"They're coming for the illegal alien patriots"

Not one DREAMer behind her
When a person is 77-years-old, shows lapses in memory and says crazy things, you might think twice before making them your real estate broker or manage your restaurant (if you have one to manage).

Why then is Nancy Pelosi still a California congresswoman?

Because liberals will vote for anyone who feels the same way they do.

In yet another one of her confused press conferences, Pelosi compared young folks who fall into the "DREAMer" category to the Japanese who were interned by then-President Franklin Delano Roosevelt during World War II.

Roosevelt, of course, was a Democrat, and it was he who made the decision to intern U.S. citizens. DREAMers are not U.S. citizens and, from what one can tell, they aren't being interned by Trump.

"And they came for me, and now they're coming for the DREAMers," she babbled to a crowd of supporters for the proposed legislation to give legal status to illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. when they were children.

"It's a honor to be here with the DREAMers [aka future Democrats]," she said, "the DREAMers, who are perpetuating, advancing the American dream with their courage and their optimism and their inspiration, they make America more American."

Yes, the courage their parents had about sneaking into the U.S., hoping not to get caught and then being sent out and told to come here legally like others who wait for their turn.

The optimism the DREAMers have that they will not be told to return to the country of family origin, along with their family who brought them here, and obtain legal status like our Constitution demands and law abiding people respect.

The inspiration for others who want to come here illegally. "If they can do it, so can you," is the only inspiration that comes to mind when you realistically analyze the situation.

Pelosi described an art exhibit she recently attended called "And then they came for me," a title likely inspired by Lutheran Minister Martin Niemöller's (1892-1984) famous quote:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--  Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--Because I was not a Trade Unionists.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--        Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.
"[I]t's about the internment of the Japanese-American patriots in our country who were interned into camps during World War II while their family members were fighting for America and for the world in World War II, they were in camps," she said, conveniently leaving out the party affiliation of FDR.

"And they came for me," she opined, "and now they're coming for the DREAMers."

She went on to say that "we owe these DREAMers for their patriotism, for their courage, their optimism to come forward."

But we don't.

In fact, one might say they lack patriotism because they lack respect for our laws. And it wasn't their courage and optimism that got them here in the first place--that credit goes to their parents who had the guts to break the law and the optimism to think they'd get away with it.

"But it's about America too," she continued. "The fight is for who we are as a country, too. They are the manifestation of that fight right now. But we cannot let them come for them."

Pelosi, as you can see, is trying to paint a picture of DREAMers being heroes, and pretends that it's their right to be here. And who we are as a country is that we are supposed to be a country of laws.

And when the old Democrat says "But we cannot let them come for them," she is attempting to make the Trump administration look like villains when all they're doing is upholding the existing law, a law the Democrats could have changed when they were in power under Obama.

Trump has decided to end the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) but will give Congress 6 months to pass legislation to make the next action a legal one.

The proverbial ball is in Congress' court.

Pelosi, ever the toady, ended her emetic speech with, "So thank you DREAMers for being stronger than anybody, for being stronger than anybody and for actually taking some risks for your families to keep America a country we take pride in being. Thank you for your patriotism."

Stronger than anybody? Really, Nancy?

There is no easy solution to the DACA situation. Yes, DREAMers are here through the illegal acts of their parents and no fault of their own and shouldn't be punished for it.

But is it fair to all of the immigrants who came here legally and waited or are still waiting for legal status?

Of course not--but don't make DREAMers out to be heroes. They have become opportunists and Nancy Pelosi has become senile.

Petition to Islamic Center of Davis: fire anti-Semitic Imam

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Socialist.
"Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Trade Unionist.
"Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Jew.
"Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me."--Martin NiemÓ§ller
Imam Ammar Shahin of the Islamic Center of Davis (ICD) in California has made himself famous for his anti-Semitic rant--a call straight out of the Qu'ran for the murder of Jews.

The Clarion Project has posted a petition to fire him.

This come after the ICD in a flaming bald-faced lie claimed their anti-Semitic imam wasn't anti-Semitic when he called on Muslims to fight the Jews and Allah to annihilate them.

Somehow we infidels have taken that out of context.

Shahin's words: "Allah does not change the situation of a people until they change their own situation. The Prophet Muhammed said, 'Judgment day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews.'"

Perhaps that's taken out of context. Perhaps Shahin meant that Muhammed wants Muslims to delight the Jews with parlor games and halvah.

He should have been more clear. After all, it's easy to think that someone who then tries to clarify his statement with: "The last hour will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews," said in plain English, might be taken to be anti-Semitic.

Shahin then prayed:
"Oh Allah, support the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the rest of the Muslim lands. Oh Allah, liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the filth of the Jews. Oh Allah, destroy those who closed the Al_Aqsa Mosque. Oh Allah, show us the black day that You inflict upon them, and the wonders of Your ability. Oh Allah, count them one by one and annihilate them down to the very last one. Do not spare any of them."
That's very easy to take out of context and surmise it to be an anti-Semitic diatribe. Of course Shahin only meant it as an 'Allah Joke'. The whole darn thing was taken out of context, according to ICD.

Shahin was very explicit for a "war of faith" against Jews. There was never any mention in his sermon that clarified that he was talking about only some Jews or Zionists, as Breitbart shamefully reported.

Please consider signing the petition . . . before they come for you and there's no one left to speak for you.

Islamic extremists don't merely hate Jews--they hate all of us who believe differently than they do.

Personally, I would like to see others beside Shahin getting fired--I like to have ICD closely monitored and, if necessary, closed down or have all the staff replaced with Muslims who don't hate everyone else.

What will Obama take from us next?

First it was the Obama administration trying to prevent US veterans from purchasing firearms, because the Veterans Affairs evaluations labeled veterans as "mentally defective." More than simply a disgusting insult, this information was put into the federal background data base.

Now the Orwellian (read Obama) administration wants to take away the Second Amendment rights of people who need help managing their Social Security benefits, for whatever reason they need help.

Next we might expect the Second Amendment rights of all members of the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy,"  as Hillary Clinton called conservatives, to be taken away. It isn't so outrageous to think so--history shows it has happened.

What is Obama's endgame?

In the 1938 German Weapons Act, which superseded the 1928 German weapons laws, many gun restrictions were relaxed in several areas.

Under this law, gun restriction only applied to handguns, not to long guns or ammunition.

The revisions allowed the purchase and transfer of rifles and shotguns and one could possess ammo with a permit. Even the legal age for purchasing firearms was lowered from 20 to 18, and gun permits were valid for 3 years, rather than 1 year.

Gun manufacturing required a permit, but Jews were no longer issued permits, and if a gun manufacturing company was even partly owned by a Jew, no permit was issued. In fact, any Jew caught in possession of a firearm or dealing in them was sentenced to 20 years in a concentration camp.

Sound familiar? Substitute "Conservative" for "Jew" and think about history.

In the United States, a majority of gun owners are conservatives. There are, of course, liberals and left-wing people in the entertainment industry and politics, for example, who own guns or have armed security ensuring their safety. They support the Second Amendment, but only when it applies to them.

We have a so-called president who is doing a gun-grab and slowly eroding our Constitution. We have a so-called president who is making deals with terrorists that are clearly bad and dangerous deals. He sees his legacy as more important than the security of our nation and of the world.

We have a Republican-dominated Congress that is allowing him to get away with this abuse of power. They complain but do nothing to curb his behavior.

"First they came for the Communists, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me." Martin Niemoller

Speak out.
