Congress Forced To Pause Entire Government After Rashida Tlaib Suffers Severe Emotional Damage From Mean Words

Tlaib famously able to touch her nose with her lips

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. House of Representatives was thrown into a veritable clusterfrack this week after Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), reportedly suffered a critical outbreak of democracy when Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), said things out loud that weren’t pre-approved by congressional sensitivity coordinators.

The dramatic scene unfolded during debate over a Lebanon war powers resolution, where Tlaib accused Israel of committing atrocities while demanding the United States stop supporting America’s closest ally in the Middle East.

"We must end U.S. participation in the Israeli apartheid regime’s invasion of Lebanon. The Israeli military continues to target journalists like Amal Khalil and use our tax dollars to commit war crimes," said Tlaib.

At that point, Miller apparently made the grave error of responding.

"Its members are butchers that you like to hang out with to a certain extent," charged Miller. "Yes, you advocate for terrorists on a daily basis. You advocate for a terrorist regime every single day."

Witnesses say the Capitol immediately entered DEFCON 1 after a Republican criticized a Democrat too directly.

Tlaib reportedly shouted across the chamber, though congressional stenographers were unable to translate the remarks because they were delivered at the frequency usually associated with malfunctioning smoke detectors.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Are we getting a little emotional?" chided Miller.

Congressional sources confirmed this sentence caused more destruction to the institution than the national debt, insider trading, and 40 years of continuing resolutions combined.

Rep. Jay Obernolte (R-CA) desperately attempted to restore order before the House descended into full therapy session.

"Colleagues, this is a serious topic. We will debate it respectfully and deliberately," admonished Obernolte.

Tlaib then invoked the sacred congressional ritual known as "words taken down," a process originally created so lawmakers could survive exposure to opposing opinions.

"Yes, Mr. Speaker, I am. That is a direct attack on my character. I please request to strike the words down," said Tlaib.

The House immediately suspended all legislative activity while officials launched an emergency investigation into whether anyone’s feelings had been insufficiently validated.

For nearly an hour, Congress halted debate, amendments, and votes to determine whether Miller’s remarks violated the chamber’s strict rules prohibiting members from saying what everyone just heard them say.

Eventually, Obernolte ruled against Miller.

"The words of the gentleman from Ohio contain an allegation that the gentlewoman from Michigan is a ‘butcher’ and affiliated with a terrorist organization," said Obernolte. "Such remarks impugn the patriotism and loyalty of the member of the House."

The ruling effectively sentenced Miller to congressional solitary confinement for the remainder of the day, though lawmakers noted that punishment still falls short of forcing him to watch MSNBC.

But Republicans were not backing down.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast (R-FL) delivered a message from Miller after House leadership confiscated his speaking privileges like a middle-school principal taking away a vape pen.

"‘Yes, I said it. I own it. And I stand by it,’" Mast declared.

Mast then attempted to enter articles regarding Tlaib’s alleged associations into the congressional record, but Tlaib objected faster than CNN fact-checkers during a Trump speech.

Meanwhile, lawmakers also discussed whether artificial intelligence could someday referee congressional disputes.

"AI is actually very good at this," said Obernolte. "You give it a rules manual and then you give it a specific instance and say ‘Is this in compliance with rules or is this a violation of the rules?’"

Experts agreed Congress would likely embrace AI immediately once they discovered it could automatically censor Republicans without requiring overtime from parliamentary staff.

At press time, House Democrats were reportedly drafting new rules prohibiting "microaggressions," "hostile eye contact," and "excessive disagreement."

GOP-er Tony Gonzales will retire from Congress: admits the affair with aide

Well, folks, strap in because the swamp is serving up another double helping of congressional sleaze today, and the timing is almost too perfect to be accidental.

Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) announced Monday that he plans to file his retirement from Congress on Tuesday after admitting to an affair with a former staffer who committed suicide last year.

“There is a season for everything and God has a plan for us all. When Congress returns tomorrow, I will file my retirement from office. It has been my privilege to serve the great people of Texas,” Gonzales posted on X, invoking his intimate relationship with G_d.

This mini bombshell dropped about an hour after Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) said he’d be stepping down over his own sex scandal. These bipartisan scumcrumpets should walk away holding hands as they walk toward the sunset with their women folk.

Back in early March, Gonzales had already dropped his re-election bid in Texas’s 23rd Congressional District after getting dragged into a runoff by feisty GOP challenger Brandon Herrera. He’d also been catching heat from fellow Republicans who were loudly suggesting he might want to consider resigning his seat.

Those calls got a lot louder once Gonzales owned up to the affair with former staffer Regina Santos-Aviles, a 35-year-old married mother who, according to the fire department, “doused herself in gasoline and was ignited into flames” in the backyard of her Uvalde, Texas home.

Conservative media The Daily Wire had reported that Gonzales claimed the affair wrapped up in the summer of 2024, more than a year before Santos-Aviles took her own life. But those text messages the San Antonio Express-News published back in February painted a rather uncomfortable picture, with Gonzales apparently making some very direct sexual requests to the woman who worked for him.

Let's face it, politicians behaving badly is hardly breaking news, but when it ends in tragedy and then gets wrapped up in a neat little “God has a plan” bow, it’s enough to make even the most jaded observer roll their eyes.

The voters in Texas-23 deserved better. Hell, the staffers who have to work in these offices deserve better. And the taxpayers footing the bill for all of it are the ones who really get screwed every single time.

Another day, another reminder that power attracts exactly the kind of people you wouldn’t want babysitting your kids. Enjoy your retirement, Congressman. Try not to set anything else on fire on the way out.

Unrelenting Trump critic says why he was wrong to eliminate the bushy bearded, now dead guy and his pals in Iran

Chennai, India-born Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) attacked President Donald J. Trump's decision to attack and quickly eliminate the bushy-bearded Shi'a cleric and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with other Islamic Republic Guard Corps (the 's' is silent) in Iran.

"Trump killed the religious and spiritual leader of Iran," Rep. Jayapal said, carefully leaving out the President's title. "He seemed nice with his cute hat and bushy beard. I don't understand why Trump had him eliminated."

The congresswoman defended her Iran War Powers vote:  "Congress alone has power to declare war," warning of long-term consequences and adding it "shouldn’t be partisan."

