Sergey Brin Corners Gavin Newsom At Treehouse Party, Announces He's Ditching California Before Billionaire Tax Vampires Strike

An exclusive holiday gathering just north of San Francisco turned into a stomach-churning fiscal nightmare for California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Back in December, Newsom and Google co-founder Sergey Brin attended the same "treehouse party" hosted by crypto investor Chris Larsen. It was there, according to a Bloomberg report, that Brin broke the news that he would be leaving the state in response to a proposed wealth tax.

According to the report, it was a tense, private confrontation so jarring that Newsom reportedly complained about a "lingering cold" he attributed to the interaction for months afterward.Brin allegedly explicitly cited the Billionaire Tax Act, a 5% one-time excise tax on individuals with a net worth exceeding $1 billion, hitting his nearly $289 billion net worth hard.

Just this week, the Service Employees International Union–United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW) said it has collected more than 1.55 million signatures, according to a press release, nearly double the 875,000-signature requirement, to put the one-time tax on billionaire assets on the California ballot this November.

If the measure is approved by voters, anyone who was a California resident on Jan. 1, 2026, would owe the tax, according to the proposal.

Brin effectively shielded his wealth from the retroactive reach of the proposed tax by buying properties in Nevada and Florida. He has also committed at least $45 million to a group called "Building A Better California" to fight the initiative, with his total spending to kill the tax already reaching $58 million this year.

The Corcoran Group agent Julian Johnston exclusively speaks to Fox News Digital about the new wave of California billionaires migrating to South Florida due to a proposed wealth tax. "I fled socialism with my family in 1979 and know the devastating, oppressive society it created in the Soviet Union. I don't want California to end up in the same place," Brin told The New York Times this week regarding a story by the outlet that discussed his move.

Newsom has publicly opposed the billionaire tax, warning the measure would damage the economy and drive away investment. Since January, it’s estimated that more than $1 trillion in capital has left California.

"This is my fear," Newsom previously said in a Politico interview. "It’s just what I warned against. It’s happening."

"The evidence is in. The impacts are very real, not just substantive economic impacts in terms of the revenue, but start-ups, the indirect impacts of . . .  people questioning long-term commitments, medium-term commitments," he continued. "That’s not what we need right now, at a time of so much uncertainty. Quite the contrary."

Look, even the guy who helped invent the modern surveillance state is bailing on Gavin Newsom's People's Republic of California because the tax vampires have finally gone full Dracula. Sergey Brin did not mince words at that fancy treehouse soiree. He looked Newsom in the eye and basically said, "I'm out before you clowns try to loot me like it's a Bolshevik yard sale."

And poor Gavin spent months nursing a "lingering cold" from the encounter. Must have been rough realizing that even your billionaire buddies are done pretending California's socialist experiment is anything but a slow-motion train wreck.

Brin is not messing around. He has already parked assets in Nevada and Florida, dropped tens of millions to kill this idiocy, and reminded everyone that he actually escaped real socialism once before. Now he's watching Newsom's crew try to recreate it on the West Coast with extra failure and homeless encampments.

Meanwhile, the governor is out there sounding shocked that his warnings about driving away wealth and talent are coming true. Shocked, I tell you. The same guy who turned the state into a high-tax, high-crime, open-air toilet is now watching the productive class vote with their feet and their fortunes.

This is what happens when you treat success like a crime and then act surprised when the successful start packing. California is not "progressive." It is progressively broke, progressively empty of anyone who actually creates jobs, and progressively run by people who never met a tax they didn't love until it starts costing them donors.

Brin saw the writing on the wall and got out. Smart man. The rest of us are stuck watching Newsom try to spin this disaster as someone else's fault. Same script, different treehouse.

