Biden administration shielded him from deportation and now he's arrested for brutal beach attack

The Biden administration waved this guy in, shielded him from deportation, and now he's been arrested for trying to drown a woman at a Florida beach. This is the kind of story that makes you wonder what exactly "border security" meant under the old regime under a brain-addled POTUS.

Conservative outlet, The Daily Wire, broke the exclusive: Venezuelan illegal immigrant Said Alexander Hernandez Gonzalez, 26, allegedly targeted a woman who was simply walking and chatting on the phone with her sister around 11 p.m. last Thursday at Tiger Shores Beach in Stuart.

Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek laid it out during a Monday press conference, and it's as brutal as it sounds.

This guy was paroled into the U.S. in 2023 courtesy of the Biden circus, then handed temporary protected status, which basically slapped a "do not deport" sticker on him, per the Department of Homeland Security's confirmation to the outlet.

Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin's statement: "Said Alexander Hernandez Gonzalez, a product of the Biden administration's open-border policies brutally attacked a woman on the beach and attempted to drown and kill her."

McLaughlin continued: "She bravely fought back and survived this wicked attack. ICE has lodged an immigration detainer with the Martin County Sheriff's office, and because of Florida's cooperation with ICE, this sicko will never walk American streets again. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, criminal illegal aliens are not welcome in the U.S."

Hernandez Gonzalez allegedly came up from behind, grabbed her by the throat, shoved her into the ocean, and held her under in a savage 3-5 minute struggle. The sheriff described how she fought like hell: "During that struggle, she punched him, she grabbed his groin area trying to get him to release her."

He just kept going: "He said he just held her down until she went limp," Budensiek said. Thinking he'd finished the job, the Venezuelan bolted, leaving her unconscious on the beach. Miraculously, she came to and flagged down a nearby officer to report it. Deputies scoured the area for two days with nothing.

Then Sunday night rolls around, a woman calls Port St. Lucie PD saying her boyfriend is "suicidal." Cops show up, and Hernandez Gonzalez starts confessing that he'd murdered a woman on a nearby beach.

Martin County detectives swooped in, confirmed that he's their guy. He admitted he was at the beach smoking marijuana and drinking vodka when he spotted her, got angry for whatever twisted reason, attacked, and tried to drown her. He told investigators he "stopped when he believed she was dead." Before fleeing, he grabbed her cell phone and chucked it into the ocean.

Then he went back to his car, downed more weed and booze, and took off. And when asked if he felt any remorse? "When asked if he was remorseful, Hernandez Gonzalez stated he felt nothing."

He's now facing attempted murder charges.

This is the predictable fallout from policies that prioritized catch-and-release over actual enforcement. The victim thankfully survived, but the fact that this monster was here at all, shielded from removal, says everything about the prior administration's priorities. Under the current setup, at least ICE is on it, and Florida's playing ball.
