46 Minnesota Somalis charged with stealing $250 million in COVID-19 funds

Federal agents staked out a number of Feeding Our Future meal sites but discovered that there was nobody there supposedly feeding 50,000 children. It turns out the only people being 'fed' were Somalis using various shell companies as fronts to steal the funding, which they used to buy expensive cars and even property in Africa.

According  to the Twin Cities Pioneer Press, S&S Catering, led by Qamar Ahmed Hassan, received $13.8 million in federal funds. The FBI warrants note that, “Qamar Ahmed Hassan wrote approximately $27,000 in checks from S&S Catering bank accounts… to Amax Travel, a travel agency that specializes in Haji travel packages.”

The official federal indictments of 47 people have been issued and of these, 46 of those charged are Somalis.

Most of the individuals charged in the fraud scheme, prosecutors say, used the stolen funds to buy luxury vehicles, residential and commercial real estate, real estate in Kenya and Turkey, and to fund their international travel.

In 2019, Feeding Our Future received and disbursed about $3.4 million in federal funds to feed underprivileged children in the Minneapolis area. By 2021, the nonprofit had received almost $200 million in federal funds.

The scheme included Feeding Our Future allegedly claiming to open more than 250 Federal Child Nutrition Program sites across the state of Minnesota. Most of the 47 individuals claimed to operate these sites by filing fraudulent documents purporting to be feeding children, prosecutors allege.

Feeding Our Future executives, prosecutors claim, knew all along that the fraud was taking place but continued to submit fraudulent documents to secure Federal Child Nutrition Program funds for the sites claiming to be feeding children.

The DOJ announced the charges against 47 defendants for their alleged roles in exploiting a federally-funded child nutrition program to the tune of $250,000,000 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A key element in the scheme was to cry racism. A few politicians came forward to back up the alleged fraudsters and there remain questions regarding the extent to which they may have helped enable the fraud.

Being that it's Minnesota and Somalis, Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar comes to mind since the accused Somalis donated to her as well as State Senator Omar Fatch, and Shukri Olow who is running for state representative, State Rep. Hodan Hassan [a Keith Ellison crony] and others.

Rep. Ilhan Omar has made government meals for children into one of her signature issues, so there's that and that she likely married her own brother.

Psaki claims Biden never called for lockdowns--but, umm

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is hoping you have a memory like Joe Biden as she claims that our alleged President has never ever been "pro-lockdown" and that this so-called administration is focused on pushing all the "tools" the country has in its toolbox to fight the dreaded COVID-19. 

She said that most of the lockdowns occurred under Trump, although she didn't mention him by name.

This came during a press conference after a reporter asked her for a comment about a recent working study by Johns Hopkins University in which they found that lockdowns had "little to no effect on public health" during the pandemic. In fact, the study found that it made only a 0.2% difference which is statistically about zero.

In other words, lockdowns to avoid Covid deaths makes even less sense than banning driving to avoid road fatalities or cleaning your roof gutters.

The study was published by the Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health, and the Study of Business Enterprise. It was conducted by three professors who also found that lockdowns “imposed enormous economic and social costs” and are “ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument.”

In response to the reporter’s questions, Psaki advised the media to ask the White House medical experts about the findings of the study, while also saying it was inaccurate to say the Biden White House ever pushed lockdowns.

But is that true? Didn't Biden say that he would not rule out lockdowns if scientists recommend them?

And didn't he also say that all things considered, he was  open to returning to lockdowns? 

“I would note that the president has been clear[ly mumbling], we’re not pushing lockdowns," the ginger began. "We’ve not been pro-lockdown. That has not been his agenda. Most of the lockdowns actually happened under the previous president. What our objective has been is to convey that we have the tools we need to keep our country open thanks to the president’s leadership and focus on fighting the virus. And that’s reflected in the fact that 98% of schools are open, over 210 million Americans are fully vaccinated.”

“We have the tools to avoid lockdowns and we’re not moving back and that’s our intention at this point,” she claimed.

“You guys do believe that lockdowns were more harmful than helpful?” the reporter then pushed.

“Again I would point you to our scientific experts [LOL] on the specifics of a study,” Psaki responded. “But the president’s agenda the president’s approach has not been locked down it has been using the tools we have to prevent that.”

