Trump's choice for Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman might shake things up

On a dreary Friday evening, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth unsheathed his blade and began the long-overdue surgery on the bloated corpus of general and flag officers who command—and, on the odd Tuesday when the mood strikes them, even deign to lead—our beleaguered Armed Forces. The initial incisions were swift and merciless: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General CQ Brown Jr., Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Lisa Franchetti, and Air Force Vice Chief of Staff Lieutenant General James Slife found themselves unceremoniously excised. In a twist that raised eyebrows, the Judge Advocates General of the Army, Navy, and Air Force—Army Lieutenant General Joseph B. Berger III, Navy Rear Admiral Lia M. Reynolds, and Air Force Lieutenant General Charles L. Plummer—were also dispatched to the professional guillotine.

No sentient observer believes this is the final act of the drama. Yet a full decapitation strike, while tempting to those with a taste for decisive action, would cast an unsightly shadow—particularly over a Congress already trembling with what one might charitably call a severe case of intestinal distress. Their panic stems not from principle but from the grim realization that program cuts are being wielded with a scalpel guided by reason, rather than the usual blunt instrument of political expediency, measured in jobs per congressional district.

The unfolding spectacle offers a few jolts to the system. Few were shocked to see CQ Brown and Franchetti toppled from their perches. They were, after all, the poster children of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion cult that Obama and Biden sought to graft onto the military’s sinews—an experiment as misguided as it was corrosive. Brown, in particular, could in certain lights be mistaken for a figure of chilling prejudice. One need only glance at his infamous memo, brazenly endorsing caps on the percentage of White pilots in the Air Force, to see the man’s priorities laid bare. Here it is, in all its ignominy, a document that speaks louder than any apologia ever could.

One cannot help but marvel at the curious case of ole CQ Brown, unceremoniously ousted despite enjoying the backing of influential congressional figures and what appeared to be a chummy encounter with Trump in mid-December. There they were, the two of them, perched side by side, taking in the Army-Navy football game for a spell. Brown, ever the diligent networker, had been holding regular brain consults with Hegseth at the Pentagon. And yet, it all came to naught.

Then we have LTG Slife, a product of the USAF Special Operations fraternity. One might expect a hero's welcome for such a pedigree, but no - he was roundly despised, at least in the kangaroo court of social media, by Air Force personnel and veterans alike. Perhaps it had something to do with his penchant for bleating on as "the Air Force's most prominent voice" about so-called "institutional racism" amidst the George Floyd celebratory rioting. As for the military JAGs, they seem to have found themselves in the crosshairs, suspected of masterminding a clandestine operation to squirrel away DEI programs and policies beneath the radar. A most intriguing development indeed, for those with an eye for the machinations of power.

Equally interesting, and in the spirit of The Apprentice was Trump's message announcing Brown's firing.

Many so-called military “geniuses” said it would take years to defeat ISIS. General Caine, on the other hand, said it could be done quickly, and he delivered.

Despite being highly qualified and respected to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the previous administration, General Caine was passed over for promotion by Sleepy Joe Biden. But not anymore! Alongside Secretary Pete Hegseth, General Caine and our military will restore peace through strength, put America First, and rebuild our military. Finally, I have also directed Secretary Hegseth to solicit nominations for five additional high level positions, which will be announced soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

While Trump and Hegseth seem willing to work within the bureaucracy, the choice of a retired general to be the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and with his meandering career path.

Caine is a VMI graduate and rated F-15 pilot and affiliated with the National Guard in 2009. He remained and Air Guardsman until he retired last year, though with several periods of active duty. He was Associate Director for Military Affairs with the CIA but had never worked on the Air Staff in the Pentagon, nor with the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

On a positive note, retired Lt. Col. Alexander "Krispy Kreme" Vindman disapproves of his appointment, and anything that guy disapproves of is a good thing to approve of.

Trump impeachment witness Alexander Vindman allegedly profited off Ukraine war with contracts

Retired Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who is famous for testifying during the first impeachment proceedings of President Donald J. Trump, and whose favorite military leader is Rear Admiral Rachel Levine, is now being accused of attempting to profit off the war in Ukraine. It's believed that he [?] was trying to pitch lucrative defense contracts through his private company. [H/T Fox News Digital]

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) in a statement to Fox News Digital accused the androgynous Vindman of trying to personally profit from his attacks against Trump and his reported dealings in Ukraine. You may recall that Blackburn was one of Vindman's toughest critics because he is, after all, an embarrassment to the uniform.

"When conservatives speak the truth, the mainstream media panics and desperately attempts to provide cover for the left. They did this for Alexander Vindman, just like they did for Hunter Biden, Dr. Fauci and teachers unions," Blackburn said, referencing liberal media outlets' staunch defense of Vindman throughout his time as a witness during the investigation.

"Alexander Vindman has always been a political activist and opportunist masquerading behind his career. He saw an opening for personal fame and profited by exploiting the media’s outrage against President Trump," she said.

"Vindman has spent the last three years on MSNBC and CNN attacking Republicans. Now, new revelations suggest Vindman could be profiting off the war in Ukraine, just as he did by speaking out against the Trump administration," Blackburn added.

Vindman has been pitching the government of Ukraine to obtain defense contracts through Trident International LLC, of which he is the CEO, according to a report by Human Events. 

Speaking with Fox News Digital, Vindman responded to the accusations by blasting Blackburn, accusing her of lying and contributing to him ultimately leaving the military.

"Ooh, Blackburn. She’s an idiot, an agent of chaos promoting disinformation. She has never said one true thing about me. Her attacks in 2019/20 contributed to an environment that made it impossible for me to continue my nonpartisan military service," Vindman whined. 

