Trump oversees US strikes on Iran, speaks with Bibi Netanyahu by phone

President Donald Trump, from the gilded confines of Mar-a-Lago, oversaw the launching of American strikes against Iran, strikes carried out in concert with Israel, while speaking by phone with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, confirmed as much in the small hours: "President Trump monitored the situation overnight at Mar-a-Lago alongside members of his national security team," she posted on X. "The President spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu by phone."

One might pause here to note the sheer theatricality of it all: the former, and now again, president directing military action not from some drab Situation Room in Washington, but from a Florida estate better known for golf and galas. Yet there is something fitting in the spectacle. Trump has never pretended to be the discreet mandarin of foreign policy; he announces wars in video messages posted at 2:30 a.m., addressing not merely allies or adversaries but the Iranian people themselves.

In that Truth Social address, the president declared the strikes underway and turned directly to those he evidently regards as potential liberators: "Stay sheltered. Don't leave your home. It's very dangerous outside. Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take," he said. 

"This will be, probably, your only chance for generations. For many years, you have asked for America's help, but you never got it. No President was willing to do what I am willing to do tonight. Now you have a President who is giving you what you want." Later he added that the "hour of your freedom is at hand."

The words are blunt, almost messianic in their confidence, and they carry an unmistakable message: this is not mere containment or calibrated pressure, but an invitation to regime change, delivered with the casual certainty of a man who believes history bends to resolve. 

Former Navy SEAL Jack Carr, assessing the operation, pointed to the administration's "maximum pressure campaign" and the conspicuous absence of any "off-ramp" for the Iranian regime—a formulation that captures the essential gamble. There is no gentle exit ramp here; the road leads either to capitulation or escalation.

Prior to the strikes, Secretary of State Marco Rubio had dutifully notified the so-called Gang of Eight, reaching seven of the eight congressional intelligence leaders. Administration officials insist the situation remains under close watch. Yet Democrats on that committee were swift to condemn the action. 

Representative Jim Himes of Connecticut, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, issued a statement that reads like a weary recitation of every cautionary tale from the post-9/11 era: "Everything I have heard from the administration before and after these strikes on Iran confirms this is a war of choice with no strategic endgame," he wrote. "Military action in this region almost never ends well for the United States, and conflict with Iran can easily spiral and escalate in ways we cannot anticipate. It does not appear that Donald Trump has learned the lessons of history."

Himes is not wrong to invoke history; the Middle East has been a graveyard of grand American ambitions for decades. Yet we have to wonder whether the real lesson of history is not endless restraint in the face of a regime that has spent forty years promising Israel's destruction, sponsoring terror across the region, and pursuing nuclear capability under every possible guise. 

The strikes follow months of mounting tension, American action against Iran's nuclear sites as recently as June, followed by fitful negotiations that went nowhere. Trump had warned repeatedly: dismantle the nuclear infrastructure fully, or face consequences.

The operation, whatever its immediate tactical successes or failures, raises the oldest question in Western statecraft: when does one confront an implacable adversary, and when does one merely manage the threat? 

Critics see recklessness; supporters see belated clarity. Trump, characteristically, frames it in the starkest terms possible, not as a limited strike, but as a potential turning point for an oppressed people. Whether the Iranian people heed his call, or whether the regime survives to retaliate further, remains to be seen. What is clear is that the United States, under this president, has chosen action over the familiar pattern of drift, delay, and diplomatic fiction. In a region where illusions have cost countless lives, that choice, at the very least, cannot be dismissed as mere caprice.

NYC's Socialist Speed Bump: Parents Pedal Away from Public Schools Faster Than You Can Say 'Free Everything'

Ah, New York City, the city that never sleeps, unless it's dreaming up new ways to chase away its taxpaying residents. 

In a plot twist that feels like a bad sequel to Escape from New York, socialist wunderkind Zohran Mamdani has clinched the mayoral throne, and the exodus is already underway. Not the usual celebrity flight to the Hamptons, but something far more poignant: parents yanking their kids from the clutches of the city's public education system like it's on fire. And spoiler alert: it might be, metaphorically speaking.

Enter Christopher Rim, the school placement consultant who's suddenly busier than a one armed juggler. Chatting with the New York Post, Rim spilled the beans on the frantic scramble: at least 23 families have pinged him about shipping their middle- and high-schoolers off to private academies in friendlier zip codes—think greener pastures in other states, where "curriculum" doesn't come with a side of ideological indoctrination.

"Within the first 30 minutes of AP announcing Mamdani’s victory, I got three messages from families looking to move," Rim said, probably while checking his phone for the fourth and fifth.It's not like this was a bolt from the blue, either. These folks have been stress-testing their escape hatches for months. Rim dished that a solid half-dozen clients had already bolted to Connecticut, prepping for the inevitable red-flag wave over City Hall. "Over the summer, I started hearing families say, ‘I don’t know what we are going to do if this guy wins,'" he explained. "They were like, 'He's going to win, and there's no reason [to wait].'"

And who can blame them? A chunk of these fleeing families are Jewish, and their beef isn't with spoiled gefilte fish, it's with Mamdani's not-so-subtle Israel distaste, which has them eyeing the horizon for safety's sake. Rim put it bluntly: "They're saying they're worried about safety in their everyday life. I don't even think it's a financial thing. I don't think it's the taxes or how much more money they would have to pay to live here." 

In other words, when your mayor-in-waiting treats Israel's right to exist like an optional gym membership, folks start prioritizing survival over skyline views.