The last time Congress formally declared war was on June 4, 1942 and Jayapal asked, "Isn't it about time Congress did again? We do so little during the year it's about time we earned our money legally."

Since the United States was formed back in 1776, Congress has formally declared war 11 times across five conflicts since the Constitution adoption in 1789:
War of 1812: Great Britain (1812)
Mexican-American War: Mexico (1846)
Spanish-American War: Spain (1898)
World War I: Germany (1917) and Austria-Hungary (1917)
World War II: Japan (1941), Germany (1941), Italy (1941), and Bulgaria/Hungary/Romania (1942)

The House voted on a Democrat-led Iran War Powers Resolution designed to limit President Trump's  [aka The Commander-in-Chief] military authority in Tehran. This brings to the forefront once again, the issue over executive powers and what level a president must consult with the loose-lips of members of Congress before waging military strikes.

If passed, Trump would have to end the use of U.S. troops against Iran and thus allow the regime to continue killing Iranian civilians, as it currently appears to be the case.

Republicans, meanwhile, maintain that the White House is acting within its authority in the best interests of the country and of the remaining Iranian people who have not been killed for protesting the theocratic dictatorship they live under.

And while Jayapal is consistent in her efforts to give Congress the power that Commanders-in-Chief had in the past, others like Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) supported former President Joe Biden's attack on Syria.

For those keeping score, here is a short list by Grok of past presidents who bypassed Congress to use military force:

Harry S. Truman (1945–1953): Korean War (1950–1953) — Truman committed US troops under UN auspices to repel North Korea's invasion of South Korea, without a declaration of war (often called a "police action").
Lyndon B. Johnson (1963–1969) and Richard Nixon (1969–1974): Vietnam War escalation (major US combat from 1965–1973) — Johnson used the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution (1964) as authorization to deploy hundreds of thousands of troops; combat continued under Nixon.
Ronald Reagan (1981–1989): Invasion of Grenada (1983, Operation Urgent Fury) — Troops deployed to restore order and protect US citizens after a coup.
George H.W. Bush (1989–1993): Invasion of Panama (1989, Operation Just Cause) — Troops sent to depose Manuel Noriega and protect US interests. Also initiated Operation Desert Shield/Storm (1990–1991 Gulf War) — Large-scale deployment to liberate Kuwait from Iraq, authorized by Congress and UN.
Bill Clinton (1993–2001): Interventions in Somalia (ongoing from Bush era but combat under Clinton), Haiti (1994, Operation Uphold Democracy), Bosnia (1995 NATO bombing/air campaign), and Kosovo (1999 NATO bombing campaign) — US forces engaged in combat roles, often under NATO/UN frameworks without new congressional war declarations.
George W. Bush (2001–2009): War in Afghanistan (2001–2021, Operation Enduring Freedom) — Invasion to oust Taliban and pursue al-Qaeda post-9/11, authorized by 2001 AUMF. Iraq War (2003–2011, Operation Iraqi Freedom) — Invasion to remove Saddam Hussein, authorized by 2002 AUMF.
Barack Obama (2009–2017): Escalated drone strikes and special operations in multiple countries; 2011 Libya intervention (NATO-led air campaign with US combat role); expanded operations against ISIS in Iraq/Syria (2014 onward, under 2001 AUMF).
Other presidents (e.g., Eisenhower, Kennedy, Ford, Carter, Biden) authorized combat in limited contexts (e.g., Lebanon 1958/1982–1983 under Eisenhower/Reagan, or ongoing counterterrorism under Biden), but often smaller-scale or continuations of prior conflicts.

None of them asked for permission.

So there you have it--hypocrisy on the Hill.

Racist House Dem thinks all pimps are black: wants Lauren Boebert censured for a comment about Al Green's cane

Rep. Houlahan

Rep[ulsive] Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) thinks that Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert's (CO) comment about Rep. Al Green (Dummy-TX) is racist because Boebert referred to Green's cane as a "pimp cane," in a TV interview, which it does indeed resemble.

As you may know, Green continuously heckled President Donald Trump during his first address to the nation last week, until House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) had the Sergeant at Arms remove the screaming lunatic from the chamber. Yes, Green shook his cane and his demeanor was reminiscent of a guy who just stepped out of his tent only to discover someone had stolen his "Two Buck Chuck" wine.

In the March 7 interview with Real America's Voice News, Rep. Boebert said, referring to his behavior during Trump's speech that "Al Green was given multiple opportunities to stand down, to sit down, to behave, to show decorum."

"For him to go and shake his pimp cane at President Trump was absolutely abhorrent," Boebert added.

That was it for Houlahan. Using the trigger word "pimp" for her implies a black man in a loud, oversized, purple suit, wide-brim fedora with a feather, satin button-ups, with an open shirt to show his chest hair, heavy gold chain, pinky ring and yes, a cane.

So who's the racist?

Houlahan submitted a resolution Monday calling to censure Boebert "for her recent disparaging and derogatory comments" about Green.

If you would like to support my work, you can Buy Me A Coffee or subscribe to Brain Flushings. Thank you.

The resolution said those words uttered by Boebert "are disparaging, derogatory, and racist toward another colleague, and are a breach of proper conduct and decorum of the U.S. House of Representatives."

Really?

Sounds like a pot-kettle thing.

The Squad, Reparations, and Insanity

The specter of reparations has once again haunted the halls of Congress, this time with a renewed vigor under President Donald Trump's second term. The idea, which one might generously call "progressive", has been resurrected by the far-left members of the legislative body, now that the original torchbearer, the late Sheila Jackson Lee, has passed on.

The mantle has been taken up by none other than Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who has decided to push this agenda during Black History Month, no less. She claims it's a direct response to what she sees as an "unprecedented onslaught against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives from the Trump Administration." She's joined by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) in the Senate with the reintroduction of HR40, aiming to "establish a federal commission to examine the lasting legacy of slavery and develop reparations proposals for African American descendants of enslaved people."

Pressley's press release paints the bill as a counter-narrative to Trump's policies, suggesting it's "a powerful counterweight to the harmful actions taken by Donald Trump and a call to action for America to address the systemic oppression of Black people throughout its history."