"More importantly, it’s the politicization of Ukraine, by the fringe right, that brought about this war, imperiling Ukraine, Europe, and most importantly the U.S.," the former relevant Vindman added.

The report stated that last year, Vindman, who was born in Ukraine, pitched a project worth $12 million that his company said would address the country's problems with managing the readiness, repair and maintenance of its weapons systems by developing a center within the country to essentially operate as a middle-man between NATO and the Ukrainian military.

It's unclear, however, if the project has been approved as the report stated court documents showed there was an ongoing dispute over payments related to the project.

Alex Vindman blames Trump for Ukraine invasion and global warming

Never in the history of man has one person been credited with the global malaise that has been blamed on former President Donald J. Trump. Imagine the power those on the left credit him with if he can effect the current economy; cause Russia to invade Ukraine; impact global warming; and part the oceans with his words. 

He must be an evil genius.

According to reports, Light Colonel Alex Vindman spoke with VICE News about his favorite topic: President Trump and the "great phone chat" he had with Ukraine's President Volodomyr Zelenskyy.

Alex claims he was offered the job as Ukraine's Defense Minister [he was born in Ukraine] but a former high ranking National Security Officer told ABC News that the offer was "a joke," and this made Al very upset and angry, vowing to take down President Trump come hell or Russian invasion, but I repeat myself.

The U.S. official claimed that Republican legislators' "attacks on our democracy" was the catalyst for Putin to invade Ukraine. This official, whose code name is "The Great Kreskinov" is also known for reading minds and tea leaves and claims to have made a fortune at race tracks and the stock market.

“Putin is to blame for this conflict, but they deserve a large share of the blame,” Vindman wrote to Russia’s President. Moreover, The Great Kreskinov contended that the United States could have done so much more to assist Ukraine in the run-up to the Russian assault.

Obviously, Trump is no longer in office and we are stuck with a senile old liar who walks like he's taking a sobriety test on the side of the road. But it's always okay to blame Trump for all the bad things that happen in the world because people on the left want to believe it and so it becomes confirmation bias.

“While issuing maximalist demands and closing diplomatic off-ramps, the Kremlin beefed up Russian soldiers around Ukraine’s borders,” Vindman said. 

According to this leftist hack, the Biden Administration gradually raised the alarm about the Kremlin’s expected course of action. Long-term geopolitical dynamics, such as Ukraine’s decisive move toward the values of the West and Russia’s desire to restore itself to what it claims is its own territory, Vindman said, set the outlines of war.

Besides singling out Trump, Vindman also accused former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Fox News host Tucker Carlson for their praise for Putin even when it became obvious that he would invade Ukraine. It's also obvious that Alexander Vindman has no idea of the role salesmen have in the world. Trump, being a great salesman was doing just that with Putin. Why else did we have four years of peace under the former President?

Vindman and the left need to blame anyone but the houseplant in charge of the country and Trump is their default position.

"The Tucker Carlsons, the Donald Trumps, the Mike Pompeos, they and other Republicans are going to have to own this issue because they are the reason that Russia launched this operation," Vindman said, obnoxiously using the plural to categorize anyone on the planet who might agree with anything these people said, are culpable for Putin's actions.

But remember, it didn't happen on Trump's watch. It happened when Putin saw a country that is more concerned about LGBTQ+1 [whatever] issues, equity in the military, and a transgender Admiral in the Navy that he believed the time for action was now.

He testified about a phone call between Trump and Zelenskyy about a deal involving the exchange of US military aid in exchange for an investigation into Joe Biden's drug addled son, Hunter Biden and his ties to Ukrainian business interests, which also lined Joe's fat pockets.

Byron York: Vindman, the driving weasel behind Trump impeachment

When retired Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman testified against President Trump at the impeachment trials, a congressman referred to him as "Mr. Vindman" rather than using his rank. I believe that congressman was Jim Jordan (R-OH) but I could be mistaken and it isn't important enough to go back and namecheck that factoid. What't important is that hearing Vindman's response made me realize that this guy is a scumcrumpet. He's like the PhD who insists you provide the honorific "Doctor" before his or her name. These are people who have deep-seated feeling of being insignificant and require you honor their title, like the left does with Doctor Jill Biden, whose PhD is in education.

Anyway, Mr. Vindman was a key witness and, as it turns out, was the "original source" of the Trump-Russia collusion delusion, not the whistleblower, says Byron York.

York reveals in his new book "Obsession Inside the Washington Establishment's Never-Ending War on Trump," that Mr. Vindman, who retired from the Army in July after he was fired from the National Security Council in February, was the driving force for Democrats' impeachment.

"It didn't take a real rocket scientist that the source of this, the original source of this, was Lt. Col. Vindman," York told Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle,"
Wednesday night. He laid out the facts of the case.

"If you remember early on in the Ukraine matter, the Democrats said they wanted the whistleblower to testify, and then they changed their mind and they didn't want the whistleblower to testify and they began to shut off any Republican attempts to find out who the whistleblower was," he said.

York, the Washington Examiner chief political correspondent asked, "So the question is if the whistleblower wasn't in the White House, how did he learn what was going on?"

He points out Vindman was one of several people who listened to Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, "but [Vindman] was the only one who was disturbed by what took place. He was the only one who thought there was a problem there."

Vindman testified to the Intelligence Committee that he only told two people outside the White House, George Kent, who was a State Department official who specialized in Ukraine, and a member of the intelligence community.

"At that point, Adam Schiff, other Democrats interrupted, you cannot say, you cannot ask the other person he spoke to, and Republicans said well, why can't we ask about that? And they said because it would tend to identify the whistleblower."

Republicans had a "very difficult time handling" Vindman because, although they felt he was the "origin of all this," he was a decorated military officer, York said.