Pre-election vibes showed a JL Partners survey had 9 percent of New Yorkers vowing to definitely escape the city if Mamdani waltzed into Gracie Mansion, with another 25 percent mulling it over like that bottle of milk you left in the fridge over your vacation. Now, post-victory, the rubber's hitting the road, or in this case, the I-95 southbound lane.

Rim's latest story is about a family that's erased New York University and Columbia from the college wish list, because nothing says "welcome to adulthood" like waking up in a Mamdani-managed socialist metropolis. "These are families who have been thinking of leaving, been wanting to leave," Rim said. "This is just the final thing that pushed them to New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, or even further."

Even Israel is looking better and perhaps safer than New York City, for Jews.

So here's to the pioneers of the Great NYC Brain Drain 2.0, may their U-Hauls be swift and their new schools free of mandatory "equity" field trips. Meanwhile, back in the five boroughs, the socialists can ponder their utopia: fewer kids, more echo chambers, and a budget shortfall you could pilot a drone through. Cheers to progress, comrades.

What Hunter didn't tell the judge about his bar status may be his undoing

When Hunter Biden's plea deal blew up in his drug addled face, he decided to change his guilty plea to not guilty regarding his business dealings and his gun charge. On Monday the House Oversight Committee interviewed his former partner, Devon Archer.

Archer confirmed that it was Joe Biden who was talking on the speakerphone into meetings Archer attended, and that Joe was the “big guy.”  And we all know the 'big guy' was getting his cut from the shady business deals Hunter was involved in.

Archer also revealed information about another Chinese connection as well as the weird comment Hunter made about the Biden name and “handsome Aryan godlike men.” 

That's all bad for the Bidens, but now there is new information that the brilliant son of the President may be in more trouble again over what he told the judge at his plea hearing. 

During the hearing, no-nonsense Judge Maryellen Noreika asked the whore-chasing Hunter Biden about being a member of the bar:

"You're member of the bar?" Noreika asked.

"Yes…" Hunter said. "District of Columbia & Connecticut."

Hunter was admitted to the bar in Connecticut in 1997 but records indicate that he's been suspended in Connecticut for over two years. A Judicial Branch spokesperson confirmed he was “not in good standing” and had an administrative suspension.

This was uncovered by Kevin Rennie, a Connecticut lawyer and former state legislator, who reported on it in his blog.

Rennie said Hunter should have known better, and he termed it misleading the judge, but that may merely be an indication as to how good a lawyer Hunter Biden is. Perhaps he has been too wrapped up in consulting for Burisma to keep up with his lawyering.

A lawyer who is questioned under oath where he is admitted to practice and fails to include in his response that he is suspended from practice in one of them has misled the court.

He did not give her an answer that, I think most judges would see under these circumstances, was in good faith. It omitted crucial facts.

Biden didn’t keep up with the fees and the requirements so he’s been suspended since March 2021.

Connecticut Judicial Branch spokesperson Melissa Farley said the First Son ‘is currently not in good standing due to Attorney Biden’s failure to register or comply with the Statewide Grievance Committee’s [Minimum Continuing Legal Education] requirement since 2018…and to pay the Client Security Fund fee for 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.’

He was too busy snorting 8 balls from the navels of prostitutes.

The Client Security Fee goes into a fund to help clients who have experienced attorney fraud.

Rennie said he didn’t understand why Hunter didn’t pay the fees or why his attorneys didn’t just make sure that was done before the plea hearing. It comes to only $75, but it's likely Hunter was more concerned about paying Russian hookers than a lawyer's fee in a state where he wasn't going to practice in anyway.

This clearly illustrates Hunter's level of carelessness and mental unawareness of big boy issues.

I'm not a lawyer but I believe that this might constitute perjury.

Former Planned Parenthood Director Kills Himself While Under Investigation in Child Porn Case

Tim Yergeau, 35, was found dead in his apartment in New Haven, CT on Tuesday, just five days after the police screwed up a raid on his apartment and breached the wrong door, The Middletown Press reported.

Yergeau, a former Planned Parenthood director for a company known for killing babies, killed himself earlier in the week as law enforcement was investigating him in a child pornography case.

“The person who died was definitely the suspect in a child pornography investigation and the person who committed suicide,” New Haven Police Chief Karl Jacobson said Wednesday. So Yergeau was likely guilty and issued his own sentence. 

The search warrant allows police to look at Yergeau’s electronic devices, but he was not arrested at the time of the police raid.

“It was an open investigation, so he knew he was going to be arrested,” Jacobson said.

At the time of his suicide, Yergeau worked at the Long Wharf Theatre. However, he previously held the position of director of strategic communications for the Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, The Blaze reported and he had also worked for the New Haven Free Public Library Foundation.

Yergeau was a true woke leftist who promoted LGBTQ+1KBG causes on his social media.

In one Instagram post, he proudly showed a picture of Planned Parenthood buttons with rainbows on them. Another photo showed Yergeau sporting a shirt with the common pro-abortion talking point, “Bans Off Our Bodies,” printed on it. 

So killing babies and engaging in child pornography was his modus operandi. 

In December 2018, the alleged sexual deviant posted, “Excited to announce that today I start a new job on the marketing/communications team at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. Excited to be working on issues I’m passionate about: healthcare access, reproductive and sexual health, diversity and inclusion, civic engagement, and voting rights.”

When police arrived to serve out a search warrant at Yergeau’s apartment, cops mistakenly broke down his neighbor’s door and handcuffed a woman before they realized their screwup. 

“I started running down the hallway; it was just like a movie. They had guns and flashlights on me,” the neighbor Stacey Wezenter said. “They put me against the wall and handcuffed me. I was crying and saying, ‘What’s happening?’”

