Sun Sentinel calls FL a "crimson hellscape" after GOP kicks butt, then stealth edits

The day after Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) won a second term along with fellow GOPers kicking butt in their individual midterm elections, the left-wing paper known as the Sun Sentinel, vilified the state as a "crimson hellscape." 

Then the cowards walked their condemnation back after realizing who reads Florida's most circulated rag.

"Nice knowing you, Florida," the Sun Sentinel editorial board wrote the day after the midterm elections. 

"After Tuesday’s stunning election results, the state’s political transformation is now nearly complete, from deep purple battleground to crimson hellscape, an ideal launch pad for Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential aspirations," the newspaper said. Then they removed their collective heads and changed the word 'hellscape' with 'landscape' without explaining the change. 

The Sun Sentinel has not responded to requests by Brain Flushings or other lesser publications for comment.

The editorial continued, "We now await a second-term agenda that may feature an open-carry gun law, tighter abortion restrictions, new strategies to suppress the vote and more charter flights for out-of-state migrants, presented with even more of the governor’s trademark hubris."

In other words, Gov. DeSantis' second term just might relax restrictions the Left has placed upon the Second Amendment ,while allowing more babies to avoid being killed, voters to vote only once per election, and send illegal aliens to sanctuary cities that claim to welcome them.

The outlet followed by reluctantly giving due credit to DeSantis for a "19-point blowout victory" that was "historic and nothing short of astounding." The governor "carried 62 of 67 counties," establishing "a sea of red reflecting an epic Democratic collapse" in Florida.

DeSantis beat the crap out of former Gov. Charlie Crist, earning 1.5 million more votes than his opponent. In 2018, DeSantis won by just 33,000 votes over illegal substance abuser Andrew Gillum.

Sen. Marco Rubio, (R-FL), also cruised to a double-digit win over Democratic challenger comrade Val Demings (she, her) on Tuesday.

The editors accused DeSantis of "racial gerrymandering" and warned that it would be "impossible for Democrats to slow down an extremist GOP agenda for the next couple of years."

That's because the GOP's 'extremist agenda' does not include genital mutilation of children and excludes teaching critical race theory in the schools. It also allows parents to be the parents of their child and not hand over that responsibility to educators.

The editorial board noted how the Florida GOP has not only kept their territory, but expanded it to historic levels. "For the first time since after the Civil War, not a single Democrat holds a statewide office," the board warned, saying Florida Democrats face an uphill battle to regain "relevance" in the state. [They also failed to mention who the slave owners were that the Republicans fought against in the Civil War.]

"After this midterm meltdown, Florida Democrats have dug themselves such a deep hole that it’s impossible to see a path to relevance," the board wrote before urging the party "not to point fingers or seek scapegoats," but instead develop "a long-term strategy to engage young people and Hispanics, register voters and recruit stronger candidates."

DeSantis' top campaign staffer Christina Pushaw posted a screenshot of the Sentinel's article on Twitter, highlighting the use of the phrase "crimson hellscape," before it was covertly changed.

She later taunted the newspaper with a picture of Florida's "beautiful map."

Florida State Board of Education member Ryan Petty tweeted, "Crimson hellscape. That’s a strange way to spell freedom."

The law sides with Florida's Rick Scott re: 'violation' of state constitution

The left has never met a constitution they didn't hate and Florida is no exception.

A state judge on Friday ruled with Florida Republican Rick Scott in ordering that Republicans be granted "immediate" access to requested information about ballots in Broward County, amid lawsuits against the county's top election official, Brenda Snipes.

Snipes is the County Supervisor of Elections for 15 years and was appointed to this position after her predecessor, Miriam Oliphant, was removed for incompetence by then-Gov. Jeb Bush. Snipes has won election for the office in 2004 and has been re-elected every 4 years since.

Her first problem as supervisor was ahead of the 2004 presidential primary whereby a handful of mail-in ballots were sent to the wrong address. She took full responsibility and had her office recheck addresses on remaining mail-ins. One week before the election, her office informed 100,000 voters that their polling place had moved, but luckily on Election Day, things went swimmingly.

Until the actual general election of 2004 when problems were as serious as a scream of "Allahu Akbar!" in a bar. About 58,000 mail-in ballots were not delivered and the post office attempted to figure out what the heck just happened. Snipes' office scrambled to send out replacements.

Like an omen to future elections, the Sun Sentinel reported that the Broward elections office WAS STILL COUNTING BALLOTS DAYS AFTER the 2004 election!

In the 2006 election, after the rest of Florida had finished tallying votes, BROWARD WAS STILL COUNTING because there was a chance that some votes may have been left in machines at polling places, which led to the term, "Thumb stuck in their nether regions."

Even though Gov. Rick Scott tried to purge felons from the voter rolls after his 2010 win as governor, at least five felons voted in Broward County in 2012. The same year, people waited in line past the 9 pm deadline because some locations ran out of ballots. A week after the election, about 1,000 uncounted ballots turned up in a warehouse.

Brenda Snipes

In 2012, Florida came in dead last to report election totals. Initially, Snipes defended her incompetence but eventually agreed to pursuing reforms to end long lines and misplaced ballots.

Snipes' first lawsuit came in 2014 over confused ballot layout, a possible problem in this year's election.

