The Mein Kampf Religion and the Wimps that Help it Along

"The Koran is the Mein Kampf of a religion which has always aimed to eliminate the others" Oriana Fallaci (The Force of Reason, NY: Rizzoli International, 2004, p.305)

President Obama needs to be careful if he ever visits Sudan. He would be considered an apostate, or a Muslim who has left the religion. This is due to the fact that his father was a Muslim and, according to sharia law, that makes Obama a Muslim. But since Mr. Obama doesn't practice Islam, that makes him an apostate and would be grounds for termination (from life).

Doctor Meriam Yahya Ibrahim is a 27 year old woman who is 9 months pregnant. Her husband Daniel Wani, is a wheelchair-bound American citizen and the couple has a 20 month old son named Martin. Meriam's mother is Ethiopian Orthodox and her father is a Muslim who abandoned the family when Meriam was 6 years old, not unlike Obama's father returning to Kenya and abandoning them.

Meriam was brought up Christian and so too was Daniel. He has been trying to get a visa for Meriam to return to the United States where they planned to live in New Hampshire, the Live Free or Die state. The Sudanese government has detained them since 2011 because they claim Meriam is a Muslim and therefore an apostate, just like President Obama would be considered.

A distant relative of Meriam's stated that she engaged in adultery, which according to Islam, is punishable by death (along with being gay, lesbian, an Israeli Jew, and a variety of other excuses to whip off a head or throw stones).

Judge Abbas Mohammed (who'd a guessed that name?) Al-Khalifa sentenced Meriam to 100 lashes after her child is born--how considerate--and death by hanging 2 years afterwards.

Typical of the Obama administration's "tough" stance on the War on Women, along with their intolerance of injustice, State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf said, "We are deeply disturbed over the sentencing today of Meriam Yahya Ibrahim Ishag to death by hanging for apostasy. We are also deeply concerned by the flogging sentence for adultery. We understand that the court sentence can be appealed."

Harf then passively added: "We continue to call upon the Government of Sudan to respect the right to freedom of religion, a right which is enshrined in Sudan's own 2005 Interim Constitution as well as international human rights law. We call on the Sudanese legal authorities to approach this case with the compassion that is in keeping with the values of the Sudanese people."

It doesn't get any wimpier than that. I cannot imagine Ronald Reagan putting it so meekly. I imagine he might say, "Mr. Kiir, allow Meriam Yahya Ibrahim to leave your country with her family or you will pay a heavy price. We are prepared to do anything necessary to secure her freedom and will punish any country that impedes it."

Somehow, I don't imagine Obama saying that, but he can say "Pahkeestahn" like a pro.

In my latest novel, a New York reporter is taken hostage by terrorists. If POTUS refuses to release 3 Gitmo jihadists, the reporter will be killed in 24 hours—they will behead him and show it on the Internet. There is only one way out but the clock is ticking . . .
