Fetter[wo]man checked him/herself into hospital for depression

Sen. John Fetterman/Fetterwoman (D-PA) checked himself into a hospital Wednesday evening for depression, however, his office refers to it as mental health issues but is really depression caused by stress typical of the job of a US senator.

The attending physician of the United States Congress made the hospital recommendation to the Fetterman/Fetterwoman team, which for some reason, wasn't obvious to them.

“Last night, [Feb. 15] Senator John Fetterman checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to receive treatment for clinical depression,” his office said. “While John has experienced depression off and on throughout his life, it only became severe in recent weeks.”

“On Monday, John was evaluated by Dr. Brian P. Monahan, the Attending Physician of the United States Congress,” the statement said. “Yesterday, Dr. Monahan recommended inpatient care at Walter Reed. John agreed, and he is receiving treatment on a voluntary basis.”

Evidently, the senator is really quite depressed and might be at risk of self harm.

“After examining John, the doctors at Walter Reed told us that John is getting the care he needs, and will soon be back to himself,” the statement concluded.

On a serious note, it's quite disgusting how this man is being abused. Worse is the fact that during his campaign, it was never revealed [and they knew] that Fetterman suffered from clinical depression and now the state of Pennsylvania is stuck with him unless he resigns and is replaced by the Democratic governor. It is now obvious they were using him merely as a placeholder so that he could be replaced by a cognitively sentient Democrat.

Even his shameless wife, Gisele labeled anyone who even questioned her husband's health and mental status as an "ableist." Now that John Fetterman is known to be clinically depressed, she wants "privacy." So we are being told that we must respect the privacy of a public figure whose mental status has an impact on our government.

The New York Times reported on Feb. 10 that Fetterman was struggling with "serious mental health" issues. They admitted that he often can't understand words others say to him since having a cerebral vascular accident [aka a stroke] last year that nearly killed him. They also admit that his struggles are much worse when he's under stress [such as when people speak to him, or he needs to speak, or he has work to do in the senate].

In a profound instance of honesty, Fetterman said that when he's under stress, trying to understand what people say to him is like “trying to make out the muffled voice of the teacher in the ‘Peanuts’ cartoon, whose words could never be deciphered,” the report said.

Fetterman’s office released a statement last Friday evening claiming that medical tests from his most recent health episode came back negative.

“A few minutes ago, Senator John Fetterman was discharged from The George Washington University Hospital,” the statement said. “In addition to the CT, CTA, and MRI tests ruling out a stroke, his EEG test results came back normal, with no evidence of seizures.”

“John is looking forward to spending some time with his family and returning to the Senate on Monday,” the statement added.

Of course if he did have a second stroke, they would likely be out of a job, so there's that.

Imagine having a spouse like Gisele Fetterman or Doctor Jill Biden who put their own ambitions ahead of the needs of their husbands'.

Joe Biden angry with his aides for making sense of his words as they see fit

Alleged President Joe Biden is reportedly as frustrated as a hungry cat staring at a fishbowl. His White House staff is taking what he says and saying a sort of facsimile in English and "rush to explain" whatever they want it to mean.

"When I say something I don't want malarkey and I cannot tolerate limericks," he said. "Remember," he said in a whisper as he leaned in at the microphone, "I'm your Commander in Chief. Yours. Your Commander. So no funny business. When I speak, people listen."

NBC "News'" reported that "[T]he so-called clean-up campaign, he has told advisers, undermines him and smothers the authenticity that fueled his rise. Worse, it feeds a Republican talking point that he’s not fully in command." His rise was also fueled by the fact that stuff floats, and that also explains Kamala Hahaharris' rise.

Someone in the White House who covertly runs the administration has ordered that many of PINO Biden's statements be cleaned up, or walked back as they put it. The best example was when the House Plant in Chief made the idiotic statement that Russian President Vladimir Putin "cannot remain in power."

Those words by English-speaking humans call for the forcible removal of a foreign nation's leader, but Biden's handler(s) believe everyone else is stupid and would believe their explanation.

Biden came out of his coma and was angry that his word salad mumblings were being interpreted as unpredictable, according to the NBC report. White House spokesperson Andrew [his school chums called him "Master"] Bates pushed back on the NBC report.

"The breathlessness of paragraphs 1 & 2 versus the denial being relegated to graph 28 tells you what you need to know about this story. And as we've said before, no clarifications of the President's remarks are ever issued without his direct approval," he said in a weird, convoluted bs statement.