One might wonder if these DEI practices aren't doing more harm than good by reducing individuals to mere categories of race or gender rather than recognizing merit.

Pressley doesn't shy away from attacking Trump, saying, "What we’re seeing from the Trump Administration and their allies in Congress and the courts is a coordinated, years-long effort to dismantle any policy that uplifts Black folks and addresses America’s shameful history of systemic racism. It is anti-Blackness on steroids and we’re not backing down in our pursuit of healing and reparatory justice."

She continues, "H.R. 40 is a powerful reminder of the work that remains and offers us a pathway toward truth, reconciliation, and accountability for the deep, structural injustices that continue to ravage Black communities to this day. I am grateful to Senator Booker for his ongoing partnership and I am deeply honored to follow in the footsteps of my mentor and friend, the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, in introducing this deeply necessary and overdue legislation."

The co-sponsor in the House, Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA), another Squad member who managed to survive her primary unlike some of her colleagues, adds her voice to the chorus. Her statement could be straight out of the 1619 Project, claiming, "The America we know today was built on the brutal enslavement and trafficking of stolen Africans forced to build this country on their literal backs. Despite what Trump and his anti-diversity, anti-equity, and anti-inclusion cronies want you to believe, this is American history. Our government – no matter who is in power – has an obligation to right these wrongs. If we are to truly address the racial and economic injustices rooted in this country, Congress must pass HR 40."

At the press conference, Lee was unambiguous, "Our government – no matter who is in power – has an obligation to right these wrongs, to provide reparations for descendants of enslaved Africans, to eliminate the racial wealth gap, to uplift the black community." With Pressley nodding in agreement, she continued her critique of Trump and the Republicans, "White supremacy is rampant in this country. Just look at the current administration and our own legislative body. They have contributed to the social and economic harms, to the racial terror black folks have experienced in this country. Now, more than ever, we must acknowledge and repair those harms!"

The rhetoric is as fiery as ever, but one must ask, is this the path to healing, or merely another divisive political maneuver draped in the garb of social justice?

Jaw-dropping how much Congress spent illegally on programs

Chow Yuck Chuck

Our beloved Congress has spent no less than $516,000,000,000 on programs without authorization in 2024. That means they spent your tax money illegally and you can't blame this on Trump. A gut-wrenching report by the Congressional Budget Office clearly emphasizes why the Left is attacking President Trump's right to audit payments by the Treasury Department, a government department over which he has significant authority.

For example, the President appoints the Secretary of the Treasury, while there is a balance by legislative and administrative checks. The President can direct the Department's policy through executive orders and set priorities, or influence fiscal policy, especially issues like taxation, debt management and current policy, and through the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) can propose the federal budget to Congress. However, Congress holds the "power of the purse," and has to approve all expenditures.

In a report titled "Expired and Expiring Authorizations of Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2024," the CBO observes: "Historically, House and Senate rules restrict lawmakers from considering an appropriation if it lacks a current authorization." Nevertheless, "CBO estimates that $516 billion was appropriated for 2024 for activities with expired authorizations, which the agency identified for each House and Senate authorizing committee and appropriations subcommittee." That $516 billion in illegal payments cover "1,264 authorizations of appropriations that expired before the beginning of fiscal year 2024 and 251 authorizations of appropriations that were set to expire by the end of fiscal year 2024." The legal authority for some of these payments expired 40 years ago!

The data shows that Congress has created a shadow funding stream for their pet projects where senior members can shovel money in pork-filled spending packages under the pretense of preventing a government shutdown.

The money is paid despite there being no legal authority for the disbursement. This is akin to embezzlement but on a more gargantuan scale. If you and I did this, we'd to to prison for years. When congresspeople do it, they get reelected for years.

Making this all the more intriguing is that it would seem that President Trump could stop those illegal payments without worrying about violating the Impoundment Control Act, simply because they're illegal according to Congress' own rules.

This is why they're having accidents in their skivvies, because when DOGE delves deeper into this, there's gonna be a lot more illegal stuff they're gonna find.

Netanyahu's Congressional Address that Houri Harris and Nancy Pelosi Boycotted

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu addressed Congress Wednesday delivering a powerful defense of the Jewish State in the Gaza war. There were the usual suspects on the left side of the aisle, such as Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) who has a history of praising Hamas and Jew haters from all walks of life. She was in attendance and brought her ping-pong paddle to use as a sign to protest Bibi and the existence of Israel, but that didn't phase him in any way.

Alleged President Biden and Vice President and comrade Kamala Harris boycotted the event, as did Nancy "Dancing Dentures" Pelosi, and comrade Bernie Sanders.

Bibi emphasized the US-Israel alliance, thanked both Biden and Trump for their support to Israel, and referred to the protesters as "useful idiots."

He compared the October 7 attack by Hamas to Pearl Harbor and 9/11: "Like December 7, 1941, and September 11, 2001, is a day that will forever live in infamy."

She finally admits it: Hamas is guilty of genocide

He condemned the anti-Israel movement and the protesters saying of them: "Many choose to stand with evil. They stand with Hamas. They stand with rapists and murderers.” And while he uttered those words, there were large protests outside the Capitol and scattered around Washington. These useful idiots burned American flags, vandalized statues with pro-Gaza garbage and pro-Hamasshole graffiti, and some protesters were arrested.

“Pro-terror, anti-Israel agitators are vandalizing federal property, removing American flags, and replacing them with Palestinian flags steps away from the United States Capitol,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) said on X. “This is inexcusable, and I expect them to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Bibi said US intelligence shows that Iran is behind the protests and is stoking the tensions by funding the protests. He called for US-Israel unity and compared our Western civilization to the jihadi's: "a clash between barbarism and civilizations. It's a clash between those who glorify death and those who sanctify life."

Of course Bibi spoke about the hostage situation. Hamas originally kidnapped 253 Israelis at the Nova festival. Noa Argamani, who attended the festival became the face of Hamas' barbarism. She attended the Netanyahu address, but in spite of this, Tlaib, as insensitive as a scorpion, showed her solidarity with the terrorists by holding up signs and wearing a keffiyeh, the Hamas scarf.

