Sean Spicer causes Emmy's to be at all-time low

You can't blame Stephen Colbert for the toilet-tanked ratings the Emmy Awards got Sunday night. Everyone loves Colbert, just ask him.

But when Colbert brought out former Trump Press Secretary Sean Spicer near the beginning of the show, everything was ruined.

Liberals who don't normally watch Sunday Night Football flipped to the game (in spite of the lowered ratings due to conservatives refusing to watch a bunch of capitalist millionaires refusing to stand for the National Anthem).

Those who never watch tennis turned on the Davis Cup and saw France's Tsonga win his match against some dude from Serbia or some country starting with an 'S'.

The irony is not lost on those who heard Spicer do a Trump-like schtick declaring the CBS Emmy show would have "the largest audience to witness an Emmys, period--both in person and around the world."

Last year's Emmys was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and was the all-time lowest rating Emmy show until this one flopped along, taking aim over and over at the former Celebrity Apprentice host and current U.S. President.

Colbert tweeted that at least with the Emmys, the winners are determined by the popular vote, unlike Trump's win. But of course, Colbert didn't do his homework because the Emmys are not decided by popular vote--it's more like an electoral system, just like the presidency. (For more on Colbert making a fool of himself, go to Twitchy.com  and read the responses on Twitter.

It had to involve a lot of network planning to put the Emmys in part of the same time slot as Sunday Night Football. But based on the idea that when people want to watch a form of entertainment, which the Emmys used to be, and they have to put up with leftist political pandering, they tend to vote with the remote.

For those of you who didn't watch TV Sunday night, the Atlanta Falcons beat the Green Bay Packers 32-23.

I didn't get to see the start of the game so I don't know if anyone on either team 'took a knee' for the National Anthem.

Yet another leftist political display that is resulting in a loss of NFL viewership.

Last year's ABC broadcast of the Emmys drew 11.3 million viewers, down 18% from the previous year and the lowest until this year.

This year about 113 people watched their self-congratulatory award show. And if Sean Spicer wasn't allowed in the theater, the number would have swelled to 240 or more.

But it was allegedly a big hit in Serbia or some country that starts with an 'S'.