Wezenter, whose 20-year-old and 4-year-old children were home when police breached her door, said she relives the moment every time she walks down her hallway, so she's probably going to sue.

“What if I had a gun permit? What if I came down the hallway with a gun? Would I have gotten shot? What if my 4-year-old had woken up? Would they have shot him?” Wezenter said Wednesday. “You just don’t do that to people.”

New Haven police apologized for breaching the woman’s apartment and said it had launched an investigation into how the mistake happened.

“Unfortunately, a mistake was made,” Chief Jacobson said. “We feel for the woman and we’re going to do everything we can to make it right.”

Meanwhile, Yergeau is dead and the child pornography case is solved.

State Rep. Robin Comey (D) arrested for DUI after crash near Capitol: video released

Rep. Robin Comey (D-Branford) flipped her 2016 Honda Civic in the middle of Capitol Ave. at 6:07 p,m. on March 16th. She was uninjured and was evaluated with a field sobriety test for drunk driving, which she failed miserably and it was determined she was sloshed. She was unable to follow the police officer's instructions and was handcuffed and taken into custody. The incident took place close to the state Capitol.

Comey, 55, declined medical attention and later consented to two breathalyzer tests. Her blood alcohol level was 0.1446, well above the legal limit of 0.08%

Comey, who could not be reached the following morning, made news in 2021 after having difficulty speaking in an evening House debate, which she attributed then to exhaustion “and regrettably, the wine I had with dinner.” 

Evidently, she wasn't kidding.

House Speaker Matt Ritter said that he is removing Comey from all committee and leadership assignments "until further notice."

Comey made the following statement the day after her arrest:

"I want to apologize to my constituents, my colleagues in the CT General Assembly, my family and friends for my DUI arrest on Thursday night. After much reflection and with the support of my family, starting today, I will begin treatment to better understand the disease that is addiction and to get help I recognize I need. I am deeply grateful in advance to everyone for giving me the time and support I need."

The crash occurred between Lawrence and Babcock Streets, about two blocks from the Legislative Office Building. Several Good Samaritans rushed to help the drunken woman out of her overturn vehicle.

Her vehicle struck two parked cars before it flipped.

One witness said, "She was thinking about leaving the scene. Like she was going to leave the scene and we were like just have a seat until the professionals get here."

John Fetterman discharged on Friday-doctors rule out stroke

Generally speaking, when a person has a stroke, he or she is susceptible to another stroke. In Democratic Sen. John Fetterman's (D-PA) case, doctors from George Washington University Hospital do not believe that this is what happened, saying there was "no evidence of seizures."

“A few minutes ago, Senator Fetterman was discharged from the hospital,” Fetterman’s much needed communication director, Joe Calvello, wrote in a tweet late Friday afternoon.

Fetterman suffered a stroke in May just days before Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate primary – was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after feeling “light-headed” at the Senate Democratic Retreat, Calvello announced this week.

Fetterman had a series of tests: a CT, CTA, MRI and EEG all came back as normal with no evidence of seizures.

“John is looking forward to returning to the Senate on Monday,” Calvello added, while failing to add that Fetterman is unable to process verbal information without the help of a machine.

The news of Fetterman’s discharge came hours after the former newspaper New York Times reported that “aides and confidantes describe his transition to the Senate as a difficult period.” 

A transition to the Senate should not have to be a difficult period for a person capable of handling the job, but Fetterman was not capable of this, even before the beat out Republican Mehmet Oz.

Fetterman had a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted after the stroke.

Comrade Blumenthal speaks at commie award show, touts "Build Back Better"

Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal (CT) appeared at the Connecticut People's World Committee Amistad Awards (CPWC) a Communist Party affiliate political advocacy organization. He appeared at the commie event to hand out certificates of special recognition to the three communist recipients of the awards and was introduced as a "surprise guest."

"We invite you to join the Communist Party in this epic time as we make good trouble to uproot systemic racism, retool the war economy, tax the rich, address climate change, secure voting rights and create a new socialist system that puts people, peace and planet before profits," emcee comrade Ben McManus told the communist audience.

"I'm here to honor the great tradition of activism and standing up for individual workers that is represented by the three honorees here," comrade Blumenthal, a fake Vietnam War hero said, and also pushed Biden's Build Back Better blah blah blah bull.

"There’s a lot to be working for in economic justice, in racial equity, in establishing a $15 minimum wage and holding corporations accountable for the basic treatment of the American people. We need to look at our entire tax system, beginning with Build Back Better."

By economic justice Blumenthal means taking from the rich [except not him, although he is one of the richest senators in Congress with assets nearing $100 million] and redistributing their money to people who haven't earned it.

By racial equity, he means equal outcomes for all whether they have put in the work or otherwise earned it, which in the long run destroys incentive.

While a $15 minimum wage will force businesses like fast food, for example, that hire young people who live with their parents, to raise prices so that people who eat at these establishments, will pay more. And the irony is, the people who eat there are less able to afford higher prices.

By holding corporations accountable for the basic treatment of the American people, Blumenthal is not including the tech giants who only hold conservatives accountable for saying things they disagree with by censoring their voices. They even did it to an American President on the other side of the political aisle.

Blumenthal also spoke out against the filibuster, which he said "has been misused by Republicans again and again and again." 

The filibuster is not "misused" by anyone. It's entire purpose is to limit the powers of the majority party. When the Republicans have the majority, the Democrats love the filibuster and vice-versa.

In concluding his remarks, the communist senator thanked the audience for "your help and support over many, many years."