In the August 2016 primary, her office posted election results for early and mail-in voting on its website before polls closed at 7 p.m., which is a violation of state law. Snipes blamed a third-party vendor.

Before the November 2016 election in which Hillary Clinton loss to Donald Trump, a few voters complained that their mail-in ballots were missing the medical marijuana amendment that passed that year.

Then Snipes got sued again.

Tim Canova (I) for Congress lost to U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Weston) in 2016 and sued to see the ballots from that primary in March 2017. Snipes had ordered the ballots destroyed in September 2017, signing a certification that no court cases that centered on the ballots were pending. But under federal freaking law, those ballots were required to be kept 22 months after the election. Snipes had them destroyed after only 12 months.

Now we have Gov. Scott's Senate campaign suing elections supervisors in Broward and Palm Beach county Thursday where "fraud" and "incompetence" have been cited.

In their lawsuit against Broward, Scott, who is narrowly leading in the state's race for a U.S. Senate seat, allege that election officials are hiding critical information about the number of votes cast and counted.

In an emergency court hearing on Friday, state Judge Carol-Lisa Phillips ruled there has "been a violation of the Florida constitution," as well as the states' public records act, by not turning over requested records.

Gee, ya think?

Phillips ordered Snipes to allow for the "immediate inspection" and "photocopying" of the requested records no later than 7 p.m. Friday, hardly giving her enough time to doctor enough records to give the Democrats the win.

Scott's emergency complaint accused Snipes of being "unwilling to disclose records revealing how many electors voted, how many ballots have been canvassed, and how many ballots remain to be canvassed," adding that charges of uncertainty "raises substantial concerns about the validity of the election process."

President Trump, who doesn't like to get in the middle of controversies that don't directly involve him [just kidding] said of Snipes, "She has had a horrible history . . . and all of a sudden they're finding votes out of nowhere."

It is amazing that this incompetent woman has not been fired.

Scott is running against longtime incumbent Democrat Sen. Bill Nelson, a man with a strange voice who always looks as if he had just finished crying.

Florida Atlantic U. moves to fire their conspiracy theorist

It's baffling and even amazing when you consider who is teaching our college-age kids nowadays. From socialists to communists, hard left liberals and progressives, Black Lives Matters advocates and just plain paranoid morons.

Take, for example, Florida Atlantic University's James Tracy, an associate professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies.

The Sun Sentinel reported that Tracy recently feuded publicly with the parents of one of the kids who died in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting. 

Tracy is not a stranger to conspiracy theorizing and in 2013 he wrote on his private Memory Hole Blog that the Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, CT was probably staged. The university reprimanded him for not making it clear that his views did not represent those of the school.

In fact, his views don't represent those of a normal human being. It's clear that his blog, Memory Hole is named only half appropriately (he got the "hole" part right).

This academic idiot has since claimed that almost every mass shooting or attack on the U.S. has been a hoax: the Boston Marathon, the Washington Navy Yard in D.C., the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, in South Carolina, and even San Bernadino, CA which was his most recent delusional thought.

Things got really bad last week after Veronique and Lenny Posner, whose son, Noah was killed at Sandy Hook, wrote a letter to the Sun Sentinel accusing Tracy of taunting them. The letter stated, in part that "Tracy is among those who have personally sought to cause our family pain and anguish by publicly demonizing our attempts to keep cherished photos of our slain son from falling into the hands of conspiracy theorists"

They also said that Tracy sent them a certified letter demanding proof that Noah once lived, that they were his parents and owned the rights to the photo. They wrote to the paper stating "We found this so outrageous and unsettling that we filed a police report for harassment. Once Tracy realized we would not respond, he subjected us to ridicule and contempt on his blog, boasting to his readers that the 'unfulfilled request' was 'noteworthy' because we had used copyright claims to 'thwart continued research of the Sandy Hook massacre event.'

Tracy's paranoid Facebook response regarding a "Sandy Hook Hoax" was "The local conspirators in Newtown, such as the alleged parents of the murdered children, including Lenny and Veronique Posner, have made out very well financially, soliciting contributions from generous yet misinformed Americans, where the families have averaged more than $1 million apiece."

The lunatic Tracy went on "The only proof Lenny has produced that Noah died in Sandy Hook is a death certificate he provided to one of the book's contributors, which has been revealed as a fabrication," according to comments made by Tracy. "If Noah actually died, there would have been no reason to fake it."

Gee, I always thought the burden of proof was on the person making the allegations, not the target subject of the allegations. 

This is so Alex Jonesish, another scumcrumpet who makes his money by saying things he pretends to prove. But at least he pretends to prove them.

The university responded Wednesday with this statement:

In light of numerous requests from media outlets and the public, the University makes the following statement:

Today, James Tracy, an associate professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies, was served a Notice of Proposed Discipline--Termination by the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at Florida Atlantic University. In accordance with the University's Collective Bargaining Agreement with the United Faculty of Florida union, by which the University and James Tracy are bound, faculty who receive such notice are afforded a grievance process. James Tracy has 10 days to respond to the notice after which final action may be taken.

The school also said in a statement that it will make no further comment on the matter as it is their practice not to comment on personnel issues.

If you read Tracy's blog you can judge for yourself just how crazy this person appears to be. 

One thing is certain, anyone can say almost anything in the land of the free, but when they make allegations like Tracy, the burden of proof is on him, and all he has are crazy, paranoid theories.