The Secret Service secrets surface and boy are there secrets

What is slowly becoming more obvious is that the US Secret Service (USSS) isn't as competent as a small Pennsylvania PD with fewer than 20 cops after what we are seeing post-Trump assassination attempt. [Oh, by the way, Google has put Trump on the list of assassination attempts on US Presidents, but it took the public outcry to get them to do it. All you would get at first was Truman and a bunch of others, but not Trump.]

USSS's new Director keeps slowly leaking more details at the speed of molasses strained through a coffee filter. And the so called 'news' coverage is a joke. The details we get, however, seems to paint the Secret Service as a less innocent player in the event.

In their traditional "bury the news" strategy, Interim Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe, along with his bizarre buzzcut, held a late Friday news conference. He said "we accept full responsibility" but really took no responsibility and told us little of what the $3 billion agency did at Trump's rally to protect him and other high-value targets.

We learned, however, that the Secret Service had NO RADIO COMMUNICATION with local POLICE and NO RADIO COMMUNICATION with the ANTI-SNIPERS. The vital communications were made via texts over an overloaded cell phone network.

There were NO SECRET SERVICE recordings of communications but THERE ARE OF THE LOCAL POLICE.

The responsibilities of the local snipers was made up by the USSS and if it weren't for the locals, we would know much less.

The Secret Service COMMAND CENTER was NOT CO-LOCATED with the local POLICE.

The investigators have YET to talk to the local police who were assisting the USSS, including the snipers (after three weeks!)

Butler, PA was the VERY FIRST TIME that the USSS PROVIDED SNIPERS FOR a TRUMP rally this election cycle.

The normal complement of Secret Service intelligence officers had been pulled from the rally!

If this is not the definition of a clusterfrack [misspelled on purpose] I don't know what is. They weren't even attempting to work with local law enforcement.

At a news conference Friday, acting Secret Service director Ronald Rowe Jr. acknowledged that there were separate communications hubs that did not effectively share information in vital moments. “There might have been radio traffic that we missed. We have to be better on that,” he said.

No kidding, Sherlock.

Rowe repeatedly emphasized that the rally shooting was a failure by the Secret Service, not local law enforcement. “If the large majority of our partners are in a unified command post or in a different location, we need to probably be there, too,” Captain Obvious said.

“We’re certainly going to examine the communication aspect very closely,” Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service, said in response to questions from The New York Post.

At the time of the attempted assassination on the former President's life, Rowe was the deputy director in charge of ensuring that the protection resources and plans were in place to ensure this didn't happen. He was appointed to replace the execrable Kimberly Cheatle as the director by the indescribably corrupt Secretary of Homeland Security, who has been on an anti-Trump crusade for years.


It's not just the media who are memory-holing the assassination attempt, it is the Secret Service as well.

Let's not forget, the shooter was able to get off EIGHT SHOTS before they got him. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.

Google wokebots stage sit-in until it ends business deal with Israel

Google, like the rest of the hi-tech companies, swings so far to the left that even New York gets sucked up in the vacuum it makes. The company targets, intimidates and demonetizes conservatives and conservative media that questions election integrity, or questions if Donald Trump is in bed with Adolf Hitler, who, by the way, celebrates his 135th birthday in hell today.

Google employees staged a sit-in a few days ago in which they occupied the California office of Google Cloud in Sunnydale, until the CEO, Thomas Kurian would stop allowing the company to do business with Israel and those, you know, Jews.

It is believed that the sit-in anti-Semites used the "Hey, hey, ho, ho" cheer because it's a go-to cheer for morons who are clueless about the situation and who wear Keffiyehs because they look cool in their minds. A simultaneous ant-Israel rally took place in Google's New York City office. Protesters shouted chants asking Kurian “How many kids did you kill today?”

