Chicago: 2 murders in 2 days with same gun rocks Jewish community

Tel Aviv -- Douglas Watts, 73, was shot in the head and died. Only 36 hours later, Eliyahu Moscowitz, 24, was also shot in the head and killed by the same gun.

Police believe it was the same shooter. For these murders to take place on Simchas Torah, a Jewish holiday, has rocked the Jewish community and appears to be a clear indication that these were not random killings, but were meant as an anti-Semitic terror tactic.

The left has gone crazy with its acceptance, and even its embrace of anti-Semitism and its alliance with Islamic jihad for the sake of political correctness. Their hostility toward Israel and demonizing the Jewish State with fake atrocities has made "walking while Jewish" a dangerous thing.

Moscowitz was a kosher supervisor at a local grocery. He was simply taking a stroll near Loyola Park when he was murdered by a cowardly masked gunman Monday night, coinciding with the Simchat Torah holiday.

Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said it was too soon to say the murders were hate crimes, but they were hardly love crimes. Watts was gay and Moscowitz was an observant Jew.

Rabbi David Kotlarsky who heads the Chabad community of east Lakeview, and a close friend of Moscowitz, said the entire community is in shock over Moscowitz's death. Both had studied in the same yeshiva.