"We don’t say anything that the president doesn’t want us to say," an official lied to the outlet in response to a question about clearing up the president's statements.

The White House has walked back and clarified a few statements the president has made, in addition to the one about Putin.

Other Democratic leftists are also frustrated, according to the network.

Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) said that the White House has not been able to introduce an "intellectually honest" inflation plan. The fact that they have no "intellectually honest" inflation plan was lost on her as it usually is on Democrats. Their inflation plan is to blame the GOP, even though the evidence clearly points the other way.

Biden also feels that he isn't getting credit where credit is due from the media or Americans with regard to the economy, NBC reported. He was not referring to food and diaper shortages, high gas prices, huge spikes in inflation. He also avoided speaking about the rise in crime and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He may have also forgotten to mention the bellicose situation we face with Iran and China, not to mention Vladimir Putin again.

Yeah, he's doing a bang-up job . . . if you're in the business of destroying the country.

The so-called president said that he doesn't think the Republican Party is shouldering enough blame for lack of action in Congress in spite of his Party controlling both houses. Biden doesn't know how to accept real responsibility and may have learned that from his son, Hunter.

"The president has also told aides he doesn’t think enough Democrats go on television to defend him," the report said, adding that the fact that his poll numbers were lower than former President Donald Trump was a huge "sore spot."

An anonymous source told Brain Flushings that the reason Democrats refuse to defend him is because they believe his brain is on its last legs. They don't expect that he will be running for a second term if he isn't in a nursing home by then. If he does run and knows it, the chances are good that he will have a primary challenge by someone who is willing to take and share a cognitive test.

One top Democratic donor told NBC that "all he's hearing is 'why can't you get anything done?'"

Comedy News Network's (CNN) Stelter does it again

Brian Stelter appearing on "CNN Hoes"
They don't call it the Comedy News Network for nothing. Their "Reliable Sources" [hahahahaha] host, Brian Stelter told a knee-slapper on Sunday when he criticized conservative pundits and talk radio hosts for speculation about presumptive Democratic nominee Joe "C'mon, Man" Biden's cognitive ability and fitness for the presidency after he, the bald-headed dolt, did the same with President Trump for years.

And if you think that Biden isn't being told to hide away from the public, ask yourself why is his wife, Jill Biden, appearing in public, but not the presumptive nominee.

Stelter joshed with the American public when he called recent criticism of Biden's mental health "mind boggling," "offensive" and then went on to label that kind of rhetoric "negative partisanship."

Really? Has he not been listening to Biden's blather? His forgetfulness? His lack of orientation to person, place and time? Does Stelter think that just because Biden went on a bike ride [sans helmet, by the way, but wearing a mask ON A BIKE RIDE!] that this makes him fit to run the most powerful nation on the planet?

“At some point, don't Stelter’s bosses have to recognize what an absolute embarrassment he is to their network?” conservative strategist Chris Barron told Fox News. “Stelter spent weeks wildly spreading baseless conspiracy theories about Trump’s mental health and now he has the audacity to question others asking questions about Biden?”

“It is so hateful,” Stelter whined, a tear slowly meandering down his chubby cheek, claiming that “negative partnership” directed at Biden from the right is more extreme than anything the left says about Trump.

C'mon, man. Give me a break.

Cornell Law School professor and media critic William A. Jacobson said he couldn’t fathom what he was hearing and told Fox News that Stelter’s commentary and show raises a very serious question.

Perhaps it's Stelter whose cognitive decline needs a looking into.

“Has Brian Stelter ever watched CNN, which demeans Trump around the clock as a racist, mentally unstable Putin puppet? Or any of the other major networks that spread Russia collusion conspiracy theories for years, and whose reporters go to White House press conferences for the sole purpose of trying to bait Trump into a reaction so they can get retweets on Twitter?” Jacobson asked.

Evidently not, if he isn't being dishonest.

When even the Young Turks, the far-left lunatic podcast, questions Biden's brain, as did other liberals like Joe Rogan, you know that Stelter is just being funny. And let's not forget that The Babylon Bee has gone after Biden's mental health recently after his gaffes were no longer funny but an area of concern.
Photo: Babylon Bee
Stelter told his 32 viewers on Sunday that only far-right conservatives would ask such questions [of a presidential candidate who may be demented].