Fun Fact: Kurian killed zero kids and zero adults. The protesters support Hamas who killed and kidnapped kids from Israel, and they are the useful idiots who don't even realize that they too would be killed by Hamas and a majority of Palestinians if they came waltzing into the country. This is especially true for the blue/pink-haired gay protesters who wouldn't last longer than it takes to shoot them, hang them, behead them, or drop them from a high place as Islamic scripture prescribes--just ask the attendees of the Pulse Nightclub shooting. Google fires 28 employees after growing a pair

It's beginning to look a lot like companies across America are getting fed up with the "kids" calling the shots or simply acting out, as if they own the company. An example of how the adults took charge was with Google's response to the way Hamasshole supporters are disrupting everything they can.

Although Google has historically supported such woke ideology like DEI and BLM, it finally grew a set of balls, primarily because it had to for its own sake.

It might have been the final straw when a clique of terror-loving Googlers staged a mega-tantrum in the company’s New York and California offices over work their employer does for you know, the Jews of Israel. Google wasted no time to respond and terminate 28 Hamas-supporting racists involved in the disruptions.

“They took over office spaces, defaced our property, and physically impeded the work of other Googlers. Their behavior was unacceptable, extremely disruptive, and made co-workers feel threatened,” the company’s vice president of global security said.

Good for Google.

The “protest” consisted of infantile actions such as office sit-ins and childish demands on a top exec’s whiteboard. 

Overall, their behavior was akin to the Hamassholes blocking the Golden Gate Bridge last Monday, blocking access to vehicles and fortunately nobody was being transported by ambulance for emergency medical intervention. The useful idiots, many of whom would not survive a full minute if they were doing this in Gaza, were allegedly funded by Iran. [H/T The Geller Report.]

The Daily Wire also reported on Google's internal anti-Semitism including the words "kill all Jews" written on a bathroom wall inside one of their offices. A Jewish employee was also assaulted by pro-Hamas protesters on one of their campuses.

In Manhattan, the Hamas-supporters occupied the tenth floor of Google's offices in Chelsea as part of support for the Seattle office for what they called "No Tech for Genocide Day of Action." These were obviously computer geeks and not English majors or minors as they don't understand the definition of the word 'genocide.'

The protesters demanded [LOL] that Google pull out of a 41.2 billion "Project Nimbus" contract with Israel in which Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services provide AI and cloud-computing services for the Israeli government and the IDF.

If it were up to these infants at Google, Israel would be defenseless and they would have their genocide, except to the people it was tried on once before by a turd named Hitler.

Kim Jong Un has agent face firing squad for Googling 'Kim Jong Un'

If you google Kim Jong Un you would learn that he wasn't a very good student at the Liebefeld Steinhölzli state school in Köniz near Bern, Switzerland. His grades actually kind of sucked and he is very protective over all the information one might find on Google.

Kim is so protective, in fact, that a North Korean agent who actually did google his name is now facing a firing squad. At least he isn't being sent off on a pogostick in a minefield, I guess.

The fact is, nobody in the hermit kingdom is allowed to use the internet without authorization from the big guy--no, not Biden--Kim.

But this poor guy isn't the only one caught surfing the web as several others from the regime's hush-hush Bureau 10 have been caught with their pants down surfing the web--figuratively, of course.

The regime does all it can to keep its citizens from learning about the outside world and this even includes its agents.

A secret source said the agents were ratted out by a colleague in a Dwight Schrute [of The Office] type of move. The rat was from the Ministry of State Security who didn't get the job belting out "Sound of Music" parodies on YouTube.

And while searching the web in North Korea is really wrong for those who bought green bananas and expect to eat them once they're ripe, falling asleep in a meeting headed by the supreme leader for life and a Dennis Rodman buddy, can make you the moving target for anti-aircraft gun practice.

The secret source said: 'Bureau 10 departments are given access to the internet, which had allowed agents to turn off their search word recording devices and search the web as much as they like without issue.

"But after a new bureau chief took over, even these previously routine issues have turned into major incidents." 

Even public whistling or carrying a happy tune can get you ten hard ones in the NoKo slammer.

Greg Scarlatoiu, director of the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea, said the regime's information firewall was falling apart. "Even the most trusted agents of the Kim regime are now attempting to access information from the outside world," he said.