Finally, Netayahu spoke of how he viewed a post-war Gaza. "The day after we defeat Hamas, a new Gaza can emerge. My vision for that day is of a demilitarized and deradicalized Gaza. Israel does not seek to resettle Gaza. But for the foreseeable future, we must retain overriding security control there to prevent the resurgence of terror, to ensure that Gaza never again poses a threat to Israel. Gaza should have a civilian administration run by Palestinians who do not seek to destroy Israel. That's not too much to ask."

It was later discovered that some pro-Hamas protesters released bugs and pulled fire alarms to interrupt Netanyahu's hotel stay.

They simply cannot suck enough.

Somali congresswoman proclaims her allegiance to Somalia: DeSantis calls for her expulsion from Congress and more

Somali--born and notable anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) made it clear where her allegiances lie: with Somalia.

The congresswoman, who illegally married her brother in order for him to attain U.S. citizenship spoke on January 27th in a speech that went viral. She assured her Somali constituents that she would use her office in Congress to ensure the breakaway Republic of Somaliland would not enter a sea-access deal with Ethiopia. She spoke in her native language, perhaps thinking that nobody who would oppose her oath of office violation would understand it or have it translated, but she was mistaken.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday called for Omar's expulsion from Congress, and to have her U.S. citizenship revoked. Then he wants to see her deported back to her country where her heart obviously lies.

In terms of the law, it would be very difficult to strip her of her U.S. citizenship and have her deported, but she could and should be booted off the Hill due to her violation of her oath to the U.S. Constitution.

A translation of the video clip shown by DeSantis show Omar telling the crowd: "The U.S. is a country where one of your daughters is in Congress to represent your interest."

Actually, her duty is to represent the interests of U.S. citizens, particularly those she directly represents--that's why they call them 'representatives.'

"For as long as I am in the U.S. Congress, Somalia will never be in danger, its waters will not be stolen by Ethiopia or others … Sleep in comfort, knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the U.S. system."

What the actual eff? Her loyalty is misplaced and DeSantis tweeted on Tuesday:
"Expel from Congress, denaturalize and deport!"

As predicted, the brother-marrying, campaign manager marrying, Jew-hating, Somalia-loving, Squad member attacked the attackers on the right. She criticized the unbiased translation of her remarks saying that they were "not only slanted but completely off." Perhaps someone paid the translators the "Benjamins" to have it their way, she must be saying.

"[B]ut I wouldn’t expect more from these propagandists. I pray for them and for their sanity," she tweeted.

The only thing she prays for is death to Israel and the Jews, and for her homeland where she belongs.

And it ain't the USA.

She is a garbage U.S. Representative and a garbage human being.

George Santos claims Delta AL transports undocumented migrants: balderdash!

George Karen Santos

Disgraced former NY Congressional Liar, George Santos, one of the few, the proud, the expelled from office, freaked out after a "nightmare" experience with Delta Air Lines.

Santos is only the sixth member in American history to be expelled from the House of Representatives on December 1st. He has also been accused of lying about his campaign finances and defrauding donors, which he claims is a lie, which is his area of expertise.

The fraud posted a rant on social media Friday where he pouted over Delta's boarding process, calling out CEO Ed Bastian over unfounded claims of the airline transporting undocumented migrants [aka illegal aliens].

While he claimed to being a “big Delta guy” over the years, dishonest former congressperson said that “people are literally with no name, no ID is printed and allowed on their boarding pass.” The only proof he offered was his word as a former disgraced congressperson who had claimed to be Jewish; a star volleyball player; a grandson of a Holocaust survivor; a Catholic; allegedly used campaign donor money to pay for personal travel and Botox; allegedly lied to collect unemployment benefits; allegedly committed identity theft; lied to Congress regarding his assets; and allegedly paid himself for loans he never made. This is probably the tip of the iceberg because we also know he lied about where he attended school, so take what he says about Delta Air Lines with a case of salt.

“Meanwhile because my name is long — George Anthony Devolder Santos — that God forbid it’s not in the format on how I registered my Sky Miles, and it’s just ‘George Santos,’ it becomes a mismatch. It’s a nightmare,” the self-described frequent flyer claimed.

Santos blasted Bastian, whom he said he previously considered to be “a pretty good CEO.”

He demanded answers from Bastian in his social media rant about his “nightmare” experience with the airline. Nobody wants this delicate flower to feel unsafe nor experience horrible nightmares--he just might wet the bed.

“What gives, Ed? You have a very good reputation as one of the airline CEOs but this is bulls–t,” he pouted. “How about you tell us how many people have you transported under this no name, no ID given?”

Next he had a hissy fit against his former GOP colleague, New York Rep. Anthony D’Esposito.

“Hey, Anthony D’Esposito — how about you do something you meatball? You sit on the T an I [Transportation and Infrastructure Committee],” the disgraced liar said. “Like what the f–k are you people doing? What’s the point of having a committee assignment if you’re not going to do anything?”

Boo boo Georgie. Just because D'Esposito called for your resignation to avoid the embarrassment of being an historical loser, is no reason to attack him.

Why not go quietly and take Claudine Gay with you.

George Santos wants plea deal before corruption trial as he would feel unsafe in prison

Since George Santos (R-NY) got booted out of Congress for his chronic fraudulent, unethical behavior, he now hopes to make a plea deal to keep his lying butt out of prison.

The liar who is charged with unauthorized donor credit card charges, stolen identities of donors, lying to the Federal Election Commission, illegally receiving unemployment benefits, laundering money, and inflating his campaign's financial statements has been negotiating with Eastern District of New York prosecutors involved in the 23-count indictment he faces, according to court records.

“The parties are presently engaged in plea negotiations with the goal of resolving this matter without the need for a trial,” government lawyers wrote in a Monday court filing ahead of a Tuesday morning pretrial status conference — where the disgraced Santos is expected to appear in person.

The lying former lawmaker is facing more than 22 years in prison for the allegations he faces.

Santos, 35, has publicly expressed his scared feces-less about getting thrown behind bars where he would likely be the go-to guy in the showers should he drop the soap.

“I think everybody should be afraid of going to jail. It’s not a pretty place. I definitely want to work very hard to avoid that,” he told CBS New York’s “The Point” Sunday.

