The Squad, Reparations, and Insanity

The specter of reparations has once again haunted the halls of Congress, this time with a renewed vigor under President Donald Trump's second term. The idea, which one might generously call "progressive", has been resurrected by the far-left members of the legislative body, now that the original torchbearer, the late Sheila Jackson Lee, has passed on.

The mantle has been taken up by none other than Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who has decided to push this agenda during Black History Month, no less. She claims it's a direct response to what she sees as an "unprecedented onslaught against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives from the Trump Administration." She's joined by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) in the Senate with the reintroduction of HR40, aiming to "establish a federal commission to examine the lasting legacy of slavery and develop reparations proposals for African American descendants of enslaved people."

Pressley's press release paints the bill as a counter-narrative to Trump's policies, suggesting it's "a powerful counterweight to the harmful actions taken by Donald Trump and a call to action for America to address the systemic oppression of Black people throughout its history."

One might wonder if these DEI practices aren't doing more harm than good by reducing individuals to mere categories of race or gender rather than recognizing merit.

Pressley doesn't shy away from attacking Trump, saying, "What we’re seeing from the Trump Administration and their allies in Congress and the courts is a coordinated, years-long effort to dismantle any policy that uplifts Black folks and addresses America’s shameful history of systemic racism. It is anti-Blackness on steroids and we’re not backing down in our pursuit of healing and reparatory justice."

She continues, "H.R. 40 is a powerful reminder of the work that remains and offers us a pathway toward truth, reconciliation, and accountability for the deep, structural injustices that continue to ravage Black communities to this day. I am grateful to Senator Booker for his ongoing partnership and I am deeply honored to follow in the footsteps of my mentor and friend, the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, in introducing this deeply necessary and overdue legislation."

The co-sponsor in the House, Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA), another Squad member who managed to survive her primary unlike some of her colleagues, adds her voice to the chorus. Her statement could be straight out of the 1619 Project, claiming, "The America we know today was built on the brutal enslavement and trafficking of stolen Africans forced to build this country on their literal backs. Despite what Trump and his anti-diversity, anti-equity, and anti-inclusion cronies want you to believe, this is American history. Our government – no matter who is in power – has an obligation to right these wrongs. If we are to truly address the racial and economic injustices rooted in this country, Congress must pass HR 40."

At the press conference, Lee was unambiguous, "Our government – no matter who is in power – has an obligation to right these wrongs, to provide reparations for descendants of enslaved Africans, to eliminate the racial wealth gap, to uplift the black community." With Pressley nodding in agreement, she continued her critique of Trump and the Republicans, "White supremacy is rampant in this country. Just look at the current administration and our own legislative body. They have contributed to the social and economic harms, to the racial terror black folks have experienced in this country. Now, more than ever, we must acknowledge and repair those harms!"

The rhetoric is as fiery as ever, but one must ask, is this the path to healing, or merely another divisive political maneuver draped in the garb of social justice?

Fla. "teacher" put on leave after allegedly making White students bow to Black students in class

A Florida  teacher who was accused of having White students bow down in supplication to Black students in his classroom has been put on leave, smack dab during Black History Month.

The alleged racist, Ethan Hooper, is a middle school teacher in Ocala, FL and posted videos of this disgraceful demand on his personal Tik ToK account, but was subsequently shared by the conservative account called Libs of Tik Tok. What they do is merely repost material that the woke put there and it's basically self-incriminating.

One of the videos that the racist Hooper posted showed White students acting like servants to Black students in the class in honor of Black History Month, which was created by someone who believes that Black people need to feel special and is a feature of the soft bigotry of low expectations.

White students were shown in the video fanning and feeding Black students.

"It was in good fun. There was no political agenda behind it," the teacher said. He said the video was being "maliciously used."

I don't care how this teacher classifies these actions, they are clearly racist and can easily be tested by "putting the shoe on the other foot": have Black students doing the same thing to White students and what do we see?

"I am deeply apologetic toward the students and parents of those involved. I am also sorry to the students who weren’t involved," Hooper said. "I want to be an example for them. If this does not match up with what they viewed [of me], I am truly sorry. My heart is for my students and the parents, first and foremost."

The Orange County Public School District, said, "[We] will not tolerate the use of our children as political pawns by anyone, including a classroom teacher."

"Any employee who creates videos or other content with students in an effort to exploit them for political purposes will be immediately removed from the classroom, placed on administrative leave, and swift action will be taken to terminate employment."

Yeah, we'll see if the Orange County Public School District actually removes him for his racist actions that clearly undermine the self-perception of White children.

Some naive students and woke parents spoke out in favor of Hooper, saying that they wanted to participate in the video because they know not what they do. The exploitation of children to make political points is wrong on so many levels.

Again, if the teacher was White who did the same exact thing, imagine the outcry and demands to have the teacher terminated.

White host of "Bachelor" on "cancel hold" after accusations of "perpetuating racism" for speaking out against cancel culture

It's Black History Month and the month of Lincoln's and Washington's birthdays. But wait, they've been victims of cancel culture so strike that from the record.

A TV show called "The Bachelor" is hosted by a White man named Chris Harrison. He announced this weekend that he's stepping down "for a period of time" after being accused of perpetuating racism when he asked that a contestant of the show be given "grace" and a chance to explain an alleged racist photo. I don't watch "The Bachelor" or any show even remotely similar to it, but I understand that others do.

“This historic season of The Bachelor should not be marred or overshadowed by my mistakes or diminished by my actions,” Harrison said in a weasel statement. He noted that this is the first season of the long-running reality program to feature a Black contestant, bachelor Matt James. “To that end, I have consulted with Warner Bros. and ABC and will be stepping aside for a period of time and will not join for the After the Final Rose special.” Whatever that means.

Harrison was verbally attacked last week after suggesting, in an interview with “Extra,” that the top contender for James’ engagement ring, Rachael Kirkconnell, deserved the opportunity to explain why she was pictured at an “antebellum”-themed fraternity formal in 2018, dressed as a pre-Civil War southern belle.

It appears that we now must pretend that American history doesn't exist and that everything we do is racist if cancel culture vultures don't like you. Now Kirkconnell must go under the microscope to see what else she may have worn, said, thought or smiled at.

Well, one thing the butt munchers claimed to have found was that Kirkconnell's parents voted for Donald Trump, and that's enough to have her barred from ever working anywhere at any time. But naturally, the voting information was unverified, as is the wont of the left.

Another unverified allegation was that she had shamed a former friend for dating black men, which deserves a validity rating of: Screw You.

How quickly these turds judge others. And yes, I am judging them as turds based on their behavior not allegations of it.

Harrison is a coward for apologizing, but unlike conservatives and Trump supporters, he just might be forgiven if he takes enough time off. Naturally, it's also quite probable that he will not be forgiven and have to unfortunately resign "to spend more time with [my] family."

They should call it "cancer culture" not cancel culture. Sick bast**ds.