Google deletes offensive definition for "Jew"

Google had to repair the search results for the word "Jew" from: to "bargain with someone in a miserly or petty way" to: "a member of the people and cultural community whose traditional religion is Judaism and who trace their origins through the ancient Hebrew people of Israel to Abraham."

Can you see the difference? The first one is a disgusting anti-Semitic trope while the second one is an actual definition. Google added the "offensive" label in all capital letters to their offensive definition, and wrote that the origins were in 19th Century stereotypes "associating Jewish people with trading and moneylending."

Google had the original 'definition' up until about 1 p.m. on Tuesday using a verb to define 'Jew' and credited Oxford Languages as the source for the anti-Semitic definition. It also presented the word in various "tenses" such as "jewed" and "jewing."

Google changed the definition after online users pointed out their offensive error.

Integrity First for America Executive Director Amy Spitalnick tweeted:

"So, if you Google the word 'Jew' - this is what comes up as the definition. 'Bargain with someone in a miserly or petty way.' Seriously, @Google?" 

She added in another tweet:

"I assume Google will fix this — but the real question is how something like this could happen in the first place. At the @WhiteHouse antisemitism roundtable this month, some of us raised how tech companies allow antisemitism to run rampant. This is an almost comical example."

The new accepted cocktail conversation

Google SearchLiason responded:

"Our apologies. Google licenses definitions from third-party dictionary experts. We only display offensive definitions by default if they are the main meaning of a term. As this is not the case here, we have blocked this & passed along feedback to the partner for further review."

Google confirmed that the derogatory definition was removed from its search engine results by 1:21 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

An Anti-Defamation League (ADL) spokesperson told CBS News that "there is no excuse" for "an obviously antisemitic result" to be displayed first on Google.

"We are thankful that Google removed the offensive definition of the word Jew from its initial dictionary definition today after ADL and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported it," the spokesperson told CBS News.

It should have never happened on the first place.

Google 'idiot' get photos of Trump

Do you know if you Google the word "idiot" photos of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, comes up?

Democratic Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren pointed this out at the congressional hearing to the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai. The purpose of the hearing was to determine whether Google displays bias among the website searches. Take a guess.

Pichai explained to Congress (a body of individuals whose combined knowledge of computers adds up to that of a twelve-year-old child) why searching for 'idiot' turns up pictures of Trump.

“If you Google the word ‘idiot’ under images, a picture of Donald Trump comes up. I just did that. How would that happen?” Lofgren asked.

Pichai answered by explaining that Google’s searches are based on multiple factors that determine the end result. [See video below for the exchange.]

“We take the keyword and match it against their pages and rank them based on over 200 signals -- things like relevance, freshness, popularity, how other people are using it,” he testified. “Based on that, at any given time, we try to rank and find the best search results for that query.”

Trump’s face also appears on Google image searches for “stupid” and “racist.”

Okay, that seems to make sense, although it's very disrespectful to the office of the president and can probably be controlled in a civil way if Google really tried harder.

I googled the word 'idiot' early in the morning and some interesting results came up:

I now ask, how is this not bias results? The wording of the headline's first article is clearly anti-Trump and it literally calls him an idiot.

Number two's wording speaks about trends and couples the word 'idiot' with Trump's photo taking away any doubts that the president and the word go together.

Three is just disgusting.

After thirty minutes CNN was the top site to respond about Trump's woes when you google the word 'idiot.' What the president's problems are, and what the word 'idiot' have in common is unclear, but CNN will use any opportunity to attack him and his administration.

Think of the Honduran father whose 7-year-old child died of malnutrion and dehydration after the dangerous journey to illegally cross the Mexican-U.S. border. The media is blaming Trump, when it's obvious the father should be put behind bars for not feeding or giving water to his child. But blame the U.S. Border Patrol and by extension, Trump.

