Sunny Hostin complains about Lindsey Graham's sister taking his position, but you will not believe why

The View remains the place where daytime television goes to remind everyone that ignorance and self-righteousness make a perfect pair. This time the panel turned its mighty intellect to the news that South Carolina had appointed Darline Graham, sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, to finish out his term.

Sunny Hostin, whose given name is evidently an oxymoron, found the whole arrangement deeply offensive to the cause of womanhood. The ladies then proceeded to demonstrate, once again, that they have no idea what the words they throw around actually mean.

Here is how the discussion unfolded:

SUNNY HOSTIN: I don't love it. I don't love it. You know, she'll be the first woman to be a U.S. senator in South Carolina in the history of the state. And I think that that's just fundamentally wrong that South Carolina just couldn't elect a woman and this is the only way that it was done.I think the experience does matter. And while she is a certified optician and while she has done great work in that field, I don't think that she should be representing the people of South Carolina in the U.S. Senate. I just don't. [Sunny would rather a Democrat woman be the first woman senator in the state.]

JOY BEHAR: Is this the very definition of a DEI? [Actually, it isn't. It might be considered nepotism, but D.E.I. is a horse of a different color, and the ladies of "The View" should be familiar with horses.]

SUNNY HOSTIN: Correct! Correct! It's everything that the Republican Party stands against! Everything! Everything! It's DEI. Nepotism. All these things thrown in together. And, you know, at this very same time Pete Hegseth blocked more promotions for women in particular for women of color to become admirals. And so this is happening. I feel like our government is fundamentally broken and I just disagree. I disagree with this. [And Darline is a Republican.]

BEHAR: I agree with you. It's not like taking over your mother's job at McDonald's.

HOSTIN: Yeah, it's not.

BEHAR: You're running

HOSTIN: It's the U.S. Senate.BEHAR: You're in government. You have to know what you're doing.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: You guys are putting too much stock in who's currently in Congress.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Yeah, you got a point.

Hostin also invoked the solemn testimony of Steve Schmidt to establish that Lindsey Graham had been a bad man all along. On "The View" this counts as serious evidence.

The panel nodded along as though Schmidt were some neutral historian rather than the usual angry Never-Trumper whose opinions happen to match the room. What the ladies managed to miss, as they always do, is that none of this qualifies as DEI, as I mentioned above.

DEI is the practice of handing out positions according to race and sex checkboxes while pretending merit is still in the room. Filling a vacant Senate seat with a family member is simply how representative government has worked for most of its history. Brothers, sons, widows, and sisters have stepped in when needed. The republic did not collapse the first dozen times it happened and it is unlikely to collapse now.

The real offense, apparently, is that South Carolina chose continuity over the approved method of holding a special election just so a woman could be elected the approved way. That this woman happens to be the sister of the man who held the seat is treated as some novel scandal rather than the ordinary business of politics.

The panel then used a Strawman argument and compared the situation to blocking promotions in the military, as though one has anything to do with the other. The geniuses concluded that the government itself is broken [whatever that actually means] because Republicans refuse to play the identity game on command.

It was the usual performance: loud, empty, and entirely untroubled by either history or logic. The ladies of "The View" once again proved that when you start with the conclusion that everything conservatives do is wicked, the facts can be arranged to fit afterward.

No actual thinking is required and this is what they excel in.

What do you think? I know it's controversial, but it's only temporary if Ms. Graham doesn't win in November's midterm elections.

Tampon Tim forcing teachers to abide by "horribly disgusting" "crazy" race standard says lawmaker

Minnesota state Sen. Mark Koran (R), is speaking out against a teacher requirement that he says amounts to forcing educators to take an oppressor "vow."

Public school teachers in Gov. Tim Walz’s Minnesota are required to abide by a "horribly disgusting" and "crazy" race standard that forces them to assess how their "biases, perceptions and academic training" perpetuate oppression, a state lawmaker said.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Republican state Sen. Mark Koran pointed to the requirement as further evidence of how education in Minnesota has "eroded."

According to Minnesota’s guidebook on "Standards of Effective Practice," public school teachers hoping to be licensed by the state must demonstrate that they have assessed "how their biases, perceptions and academic training may affect their teaching practice and perpetuate oppressive systems."

The requirement, which Minnesota classifies as one of its "professional responsibilities," further demands teachers use "tools to mitigate their own behavior to disrupt oppressive systems."

Koran said this requirement effectively amounts to forcing teachers to take a "vow of being an oppressor," which he called "just crazy" and "horribly detrimental."

He ripped into Walz over the changes, saying, "He's tied to the radicals, he's tied to the teachers’ unions, all the public unions of a really wild, radical agenda."

According to Koran, Minnesota has recently redone all of its teaching licensing standards "under the guise of racism."Under the new standards, he explained, teachers "have to embed in their curriculum, in their pedagogy, the understanding of the ‘oppressed’ and the ‘oppressor’ environment and overtly include that in their curricula."

"It's horribly disgusting," he said. "It is racism. It is instilling the systemic racism that doesn't exist today."Another professional responsibility required by Minnesota is that teachers understand "how prejudice, discrimination, and racism operate at the interpersonal, intergroup and institutional levels."

Teachers are required to demonstrate an understanding of "the historical foundations of education in Minnesota, including law, policies, and practices, that have and continue to create inequitable opportunities, experiences, and outcomes for learners."

The guidebook continues that teachers must highlight how the education system has created inequitable opportunities for "Indigenous students and students historically denied access, underserved, or underrepresented on the basis of race, class, disability, religion, gender, sexual orientation, language, socioeconomic status, or country of origin." In other words, it tells us to acknowledge that the white man sucks.

