War "hero" strongly criticizes Russia

Secretary of State and self-proclaimed Vietnam War hero John Kerry said some tough words Thursday that may or may not have had Vladimir Putin scared out of his wits. Those words were in regards to the U.S. Navy ship that the Russian warplanes buzzed perilously close in the Baltic Sea this week.

What Kerry said to CNN was  "We condemn this kind of behavior. It is reckless. It is provocative. It is dangerous. And under the rules of engagement that could have been a shoot-down."

And a U.S. defense official concurred with Kerry, describing the buzzing as a "simulated attack profile."

The USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) was minding its own business, conducting flight ops with a Polish helicopter when two Russian Su-24 attack jets came within 1,000 yards of the ship. It was merely 100 feet off the water. Then the next day, the bullies did it again as a jet flew within 30 feet of the Cook.

The reason we didn't shoot any of the jets down is like the time my uncle Harry was about to pay for the dog license fee on Parfait, his French poodle. But aunt Rose told him, "Harry, the dog is dead. Why are you paying for a license for a dead dog?" To which Harry responded: "Look, Rose, I don't want any trouble."

That's how this administration acts when bullies threaten them. They will do anything to avoid "trouble."

Let's be clear; a military commander has the authority to defend his ship, whether it floats on water or floats on air. Good judgment, of course, is needed to determine whether the threat is real or not, but in this case, it certainly had all the markings of an attack on the ship.

If it were the Donald Trump instead of the Donald Cook, you know they'd have blown the bastards right out of the sky and damn the consequences.
