House Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) discussed alleged President Joe Biden's Brittney Griner deal that freed her from Russian incarceration while leaving veteran Marine Paul Whelan languishing in a Russian prison for the past four years.
McCarthy also spoke about the "Twitter Files" released by Elon Musk that discussed the censorship of former President Donald Trump and the Hunter Biden laptop story and its implications. He spoke about the tech giant purportedly suppressing the laptop story just before the 2020 election and told "One Nation" that it's "egregious what we're finding."
"Those 51 intel agents that signed a letter that said the Hunter Biden information was all wrong — was Russia collusion — many of them have a security clearance."
McCarthy said he's going to bring them before a committee and have a hearing.
"Why did they sign it?" he asked. "Why did they lie to the American public? A Clapper, a Brennan? Why did you use the reputation that America was able to give to you more information, but use it for a political purpose and lie to the American public?"
The Speaker promised that he will dig even deeper as to whether Google and Facebook also played a role in suppressing information and if they did, he promises to wag an angry finger at them and call them names because that's basically all that seems to happen as punishment when the powerful misbehave.
McCarthy said they became an arm of the Democratic Party and the arm of government, and that they shouldn't have Section 230 (Communications Decency Act).
The vote for McCarthy's bid to be the next House speaker will happen Jan. 3 on the House floor, and there is a high probability that he will win the vote.