Further, under the section on student learning, the guidebook requires teachers to demonstrate their understanding of "the diverse impacts of individual and systemic trauma" on learning, including "racism, and micro and macro aggressions."Teachers are required to know how to support students using "culturally responsive strategies and resources to address these impacts."

Koran asserted that this "wild political ideology" is going to drive out more and more teachers from teaching in public schools.

"It's an offensive statement to assume that somebody's an oppressor based on who's the disfavored race of the week," he said. "We just can't have that."

Koran said that these race-based changes have been made as academic outcomes in Minnesota have simultaneously been plummeting.

"They've lowered the standards under the guise of equity," he said. "Today in Minnesota, half of our children can't read or write or do math at grade level, 50 percent, and they have high school diplomas."

"Minnesota is bragging about the graduation rates; we hit the highest ever, but fewer people have an education and are set up with a foundation to be successful," he lamented.

This comes as Walz and the state of Minnesota are facing increased national scrutiny over one of the largest fraud scandals in U.S. history. Koran said that if there is one message he could communicate to Minnesotans, it is that "the governor matters."

"We’ve got to get Minnesota back on the right track," he said. "The governor sets the tone, sets the direction, and sets the goals for which we need to work to achieve."

Look, only in Tim Walz's fever-dream version of Minnesota do they decide the best way to fix education is to make teachers swear allegiance to the Church of Oppressor Guilt. This isn't teacher training. It's a re-education camp with lesson plans. Koran is out here dropping truth bombs while the radicals turn classrooms into struggle sessions where "bias" is whatever the latest DEI commissar says it is.

They've got educators confessing their sins against the "oppressed" and "disrupting systems" like they're in some cult initiation. Meanwhile, half the kids can't read or do basic math but hey, at least the graduation rates look good on paper. Classic Minnesota: fake the numbers, push the ideology, and watch the whole thing collapse in slow motion. Walz and his union buddies own this mess, and voters are starting to notice.

Grand Jury Indicts Failed Trump Assassin, Adds 4th Charge

A Grand Jury on Tuesday tacked on a fourth charge and formally indicted the scumwafer accused of attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The four-count indictment charges Cole Tomas Allen with attempting to assassinate the president, assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon, transporting a firearm and ammunition across state lines with intent to commit a felony, and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.

Allen, 31, was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and several knives when he charged through a security checkpoint inside the Washington Hilton hotel, where the event was being held.

One floor above the ballroom filled with government officials and reporters, Allen fired one of his weapons, striking a Secret Service agent. Early reports suggested the agent may have been hit by friendly fire, but U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro later confirmed the officer was shot by the gunman.

“It is definitively his bullet, he hit at that Secret Service agent, he had every intention to kill him and anyone who got in his way on his way to killing the president of the United States,” Pirro told CNN over the weekend. “This was a premeditated, violent act, calculated to take down the president and anyone who was in the line of fire.”

The indictment and new charges come as a federal magistrate judge expressed deep sympathy for the suspect.

“I’m sorry,” Judge Faruqui told Allen, who was reportedly held in solitary confinement. “Whatever you’ve been through, I apologize for that now.”

Jail officials placed Allen on a temporary suicide watch that required 24-hour-a-day placement in a padded cell. The judge complained that those measures were punitive and not based on a medical assessment.

“Welcome to Washington, DC, where U.S. Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui believes a defendant armed to the teeth and attempting to assassinate the president is entitled to preferential treatment in his confinement compared to every other defendant,” Pirro posted on social media. The Daily Wire previously reported that Judge Faruqui has a soft-on-crime record, including releasing a man who attacked a member of Congress. He has also been a champion of DEI initiatives.

“As the first Muslim Judge to be appointed to the Federal Court in Washington D.C., Judge Faruqui has also devoted much of his career to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts,” reads a letter from the Washington Council of Lawyers supporting his nomination to the District Court of Columbia.

With the indictment unsealed, the case has been handed over to U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden, who was nominated by President Trump in 2017, according to CBS News.Allen is set to be arraigned on May 11. If convicted, he faces life in prison.

In a town famous for coddling its worst actors, this judge's weepy performance for a guy who rolled in like a one-man arsenal takes the cake. Leave it to Jeanine Pirro to cut through the nonsense and call it exactly what it was: a cold-blooded attempt on the president. At least the case is now in front of a Trump-appointed judge who might remember that protecting the country isn't optional.

Justice Alito rips Jackson a new one over 'utterly irresponsible' solo dissent

Justice Alito and DEI appointee Jackson

Justice Samuel Alito just unloaded on Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson's latest solo dissent, and he didn't hold back on Biden's autopen D.E.I. appointee.

Alito's concurrence, joined by Gorsuch and Thomas, said Jackson's rhetoric "lacks restraint." He torched claims that terminating temporary protected status for Haitian migrants was driven by racial bias against non-white immigrants.

No, wait, this time it was even better: Alito ripped into Jackson's lone dissent in the high-stakes Louisiana redistricting fight on Monday, labeling her arguments "baseless and insulting" after the Court moved to fast-track its recent ruling ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Writing in a concurring opinion joined by Justices Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas, Alito directly slapped down Jackson, declaring that her "dissent in this suit levels charges that cannot go unanswered."

"The dissent goes on to claim that our decision represents an unprincipled use of power," Alito wrote, adding that that was a "groundless and utterly irresponsible charge."

This latest clash just underscores how isolated Jackson has become on the bench, mainly because she isn't the brightest woman, [whatever that is, I'm not a biologist] on the SCOTUS bench. She didn't just split from the conservative majority; she went rogue from her two liberal colleagues too, who refused to sign on to her rant. Jackson unloaded on the Court for supposed overreach, continuing her habit of solo dissents where the Biden pick blasts every big majority decision that happens to go the way of President Trump and the Republicans.