While Biden has never explicitly stated during his presidency that he was in favor of the lockdown, after Texas and Mississippi relaxed restrictions including business’ operational capacities, he indeed mumbled and apparently called the decisions “Neanderthal thinking.” He went on to mock them and called people who disagree with him "fatty" and a "sons of a b***h," as he ate a vanilla ice cream cone as Jill wiped his chin and led him carefully off the podium.

“I think it’s a big mistake,” Biden said in a response to a question about the two states. “Look, I hope everybody’s realized by now these masks make a difference. [They don't.] We are on the cusp of being able to fundamentally change the nature of this disease because of the way in which we’re able to get vaccines in people’s arms. We’ve been able to move that all the way up to the end of May to have enough for every American, to get every adult American to get a shot.”

Garbage governor loses dictatorial rights over houses of worship; ordered to pay $1.35M settlement over lockdown

Leftist California Governor Gavin Newsom had his dictator card updated. He is no longer permitted to rule with an iron fist over houses of worship. 

Newsom was ordered by a federal judge to pay $1.35 million in settlement to the Harvest Rock Church of Pasadena, California based on the state's oppressive lockdown mandates against houses of worship.

U.S. District Court Judge Jesus G. Bernal [whose given name is perfect for this post and the name I will use to reference him] also ruled that state restrictions on houses of worship would be permitted only if child infections rose 100%, statewide cases are at least 26 per 100,000 people, or available ICU hospital bed capacity falls below 20%, according to the Washington Examiner.

“Any new public health precautions on religious worship services and gatherings at places of worship not in the guidance [are included],” Jesus ruled. This marks the first statewide permanent injunction against COVID-19 restrictions on houses of worship in the country. Score: Jesus and the Harvest Rock Church 1 Newsom ZERO.

Mat Staver, who is founder of the nonprofit law firm Liberty Counsel, which represented Harvest Rock Church, described Newsom as “the worst governor in America” when it comes to religious liberty. 

But I believe that's selling Newsom short. He is also at the top of the garbage heap along with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) and Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) for being an enormous hypocrite in the style of the  "Do what I order, not what I do," power-hungry scumcrumpets who run those states.

“The church stayed open [during the lockdown], and the pastor and parishioners were threatened with daily criminal charges that were up to a year in prison,” Staver said.

“Gov. Newsom’s COVID restrictions intentionally discriminated against churches while providing preferential treatment to many secular businesses and gatherings,” Staver added. “What’s important is this ruling is permanent. He cannot ever do this again.”

Newsom received five rebukes from the Supreme Court, and now faces a recall election after a petition reached the requisite number of signatures in April to land on the ballot later this year.

Perhaps the recall will successfully remove him and replace him with a better person. The way Newsom treated houses of worship shows that he can go to hell.

NBC 5 political reporter Mary Ann Ahern made the initial allegation on Twitter, writing: “As ⁦ @chicagosmayor ⁩ reaches her two year midway point as mayor, her spokeswoman says Lightfoot is granting 1 on 1 interviews – only to Black or Brown journalists.”

Chicago PBS news anchor Paris Schultz responded: “I was told the same thing.”

Lightfoot’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Wire or Fox News.

“It is unclear when such a practice was enacted and if it only applies to local reporters, particularly after her MSNBC appearance with Stephanie Ruhle on Monday,” Fox News reported. “During her MSNBC interview, Lightfoot told Ruhle she would ‘encourage’ Chicago residents to continue wearing masks despite the new CDC guidance allowing those with the coronavirus vaccine to go without them.”

“I know for me personally, I’m going to continue to wear a mask in public and I’m going to encourage others to do so,” Lightfoot told Ruhle. “We’ve got to make sure that people are continuing to follow the public health guidance that has gotten us this far, and masks, I think, are a big and important part of that.”

Lightfoot said on Tuesday afternoon that her decision to continue to encourage people to wear masks was not based on distrust of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

“But I think their guidance last week regarding masks has people confused…We need clarification,” Lightfoot said. “We still have a long way to go to hit the critical mass (of vaccinations) or herd immunity. I don’t want people to have false confidence.”

“To say, ‘If you’re vaccinated, you don’t have to wear a mask,’ that’s great. But what about all of the other people who are out there that aren’t vaccinated?” Lightfoot added. “There’s no way to know that. So I think for the time being, most people are gonna continue to wear masks outside of their homes.”
