Wrapping Up Zimmerman in Fox

It's 3:25 pm, Tuesday, July 10th, and court is in 15 minute recess in the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case. You remember President Obama saying that if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon. What he might have added that if he had a son with a white woman, he would have looked like George. But he didn't--he took sides.

So we will learn before I'm done here, whether Zimmerman will testify--if he does, he's crazy. Look how fast this is--they're back.

Mr. O'Mara, Zimmerman's defense attorney, is presenting more evidence. A photo of Zimmerman's head, and a time-line, as well as other evidence.

3:35 pm--Flash: Zimmerman has elected not to testify after consulting with his attorneys. The jury is not in the courtroom yet.

The defense has argued to dismiss all charges against Zimmerman and the prosecution has argued the opposite view. There will be 2 more witnesses in the State's rebuttal.

3:44 pm The defense has now rested in front of the jury. The gym owner, some guy named Pollack, I believe, is a rebuttal witness. There`s another witness who will be called today and another who might or might not be called tomorrow. He has just been sworn in.

I believe this trial is being brought to you by Lifestyle Lift with Debby Boone, and Empire Carpet by some old guy cartoon.

Prosecutor asked witness if he used Zimmerman in his advertising in his gym. He said, "Absolutely not", and O'Mara objected stating it is an improper use of rebuttal. My question is why would you advertise a gym failure like Zimmerman in the first place? The judge is having a sidebar with the lawyers. Since the evidence was never brought up, it should not be allowed at this point, in my non-lawyer humble opinion.

We now go to an Aleve commercial.

Well it's almost 4:00 pm and the sidebar continues. You would think the judge and attorneys would have the good sense to know that Shep Smith is going to be "outta here" in a few short minutes and the trial is going to continue without the TV viewers, but of course it will be streamed online via Fox. I suspect CNN is keeping it going because they've honed in on the trial as if there was no other news going on in the world. Just watch, when Neal Cavuto goes on, he'll show it too.

DealDash.com is showing how a woman (a real person, not an actor) just got an entire home for $43.41 or something. I used to think that actors were real people too--television is so enlightening.
