Rachel Maddow says USA doomed if Trump wins again: she's blowing smoke

It looks like the United States of America was able to sneak past destruction when former President Donald Trump was President Trump. We almost became the Untied States of America and only by incredible luck were we able to make it past the four years of his term. Thankfully, Joe Biden somehow pulled an historical number of votes from his nether regions to defeat him in the last election and win the presidency by a whisker.

At least that's what MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow [aka: Rachel Madcow] thinks.

Maddow claimed Monday that Trump's re-election pitch is that he will end politics in the country if given the opportunity.

Evidently, his former term as President proves her point. There were no wars started, the economy was getting into high gear, jobs were plentiful, and our enemies weren't doing enemy things. So Trump's track record somehow scares Maddow because he's Trump.

"Donald Trump is not leading the Republican Party and leading the Republican field of candidates because of his youthful vigor or because of his eloquence. None of that is going on," Maddow told Psaki, the former ginger White House press secretary for President Biden and her current colleague at MSNBC.

Biden, however, is leading the Democratic Party and his leftist colleagues because of his youthful vigor and eloquence, except when he can't walk up a flight of stairs, find his way offstage, or speak two sentences consecutively.

Maddow argued that Trump is increasingly being honest about his dictatorial ambitions to his base, [unlike Biden who never met an executive order he didn't override, or law he didn't uphold as dictator].

"What he's offering is what he both inherently offers and now, more and more, explicitly offers, which is that ‘if you pick me, that’s the end of politics,'" Maddow claimed.

The MSNBC anchor summarized the deal that American voters would get in the scenario that Trump wins the 2024 election and causes, in her view, the collapse of the American political system, because that's the tune the left always whistles to scare the public.

"You won't have to deal with politics anymore. You won't have to deal with contested elections. You won't have to deal with contests or divisions when it comes to power. You'll have a strongman leader, and I'll just do what I want. Won't that be a lot simpler?" Maddow said, paraphrasing Trump's re-election pitch, which she purposely takes out of context.

Doesn't Maddow understand the system of checks and balances and the fact that he was President once before and that didn't happen or even come close to happening? If he wins, he can only serve one term as President and there is no way he, or anyone in that position can become a dictator?

"That's what he's offering," Maddow falsely claimed. "That strongman model is what the Republican base is enthused about. That sets him apart from every other Republican candidate. And I think that we're naive to think that he's tricking people into picking him and then surprised that he's going to act like a dictator."

"What's he's offering is strongman leadership, the end of politics, the end of elections" and the "sidelining" of major branches of government, like Congress and the Judiciary, Maddow said. "He'll be the man in charge and he'll get it done."

"That's what he's selling and that's what they're very eager to buy," she added, referring to Republican supporters of Trump who the Left gladly demonizes.

Trump made it clear that he and the GOP are not planning to end democracy.

Trump said in a speech hosted by the New York Young Republican Club that claims that he is a threat to democracy are a "hoax" and a "new idea."

Trump went on to say that Democrats and the media "think the threat to democracy will save Biden from having created the worst inflation in our country's history, a fragile economy, that may soon end in a depression like 1929 … We are very, very close to a depression, the likes of which you have never seen. We owe $36 trillion and this guy has no clue."

All the Democrats have is fear and identity politics because their policies have only made things worse. Just visit California's big cities for starters.

NJ teacher yells at kids playing "I hope you get the coronavirus ... die a long, painful death"

She was out without her facemask walking the only thing she seems to love--her dog--when she spotted two high school kids playing football at a local park and that made her go bat-crap crazy. At first she yelled at them saying they were going to be arrested when the cops come, but then she went ballistic: "I hope both of you get the coronavirus. I hope you both die a long, painful death.”

The woman, identified as Nicole Griggs, is a high school math teacher at Steinert HS, according to The Trentonian

[H/T Daily Mail]

She stood beyond a chain link fence with her dog, her face exposed to the dangers of a wayward virus, as she hollered: “Am I screaming loud enough that you can hear me over her music? Parks closed. You will get arrested if the cops come.”

One of the teenagers responded by asking if they could go to another location, prompting Griggs to yell, “Parks closed. The whole area. Get it through your thick head. You are the reason we are in this situation. You are the problem, not the solution.”

Technically, the reason we are in this situation is due to the Communist Chinese government.

Griggs was unperturbed that one of the boys was videotaping the incident as she continued yelling, “Go ahead; keep recording. Who are you going to show it to? Post me on social media. You’re the idiot doing the wrong thing. I’m just trying to save your ass and save your life. But die, okay. I hope both of you get the coronavirus. I hope you both die a long, painful death.”

Even her dog looked embarrassed by her hate-filled attitude.

The boys went ahead and shared the footage on Snapchat and Tik Tok, writing on Tik Tok, “Y’all Mrs Griggs is losing her damn mind how tf is she a teacher #coronavirus.”

One of the boys later stated, “When she said that, I was shocked. I didn’t know someone would say something like that, especially a teacher. She should be smarter with her words.”

Sounds like the kid could teach the teacher a few things about propriety.