“Is the president of the United States a racist? Stelter asked to open an episode of his show in 2017. “Is he suffering from some kind of illness? Is he fit for office? And if he is unfit, then what?”

Is Brian Stelter a self-loathing racist? Is he suffering from an incurable mental illness? Does he lose a hair follicle every time he lies? Although he is fit for CNN, is he he fit for TV? If not, then what? If not him, who?

Media Research Center vice president Dan Gainor mocked the segment as “four liberal journalists sitting around pretending liberal journalism doesn’t exist,” simply to make a point.

“Brian Stelter spends every show like he’s trying to do a remake of the movie ‘Clueless’ but for a much smaller audience,” Gainor told Fox News. “He complains about ‘negative partisanship’ when he runs the most negatively partisan show in the history of television.”

“This is the same Stelter who said Trump’s actions could be described as ‘crazy,” Gainor said. “Now he’s incensed that anyone might question Biden’s diminished mental ability and calls such comments ‘offensive and otherworldly.’ What’s offensive is that Stelter claims his show is about journalism.”

Hahahahaha. So true. Stelter is a bald-headed dolt.

Stelter then tried to gaslight his meager audience and said that “entire media companies essentially exist to tear down Joe Biden,” and asked if there is “an equivalent to that on the left to tear down Trump.”

Hmm. I can think of a few "equivalent" media outlets, Brian. Where do you keep your head when you're not being a moron? I think I know.

Seattle: The homeless brag about slapdash 'mansion' near Space Needle

Seattle, one of the most beautiful cities in the United States, has now become home to a horde of homeless people. They are bragging about the mega tent slapdash "mansion" they've thrown together near the famous Space Needle and they don't appear to have any plans of leaving anytime soon and are taunting local politicians.

"If you can live on the street and not pay rent, then why would you pay rent?"

The camp is located on a small patch of grass on Third Avenue and Broad Street. It's only about a half-block from the Space Needle and surrounded by multi-million dollar high-rise condos.

Those homeless sure know how to live and taunt.

"It is a form of protest," said Melissa Burns, a "mansion" dweller, to Q13 News. "We're staking a claim. We're refusing to cower in our tents."

Prior to this, Ms. Burns was living in a nearby public park where she was one with the squirrels and pigeons (aka sky rats).

"We've got the doors, the couch, the table," she said. "We've got the living room here, which is a mess right now because we're still constructing, but we're putting up the vinyl to cover it up, make it more attractive."

Yes, vinyl is a great way to make furniture look more attractive. Burns must have been an interior decorator before moving out into the world.

She went on to explain that the sprawling homeless-stead is made of wood pallets, chairs, tents, umbrellas, tarps and whatever other garbage people pick up that feed their visual hallucinations. She admitted it isn't a "discreet" construction.

"Some people are cheering us on, and some people are really angry about it," she said, referring to people who aren't homeless. Those who cheer live nowhere near the "mansion." Those who are angry are likely those living in the condos nearby.

Mental health teams are working with Seattle officials to come up with a way of convincing the homeless squatters to disperse and go away. Perhaps if they offered them jobs, they would run like gazelles being chased by lions.

At this time, spokesman Will Lemke said the city has no plans to remove the camp, but that may change in the future if [when] there's a problem with the law, public health and the safety of those in the "mansion."

APA calls for end to 'arm chair' psychiatry

The American Psychiatric Association, the largest of its kind in the world, is calling for an end for people diagnosing people they don't like in absentia. In other words, they don't approve whatsoever of "arm chair" diagnosing such as we've seen the leftist media do with President Trump.

The APA released a statement earlier this month reaffirming its commitment to "The Goldwater Rule," which says that it's unethical for psychiatrists to diagnose public figures they have not personally examined.

And speaking of personally, I believe psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers who practice this quackery should lose their license and pay a fine.

In the case of Yale University psychiatry professor Dr. Bandy X. Lee, she claimed to have recently met with over a dozen Congress members to discuss the President's mental health, without having met Mr. Trump. Since Dr. Lee has no license to practice psychiatry, the fine should be greater since she has less to lose.

The APA argues that public speculating/diagnosing by psychiatrists "undermines the credibility and integrity of the profession and the physician-patient relationship."

In other words, the APA is hammering home the point that psychiatry is actually a real profession.