Looking at 5 and 6, all you see is negative press about Trump and the administration, both having nothing to do with the word 'idiot.' But Google says that relevance is one of the main criteria for how results are displayed, and there is no obvious relevance in these articles. It's just a way to attack Trump.

The mainstream media are the real idiots and Google is their partner.

You may not like everything President Trump says or does, but it's appalling the way he is treated by those with the power to communicate and influence.

Also, it's damn scary because it works.

GOP calls for investigation into Google

A Republican congressman and congressman-elect called for an investigation of Google last Friday morning after it was revealed the previous day that the company's employees talked about burying conservative media outlets in their search function after President Trump was elected.

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) called upon the DOJ to investigate the company and Senator-elect Josh Hawley (R-MO) called for Google's top executives to explain themselves "under oath."

Not surprisingly, no Democrats were overtly upset by the revelation that Google had favored their party and was willing to compromise fairness to showcase their views over those of conservatives.

On Friday Hawley tweeted:

So what do we have here? Looks like a monopoly scheming to use its market power to silence news [and] viewpoints it doesn't like. Starting to see a pattern here. Google execs need to explain what is going on here. Under oath.

Gosar tweeted Friday morning:

Google has a virtual monopoly as far as search engines go. It's past time @DOJPH [sic] investigate this and it's time Congress evaluates Google's suppression of ideas, content, discussion.

A Nov. 9, 2016 internal Google communications written by Scott Byer, a Google engineer, stated:

How many times did you see the Election now card with items from opinion blogs (Breitbart, Daily Caller) elevated next to legitimate news organizations? That’s something that can and should be fixed. … Beyond that, let’s concentrate on teaching critical thinking. A little bit of that would go a long way. Let’s make sure that we reverse things in four years – demographics will be on our side.

The call for an investigation made by Hawley and Gosar follows the announcement by the House Judiciary Committee that Google's CEO Sundar Pichai will testify them on Dec. 5 to answer their questions about the company's political bias. 

Pichai had been criticized by GOP lawmakers on Sept. 5th at a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on social media and foreign election meddling.

“Today the company accounts for nearly 90 percent of worldwide search traffic. … Unfortunately, recent reports suggest Google might not be wielding its vast power impartially,” committee member and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said in a Wednesday press release.

Facebook and Twitter executives testified, and an empty chair with a nameplate that said “Google” sat where the company’s representative would have been.

Now we need to know if the person who will sit in the empty chair will turn out to be an empty suit.

Bilderberg group secretly meets Thursday to control the world

Global power brokers, politicians, bankers, captains of industry, along with European royalty, will quietly meet for four days starting Thursday. They will discuss, behind closed doors, the merits and problems with Donald J. Trump's U.S. presidency.

The meeting is in Chantilly, Virginia where 131 elites, such as Henry Kissinger, civil rights activist Vernon Jordan and NATO secretary Jens Stoltenberg, will discuss transatlantic relations, a "progress report" on the Trump administration, and the future of the European Union.

If the Bilderberg group does not like what it sees, they will destroy the world. 

Or maybe not.

This year's meeting is a chance for Trump supporters like Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster and tech entrepreneur Peter Thiel to face his critics such as Eric Schmidt, the executive director of Google's parent company.

Schmidt, the man behind all the information Google has on all of us, and who knows where we are at every minute of the day and wants our photos and comments to store away for some future purpose, warned us in January that Trump's administration will do "evil things."

And Schmidt knows this because Google knows everything and would never use this information to do "evil things" or, at least nothing that they determine is evil.


Bilderberg Group has met annually since 1954 and its purpose (allegedly, if you're an Alex Jones fan, which I'm not) is to foster dialogue between Europoe and North America. Although this meeting will be a mere 30 miles from the White House, they will be totally out of the public eye.

And if you're an Alex Jones fan, you will find that fact very disturbing because you will know they are up to no good as they run the world without any resistance.