Putting all his glee aside, once this ambassador of stolen valor got outed for his attendance at a Communist award ceremony, he expressed regret for having done so in a telephone interview Friday with the Hartford Courant.  The fraud claimed that he thought the ceremony "was strictly a labor event."

"If I had known the details, I wouldn’t have gone. ... Let me just say very emphatically, I’m a Democrat and a strong believer in American capitalism. I have been consistently a Democrat and a strong supporter and believer in American capitalism.’' Especially when he gets caught at a Communist award event.

But rather than walking out after emcee Ben McManus clearly invited the audience to "join the Communist Party," Blumenthal stayed and participated in the event, pretending that he goes to so many that he just didn't realize what McManus meant when he invited everyone to join the Communist Party.

If you believe that excuse, well there's no convincing you otherwise.

China is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party on Thursday. If Blumenthal gets an invitation to attend, do you think he'll go?

Lawyers for CT high school female runners ask judge to recuse after forbidding them to call trans athletes 'male'

If President Donald Trump said he now identifies as a woman, would the left refer to him as the first female President of the United States? I think you can guess the answer to that question.

But attorneys representing three biological female high school runners who are attempting to bar biological males from competing against them filed a motion Saturday calling for the judge in the case to recuse himself after forbidding the attorneys from referring to the boys who think they are girls as "males," in spite of the fact they have XY chromosomes and were born with penises and testicles.

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) filed suit in February against the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) on behalf of three girls: Selina Soule, Alana Smith, and Chelsea Mitchell.

The suit challenges the CIAC policy allowing students to compete in the division that goes along with their gender identity [which is based on a psychological disorder known as Gender Dysphoria] on the grounds that it disadvantages women in violation of the Title IX prohibition against discrimination on the “basis of sex.”

It also gives an obvious biological advantage to guys competing as gals. Males, in general, are born with more muscle mass, more fast-twitch musculature, and overall strength than females--that's simply a provable, scientific fact.

During an April 16 conference call, progressive Judge Robert Chatigny chastised the ADF attorneys for referring to the male athletes seeking to compete in the women’s division as “males,” according to a transcript of the call obtained by National Review.

Chatigny:

What I’m saying is you must refer to them as “transgender females” rather than as “males.” Again, that’s the more accurate terminology, and I think that it fully protects your client’s legitimate interests. [Technically, Chatigny is wrong. The more accurate term would be "gender dysphoric males."] Referring to these individuals as “transgender females” is consistent with [pseudo]science, common practice and perhaps human decency. {Since when is going along with someone's mental illness a form of 'human decency'?] To refer to them as “males,” period, is not accurate, certainly not as accurate, and I think it’s needlessly provocative. I don’t think that you surrender any legitimate interest or position if you refer to them as transgender females. That is what the case is about. This isn’t a case involving males who have decided that they want to run in girls’ events. This is a case about girls who say that transgender girls should not be allowed to run in girls’ events. So going forward, we will not refer to the proposed intervenors as “males”; understood?

Actually, the case is about high school boys, who were at best mediocre as male runners competing against their fellow fellows, now winning all their events as "males" running against real females based on their XX chromosomes and their female gear.

Roger Brooks, the lead attorney for ADF, pointed out that the biology of transgender athletes seeking to compete in the women’s division is obviously relevant to the case and, as such, his duty provide a vigorous defense of his clients’ interests required him to use the term “male.”

Brooks:

The entire focus of the case is the fact that the CIAC policy allows individuals who are physiologically, genetically male to compete in girls’ athletics. But if I use the term “females” to describe those individuals — and we’ve said in our opening brief, we’re happy to use their preferred names, because names are not the point to the case. Gender identity is not the point of this case. The point of this case is physiology of bodies driven by chromosomes and the documented athletic advantage that comes from a male body, male hormones, and male puberty in particular. So, Your Honor, I do have a concern that I am not adequately representing my client and I’m not accurately representing their position in this case as it has to be argued before Your Honor and all the way up if I refer to these individuals as “female,” because that’s simply, when we’re talking about physiology, that’s not accurate, at least in the belief of my clients.

And so too would it be just as ridiculous to refer to President Donald Trump as the first female president of the United States if he simply believed [or said] he was a woman, see him tweet.

Brooks further informed the judge that he was “not sure [he] could comply” with the prohibition against the use of “male,” and asked if he would be permitted to simply use “transgender” rather than “transgender females” when referring to the athletes – a request which the judge granted.

The Judge then stipulated that he didn’t want to “bully” the ADF attorneys but nevertheless felt that he had to draw a hard line with respect to the terminology used out of a concern for “human decency.”

So if a guy sees himself as a gal, we have to go along with it or we would be considered indecent because . . . that doesn't go along with the guy's delusion?

Chatigny:

So if you feel strongly that you and your clients have a right to refer to these individuals as “males” [because that's what they are] and that you therefore do not want to comply with my [silly] order, then that’s unfortunate. But I’ll give you some time to think about it and you can let me know if it’s a problem. If it is, gosh, maybe we’ll need to do something. I don’t want to bully you [into going along with my truth], but at the same time, I don’t want you to be bullying anybody else. Maybe you might need to take an application to the Court of Appeals. I don’t know. But I certainly don’t want to put civility at risk in this case.

It seems that the real bullying is by the Court's demanding the attorneys go along with the judge's leftist politics.

In the motion filed Saturday, the ADF attorneys argue that Chatigyny’s order is “legally unprecedented” and disrupts the appearance of impartiality.