"A proper psychiatric evaluation requires more than a review of television appearances, tweets, and public comments," the statement read. "Psychiatrists are medical doctors; evaluating mental illness is no less thorough than diagnosing diabetes or heart disease [as Sanjay Gupta did without actually meeting with the President]. The standards in our profession require review of medical and psychiatric history and records and a complete examination of mental status. Often collateral information from family members or individuals who know the person well is included, with permission from the patient.

"Using psychiatry for political or self-aggrandizing purposes is stigmatizing for our patients and negatively impacts our profession."

But it looks like Dr. Lee didn't get the message and went ahead anyway.

Maybe Trump can sue her, as is his wont.

Canadian beheader back on the streets

Winnipeg, Manitoba -- Will Baker, a Canadian man formally known as Vince Li, beheaded and began chomping on a fellow passenger on a Greyhound bus back in 2008, is now back out on the street and given his freedom.

The Manitoba Criminal Code Review Board announced Friday that they have given Baker an absolute discharge and now does not need to be monitored. However, he will not be living in the vicinity of any members of the Manitoba Criminal Review Board.

Baker is a diagnosed schizophrenic who killed Tim McLean, a carnival worker who was a complete stranger to Baker. A year after the beheading Baker was found not criminally responsible due to mental illness.

The victim's mother, Carol de Delley, was outspoken against freeing Baker saying there is no way he could be monitored to ensure medication compliance. But she declined comment in a Facebook Friday post saying: "I have no words."

Initially, Baker was confined to a secure wing of the psychiatric hospital but was given more freedom every year as he didn't tend to behead anyone.

He's been living alone in a Winnipeg apartment, eh, since November, while still being monitored to ensure he was being compliant with his meds.

Baker's doctor Jeffrey Waldman, who lives nowhere near Baker, told the board that he is confident the patient will remain on his medication and continue to work with his treatment team if released. He added that Baker knows that it's the medication that keeps him from wanting to kill strangers.

The review board's decision said it "is of the opinion that the weight of evidence does not substantiate that Mr. Baker poses a significant threat to the safety of the public."

Dr. Waldman said Baker will visit his native China if released but would live in Winnipeg for the next two or three years. He is on the list for a post-secondary training program, perhaps focusing in on taxidermy or a similar area that involves using sharp instruments. Whatever it is, he plans to establish a career in the city.

Baker has been in Canada since 2001 and became a citizen four years ago.

The incident Baker was institutionalized for occurred when he sat next to 22-year-old McLean on the bus after he smiled and asked how he was doing. Then Baker said he heard the voice of God telling him to kill the man or "die immediately."

It isn't certain how he knew it was God and not simply the radio in his brain.

He then repeatedly stabbed McLean as passengers beat a "hasty Iraq army-style retreat" off the bus. The immigrant continued stabbing and mutilating the body before he was arrested. He severed McLean's head and displayed it to some of the passengers outside the bus, witnesses said.

Canada's Supreme Court ruled in 1999 that a review board must order an absolute discharge if a person does not pose a significant threat to the public, and that there must be clear evidence of a significant risk to the public for the review board to continue imposing conditions after the perpetrator is found not criminally responsible.

Conservative Parliament member James Bezan criticized Baker's release.

Many American conservatives concur.

Ft. Lauderdale Airport shooter grilled for hours

Esteban Santiago has been identified as the shooter in the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in the Friday murders of 5 and wounding of 8 people. It was learned that Santiago visited the FBI Anchorage office in November and told them he was being forced to watch ISIS videos. He believed US intelligence had infiltrated his mind and were forcing him to watch the propaganda videos.

According to sources, Santiago seemed agitated and incoherent during that interview, and it seemed obvious that he was suffering from a mental disorder. But not severe enough, evidently, to prohibit him from taking a gun along with him for the flight from Alaska to Florida.

After the November contact, the FBI called local authorities who took custody of him and brought him to a local hospital "for a welfare check."

According to his brother, he had been receiving psychological treatment, but it isn't clear if he was receiving anti-psychotic medication(s) for his schizophrenia, are just a good talking to.

The sources said that the November incident prompted the FBI to open an investigation on him that led to family interviews, database checks and an interagency interview. It was believed (by James Comey) that there wasn't enough credible information to commit Santiago or indict him for anything because no prosecutor would go forward with the case.

Yet, in recent years, Santiago had a series of incidents with the law.

Not quite one year ago, he was charged with fourth degree assault and damage of property in Anchorage where he lived from 2014 to 2016. (The fact that he never wore a winter coat should have alerted authorities, but that's another story.) One of the charges was dismissed by the local prosecutor two months later.