Only a few journalists will participate in the forum: London Evening Standard editor George Osborne and the Washington bureau chief for Turkey's Hurriyet newspaper. 

However, it is the tradition of Bilderberg to exclude news outlets from the event, which, if you're an Alex Jones fan, you would find that very, very suspicious and probably malevolent.

"There is no desired outcome, no minutes are taken and no report is written," the group states. "Furthermore, no resolutions are proposed, no votes are taken, and no policy statements are issued."

Alex Jones: "Very fishy, if you ask me."

The meeting is expected to address Russia, China, globalization, nuclear proliferation, and "the war on information."

"And world domination," Jones mutters.

Some guests invited include: Dutch King Willem-Alexander; David Rubenstein, co-founder of The Carlyle Group; and John Brennan, former CIA chief and "secret Muslim because he visited the Hajj, which only Muslims are allowed to visit," Jones might say.

Anti-globalization protesters, those people who still believe in sovereign nations, have descended on the location of the meeting while in-between jobs.

Hillary drops the "n" and feminists swoon

Unpresidented Hillary Clinton may be preparing for 2020, according to my source, Vinny Boombots. 

In an unprecedented move, Hillary allegedly plans to legally remove the 'n's from her last name. She believes it will help increase her approval rating among feminists who didn't vote for her in 2016's presidential election, an election she lost to TV personality and real estate mogul, Donald J. Trump.

The main reason for Hillary not scoring with that demographic is due to her not being "feminine enough" says renowned feminist Ruth Bader Ginsburg between naps. 

"If she went ahead and changed her last name to Clito, that would be an extreme advanta . . . zzz."

In a recent graduation ceremony at her alma mater, Wellesley, Hillary recalled how the election was stolen from her, particularly by Russia, James Comey and those "deplorables from those damn red states. You know, those states that aren't sophisticated and cling to their Bibles."

She went on: "They shouldn't allow those states to vote--those people are too dumb to vote and the proof is they voted for Trump instead of me."

According to Vinny, President Trump is praying that the Democratic Party will be stupid enough to put her up for POTUS in the next presidential race. He told Vinny (behind closed doors) that "Not only is Hillary crooked, she's also a loser, like ISIS. They're filled with losers and she's a loser too. Losers. Hillary and ISIS are nothing but losers."

Rumor also has it that Hillary is planning to go after Google legally for publishing her real age. She knows that will hurt her in 2020 when she turns 73 as that would make her the oldest president if she wins. It would also make her the first president who would allow babies to be killed in a full-term pregnancy.

"I never told them how old I am and they have no right to publish my age without my permission," she said in a stern monotone. "How did they find out? Did they 'Google' me?"

But the chances of Hillary winning the next presidential election are about the same as Chelsea Manning getting to play the starring role in "Rambo and the Return of the Doo-Rag Generation."

A convicted Islamic terrorist in Indonesia is running a popular Islamist website from his prison cell where he is serving his sentence. The savage's name is . . . wait for it . . . Muhammad Jibril Abdul Rahman.

Muhammad's website Arrahmah.com shows beheadings and has up to a million visitors a month who get off on that kind of mentally ill crap. The platforms such as Google's Adsense features ads from companies such as IBM, Microsoft and Citigroup, according to the UK's Financial Times.

Jibril, aka "Prince of Jihad" aka "King of the Scumcrumpets" was sentence to a mere five years for his role in the bombing of Jakarta's JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels in 2009 leaving 7 people dead.

He is a member of Jemaah Islamiyh, a Southeast Asian terrorist group with links to Al Qaeda and he is one of three "people" sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department in 2011 stating "U.S. persons are prohibited from engaging in transactions with these [3] individuals, and assets they may hold under U.S. jurisdiction are frozen."

Google now says that Arrahmah.com's account has been termnated, but the site is still connected to the $160 billion advertising market via third-parties who continue to place ads on the site. 

