Biden's tale of grandpa Ambrose Finnegan, the "All-American" guy--no joke

Not only did President Joe Biden stand up to a black gangsta named Corn Pop, get 3 scholarships for law school, graduate at the top of his class, and was wrongfully accused of plagiarism on several occasions and sadly had to drop out of the 1988 presidential race, he also drove an 18-wheeler, is part Puerto Rican and Jewish, and his grandfather, Ambrose Finnegan, from Scranton, was an "All-American" at Santa Clara University. 

And he was not joking.

But of course, I'm kidding. Nothing Joe Biden says should be believed on face value when his lips are moving. As Zach Parkinson, Director of RNC Research tweeted:

Parkinson has called out Biden’s lies in the past, and he just took Joe Biden behind the barn with the evidence in his thread.

Biden had often repeated the same claim about grandpa being an "All-American" football player at Santa Clara. The lie was told so often that Joe may have come to believe it, but probably not.

However, the school has no record of grandpa Finnegan ever being an All-American.

But Santa Clara’s athletic records list no one by the name of Finnegan as having ever been an All-American there

The NCAA also has no record of him, so there's that.

The school believes he attended there, and Finnegan says back in the 1930s, he played football at Santa Clara between 1900-1903. But he was not an All-American as Joe claims. It turns out that the school, Santa Clara, wasn't up to that level of play at that time to have an "All-American." Those who made it to that level tended to come from Ivy League institutions.

The surprising thing in all of the lies Biden tells is that he didn't declare himself an "All-American." And if it was true when Joe claimed to be the first in his family to go to university, if grandpa went to Santa Clara, then Joe was lying then too.