On a Facebook page under the alias “Nikki Leigh,” a page that the Trentonian reported belonged to Griggs, a post dated April 6 stated, “We are surrounded by idiots!!!!!! Rode our bikes near Kuser Park this afternoon and what to [sic] we see but a younger couple with their daughter maybe 2/3 years old UNDOING the caution tape around the jungle gym so she could slide. I totally called them out on it, wished illness on them and commented that it was scary to even think they were parents. Their response: ‘We were going to put it back.’”

Whenever someone uses an alias on their Facebook page, it should make you suspicious about the things they post.

Mayor Jeff Martin of Hamilton Township responded to the incident, stating, “This is a very serious thing. We’ve got at least 50 people who have actually died from it, 50 families. It’s not something to joke around about. Teacher or not, it’s unacceptable.” Schools superintendent Scott Rocco added, “We will address the issue immediately.”

The Daily Mail noted, “Hamilton Township has 724 COVID-19 cases and 51 deaths. New Jersey has more than 100,000 cases and at least 5,800 deaths.”

It is not known whether Ms. Griggs lost anyone close to her from the coronavirus.

Study: Owning a gun has little to do with fear

TALLAHASSEE — A recent study out of Florida State University suggests that owning a firearm does not indicate the owner does so due to a fear or phobia. In fact, gun owners tend to report less fear than their counterparts. [H/T Study Finds]

The study's co-author, Benjamin Dowd-Arrow, a sociology doctoral candidate at the university says, “There’s a lot of popular rhetoric in the media and among politicians as to why people own guns. The biggest claim is that they’re cowards. So, we wanted to see if owning guns was truly a symptom of fear.

The researchers used a standard test to measure the level of fear gun owners have in comparison to non-gun owners. Specifically, they investigated phobias and victimization tendencies.

The first analysis investigated whether or not gun ownership was a result of fear. It was found that for the most part, fear was not related to the probability of owning a gun, however, there were some exceptions: adults who reported fear of animals or a potential mugging were actually less likely to own a gun.

On the other hand, adults who reported being afraid of getting caught in a random or mass shooting situation were more likely to own a gun.

The next part of the research explored the fears of current gun owners. Contrary to popular leftist beliefs, it was found that gun owners report fewer phobias and fears of becoming a victim than non-gun owners. These findings were consistent across a variety of fears and phobias, including fear of heights, animals, or being mugged.

“There’s little evidence to suggest that gun ownership is an effect of fear,” Dowd-Arrow says. “However, gun ownership may be associated with less fear because firearms help their owners to feel safe, secure and protected in a world they perceive to be uncertain and potentially dangerous.”

And what's wrong with that?

The study is published in the scientific journal SSM – Population Health.

Islamophobia is a sign of intelligence

How many people have to die at the hands of Islamic terrorism before Islamophobia is seen as a sign of intelligence?

When we hear someone shouting "Allahu Akbar!" it means several things: 1) Allah is great; 2) hit the deck; and 3) run like hell.

A deadly hostage situation at the Radisson Hotel in Bamako, Mali finally came to an end, but not after at least 27 people were murdered for no other reason than being an infidel in one way or another. Infidels are deemed as such if they are not Muslims; are Muslims of a different sect; are gay--whether Muslim or infidel; are lesbian--whether Muslim or infidel; and the list goes on.

John Kirby, the State Department spokesman who will say anything Obama orders him to say, announced the siege "has concluded." He said that about 12 Americans were rescued from the hotel and none were hurt.

Amadou Snagho, a Malian spokesman said that "They are alone with the Malian special forces who are trying to dislodge them," which is a fancy way of saying "Malian special forces are trying to kill them so dead they'll be in so many pieces that the 72 virgins will look for better prospects."

Al Qaeda (no relation to Al Gore, a fat guy who made quite a few bucks selling them Al Jazeer) are claiming responsibility for the Islamic jihadist attack.

It is beyond stupid to hear people like Juan Williams of Fox News try to convince viewers that these Islamic organizations are not really Islamic. They quote the Koran and if you get caught by one of these scumcrumpets, they make you recite a verse from the Koran or you die. I'm not clear as to whether you must already need to know a verse by heart, or they let you read from their "holy" book.

Maybe it's a test and they say to you: "Hey, you wanna live? Let's hear Sura 2: 5." And you go, "Then when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them (captive) and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free, Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."

You've studied the Koran and know your stuff--no way are they going to kill a believer.

But instead of letting you go free, they know you're one of them because you perfectly recited the "Sura of the Sword." So they give you a weapon, probably a Russian model Kalashnikov, and this is your golden opportunity to blow the dickwads away.

Of course it's about Islam. The terrorists are simply more religious, more orthodox, than the average Muslim. But until such time the average Muslim starts fighting against terrorists, or turn them in, or let authorities know about this kind of chatter in their mosque, I believe they must be watched just as carefully as the usual suspects.

One of the hotel guests said that the terrorists told him to recite a Koranic verse before he was allowed to leave--it doesn't get more Islamic than that, or are we conservatives missing something? Al-Mourabitoun, a militant group from Mali, is said to be behind the attack on the Radisson hotel. This has not yet been verified, but I'd bet dollars to gum that if not, then another Islamic group is.

Remember, a phobia is an irrational fear. Being afraid of people who would kill you for not being like them is a sign of intelligence, not irrational fear.
