Anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) screen grab |
You can argue against Israel's policies and government--that doesn't make you an anti-Semite--but when you talk about the annihilation of Israel, "from the river to the sea," you're about hating Jews and you know it. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) knows it too, and she has a long, consistent history of hating Israel and even the United States, and now even some Jews in her Party, are going against her horrible rhetoric against both nations.
Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA), tore into Omar on Wednesday for making "outrageous and clearly false statements" about the United States and the Jewish State of Israel in a recent tweet in which Omar claimed America and Israel committed "unthinkable atrocities" akin to the Taliban and Hamas.
The irony is, Omar has a history of defending both Hamas and the Taliban ["some people did something" on 911] but she is using these terrorist organizations as moral equivalency to the US and Israel.
"It's not news that Ilhan Omar would make outrageous and clearly false statements about America and Israel," Sherman wrote. "What's newsworthy is that she admits Hamas is guilty of ‘unthinkable atrocities.’"
"It's time for all of Israel's detractors to condemn Hamas," Sherman added. "And it’s time for all those of good will to reject any moral equivalency between the U.S. and Israel on one hand, and Hamas and the Taliban on the other."
Omar recently accused Israel of committing "war crimes" following days of conflict between Israel and Hamas that saw thousands of missiles fired indiscriminately at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. One imagines from her words that "war crimes" mean retaliation for being attacked without provocation. She and others would like Israel to stop defending themselves.
Sherman is a senior Democrat and a Jew. He sent out a press release in response to Omar's tweet in which he said that what is "newsworthy" is Omar admitting Hamas "is guilty of 'unthinkable atrocities.'" But let's not kid ourselves, Omar is a fan of the 'Fightin' Hamassholes,' a terrorist organization that targets Israeli civilians of all ages.

Omar had tweeted:
"We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban. I asked [Secretary of State Antony Blinken] where people are supposed to go for justice."
Well Omar went from Somalia to the United States then to Congress in a country she frequently bad-mouths, as do her fellow "Squadettes," made up of hard-left women of various skin tones who hate America and capitalism.

"We should all be grateful that a ceasefire will prevent more civilians and children from being killed," Omar tweeted in May. "But now what? We need accountability for every war crime committed."
If she got "accountability for every war crime," all of Hamas would be behind bars.