In Monday's unsigned order, the Court cleared the way for Louisiana officials to quickly redo their congressional map, a move expected to boost Republican representation in the state ahead of the midterms.

Alito pointed out that dragging out the 6-3 ruling from last month, which tightened up Section Two of the Voting Rights Act by calling out Louisiana's map as an unconstitutional racial gerrymander, served zero practical purpose. Jackson's excuses for delaying the landmark decision were "trivial at best" and "baseless and insulting," he said.

"The dissent accuses the Court of 'unshackl[ing]' itself from 'constraints,'" Alito wrote. "It is the dissent’s rhetoric that lacks restraint."

Jackson had clutched her pearls, warning that the Court's action risked meddling in an active election and creating the "appearance of partiality," all while ignoring the voting and legal mess already happening in Louisiana.

Legal watchers noted the unusually sharp tone from Alito, figuring it showed some real internal tension boiling over. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley put it plainly: "Justice Alito had had enough." Professor Turley explained that Alito shredded Jackson's lame 32-day procedural objection, calling it a "trivial" nitpick that put form over substance, especially since nobody asked for reconsideration. It would have meant waiting around for no reason while the other parties had urgent need to get the map finalized.

He added that Alito was particularly fed up with Jackson's "unprincipled" smear against the Court. The whole thing stems from the standard 32-day procedural window before a judgment drops to lower courts. Alito made clear that rule is flexible and mainly exists for rehearing petitions, which weren't coming here anyway.

Now Louisiana is in full scramble mode to roll out the new map, with ballots already mailed and the primary on pause.

This decision will ripple across the country as other states scramble to get their own maps in order for the upcoming elections.

Orleans Parish D.E.I. Sheriff Susan Hutson indicted on 30 counts

Susan Hutson

Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson will be arraigned along with her chief financial officer, Bianka Brown, on May 15th.

This follows her court appearance Thursday morning after getting indicted in connection with last year's spectacular jailbreak that turned 10 inmates loose on the streets. Since then, all ten inmates have been recaptured because they are as intelligent as a Pez dispenser.

Sheriff Susan Hutson was hit with a 30-count indictment courtesy of Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill.

She faces charges including malfeasance in office, conspiracy to commit malfeasance in office, filing or maintaining false public records, conspiracy to commit filing or maintaining false public records, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice.

On Thursday morning, Hutson was spotted strolling into court for a status update.

According to her attorney, Hutson surrendered her passport and is out on a $300,000 bond.It is unclear where her next court date will be.

Thursday, Hutson issued a statement saying she will "aggressively fight to clear my name. The timing of this indictment is concerning; it will not deter me from pursuing every available legal action to demonstrate that these accusations are unfounded."

She was held in custody at the Jefferson Parish Jail in Gretna prior to her court appearance.

The sheriff's chief financial officer, Bianka Brown, was also indicted on 20 counts. She's facing the same menu of malfeasance in office, conspiracy to commit malfeasance in office, filing or maintaining false public records, conspiracy to commit filing or maintaining false public records, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice.

Bianka Brown

Her bond has been set at $200,000. She has bonded out of jail.

According to the indictment, the charges stretch from May 2, 2022, to April 8, 2026, covering Hutson's entire term in office.

The juicy details of whatever Hutson and Brown allegedly pulled during that stretch will probably surface during discovery.

Both have to surrender their passports and cannot leave Louisiana.

A spokesperson for the Orleans Parish Justice Center issued the following statement regarding the indictment.

"OPSO is aware of the recent legal developments involving Sheriff Hutson and CFO Brown. Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, OPSO will not comment on the specifics of the case. Media inquiries should be directed to the respective legal counsel Gregory Carter and James Mullaly. The agency remains focused on ensuring continuity across all operations."

This mess comes after Murrill spent nearly a year looking into the jailbreak that let dangerous inmates, including some facing murder charges, hit the streets after they busted out of the jail behind a toilet.

Hutson has insisted the jailbreak was an inside job. During her re-election campaign she even called it "the great let out."

The ten inmates who escaped are facing simple escape charges and eight are expected to go to trial in September.

Two are undergoing treatment for competency ahead of trial.

The indictment dropped just one day after Hutson delivered her farewell speech.

FAA orders merit-based hiring, not DEI, at airlines

In what the Trump administration is calling a long-overdue reversal of Biden-era nonsense, the FAA just dropped a hammer on commercial airlines: starting now, they have to commit to straight-up merit-based hiring for pilots or risk a federal investigation. No more D.E.I. hires whose greatest asset is their skin color and/or gender.

The mandate rolled out in the form of a new mandatory Operations Specification, cleverly dubbed OpSpec A134. For Part 121 carriers (that's your major airlines), it means certifying that pilot hiring is based exclusively on merit, things like real experience, technical aptitude, and the actual qualifications that keep planes in the sky safely. The clock starts ticking 30 days from February 13.

What a concept!

"While the FAA has raised performance standards, dismantled DEI offices and contracts, and revised absurd Biden-Buttigieg era directives that wasted time renaming cockpits to flight decks, allegations of airlines hiring based on race and sex remain," the FAA said. "Under this new mandate, all U.S. carriers will be required to certify that this practice is terminated. Failure to do so will subject airlines to federal investigation."

This move fits perfectly with President Trump's push to gut diversity, equity, and inclusion programs across the federal government. The current DOT leadership has been hammering home the point that the previous administration blew billions on feel-good diversity initiatives that delivered zilch, all while critical infrastructure like the air traffic control system rotted.

