IDF fights back after Hamas hits Israeli cities with rockets: FAFO Hamas

Israel has once again been forced to defend itself against the barbarism of Hamas, that terrorist scourge which on Sunday launched a volley of rockets towards the towns of Israel's Southern District. And darn it if they didn't do it in style.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), with the resolve of a nation that will not cower, struck back at the Gaza Strip launchers from where they originated.

From central Gaza, the rockets rained down upon Ashdod and Ashkelon as Sunday evening fell, leaving a trail of damage and debris across multiple sites, but fortunately, no Israeli deaths.

Ten rockets in total, and the Israeli forces, stretched thin by the unrelenting aggression, could intercept only half. "Approximately five projectiles were successfully intercepted by the IAF [Israeli Air Force]," the military stated, noting that "Falls [strikes] were identified in several areas."

The IDF Home Front Command soldiers, those brave souls, rushed to the scenes, working alongside Israeli security forces to confront the chaos wrought by Hamas's savagery. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, briefed on the assault, ordered "a forceful response and approved the continued intensified IDF operations in Gaza against Hamas."

Defense Minister Israel Katz echoed this steely determination: "I instructed the IDF to extend the military operation and deal Hamas a heavy blow in response to the launches," he declared. "For every shrapnel that harms a resident of Ashkelon, the Hamas murderers must pay a heavy price."

The IDF later took to X, sharing visceral footage of a neighborhood ravaged by a rocket's impact—emergency lights piercing the night, first responders tending to the wounded innocence of a residential street. "This is just one neighborhood in Israel hit by Hamas rocket fire tonight," the post read, a stark testament to the reality Israel endures.

"Hamas continues to hide behind Gazan civilians while firing at Israeli civilians." With unwavering resolve, the IDF vowed: "We will continue to defend Israelis from the threat of terrorism."

This latest outrage unfolds as Israel persists in its broader mission, targeting terrorist cells across the Middle East. Just last week, airstrikes hammered Syrian military airfields—a calculated move, "a clear message to Turkey not to interfere with Israeli aerial operations in Syrian airspace."

On Friday, the IDF confirmed the elimination of Mohammed Mohammed M. Awad, the terrorist mastermind behind the murders of Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel Bibas. "As part of his role in the terrorist organization, Awad was actively involved until his death in recruiting terror operatives in Judea and Samaria and within Israel, through whom he used to plan and carry out attacks against Israelis," the IDF revealed.

So it goes—Israel, a nation besieged, standing firm against the relentless tide of those who would see it destroyed. The facts speak for themselves, and they demand a reckoning.

Am Yisrael Chai! Stay strong Israel.

"I pour my heart into these posts, and if they’ve sparked something for you, I’d be thrilled if you’d treat me to a coffee over at Buy Me a Coffee – totally optional, of course!"