The case centers on the participation of two mediocre transgender sprinters, Terry Miller and Andraya Yearwood, who have combined to win 15 girls indoor and outdoor championship events since 2017. The year prior to Miller and Yearwood’s participation against the females, the titles were held by ten different actual girls. The three plaintiffs have competed directly against Miller and Yearwood and have lost to them in nearly every case, but the guys are so mediocre that they have been beaten by the girls on occasion.

“It’s just really frustrating and heartbreaking, because we all train extremely hard to shave off just fractions of a second off of our time. And these athletes can do half the amount of work that we do, and it doesn’t matter,” Selina Soule told the Wall Street Journal. “We have no chance of winning.”

Estranged husband of missing CT mom arrested

New Canaan, CT -- Jennifer Dulos, the Connecticut mother of five has been missing for more than a week. Now her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, 51, has been arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution, New Canaan police said Sunday.

The husband was taken into custody in Avon on Saturday at 11 p.m. and then sent to New Canaan Police headquarters for processing. His woman friend, whose surname also ends in 'is,' Michelle Troconis, 44, was also arrested on similar charges.

The search for the missing mom intensified on Sunday morning at the Fotis Dulos' huge 10,000-square-foot mansion. Over a dozen state police vehicles and two canine units arrived at the home while other vehicles gathered nearby.

Over the past two days, state police obtained deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) samples from Fotis Dulos. He and Jennifer Dulos had been living in marital bliss for 13 beautiful years, but for the past two years they have been in a furious legal battle over custody of their five fabulous children.

The disappearance of Jennifer is being treated as a missing-person case and a criminal investigation.

Jennifer, a 50-year-old brunette, was last seen driving a black Chevy Suburban nine days ago, when she dropped off her children -- ages 8 to 13 -- at their private school in New Canaan. Authorities spent three hours on Friday handing out flyers featuring a photo of Dulos and her vehicle.

Members of the close-knit Connecticut town have been gripped by the case and have shown consternation over the disappearance.

"Stuff like this doesn't happen here," Leila Roxo, told Fox News. "It's a really quiet and safe town. Parents are OK just dropping off their kids and letting them walk around town, eat, have ice cream, buy something and then picking them up. It's pretty safe."

Roxo, who has a 6-year-old daughter, and a surname that reminds one of kisses expressed in letters, said she worries most about Dulos' children and the scars they may carry from their mother's disappearance.

"The 8-year-old is definitely going to remember some stuff," Roxo said sagely. "I don't know how far apart the other ones are, but I have a 6-year-old and I feel like if this were to happen to her, she'd definitely remember."

A vigil for Dulos was held Thursday night at St, Aloysius Parish, where about 200 people gathered in the rain for the thirty-minute service.

"We could be wondering, we could be speculating, we could be guessing," Father Rob Kinnally, the St. Aloysius pastor said. "But it is best that we are praying."

And actually looking wouldn't hurt either.

Student chokes to death in pancake-eating contest: family sues

Caitlin Nelson was a 20-year-old woman at Connecticut's Sacred Heart University who choked to death during a pancake-eating contest. The grieving family has filed a lawsuit against the school in hopes, not to make money, but to raise "awareness of the preventable dangers associated with amateur eating competitions."

Nelson, of Clark, N.J., was participating in Sacred Heart University's 'Greek Week' celebration in late March last year and reportedly began to shake uncontrollably and fell to the floor after eating a lot of pancakes in a short time period.

Two nursing students at the charity event tried life-saving measures before police and paramedics arrived, Fairfield Police Lt. Bob Kalamaras said. The family's lawsuit states that responding officers found a mass of pancake paste "like concrete" in Nelson's airway.

Nelson was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport and later transferred to New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in upper Manhattan, where she died. Lt. Kalamaras said of the incident that it was "a tragic event that started out as something fun."

"Caitlin's family is bringing this case to expose the dangers associated with amateur eating contests and to help prevent other families from having to endure this kind of preventable tragedy," attorney Katie Mesner-Hage of Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder said in a statement. Their firm is representing the family.

"These contests are significantly more dangerous than people realize and it's critically important for the public--especially educational institutions, to understand that certain foods are safer than others and a modicum of forethought can literally save lives."

The family had already lost Caitlin's father, a Port Authority officer, in the Sept. 11 terror attacks. She was studying social work and her organs were donated after her death.

So since the family is suing to make an important point, it can probably go without saying [but I will] that the family isn't suing the school for the money and will only want one dollar in compensation to make their point.

Guy steals car to go to court for car theft

Hartford, CT -- A Hartford man and likely candidate for the local Democratic Party, Jonathan Rivera, had a date in court for stealing a car. In order to make it to his trial on time, Rivera stole another car, police said.

Rivera, 25, [with matching IQ] was at Superior Court in Hartford on Wednesday to answer a charge of first-degree larceny and tampering with a motor vehicle involving the theft of a car on February 17.

While the car-thief [which is another name for socialist] waited to appear before the judge, the Hartford Parking Authority agents scanned license plates for parking violators and got a hit on a white 2014 Subaru Legacy parked near the courthouse.

The plates were reported stolen and the car itself had been stolen from Newington because a key fob was left in it.

Police staked out the car, and when the genius Rivera left court and got in, they arrested him.

He was charged with second-degree larceny and taking a motor vehicle without the owner's permission. He was also charged with blatant stupidity and a serious contender for the Darwin Awards, which is usually award posthumously.