"When families board their aircraft, they should fly with confidence knowing the pilot behind the controls is the best of the best," Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said in a statement. "The American people don’t care what their pilot looks like or their gender, they just care that they are the most qualified man or woman for the job."

Look, some airlines have rolled out recruitment programs and training pipelines targeting women and minority pilots in an industry that's still overwhelmingly male and white. But let's be clear: there's zero evidence anyone's been waving safety requirements to hit quotas, and the FAA hasn't exactly flooded the zone with specifics on those "allegations" it's citing.

The Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), the biggest pilots' union in the country, fired back quickly. Officials stressed that every one of their members flying Part 121 ops has to meet the exact same rigorous training, testing, and qualification standards and no exceptions.

"All ALPA pilots are trained and evaluated to the same uncompromising standard regardless of race, gender, or background," said president Jason Ambrosi. "A pilot's identity has no bearing on their ability to safely operate an aircraft. What matters is training, experience, and qualification, and on that front, there are no shortcuts and no compromises."

If you enjoy  Brain Flushings and would like to subscribe or Buy Me a Coffee, or even check out the sponsors on this page, I would appreciate it, as it supports my work and my coffee drinking habit. No pressure and subscribing is free. So is checking out the advertisers on the blog.

Bottom line: the administration is making it official that safety trumps everything else, and if you're an airline, you'd better get on board with merit-only hiring fast.

Kash Patel punishes FBI kneelers during George Floyd riots

Alright, folks, strap in for some rare good news out of the swamp. This is why we elected Donald Trump.

FBI Director Kash Patel just dropped the hammer on a gaggle of agents who thought it was a great idea to grin like idiots and kneel before Black Lives Matter mobs during the 2020 George Floyd riots. You remember this clusterfrack, right?

Here’s the money shot: “BREAKING: FBI agents photographed kneeling during the BLM George Floyd protests have been reassigned. pic.twitter.com/5YfDMTC3VN— Leading Report (@LeadingReport) April 30, 2025.”

Reassigned, huh? That’s bureaucrat-speak for “sent to the FBI’s version of Siberia.”

Let’s rewind to June 4, 2020. These agents weren’t exactly auditioning for Employee of the Month. Their job? Protect federal buildings and monuments in D.C. from BLM’s rampaging goon squad.

Instead, they’re mugging for the cameras, most of them women, flashing pearly whites and taking a knee like they’re auditioning for a Marxist propaganda flick. The photos don’t lie—those weren’t fear-driven kneels for “crowd deescalation,” as CNN’s sob story would have you believe. Nope, that was a proud middle finger to duty, a love letter to BLM’s openly communist vibe.

The optics were worse than a clown car crash.

These “kneelers”—and yeah, that’s what we’re calling them now—weren’t just slacking; they were practically cheering for the same thugs who’d been torching cities and eyeing federal property for their next bonfire. CNN’s still whining that the FBI doesn’t train agents for crowd control, so, what, they had to grovel to save their skins? Please. The only thing those smiles were deescalating was the FBI’s credibility.

Now, the fallout. Per CNN: “The targeting of the kneelers is part of a broader effort by the new FBI leaders to make good on promises to root out what President Donald Trump has called ‘woke’ and politicized elements inside the agency.”

Translation: Patel’s draining the DEI swamp. Those kneeling agents? Shipped off to desk-jockey purgatory. And don’t cry for them—some of their own colleagues were spitting nails over this stunt.

George Floyd: thug life

“A furious reaction erupted inside the FBI. Some of the agents pictured kneeling were ostracized and personally attacked by their peers, current and former agents said.” Good. Sounds like not everyone at the Bureau forgot what a badge means.

Look, those shining, mostly female faces in the photos scream everything you need to know about the FBI’s DEI hiring frenzy.

Standards? Out the window. Pride? Traded for a photo-op with a mob. It’s taken five years—five!—for these kneelers to get their just desserts, but Patel’s finally delivering. This isn’t just a slap on the wrist; it’s a signal the FBI might, just might, start acting like a law enforcement agency again.

It's about darn time.

Poopy-mouth Dem Rep. tell Musk to eff off and gets ripped a new one on social media

Classy Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett got her clock rewound on social media after her ghetto mouth got her in trouble. She told Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head and wealthiest man on planet Earth to "f**k off." Her inappropriate verbiage is making her a star among fellow ghettonians and all around miscreants.

"F**k off," the nasty babe told reporter Joe Gallina outside Capitol Hill on Tuesday when asked what she would tell Elon Musk if she could tell him anything.

Crockett’s lazy filthy mouth and lack of a introspection  immediately drew blowback from conservatives on social media, who took issue with her disgusting verbiage and tone.

Here is what a few conservatives on X had to say:
"The face of the American left, ladies and gentlemen," conservative account Johnny MAGA posted on X.
"Classy," conservative commentator Benny Johnson also posted on X.
"Jasmine Crockett = trash," comedian Tim Young posted on X.
"Please make Jasmine Crockett the spokesperson of the Democrat Party," former GOP congressional candidate Kathleen Anderson posted on X.
Fox News Digital reached out to Crockett's office for comment and they told the media outlet to 'f**k off.' Just kidding--they simply didn't respond.

Many on the left in Congress are afraid of DOGE and pretty much anything that challenges mediocrity with meritocracy. They and their voters are not used to being required to account for the existence of their jobs and are therefore protesting Musk's people cutting wasteful spending.

However, in a recent poll, amplified by Musk on social media, the outcome suggests a majority of the American people support DOGE's mission.

The Harvard CAPS-Harris poll revealed a majority of Americans support reducing wasteful government spending. Most voters agree there should be a government agency dedicated to efficiency and that DOGE is helping to make major spending cuts, the non-probability-based poll found.