While I don't believe in carte blanche boycotting, I would love to know which companies advertise for this guy.

Google said in a statement: "We take the quality of our network very seriously and invest significant time and resources to keeping bad actors out of our system. We also have strict policies and terms of use which govern the type of publishers we allow on AdSense."

Citigroup said: "We have a number of policies and procedures in place for our vendors designed to help prevent our advertising from appearing on inappropriate sites. In this case, we have acted quickly to rectify the issue and have taken steps to ensure our ads will not appear on this site in the future."

The Democratic National Convention said: "We have no idea what you're talking about."

Funding a U.S. designated terrorist organization is a criminal offense punishable by 20 years in prison which you can avoid by paying a fine of $1 million.

On a more serious note, it is very likely that Google and Citigroup weren't aware of how their ads were farmed out.  The Democrats? Hmmm, not so sure.

Apple has a worm

Two religious kids out for a jihad

San Bernadino D.A. Mike Ramos believes the Muslim jihadist Syed Farook's iPhone may have information on it that could uncover a possible third shooter in the December jihad massacre that killed 14 infidels. 

I know this description of the event may sound harsh, but that's exactly how the gunman and gunwoman viewed their "religious" mission.

Ramos filed an amicus curiae (aka: amicus brief) stating, "At the time that the murders were being perpetrated at least two 911 calls to the San Bernadino Police Dispatch center reported the involvement of three perpetrators."

The brief went on to add: "Although the reports of three individuals were no corroborated, and may ultimately be incorrect, the fact remains that the information contained solely on the seized iPhone could provide evidence to identify as of yet unknown co-conspirators who would be prosecuted for murder and attempted murder in San Bernadino County by the District Attorney."

Although it was confirmed that Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik did the shooting, the FBI has not ruled out the possibility of a third shooter being involved. Indeed, some eyewitnesses insisted there were three. One of those eyewitnesses, Sally Abedlmageed, said, "I know what I saw."

Ms. Abedlmageed doesn't seem to have an ax to grind.

Dead jihadists who murder innocent non-Muslims have zero privacy rights, and any evidence that can help us understand the situation and gather intelligence that may prevent further harm should be made available to law enforcement immediately. His phone can provide us with evidence of the crime, at the very least, and at best, prevent another one.

In any case, there may or may not be a third shooter, but what if the iPhone can provide data of another jihadist connection? Wouldn't that be a possible gold mine of intel?

The first officer on the scene, Lt. Michael Madden said he saw no evidence pointing to a third gunman. There's no doubt that such violence can cause people to see what may not be true. 

If you Google weapon focus effect, for example, it says:

Weapon focus is a factor affecting the reliability of eyewitness testimony. Weapon focus signifies a witness to a crime diverting his or her attention to the weapon the perpetrator is holding, thus leaving less attention for other details in the scene and leading to memory impairment later for those other details.

Now the issue is how intimate to the scene, the violent action, were the witnesses? If they believed their lives were in danger, then this phenomenon would apply. But if they didn't believe their lives were in danger, than their testimony is more believable.

Ramos tried another approach to get the iPhone opened for FBI search. He said in the filing the the phone "may contain evidence that can only be found on the seized phone that it was used as a weapon to introduce a lying dormant cyber pathogen that endangers San Bernadino County's infrastructure."

Ramos is probably referring to the possible existence of a "virus" or "worm" malware that would attack government computer networks and the like.

Apple does not need to change their system or be made to build something they don't want to build--that would be a form of slavery. All they need to do is a bypass of the password that, if tried and failed ten times would delete all phone data.

But Apple seems to have its own worm.

C'mon Tim Cook--do the right thing. If you don't, I'm trading in my iPhone for an android.