“I’m going to negotiate the best I can,” the delicate flower said.

Santos indicated he would be amenable to community service or some sort of plea deal that would spare him prison time. He would even be willing to taking in wash, sweeping floors, doing dishes, and attending protests no matter the cause.

Funny how things have changed since September when he told reporters,  “I will not take a plea deal” and vowed “I can prove my innocence.”

Let him prove it in court.

The scumcrumpet even attempted to throw his former campaign treasurer, Nancy Marks, under the bus after she pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in October. [H/T NY Post.]

A former Santos fundraiser, Samuel Miele, has also pleaded guilty to federal charges.

Santos, who on Dec. 1 became only the sixth-ever House member to be expelled, is scheduled to stand trial September 9, 2024, but prosecutors have attempted to move up the trial date to May or June.

Never one to avoid scamming the naive, Santos made a load of money on Cameo, a video-sharing platform in which celebrities film messages requested by peons of society. He basically gives them "pep-talks" but now seems to need one himself.

A little more about the guy.

He was raised Catholic but at times lied about being Jewish, then after being found out about that lie claimed to be "Jew-ish." Kinda sorta like a Jew. He also claimed to be "half Jewish;" a non-observant Jew; "a proud American Jew;" but he isn't.

In 2019 and 2020 he claimed that as a child he attended the Horace Mann School, an elite preparatory school in the Bronx, but had to withdraw due to family hardship. The school had no record of him ever attending so Santos then claimed he attended ninth grade there for only six months and claimed that he used one of his other names [or aliases, in his case]. The school then said there was no record of any student attending classes there at that time frame using any of the names the fraudster gave.

Santos lied about holding a bachelor's degree in finance and economics from Baruch College and graduated in the top percentile of his [make-believe] class with a 3.89 GPA. Unfortunately for him and his credibility, this claim of that time period clashed with his time in Brazil.

Earlier this year, Nassau County Republican Chairman Joe Cairo, said at a press conference that Santos told him that he was a "star player" on the Baruch volleyball team, and had won the league championship. He went on a pre-election radio interview where he claimed that his volleyball career led him to needing both knees replaced, but later admitted to lying about graduating from any college.

So his masters degree in business administration from NYU and his score of 710 on the Graduate Management Admission Test was a fantasy too, as was his lie about having to pay off student loans by 2020.

And there are more lies by the digital ink in my computer is getting low.

Suffice it to say, whether found guilty or not guilty in court, if George Santos was an inanimate thing, he would be a cesspool proudly overflowing with, you know, stuff.

Harvard president suddenly feels "regret" for her testimony before Congress

Harvard President Claudine Gay testified before Congress Tuesday and now feels sorry for the blowback she's gotten after anti-Semitic remarks she made on antisemitism. [H/T Fox News]

"I am sorry. Words matter." the obvious anti-Semite said in an interview with The Harvard Crimson on Thursday regarding her testimony.

"When words amplify distress and pain, I don’t know how you could feel anything but regret," she said, in an attempt to keep her job.

On Tuesday, Gay sat before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce to discuss antisemitism and threats against Jewish students on Harvard’s campus. She, like her two colleague clowns from MIT and UPenn, refused to say that the genocidal chants and threats students made against Jews should be considered harassment because of "context," and for some reason she now claims to be sorry.

During an exchange with Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), she was asked whether calling for the genocide of Jews on campus violates the university’s codes of conduct related to bullying and harassment.

Gay said it would depend on the "context" of the incident. That is, if the harassment happened to be against black, Muslims, LGBTQ, or other "disenfranchised" groups, then yes, it would be harassment and should result in serious consequences for the perpetrators. But in this case, it's about those, you know, the Jews. They think they're so great with their Albert Einstein and Ruth Bader Ginsberg, but they're not.

When asked to give a yes or no answer, Gay said antisemitic speech could warrant action from Harvard if the conduct crosses into bullying, harassment and intimidation.

Stefanik again pressed Gay to provide a simple yes or no response.

"Again, it depends on the context," Gay said.

Rep. Stefanik said on Fox News' "Faulkner Focus" Wednesday that she was "shaken" after the three stooges who refused to state that calling for Jewish genocide would violate their respective university codes of conduct.
ELISE STEFANIK: I've been in a number of very high-profile congressional hearings over the years and the pathetic moral depravity on display by the witnesses, the three university presidents from Harvard, M.I.T and Penn. I've never witnessed anything like that. And I asked the question in such a way that it was easy. Yes, that calling for the genocide of Jews, in fact, does violate their policies and code of conduct when it comes to bullying and harassment. And their answers were pathetic. I was so shaken and what was probably the most tragic aspect of the hearing to me was there were a number of Jewish students from those schools in the audience sitting behind them. And to watch just the fear as they're listening to the presidents of these universities fail to answer a basic question of moral clarity. It was abysmal. They don't deserve the dignity of resigning. They need to be fired.
Following the well-deserved blasting Gay received on social media, she tried convincing us that some had "confused" a right to free expression with the notion that Harvard condones "calls for violence against Jewish students."

"Let me be clear: Calls for violence or genocide against the Jewish community, or any religious or ethnic group are vile, they have no place at Harvard, and those who threaten our Jewish students will be held to account," she blathered.

Gay further clarified her comments during her interview with the Crimson.

"I got caught up in what had become at that point, an extended, combative exchange about policies and procedures," Gay said. "What I should have had the presence of mind to do in that moment was return to my guiding truth, which is that calls for violence against our Jewish community — threats to our Jewish students — have no place at Harvard and will never go unchallenged. Substantively, I failed to convey what is my truth."

Whenever anyone uses the words 'my truth,' they are lying by implying their beliefs comport with reality. People use that term to absolve themselves of wrongdoing. There is only 'truth,' and it doesn't belong to anyone--it's fact.

All of three presidents who testified on Capitol Hill, and all others who refuse to hold those students who hate and make threats of genocide, need to be fired.

Georgie Santos vows to file 'sour grapes' ethics complaint against several lawmakers after he got the boot

Former Rep. George Santos (R-NY) had a hissy-fit on X and vowed to file a number of ethics complaints next week against several of his former colleagues. This comes just hours after the lying former congressman was kicked out of the House of Representatives.

