Democratic congressional candidate and Economics 101 dropout Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may have a mental illness characterized by the psychological defense mechanism known as projection. She said in an interview that the Democratic Party could not compromise with the "insane people" [there goes the projection] on the right holding the country "hostage."
She apparently doesn't understand the word 'hostage.' You cannot hold an inanimate thing hostage.
When asked by Vanity Fair how she intended to balance her quest for rapid progressive [read: socialist] change with the need on Capitol Hill to compromise, the wild-eyed weirdo said that Democrats too often compromise even before getting to the table.
Ocasio-Cortez was describing how Antifa bends over backwards to compromise with conservatives, and how the Democrats are compromising with Republicans over the confirmation hearing of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Ocasio-Cortez is out of her freaking mind but believes it's Republicans who are the crazy ones--projection in its highest form.
"When you're dealing with these insane people holding the country hostage on the right, you can't go in with your end point. You have to go in with a strong position," she pontificated, as if she had an inkling of what she was talking about. "If they're trying to end Planned Parenthood, I don't think we go in with, 'No, let's keep Planned Parenthood.' I think we go in with, 'Let's expand women's rights to health care and have it guaranteed in every state.' I think we can compromise on our tactics and how we get there, but we can't compromise where we're going."
And where she wants us to go is to a socialist government that takes over all industry and health care, and funds the private sector out of remaining the private sector.
Showing her math skills once again, she said she's "a thousand percent" committed to helping Democrats [read 'socialists'] win the House, calling it "existential for the country," meaning that if they don't win it, the country will not exist, everyone will die, and Trump should be impeached because she doesn't like him.
"We are living in a world where impeachment is a realistic possibility," she said, referring, of course, to the historically recent impeachment of Bill Clinton for sexual misconduct. "We're going to square up on Medicare for all. There are certain issues where I'm going to make some Democrats mad if they're trying to deliver paydays for Wall Street donors. But that doesn't mean I'm going to burn the house down over it."
She needs to get over herself. She isn't all that powerful like she believes herself to be.
Her victory in the November midterms is practically assured because the 14th District in New York City is so Democratic there's a donkey [aka: ass] wherever you look.
Ocasio-Cortez is a 28-year-old democratic socialist [aka: socialist] with an IQ that matches her age. She came onto the national scene in June after beating Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY) a lazy campaigner like Hillary Clinton, in the primary.
But to nobody's surprise on the right, she screwed up several times in interviews showing her lack of knowledge about actual issues over which she bloviates such as, unemployment, health care, the Middle East and the existence of the upper middle class. She has also lied about her background and cannot be trusted.
She even believes that Supreme Court justices get 'inaugurated' rather than confirmed.
But this is what the Democratic Party has come to.
Ironically, but again, not surprisingly, Ocasio-Cortez's views have changed now that she is in the political spotlight, especially her views on raising taxes, since her platform involves taking more hard-earned money from successful business owners and giving it to people who did not earn it.
In 2012 she was running her own business, Brook Avenue Press, an incorporated publishing firm for children's books, set in the Bronx. As an owner of the business she came out in full support of a bill that would give tax deductions for business start-up costs, arguing that taxes directly impacted her business profits.
But all that makes her is a typical self-serving politician in the mold of a Hillary Clinton or a Nancy Pelosi.
She's only a democratic socialist when it doesn't involve a loss for herself. That make her a hypocrite too.