Snowden is Missing and So is Transparency

Edward Snowden was fired today from Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH, humbug) and is likely in hiding. This young man is a hero to himself, his girlfriend pole-dancer, and some others who believe that what he did was justified because it is unconstitutional when the government decides to collect information on its citizens without just cause. Others believe that national security trumps the privacy of our phone numbers. Of course, there is that little thing called email that changes the story quite a bit--email contains actual words, messages, private thoughts, that the government can acquire. That sounds over the top, to me. 

The Fox-Google Republican Debate

"Not payin' for illegal's education is heartless"

I just finished watching the Fox-Google Republican Debate. I feel this was the best one of the three debates. I can't help but like Newt and his directness and intelligence when he finally gets the chance to speak. Michele Bachmann wore red, indicating that she was feeling her oats, and I thought she also made some good points. She was in the Spin Room afterward and spoke with Sean Hannity, explaining her thoughts on immigration and how she would seal off the border whereas Perry is too moderate on this issue, and it doesn't sit well with conservatives--Bachmann may just get back some of those people that Perry won over before he joined the debates.

Perry and Romney slugged it out, as predicted, but I think Perry was kind of flat, and when he spoke about the 32 year old woman who had cervical cancer and who approached him about her dilemma regarding her health care, I didn't think he was being genuine. In fact, it seemed like he was doing his Texas rodeo thing of throwing the bull. But the worst thing he did was to say that people who were against supporting college funding for illegal aliens were heartless. Romney destroyed him with his comeback and Perry deserved the beatback. I cannot believe any normal conservative would not see it as unfair for illegal aliens to pay in-state financial rates for college and out of state Americans pay $100 thousand more for tuition--not only does it not make sense, as Romney put it, but it isn't fair.


One thing that came out of this debate, that should be perfectly clear to anyone who is fairminded, is how the Fox News team handled the questions. Nobody on the panel did a Brian Williams and editorialized their left wing agenda with such a snarky question as he did over the death penalty (see video). Nobody went gently into the night with softball questions like the liberal media did with Obama in his run for the White House. It was a fair debate with questions coming from the public and the panelists, and overall, the debaters handled it well.

While it doesn't appear that any of the candidates are ready to jump off the bandwagon, I thought Johnson should have considered it; but after seeing a Fox poll asking who people believed won the debate, Johnson actually did a lot better than I would have guessed, and came in second with about 14% of the vote--a total surprise as I thought he appeared nervous and unsure of himself. What do I know?


I like Ron Paul, not as a candidate, but as an uncle. I can see him telling me his thoughts about the world, and I could listen to him for hours, then I would use what is useful and discard what was crazy with his thinking. For example, his beliefs about Iran are not accurate and his permissiveness regarding their nuclear program are incredibly dangerous. Iran is a clear and present danger, a nuclear threat, and populated by a suicidal people who believe they will get to heaven by killing us. Not a good idea to say they have the same rights as the rest of us to have nuclear weapons. I rest my case with Ron Paul (notice how you never say only his last name because it's also a first name).


Rick Santorum seems like a bright guy, but when he speaks, he looks pained. I always get the impression that he's constipated. But Santorum had the guts to give an opinion on Iraq and Afghanistan and would continue our efforts there--you don't have to agree with him to see that he is, at least, a guy with principals.

Herman Cain rocks, but I don't believe he has a chance in getting the nomination. If he did, I would vote for him in a heartbeat. His "9-9-9" plan actually sounds interesting and rather practical--I just wonder if it would work. I like the straightforwardness of his approach and his sharp answers. I worry, however, that he'd get eaten up in the political arena if he became president, and I suspect I'm not alone in that thinking.


Well, that's the way I see it for now--this will likely change as time shows us the flaws and inconsistencies of the candidates. For now, I'm going with Romney, but that's just for now. He is probably the best choice to beat Obama, and Obama must be beaten if this country is to succeed and not go the road to socialism. Sarah Palin waited too long to jump in, I believe, and she would be too much of a distraction at this point. I think it will be important to discover who she ends up endorsing, so let us wait and watch.
