Illegal immigrant with long rap sheet charged in deadly Calif. car crash

An illegal immigrant Estuardo Avarado, 45, has been deported five times, and like an unwanted distant relative who, when he visits and pockets your stuff, he keeps coming back.

Alvarado allegedly slammed into the back of Sandra Duran's vehicle on February 19th in North Hills. He was driving a 1999 Dodge Durango on a busy, rain-drenched road when he slammed into a parked car at a curb, police said. The car was Duran's Toyota Camry.

The Alvarado tried to flee the scene of the crash, according to police.

Sandra Duran died at the scene of blunt force trauma, the medical examiner said.

Federal authorities said that Alvarado is an illegal immigrant with a lengthy rap sheet that includes the five deportations.

Alvarado is from Lakeview Terrace and was charged with five felony counts in connection to the crash, including murder and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, as per the LA County District Attorney's office.

The POS pleaded not guilty.

Alvarado has been on the radar of ICE since 1998, when he was first deported. Since 1990, the scumcrumpet has been charged with over 20 felonies (FELONIES!!) and misdemeanors. Some cases reportedly include being a felon in possession of a weapon and the sale or transport of a controlled substance.

Prince of a guy. I'm sure he'll have plenty of character witnesses.

Previously, he was convicted or pleaded guilty to several charges, including driving under the influence and misdemeanor hit-and-run, while other charges have been dismissed or not prosecuted for unknown reasons.

So hit-and-run is kind of how Alvarado rolls.

ICE will finally take action against this POS.

"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Mr. Alvarado seeking to take him into custody if and when he is released by local authorities in order to pursue follow-up enforcement action," the media was told.

Alvarado is being held at the Men's Central Jail on $2.8 million bail. His next hearing is set for March 14th.