One of the charges may have been related to domestic violence but the case was resolved after Santiago agreed to enter an agreement of deferred prosecution. The charges were dismissed by the state prosecutor in exchange for completion of requirements.

Santiago served in the Puerto Rico National Guard and the Army Reserves prior to serving in the Alaska Army National Guard and was honorably discharged four months ago from his last post at Fort Greely, Arkansas as a Private First Class. He served 2 years in Iraq after which he started acting strangely, according to an aunt in Hudson County, NJ.

Santiago has a concealed carry permit and properly checked in his weapon prior to boarding--he evidently didn't want to get into any trouble. Maybe his becoming a dad this year cooled his jets until he landed in one in Florida today.

So did Esteban Santiago think he was somehow fighting for ISIS?

Santiago is behind bars and faces federal charges, the FBI announced Saturday. The official charges will be announced later in the day. The Special Agent in the case is George Piro who said that the suspect was questioned for hours and they have looked into his social media footprint and where he has traveled in the past.

Terrorism may have been a "potential motivation" for the attack, Piro said, and the FBI hasn't ruled anything out. "The indications are he came here to carry out this horrific attack," Piro said.

Santiago was not on any no-fly list, according to the FBI. Just because he approached them in Anchorage and told them an intelligence agency made him watch ISIS videos is no reason to put him on any no-fly list.

The suspect used a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun in the attack, Piro said. (I'm guessing Glock.)

One update has been made thus far: Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said that 6 people, not 8, were wounded as originally reported. Three were in ICU and three were in good condition.

Santiago has a history of mental health problems, some of which came after he served in Iraq. He was receiving psychological treatment in Alaska, but nothing, it seems, was enough to put him on a no-fly list, and nobody worried that he took along a gun in his suitcase.

But I bet they checked his shampoo bottle and shoes.

Florida Atlantic U. moves to fire their conspiracy theorist

It's baffling and even amazing when you consider who is teaching our college-age kids nowadays. From socialists to communists, hard left liberals and progressives, Black Lives Matters advocates and just plain paranoid morons.
James Tracy

Take, for example, Florida Atlantic University's James Tracy, an associate professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies.

The Sun Sentinel reported that Tracy recently feuded publicly with the parents of one of the kids who died in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting.

Tracy is not a stranger to conspiracy theorizing and in 2013 he wrote on his private
Memory Hole Blog that the Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, CT was probably staged. The university reprimanded him for not making it clear that his views did not represent those of the school.

In fact, his views don't represent those of a normal human being. It's clear that his blog, Memory Hole is named only half appropriately (he got the "hole" part right).

This academic idiot has since claimed that almost every mass shooting or attack on the U.S. has been a hoax: the Boston Marathon, the Washington Navy Yard in D.C., the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, in South Carolina, and even San Bernadino, CA which was his most recent delusional thought.

Things got really bad last week after Veronique and Lenny Posner, whose son, Noah was killed at Sandy Hook, wrote a letter to the Sun Sentinel accusing Tracy of taunting them. The letter stated, in part that "Tracy is among those who have personally sought to cause our family pain and anguish by publicly demonizing our attempts to keep cherished photos of our slain son from falling into the hands of conspiracy theorists"

They also said that Tracy sent them a certified letter demanding proof that Noah once lived, that they were his parents and owned the rights to the photo. They wrote to the paper stating "We found this so outrageous and unsettling that we filed a police report for harassment. Once Tracy realized we would not respond, he subjected us to ridicule and contempt on his blog, boasting to his readers that the 'unfulfilled request' was 'noteworthy' because we had used copyright claims to 'thwart continued research of the Sandy Hook massacre event.'

Tracy's paranoid Facebook response regarding a "Sandy Hook Hoax" was "The local conspirators in Newtown, such as the alleged parents of the murdered children, including Lenny and Veronique Posner, have made out very well financially, soliciting contributions from generous yet misinformed Americans, where the families have averaged more than $1 million apiece."

The lunatic Tracy went on "The only proof Lenny has produced that Noah died in Sandy Hook is a death certificate he provided to one of the book's contributors, which has been revealed as a fabrication," according to comments made by Tracy. "If Noah actually died, there would have been no reason to fake it."

Gee, I always thought the burden of proof was on the person making the allegations, not the target subject of the allegations.