This scares the f**k out of DEI supporters and leftists, if you don't mind me saying so.

Trump's choice for Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman might shake things up

On a dreary Friday evening, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth unsheathed his blade and began the long-overdue surgery on the bloated corpus of general and flag officers who command—and, on the odd Tuesday when the mood strikes them, even deign to lead—our beleaguered Armed Forces. The initial incisions were swift and merciless: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General CQ Brown Jr., Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Lisa Franchetti, and Air Force Vice Chief of Staff Lieutenant General James Slife found themselves unceremoniously excised. In a twist that raised eyebrows, the Judge Advocates General of the Army, Navy, and Air Force—Army Lieutenant General Joseph B. Berger III, Navy Rear Admiral Lia M. Reynolds, and Air Force Lieutenant General Charles L. Plummer—were also dispatched to the professional guillotine.

No sentient observer believes this is the final act of the drama. Yet a full decapitation strike, while tempting to those with a taste for decisive action, would cast an unsightly shadow—particularly over a Congress already trembling with what one might charitably call a severe case of intestinal distress. Their panic stems not from principle but from the grim realization that program cuts are being wielded with a scalpel guided by reason, rather than the usual blunt instrument of political expediency, measured in jobs per congressional district.

The unfolding spectacle offers a few jolts to the system. Few were shocked to see CQ Brown and Franchetti toppled from their perches. They were, after all, the poster children of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion cult that Obama and Biden sought to graft onto the military’s sinews—an experiment as misguided as it was corrosive. Brown, in particular, could in certain lights be mistaken for a figure of chilling prejudice. One need only glance at his infamous memo, brazenly endorsing caps on the percentage of White pilots in the Air Force, to see the man’s priorities laid bare. Here it is, in all its ignominy, a document that speaks louder than any apologia ever could.

Dale Stark had something to say about CQ Brown in this tweet:
You mean the same CQ Brown who set an explicit goal of reducing the number of white male pilots in the Air Force? pic.twitter.com/xY2SbRHuAT— Dale Stark (@DaleStarkA10) February 20, 2025
One cannot help but marvel at the curious case of ole CQ Brown, unceremoniously ousted despite enjoying the backing of influential congressional figures and what appeared to be a chummy encounter with Trump in mid-December. There they were, the two of them, perched side by side, taking in the Army-Navy football game for a spell. Brown, ever the diligent networker, had been holding regular brain consults with Hegseth at the Pentagon. And yet, it all came to naught.

Then we have LTG Slife, a product of the USAF Special Operations fraternity. One might expect a hero's welcome for such a pedigree, but no - he was roundly despised, at least in the kangaroo court of social media, by Air Force personnel and veterans alike. Perhaps it had something to do with his penchant for bleating on as "the Air Force's most prominent voice" about so-called "institutional racism" amidst the George Floyd celebratory rioting. The scrupulous scribes at The Federalist lay it all bare in their dispatch 'Biden Nominee Claimed 'Institutional Racism' Affects The Military'.

As for the military JAGs, they seem to have found themselves in the crosshairs, suspected of masterminding a clandestine operation to squirrel away DEI programs and policies beneath the radar. A most intriguing development indeed, for those with an eye for the machinations of power.
Army JAG Joseph Berger “consolidated” DEI into the “Office of Professional and Organizational Development.”

Rebranding DEI is still DEI and violates Trump’s EOs. pic.twitter.com/taLhVT6q3L— Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) February 14, 2025

Equally interesting, and in the spirit of The Apprentice was Trump's message announcing Brown's firing.
I want to thank General Charles “CQ” Brown for his over 40 years of service to our country, including as our current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He is a fine gentleman and an outstanding leader, and I wish a great future for him and his family.

Today, I am honored…— Donald J. Trump Posts From His Truth Social (@TrumpDailyPosts) February 22, 2025
Here it is in total:

Today, I am honored to announce that I am nominating Air Force Lieutenant General Dan “Razin” Caine to be the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. General Caine is an accomplished pilot, national security expert, successful entrepreneur, and a “warfighter” with significant interagency and special operations experience.

During my first term, Razin was instrumental in the complete annihilation of the ISIS caliphate. It was done in record setting time, a matter of weeks. Many so-called military “geniuses” said it would take years to defeat ISIS. General Caine, on the other hand, said it could be done quickly, and he delivered.

Despite being highly qualified and respected to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the previous administration, General Caine was passed over for promotion by Sleepy Joe Biden. But not anymore! Alongside Secretary Pete Hegseth, General Caine and our military will restore peace through strength, put America First, and rebuild our military. Finally, I have also directed Secretary Hegseth to solicit nominations for five additional high level positions, which will be announced soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

While Trump and Hegseth seem willing to work within the bureaucracy, the choice of a retired general to be the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and with his meandering career path.

Caine is a VMI graduate and rated F-15 pilot and affiliated with the National Guard in 2009. He remained and Air Guardsman until he retired last year, though with several periods of active duty. He was Associate Director for Military Affairs with the CIA but had never worked on the Air Staff in the Pentagon, nor with the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

On a positive note, retired Lt. Col. Alexander "Krispy Kreme" Vindman disapproves of his appointment, and anything that guy disapproves of is a good thing to approve of.

Let's see how this all turns out.

GOP AG Sues Starbucks over DEI hiring practices resulting in "more female and less white employees"

Andrew Bailey, the Republican Attorney General of Missouri, alleges that Starbucks, the king of burnt-tasting coffee, is operating on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) race-and-sex-based hiring practices. Of course, this results in "more female and less white" employees and this is a new federal lawsuit, according to The Hill.