Free Speech Finally Wins as Charges are Dropped

Storrs, CT -- Lucien Wintrich, White House correspondent for the conservative blog, Gateway Pundit, was charged with breach of peace due to a confrontation he had with protesters at the University of Connecticut when he was about to give a speech Nov. 28th titled "It's OK To Be White."

But actually, the confrontation was started by the protesters over Wintrich's right to free speech.

Wintrich was charged after grabbing a woman who attempted to steal his notes for the speech from the lectern. 

He argued that he had every right to retrieve his property, and alas, the charges were dropped by the prosecutor.  "The system corrected itself," he said as he left the courthouse.

"We don't want to create a precedent that people can walk up to speeches they find disagreeable and steal them," he said. "I mean that's really not what America is about."

Except now it seems to be exactly what America has become. Liberals believe they have the right to stifle speech they don't want to hear. Of course, they could walk away or turn off the TV, if that's where it's coming from, but instead, they've become the fascists while pretending it's the speaker.

The fascist who tried to steal his notes, Catherine Gregory, of Willimantic, turned herself in on Sunday to face charges of attempted larceny and disorderly conduct. She is free on $1,000 bond and is due in court next Wednesday.

Wintrich's lawyer, Norm Pattis, said Ms. Gregory and the school will be hearing from him soon.

"Free speech matters. It's okay to be white, black, brown or anything in between," Pattis said. "My client came to Connecticut and was treated like a criminal for no reason."

Hopefully, Gregory will face real consequences for trying to undermine the constitutional rights of Mr. Wintrich.

But I don't hold too much hope that it will happen because a lot of liberals don't believe that it really is okay to be white.

Fake rape victim ready to fake mental issues to avoid jail

Long Island woman Nikki Yovino was only 18 when she lied about being raped in a bathroom by two school football players at her Connecticut college. 

Yovino later admitted, after inconsistencies in her story were found, that she had consensual sex with the two young men in a bathroom in order to win the sympathy of a third guy she wanted to have a sexual relationship with, or something like that. 

Other witnesses also confirmed that she went into the bathroom with the players willingly.

The two young men accused of the crime lost their sports scholarships and were suspended from the team--more than a mere 'bummer'.

Now the case is back in court and the young liar is hoping to have the opportunity to forgo any punishment for her crime and be declared mentally ill on some undisclosed mental health issue. I believe it may possibly be DSM-5 diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder.

But, unlike Trump-haters, I will not suggest she does, in fact, suffer from BPD--I will leave that up to you.

However, we cannot overlook the diagnostic criteria: 

a) Impulsivity: Acting on the spur of the moment in response to immediate stimuli; acting on a momentary basis without a plan or consideration of outcomes; difficulty establishing or following plans;; a sense of urgency and self-harming behavior under emotional distress.

b) Risk taking: engagement in dangerous, risky, and potentially self-damaging activities, unnecessarily and without regard to consequences; lack of concern for one's limitations and denial of the reality of personal danger.

During a brief hearing, a Bridgeport, CT judge granted Yovino's request that her lawyer be present as she undergoes a psychological exam to help determine her eligibility to receive a "Get Out of Responsibility Card" and keep her out of the slammer for ruining the hopes and dreams of two young athletes.

The charges, if she's convicted, could get her five years in prison.

"She's hanging in there," her lawyer, Mark Sherman said of Yovino, making her sound heroic rather than the selfish liar that she is. "She's looking for a result in this case that would not involve jail time," he said, meaning that she hopes they'll think she's crazy enough to get away with her crime.

Prosecutors are against her being enrolled in the 'get-out-of-jail' Supervised Diversion program, which, if she can successfully complete, will get the charges of falsely reporting an incident and tampering with physical evidence dismissed.

However, it will not get the two football players their scholarships back.

After court on Friday, Yovino's mother practically ran out of Bridgeport Superior Court without speaking to reporters.

So, as the Jolly Green Giant once said, "No justice, no peas."

Blumenthal, the real 'deplorable'

"'Stolen Valor' is a term applied to the phenomenon of people falsely claiming military awards or badges they did not earn, service they did not perform, Prisoner of War experiences that never happened, and other tales of military derring-do that exist only in their minds."-- Stars and Stripes 

Sen. Richard Blumenthal is pushing back against what he calls "slurs" from President Donald Trump. He said he will not be thrown off from talking about legislation designed to insulate Special Counsel Robert Mueller by these "slurs" being hurled at him on Twitter by POTUS.

Any American with a pulse, a TV or a computer is probably aware that Mueller is overseeing the investigation of Russia's possible meddling in the 2016 presidential election, as well as an expanding web of related activity that may turn out to be criminal.

Blumenthal said:

"There is an ongoing special counsel investigation. It is real. It is based on facts. That is the important issue. That's what really matters [not his lies about serving in Vietnam]. Our national security and the rule of law are at stake. I am not going to be distracted or bullied by these slurs."

It's only a slur if it isn't true, senator.

Trump referred to Blumenthal as a "phony Vietnam con artist!"

Even MSNBC had a problem with Blumenthal as you can see in the video.

Trump tweeted:

 "Never in U.S. history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like Senator Richard Blumenthal."

Then he tweeted:

"He told stories about his Vietnam battles and conquests, how brave he was, and it was all a lie. He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child. Now he judges collusion?"

I don't know when Blumenthal actually told those stories that Trump describes in his tweet. I also don't know whether or not he cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness. I find that difficult to imagine and chalk it up to Trump hyperbole.

What I do know is that Trump's staunch supporters will believe every word of his tweets.

Blumenthal responded to Trump during a Monday routine news conference at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, Connecticut. The focus was on his support for legislation that was introduced by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R- S.C.) that would allow for a three judge panel to review any attempt by either the attorney general of the acting AG to fire Mueller.