On Friday night the ex-congressman went on social media and said he would be filing ethics complaints Monday against four House members: Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), Mike Lawler (R-NY). Nick LaLota (R-NY) and the son of Bob Menendez, Rob Menendez (D-NJ). Santos alleges they committed campaign finance violations (as he is alleged to have committed), stock trading, and other sundry alleged ethics violations.

Santos was expelled from the House by a vote 311-114. He has not yet been convicted of a crime, but there is a boatload of evidence and he has been indicted on 23 counts related to wire fraud, identity theft, falsification of records, credit card fraud, and he even is accused of using campaign funds to purchase luxury goods and botox treatments.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Still, he has not yet gone to trial but it looks as if Congress is fed up with him and his lies.

As for the complaint against Malliotakis, Santos said it will prioritize "her questionable stock trading since joining the Ways and Means committee this Congress."

"Let’s talk about hypocrisy. Can someone ask Nicole MalioStockTips when did she become a savant in stock trading?" Santos wrote in a post on X.

"The signature bank trades she did REEKS of insider trading much like Paul Pelosi’s every trade!" he added, referring to the husband of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, (D-CA).

"Before joining the committee the congresswoman didn’t have an active trading habit or a high volume stake," Santos continued in remarks about Malliotakis. "The question is, what set of information is she trading with?"

The complaint against Lawler, according to Santos, deals with the congressman "engaging in laundering money" by funneling campaign funds through a company he owns stake in. Lawler was closely involved in the resolution process to get Santos out of the House.

"The concerning questions are; is Mr Lawler engaging in laundering money from his campaign to his firm then into his own pocket?" Santos wrote in one post. "I will let the Office of Congressional Ethics be the judge of that."

As for LaLota, Santos questioned whether the Empire State lawmaker was a "no-show" at his local board of elections position during his tenure in law school. Of course LaLota was paramount in writing the resolution that finally got Santos booted from the Hill, so there seems to be a bunch of sour grapes involved in the attack.

"Did Rep Lalota no-show to his tax pay funded job while going to school and if so he can potential have stolen public funds form the tax payers of NY," Santos wrote in another post. "I will let the Office of Congressional Ethics determine the validity of this grave allegation raised in his local media."

Will Kiley, a LoLota spokesperson, told The Hill that Santos "is just mad the congressman has three actual degrees, while he lied about one."

George Santos in drag

Santos also called into question Rob Menendez's relationship with his father, Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), who has been federally charged for allegedly participating in a bribery scheme. Santos specifically raised concerns over what Menendez may have known about his father's crimes, asking "what did he know and when did he know it."

"I think it’s a fair point to make sure we weed out the doubt surrounding Rep. Menendez and his business associations with his father," Santos added.

In a statement to The Hill, Menendez spokesman Michael Zhadanovsky poo-pooed Santos' threat.

"George Santos is neither Rep. Menendez’s colleague nor a constituent, so we will not expend any energy responding to his Botox-fueled fits of rage," Zhadanovsky said.

The House's vote against Santos made him the first House lawmaker to be expelled in more than 20 years and the first gay Republican to get the boot.

Expelling a member of Congress takes a two-thirds majority vote.

House GOP file resolution to expel lying George Santos from Congress

House Republicans from New York have made it official--they've filed a privileged resolution on Thursday to kick Rep. George Santos (R-NY) out of Congress.

The resolution was introduced by Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY) and co-sponsored by New York Republican Reps. Brandon Williams, Nick LaLota and Marc Molinaro.

This drastic move came following a number of scandals involving Santos in which, for example, he allegedly lied to voters about his personal life and background, and was also indicted for several federal offenses in May and charge with additional crimes earlier this month.

The guy even lied about his college education [or lack thereof].

"Today on the House floor, I introduced a privileged resolution to expel George Santos from Congress," D’Esposito said in a statement after introducing the resolution.

"While George Santos is entitled to his day in court to plead his innocence, the people of New York's 3rd Congressional District deserve a representative who is solely focused on serving the public and not spending the majority of their time combating 23 federal charges such as wire fraud, money laundering and theft of public funds," he continued. "We must remove this conman from Congress."

Amen.

The resolution was first announced on Oct. 11 — one day after the latest slate of federal charges against Santos were announced — but the action Thursday paves the way for the House to hold a floor vote on it within two legislative days.

In response to D’Esposito's action, Santos said he was entitled to due process, which is actually true.

"Three points of clarification: 1. I have not cleared out my office. 2. I’m not resigning. 3. I’m entitled to due process and not a predetermined outcome as some are seeking. God bless!" lying Santos tweeted.

"As alleged, Santos is charged with stealing people’s identities and making charges on his own donors’ credit cards without their authorization, lying to the FEC and, by extension, the public about the financial state of his campaign," U.S. Attorney Breon Peace said in a statement in May.

"Santos falsely inflated the campaign’s reported receipts with non-existent loans and contributions that were either fabricated or stolen. This Office will relentlessly pursue criminal charges against anyone who uses the electoral process as an opportunity to defraud the public and our government institutions."

So maybe he should not only be booted from Congress. Maybe he needs to get his toothbrush ready and packed for a stint in the clink.

Lying Dem Rep. said GOP tried to "provide themselves with a pay raise"

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) may not be the prettiest lawmaker to grace the halls of Congress, but she is one of the Democrats' biggest liars. She accused House Republicans on Saturday of trying to "provide themselves with a pay raise" as she objected to a stopgap spending bill which she eventually voted for as there is nothing she really stands for other than the freedom to look like an old woke hippy fool.

DeLauro said that the "many changes" between what was originally offered in the bill and the version that was offered in the Senate, showed a pay increase for those serving in Congress, and blamed the GOP for that.

"Here is one that I believe the majority will not mention," the lovely DeLauro said. "They amend the Senate bill to give themselves a pay raise. A pay raise. It's there. You can look at me, you can smile but what you did was you amended the Senate bill to give yourselves a pay raise."

DeLauro's claim was met with immediate pushback from House Republicans, who shouted her down, yelling "That's false."

Which of course, it is.