This is so Alex Jonesish, another scumcrumpet who makes his money by saying things he pretends to prove. But at least he pretends to prove them.

The university responded Wednesday with this statement:
 December 16, 2015
In light of numerous requests from media outlets and the public, the University makes the following statement:
Today, James Tracy, an associate professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies, was served a Notice of Proposed Discipline--Termination by the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at Florida Atlantic University. In accordance with the University's Collective Bargaining Agreement with the United Faculty of Florida union, by which the University and James Tracy are bound, faculty who receive such notice are afforded a grievance process. James Tracy has 10 days to respond to the notice after which final action may be taken.
The school also said in a statement that it will make no further comment on the matter as it is their practice not to comment on personnel issues.

If you read Tracy's blog you can judge for yourself just how crazy this person appears to be.

One thing is certain, anyone can say almost anything in the land of the free, but when they make allegations like Tracy, the burden of proof is on him, and all he has are crazy, paranoid theories.

Rep. Andre Carson: Taqiyya or stupidity?

Is radical Islam a mental health issue? Rep. Carson (D-Ind) thinks it is, and he's actually a Muslim. Does it mean that he hasn't actually read his own book of scripture, the so-called holy Koran?

Or does it mean that, like his other Muslim brother in Congress, Keith Ellison (D-MN), he knows exactly what's inspiring these young, religious men to kill anyone who does not believe in Allah and Mohammad the same way he does?

It's called Taqiyya. In the website Inquiry into Islam, the term is explained quite well and it seems to fit the mold into what apologists like these two Congressional idiots say about the religion of peace and what you may hear by other Muslims.

Rep. Andre Carson sits on the House Intelligence Committee and he says that he's "very and pleased" the shooting of the jihadist wielding a knife in Boston "was shown to community leaders and faith leaders and the family, so that their story can be corroborated." Carson, who was once a cop, added, "It is clear that radicalization is becoming more widespread in our country."

Then Carson went all Taqiyya on us and said: "And the greater question becomes, if, in fact, law enforcement is monitoring Muslims in particular, in a case like this, intervention should have happened, and we need to have a larger discussion about mental health issues in our country."

Jake Tapper of CNN then asked Carson if the suspected cell acted the way they did due to mental health problems rather than Islamic inspiration for jihad. Of course, Carson wasn't going to admit that without getting an Islamic demerit (which, like all Islamic demerits merits death) so he said that there were a "multiplicity of issues at play."

"I think mental health is clear," Carson said, meaning that the mental health of the terrorist was just fine (i.e., clear).

So according to Carson, every swinging sword-bearer of ISIS has a mental health issue. I feel so stupid--I thought Marie Harf was correct when she said these guys need jobs and they'll have something else they can do with their hands.

"I think many of these so-called jihadist movements are tapping into big pockets of disillusionment with government with their own personal lives and we could bring in sociologists to talk about some of those new religious movements that emerged since the 20th Century," he obfuscated.

Carson referring to these jihadists as "so-called jihadist movements" is an example of how many Muslims in government, or in terror-supporting organizations like CAIR, use Taqiyya to cover up the truth. Their thoughts: "If it was good enough for Mohammed to prescribe deception to further the cause of Islam."

"I do know that there's a history in this country dating back to J. Edgar Hoover's counterintelligence program, where we saw government overreach and we saw civil liberties being encroached," he said. "So I think there has to be a healthy balance."

Like the Muslim scholar, Al-Tabari, explained about this verse: "If you [Muslims] are under their [infidels'] authority, fearing for yourselves, behave loyally to them, with your tongue, while harboring inner animosity for them . . . Allah has forbidden believers from being friendly or on intimate terms with infidels except when infidels are above them [in authority]. In such a scenario, let them act friendly toward them."

This is where the term "lying sack" comes from--it did not originate on Capital Hill, but it certainly has been perfected there.

Weapon Control and Idiots

If you're going to try and legislate gun laws it might be a good idea to know what a gun is. Of course, if you were in the military, you never called a weapon a "gun," because one is for shooting and one is for fun, as they say, but you get the drift.

How Liberals See All Guns
Colorado Rep. Diana DeGette, a Dumbocrat, hasn't a clue of what a gun is, much less what a "magazine" is, and she has even less of a clue as to how they work--but she wants to be able to regulate them. She couldn't regulate her house thermostat. Here's the dimwit's quote: ”I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

Let us pray that people of the lawless pursuasion do not figure out that once their weapons magazine is spent of bullets (military guys know them as "rounds"), they can go to the bullet store and buy refills, just like they can for their ballpoint pens.