The suit was filed on Feb. 11, in which AG Bailey claims Starbucks violated federal and state anti-discrimination laws that unlawfully segregated employees and provided specific training benefits to select groups, pushing the narrative that the company prioritized DEI practices, which are actually unconstitutional.

Bailey cited data between 2020 and 2024, and accused the coffee chain of using quotas to iron out its workforce and board of directors, saying such hiring practices place other employees at a disadvantage. So it isn't only a racist problem, it's also a sexist one.

“With Starbucks’ discriminatory patterns, practices, and policies, Missouri’s consumers are required to pay higher prices and wait longer for goods and services that could be provided for less had Starbucks employed the most qualified workers, regardless of their race, color, sex, or national origin,” Bailey said.

The lawsuit also included a 2021 memo showing that the company aimed to meet specific inclusion and diversity targets. They wanted about 30% of corporate employees to be BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and 40% in retail and manufacturing by 2025.

Bailey's lawsuit follows after public criticism sparked by President Donald Trump's executive order which banned DEI programs in federal agencies. This led to many big companies reducing their own DEI efforts. Additionally, President Donald Trump told U.S. attorneys general to "encourage the private sector to stop illegal discrimination and preferences, including DEI."

Even with the lawsuit ongoing, the coffee company has promised to start mentorship programs for BIPOC workers and offer training for career growth for these groups. But, the Missouri AG believes these efforts by the Seattle-based company might break anti-discrimination laws, suggesting they favor certain racial or ethnic groups. "Starbucks' policies harm the many Missourians who work, or would like to work, at Starbucks but have been, are being, or will be discriminated against as future victims on the basis of their race, sex, or inclusion in other protected groups," the complaint claims, according to CBS News.

However, Starbucks disagrees. In their response, the company said, "We disagree with the attorney general, and these allegations are inaccurate. We are deeply committed to creating opportunities for every single one of our partners (employees). Our programs and benefits are open to everyone and lawful."

"Our hiring practices are inclusive, fair, and competitive and designed to ensure the strongest candidate for every job every time."

The Squad, Reparations, and Insanity

The specter of reparations has once again haunted the halls of Congress, this time with a renewed vigor under President Donald Trump's second term. The idea, which one might generously call "progressive", has been resurrected by the far-left members of the legislative body, now that the original torchbearer, the late Sheila Jackson Lee, has passed on.

The mantle has been taken up by none other than Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who has decided to push this agenda during Black History Month, no less. She claims it's a direct response to what she sees as an "unprecedented onslaught against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives from the Trump Administration." She's joined by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) in the Senate with the reintroduction of HR40, aiming to "establish a federal commission to examine the lasting legacy of slavery and develop reparations proposals for African American descendants of enslaved people."

Pressley's press release paints the bill as a counter-narrative to Trump's policies, suggesting it's "a powerful counterweight to the harmful actions taken by Donald Trump and a call to action for America to address the systemic oppression of Black people throughout its history."

One might wonder if these DEI practices aren't doing more harm than good by reducing individuals to mere categories of race or gender rather than recognizing merit.

Pressley doesn't shy away from attacking Trump, saying, "What we’re seeing from the Trump Administration and their allies in Congress and the courts is a coordinated, years-long effort to dismantle any policy that uplifts Black folks and addresses America’s shameful history of systemic racism. It is anti-Blackness on steroids and we’re not backing down in our pursuit of healing and reparatory justice."

She continues, "H.R. 40 is a powerful reminder of the work that remains and offers us a pathway toward truth, reconciliation, and accountability for the deep, structural injustices that continue to ravage Black communities to this day. I am grateful to Senator Booker for his ongoing partnership and I am deeply honored to follow in the footsteps of my mentor and friend, the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, in introducing this deeply necessary and overdue legislation."

The co-sponsor in the House, Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA), another Squad member who managed to survive her primary unlike some of her colleagues, adds her voice to the chorus. Her statement could be straight out of the 1619 Project, claiming, "The America we know today was built on the brutal enslavement and trafficking of stolen Africans forced to build this country on their literal backs. Despite what Trump and his anti-diversity, anti-equity, and anti-inclusion cronies want you to believe, this is American history. Our government – no matter who is in power – has an obligation to right these wrongs. If we are to truly address the racial and economic injustices rooted in this country, Congress must pass HR 40."

At the press conference, Lee was unambiguous, "Our government – no matter who is in power – has an obligation to right these wrongs, to provide reparations for descendants of enslaved Africans, to eliminate the racial wealth gap, to uplift the black community." With Pressley nodding in agreement, she continued her critique of Trump and the Republicans, "White supremacy is rampant in this country. Just look at the current administration and our own legislative body. They have contributed to the social and economic harms, to the racial terror black folks have experienced in this country. Now, more than ever, we must acknowledge and repair those harms!"

The rhetoric is as fiery as ever, but one must ask, is this the path to healing, or merely another divisive political maneuver draped in the garb of social justice?

Trump demands FBI retain all DEI records from the closed office

President-elect [but not for long] Donald Trump demanded on Thursday evening that the FBI keep all records from the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) office that was shut down last month.

The FBI quietly closed its Office of Diversity and Inclusion last month, just before Trump’s inauguration. This happened because Trump has promised to reduce DEI efforts in the federal government, similar to what many companies have done in the last year.

“We demand that the FBI preserve and retain all records, documents, and information on the now closing DEI Office—Never should have been opened and, if it was, should have closed long ago,” Trump wrote on social media. “Why is it that they’re closing one day before the Inauguration of a new Administration? The reason is, CORRUPTION!”

The FBI stated that the office was closed last month but didn't explain why.

Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) criticized the FBI's DEI focus recently, saying it prioritizes the wrong things. “I am deeply concerned that—under your leadership—the Bureau has prioritized Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives over its core mission of protecting the American people,” Blackburn wrote in a letter this month.