So she took to social media, hoping to get lots of positive feedback when she wrote: "The Member Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) automatically takes effect unless it is blocked. The Senate blocked this in their CR. The House GOP CR does not.

"News flash: a COLA is a pay increase for Members of Congress."

Rep. Austin Scott, R-Ga., later took issue with DeLauro's statement, claiming it was "simply not true" and an "excuse" not to vote in favor of the measure.

Rep. Austin Scott (R-CA)

Disproving DeLauro's claim, and proving she either doesn't know the law or is a liar, Scott read aloud the 27th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which states: "No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened."

"You need to know who's telling you the truth and who's not telling you the truth," Scott said. "Recently, you heard my colleague from Connecticut tell you that the Republican bill has a pay raise for members in Congress. It's simply not true, and if it did, it would be unconstitutional. And if the Senate bill changes the compensation for members of Congress, then it, too, is unconstitutional.

"They are simply grasping at straws. They have intended to shut down the government from the start," Scott added. "Disregard totally what you're hearing from the other side. They are grasping at straws, making excuses and telling flat-out lies about member compensation as an excuse to vote against this piece of legislation."

Democrats lying? Wow, who would have ever thought that?

Everyone who is not a Democrat.

The House later voted to pass a short-term spending bill, as usual, and moved to avoid a government shutdown if the Senate approves the measure. If expedited there, Congress could avoid a shutdown by a hair.

It's just the lies, more lies and damn lies that are annoying.

Biden willing to have Americans die fighting for Ukraine: calls up reservists

Biden and his handler(s) are willing to put American military in harm's way in the Ukraine-Russia war after the barely sentient President issued an executive order that authorizes the Pentagon to call up reservists to active duty “for the effective conduct” of U.S. military support to Ukraine.

At the same time, the Pentagon designated the U.S. military support to Ukraine since 2014 under Operation Atlantic Resolve a “contingency operation.”

Biden, or more probably his handler, wrote in a message to Congress:
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 121 and 12304 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation Atlantic Resolve in and around the United States European Command’s area of responsibility.
The Operation Atlantic Resolve mission was created to bolster the U.S. military presence in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and annexation of Crimea.

"Biden's" message stated that he authorized the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Homeland Security with respect to the Coast Guard, to order to active duty any units or individuals not assigned to a unit. He claimed the number of troops would not exceed 3.000 total members at any one time, and no more than 450 Individual Ready Reserve members.

Pentagon officials said no troops would be deployed for combat to Ukraine, but don't put money on it.

Army Lieutenant General D.A. Sims, the Joint Staff J3 director of operations, told reporters:
Based on the level of presence and operations in the U.S. [European Command] area of operations, DOD’s support requirements have grown, as well. These authorities will enable the department to better support and sustain its enhanced presence and level of operations in the U.S. EUCOM [area of responsibility].
He also said the moves reaffirm “the unwavering support and commitment to the defense of NATO’s eastern flank in wake of Russia’s illegal and unprovoked war on Ukraine.”

Pentagon Press Secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said declaring Operation Atlantic Resolve a contingency operation “unlocks capabilities and authorities that…enables us to provide better support and sustain our forces. So this includes things like increased contracting responsiveness, personnel-related entitlements that — that give activated reservists the same benefits as active component personnel.”

So if the proverbial crap hits the fan, don't go blaming conservatives, but blame the Democrats and RINOs.

Biden’s executive order comes just a day after he departed a NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, where NATO members pledged continued support for Ukraine in its war against Russia.

At the summit, Biden declared that the U.S. has “given more than any other nation combined in terms of assistance and cost.”

According to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, the U.S. has given more than $78 billion in government aid since January 24, 2022, including more than $43 billion in military aid.

Biden appointee admits lying under oath but so what--she's a Democrat

Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, has admitted that she lied under oath to Congress, just like Eric Holder did in the Obama-Biden administration. Nothing happened to Holder, nothing will happen to Granholm. So when you hear some moron on the left say "nobody is above the law," you know they're running a power scam.

Granholm claimed she made a mistake when she lied during an April 20th congressional hearing. Ironically, April 20th is Adolf Hitler's birthday, and Granholm, well, never mind. She made the admission in a letter she sent Friday about the claim that she didn't own any individual stocks. She does, and she owned shares in six companies that she evidently forgot about when she lied.

Her lie was meant to go along with her testimony she gave during her confirmation hearing in 2021 whereby she lied saying she divested from stocks that could conflict with her future work, just like Nancy Pelosi and most congressional folks do.

“As you know, as part of the confirmation process before this Committee, in 2021 I divested from assets that could be in conflict with my official duties,” Granholm wrote in the lying letter obtained by Fox News Digital. “I did, however, retain assets that were determined by Government ethics officials to not conflict with my official duties.”

“I mistakenly told the Committee that I did not own any individual stocks, whereas I should have said that I did not own any conflicting stocks. In order to make my financial holdings consistent with my testimony, on May 18, 2023, I divested my remaining stock holdings which consisted of stock in six companies, even though these assets were deemed non-conflicting,” she continued in her lies.

For context, lying to Congress is a federal crime that could carry a punishment as harsh as a sneer and wagging of fingers, and Granholm is admitting to the crime of lying in her letter.

But at least she admitted that she's a damn liar--Biden and Adam Schiff never do.

Will a Black, Jewish Republican Woman Replace George Santos if he resigns?

It's obvious that the newly-elected Rep. George Santos (R-NY) simply cannot stop lying about everything, even about things that seem mundane. He completed his second week in Congress last week and the GOP is not happy about having him in office--he makes them look bad.

Santos has portrayed himself as a high school grad, a college grad, a big time businessman, a Jew, a Black gay man, a volleyball champion at a school he never attended, a mother who fell victim to the  9/11 attack, and more.

Although Santos told these lies, he got elected in spite of them. However, there happens to be a Republican in the Great Neck area of Long Island, NY, who actually fits the bill: Mazi Melesa Pilip, a Black Jewish Republican woman who really did overcome the hardships that Santos claimed to have overcome but didn't.

Pilip says she will not discount a run for Congress if Santos accedes for demands to step down and resign like  a man. Santos says he plans to serve the two-year term, possibly because he has no marketable skills other than lying like a cheap trick pretending to be turned on.

