I will go so far as to ask someone who will watch the show for me [I don't watch crap] to tell me if he appeared on behalf of the Ukrainian people to demand we establish a "no fly" zone and perhaps initiate World War Three.

But even more, I will ditch all of these trophies if Greta Thunberg isn't invited to speak at a joint session of Congress about global warming and why we suck. How dare us.

From what I heard about the 94th Academy Awards show, it will be on Sunday evening and some people might watch it. Penn has now said, "it is my understanding that a decision has been made not" to invite Zelenskyy to speak, and the world waits with hope that Penn will smelt what he was dealt in Oscars on live TV, as my wife and my best friend Cecil, wait to see if I will carry out my own self-aggrandizing demonstration of what a great person I am to throw away my running trophies.

I may take it a step further and ditch my bowling trophy for breaking 200 at the Holy Split Bowling Center. It's old and kind of broken anyway and collecting dust.

He doesn't mean to be funny, but Sean Penn is a joke all unto himself.

Sean Penn abandons his car, walks miles to Polish border leaving Ukrainians behind to fight

A wealthy actor who often plays tough guys in movies, Sean Penn, left his car behind in Ukraine and made a beeline to the Polish border to escape the fighting behind. He joined hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians, mostly women and children and some old men with ailments, to escape the Russian invasion..

“Myself & two colleagues walked miles to the Polish border after abandoning our car on the side of the road. Almost all the cars in this photo carry women & children only, most without any sign of luggage, and a car their only possession of value,” Penn tweeted on Monday. As is the nature of actors, he shared a photo of himself [his 'good' side] taken by someone in his crew, walking along the side of the road, his back to the camera and a line of cars as far as one could see.

He never lets. tragedy go to waste.

The gutsy actor observed that most of the vehicles in sight contained only women and children and it was entirely possible that on this day, he identified as either a woman or child. He noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered all men aged 18 to 60 to stay behind and fight for their country. So Penn used that as a reason to leave because he found a spurt of American patriotism as he hightailed it on down the road.

Penn reportedly was in Ukraine to film a documentary on the Russian invasion but never realized that it could be dangerous so he left. However, others in the media stayed behind to report on the developing situations. It became obvious to Penn, that war documentaries are not his thing because the fighting is real, the bombs are not planted props and a guy could get blown away.

Vice Studios, which is producing the project in conjunction with Vice World News and Endeavor Content, confirmed Penn’s involvement to Variety and that the Oscar-winning actor had been in attendance at a press briefing Thursday in Kyiv where several Ukrainian officials spoke about the ongoing crisis.

Zelensky shared a silent video of his meeting with Penn, adding the caption, “The more people know about the war in Ukraine, the more chances there are to stop Russia.”

As the invasion intensified, Penn tweeted about his feelings about war and man's inhumanity to man, and boys can be girls and vice versa, and if you want to kill anyone, kill babies while they're still in the womb, but later if you must as long as you make them comfortable.

“Already a brutal mistake of lives taken and hearts broken, and if he doesn’t relent, I believe Mr. Putin will have made a most horrible mistake for all of humankind. President Zelensky (sic) and the Ukrainian people have risen as historic symbols of courage and principle,” Penn tweeted, adding, “Ukraine is the tip of the spear for the democratic embrace of dreams. If we allow it to fight alone, our soul as America is lost.”

It's freaking amazing how liberals cry about killing and death, but don't have a problem with baby killing.

Leftists have no decent argument so they indecently compare us to Hitler

Mo, Larry, and Curly Stooge

You know you've won an argument when your opponent attacks you personally. They will never admit defeat, and that's why they believe in "everybody gets a trophy."

The left has not let up on their personal attacks on conservatives or anyone who thinks differently than they do. They cannot tolerate differing opinions because their logic is anything but logical: men can be women; women can be men; White people can identify as Black and so on.

And with the improvement in ultrasound technology, they have a hard time arguing that a fetus isn't a baby in the womb.

Rep. Eric "Boom Boom" Swalwell (D-CA) was sleeping with a China spy named Fang Fang and then headed the House Intelligence Committee.  Not a great combination of situations, but it's okay--he's a Democrat so he has it covered.

Swalwell, proving he's a POS, as well as Sean Penn and MSNBC's Joy Reid compared President Trump to  Usama bin Laden

Don LeMon, the Comedy News Network host, called Trump voters neo-Nazis and KKK members because they voted for him. With this logic, the sexual deviants, pedophiles and wife beaters who watch LeMon, prove that he is a member of those categories--it's simple algebra.

The country is dividing into two nearly equal parts and this seems to be what the left wants. Free speech is our legal right, but it's being stifled by the left. Soon businesses will be divided: leftists will have their entertainment venues and conservatives will eventually have theirs, albeit not so soon.

When President-elect Biden said that he plans to bring the nation together, he apparently means the nation on the left and screw the other guys because none of his rhetoric supports that claim.

We are going to have to do what we can to support conservative voices. I subscribe to Daily Wire and suggest you seriously think about doing the same. At least look at other conservative sources such as Daily Caller, Louder With Crowder [on YouTube for now] and National Review. Also, don't hesitate to look at the other side but be critical in what they say. We should always be aware how the other side thinks.

Finally, please consider subscribing to my free blog, Brain Flushings. I can be satirical, sometimes angry, and generally fair. Sometimes I can even be funny--at least to myself and hopefully you. The only ways I get paid is by knowing I've made a difference in the world and also when you click on one of the ads on the page. Just one click does the trick.

Comrade Seagal Calls Putin "Reasonable"

Taking his career cues from Dennis Rodman and Sean Penn, movie tough guy, judo and swimming enthusiast, and overweight has-been, Steven Seagal, is now BFF with Vladimir Putin. Maybe all the rhetoric is a move to rekindle lost interest in a career that has been banished to Siberia, but Seagal believes that Putin's military actions in Crimea were "very reasonable."

In an interview with Russian language newspaper, Rossiskaya Gazeta, Seagal unabashedly praised Putin, as "one of the greatest living world leaders" and considers him his brother. He might have added: "But if Vladimir wants it to be more than that, well, I'm ready for whatever he's wants."

While Seagal cannot stand Obama and his "idiotic" foreign policy towards Ukraine and Russia, he says that "(Putin's) desire to protect the Russian-speaking people of Crimea, his assets, and the Russian Black Sea military base in Sevastopol . . . is very reasonable."

Comrade Seagal also says that he would like to take a run at governor of Arizona but in an interview with the same Russian newspaper, he claimed that it is possible that he will apply for Russian citizenship "some time" in the future. I suspect that if he does apply, this would hurt is chances of actually winning the nomination for governor. Of course, if he chose to run as a Democrat, it might work out to his advantage.

However, at the end of the day, Seagal says that he's a Republican. He also claims to be patriotic but when asked to define the word he was speechless. I say we should kick the can down the road and throw him under the bus. It's idiots like Seagal that give Republicans a bad name, and idiots like Penn and Rodman that give idiots a bad name.

FBI evidently confronted Eric "Boom Boom" Swalwell over the weekend and hoo boy

It has been a rough stretch for former Rep. Eric "Boom Boom" Swalwell . You know, the guy who's known for the fart heard round...
