AOC didn't have difficulty preventing 25,000 people from gaining employment with Amazon when she scared the mega-company from locating one of its headquarters in her New York district in Queen. Now it appears that Antifa's Official Congresswoman has no difficulty putting almost 900 employees of the New York Post out of a job as she backs a boycott of the tabloid after they posted a quote by Ilhan Omar regarding the worst terrorist attack the USA ever experienced.
It's obvious that AOC is less concerned about people in her city than she is about national exposure.
Last week, The Post published a scathing rebuke of anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her comments casually describing the September 11, 2001 terror attacks that left 2,977 people dead, not including first responders who died from cancer caused by the rubble they came into contact with.
Omar referred to the attacks that day simply as "some people did something." Now her fellow freshman congresswoman Rep. Alexandria Obviously-Comatose (D-NY) has come out in support of an attempt to silence The Post and deny New Yorkers' from hearing a conflicting opinion.
"How pathetic: A member of Congress can’t acknowledge what happened on one of the most horrific days in US history," The New York Post editorial board wrote in the featured editorial published last Thursday. "Some people did something? Wow. What a way to describe the heinous surprise attack on America that claimed 3,000 lives."
In response, Obviously-Comatose is actively promoting a boycott targeting the tabloid. On Saturday, the radical former bartender tweeted an endorsement of an initiative started by a group of Yemeni-anti-American grocery store owners.
"Two years ago, Bodega owners across NYC (& cheered by neighbors) shut their shops citywide to protest Trump’s #MuslimBan," she wrote. "Today, that same community is banding together to reject sales of the NY Post at bodegas citywide. This is what real unity (& NYC solidarity) looks like."
The Post, a right of center tabloid, is shaking in their shoes over fears that Yemini grocery stores will put them out of business because four Yemini Americans start every day reading The Post immediately after morning prayers aimed toward the Hajj.
In an interview Sunday with Yahoo News' "Skullduggery" podcast, AOC explained why she's promoting The New York Post boycott.
"There’s aggressive politics. There’s people that won't be fair to you and things like that, and I understand that that’s part of the field that comes with it. But, you know, I think that this is unacceptable," she said in silly comments reported by Yahoo. The paper's attack on Omar, Obviously-Comatose said, was "beyond the pale."
But while she is actively promoting it, the Green New Deal author made a point of stressing that the boycott effort wasn't her idea — her ideas are more radical, ridiculous and unrealistic.
