The two most important things one needs to ask about our president is: 1. is he telling the truth? and 2. what does he really believe about government?
When it comes to Barack Obama (BO), you cannot always be certain of either issue.
Okay, let's look at number 1. the issue of honesty. We remember how he claimed to be a Christian and definitely not a Muslim. He spent much of his formative years in Jakarta, Indonesia, the largest Islamic country in the world, and his father, Barack Obama Sr., was a Muslim. Junior minimized this during his election campaign (for good reason, of course). His step-father, Lolo Soetoro, was also a Muslim and it was rumored that his communist mother (more on that in a future blog) raised little BO as a Muslim, but that is neither here nor there, as we have no conclusive proof. But, in his book, Dreams from my Father, BO writes: "In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell my mother that I made faces during Koranic studies." Fact: in 1971, the time BO was recounting, only Muslim children studied Islam in school and the Christians studied Christianity in another room. This was reported by Hardi Priyono, the vice principal for curriculum. A teacher at the same school, Tine Hahiyary remembered young BO studying 'mengaji,' which is recitation of the Qur'an, and making reference to this recitation using this term usually means that the recitation is done in Arabic, the language Muslims must recite the Qur'an in, and a positive indicator that BO was Muslim.
In 2008, BO's Kenyan grandmother vehemently denied that BO, or even she, was Muslim, but in 2009, granny went to the Haj pilgrimage, where only Muslims can go due to the apartheid policy of Islam. But I'm not saying Barry Soetoro was or is a Muslim, I'm just saying what I know.
As I've mentioned in a previous blog, BO was the first United States President to bow to a monarch--King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Yes, a man of the Muslim faith. Moreover, after BO got elected, he made a very interesting speech in Cairo, on June 4, 2009, in which he said, "[m]uch has been made of the fact that an African-American with the name Barack Hussein Obama could be elected President." Then: "I am a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims." Of course he never actually said that his father was a Muslim, but let's keep going with this idea. He made several other references that could be construed as 'code' by Muslims. For example, he used the term "Holy Qur'an" and said, "Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them)". Finally, he also made the statement: "a greeting of peace from Muslim communities in my country, assalaamu alaykum." This greeting is used by Muslims to greet other Muslims, not non-Muslims greeting Muslims. And of course many remember the slip of the tongue he made with George Stephanopoulos when he made a self-reference that he was Muslim and Stephanopoulos quickly corrected his word and inserted "Christian."
But none of this is proof that BO is a Muslim and I'm not saying he is. I'm just not saying he isn't.
2. What does he really believe about government? Well, it should be clear by now that BO's politics is somewhere between socialism and Marxism. He does not see the USA as anything special, on par with other European nations, but that's the warmest his feelings get for the land that he presides over. His church mentor, the very Reverand Jeremiah Wright (who is actually quite left) was his spiritual leader for 20 years and a guy BO had to throw under the bus in order to get elected once it was learned that Wright had made some racist, disparaging remarks about our country. It is also interesting to note that Wright is buddies with my man Louis Farrakhan, and both of these gentlemen visited the White House twice between January and October of 2009. Of course the WH said that there are so many WH visitors that it had to be someone else with those names (Louis Farrakhan is really very common I guess) but Nasir Farrakhan, Louis' son, also visited the same day, and boy, that sure is some coincidence. This, of course, could also be considered a #1. issue above, but maybe the good Democrats at the White House are telling the truth.
They say you can tell something about a person by the friends he keeps, and BO is undoubtedly friends with Bill Ayers another visitor to the WH, along with his beautiful and talented wife, Bernadine Dohrn. It is at this lovely couple's home that BO began his campaign fundraising for his State Senate election in 1995. Bill, as his friends call him, was a member in good standing of the Weather Underground, a communist group that planted bombs at the Pentagon and Capitol building as well as other buildings. Luckily for the American soldiers that were targeted for one of his bombs (coward that he is), it went off prematurely in his home and he went into hiding as a fugitive for ten years. Unfortunately, the charges were dropped due to improprieties of the FBI investigation of the group. But Ayers, now out from under his rock, said in 2001, "I don't regret setting bombs . . . I feel we didn't do enough." But to his credit, he gave up terrorism and just remained a leftist and a professor at the University of Chicago.
The most disconcerting thing about BO is his political relationship with Islam. He does not seem to think Sharia (Islamic law) is a problem, in spite of how it devalues women, non-Muslims, and other groups. Whether or not he actually is a Muslim is not very important, because as President, he makes decisions as if he was a Muslim. Please understand, it isn't Muslims who are the problem, it's the orthodox followers of Islam, the jihadists, the Islamists, who are dangerous to our way of life in the West.
So, are we going to have BO in 2012? The decision is yours.
