Priest Abducted from retirement home: crickets

Aden, Yemen-- The terrorists who attacked a retirement home in Yemen last week, killing 16 people, 4 of whom were nuns, abducted an Indian Catholic priest. The home was established by a Mother Theresa charity group.

Sunita Kumar, a Missionaries of Charity spokeswoman, said the Father Tom Uzhunnalil was taken away by the attackers in handcuffs.

The chapel and center were destroyed by the terrorists, who, some think may have been devout members of the religion of peace.

The current whereabouts of the priest are unknown, but if the terrorists happen to be Islamists, one can only hope they don't torture him for sport.

The terrorists had entered the retirement home using the jihadi technique of taqiyya, or lying for the sake of Islam. They said they were there to visit their mother, but began shooting once they gained entrance. They went room-to-room, handcuffed the elderly residents, took them outside and shot each of them in the head.

Aden became a lawless place after the Saudi-led coalition recaptured the city from the Shi'ite Houthi rebels last summer. But the city continues to have a Muslim problem that has been exploited by ISIS.

The Pope has yet to weigh in on the priests' abduction as well as what's happening to Christians throughout the world, as well as Jews, gays and other non-Muslim groups.

That may be due to his belief that Islam is a religion of peace, or perhaps he is simply afraid to confront the real problem which is Islamic ideology taken to the extreme. I refer to it as orthodox Islam.

I go with the second possibility--do you agree?