The problem with this, beside the fact that Lindsey Graham is not a true conservative and has opposed Trump since day one, is that slowly and steadily, the judiciary is becoming increasingly more powerful and is taking away what was supposed to be our checks and balances.

The immigration restrictions by the Trump administration have been successfully challenged in district courts in spite of Trump's constitutional right to have made that call.

Now Graham would be okay taking the right of the Attorney General to intervene on an investigation in which they have the right to oversee.

I'm not advocating for Mueller to be fired. In fact, I don't believe it's a good idea for the administration to do that in light of how the left will go to town on the firing. I'm merely advocating for the right of the government to follow Constitutional laws and procedures and not hand over more power to the courts. 

Finally, in the eyes of actual Vietnam veterans like myself, Blumenthal's attempt at stolen valor is disgusting and reprehensible.

Trump may not have been in the military, but he doesn't lie about it. And he also shows tremendous respect for the military, unlike Obama and perhaps even Blumenthal who has served, but lied about how he served.

Former CT co-ed faces 2 yrs on charges of lying about rape

Nikki Yovino, 19, a former student in Connecticut, is accused of faking rape allegations against two football players. She did it in order to gain sympathy from another man.

Yovino is facing two years in prison under a proposed plea bargain. The football players could have gotten around 20 years if they had somehow been wrongfully convicted.

Yovino, a former student at Sacred Heart University, would serve two years in prison and then three years of probation for second-degree falsely reporting an incident and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, the Connecticut Post reported.

"I think the offer is a good one considering the serious allegations in the case," Superior Court Judge Earl Richards said Thursday, as the case will continue June 26.

The attorney for the former football players said he will contact his clients to discuss the proposed deal. They left the school rather than be expelled.

The two football players admitted having sex with Yovino, but say that it was consensual.

"This has just been a nightmare for them," attorney Augustin Sevillano said.

Yovino was charged in February and admitted she made up the accusations to try to get sympathy from another man she wanted as a prospective boyfriend.

Police said she told them on October 15th that she attended a Sacred Heart football club party and claimed two men took her into a bathroom and sexually assaulted her.

"I don't want to be in here, I don't want to do anything," she claimed to have said to the men. "My friends are waiting for me outside, let me go outside."


Witnesses told police that it appeared she went into the bathroom willingly with the footballers. 

Yovino thought that by being raped, the other guy would feel sympathy for her and want to be her boyfriend.

Amber Alert "bad dude" was illegal immigrant

Oscar Hernandez was taken into custody after a high-speed chase on I-99 in Benner Township, Pennsylvania. The chase ended in a crash when Hernandez refused to pull over when a state trooper spotted the car which was the subject of an Amber Alert.

Hernandez was suspected of taking his daughter, a 6-year-old Connecticut girl, on Friday which prompted the Amber Alert.

According to federal immigration officials, Hernandez is a citizen of El Salvador and was deported on November 27, 2013. He has prior felony convictions that include assault and threatening. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) placed a detainer on him, according to an agency spokesman.

The suspect is accused of taking his daughter, Aylin Sofia Hernandez from her Bridgeport, CT home. Police issued an Amber Alert at approximately 2:45 a.m. Friday after they had gone to the child's Bridgeport home and found her mother, Nadia Gonzalez, fatally stabbed.

Another woman at the scene was also stabbed multiple times and was hospitalized; she is expected to survive, police reported.

The child suffered minor injuries in the crash and two state troopers also suffered minor injuries.

Hernandez is obviously an illegal immigrant. Liberals hate the term 'illegal' because it factually describes a person's legal situation in relation to U.S. law, but that's the fact of the matter. 

Under previous administrations we have been inundated with illegal aliens and many of them have committed felonies. This is one of the bigly reasons Trump is president and not a felon.

Our Navy hoping to 'Trump' Russia and China

President-elect Donald Trump is demanding more naval vessels and the Navy is proposing a yoooge shipbuilding boom since the end of the Cold War to meet the growing threats from China and Russia.

The Navy's 355-ship proposal is actually larger than what Trump pushed for on the campaign trail and it will boost shipyards that have been in dire straits due to budget caps.

The Navy's Force Structure Assessment has been revised and is slated to add an additional 47 ships including an aircraft carrier which would be built in Virginia, 16 large surface warships built in Mississippi and Maine, and 18 attack submarines built in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Virginia. The proposal also calls for more amphibious assault ships, expeditionary transfer docks and support vessels.

"Russia and China are going to continue to build up their navies," Matthew Paxton, president of the Shipbuilders Council of America said. "The complexities aren't going to get any easier. The Navy, more than any of the services, is our forward presence. We're going to need this Navy."

One of the concerns over the increase in shipbuilding is the cost, of course. We must find a way to build more ships "in a fiscally responsible way that does not pass the bill along to our children," Sen. Angus King (Me.-I) a member of the Armed Services Committee.

As it stands, the Navy has 274 battle force ships, short of the 308 goal. 

Although the cost may seem prohibitive, investors are optimistic about the Navy's goal. "To the generic military shipbuilder, it's a bull market right now," Ronald Epstein, an analyst at Bank of America's Merrill Lynch division said.

Maybe they can float the Navy a loan.

Congressman-sore loser begs Electoral College to block Trump

A Democratic lawmaker who believes that law only applies when it concurs with his thinking, is lobbying like a desperate crack addict trying to score. He wants the Electoral College to shun Trump and vote for Clinton, the nation's most dishonest incompetent politician. 

