Colorado terrorist tried to buy a gun but failed: he's an illegal alien

Here’s a shocker: Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national illegally in the U.S., wanted to unleash a mass shooting on a group of pro-Israel demonstrators in Colorado but got tripped up by his own lawbreaking status.

Court filings reveal that the anti-Semite “had to use Molotov cocktails after he was denied the purchase of a gun due to him not being a legal citizen.” That’s right, gun laws actually worked this time, forcing this terrorist to pivot to firebombs and a makeshift flamethrower. But don’t let that fool you into thinking this was some spur-of-the-moment tantrum. This scumwafer had been plotting chaos for over a year.

Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty laid it out at a Monday press conference: Soliman, whose visa expired in February 2023, tried to buy a gun to slaughter demonstrators supporting hostages in Gaza. He even took a concealed carry class to prep for his rampage. But when he hit a brick wall at the gun shop—thanks to his illegal status—he didn’t just give up. Instead, he “researched on YouTube how to make Molotov Cocktails, purchased the ingredients to do so, and constructed them,” according to court documents. This wasn’t some amateur hour; it was calculated.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Soliman’s illegal status. Spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin didn’t mince words: “The Colorado Terrorist attack suspect, Mohamed Soliman, is illegally in our country. He entered the country in August 2022 on a B2 visa that expired on February 2023. He filed for asylum in September 2022.”

So, this guy’s been gaming the system while plotting to kill.

Soliman now faces 16 counts of first-degree murder, plus charges for using incendiary devices and assault. If convicted, he’s looking at over 600 years behind bars, per Dougherty. His attack left a dozen people injured, though thankfully, no fatalities.

He allegedly went after the demonstrators with firebombs and a jerry-rigged flamethrower, targeting a group supporting Israel. FBI Director Kash Patel didn’t hesitate to call it what it is: a “targeted terror attack.” Federal prosecutors agree, slapping Soliman with a hate crime charge.

And get this—Soliman told investigators he “wanted to kill all Zionist people and wished they were all dead.” He tried to spin it, claiming “this had nothing to do with the Jewish community and was specific in the Zionist group supporting the killings of people on his land,” court documents say. Sure, pal. Sounds like a distinction without a difference when you’re lobbing Molotov cocktails at civilians.

This case is a glaring reminder: illegal immigration isn’t just a paperwork problem, it’s a national security issue. Soliman’s plot was foiled by a rare instance of the system catching a bad actor, but how many others are slipping through the cracks?

And while the left keeps screaming about gun control, maybe it’s time they focus on securing the border to keep out people like Soliman, who are hell-bent on turning their hatred into body counts.