And let's not tell New York Govenor Cuomo that it's generally a bad idea to legislate the police out of their guns while doing nothing to stop those who might use guns to put holes in them with illegal firearms. He had to repeal his own law--the greenies must be upset about his waste of trees.

Now we have a scary term that sure to frighten the bejeezus out of folks from the left: "ASSAULT WEAPONS." These are scary looking rifles, generally semi-automatic, but they look like they can take out a platoon of Recon Marines and SEALs, and whenever a gun control advocate sees one, she or he experiences the vapors and may swoon uncontrollably. But what is an assault weapon really? Aren't all weapons assault weapons? The term is used by the left to make semi-automatics sound like granade launchers, flame throwers, and bazookas (that would be a 3.5 mm rocket launcher to you ex-marines).

If just one teacher, janitor or administrative staff had a firearm at Sandy Hook on that fateful day, Adam Lanza would not have been able to kill as many as he did. The number of rounds in his weapons had nothing to do with the number of innocents slaughtered. It was the fact that there was nobody able to retaliate. No gun control law would have done anything to have stopped him--only a firearm would have.

The problem is not gun control laws. The problem is mental health issues and the way violence has become part of our entertainment in the movies and videos. The problem is also the idiots who refuse to actually look deeper into what may be the causal stimuli to the violence because the entertainment industry makes huge financial contributions that keep these idiots in power.

Why Liberals are Wrong About Gun Control

Gun control is hot on the burner again. Liberals have the fantasy that if we put regulations on the ownership of guns, like liberals have put enormous regulations on business, this will solve the problems of the lunatics who go out and kill innocent victims.  This will be as effective in preventing these crazy killings as the business regulations have been on improving business.  In states where there has been gun control, the problem still exists.  We will always have crazy people who do horrible things, whether they do it with guns, like in Newtown, or with a knife, like in China this week.

Liberals want a simple solution because the problem with these murders registers with the least logical part of their brains, their emotions.  If we keep people from getting guns, then people cannot shoot other people with guns and the problems with guns will be solved.  Presto.

If this were only true.

Max Fisher, in the Washington Post (12-14-2012) speaks to the fact that the USA has a significantly higher number of gun-related killings than all other developed country--about 20 percent higher than average.  This means, according to Fisher, that you are twenty times more likely to die of a gunshot wound in the USA than in most other nations.  (Curiously, Mexico, Syria, Libya, and Egypt were not mentioned).  It almost sounds like just by going out your door, you stand a really good shot at getting shot.

It's the old liberal mathematical fallacy about cause and effect: the more guns, the more people will be killed by guns.  That's like saying that 97.3% of all people who died of lung cancer in the USA were daily users of toilet paper, therefore toilet paper causes cancer.

Professor Stephen P. Segal studied murder rates and mental treatment policies in a report entitled "Civil Commitment Law, Mental Health and Services and US Homicide Rates."  The shocker was his finding that "less access to psychiatric inpatient beds, and more poorly rated mental health systems were associated with increases in homicide rates of 1.08 and 0.26 per 100,000, respectively."  And the real clincher was the fact that there was a far different rate of homicides between states with different involuntary civil commitment (ICC) laws.  Segal stated: "Broader ICC criteria were associated with 1.42 less homicides per 100,000."  In other words, the easier it was to commit some crazy person with homicidal tendencies, the greater the decrease in homicide--the decrease being around 1/3 fewer incidents.  In fact, where the prison population was examined in Indiana, it was found that at least 18% who committed violent crimes with firearms, were schizophrenic or otherwise mentally ill.

So the NRA is correct in saying that guns don't kill people; people kill people.  But even more importantly, seriously mentally ill people kill people at disproportionate rates.

As a former psychotherapist-turned-writer, I believe that a big part of the problem lies within the entertainment industry.  Movies glorify violence and video games gives you practice at it, but with a detached, psychological distance.  Interestingly, the movie industry is overwhelmingly liberal (just ask Obama), and liberals are the biggest anti-gun group on earth.

We need to be silently respectful.  We need to bury those little children and hug our own.  We need to come up with real solutions rather than "feel good solutions," because those do not work.

We need to love, and we need to pray.  We need to treat each other better--we're all Americans, but you almost wouldn't know it anymore with the current administration.

Peace and love.