Rep. James Himes (D--Conn.) conceded on Monday that the Republicans won the election "fair and square," but he isn't happy about the result and wants things to go his way or he may need to spend the next 4 years (at least) in a safe space.

The whining from Himes comes just a week before the Dec. 19 vote, which is supposed to (and is expected to) affirm the election results whereby Trump beat Clinton with 306 Electoral College votes.

Calling people like Himes a "lawmaker" is an oxymoron.

Himes appeared on the Clinton News Network's (CNN's) "New Day." He said that Trump's refusal to say the Russians hacked Democrats during the election was what prompted his plea to the Electoral College.

Since it isn't fact that they did hack into the Democrats emails, but an educated guess or assumption, Trump has every reason to refuse to say they did. 

What people like Himes doesn't understand is the more they attack Trump with their sore-loser whiney balderdash, the more people who weren't necessarily all "Trumped up" are going to be. The Democrats hate the idea of the Electoral College because it provides the flyover states with some say in the election results, rather than it mostly coming from the more populated states, particularly on the coasts. 

Himes claimed that Trump isn't qualified to be "mayor of a small town in Cnnecticut." 

Himes, to his 'credit',  has a 100% rating regarding pro-choice with Planned Parenthood and believes that any baby at any time can be killed before it comes out of the mother. 

He disgusts me.

Florida Atlantic U. moves to fire their conspiracy theorist

It's baffling and even amazing when you consider who is teaching our college-age kids nowadays. From socialists to communists, hard left liberals and progressives, Black Lives Matters advocates and just plain paranoid morons.

James Tracy 

Take, for example, Florida Atlantic University's James Tracy, an associate professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies.

The Sun Sentinel reported that Tracy recently feuded publicly with the parents of one of the kids who died in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting. 

Tracy is not a stranger to conspiracy theorizing and in 2013 he wrote on his private Memory Hole Blog that the Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, CT was probably staged. The university reprimanded him for not making it clear that his views did not represent those of the school.

In fact, his views don't represent those of a normal human being. It's clear that his blog, Memory Hole is named only half appropriately (he got the "hole" part right).

This academic idiot has since claimed that almost every mass shooting or attack on the U.S. has been a hoax: the Boston Marathon, the Washington Navy Yard in D.C., the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, in South Carolina, and even San Bernadino, CA which was his most recent delusional thought.

Things got really bad last week after Veronique and Lenny Posner, whose son, Noah was killed at Sandy Hook, wrote a letter to the Sun Sentinel accusing Tracy of taunting them. The letter stated, in part that "Tracy is among those who have personally sought to cause our family pain and anguish by publicly demonizing our attempts to keep cherished photos of our slain son from falling into the hands of conspiracy theorists"

They also said that Tracy sent them a certified letter demanding proof that Noah once lived, that they were his parents and owned the rights to the photo. They wrote to the paper stating "We found this so outrageous and unsettling that we filed a police report for harassment. Once Tracy realized we would not respond, he subjected us to ridicule and contempt on his blog, boasting to his readers that the 'unfulfilled request' was 'noteworthy' because we had used copyright claims to 'thwart continued research of the Sandy Hook massacre event.'

Tracy's paranoid Facebook response regarding a "Sandy Hook Hoax" was "The local conspirators in Newtown, such as the alleged parents of the murdered children, including Lenny and Veronique Posner, have made out very well financially, soliciting contributions from generous yet misinformed Americans, where the families have averaged more than $1 million apiece."

The lunatic Tracy went on "The only proof Lenny has produced that Noah died in Sandy Hook is a death certificate he provided to one of the book's contributors, which has been revealed as a fabrication," according to comments made by Tracy. "If Noah actually died, there would have been no reason to fake it."

Gee, I always thought the burden of proof was on the person making the allegations, not the target subject of the allegations. 

This is so Alex Jonesish, another scumcrumpet who makes his money by saying things he pretends to prove. But at least he pretends to prove them.

The university responded Wednesday with this statement:

Today, James Tracy, an associate professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies, was served a Notice of Proposed Discipline--Termination by the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at Florida Atlantic University. In accordance with the University's Collective Bargaining Agreement with the United Faculty of Florida union, by which the University and James Tracy are bound, faculty who receive such notice are afforded a grievance process. James Tracy has 10 days to respond to the notice after which final action may be taken.

The school also said in a statement that it will make no further comment on the matter as it is their practice not to comment on personnel issues.

If you read Tracy's blog you can judge for yourself just how crazy this person appears to be. 

One thing is certain, anyone can say almost anything in the land of the free, but when they make allegations like Tracy, the burden of proof is on him, and all he has are crazy, paranoid theories.

An American Tragedy

Newtown, CT: Adam Lanza, twenty years old, woke up this morning, got his mother's gun and shot her in the face, killing her.  Then he went to the school where she taught and began shooting the children from her class.  Eighteen children died outright and two more died in hospital, and six adults were dead when it was all over.

Lanza used weapons that belonged to his mother, and they were legally purchased.

So what we know is that the shooter shot his mother in the face, then killed the children she loved, and then he shot himself.

I believe that this is not a matter about gun control.  This isn't political.  This is becoming a serious societal issue having to do with the devaluing of human life and the media's glorification of violence.  My heart and prayers goes out to the parents of the children and families of all the victims, whose shock is unimaginable, and whose grief has to be boundless.

Please have the sensitivity to not make this political and keep it in perspective--it was the act of a seriously mentally ill person, an act that needs to be better understood to prevent a recurrence; not to ratify or support a political agenda.