Former FBI special agent Nicole Parker criticized the FBI's focus on social justice, stating, “constant push for social justice weaponization at the FBI whose top priorities are to protect the American people and uphold the constitution.”

The FBI still mentions the Office of Diversity and Inclusion on its website, stating its mission is to “provide guidance and implement programs that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace that allows all employees to succeed and advance.”

“The FBI’s efforts to diversify are crucial to creating an inclusive workforce and to being increasingly effective and efficient in our investigations and keeping the American public safe,” said Scott McMillion, the FBI’s first Chief Diversity Officer, on the site.

The website also promotes joining employee resource groups which, according to The Daily Wire, are used to push left-wing agendas. It's not clear if these groups will continue now that the DEI office is closed.

Despite this closure, many federal agencies continue to push DEI agendas, with around 500 actions taken under the Biden administration to promote diversity. Once Trump is inaugurated, he and his team will have the chance to remove these "woke" officials and dismantle the DEI initiatives in government and the military.

DEI FEMA Director claims Calif. was "very prepared" for fires.

Failed FEMA Administrator Deanna Criswell, was interviewed on CBS News by Margaret Brennan over the weekend. Brennan asked Criswell "why the area was so unprepared" for the fires, to which she said that in Southern California officials "were very prepared" for the fires, "I think they were very prepared," because that is the type of answer a D.E.I. hire who is thoroughly incompetent for this job would give to cover their butt.

Criswell also claimed that it was difficult for firefighters to reach the fires due to the fact that they were in "such a populated area."

But the areas are well known to have high winds and as this is being written there are gusts of winds blowing between 60 - 70 miles per hour in one area. They knew this and they knew the areas involved in fire were highly populated.

But California didn't have enough water, nor enough firefighters to fight the fire, but Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass refused help when the New York Fire Department offered it.

The Palisades fires at this time destroyed 23,713 acres and Eaton area lost 14, 117 acres--these are biblical proportions compared to prior wildfires. None of these fires, now and in previous years, is a surprise; it's an ongoing phenomenon as are the Santa Ana winds. Twenty-four people have been confirmed dead.

No rain is forecasted for the week so Los Angeles remains dry.

Where is Kamala Harris?

LA's DEI Fire Department says 'there's nothing they can do' to prevent or put out fires

Los Angeles mayoral candidate Rick Caruso blasted current Democrat Mayor Karen Bass and her "absolute mismanagement by the city," which led to the fire hydrants running dry and fires running rampant.

But at least the LA Fire Department is woke and has made great use of D.E.I. so that transgender 'women' are experts since birth, at using a hose.

The Los Angeles Times reported in the early hours of Wednesday morning that firefighters battling the blaze in Pacific Palisades had begun to report over radios that fire hydrants were losing pressure, going flaccid, and running out of water entirely.

“The hydrants are down,” and, “Water supply just dropped,” they said, according to the outlet.

The Department of Water and Power provided a statement to the Times acknowledging the hydrants were running out of water but did not give any indication as to how widespread the issue was.

“This area is served by water tanks and close coordination is underway to continue supplying the area,” the statement said.

Too bad they can't come up with a way to use the Pacific Ocean as a temporary water supply--it's just down the street.

Caruso commented on the still-unfolding clusterfrack: “There’s no water in the fire hydrants. The firefighters are there [in the neighborhood], and there’s nothing they can do — we’ve got neighborhoods burning, homes burning, and businesses burning. … It should never happen.”

Caruso called a local news station and revealed that his daughter’s home was among the 1000 structures that had burned thus far — and said that if the city [not to mention the state] was better managed, the situation could have been much less disastrous.

“My heart goes out obviously to the people with their homes, and I’m watching the small businesses around us go up in flames, you know this is people’s livelihoods,” Caruso said. “So it’s devastating. but what is most concerning to me is our first responders and our firefighters who are trying to battle this, there’s no water in the Palisades.”

What does it mean when one's heart goes out?

Caruso, a developer, went on to target the mismanagement of resources, saying that reservoirs had not been refilled and noting the fact that Mayor Bass is out of the country, traveling in Ghana on the taxpayers' dime.

“There’s no water coming out of the fire hydrants. This is an absolute mismanagement by the city,” he added. “It’s not the firefighters’ fault, but it’s by the city. And I’ve got to be very honest, we’ve got a mayor that’s out of the country, and we’ve got a city that’s burning, and there’s no resources to put out fires.”

“So if you look at your pictures, you don’t see the firefighters there because there’s nothing they can do,” he claimed. “It looks like we’re in a third-world country here.”

But we all know that if Trump had already been sworn in as President, he would be the target of blame.

Here's Why Secret Service Director Didn't Post Anyone on the Roof Where Sniper Sniped

Anthony Bernal is a senior advisor to First Lady Jill Biden since 2020 and people fear him. As the New York Post  reported, four members of Biden's inner circle said Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle was well-liked by Doctor Jill Biden as well as Bernal. So guess what, she was appointed to the position based on that.

“Cheatle served on Doctor Biden’s second lady detail and Anthony pushed for her,” a Democratic insider told The Post. “Anthony has no national security or law enforcement experience. He should have no influence over the selection of the USSS director.” Basically, Bernal knows as much about security as Doctor Jill knows about medicine, in spite of what Joy Behar believes.

“I heard at the time she was being considered for director that Anthony had pushed her forward as an option,” another close source to the administration said.