Rep. George Santos

“I’m not going to lie to you, people are definitely asking me to run,” she told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in an interview as she drove while shopping for Shabbat. “That doesn’t mean nothing.” In other words, being that this is a double-negative, it does mean something.

Pilip said her journey into American politics was propelled by her experience advocating for fellow Ethiopian immigrants in Israel — where she moved as a child through the Operation Solomon airlift and lived until marrying her American husband — and by her children’s experience with antisemitism in their Long Island schools.

“I am a strong believer, if you see something’s not working well for your community, or for yourself, you have to be involved,” she said. “You can’t just complain from outside.”

The truth is [a foreign word to Santos] he should resign. He lied about his actual qualifications, and that should not be tolerated, and is facing multiple criminal investigations.

According to a tweet by Olivia Beavers of Politico, Pilip is one of two Republicans the Nassau County Party is considering to run for Santos' seat if he resigns. Jack Martins, a state senator, is the other. Both he and Pilip ousted Democrats in their elections.

Pilip said that at this time she is focusing on serving her constituents through the Nassau County legislature. Any decision about replacing Santos, she said, is up to Joseph Cairo, the GOP chairman in Nassau County.

“The only person who can make a decision on who’s going to run will be the chairman,” Pilip said. “Time will show — it’s too early to say anything to be honest. I will continue to serve my residents and I love serving the people. I want to be a voice for the people, and anything I can do to help more people, I will definitely consider it.”

Cairo has not said yet who he would like to run to replace Santos, but two things are clear: He wants Santos to go, and he likes Pilip, a lot.

“Today, on behalf of the Nassau County Republican Committee, I’m calling for his immediate resignation,” Cairo said at the press conference.

I concur.

Comrade de Blasio drops out of Congress race because people know he sucks

Warren Wilhelm Jr., aka comrade Bill de Blasio, dropped out of the race for the 10th Congressional District on Tuesday because he knows that he with his long record of failure, he had as much chance of winning the election as alleged President Biden has of being caught at a Mensa meeting. De Blasio's words: "it's not going to work out."

“I’ve really listened carefully to people and it’s clear to me that when it comes to this congressional district, people are looking for another option. And I respect that,” the former mayor said in a video statement posted to Twitter.

First of all, de Blasio doesn't care about other people's opinions. He does whatever he wants whether it makes sense or not, but particularly when it coincides with his personal communist thinking.

The big idiot also conceded that it’s finally time for him to “leave electoral politics” and “focus on other ways to serve,” because ain't nobody gonna vote for him after he ruined the Big Apple and even disregarded the Covid rules he demanded of others. [This seems to be a problem for many on the Left.]

“Even though this is not going to work out, I hope you know how much I appreciate you and we’re gonna do a lot together to make this city better in the future,” he threatened.

The big jerk dropped out of the race just one day after a poll released by the progressive Working Families Party showed that over half of undecided Democratic voters in the district definitely would not back him in the crowded race, due to his level of sucking at his job. Some said they would vote for mucous if it ran against him.

Even de Blasio's former campaign aide, Lis Smith, described de Blasio as "gross," "unshowered," and not a pleasure to be around.

Smith, a former Pete Buttigieg 2020 campaign advisor, spoke candidly on MSNBC with Nicolle Wallace and she read an excerpt from Smith's new political memoir, "Any Given Tuesday: A Political Love Story." She recounted when she worked for de Blasio up until he fired her over her affair with political beefcake former Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D-NY). Smith wanted to be de Blasio's City Hall press secretary.

The excerpt she read compared the communist former mayor to an "unshowered" college student who thought he was intelligent because "he's read one line of a Communism for Dummies book."

Well, at least de Blasio made the right move for once. Maybe he'll become a basketball net installer, but in spite of his height, he would be better suited as a urinal cake installer instead.

Pelosi gets pushback from Mayra Flores' 10-year-old who Pelosi elbowed

You can see it on the video when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi elbowed the 10-year-old daughter of GOP Rep. Mayra Flores at a photo op swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday. The beauty of it was when the child reclaimed her position for the photo and didn't bat an eye at the old bat.

Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) pointed out the Pelosi push after the video was posted on social media. It clearly shows Flores' daughter being pushed with the Speaker's childishly elbowing the girl and the girl dealing with it like an adult.

“No child should be pushed to the side for a photo op. PERIOD!!” Flores captioned a retweet of the video by conservative actor James Woods.

“I am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her,” she said. “She continued to smile and pose for the picture like a Queen.”

The video shows Pelosi, the wife of convicted DUI driver, Paul Pelosi, as she is standing next to Flores' daughter as she waves to the family's pastor. Pelosi looks at the child and extends her pointy elbow as the child is seen to move over, only to return to her original position as she is not intimidated.

Whether Pelosi's elbow actually made contact with the child is not clear but it sure seems likely.

Conservative columnist and TV show host Benny Johnson called Pelosi a “witch” in response to the video, but he may have mispronounced a similar sounding word.
“Nancy Pelosi ELBOWS the little daughter of new GOP Congresswoman Mayra Flores — what a witch,” Johnson tweeted.
Flores, 30, became the first Mexican-born congress member when she won a special election earlier this month against a Democratic opponent to replace Texas Democrat, Rep. Filemon Vela who retired before the end of his term, as the Democratic 'ship of fools' appears to be taking on water.

Another video of the photo op shows Nancy "Dancing Hands" Pelosi and Flores smiling and shaking hands as Pelosi congratulates her on the historic achievement. In Pelosi's case, the smile is botox-inspired and is frozen in place.

“It’s a great honor to welcome Congresswoman Flores to the Capitol and to the Congress of the United States with great congratulations,” Pelosi was forced to say. “And again, grateful for her leadership and her beautiful family who is here today.”

Flores will ride out the rest of Vela’s term and will face another election in November against Democratic nominee Vicente Gonzalez.

Pelosi wished her success during the swearing-in ceremony but she was only kidding.

“Thank you Congresswoman Flores for your courage to run for office and best wishes for your success,” she said. “It’s an honor to work with you,” she lied.

In response to the elbowing claim, Pelosi offered to give the child a $14 ice cream cone, but the girl declined.