But Cheatle also does not appear to have a good grasp on what it takes to protect a "protectee." At least she is "the first" woman to head the agency, because that crap is more important to Biden than assigning "the best" for positions within the administration. So we get the first Black, lesbian White House Press Secretary, the first Black/Asian female Vice President, the first gay Transportation Secretary, the first Black Secretary of Defense; the first Native American Cabinet Secretary, serving as Secretary of the Interior, the first woman to serve as Secretary of the Treasury, the first immigrant and first Latino to serve as Secretary of Homeland Security, the first transgender federal official to be confirmed by the Senate, serving as Assistant Secretary for Health, and I could go on and on.

Biden is obsessed with "firsts," as if that is by necessity a good thing, when all the evidence to this proves otherwise.

Cheatle is going to, and needs to be fired. This much is certain.

She has made the most ridiculous observation as to why nobody was place on the roof the sniper used to shoot at the former President.

Here is what this DEI pick told ABC News:
“That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof. And so, you know, the decision was made to secure the building from inside.”
Good thing it wasn't raining slightly or she might have had the entire Secret Service detail stay inside so as not to catch their death of cold.

She's an idiot when it comes to running this agency. The sniper didn't care a fiddler's fart about the slope of the roof. In fact, it offered him some cover while he waited to shoot. Instead, Cheatle thought she would look good, and perhaps grab a few virtue signaling points from the press.

No, seriously, she's a total idiot and has no business jeopardizing the lives of the protectees under the watch of the Secret Service. She even admitted they knew about the building rooftop and its vulnerability, but she still opted not to position agents there.

The sniper, Thomas Matthew Crooks, had a clear line of sight to Trump because he was a mere 130 yards away--a distance bootcamp recruits use at the rifle range to qualify. It's a piece of cake to hit the bullseye if you know how to sight in, judge your wind, and have a steady position, which Crooks had in the prone position.

And what is with having short women guard Trump? They come up to the lower part of his neck and some of them don't even know how to reholster their weapon. Should women even have the job of putting their lives on the line for a man when it's the duty of men to protect their women?

This is the worst Secret Service security failure since 1981. She claims the "buck stops with me," but she refuses to resign. Maybe she needs the money, but that seems a bit less important than the lives of our leaders.

Anyway, Cheatle needs to go. Now. Period.

Oh, by the way, and this is a big 'by the way,' Fox News is reporting that Cheatle's agency listed the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, as "a potential person of suspicion."

So he bought 50 rounds the day before the rally, they had him listed as a potential shooter, and did nothing to stop the attempted assassination.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but hey.

Cheatle is in way over her head, but as the "first woman to head the Secret Service," she'll probably not go anywhere until Donald Trump becomes our 47th President.

MO AG suing IBM for alleged discrimination against Asians, Whites, and Men

Missouri AG Andrew Bailey

Missouri's Attorney General, Andrew Bailey, has filed a lawsuit against the huge technology company, International Business Machines (IBM). He claims that IBM is unfair in how they hire people, preferring certain groups over white, Asian, and male applicants. Bailey says that IBM even forces workers to follow these rules by linking their pay to how well they meet diversity goals.

[H/T The Daily Wire]

Bailey told conservative outlet The Daily Wire that he wants this lawsuit to stop what he calls "corporate racism" at IBM. He says that the company's "diversity modifier" system unfairly connects executive pay to meeting targets that are biased against white, Asian, and male applicants.
“But if he or she fails to meet it, IBM swings the stick: they lose part of their bonus and, eventually, their job,” the lawsuit says.

“We will not tolerate racist employment policies in the state of Missouri. That’s the plain text of the Missouri Human Rights Act,” Bailey explained.

“It has come to my attention that IBM has adopted an unlawful policy that blatantly favors applicants of a certain gender or skin color over others, and that managers within the company who refuse to comply with said policy face adverse action, including and up to, termination,” Bailey said.

In a secret video posted by journalist James O'Keefe, IBM’s CEO, Arvind Krishna, reportedly admitted that the company was hiring based on race. In the video, Krishna said that he expected all executives in the company to increase the number of underrepresented minorities by 1%.

“You got to move both forward by a percentage that leads to a plus on your bonus,” Krishna said about hiring… pic.twitter.com/UUK26HX8IP

Krishna warned that people who didn't hire more employees from different races would lose part of their bonuses.

Paul Cormier, who used to be the CEO of Red Hat, a part of IBM, talked about the company's DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion--or--Didn't Even Interview) policies. Cormier said that some leaders didn't meet the company's standards and were held accountable, so they no longer worked for the company.
“We’re going to hold, we are continuing to hold, and going to hold even more of our executives accountable for all of this and they will have metrics around this,” Cormier added.

Bailey’s lawsuit said tying a “quota system to bonus compensations” is “a cudgel against those who do not fall in line.”

The Attorney General said that IBM's "discriminatory practices" were not just because of a few mid-level managers. Instead, he explained that these practices were a deliberate decision by the most powerful people at the company. He stated, "At IBM, there's a culture of racism from the top leaders downward. We're not just talking about some mid-level manager, but about the CEO of the entire company, who threatened his top executives with punishment if they didn't follow his racist policies."
“Missourians deserve answers as to why one of the largest technology and consulting companies in the world, with offices based in Missouri, is discriminating against both prospective and current employees,” he added.

The news outlet had previously revealed that IBM was discriminating against white people, Asian people, and men. They offered an internship that was only available to people from certain backgrounds. This opportunity, which was for “underrepresented minorities,” stated that applicants should be “African American, Hispanic, or Indigenous.”

Another IBM internship, called the “Internship for Undergraduate Women,” stipulated that “applicants must be female, including all students who present or identify as women and/or trans women.”

David Bernstein, a professor at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia School of Law, said that these internship programs “clearly violate Title VII,” which bars race and sex-based employment preferences.
